001All right. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I salute the flag of the state of New Mexico, the symbol of a perfect friendship among united cultures. >> You can kick mine out of there if you want. All right, Amanda. >> That's well, >> you didn't prepare for taking over that part. >> You lead us in prayer. >> Dear heavenly father, we give all thanks and glory to you. We thank you for bringing us in this room together as one so that we can come together, Lord, to do what's best for our students, for this school, and for this community. We just ask that you help us to be the light

002and the salt and help us change each environment that we walk into, Lord. Um, help us to make the best decisions possible as long as it's in your will, Lord. Um, we just ask for your guidance and protection tonight in everything that we do and keep us safe in Jesus name. Amen. >> Amen. >> All right. Our first presentation comes from Tri West Fence. You guys are up. >> So, my name is Milo. This is Robert. Um, from Tri West Fence. We're both project managers and estimators. My I handle the fencing part of the business and user expert on automation electrical. >> Okay. I have a question before you start. Yes. >> Where are you guys located? >> Bernalo. Okay. That's where >> Yeah. So we're a a local business in Bernalo. Maybe a little

003bit bigger than Paloma. >> Seriously, it's not that big. >> Exactly. >> It looks big, but it's not that big. Real Rancho is about to >> You're going to be all Rio real Rancho in these days. >> So we have 50 years of experience in gates and fencing. Uh we have ops managers or our operation supervisor. He's been he's worked for TLC um a lot of civil companies construction. So when he comes visits the site when he when he does he's going to look at everything and not just focus on fencing but everything the the foundation the you know and he knows all like ADA and all all the stuff that you know a lot of people just overlook when they're laying out fence because he he has the whole package of from what's underground

004and and what's up. Um, we do have I could have passed these out earlier, but here's kind of what your layout for what we had planned for here. Um, I could leave these or in the middle if you had any questions on that. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> So, what we've been discussing with Curtis and um I think Amanda is um the type of fancy we wanted to we that felt suited you guys. Um that's a lot better than chain lead but more affordable than like ornamental irons is our decorative welded wire. And and I think Curtis had mentioned if we could reuse it, if you're going to remodel, can we take it off, put it back on? And the answer is yes. It's a lot easier to do that than, you know, trying to reuse

005chain link. It's that stretched. It's hard to reuse it. Um we, you know, we we designed um help designed for APS um what we call our up and over gates. So you'll see them in the some of the pictures there. They're uno gates we own and they're designed for, you know, security exit with the panic bar self closer and uh we could key them to whatever you guys need to to get in positioned at, you know, various spots that we kind of talked about. Um and then I'll let Robert take over on the automation that we have planned for the parking and bus area. >> Yeah. So we have three automatic gates on that one. So the operator we're going to use will operators which has a battery backup. So then power availability you still

006have access to operators to operate open and close. Uh and also we are intended to do what's called an enclosed track. It's a not an ingground track. It rides on a two volley and it's suspended on that. So, uh, no tearing up of the asphalt or anything. And it's a bigger gate, but it does have a lot more strength and it does have more reliability than traditional ground. There's nothing ever in the elements exposed on that route. Um, so they're sealed bearings. We reinstall them quite often everywhere and they they do work very well easy to push uh you know case of a manual operation that we need to do. Uh as far as we also have identified three locations three locations for electrical for future cameras. Uh that's the ones that are identified in

007green that we will run electrical for it. Uh provide a 110 and I believe it's going to be a wireless back what's called a wing back for the cameras. uh you know whoever does their local ticket I believe it's a >> it's uh right now we for as far as access for the gates to operate while we have them on we're going to include timers meaning that we'll set them up for you guys to for them to automatically open you know from 8 to 5 or close from 8 to 3 and again around you know, whatever you guys are needs are. Uh, but also an override button, meaning a coded basic coded keypad that you guys can enter and or reprogram as well code. So, you can access the S gates. And it's also going

008to have on the exit side cuz on on one is an entry and exit. So, the exit side would be an exit loop. Turbo driver automatically uh since it's a magnetic field will pick up the metal of the vehicle, open it on itself. you guys. Um, so we also include we do a lot of work for APS. We have a APS contract um as well as River Rancho public schools. Um, it's a lot of the kind of the same stuff. Welded wire chain link as well, but um lot of wild wire automated gates and our up and over panic gates. >> That's one. Sorry. Go ahead. Have we seen the contract for this or the cost to this? >> It um I believe Curtis received the CES. >> Oh, cool. >> I haven't seen We

