Because of the timeline and the holidays, we have to swear them in at this point. So, but once again, congratulations. >> Thank you. Welcome. >> Thank you. >> Okay. And then now it looks like we have a performance. >> We are the chamber choir high school. We have do have a moment members that are ill today but uh otherwise the majority is here. Um I have with me I have Mr. Golden who is going to accompany him. He's going to also direct. And then we have Seth Fald our other assistant director. So we are excited to perform for you guys. You

are our last performance for the season. >> So, we are excited about that, but we're also excited to perform for you because this is one of our joys to be at and get to be in the faces of folks. I'm so sorry if it's a little, but we're going to I hope you enjoy it being that close. But this is a little taste of what we had the other night. Um, Miss Ruff and Mr. Brady were at our concert the other night, and we greatly appreciate you coming and joining us. Um, it was a joy. It was really good. Um, lots of music. So, we're going to give you a little taste of three songs. The first one is going to be go Mary gentlemen. It is a little bit of a jazz version that

they're going to direct themselves basically. The next one is in the bleak mid winter which I will direct that. And then the final one we're going to do is also a little bit of a jazz version of go tell it on the mountain building. So at this time the students are going to themselves on Christmas potential. Angel night angel came. She said Garden of Central. It's nice to have fun doing this with you guys and have that laughter and still entertain. Thank you all very much. It's beautiful. Glory. Glory to God. Sorry. Go tell Jesus the Christ is Home of Jesus Christ is bornus is born on the mountain. I am on the mountain. Show me the way. Jesus Christ is the Christ. Jesus Christ. We really do appreciate the support and I hope you

have a wonderful Christmas. >> Thank you guys. >> Awesome. Thanks. >> Put you right in the spirit, doesn't it? >> Yes, it does. >> That really hard these days, but exactly. >> That'll do. >> Is your goosebumps? >> Yeah. You get your one. I think it's >> all right. Well, after that wonderful performance, we'll move down to our consent agenda. Entertain a motion. >> I move to approve the consent agenda. >> Second. I have a motion by Miss Osborne, a second by uh Mr. Martin. All in favor? >> I oppose. Motion carries. Okay. Now we'll move down to superintendent report. >> I'd like to invite Sarah Williams. I don't know if you brought a number to perform tonight or >> call something amazing. You cannot I mean that's Mariah trying to figure out who is

saying what at what time. For me, the shower shuts off when I sing. So I It's bad. Um, but good evening. Um, president, superintendent, board members. Um, just have a couple things, a couple updates. So, uh, the school districts, you guys had a ton of Christmas cards from us this year for our deployed members. We were able to send over 3,000 cards down range to the deployed guys, which is really cool because not a lot of the branches do it. So, our members from the Air Force get to share it with their army members and things like that. So, it's really cool. Um, so they get a box full of them and they kind of just pass them out to everybody that's there. So, it's pretty nice. >> Um, and then the cookies for the

airmen, um, we were able to donate from all of the school districts, 99 dozen to help with what they had. So, that's huge this year. Um, I think I drove over 400 miles between both days collecting cards and collecting cookies. So, it was a lot of fun and we're excited about that. Um, and then I met with Mr. Jones on redoing our kudos and our field trips. And unfortunately, we're waiting to see if we're shut down again in January. So, um, if that happens, I will not be gone anymore. I'm Chanel. Thank you very much. Um, so I will not be going anywhere, but we have to wait to find out if we're going to be shut down or not before we can reschedule anything. We don't want to schedule it and then have to

cancel it again. Um, so I would predict sometime in the spring, March, April time frame we'll be able to get things done. That's all I have. >> Thank you. Thank you. >> And next, I'd like to invite our students from the high school. Thanks for being here. >> Good evening board members. My name is Aana Baka and I'm the student body representative for the high school student. >> Good evening. My name is Julie and I'm the student for our city council. We weren't able to come last month for the November meeting. So to recap, we had our trunk or treat on October 30th. Our trunk was decorated as Shrek. And although we didn't have much candy, it was very fun to see all the little kids in their costumes and playing the games by or

other organizations. This last week we hosted a RCA house pep rally um which was a complete day. We had many kittens such as the hungry hungry hippo which consisted of students laying on their stomachs on the elementary scooters and then another student pushing by their feet and then they had to collect as many tennis balls in buckets as possible. We gathered house points by that. Um, and then our second game was a boxing game. The students had to stack seven boxes with numbers on them in order in order to get a house point. And our last game was a piping contest. Um, that we called Santa's beard. We had little Oreos inside of them and the concept of the game was to find the Oreos. Overall, the house that won the most games was Altruism.

