002do have one public comment thank you Madam Secretary and that is from our cmea president Mary brag regarding holidays good evening ladies and gentlemen on behalf of the Creon Education Association we want to thank you the board members for all of your hard work and diligence on working with us collaboratively to help make this school district great for our students and staff we want to thank the administration for all of your hard work and meeting with us and hearing our voices and we want to wish you all a safe happy and healthy holiday season stay warm on these cold days and stay cool on the hot days thank you thank you thank you all righty no further public comments do we have any board updates if not one quick one from me that I did
003attend on Sunday the South land event that was given by I think Rich Township and you know a portion of our school district is in the County of Cook and University Park represented that part of Cook County for our school district and they requested that the school board which is they consider us a family we consider them a family have a representative there so I was able to attend that event well well represented it a lot of dignitaries the kids were so happy a lot of toys was given out and some other things to the needy families so very well put together event kudos to all that was involved with that any other updates if not we're going to go I just want to say that uh the high school ran a really um good
004showcase this Saturday make sure I said showcase because showcase basketball showcase this Saturday um past Saturday um it was a lot of teams from the area really good competition so um it just seems to get better and better so excellent excellent yeah we have a lot of things going on a lot of good things going on in the district with our athletes and so many other areas that our kids participate in as well as all the whole staff and employees all right next up administrative updates by our superintendent good news thank you Mr Brown um we are so pleased tonight uh as you can see we have a lot of uh people here to support our four athletes that uh went well and Beyond um excellence and tonight we've got Mr John keki uh he's
005going to introduce um our young men share a little bit of information about them and share their successes with us tonight uh thank you uh Dr koganes and the Board of Education uh for allowing me to come here today uh to speak about outstanding achievements of four of our student athletes from CRE Roy High School uh just a brief history the ihsa started State Series in 1974 uh and they've been running a state series ever since we've obviously had uh lot of success most recently uh in a number of our Sports and 2019 we were the uh boys state championship overall uh in addition tonight we'll be honoring a relay team that's the second I'm sorry the third male rela team uh that's actually won a state championship uh since uh our competition in the
006state series um I just have to say this uh what they did during that season was nothing short of amazing and the effort that they put forth was nothing short of amazing and it's a testament to obviously who they are and the support of their families that they were able to attain a gold medal uh so what we're going to do here is bring each of the individuals up including coach warts who was the coach at the time uh and we're going to present the picture uh as well as the ring from the state championship series so without further Ado I'll call each of the individual student athletes up I'll present them with the ring as well as the picture and at the end here uh if moms and dads want to get a picture
007with that we can go right ahead and take care of it so uh Mr lonel [Applause] bips uh Mr Edward [Applause] Clark picture you no I said the yeah sorry stay up here uh for all the student athletes who are receiving Rings I'd like you to stay up here put the rings on and then you can give the box to your family members uh Joshua Franklin and then uh George [Applause] safo then last but not least and I it's a fun fact uh Bronco nersi actually has the largest ring uh in the NFL all of Fame I think this one is going to give it a second run for the money uh and Coach uh Patrick wz here you go Pat uh i' ask right now that if we have family members we' take really
008uh real quick actually if you guys could stand as a relay team and I don't necessarily need to be in this picture all right let's go in the order right so we G have a couple pictures let me help I do this I do pictures on the side do me briefly take a picture it's okay to smile in these pictures too all right the is so cute Grand great and once again congratulations gentlemen fantastic job [Applause] uh before I leave uh one other note Dr koganes in front of Dr koganes we started uh Middle School boys baseball uh this year and uh in front of Dr KGAN is a game ball from our very first uh Victory and that go on display uh Dr kogan's office or somewhere in district office but we wanted to
009go ahead and give that to you and obviously express our thanks uh for allowing us to continue on with the addition of programs and that was a a fantastic program that we ran in the fall so thanks very much thank you great as always we want to thank again our student athletes for all their their work their Excellence families it's because of you that you are here to support them all those late nights those pickups those games endless hours is a family commitment you're there to support your students and it pays off so thank Youk you you coach thank you and thank your wife for all those uh nights as well you get accolades too we also want to thank our boosters tonight they provided a beautiful cake and water for all of our families
010and um just made it extra special so we want to make sure we thank them so anyway have a great night everybody you deserve it and have happy holiday yeah yeah well you know they leaving but it makes me proud to see at least three or four of those kids was up there was in my youth program when they was five or six years old yeah and to see them progress through the ranks that that says a lot wow I didn't recogniz a couple of them I know a little bit Yeah the boys change and they're men from Little Boys to Men well they couldn't remember what order they were in they were just running so fast it didn't matter I know I know good job and thank you sure I didn't get it in
