001Hey, good evening everyone. Thank you for coming. Um, in accordance with the requirements of the Open Public Meetings Act, chapter 231 PL1975 announcement, I wish to announce that the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Law was enacted to ensure the right of the public to have advanced notice of and to attend the meetings of public bodies at which any business affecting their interest is discussed or acted upon. In accordance with the provisions of this act, the school district of the Cadams Board of Education has caused notice of this meeting to be published by having the date, time, and place thereof posted in the board administrative offices, sent to the clerks of Chattam Burough and Chattam Township, Library of the Cadams, the Chattam Courier, the Daily. Ms. Ross here. Mr. Allen, here. Miss Allen, Mr. Delandro here,
002Miss Peek here, Mr. Ryan here, Mr. Smith, Miss Weber here, Dr. Zang here, and M. President United States of America to the Republic. not working. Oh, now kind of sort of An's cutting in and out. Should I just give her mine? Okay. Okay. Um, I just want to say my first comment and my comment is I want to thank Summer Toades for being our student liaison. absolutely amazing. Did all her homework, gave us the indepth reports of the student body and cannot enough. We wish her well for the rest of her pendis. This not working but um keep going. Can't turn your head. You have to keep bringing me the Britney Spears mic. And Summer was able to answer our questions too. Like when we had when we needed insight like on the spot, Summer
003was able to fill in the gaps. Hey, what do the students feel about that? What are they thinking? How would this, you know, how would this unfold? What's the reaction going to be? So, it was really invaluable. So, thank you, Summer. It's been very, very Thank you enough. You were absolutely amazing. And degree, which was part. Yes, we wish you nothing but the best. You're gonna have an amazing rest. Let us know. Keep us posted. Given her mine, I could give her breakfast. For anybody who didn't hear that, Summer's amazing and we couldn't be happier to have had her and we really were lucky and she truly deserved it. She gave us the best reports and the updates and um and like like Miss Weber said, she was also there for feedback when we needed
004it on the student body as well. So um yeah, so that's that and we're going to miss you a ton. Uh moving on to the administrative report. You can Oh, you want to do it now? Yeah. Not during board business. You want to do it now? Yeah. Okay, fine. It will be long. Yeah, go ahead. Miss Weber is going to give us an update on the um previous lawsuit with Missenra. Oh, great. Thank you, Ann. Um yes, as Ann just mentioned um as president of the board and asked me to just cover a summary of what where we are now um and how we actually got here. So, I know we have some new administrators. We definitely have some new board members. So, right now, where it stands is with the Supreme Court. As of
005this morning, we were waiting to hear if they were going to hear the case at all. Um, but if I could just back up for seven years very quickly. Um, I just want to fill everybody in on how we got here. So in 2018, seven years ago, there was an initial lawsuit filed by a parent claiming that the um their students first amendment rights, the second clause of the first amendments rights were violated based on some videos and and uh curriculum in the classroom that Islam was being pushed as a particular religion. So that was the first lawsuit and that went to the district court and that was dismissed on summary judgement. And what that means is it didn't even have enough credence to move forward beyond that. So that was in 2018. That cost
006us a lot of money. The lawyers made out like bandits. They made a lot of money. It cost the taxpayers of Cadam a lot of money. That wasn't enough. The plaintiff Libby Hills and Wrath. The case is Libby Hills and Wrath versus School District of the Cadam. In 2021, there was the first appeal to the third circuit. So district court is overseen for us by the third circuit. They heard the appeal. The third per the third court third circuit court affirmed the lower court's ruling finding that no establishment cause was violated. So first law in 18 was plaintiffs loss number one 2021 painless plaintiffs lost two number two still not done spending taxpayers money. Miss Hillsenrath then proceeds to file a second appeal with the third third circuit and a panel of judges heard again
007her her complaint that the school district was trying to indoctrinate her child into a particular religion. The outcome of that reaffirmed the dismissal and said that the instructional material were educational, not proatile. Okay, loss number three. We thinking, okay, we're done, right? No, no, no, no, no. Miss Hillsenrath wants to spend more of the taxpayers's money and she wants to take it to the Supreme Court. However, there there based on the law, she has no right of appeal. So, the only other way to get to the Supreme Court is to petition them. So, there's a certy or assert request to ask them to hear the the case. That was filed in uh 2025 uh September of 2025, this this um this past September. And the briefs were due by no by November. And basically we