should have been so windy. But we also participated in the annual for candy drive. We were able to give them 59 dozen cookies. So if you have any questions and >> sounds like we're busy. >> Yeah, sounds like real busy. >> Also planning for state. So our state will be in February from the 12th to the 14th. So we are planning for our scrapbook, our banner and thank you for your time. >> Thank you guys. >> Okay, now we'll move down to uh employee services. >> Board members, um I've got six board policies to um for consideration. I don't know if you want to take them individually. >> I think we it'd be a good idea to take take them individually. >> So the first one we have is board policy A0750. It is the

new drug and alcohol tobacco nicotine free schools. You can see that I'm assuming you guys probably been struck struck out and then had it. >> Are there any questions? >> There aren't any questions. that entertain a motion. >> I'll make a motion to approve. >> Motion by Mr. Hamilton, second by Miss Edward. All in favor? >> I. >> Motion carries. Okay. >> Thank you. Number two is board policy G100. And actually this is consideration to remove this policy because the one that you just approved actually um takes the place of that. >> Okay. >> Make a motion to approve. >> Yeah. Have a motion by Miss Edber. >> I'll second. >> Second by Miss Osborne. All in favor? I motion carries. >> Number three is board policy G9400. It is um some additions to the

retirey return to work policy and some strikethroughs as well. >> I move to approve board policy G9400 retirey return to work. >> I'll second. I have a motion by Miss Osborne, a second by Mr. Hamilton. All in favor? >> I oppose. Motion carries. Okay. >> Number four is for policy J2300. It is about student conduct. Um it's just a few words. Um and it pertains back to that nicotine policy that you guys approved at the beginning. It just changes some of the language so that it matches the first one that you approved. >> Make a motion to approve. >> Okay. I have a motion by Miss Ed. Second. >> Second by Mr. Martin. All in favor? I oppose. Motion carries. >> Thank you. Number five is board policy J3000 is the tobacco used by students

smoking. And this is actually a removal um because the one that you just approved plus the previous one um the drug alcohol tobacco for the number one that you guys did. We need to remove this one. >> I move to uh approve removal of board policy J 5350. I'll I'll second >> motion by Miss Osborne, a second by Mr. Hamilton. All in favoring J300. >> Correct. >> Yes. >> J3000. I'm sorry I didn't J 3000. >> Okay. A motion by Mr. Osborne, second by Mr. Hamilton. Yes, sir. All in favor? >> I. >> Motion carries. >> And last we have work policy J 5350. And um it is the addition to uh or actually the strike through of tobacco use by students at the end of the policy um because um you guys approved the

feud ahead of it. So it's just taking the job. >> I'll make a motion to approve. Motion by Mr. Hamilton. >> Second. >> Sec. All in favor? >> I oppose. Motion carries. Um, I'm going to move on to the open positions report and I wanted to visit with you for just a second about what you're seeing there in front of you. Um, I'd like to provide an update and share several important staffing updates since you guys received this report in your board packet. Um, since that time, we're pleased to report that multiple positions have been filled on top of these, including an industrial arts teacher at the high school, fifth grade teacher, arts academy, and a behavior assistant, um, and one nurse. Um, strengthening both instructional and student support services across the district. In addition,

we no longer have the need for two special educational assistants positions at the elementary level due to the continued success of multiple students through the fall semester. And so, um, are growing and so there's not any room for those two students. So, as a result of these updates, we currently have nine teaching openings and 28 additional staff openings for a total of 37 open positions districtwide. This equates to 97% of current staffing rate, which is one of the strongest staffing positions we've seen in many, many years. One of the most encouraging aspects of this report is that there are the lowest vacancy numbers that CMS has experienced in over a decade. I strongly believe this progress is largely due to our intentional and sustained investment in building an education student, a CMS fellow, teacher residency,

