Testing. Testing. One, two. Testing. Okay, I would like to call this meeting to to order for Cremon Cremon School Board of Education. The committee of the whole Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Madam Secretary, roll call, please. here. >> Mr. Dr. Hall >> I >> or here >> here >> Miss Zombris >> here. >> Miss Venegas >> here. >> Miss Wolf Focus myself here and Mr. Brown >> here. Let us stand for the pledge of allegiance led by our board secretary Chenine followed by our mission statement being read by our board member Elizabeth. >> I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Our mission statement is to engage and empower our students

to positively impact their community and future. >> Thank you both. Do we have any public comments? >> No. >> Okay. Not nothing electronically. Okay. Thank you. All right. Do we have any board updates? I have one um this Thursday we're hosting uh boys conference track meet which is the first track meet we're able to host uh since we put the facilities up and I can't even I don't even know the last time we hosted an event. So it's pretty exciting that that not only we're hosting a meet but it's boys conference. >> This a conference? >> Yeah. Yeah. This Thursday the 14th. >> Okay. Excellent. If I get the times, I'll try to reach out and get the times of when it starts. So, if anybody if you can't make it at maybe a specific

time, you can come if it starts at 11 or if you know, >> uh, teams arrive at 9:45. So, >> so it probably start around 11. >> Probably field events might start early. Um, I don't know the exact start time, but I know >> he said it starts at 11. >> 9:45. >> What day is set? >> Thursday 14th. So, if you're out and about and you can stop in at 1 or 3 or if possible, just good to check it out. >> Yeah, they usually have a lot of prelims up early. And then, >> and may I add too, that's also going to be the senior night for the track pe the athletes that are on the track team >> On Thursday. So, that'll be fun. >> Wow. >> Yeah. It's wrapping up pretty

quick. It seems like a lot of the sports and activities are having senior nights, so it's getting close. I think the 21st is the last day. So, it's >> it's it's good, but it's sad. >> Thursday, uh, middle school graduation. When is that? >> The 20th. >> Oh, that's the 20th. Okay. >> Yeah. >> I think that's what next Wednesday. >> Next Wednesday. >> And it should be at the high school main gym. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Great. Any other board updates? >> I'll share, too. Um, I had the privilege and honor of going to the softball field, um, the naming ceremony for Coach G. >> And so the, um, the response from the community, I I wish I played softball because she was so well respected and um, the community really showed up

for her. Past players showed up for her, her family showed up for her. So, it was really nice and uh, it just made me proud. >> Excellent. Excellent. Uh, I wanted to say I felt really bad that I couldn't make it. I did not even realize it's nobody's fault. It was my own fault. I didn't realize that it was that night. And that was something I really wanted to be at because I always have a a great respect for people of her status who've done what she's done. And she is still here. >> She hasn't left. She's working concessions. Like, and I'm not saying anybody doesn't like her, but like her or not, frustrated, whatever, she is still here. dedicated >> doing stuff for this uh for the school district regardless and and and I

I that's admirable for me. I I really appreciate >> I've been volunteering with her for just about 18 years >> and and I don't really know her. I just, you know, I just watch her from afar. The very first time I saw her, she was coaching a game in the summer at Thornwood and it was Creek versus Thornwood. And this was I wasn't even in education, I don't think. And that was the first time I I saw them play. Of >> course, Thornwood won. Yeah, I think she was she was here over third what over 30 years and and >> uh she's still here volunteering for the kids and for the coaches and >> it is amazing and I I actually went out I was out of town so I was there yesterday for senior

night at the softball field and the plaque is really nice. >> It's really nice. So um definitely deserve it. They presented her with a letterman jacket and the back was just filled with all these different badges. It was so sweet. It was really sweet and um I know she was proud for sure and it felt proud to be there representing the board as a board member there and then knowing that we help we were instrumental in the naming pieces of that like that felt really good. So it was an awesome night. >> Well I I I really appreciate you because it was a last minute deal. I had committed to it, but I got stuck in some construction traffic and I'm like, I got to go through this list. I called Bill. >> You did?