008are awaiting the decision of the Supreme Court which came down today. Um and the decision they're all at at this point they're just making a decision on the cert. Do we hear the case? Do we not hear the case? In record time it often takes months for the Supreme Court to decide if they're going to hear a case or not. Within weeks they denied the C. Which means this can't case there's no other higher court. This case is finally done. We've we can stop the the meter running on our attorney's fees. We can stop the meter running on our our teachers having to go to depositions. We could stop the meter running on the amount of money that the taxpayers have spent on this. Um so it's it's win number four. Good guys four Libby
009Hills and Wrath Zero. But because the teachers do such a great job, I just have to take one more minute to say each of the courts were were very impressed with our curriculum and they they made comments throughout since 2007. But in if I could just go through a couple the lessons surveyed multiple religions to teach world c culture. It was a secular purpose. The materials describe the beliefs and practices of all the world's ma major religions. Uh during the first appeal the judge the court said um the course was designed to re reflective intent to inform and not to endorse. The court rejected isolating out any particular um phrases or videos which the plaintiff tried to do and said this video was harmful versus taking the whole lesson in totality. Um another judge said
010the instruction was informative and not devotional. The the on the second appeal, this is my favorite, on the second appeal, the judge said it they have to do what's called a reasonable reasonable observer test. And the judge said, "A reasonable parent would see culture literacy, not endorsement." Clearly, seven years later, this was not a reasonable parent. Again, it was affirm. So, again, lost in 2018, lost in 2021, lost in 23 and 25, and here we are at the end of 25. Theert was denied. So, we can put this to bed finally. I'm sorry it cost so much money. Um Ann and I are here at the beginning so we know how painful it was to the to a lot of the teachers and the staff. They had to we they got pulled out of the
011district for hours and weeks at a time for depositions and a completely baseless case as proven four times by multiple courts including the Supreme Court. So thank you an for the time. This has been a very frustrating case and again I just have to thank our teachers for the absolutely marvelous curriculum that they put together in in the middle school and that was that was affirmed by many many judges. Uh, I'd like to thank the K to2 schools for the stuff the bus initiative where they helped to stock the food pantry for helping hands. It was wonderful and they did a great job. U, I'd also like to thank the CEA and staff throughout the district. They raised over $4,300 to buy grocery gift cards for families in the district that are facing food insecurity.
012They always go above and beyond and they care so deeply about the students and families that we serve. And I cannot thank all of them enough. I'd also like to thank Kate Dantis and all of the staff who have contributed to the district-wide giving tree, which is an initiative that provides um presents, money, gift cards to families in the district for the holidays. I'd like to recognize three teachers. Cecilia, who was nominated for the 2025 New Jersey Chinese Teacher Educator of the Year Award, Julie Camp, who was recognized by TCJ. She's the recipient of their high school teacher of sociology per prize. It's an annual prize that honors high school educators who have been exceptionally effective in introducing the discipline of sociology. It's also pretty wonderful that a former student of hers nominated her who's
013currently at CCJ. So, it's wonderful that they're still thinking about her impact and Evan Picarella who was nominated for the divisional coach of the year. So, congratulations to these three staff members. I'd like to thank Dr. Donahghue and Dr. Burer. The first round of the dyslexia screener was successfully completed and Dr. Burgerer called over a hundred families to speak with them regarding their children's results. So, we are using the data collected by that dyslexia screener to inform our instruction. It was a huge initiative and I'd like to thank everyone involved with it, including the staff who again went above and beyond implementing that screener. Congratulations to the 19 Cadam High School Division One athletes. They are they all signed and there may be potentially more coming. So, it's a very exciting time. It's one of
014the largest numbers in the history of Cadam. And a huge congratulations to the CHS girls soccer team who are state champions. And you'll see on the agenda that Dr. Crawford and Mrs. Faria are traveling to the National Science Teacher Association's conference in April where they are presenting on the topic of bringing science standards to life through play. So we are very proud of them for their work there. And Taco Cats, our CMS robotics team, received an invitation to compete at the regional championships which will be held this weekend. So congratulations to our CMS robotics team, the Taco Cats. And finally, I want to thank Summer Toedesco for the wonderful job that she did as the student liaison. Summer, I see you in a variety of settings. You are a wonderful, wonderful human being. You are