009haven't seen anything back from >> We never saw it. >> If you guys don't mind foring it. >> Yeah. Can you send it to >> Yeah, I'm like this is >> Yeah. So in that proposal it does give our school how you detail how many feet everything that's going on and we'll make sure you guys get that. >> I don't remember this. Okay. Thank you that. Yeah. So thank you. So I have don't want to put the cart before the heart but I have a question and I guess for uh the staff here and then you guys also. So are we thinking uh going more with a a >> well that's you guys. So we have this as an option because um that was something that had already been talked to them about having to

010kind of compare prices between that and a geo fencing with ocul just so you guys can weigh those. >> Perfect. >> Oh great. Just wanted to make sure I knew where we were. So, um, and of course I I feel like you guys are because this is what you do, but can you give us We're trying to decide if we want to go with a fence like this or we want to go more with a what's that called? >> Virtual. Yeah. Like geo, which I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that. Um, do you So, what are your opinions on on the pros and cons of this versus virtual >> virtual fence about that like a it would notify you if yes barrier? >> Yes. >> And that's okay. I'm not trying >> someone

011will cross a barrier and >> there's no security until >> somebody >> never gets notified. And so depending on what your your time that you need to get someone out there before whatever the security threat is um that would be up to you have people stationed around I think it would be fine >> right >> or someone on call and on site but if it's >> they're in they're >> at that point you just got to rely on your system on notifications and how quick can someone get to them now that they're on the perimeter >> or on the the premises. premise. >> Yeah. Okay. >> I mean, as well speak, you know, I'm not trying to not sell you fence, but fences just keep, you know, honest people. >> Yeah. >> But if it's

012a safe fence, you know, we're going to, you know, first of all, I don't even think I could show offense, but so people back in the day. Yeah. I'm not trying to age. >> I'm so sorry. >> Any of us jump a six foot? >> Not Not that. I mean not where you can't get a you know you can't get any. So those are those are built anti. So those are definitely so you would those would keep people especially honest people but most people the of your perimeter area and and we make sure that if there's an area like you there's a lot of that stem wall or the you know we're going to make sure we're not just putting a fence up against it now they could climb the wall and just jump the

013three foot fence. We're going to have a solution for that where there's a six foot fence from any grade so that they can't just jump on top of a wall and jump it or anything like that. >> How heavy are those cases the best? >> The manual ones um if if they're the if they're swinging it's real easy. Okay. >> Um most of them are I think we have swinging. Um the rolling ones of course the bigger they are the heavier. But anything on an enclosed track is super so easy. >> So I have another question. What happens if there's no electricity? >> They have battery backup for the ones that are automated >> for how long? >> Uh so depending on the usage. So if you don't use them for let's say uh if

014it's not so for heavy communities that we install these operators meaning that they have a lot of foot traffic in and out. It's lasted three days of continuous use. So for a school this size, uh I can see it for three four days still be in operation. That's the good thing about the basic keypad. It'll still communicate with the actual operator to open >> and then can you manually override it and then and then slide it still open it? >> You can take off the cover simple cover and pull a pin actually just push it or it does have that release that you can just roll that chain. >> Yeah. And then for the manual gates though, the we use what they're called shuty hinges or sealed bearings. So clean and straight. You don't have

015to do some like uh you know other bearings. >> Okay. >> And sorry go ahead. What other schools besides burn Albuquerque? What other schools are >> is it? >> Yeah, we're doing Santa Fe School of the Death where that's a huge campus and we're a lot of this wired and building a huge gate right now for the bus uh bus side that they have actually starting now probably at the beginning of the year >> and and the last three years APS really put an effort into securing all of their campuses. are all closed now. And that included if they had a any fencing that was not 6 foot, we went and replaced it with 6ft fence. Um, all of Rancho public schools have six foot fence of the welded wire along with um some automated