and then a certified teacher pipeline right here within our own Clovis community. This pipeline allows us to identify future educators early, support them through multiple entry points into the profession and retain individuals who already understand our students, our culture, and our expectations. The result has been improved stability, stronger retention, and more predictable staffing outlook year overyear. We're also excited to share that we're adding an additional layer to this pipeline through a new partnership with Eastern New Mexico University which is titled the principal residency program. This program allows highly effective lead teachers to serve as administrative interns for one year while remaining on a level three teacher pay and gaining world experience necessary to transition into school leadership roles within schools. We currently have two principal residents and they'll be joining us at our January meeting

to share directly with you guys about their experiences and the impact this program is already having on the district. We have one that is at at Park View, her name is Emily Clark, and another one that is at Gatis Middle School, that's Da Kirk, and they both are doing beautifully. And we actually met with Eastern this week and got an update on their progress through this first semester. And they're eager and they even they were ready to be administrators before which is awesome. So that is all in the open positions report. I stand for any questions if you guys have any on >> any questions for the board. I sure have a comment that >> you know we hear the things that you're saying but sometimes the full impact of it >> we don't understand

but this is clearly the evidence of all the hard work that you guys have been doing as you say at every level to not only just hire them but then support them when they get here and so you know and I'm excited to hear that they don't want to leave us when they're offered positions out in the district. So >> congratulations. >> Thank you. We we talk a lot about building our And um it's really important that um our teachers that we have that are leaders feel supported and because not all of us are going to be here for ever and ever. And so we need to be sure that the district is in good and capable hands when the time comes for us. So >> yeah, well you guys have done a good job.

Thank you. >> Thank you. Um now I have the discussion of the Los Nino Child Development Center. Um I have a presentation for you guys. did include a um handout in your packet but thought it might be helpful if people could see some um graphics to go with it. So this evening I'd like to provide an update on the potential reopening of the Los Ninos as a school municipal schools child development center. This initiative has been meticulously examined over the past few months through collaboration among various district departments and in close partnership with the New Mexico early childhood education and care department which is called the ECECD. So you may see the acronym throughout this presentation. Our efforts are centered on one primary objective which is to support CMS staff, enhance our workforce and increase

access to early childhood education in Clovis. Los Ninos is a CMS owned facility located at 3001 North Thornton and it was originally intended for early childhood programming. CMS is considering the reopening of this site as a highquality CMS operated child development center dedicated to serving district employees. This initiative has included collaboration among various departments such as employee services, finance, operations and facilities, student nutrition and special services and school leadership ensuring a comprehensive and responsible approach to this endeavor. From the beginning, we've also engaged directly with the ECECD regional and state leadership to guarantee alignment with state priorities and licensing requirements. Clovis is currently facing a significant shortage of child care options. All license pro all licensed providers are at capacity leading to long waiting list in Clovis portalis in the canon CDC. At present we

have over 30 CMS employees that are either pregnant on maternity leave or preparing for leave with many others struggling with childcare instability. Just two weeks ago, we were unable to hire a speech language pathologist because she could not secure child care for her young infant. The scarcity of dependable child care has a direct impact and effect on attendance, retention, and the ability of employees to return to work or accept new positions. Establishing a fully operational Clovis Municipal School Center would create 96 private child care slots benefiting not only the district families but also the wider Clovis workforce. Um I've included the current layout of Los Ninos if you're not familiar with the building. Um it is next to Barry Steam Academy on Thorton. It has eight classrooms. We're looking at opening six classrooms, which I

will get into later, but you'll notice on the bottom lefthand corner. Um, we're going to turn one of those if Okay. We're going to turn one of those classrooms into a cafeteria. Um, and Miss Westbrook and her team has already come out and checked it out and they're going to be transporting the food over from Barry Elementary daily. And then you can see next door um to that classroom is an indoor play space. We'd like to create a space where our youngest little ones can be inside and playing on playmats and um and not necessarily outside if the weather, you know, is not permitting. So um that will leave six other classrooms for three different age groups. This initiative claim aims to accommodate 96 children including those aged 1 to three years across six fully

licensed classrooms. The center will operate year round and provide fullday services aligning with employees work schedules. Programming will adhere to the ECECD early learning standards featuring developmentally appropriate play-based instruction alongside robust family engagement practices. Additionally, CMS Student Nutrition has pledged to offer breakfast, as I stated, breakfast, lunch, and snacks at no cost with meals prepared at Barry Steam Academy and delivered daily. Probably the biggest most um major benefit of this project is that and the advantage of this initiative is that the child care will be provided at no cost for CMS employees. And as the mother who had children, backtoback care at the NASA, the idea of no cost um child care, high quality child care is um an extreme benefit to our district. This opportunity is made possible through New Mexico's universal ch child

