And the next part is to appoint a high school representative. and I'm going to appoint myself um to stay with us for at least one more year. We're making good progress at the high school. Anybody else want to be considered? Just out of curiosity. Okay, with that being said, I'm appointing myself. Dr. McCartney, we have no need to go into executive session bypass that. At this point

in time, we have to uh adopt the New Jersey code of ethics. What I'd like to do is have each member, starting with me going to my right, then going to my left, read each one of these, okay? So the audience knows what we're adopting. So Roman number 4A, I'll start off. I will uphold and enforce all laws, state board rules and regulations and court orders pertaining to schools. Desired changes should be brought about only through legal and ethical procedures. Mr. go next. >> I will make decisions in terms of the educational welfare of children and will seek to develop and maintain public schools which meet the individual needs of all children regardless of their ability, race, creed, sex or social standing. >> Okay. 012policym planning and appraisal. I will help to frame policies and plans only after the board has consulted with those who will be affected by them. Okay, we're up to D. Mrs. Reese, >> I will carry out my responsibility not to administer the schools but together with my fellow board members to see that they are wellrun. >> Mr. I recognize that authority rests in the board of education and will make no personal promises nor take any private action which may compromise the board. I will refer all complaints to the chief administrative officer. They will act on such complaints at public meetings only after failure of an administrative solution. May I have a motion to adopt the New Jersey code of ethics? Mrs. Wolf seconded by Mrs. Kiny. >> All in favor? Any opposed or abstensions >> at this time? Board comments on

agenda as per by 0167. Any comments from the audience? >> Okay, >> Dr. Seiko, I think this is the only public comment section listed. So, um it might be an opportunity to allow for any type of public comment. >> Yeah, it could be doesn't have to be uh on the agenda. Okay. Thank you. Congratulations. Um I'm uh Tina House Connectry Francis Court. I just want to say congratulations to the board. Great job for reorganizing. Um real super quick on the agenda that's pushed out to the public the location of the um board meeting continuously says the media center. So I keep going to that door. Um so that it's like super silly, but if that could just be changed. I know on the agenda itself it's here, but for that for everything that goes out

to the public it's on it's incorrect. So just a little quick change. Thank you and good luck. >> Okay, board business. Um, does this go to you, Bernie? >> Uh, it's a it's a board motion. >> Okay, we have a motion to approve board business Roman numeral six in its entirety. >> I see Mrs. Le seconded by Mr. Any questions? >> Actually, I do have a question, but I don't see it's not on the specific agenda, but um the school the adopt the adjusted school calendar >> um coming up. >> Okay, >> I'll wait till then. >> Sorry. local or uh voice vote. All in favor? >> Any opposed or abstensions? >> Seeing none, motion carried. >> At this time, we have the administrative report by Dr. >> Uh we have two items uh for

action here. The first is the adoption approval of our student safety data system uh report for period one. This is a requirement uh that we have to do each um reporting period. Uh as a point of reference, this was related to any of the incidents uh such as uh HIV related uh areas. Um this year we had a total of at this point for the period one total of three incidents, one HIV alleged and we have a total of 17 HIV programs in trying to support uh positive decisions. As a comparison to this, last year as I said we had three incidents up to this point this period last year we had nine. This year we have one HIV alleged. Last year at this time we had 10. So um we've seen an improvement in

those numbers. The second point of uh for action items is to approve the updated 2025 2026 school year school calendar. Uh what this does is pro it as a early dismissal date for March 13 uh for the purpose of professional development to work with teachers um that afternoon in March. And so that would be the only change at this point. Should the changes come again with snow or anything along those lines that >> any questions? So I did. So is graduation tenatively scheduled for the last the last day of school which is on a Friday the 24th. >> No, I don't. >> No. As well I guess we'd have to depend on what happens with the snow days, but as of right now the last day of school is the 24th of June, which is

a Wednesday. Okay. >> And so that would be um like I'm assume like the 23rd when we have the graduation >> which is a Tuesday. >> Any other questions? >> Uh for entrepreneurial starting in February our board meetings will be on Tuesday instead of Mondays. Starting in February board meetings will be held on Tuesdays. We have conflict with a couple free hall. So this way we take turns. Okay. I have motion to approve the administrative report in its entirety. I see seconded by >> all in favor. >> Any opposed or abstensions? Seeing none, motion carried. >> Operations. Um, we have Mrs. Mina's name here. She's going to walk with us, but may have a motion to approve operations in its entirety. Are there any questions? First call on any of those action items. >> We