016and manual gates along with our those uno gates. So almost every school in Alber every school and Santa we do you know Santa Fe as well. >> What's the life the average life of those fences? >> Well they're they're all the materials powder coated so the only so they won't really fade. The only thing that I've noticed if there's a lot of rain or spray systems to get like a calcium buildup, but that powder coating it keeps out anything from rusting and I've seen some warranty with it 12 years. >> I think it's 12 year warranty on the fencing manufacturer warranty. Um, >> and so it sounds like y'all maybe haven't had even though you're heavily involved with a lot of schools, these are still fairly new in a lot of your installation areas. >>

017I I know we have some older I could get some research and maybe get back to you. >> Yeah, get back to because of damage vehicles. >> Yeah, I feel get back to Randa on that. Great. And how what what what you have done here um how long on average and I know sometimes there's unforeseen um challenges. I get that. But based on what you know, how long would it take you to put this out? >> About three to four weeks. >> Yeah. Um, we could put about 100 about 100 to 200 feet a day. >> Okay. >> The fancy. The only thing that will take a little bit longer would be the fabrication of the gates >> because we won't fabricate the gates until we have the post in uh because I fabricate the

018gates first and then the post can't go where they need to go. >> So that's the only because we have our own fabrication shop back. Brilliant. That's the only thing that will take a little bit the actual building. You all do all of it. You do the whole thing. You're not relying on another vendor for it's it's a turnkey deal. Okay. What about like um support and maintenance? >> Yeah, that's fantastic. We have a 247 uh 24hour 7-day on call for the automated keys. Okay. >> If you guys call, there's a specific number. They'll answer because they have that phone number and they'll drive out here. Uh because we do service uh all of New Mexico and uh west uh Texas. We have another area. one second. >> All right. >> Thank you. >> Any

019other questions? >> Well, we appreciate it, gentlemen. If you'll get her the quote, another If you'll get her the quote, then we'll >> and we'll talk about that. >> Send to you. Y >> Thank you guys. >> Y appreciate it. Get distracted by and being careful. >> Oh, okay. Cool. >> Thank you. >> Are there any questions that we should have asked that we didn't ask? >> When can we start? >> I'm glad you didn't answer. >> If we had a proposal today um just on our schedule, we're booked till like beginning of February. >> Oh, so that's not that bad. >> It's not that bad. It's not summer. >> If um if we had it today and you're like, "We need it. We need you in by Christmas." We could make something happen. But

020right, >> we waited this long. >> But that's good to know that it's not six months out or seven months out. >> We generally stock this wire. >> Yeah, we have Yeah, all this is in stock like you said just fabricating the gates. >> It's right. >> Okay. And so if we were to, of course, once we get the proposal and the quote and if the board were to move forward with that and we set a date, then that the materials wouldn't go up. All of that would be locked in. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Now, if you six months from now, um, we might probably ask if we can, >> right? No, I completely get that. Okay. But yeah, Curtis had already reached out and that's just kind of updated. >> Okay. >> I

021think we walked over here. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Thank you very much. >> When you you might watch and you Are you all going out this way? Just watch for wildlife, which you probably go that >> and the crazy construction >> folks here. >> Is that the main reason you're feeding the fencing is all the >> Yes. >> Well, it just >> that and we're also >> It's an hour before that the state police tells us it's an hour before they can get here. We do have a we do have an an officer here two days school resource officer deputy sheriff here two days a week but those other days they mostly have to come from Riosa or Kerazoo to get here and that's 30 to 45 minutes if they're in Kerazoo. We

022have highways that go >> you know we've got all these highways and it's just it's just a miracle that something hasn't happened before and then plus we've have plus we have all these new guys in and we should have done it we probably should have done it two years ago when they started but we didn't realize it was going to you don't realize how bad it's going to get until they get here and then so we've had a few incidents that have have really opened our eyes >> so Uh >> we're here to help. Okay. >> And we have a lot of expertise on just not just the fence but >> where it could go, why how it could go, why we need a >> you know space here and like you know so >>