care program, which is managed by the ECPC. Since CMS employees meet the eligibility criteria, there will be no tuition fees for financial barriers for participation. This strategy actively fosters employee retention, recruitment, and overall workforce stability across all job categories. Parents will need to supply diapers and clothing and a few school supplies and formula if required, but everything else will be provided. So we did a preliminary financial overview and initial financial modeling suggest that a startup reserve of around $350,000 which will cover salaries and supplies during the first few months of operation. This model forecast a break even point in approximately 12 months and it anticipates an operational surplus of about $30,000 per month starting in December of 2026. By mid 2027, all revenue will transform into a continuous operational profit for the district. A key

requirement highlighted by this analysis is that all six classrooms must be operational from day one. A phased opening would not yield enough revenue to support ongoing operations. The Los Nino's facility was initially designed for early childhood use as well and is well prepared for reopening. A team of four ECECD regulatory staff toured the premises already providing highly supportive feedback. Approximately one-third of the interior painting is already finished and I actually went over there today and I think it's toward like 75%. and CMS has um acquired enough furniture to fully equip the center, including cafeteria supplies. ECED noted only minor adjustments needed for the playground and requested documentation concerning the skylight style transom windows inside the building. And significantly, ECED pointed out that the skylights typically exceed natural lighting requirements, making clients likely with minimal changes.

CMS has garnered enthusiastic and prompt support from ECECD with direct involvement from both regional supervisors and hover management. CMS has been prioritized for regulatory guidance and has received an initial courtesy memo detailing the next steps. They may also we may also apply for focus standards which while operating under a provisional license. Recent regulatory updates have eliminated licensing application fees, further lowering lowering startup cost. So you can see from that um the red and green line where we would start out. We'd have to have um some startup cost, but then you can see where it flips over in December um which is when we would move from a twostar plus to a fivestar facility. um you do have to have a 90-day waiting period before you can move to a five-star um facility, but once you

move to that five-star, the amount of money that you receive back per child is substantially larger. And so at that point um we will be taking in more than we will be um needing. And so over about 17 18 months we'll break even and then anything after that will be profit. To ensure safe operations and full compliance the center will require a total of 22 employees. The staffing includes leadership, which we are looking at either director or principal, some kind of leadership position with the secretary, one nurse, one custodian, six credentialed NMPEED early childhood teachers, and 13 educational assistants. All teachers would be placed on the current CMS salary scale and must possess the necessary birth through third license credentials, promoting fairness and maintaining instructional quality. Moreover, the center will act as a practicum site,

which I'm really excited about, will act as a practicum site for early childhood students from Clovis High School from our educator rising program. We have four classrooms that are actually in the back that are portables. And um we can have edrising classes in there from the high school. And we can also host um closed community college and enhance our future workforce pipeline by allowing some certification classes to occur on site with them working with our children on site as well. If the district proceeds the proposed timeline is outlined as follows. In January, we would like to start licensing and a district-wide interest survey. Um, we did do an intra survey about two years ago and at that time it was filled to the max and everyone wanted to be a part of it and is

super excited about it and then you know things happen and we had it put it on the back burner for a minute. We suspect that this will be the same when we put out this interest survey, especially when you have the no cost and the benefit of having licensed teachers um and not, you know, um daycare workers that just have a certification. We're talking licensed MPED teachers. In the spring and summer of 26, we would like to start staffing with the leadership positions and the um secretarial staff and then onboarding and then of course getting all the facilities ready. Everything is already um outfitted for littles. Um all the toilets are small, all the sinks are small, everything is small if you ever been to Los and the playground's in perfect condition. We just need

to put a few um things what are they called? Like the noodles around the poles of the swings so they don't run into them and if they do then they don't hurt themselves. Um but other than that everything is um in supreme condition. In the long run this initiative aims to benefit Clovis employees by enhancing retention, expanding access to early childhood education and building workforce capacity and establishing a sustainable revenue generating model for the district. This presents a remark remarkable opportunity to invest in our people while fortifying the Clovis community for the future. So, I want to clarify this evening that we're not seek we're not seeking final approval to open the center and this presentation just aims to keep you guys updated and as we engage in exploratory planning um and how we um