>> Dad, he was out of town. I called Jamie >> and I was at work. >> And she was at work. I was, "Oh no, where's a helicopter for me here?" And I was getting to you, Elizabeth and Dr. Hall. But Janine and accepting the role, she said, "I don't know much about her." I said, "Just say something. We we do have a slot to speak a little bit. I said, "Just say something good and you won't be lying." Okay. Yeah. Just say something good about it. I said, "She's a legend. There's something good about her. You won't be lying." >> Well, Mr. Brown, I didn't actually speak. >> Oh, you? Oh, okay. >> So, there was some challenges. Was like, "Do I have enough time to get miked up and all this stuff?" So,

I just passed respectfully to keep it on time. Okay. >> So, but still the presence was there. That's what matters that you stepped up. It was a last minute call to you >> and I wore my baseball jersey. >> Wow. >> I will tell you what we've done though with the complex. So, I was out of state and the athletic department, the high school athletic department put on Facebook the link that you can uh view it and I I could watch an inning or two of the game while it was going on. So if parents can't make the game, they can view the, you know, view the game online. It's really great the technology. And >> did we win that night? >> No. >> Oh, okay. >> No, we played um what's that? Oak. Yeah.

Started out unfortunately we didn't get the W um on that night. >> Oh, wow. >> That's okay. There more more games to play. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. >> So, I just want to make a comment as we've talked about naming. I've already received a few emails from various people in the community that would like to see, you know, certain things named after certain people. So, I'm just going to remind the community there is a process that is involved with naming. I don't get to pick it, you know, and the board necessarily doesn't get to pick it either, but there is a process per our board policy that a name could be brought before the board. We summon a committee. This the committee reviews the application for that and then that application comes back to

the board board. So, if there's anybody out there that's thinking about, you know, having something else named, uh, that's our process and if there's any questions that they can contact me and I can help them through that. >> Okay. Thank you. Any other >> one other thing? So, right now as we speak, um, our seniors are being recognized for those who have received scholarships. So, it's a scholarship award ceremony going on right now at the high school. And so proud to say how full the auditorium is. and I got to see a piece of the beginning part. Um I didn't get to see my son go across the stage yet, so I had to sneak out. But um >> it was still nice. I I had never been to a scholarship ceremony before. You know,

you're only a senior one time. And so um all the different scholarships and community scholarships or national scholarships, scholarships for just the students that are seniors. So that was good to see. So I'm just sharing that that is happening right now. And it's another positive thing and another positive thing that's happening for our students and for the school district and for the high school. >> If you haven't been a part of that, just to hear the scholarships is awesome. >> Yeah. One girl, she had like three, you know, the more they the names was called and they're like and she got this and she got this and she got this and so it was kind of fun. It was nice. >> Wow. That's so proud of all of our students for that. And thank you

board members for engaging and fitting in where you could. That's that's a collective effort. So, I'm really proud of you. And one other event that I just remember the it was University Park. >> I was going to say the CSK >> the CSK >> the pancake >> pancake breakfast. Yeah. Made it to that. Dr. Hall, myself and Superintendent and Dr. M. He's not here, is he? >> Yeah. He brought his daughter. So, that was a nice event. Uh, that's not AP Ali. >> Yes, she's here for something else. >> Oh, it is AP Ali. Oh, I'm sorry. Assistant principal of Ketta Scott Pnemon Elementary. I'm sorry, but she was there and she did she did a tremendous job mcing and coordinate things there. So, kudos to you. I didn't I said that looked like these

headlights not the greatest. Okay. But you did a tremendous job just mcing and whatever all you did in uh commemoration of 20 years CSK being a high performance school. So thank you so much. Thank you doc for participating and I saw you eat a piece of bacon. Okay. I just want to let you know. All right. All right. Thank you for the updates. Uh administrative updates back to you, superintendent. >> All right. Uh you stole some of my thunder on some of these. However, I've got um someone special here that you saw. It's um Miss Maya Ali. She is the assistant principal over at Mon. And I asked her to come tonight because I as I share with my FYI, they did a really cool thing at Mon. They went back to having the kids

just ride bicycles back to school. And um the parents that I talked to there, they said, "Wow, this just brings back the old days, old school." And everyone was just so delighted with that. So, we did send our videographer there to capture that. And this also goes out on social media, but I'm going to let Miss Ali talk about this as this was, I think, her uh her brainchild. >> Well, thank you, Dr. Kogan. Thank you for inviting me. Good evening, everyone. Uh so, like Dr. Cogni said, "I uh I'm not really a big social media person, but this bike buzz came through my feed." So, I reached out to a teacher in our building who because I'm thinking, "Oh, this is a great idea." Uh, everybody's why is a little different, but um reached