015always available to help everyone and you've done a wonderful job in this role. So, thank you. You will be missed. [Applause] Okay. Amazing. Um, business administrators report. I'd like to take the opportunity to introduce Mr. John Fina, director from PK O' Conor Davis, who is the district's auditor uh to present the audit report of uh from the fiscal year 2024 2025. Good evening everybody. Uh thank you again for having me here tonight. Uh again, my name is John Fina. I was the director on the audit of the school district of the Cadams for PKF Okconor Davies uh for the June 30th, 2025 audit. Uh before I get started, I always like to uh acknowledge and thank the district staff for their assistance during the audit. Um Peter and Patricia and their and their staff uh
016did a really good job. They always are very cooperative in getting us what we need. Uh it's not only the business office that helps us get what we need. Uh this year we had to get involvement from human resources, IT, food services, special services, the superintendent's office, all provided information to help us get the 150 page document completed that you received uh on Friday. Um, we started this audit in August and we just finished it on December 5th and we were working pretty steady from the middle of August right through I would say the end of October in constant contact with the district and gathering information and getting letters from attorneys right up until uh December 4th. So uh it's a big process and uh we put in hundreds of hours to get the job
017done and it requires equal cooperation from district from the district people. So again thank you for that. Uh just to give you an idea of what we do uh big focus of our procedures is internal controls. Uh what so what we do is we make sure there's proper procedures in place to record transactions to approve transactions and to safeguard district assets. I'm happy to report that there was no major no major findings or uh exceptions in any of our testing that we did this year. Again, the audit was completed as of December 5th, which was the state deadline uh for the audit summary, which was the electronic submission. And believe it or not, the state has still not set the deadline for the paper report that you received uh due to some uh delays with
018getting information from the federal government, but it is complete and it is done ahead of the deadline. Uh as far as the report goes, the more The most important part of the uh audit is the audit opinion and once again the chat earned an unmodified opinion in the audit which means that that is the highest level of opinion that we can give. Also we do a single audit which is uh which is a required uh audit when uh there are certain levels of federal and state spending. The district reached those levels for both the federal spending and the state spending this year. So, a federal audit, federal single audit, and a federal uh state single audit were both completed. We tested the IDEA grant for the federal audit and the extraordinary aid, transportation aid, SDA
019route grants, and the state aid cluster for the state side of the single audit. You also received uh the auditor's management report which is the skinny report that second report that you got and there were three minor recommendations in that report this year. One was related to student activities, one was related to the accounting for uh capital projects in fund in the capital projects fund and the third was a a minor recommendation related to the extraordinary aid grant. As far as the financial results go, district continues to be in good financial position. Uh the general fund, which is the main operating fund of the district, you have $13.6 million in fund balance of that 2.4 million is unassigned, which uh is like is the cushion that you're allowed to keep and that's the maximum amount
020that you're allowed to keep uh based on a calculation prescribed by state statute. Uh Uh the district continues to have strong reserves. Uh especially the capital reserve, you're able to keep that amount at about 8.7 million. You did withdraw uh 3.6 to fund capital projects during the year, but at the end of the year, you put able to deposit about 3.8 million back into that account for future facilities needs. As far as excess surplus goes, this is amounts that will are required to be budgeted. Um, as of June 30th, 24, you have 1.3 million in excess surplus. That amount is being used in the budget that you're in right now. Then as of June 30th 25, that amount was 290,000 and that will be used in the 2026 2027 budget. So, that's that's pretty much
021it for uh what I have to present, but I can open up to any questions that anybody may have. I do have a quick question, John, and I don't mean to put you on the spot. This is more um hypothetical. If a district, for example, was to be $19 million in the hole, h I mean, would an audit prevent that from happening? Like, uh yes. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Yes. We we have uh procedures in place to where um Okay. So, the school districts of the shadam with these audits that something like that could never happen because you're looking at the books and you're making sure that everything is that we have enough money to pay our bills and and such. Correct. And not breaking any laws. Correct. Okay. Thank you. I appreciate it. Does a