enhance our collaboration with the EWC engage employee interest so that we can return if appropriate with comprehensive operational and financial recommendation. On a personal note, I want to express that this project has been on my mind for decades. Um, throughout my career in education and HR, I've witnessed how access to child care or lack thereof directly impacts families, employees, and ultimately students. It is incredibly exciting to see this longheld vision potentially becoming a reality for our community and I see very few drawbacks and immense potential benefits for our CMS families as well as the overall well-being of our workforce especially for those employees balancing their professional duties with one of the most important roles which is being a parent. I hope you share the enthusiasm with these possibilities and I look forward to answering any

questions you may have. Are there any questions for >> Is it we going to make it exclusively for CMS employees? Yes, >> sir. We would start with um CMS employees. We're looking at a 7030 model, which means um 70% of the um spaces would be held for instructional staff, meaning teachers and um educational assistants with 30% being held for our support staff. >> Okay. Um if we need to adjust those, we certainly can. And if for some reason um we can't fill up with all of our own employees children, then we could open it up to the greater public to get it full. >> Okay. >> I don't know that that will be necessary, but >> probably not. >> Um but we're looking at two classrooms per age group. We are looking at two classrooms

for the 12 to 23 month, two classrooms from 24 to 35 month and then 36 month to maybe 48 month. We're looking at having a prek teacher on site so that they don't have to travel back and forth to Lockwood that it would just be on site and they would do a morning afternoon swap model with those fours. >> I had a question. Oh, go ahead. >> No, go ahead. Go ahead. >> The the three going to be fours. So we don't want them to be at Lockwood. It's going to be a better model for for them to be at >> we would have the same we would have the same standards of a fourth grade or a fouryear-old classroom right >> at the facility. >> So there would be no need to transport them

>> because the um teachers would be same credential. They have the same standards. They have all the same everything which is why we're looking um a leader that can you know help us bridge that gap so that there isn't any um no one slips through the cracks by not traveling to walk with it's fantastic and the fact that you're going to have uh fully licensed certified teachers is amazing that will be people have asked I thought you guys were going to do something with laser so I'm so excited Mandy making it happen. >> Mandy took a field trip to observe a facility in Santa Fe and really got a lot of inspiration from that visit. Um, and this was in our facility master plan and that's why it's not listed as a consideration item because

it was kind of approved in that umbrella. We can certainly bring it back as a separate approval item. Mr. Porter, we can talk about that if you want it to to to come back separate from its inclusion already in the facility master plan. But >> well, I'm just excited that we're we're going to use that building. It's already set up for the kids and, you know, it' be a >> in such an awesome way, you know, >> right, to help our our employees, you know. We've kind of waited to have the conversation with our staff until having this conversation with you guys. So, I expect the phone to begin ringing might soon if it hasn't already exciting stuff. >> Well, the growth with staff, too, is pretty awesome. >> Yeah. >> That's huge. >> Anything

else? >> No, ma'am. But I don't feel good. >> Thank you. Thank you, Mandy. Okay. Uh, financial matters. Miss Miss Heather. >> Good evening, President Cordova, members of board. The first item I have is a request for the board to consider authorizing the district to go out for sale bids for marching band props. These props consist of 18 rotating trim tracks with faces that are no longer being used by the marching band and just to get approval to remove them from our district. Any questions? >> Anybody have any questions? >> Motion to approve. >> Motion by Mr. Hamilton. That's my second by Mr. Edward. All in favor? >> I oppose. Motion carries. >> The next item I have is the request to approve the disposal and removal of the district inventory of broken, worn out,

and nonreable and also we stand for any questions. >> Any questions for the board? >> No sir. >> If not, I'll entertain a motion. >> I'll make a motion to approve. >> Second. >> Have a motion by Mr. Edber, second by Mr. Martin. All in favor? I oppose. Motion carries. Thank you. >> Thank you, ma'am. >> Mr. Brady. >> Good evening, President Cordova, members of the board, Superintendent Russ. I'd like to ask Lauren Hill to come up. He's our senior director of operations and uh update you. As you can see, lots of things are going on with our facilities plan, and it's important that you understand where we are currently uh progressing through that. So Mr. Hill members you intended for us feel a little silly after going behind Mrs. Carpenter because I don't have