023we we're with you guys on that. >> Thank you >> and just thank you for having us open the meeting with the pledge and prayer. That was that was pretty Thank you. >> Thank you. Nice turn that both of you. >> All right, Nick, >> you're up. >> Thank you everyone. I'm from public service as a district conference in a couple weeks time. Oh yeah, that's on the agenda, isn't it? >> Yeah, >> that's on the agenda, isn't it? >> And then secondly, I saw a land swap on the uh agenda later on tonight. We helped Clayton and the boy with an analysis for their land swap. As you all know, your bonding capacity is based off your land value and any potential changes in it. I don't know if it's a land swap with

024another district or something. >> Exactly. Selling it to a p >> uh a private entity, a citizen. Yeah. And it's not >> it's like two it's like two or three uh lots here and two lots there. It's not it's not like it's a huge amount. It just it just squares some things up on their property and it's something that >> and we haven't used it. >> We haven't ever used it. >> We've never used it. So it's like vacant land. >> I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a big district realignment or like >> No. >> Yeah. No. >> Say we can tell you what that impact will be. It doesn't cost you anything for it. Oh, okay. >> But going back to guess kind of the regular update and why we're here tonight

025for congratulations on the successful general obligation bond election. I think the more pressing item is the SB9 election and how to possibly maybe go back to voters and get that reapproved. Do you recommend you go back to voting approval just because they're like vital funding for your ongoing maintenance needs of probably4 or $50,000 that's raised locally. And then you also receive a portion from the state because you're taxing the residents. >> Um, so it probably covers the maintenance person salary and then changing light bulbs, door locks, things like that. It is pretty important funding that most of New Mexico. >> So I have a question for you. Can you help Randa create uh something to send out before the before the election? Remember Travis and I used to and Karen, we would send out something

026that said this is if you have this much value, this is how it will change, but this is what it's for for the health and safety of our maintenance of our buildings. We didn't do any of that. >> We didn't do any of that. >> That's right. >> And and it's not on these guys. It's, you know, it's we just it didn't get done. And I think that's why it failed. And this is the first time ever that it didn't pass as far as I know. and I've been here for 37 years and >> I think you're right. >> It's It's the first time. It is. It literally is the first time. So, we need some help in writing something up to put in the newspaper, to post in the post office, to send in

027a flyer to the people at, you know, um >> to everybody, you know, like a mass mailing and and not make it like, you know, needs to be simple. it it just be really simple but easy but also something that says this is for the safety of our students and our staff. >> Yes, ma'am. I >> because I thought I figured that if one of going to be wasn't going to pass, that wasn't the one that wasn't going to pass. I thought that was going to pass, the other one wasn't going to pass. >> Just a recup though. I think that SB9 was very confusing and that was just me personally. I think that was that that was it was >> you didn't >> but I think if the education bill was that way >>

028because I mean we never said I was so surprised >> I'd rather see the bond election bail honestly than >> yes flexibility in getting bond dollar SB9 you don't really state it's up to you all and SB9 for um so Randa and I did talk right after the election. I put together on page nine of the presentation some talking points about years. Um election rules have changed. Our firms can no longer produce the physical flyer, right? But we can provide every single talking point, what the tax impact is going to be, do the math, everything like that. We just need someone from the district to go ahead and actually put it together. right? >> Also provide some examples of what other districts have used for their flyers and how to make it prettier than mine

029right here. Um, but the main thing to communicate to voters, the main thing is to communicate to voters like you're all talking about. That can be a town hall, having it as an agenda item on, you know, a floor meeting before the election. Um, putting out flyers at the gas station, the food trucks in town just so everybody's aware of it. And then I do agree the ballot language is pretty confusing. it's something we can't really change. The geo bond looks like it's a one-time tax or approval versus that SB9 being an every year tax and the geo bond is arguably a bigger tax for a longer period of time. Um, so education can go a long way in letting people know that number one, it is just a continuation of the existing tax in

030place. It would not raise their taxes. It would not be a new tax. Um, and then telling them what the the money currently goes towards, how much it raises, and then the things that it can be used for like you're talking about will go a long way to hopefully educating everybody about it. And then you all are in a tricky spot with when your SB9 actually expires. You only have the choice to go forward with the special election if you do not want to have a gap in funding. Your current SB9 mil levy expires in 2025 >> and we'll hit calendar year 2026. Um, so we just set the calendar year tax year, excuse me, 25 tax rates which people paid their first set of bills maybe this week. They'll pay the second half in

