We'll be rescheduling that to next month. >> So I think we are on to the superintendent report. >> Okay. Thank you. So good evening everyone. Uh just to reiterate, our reps are given the night off tonight since they didn't have a school day officially. So Daniel and Sophia will join us uh at our next meeting. Uh curriculum committee, just to follow up, we'll be in the process of looking to reschedule that. That was obviously scheduled for tonight and we need to find a

005place on the schedule or off the schedule uh for the curriculum committee to meet uh in the near future. So S will be reaching out to try to coordinate that uh with members of the curriculum committee uh as um we talked about. So March 9th is our next board meeting. We'd like to have the recognition pushed for the governance educator of the year recipients. >> The one thing that that I need to do just to confirm that is um I need to kind of coordinate that with a little bit more detail and specificity with the uh with the folks who uh we're inviting to attend. So obviously we coordinated tonight. People have connected with you know family and friends. Tonight's not happening. So uh I'm going to ask LSE my administrative assistant when we return

006uh hopefully on Wednesday uh to just confirm that our uh recipients are all available for March 9th. All right. Um, couple of things for tonight. Just to highlight, um, in the name of recognition, I do just want to highlight Adrien McDonald, who is an ESL teacher at the Walter Cy Black School. She was nominated as one of 11 educators throughout the state for the magic 983 uh, teachers who make a difference uh, recognition. So, one of her fellow educators, uh, Kim Armenti at WCB, uh, recommended her for this recognition. Just to pull just some of the language that we used for her, uh, nomination. Um, described Miss McDonald as being inclusive, supportive, fun, immersed, and patient. These are some of the words described by Mrs. um, described to describe Mrs. Adrien McDonald. She goes above

007and beyond on a daily basis for all of her students. in terms of her, you know, approach described her as, uh, looking at all of her students, uh, feeling valued regardless of their background, language, learning style, or ability level. So, congratulations to Miss McDonald. Staying with the theme of congratulations, our middle school uh girls basketball team um on Friday, this past Friday, um they were victorious in the middle school championship game against Lawrence Middle School. That game was held at Westwinds of Plainsboro North High School. Um happened to attend the game. It was very well attended. Actually, I was pack I was surprised they were host again at a high school, but when I walked in the gym, I I was I was somewhat pleasantly surprised to see that the bleachers were were packed. So,

008congratulations to our middle school students, our girls team, and to coaches Marcus and Lag for a very successful season. Just want to highlight uh something in the name of um student recognition. uh our athletic director Chris Verrag has been engaging in highlighting students, student athletes for each month uh throughout our season. So for the month of January, I just want to do a quick highlight of two students. Uh Gabby Sown Jules um is one student that was recognized and she's a wrestler and she had an impressive 9-2 record throughout the month of January. She also concluded that time by being the CVC champion uh at her weight class and uh that victory symbolized Gabby officially becoming the first twotime CVC girls champion in our program's history. So congratulations to Gabby. The uh the other student

009we're recognizing for the month of or student athlete we're recognizing for the month of January is Chris Florian. Chris is also a wrestler. Chris put together an incredible 17-2 record throughout the month of January. He concluded the month by capturing the CBC championship at the 126 lb division. So, congratulations to both of those students. In terms of some upcoming events, uh we have the district, I think the first ever, uh district orchestra festival, which is actually scheduled for Wednesday of this week, February 26, I'm sorry, 25th at 700 p.m. at the middle school auditorium. Uh hopefully we'll be we should be in good shape uh for that to still take place. And then we have during the month of March the High School Musical Bring It On which will run from March 12th through the

01015th at the Heightstown High School Auditorium. And I believe that concludes my report. Thank you, Mark. And uh second moving on, I have first opportunity for board member comments. No comments. Um, do we have um do we have any public comments that are other attendees? >> I don't see um any >> if any members of the public wish to speak, you could select raise your hand. I will unmute you and then you would be able to unmute and then you have three minutes. I don't see any. >> Yeah, I don't see anyone raising hands. >> Okay. Uh with that, uh we can move on to executive session. Um Mark, about how long do you think that'll be? >> This should be pretty quick. I'm going to say no more than 15 minutes. >> Okay. So,

011for process, we're all going to uh mute video and audio here and then meet in the uh the breakout which I think was the Google Meet. >> Yeah, we're gonna we're going to transition over to the Google Meet. So, if you go to your calendar invite uh you should see the invitation there and uh we'll jump on the Google Meet for executive session. Great. >> All right. Perfect. See you there. Hi, Amanda. It's good to see you. Good to see you, too. I think we're waiting for Jean to join back in. There she is. Okay. Back from executive session. Um, next item we have um old business uh committee meeting dates. Um, I think there's no updates there except for what you already went over about um needing to move the curriculum meeting. So, we'll

012update that calendar. >> Yeah, the next meeting is technically the wellness committee, but we'll we may need to do some adjustments depending on what happened today. So, we'll follow up. >> Okay. Okay. Uh now I have second opportunity for comments uh for board member comments. Does anyone have anything? There being no comments uh second opportunity for public comments. What is this actually? >> Okay, Kavita that's a company that we >> this is educier. So, this is a a company that we partner with to provide home instruction. Um this is outside of when we actually provide

014a human being uh who would go to a student's home preferably at the elementary level. We would we partner with actual uh live uh in person home instruction but at the secondary level for some circumstances we partner with this company who provides kind of a parallel curriculum um and platform to provide some asynchronous support to students who are in temporarily on home instruction. That's what this what educa reflects. >> Okay. And when you see like you know temporary situation uh any example which I want to understand. >> So home so home instruction typically is temporary when the student needs to be out of school for 10 consecutive days due to a health condition.