all the cool tended so it down master planed uh spring 2024 276 pages with all the information with it five pages today. So hopefully it gets you a good gist of what we're doing. We've done some heavy lifting the last two years high school loss cameo. And now we're getting into some of the other priority one and priority two projects. Say that priority one is the likelihood of it failing and the impact upon students. And then moving down the list, but hopefully make a little bit more sense for you as you go through the packet. The uh the number on the left hand side, you see it goes from five to seven. That truly is on purpose. Goes with the uh the chart on the last page. Those are the recommendations that were adopted by

the facility master planning committee. So some things to bring up that we we don't always talk about and that is PSFA public schools facilities authority and the way they operate currently in order to get a standard space of the whole school replaced or remodeled. You have to be in the top 100 depending on how the money works each year. That can be top 150 which it's been over the years. It's currently top 100, which is why we're moving up Clovis High School. FMP asked for us to in the next cycle after 2029 to work on Clovis High School. The problem is we're currently 100. And we've done a good job in my opinion of taking care of our buildings, which changes our rank. So, the better, right? We brag about being number two in the

state, but that moves us down the list. The odd thing to say is if you fix the high school up too much, then we're going to be off the list and we can't remodel that. Now, systems base is currently top 300. That was top three. And so, that knocked us out some of those projects as well. That's a sliding scale. We do a good job on our part. Other schools sometimes don't do a good job or their buildings begin to age out. That affects our rankings from none of our doing. So, that's important to to remember. The application window has always has changed dramatically. It used to be an open window the last few years and now it's twice per year. So ask the state for their share of the line which currently is a

0446436 split looks a lot different. certainly understand why PSC public schools capital outlay council and PSFA change does a whole lot of work but on our side really changes things about community to funding as you've probably seen some projects mostly booing due to the hail damage in May of 2023 probably seen some kettles around and some issues that that project those projects have been very very difficult to it's very long process insurance. So, high school, we had a great meeting with PSFA after the bond last month. Excited about where we're headed. They were very pleased with our plan. They'll be on an on-site visit in January to discuss that project any further. Have you stand any questions? >> Any questions from the board? >> Why? um confused. I'm just gonna say >> so >> it's

a moving target, right? It's a >> So if we invest too much in the high school, it's to our detriment. That is a hard place to be. >> That is an extremely hard place to be. And and Mr. Brady and I have have committed to do a project. Let's do it right. Cost a little more, >> but we don't want to to short change something that's going to hurt us in the long run. >> Correct. But the reality is it it does hurt you. >> But because we've done such a good job, I'd like to remind the board that we have a 70 year old high school which aged out >> 20 years ago. And so >> we are good stewards of the money and we do take our responsibility very seriously in ensuring that

we have the facilities that maintain the high levels of support needed for quality education. I want to add just because we're good. Sometime we get deemed because we're good. >> That's you just summarized. >> What I'm saying? And uh it's been like that for since I've been on the board. U if it's not if you go in and try to fix it, then you won't get the money, but if you let it, it makes it look bad. So darn if you do. >> There's another district in New Mexico that that our PSFA rep, they're they're building a new high school for this district. It's 15 years old and it is beyond repair >> already >> in 15 years and we've had a 70 year old high school. So I think that speaks volumes for Clovis

and the way things have been built as well as paired over the years. Cameo when we worked on the FMP two years ago, it's due for demolition, but because we've made some improvements along the way, other people have moved up. Cameo currently is at 279. weird. >> You take too good care of your facilities and that's true. >> But we're we're very good students of our taxpayers money. >> I would agree. >> They need to work on the rubric so that it includes >> you know weighted you know a 70 year old building in good conditions should still get a higher rating that 15y old building needed to take care of. >> Right. >> That's correct. whole another level of discussion in >> right I know you can't do anything about it but >> and

interior improvements are important as Mr. Florida knows the electrical and the code compliance and what you have behind those walls of 78 building and things change. >> Correct. >> Well, I am Am I reading this right? Uh see it's farther down on the list. Uh has CHS upcoming bond project. You know, concession stands 1986 plumbing fixtures 57 plumbing fixture rockstars. That's is that how old they are? I mean they've never been changed. >> Yes. Well, I just want to make sure that that everybody knows what we're >> in. Yeah. >> It's the same locker room you played out of and I played out of >> and and it's just >> you guys. Yeah. Very >> true, Mr. >> But you know, we it and that goes to show that we have taken care of our