022copy of the audit go on our website? Yes. Yes. the fi the final copies of the financial report and the audit management recommendation report uh get put on the website every year and there's a history of all the past reports as well. Any other questions for John? No. Thanks John. Appreciate you. Thank you very much everybody. Just very quickly, two other items. I want to congratulate Miss Ross, Dr. Zang, and Mr. Delandro on their reelection from the November uh voting through another three-year term on the board. So, congratulations. and we will do the routine sw the swearing in back in uh in Janu at the January meeting. And on the other note uh for the construction update um working alongside the superintendent and we'll be gathering information from the schools and other areas and then
023working with finance as to which capital projects should be included in the 2627 budget. And that's all I have unless there's other questions. Perfect. Thank you, Mr. Dquila. Uh, moving on to summer for your final report. So, I have a couple things on the notes for the report today. So, in sports, I know Dr. um, girls soccer closed out our fall season with a really huge state title win against Shaunie. This was the NJSIA group three state title and it was um the fourth time the girls won this all time and the second time in the last three years. So that just goes to show how awesome they are. So congratulations to them. Um Marcus Venezuela Valenuela um a senior at Chhattam High School sets 5K record with a time of 1538 at the home
024course. Um congratulations to him. He is actually leading into my next thing. He is going to American University division one. So now I'm going to talk about athletic scenees. So, as Dr. Cino said, um there are about 20 plus and more continuing to sign um D1 athletes uh continuing on in college that participated in Chattam Signing Day back in November. Um this group consisted of 20 plus athletes participating in sports including lacrosse, soccer, football, field hockey, track and field, swimming, and rowing. Um another event will be held later in the year for students that plan on going division three. So, congratulations to all of our career athletes. um for the arts. So, we recently had our fall play, Pride and Prejudice, here in the auditorium. Um this was an incredible production performed by equally talented
025and incredible actors and actresses. So, congratulations to them. And they will are starting auditions for the which is crazy the turnaround, but they are starting auditions for the spring musical, which will be Chicago. So, make sure you don't miss out on that. Um back in November again, we recently had a new system of testing. Um things were very smooth and for I know the seniors and I think the freshman maybe didn't or I know I know definitely the seniors didn't have to participate in this testing. So for any students that didn't participate there were delayed openings um which was very nice. And um our students against cancer club at the high school recently held an event called cougars against cancer. This was an awareness event u to raise money for cancer research. They raised over
026$2,000. um over a hundred people attended the event and there was guest speakers to talk about research and um stories about that. So this event will become annual. So please make sure not to miss out on it next year. Um and we also will be holding an alumni return day before winter break. This is an opportunity for the senior class to listen to some class of 2025 graduates uh and alumni speak about how their transition to college went and how um they're enjoying and how they're liking it. So, it's a really good great opportunity, especially with a bunch of colleges and decisions coming back um in December into the rest of the year. And lastly, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone here on the board. I've had s like cannot explain enough
027how much like I've really enjoyed being here. Um I feel like I've learned so much and I hope to continue the skills I've learned here into the future and wherever I end up going in college. And for anyone that wants to come on the board, especially like juniors and sophomores, I know they're starting like the kind of application process. I cannot recommend this enough. I've genuinely had such a fun time and it's very very much an awesome experience and I've learned a lot. So I just want to say thank you to everyone. Yeah. Okay. Now moving on to our committee reports personnel. Miss Weber. Uh we have not met but we are meeting on Wednesday of this week the 10th of December. Perfect. Thank you. Curriculum Miss Ross. Yes. Um, we did meet on Wednesday,
028November 12th, and we talked about a few topics, including, as Dr. Sortino mentioned, uh, the NJSLA adapted field test, which was completed at Lafayette, the middle school, and the high school last month without any major hiccups. So, we're happy that staff and technology will be ready for the implementation of the actual exam in the spring. Um, the first dyslexia screener was also administered. uh results were uploaded into Genesis for parents and also sent to the state. Parents who had a child that was identified as being at risk uh were contacted via phone by Dr. Burgerer and the basic skills teachers have begun working with these students. The next testing cycle will be completed by the second week of January. Uh we also reviewed plans for math pathways at the high school. So this is a