out to a teacher in our building who is a cyclist. She rides her bike to school often. And I said, "Hey, what do you think about this?" And she said, "This has been my dream." And I said, "Okay, well, let's make it happen." So, we got our safety team together. Uh, of course, it's volunteers in the building and, you know, we pitched it to them to see if it was something that they felt like they wanted to do. It was going to take a lot of planning. I immediately uh reached out to Robin Tobias. After I did that, I mentioned it to Dr. Carara and she asked me, "Did you speak with Mr. Tobias?" I said, "I sure did." Uh and then he collaborated with our SRO officer McCalpin. Uh and then after that they

just kind of took over the safety piece for us. Um we closed down streets. They engaged EMA uh the Monise Mon police department as well. And uh that safety piece was put in place by them. uh we secured a grant to help us to pay for helmets. But in the meantime, in between time, I ended up developing relationship with a man called named Demetrius Whitney, and he is the owner and operator of Bikes in the Hood. He donated bikes to our students who needed them. Uh he donated helmets because we were going to use the money to do that. Uh but we didn't need to use the money for those items. Instead, we used those funds from the surveys that our students took uh to purchase bike bells and certificates for students who participated. Uh

so that was a wonderful thing. Uh and for me personally, it was really seeing kids kind of get back to the basics. I was really surprised to see how many students showed up in spite of the rain. Uh we had grandparents, we had parents. Uh everybody showed up and persevered. Uh we just thought it was just a great way to encourage healthy habits and help our kids feel safe riding in a community that doesn't have a whole lot of sidewalks. They don't really get afforded the opportunity to do such. But we saw a lot of courage and perseverance, all those things kind of, you know, uh ingraining in them. Just don't give up. Some of them really struggled. Um but a lot of volunteers who helped to um encourage students as they were struggling along

the way. So we rode them there and then we rolled them back. Uh and then we put out a survey and have asked parents some things they thought maybe we could do differently in addition to our staff who showed up to help. So I'm not going to keep talking. I do have a video here that kind of captured the day. It's about two minutes long. So take a look. My name is Mayetta Ali and I am the assistant principal at Mooney Elementary School. Today we hosted our inaugural bike buzz here at Mooney Elementary where we invited our families, students, faculty, and staff to participate in a fun bike ride to and from school. and it helps them to understand how to be safe in their communities doing something so very simple. Hi, my name is

Michelle Smith. I am a teacher here at Mooney Elementary. With collaboration with our safety team, we came up with the bike bus. We construed many a meeting to decide how we could get these kids and parents safely to school. >> Today was like really fun. Even though we did get wet and a lot of stuff, it was just really fun. think about like, oh yeah, we got away. We were like splashing each other with the bikes and stuff. >> Really like hard like riding in the rain and it was like so bumpy out there, but I really liked it and I hope they do it again. >> I got to hang out with my friends, bike with my grandma. >> When we start getting to school, I was kind of a little slow >> down

a hill. It's going to be so much easier >> cuz I kind of went out and she Yeah. cheered me on. >> You got this. Keep going. You got it. >> My name is Danisha Kojo and I am a almost 17-year resident and parent of five through Mon Elementary. I'd like to thank the administration for what they've done today for allowing the kids to have this bike bus. This was absolutely amazing. I mean, the children being able to go back to the old school getting out and even in the rain. Some of the parents were like, "Okay, oh my goodness, this is a bit much." But the kids, of course, they love it. It felt good when my dad was there and I faced my fears and when I got to school, >> all the

people, they were just screaming and then I'm like, "Okay, I did it." Yeah, it was super fun. It was a lot of fun. I'm really excited. >> As you can say, this is a really good way to get our parents engaged with our kids. And it was fun to see grandma's out there writing. and so forth. So anyway, I thought that was a just a really great job of engaging our families and some good >> Can you use an electric motorized? >> No, not allowed. >> They were not allowed. Absolutely not. >> Counting me out then. >> Well, I am hoping that all of the schools will have their own bike bus. Um, that is a goal. It's what we started out trying to do, but we waited a little too late to engage everyone.

Um, but that's it. >> A thank you. >> Great job. Yeah, >> great job. >> That was excellent. Excellent. Any comments from the board? >> Oh, >> no. Anytime you can engage the the parents and the students and and ride the, you know, get outside, it's great. You know, anything off off of, you know, TV and and electronics. And look, they were all out there riding bikes and had helmets on and and uh EMA team from uh Mon, the police, the administration. Outstanding job. Everybody together. >> Bill, I remember a couple years ago, I think you donated a bunch of bikes or something like that. You was involved. >> Yeah, there was a I it was I think it was um the spaghetti dinner or something. So, we did a boys and a girls. >>