need to have the motion and second first. I'll make the motion. >> Motion. We have Kathy second. >> Any questions on any of those action items? >> If not, may have uh >> this is a roll. Okay. >> Uh Mr. Carter, >> yes. >> Mr. Cigarella, >> yes. >> Mrs. Kinsey, >> Mr. Wowski, >> yes. >> Mrs. Reese, >> yes. >> Mrs. Wineoff, >> yes. >> Mr. Chantino, >> yes. >> Mrs. Streamos. >> Yes. >> Dr. Seo. >> Yes. >> Uh before we go to work and dates, I have a message from Mr. Dutero from upper wheel. He would like me to convey to everybody happy new year. And he has a couple things he asked me to say. His reorganization is tomorrow, January 6th. Uh second, this is important. Anybody has kids in the

high school first semester ends at the end of January. Alltown High School first semester ends at the end of January. Next comment. All high school academic team won the biotech bowl out of 36 teams from Mammoth County High School. Our high school, Alltown High School took first place. That's a great accomplishment. Four out high school athletics teams are doing well. I'm glad he me mentioned wrestling. My grandkids are there. Uh wrestling started off very strong. Boys basketball just won their holiday tournament in Neptune. And finally again he repeats happy new year to the entire Billboard of Education and community from the upper freehole regional school district. Mark when I go to his board meeting I'll say for us to him. We have no worthy date. January 19, 2026. The district is closed. And if I

may say before we adjourn, January 13th is very, very important. It's the third session of the strategic plan. The strategic plan drives the budget. If I have a few minutes of your time, I'd like to read something that I researched. And a public school strategic plan drives the budget by creating a financial roadmap that aligns funding with long-term goals, shifting from just funding activities to funded outcomes, ensuring resources support instructional priorities like literacy or STEM and making funding flexible and data driven to meet specific student needs and achieve measurable academic improvements. Essentially, the plan defines what the district and the district is the community. What the district wants to achieve and the budget becomes how they'll pay for it. Making every dollar purposeful. How to strategic plan influences budget decisions, goal setting and prioritization. And

Dr. McCartney is doing a great job on that. resource alignment, data-driven decisions, building a budget story, flexible and equity, long-term vision. Remember, if you're concerned about the budget, get involved in a strategic plan by linking the budget directly to the strategic plan. Districts ensure financial resources are a powerful tool for achieving their educational mission, not just an administrative necessity. So, I implore everybody in the community, okay? Please come January 13. Those of you that did come, bring a friend. We had 31 people. Everybody brings a friend if I math correctly. 62. Bring two friends. What would that be? 93. Should I keep going or Okay, we're good. At this point in time, you have a motion to adjourn. >> Is that meeting start at 7 o'clock? >> 7 o'clock. >> Where? Uh, it's in the

well, we had it in the media center, but if everybody brings somebody, we're going to have to move it over here. So, hopefully we come over here. So, it may say media, but you may end up over here. I think um I'm guessing we should have about 70 people. That's my prediction. See if I'm right, wrong. I've never hit the lottery, so I don't know how big the condition will be, but I'm predicting 70. Okay. >> Say something for the public comment, sir. You missed the public comments, so I got to consult my attorneys, but I'm just on the same date. Uh, there's been a lot of issues with school this quarter. People were asking about the roundabout that's coming in and we want to do the microphone so everybody can hear this. I don't

think there's a mic. >> Just want to congratulate everybody. Happy holidays. Happy New Year to everybody and let it be prosperous for all of us. Happy and healthy. With that said, January 13th to I believe seven at Wagon Park. There's been a lot of talk about uh Scooters Corner and when the roundabout is coming in and people have all kinds of questions. So, I wrote a letter to New Jersey to Department of Transportation to the county and they're going to be doing an on-site presentation for the residents to ask any and all questions on that day from 4 to 7. So, if you'd like to know anything about the roundabout, when it's commencing, they've already electrical uh lines and anything else that you want to know about it, safety of the residents, please come to

that meeting as well, and we can come right from 5:00 block right to here. So, that'll help you with your attendance to your uh workshop. I don't anybody else get a motion to adjurnn. Seconded by Ron. Thank everybody.