029proposal to offer a six-w weekek geometry course this summer. The course would be available to students who completed math 8 in 8th grade and algebra 1 in 9th grade. So students would take a geometry class in the summer between their ninth and tth grades and then with a successful completion of the class um students would take algebra 2 and 10th grade um and then pre-calculus in 11th getting them to calculus in grade 12. Uh further details will be shared with parents in advance of the course selections for next year. And finally, an update on the gifted and talented program. Dr. Donahghue presented an overview of the revised gifted intelligent program at the Lafayette PTO meeting last month on the 20th. Parents who felt that their child could be a candidate were encouraged to complete a
030survey. And there are multiple measures in place to assess potential students. quantitative ones like big ideas and the Kogat test results, qualitative data based on creativity and parent input and then literacy assessments as well. A committee is actually going to be meeting um at the end of this week on the 11th to determine eligibility and then notification letters will be sent right before Christmas break on the 23rd of December and the program is set to launch in mid January. And uh like personnel, our next meeting will also be for curriculum this Wednesday, December 10th. So I'll take any questions. Thank you. Um for finance and facilities, who wants to move it? You can take it. Okay. Finance and facilities has not met um both finance and facilities and policy and planning a meeting on January
0317th. January 7th. Okay. Perfect. Thank you so much. Um, anybody for any liazison reports? I got You do. Good. We last met uh joint recent rec committee met on September 30th. I've missed the last two meetings. So, Right. Okay. Fell in. Uh, we have a new rec director. His name is Daniel Hessie. Okay. They hired him just prior to that meeting. Uh, discussions were about speed program. Uh, which a couple of these things are going to be a little late and it's two months later. So, you know, A lot of it has been you must know about already. Um conversations about perhaps a girls high school uh volleyball players uh starting a program for uh volleyball players, younger volleyball players, uh which they don't have yet. Um and perhaps a fencing club for youngsters as
032well. Um also was mentioned in the meeting was lighting for lum. They still rolling on with that conversation trying to figure that out and Um there's way you sign up for activities used to be through community pass and there's going to be something new and different which is now I believe up and running. It's called civic wreck. Okay. Is going to be your new way to sign up for activities. Got it. And they're meeting right now over at the school library. So I'm here not there. And there you have it. Okay. would replace community pass for that called civic wreck. Civic wreck will replace community pass. If you went on to sign on to wherever you signed on before through the chat rec, you know the chat rec uh website, it would take you to
033civic wreck, which you'd probably have to put all your information there. Again, that would be my guess. I'm sure it just doesn't slide over for you. Okay, sounds good. Can I mention one thing? Yeah. Um, tomorrow night is the Play Unified ECLC Christmas party. Uh, and there are some Everyone should try to go. It's at the ECL ECLC facility. Um, there's a bunch of bands playing from our garage band club here at Chattam High School. Should be fun. Yeah. Cool. All right, Mike. When was that? Tomorrow. ACL. What time? I bet we can look that up. Starts at 7:45, I think. Great. Okay, great. And it's ugly sweater theme. 7:15. Oh, 7:15. Ugly sweater theme. Okay. All right. I have an update for CF. You do have an update? I do. Okay. So, CF currently
034has two fundraisers underway to support teachers and students. The first is the annual holiday teacher tribute. So families can honor their favorite teacher or staff member with a donation and CF will deliver a personalized card to them and a wrapped Hershey bar in their name. So it's a simple way to say thank you and support and to support creative classroom grants. Um the second is the annual giving campaign um which funds three new educator-led programs. The first one is called Dash Robots which will introduce coding and robotics to the district's youngest learners. The second is called Music for All, which will bring music to K to2 students in autism classrooms and the Cadam Symphony Day of Music, which connects grades 3 to 12 um with professional musicians. So, thanks so much. Awesome. Thank you. When
035will we start seeing the tributes come out? The the application? Um I'll just keep on might be live already. I'll look it up. Teacher tributes is live already. Thank you. Perfect. Okay. Um Okay. Moving on to I'd like to make a motion to move the minutes from the um November 3rd public and executive session and the November 12th public and executive session. Second. Thank you. On the November 3rd Miss Allen, Miss Mr. Dellesandro, and Miss Cherelli need to abstain. So, November 3rd minutes. Miss Ross, yes. Miss Allen, Mr. Delandro, abstain. Miss Peek, yes. Mr. Ryan, yes. Miss Weber, yes. Dr. Zang, yes. And Miss Cherelli, same. Uh, they pass 503 on 112. Ms. Allen and Dr. Zang need to abstain. 112 minutes. Miss Ross. Yes. M. Allen. Mr. Delandro. Miss Beck. Yes. Mr. Ryan. Yes.