facilities, but I mean everything has a shelf life. >> Yes, sir. >> You know, and as as you mentioned, every three years, you know, as far as the electrical code, it changes every three years. building code too. >> Okay. So, you know, um as we move forward then I mean we have to bring everything up to them standards. If you take this uh ceiling down and remove it, everything that that is above it has to be brought up to code compliance before we we move forward with it with the new roof. And that is >> sorry about that. Yes, >> if this then this, right? And and so two classrooms we're adding to the high school for Mr. Sparks group, we have to have exterior doors, 948 square feet. One qualifies. We didn't have that

issue in the library, but now in a building because of code compliance, we have to have exterior doors. So, >> it changed static planning. And it's hard on you guys because if you have a building, if it's not ready, we call shovel ready, you still wouldn't get pumped. >> Correct. >> But I'm very proud of the work and as you can see in the list, the things that we as priorities, we are addressing those and we want to make sure that they're aware that we are making progress towards the things that we said we would do. >> I appreciate that. It's a it's a thing. People in the community can see what's happening with our buildings and so it's it's nice for them to see that too. >> And we will eventually finish the room

and focus on >> I don't know. I'm telling you who >> I live over there and I told you yes. >> I thought about going to offer to help because you just need somebody to >> got seven minutes. Yeah, >> maybe the supervisor. I think >> I I I think I could do it. >> We have the boots. And while we have the mic, I'd like to go ahead and just offer that. Um, we're excited to notify the board that we'll be presenting at next month's board meeting information outlining new and innovative plans for the future use of the Rain Tree building. uh this upcoming presentation will have I possibilities vision and opportunities connected facility and its role in supporting students in the district and so it's a very broad concept that we're considering and

we're working through but it's also very exciting and some of it aligns to some of that renovation that we're doing at the high school and some of the programs that we can support through the use of that facility. So lots to come but I want to make sure you know that sharing that next slide. >> That's awesome. actually they've been working hard on the field on the >> backside right there's always some other story that goes with it and so and so we have to have that that field GMAX tested it's called the balance test it can't be too hard and so >> a lot of lot of organizations use that field and we have passed successfully but it was time time. >> Even we got into it and of course all that base course

and everything underneath it wasn't laid appropriately is what we're being told. So they had to dig that up and in addition they didn't put a liner on that field that goes underneath >> the the turf, the artificial turf. And so we're adding that. It's being done. I'm going to validate what he said. If we're going to get into a project, we're going to do it right. This thing will be good for 25 years and we'll just replace the brass the turf part and then come back. have to deal with anything that comes through the drain or or the elements of that build. >> I could add that it drains very well. >> The shock pad it's called an e- layer represent e- layer will last for about 25 years. The field will not last the

turf wall of course. >> Thank you guys. >> Wow. >> Okay. And we do not have any cards or open forum. >> Okay. So, we'll move down to announcements. M Russ. >> Yes. Um at this point in time, I'd like to uh just uh you know, say thank you to Miss Miss Edber for for coming and being a part of this board um and stepping up, you know, when we needed you. Uh it's been a pleasure working with you. You're an awesome board member and uh we have a little something for you on behalf of the board and and everybody here at CMS. >> Oh boy. >> Thank you. >> And I'm going to stop right there because if you start crying then I'm going to start crying and then everybody gonna start crying. Start

crying before we can fire. Don't be a stranger. Come back and see us anytime. >> Thank you, God. >> I'll write it in a letter. All right, everybody come out uh beginning Thursday night and share on our Wildcats and Wildcats during our holiday basketball tournament. We had a temple in here, but we looked really tired. Mom, >> we still got one. >> Yeah, she got one. >> Uh we will be breaking for our winter break December 22nd through January 6th. will be nursable for students or campuses. Uh full month employees will return on that Friday before they return, which is second. >> Okay. >> Um district offices will be closed through the 1st. January 5th, all campus staff return. We have some amazing professional development plan on the 5th and 6th. January 19th, uh Martin

So we we thank you and uh with that