Yeah. So each year they'll have they used to have the spaghetti dinner and you'd go get raffle baskets and then I think we donated one boy's bike and one girl's bike to the one of the years. >> Excellent. Good. That was really good. That's that's what it's all about. >> I was all right until the little kids started talking and then when their voices started to like get a little squeaky, I'm like, "Oh no." And I started to cry. >> That's why we have tears. All righty. Superintendent, you could carry on. >> You're welcome to stick around, but you're welcome to get ready for tomorrow's day. >> I appreciate that. >> Have a great night. >> Take care. Be safe out there. >> We've just got a couple items here uh real quickly. These are

just uh letting you know these are going to be on the board uh packet next week for your vote. Um we are presenting to you uh board meetings of her 2x27. um just kind of the still the same uh routine that we're doing to um same Tuesdays of the month. So if there's no discussions on that, we'll kind of move on. And then again, um I have had uh our new secretary, Miss Wolf. She helped go through all the press plus issues. And again, I think you will find that they were all just updates and legal updates and so forth. Um, I did highlight one for the board in the FYI was just a policy regarding our um, end of the year events and I think I highlighted that as well uh, for those that

um, that there's going to be a cash bar and a an adult event after hours that you know there's provisions in there for that. That was one highlight and that was included in the press plus. So that that concludes uh, my updates. >> Okay. Uh, No, she didn't. They didn't do the board pay yet. He didn't do the board pay. >> No pay. >> Mr. Okrainski is up for business. He's got a couple items. >> Uh good evening, President Brown, distinguished members of the board of education. >> Dr. Cara Kaganise. I have four items, but they are quite routine uh around this time of the year. First being that we need to establish a date of June 9th, 2026 to hold the amended budget public hearing. Uh this has become a customary practice as we've

done a lot of construction over the last few years and actually leads into uh point B2, which is to transfer funds from our working cash in the amount of $17 million through the operations and maintenance fund. And then those funds will be in turn transferred to capital projects to replenish any funds that we pay through uh for construction throughout the year. So uh that's what leads to us to have to amend the budget and Mr. Johnson will be here next month to present the budget uh amended budget for approval. Um I'll pause right there as those two items kind of go together and see if we have any questions on those because this is the time for discussion on those two agenda items. Is the 17 million just on the new project for the stadium?

>> It's a combination of funds that were Yeah. closing out the Burns and Jones uh and bear construction work done for the sports and then also to the progress that we've made with the uh construction at the middle school as you've indicated Mr. Swallish. With the transferring of 17 million out of the working cash fund, what is the remaining funds that we would have in that category? >> Um, I can provide that in the FYI. I don't have those numbers off the top of my head. Um, but I can provide those to you guys in the FYI so we can take action on them next Tuesday. >> Okay. Thank you. >> No problem. >> Okay. Uh, moving on to discussion item number three. Uh this year we went out to bid for our garbage and

recycling services for the district. Um we had two biders. Uh and I'm proud to announce that the winning bid, the lowest bid went to our incumbent provider, Republican Services. After crunching the numbers, garbage uh services went down slightly under 6% and recycling services went down just under 21%. So, um, we've been looking to take action on that and award the bid for another two years to Republic Services to provide garbage and recycling services through the district. >> Okay. And item number four, uh, looking to have a discussion to accept the bid results for MI milk procurement. Uh this is one bid was received for milk procurement that was by our incumbent provider Prairie Farms and that is a flexible pricing model which we entered into two years ago. Um and I also included some historical

prices for milk uh over the past two years so you guys could see the fluctuations. Worked out real well for us when we did it the last two years and considering we only have one bidder now. Um, and I believe that's because Perry Farms is one of the largest providers of dairy in the area. No one else could really beat their prices. So, we're looking to enter that contract for one year with subsequent extensions for up to four years after that. But, it does give us an out after one year, but after being involved in a program for a couple years, that flexible pricing really didn't cause us any issues. So, we're looking to extend that relationship. So they were the winning bidder prior to this. They are our present. >> Yes sir. >> vendor

>> and they were the only one to bid on the service now. >> Okay. So what is our protocol or procedure when we have a single source bidding? Do we just allow that one bid bidder to bid or do we say allow oursel enough time to rebid it out or you feel comfortable that you're not going to get any biders? >> Um I feel comfortable we won't last year uh last time we went out two years ago we did have Wilkins Food Service who was a local provider but they couldn't beat the price and as I said I believe a lot of local vendors around here procure their milk from Perry Farms. So Perry Farms is essentially cutting out the middleman. >> So they run they run the market. It sounds like the only thing