036Dr. M. Weber. Dr. Zang. And yes. 62. Okay, perfect. Um, okay. This is going to be our first opportunity for public commentary. Um, hearing of the citizens during the public commentary section of the agenda is an opportunity for any member of the public to be heard about issues which are or are not topics scheduled for the current meeting. To help facilitate an orderly meeting and to permit all to be heard, speakers will be asked to limit their comments to a reasonable length of time. And if you could just sign in and tell us your name, that would be great. Good evening. My name is Amy Kerr. I'm a teacher at Milton Avenue School and I'm a CA building rep. Um, I'm just going to take a minute and highlight some of the many things that's
037happening at Milton Avenue. As we enter the winter season, our students are hard at work preparing for their upcoming music concerts. This year, our principal, Dr. Crawford, has partnered with the Cougar Cafe, who will come and sell baked goods and beverages at each performance. It's a new addition that we're excited to share with our community. Milton has also been busy giving back. In October, the Milton staff held a breast cancer awareness fundraiser and raised over $600 for the Susan G. Kman Foundation. In November, we honored our veterans by holding our annual remembrance walk and displayed photos of veterans connected to our Milton family. Our preschoolers created artwork for the color a smile organization. Our K through2 students wrote letters that were sent to veterans across New Jersey. Our staff also collected $145 for the GIO
038fund. In addition, our staff came together for a food drive supporting the Cadam UMC food pantry donating food for families in need. Our second graders even took a walking trip to the pantry, bringing their donations and learning firsthand how the program serves the community. We continue to strengthen connections across the district through our Bridges program, which brings middle school students together with our preschoolers. And this year, we're also thrilled to be partnering with the Chattam High School National Honor Society to provide tutoring for some Milton Avenue students who may benefit from extra academic support. Um, with all the wonderful things happening across the district, our buildings do continue to feel the impact of ongoing substitute shortages each day. Our main office teams work tirelessly to secure classroom coverage. They devote valuable time to piecing together
039solutions that keep instruction running smoothly. Our power professionals remain rock stars, stepping in wherever needed, and teachers continue to go above and beyond to support their colleagues and students. We're hopeful that the new year will bring additional qualified substitutes to help strengthen and support our students and sustain the important work happening throughout our schools. Um, we'd like to thank our PTO for their ongoing support and care for our staff and students. And to all of you on the board, thank you for your time and dedication to the staff and students of Chadam. We appreciate you and wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season. Thank you, Mrs. Kerr. Uh, good evening to all. Bill Heap. Um, I'm here tonight to pitch the JC Tree Sale. I just came from the tree lot and I
040think I'll probably get warm sometime tomorrow morning. Uh, we're doing our best to fight the scourge of artificial trees. Uh, artificial trees are a plot, a communist conspiracy to take over the living rooms and family rooms of America. Uh, well, maybe it's not that bad, but there's nothing like a real tree, and we have them. Uh, they are beautiful. We would appreciate it if everybody came down and at least took a look at one. Proceeds all go back into town. Uh, various organizations, including a scholarship at Chattam High School. So, um, please, we would, uh, love it if you came down and and, uh, and, uh, take a look at some of our trees. It's cold outside, so uh, whatever you do, don't take a long time making a decision. Thanks, and merry Christmas to
041everybody. Thanks, Bill. Thank you, Mr. Heap. Okay, I'm going to go ahead and close this portion of the public commentary. There will be another opportunity later in the meeting and we're going to move on to our regular agenda for personnel. Miss Weber. Yes. Thank you, Ann. I appreciate that. So, I'd like to move personnel action items A1 through A26. I'll second it. Fairly boiler plate. Boiler plate. No retirements. Um, this particular agenda does have the approval of the dean of students at the China Middle School, which we've talked about at length on we've added a whole another grade 25%. So, we just need additional support down there. So, that's on the agenda. I just want to highlight that. Agenda items A1 through A26. Miss Ross, yes. Miss Allen, yes. Mr. Delandro, yes. Miss Peek, yes.
042Mr. Yes. M. Weber. Yes. Dr. Zang. Yes. And Mr. Yes. Agenda items pass 8. Okay. Moving on to finance and facilities. Mr. Ryan. Yes. I'd like to move action items B1 to B1. Uh before we do that, I'd like to recognize a donation to Chattam High School um by the Blackboard Giving Fund. Uh, it's $1,000, 500 of which is donated by Smitha Rag Huier, excuse me if I mispronounced that. Uh, and a matching fund from Wells Fargo for $500 in that amount to be used for the robotics team. Thank you for that. Second. Before I get the second, I do have to have an uh an audible and add agenda item B12, which is the uh acceptance and approval of the board's audit and financial report. I concurred with John Fina before the meeting that
043the board once he did the report, the board could announce and and approve the report. So, we can do that rather than wait till uh January. So uh based on the recommendation of the superintendent, the board will approve the comprehensive finance audit report and the uh management report for the 2425 school year and give the uh the business administrator the approval to file the reports with the state and the municipal securities authority since we have outstanding debt.
