Testing one, two, three. Testing one, two, three. Good evening. I would like to call the special meeting of the Cremon Monet Board of Education meeting for Tuesday, Janu uh sorry, January August 5th, 2025. It is 6:30 p.m. and may I have a roll call, Madame Secretary? >> Absolutely. >> President Brownos >> here. >> Zombies >> here. >> Paul >> here. here. >> Um, in a moment we're going to rise for the pledge of allegiance. Um, would you be willing to lead the pledge of allegiance? And then Miss Venegas, would you do be willing to lead our mission statement? >> Sure. >> Thank you. I pledge allegiance to the flag of Americans to positively impact their community and future. >> Thank you both. Do we have any public comments? >> Do we have any board updates?

>> I think the only update is we start school in about a week >> roughly, right? I mean week and a half. >> Y excited. >> Is everything we're ready to go? >> Yes, it's smooth. It's been smooth over the summer. Smooth start. So, we're ready. >> Excellent. All right, hearing nothing else. Um, administrative updates, Dr. Cognelise. >> Uh, well, that's actually I was going to say we're uh really excited about um opening um our school year next week. We're going to be starting with new teacher orientation, new staff orientation Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and then we kick off with our two-day institute day. Um we're reversing it this year. We're starting Thursday where it's going to be at the building and then Friday we're going to be our opening day together um so people can

catch up with each other and I know invitation was out to all the board members if you are able to make it. It is during work time so we recognize that it could be difficult but we're excited about um that and then our students will be here on the 18th on Monday so we are ready to go. >> That's good. >> Um the other good news I was just out this afternoon uh we had our homecoming committee that was with us. They met us out for their tour of the stadium and they are super excited about what they saw. Uh Sue G was out, Coach G, so she could see the area. She was out there with her husband. So they're really excited about things that were going on. And we had a chance to

tour the actually the inside of the building as well where um the uh the athletes will be um the locker rooms and things like that as well as the concession stand. So anyway, everything is on time to finish um even with the rain that we had earlier this year, but we are set to open and uh have it ready to go. We have our I think it was September 12th is our first game and then our homecoming game is October 4th, so we're all set. >> Yeah, I met Jason last week uh early in the morning and went through it. It's absolutely beautiful. >> It's turning out really fantastic. >> It's bigger than I thought. I don't, you know, we see it on the plans, the blueprints, and you think, "Oh, I think I know

what it is." But, uh, it's way bigger than we thought. And I think the other thing that was added is we shot put that was new, uh, that was added. So, a couple little goodies in there >> besides the the stadium part, the the turf, the fact that we'll be able to host um track meets, everything will be, you know, up to speed. It'll be somewhat legal where we'll have everything proper. It's going to be really fantastic because know our coaches work really hard, our student athletes work really hard um on track and field, let alone all the other sports, soccer and football and band that's going to use that. So, it's it's going to be really great. >> Yeah, we're actually scheduled to host the conference track meet uh in the spring next year

and then our goal after that would be to host a sectional. >> That's amazing. >> I think we have to wait about three years or something like that. But yeah, we're really excited to bring track and field back to Creek High School. >> Yep. >> Uh, one thing I do want the community to know because uh, one of our members of the homecoming committee asked us when can people get on the track, you know, because they're seeing it being laid and so forth. So, we're asking the community members to please refrain from that until we can um, really do a ribbon cutting and opening and then people will be invited. We're we're intending to um post hours that people in the community can walk the track in the morning. We have a lot of health-minded

people that want to get out and walk that track and I think uh it'll be a real asset to the community to use. >> So is September 12th senior night and that is that the ribbon cutting? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So then I would say realistically by then will it be striped? >> No, actually that's what I was just going to comment on. Um the uh striping will take place probably in late September, early October and once it's striped then we'll be able to open up to community members. Uh it's just not a lot of companies that do striping of tracks and obviously summertime is their their busy time. So they won't allow you to schedule until the track is ready. Um so we're looking to have it painted uh with the blue

and the gold heat exchanges soon and then we'll be proceeding with the striping of the track and after that we'll be opening up to the public. I was going to say after that then we can make an announcement or something that it is open. >> Yeah, we'll put it on social media to get the word out there and so forth. So anyway, just want to make sure I mention that to anybody that was watching. >> I remember that at one point we were talking about the opportunities for community members to utilize our facilities once they get up and running. Who do they go to for that if they say, "Hey, I want to use the track >> central office, I think." Right? >> Yeah. over on our our uh our website, if you go into

the buildings and ground, there's a place for uh facility usage. Okay. And uh they can access any of our buildings and um >> Yes. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Yeah. And one other update is Jason, we >> the middle school project is started. So if you guys got the email and to see how that's already starting to come, we're starting that which is great. So >> yeah, one will finish and the other's going to be full-blown starting. So, um, that's right. We're looking forward to that as well. >> That's all I have. Madam Secret Madam Madam President, >> all right, we're going to move right along to consent agenda approval. Um, under a um we have superintendent one, approve regular meeting minutes of July 15, 2025. Approve regular meeting close session minutes of July 15,

0102025. Approve press plus 118 revisions. Approve review of close session minutes January 25th through June 25th. Under personnel and culture, approve personnel report. approve certified employment reassignment, resignation, and unpaid leave of absence of educational support employment reassignment and resignation. And two, approve revisions to 2526 student handbook. >> May I have a motion? >> So moved. >> Second. >> Okay. >> Seconded by Janine. You just didn't hear her, Alex. I'm sorry. Roll call, please. >> Gyos, >> I. >> Benz, >> I. >> Wolf, I swallitch. >> I >> Zeiss Stumbris >> I. >> Thank you. Moving on to number eight under action reports. A personnel and culture approved Kids Count LLC contract for 2526. May I have a motion to approve? >> Moved. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Moved by Alex, seconded by Bill. Mr.

Salish, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. >> Roll call. Miss Wolf >> Salage >> I >> Venegas >> I >> Gyos >> I >> Wolf fog is I and Zeiss Numbress >> I do we have any old business >> I do um I just wanted to revisit and see if we've had any communication with the education foundation about giving us a annual report out or whatever according to our policy has any communication happened? >> Um, >> I sit on that committee, so I didn't want to say anything if it's already been said or if that if I can take that as an action item. I don't mind doing that, but I just wondered first. >> I I'd have to say no. I'd have to go back and revisit that with uh the president. >> Okay.

>> So, I can do that. I will top of my list. >> It may be some good timing with the fund run coming on October 4th. So, it just might be good timing for them to come anyway to promote the fund run and present it to the board. >> Okay. >> That's a fund run from the middle school, right? >> It's for the district. >> But I mean, it's that's where we have it, right? That's where we were last year. >> So, they are I believe so. Um they are looking to utilize and have the stadium be the end, the new stadium that day, be the finish line. So, I know that they were working with the cross country track team to help identify what the route would look like for the 5K considering all

the new construction. So, that's the last that I've heard. >> Yeah. And the reason I bring that up is just so that we as a board can help promote that throughout the communities. >> Absolutely. You know, we will be asking the board for support. Yeah, it was a good time last year. >> Do I hear any other old business? >> No. >> Is there any new business? >> Going into closed. >> We don't have a reason to go into closed tonight. So thanks everybody. Can I get a motion to adjourn? >> Moved. >> Second. >> All right. Gyos >> I >> Salich >> I >> Benz >> I. >> Woke an I. Motion passes. >> I just kidding. Zeiss Dumbris >> I. Yes. Motion passes and the meeting is over at 6:41 p.m. Thank you

everybody.