I'm just afraid of them knowing that they're going to be a single source bidder for the most part and they can put their price in a price as they see fit, submit it to us, and they have no competitors. Well, Miss Pamza does a great job with that because she also does uh cross reference the prices through her purchasing cooperative cooperatives. Okay. And uh bid results were lower than the purchasing car. >> Okay, that's great. There's some checks and balances there. Okay, it looks it looks like from 2024, even with the two cents that's changing, it's still 5 cents cheaper than what we paid in 24. >> That's good. That's good. That's good. >> Even though they're the only ones. >> Yeah. You know, I I just looking holistically. If a vendor is out there

knowing they're going to be the only bidder, hey, you know what? I'm gonna give them a price. Take it or leave it. And they know they're the only ones. They have no competition and usually they bid high. >> Yeah. In situations like that, we leverage our relationship with the co-op. >> Got it. Great. >> Just curious on um why we would only do one year as since they are our preferred and we have a relationship with them, why not just do two or three? I'm just curious. >> There's an option He gave us they have he said one year or threeear options, right? >> Uh it's it's a one-year contract now with then we have the option to extend it up to four years as wolf folk. So if we don't like it after one

year, it gives us an out. If we're happy, we can just continue to extend and not not go out back to >> that's that's a smart way to do it. Okay. >> You know, so things can go wrong. It could go wrong. You know, you just didn't give us good service this year and you're not stuck in a four-year contract. >> Okay. Nice. Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> Thank you. Okay, we have Dr. Perkins. Um, >> I just want to say one thing on that one. Just something just came to my mind. It could go both ways, right? That one year with three-year option, the vendor can actually say, you know what, I don't want I don't want a renewal option. They can do that, right? >> I believe so. But, uh, >> so

just want to let you guys know that >> definitely happen. it can backfire. >> Well, that yeah, that's something to keep an eye on, especially with gas prices, but we'll definitely keep an eye on that. And as I said, we still have the relationship with the co-op event. >> So, maintain that. They you have an option and they also have an option to not renew after one year. >> Y Okay. I'm sorry, Dr. Perkins. Good evening to our board, to Dr. Coglin, to our families, staff, and students at home um viewing us. Each year uh we ask the uh board of ed to approve our consolidated district plan through consent agenda and that will come through um I think you've already received the copy but uh this is just an overview of what you are

approving and so uh the consolidated plan describes how uh the district receives our uh title funding and how we use our needs assessment to decide how we uh spend those funds. Uh before uh those funds are allocated and be are able to be spent, the board of education must approve a consolidated uh district plan. And so uh these are the uh basic funds. They come through title uh and then with the description that 40-page document that you have a copy of it just describes um how we use uh those funds and um what we do to support the learning of our students. And again, uh, we use a needs assessment and every, uh, person, uh, is in charge of giving us their feedback, um, from school improvement to, again, um, our youth in care, multilingual,

our idea funds, and again, how we, uh, distribute and use those uh, title grants. And so we use our needs assessment and we talk with our families. We use our strategic plan. Uh we use our principles and our staff uh to help us decide how those funds are spent. And that's all I just we wanted you to understand uh what that 40page very micro uh print that you approve every year after year uh what that what that uh pertains to. >> Yeah. And I read every word on it. >> Good. Thank you. Any questions? >> All right. Thank you. >> I do have one quick question. Sorry, stop you in your tracks. You you you have to go back uh with the title. Those those funds are from the federal government, right? >> Yes. These

are federal funds. >> Federal funds. So, we have still been getting our federal funds to run these programs. So far, no cuts in them, right? >> So, um, we're still waiting for next year's allocation. Um, but, uh, they have all been approved. >> Oh, wow. >> So, >> that's a good thing. >> We like this. Yes. >> Excellent. >> Okay. >> That's it. Okay. >> Wow. Real quick. Do you have any old business? Oh, any questions for Dr. Perkins? >> I do have old business. >> Old business. >> Just a couple things. >> Sure. >> Mr. Okazinski, >> if everybody saw uh seen the uh updates or the information that we get every week, >> yeah, FYI on track so far. Everything looks great in the middle school. Um it looks like the outside is

done and they're working on the inside for the addition. >> Yeah, we were able to get the roof watertight um that beginning of this week, end of last week. Um they've started with the framing on the first and second floor of the two exterior classrooms. Um actually the five interior classrooms upstairs we got case work in flooring down um and actually drop ceiling is in too on all >> those are almost done. >> Yeah almost done. Uh really upstairs and upper three classrooms according to my construction knowledge. We're just we're looking for baseboard but don't quote me on that. I'll give you guys the update on the look ahead schedule. Um downstairs one classroom flooring is done. Case work is done. They started putting a drop ceiling in and then the classroom to the right

