002statement is to engage and Empower our students to positively impact their community and Future thank you both do we have any public comments we do not I'm going to make sure we force us to have some where's Mr serma all right so he forfeited his time all right no public comments board updates any I just wanted to give a shout out to all of the music students who participated in the Merit band like ensembles bands jazz bands music groups they were fantastic this week and I know a lot of the students go in and put in a ton of time so congratulations to them and all of the uh instructors okay thank you thank you yeah um I wanted to say we had a pretty good meeting today just before the the board meeting about
003the new um Athletic Complex that's coming um want to Comm in Jason and his team they they did a really good job of putting information out there um just getting in taking in the ideas and thoughts from everybody but it looks like it's progressing pretty well and I thank everybody for especially your team for the hard work that you do thank you Dr H so you saying we're going to be ready to play our first football game next week um maybe the week after oh the week after okay next year next year all right thank you sure it was in the F FYI but um last Friday I met with Jason and Cara you know last month I had a question about some of the expenses that over budget and we talked a little bit
004about that one of the actions that Jason and Brian took was to they were able to move some of the expenses that July and AUST back into the prior fiscal year in a way such that we'll still meet our financial recognition score um and then that'll take some of those expenses out so help us meet a financial recognition score for this coming year but really it's still just moving a cash I mean it's still a cash expenditure you know you're just kind moving out of one bucket into the other so it's still something that we as a board and the administration need to keep an eye on our expenses excellent really really good eyes on that appreciate nelon yes well great great keeping your eyes and and we definitely will miss you with those eyes
005on our finance so if you would like to stay around a little longer just please let me know okay okay thank you we'll all right all right all right so any other board updates I just want to thank board members for and and the superintendent for going out and engaging with the principls we met I I was there I did a kind of a hot handoff to to board member J Janine and and Alex because we didn't want three board members kind of coming together at one time so but all of us had a chance to meet with the high school principal today uh as well as our superintendent so she always have the coffee fresh bringing to us to have our coffee with the various principles so just's keep it going appreciate it thank