when I was there this morning, they were starting with the flooring. Uh case works in uh no work done to the ceiling right now, but I'll continue to update you guys with schedules and pictures as I've been doing throughout the process. >> That's actually wonderful to keep everybody in the loop of exactly what the picture is. So, we're kind of see what what's going on there. >> Yeah, I actually got that from um Principal Schwoko over at Talala. Uh we used to do principal updates once a week and I would just kind of see what people had gripes about with the operations and then she just started sending pictures of kids doing great things. So I uh started putting pictures in the FYIs for you guys to track the construction progress. >> So now the

sports complex and we started with softball and baseball and now we're going to do a track meet. Are we done there? No, actually, uh, Keith and I are meeting representatives from Burns and Jones to address a few issues, mainly the grass growing there. I think we have to recede that a little bit more, but um, they're just minor punch list items and we'll be looking to close that project out. So, >> all right, good. And then, and then the other part, the second part of that is from last year, the older projects that we did last summer, the one before. Do we have any more open projects with with punch list and retention that we're holding? No, I believe we closed out uh I think it was a couple months ago we had the final

payout to reconstruction and >> I think I think it was last month or the one before we had a final payout. So >> Tala and ELC were in a combined project. So that one should be all closed out. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Uh that was a great update and also you included the vendors or the contractors timeline in progress. There was a report in there. you had to click on I think it was the acronym. >> Yeah, I've been hyperlinking it throughout the process. >> Hyperlink. Yeah, I saw that at Woo. It opened up and gave me a good snapshot of what's going on and I would like to get with you to just do a walk down sometime over the next couple weeks. >> I'm available when you are, sir. >> Uh 3:00 in

the morning. >> I'll see you there. >> Yeah, >> I'll let you in because my procs will work, not yours. But >> I doubt his ever worked. >> Thanks. I will tell you since hiring them our time our timing we've been on schedule. >> We have not been late. No, >> we haven't had things not would been running. Meaning >> it not that it wasn't terribly before but it it is very refreshing to hire someone put out the good product >> but be on time >> and it's no news is good news though. I mean updates >> leave it blank then this week so we >> that's good. >> Well, I will say Mr. Okazinski is out there every day. >> Great. >> On on his way into work, he's always stopping by and checking

on things. So, um, appreciate that. >> And, uh, not only President Brown, but if anyone would ever like to go, just let me know. We can make arrangements to get you. >> Well, I love when you put in there the electrical roughing is completed. I think it's some verbiage like that. Electrical. >> Yeah. >> Get it done. That's great. All right. I do forgive me, but something just came to my mind. If I can go back a little bit about the milk vendor with the one year with three years options. The options is that a price there already like what their base price is now plus 5% year one another 2% year two or >> no is is is really even in the one-year contract it's a variable price where it depends upon market conditions

and that's the same structure we had for the past two years when they beat Wilkins. So, when we went out to bid a couple years ago, we had two biders, Perry Farms and Wilkins. Wilkins had a fixed price. Perry Farms had the flexible market price, which was lower than uh Wilkins's fixed price. We said, "Let's see how this goes." And then it ended up staying lower than the fixed price that Will has prepared. So, >> there's ways to maneuver to win bids. And that's why I was kind of alluding to just what happened there with the options. Okay. >> Yeah, >> that's why we included the Pam did a great job um including some of the historical prices. So, as Bill pointed out, you guys can see the fluctuations and I can even give you

a month by month historical price if you'd like. I could >> No, that's good. You're on top of it. >> Thank you so much. All right. Any other old business? New business? We do have a reason to go into close session. The reason being the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees. >> Could I have a motion to go into close session for the reasons stated? >> Second. >> Moved by Bill, second by Dr. Hall. Any questions or concerns? >> Alex, would you be able to join us in close session? Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Hearing no questions or concerns. Roll call, please. Madam Secretary. >> Miss Beng. >> I. >> Dr. Hall. >> I. >> Mr. Swallage. >> I. >> Miss Zumb. >> I. >> Mr. Gyos. >> I. >> Miss

Wolf is an I. And then Mr. Brown. >> I. Motion carry. We will be in close session for approximately an hour and we will not take any further action thereafter. So, thank you public for joining us this evening. Please have a safe and productive rest of your evening. Take care.