031May and June of calendar year 2026. After that, we will set the tax rates with school in August of 2026. And we would not be able to set the tax rate with that SB9 mil levy in place if voters don't approve it before. >> So, when would we have to have this special election? What's our >> next timeline for you all? >> Um, that's on page 10 towards the back, but it does end up being a pretty quick turnaround um for special election. They can be held 100 days after the general election. So that puts us at early February and they cannot be held 70 days before a midterm or primary election which will be in June of this year. Um and then again we'd have to wait 100 days after June before you could

032consider a special election which would push us past that August deadline that we would want it approved for. Um, so our recommendation, I had a meeting with the Torrance County um, clerk earlier this week because there's another school district that's considering a special election. So I just touch timing with her and it is um, general New Mexico guidelines on how special elections work with that 100 day window and things like that. So this timeline I've proposed here is not the quickest or most aggressive you can go with it, but it is right at the end of when your special election window ends at the end of March. So, our ask or request if you guys do want to move forward with a SB9 special election would be to have the board consider it next month

033in December. That's when you all would have to call for the election resolution like you did a few months ago. And then at that point, um, documents would be turned over to the county clerk before their deadline of January 8th. I think I had it. January 8th. From there, everything is off the district's hands besides communicating with the public and doing everything it can to let people know what it is. All of the county clerks for the respective counties that make up your school district will mail out notice of a special election in early February to every registered voter in the county that says Corona Public Schools is considering an election. Mail and ballots will arrive on X date. And then 28 days before the election is when all the counties will mail out the

034ballots directly to the residents that are eligible to vote. And then they have 28 days to um respond to the ballot, drop it off in person, mail it back. You all as the school district are responsible for paying for postage. I think it ends up being three different mailings that you have to pay for the notice of the election, mailing out the actual election and ballots. And then you need to provide return postage for all the ballots even though some people will not vote and some people people will drop them off in person. Um I think the cost for Santa Rosa which was a bigger district was around $8,000. That was a couple years ago. So it should be between5 and $10,000 at most by the time the lawyers are paid. Um we don't charge

035for any help in a special election. Our work comes when we actually go to sell those general obligation bonds. So, we'll work with Randa and the team on putting together flyers and all those talking points and helping it pass so we can set the tax rate in May of or excuse me, August of next year. >> Okay. >> So, it's strictly a mail in >> strictly a mail and that's the only choice. Yes. And then there is some flexibility. I think I put March 19th is the mail in date. If someone says we don't like the 19th, we like the 12th because it's our lucky number or something. That's fine. Yeah, I need to know the next week or two if you guys have real on what that day is going to be. I think

036March 27th or 28th is the latest it can go and then most of the county clerks are out of the office around Christmas and New Year's which is why an early February election gets challenging because they have to have everything approved and ballots start to bail out most likely before Christmas. Um so this works a little nicer for the clerks as well. Okay. So obviously these are successful or they wouldn't happen. But what is your experience on the success rate? So do you or something like this? Success rate for us has always been positive on these. Um Pasco used to be a client of ours. They are no longer and after they left they have a lot of trouble with their SP9 and geo bond elections. Part of it was just how some of the

037ballots read putting that SP9 question on the back page and people missed it the first go around. and then they tried again and didn't tell anyone what the tax was for. So, it did take them three tries, two special elections. That was a rare case. Um, you guys are a smaller school district and believe we'll do your part to let everybody know what it goes towards. And if that happens, I think we have plenty of time to get it approved and pass the first go around so we're not wasting money on it. And you said it in order to do that it would we would be out what you say 10 maybe to 10 8 to 10,000 >> to all posted so it isn't >> it's all posted so we can I have the numbers

038on how many people responded on the last election means less than 100 people actually came up to vote >> it's like 501 voted show up to vote you guys have more registered voters than that um the second mailing that includes a ballot the return envelope is a little bit heavier. I don't know what it actually costs, but even if it's, you know, a dollar50 or $2 a person, um, we can do the math on the number of registered voters and you guys should be on the low end of my estimate, but I don't want to tell you it's be surprised with a bigger bill. >> Okay. Okay. We don't have a choice. We don't >> we do recommend you go forward with this election just so there's not that gap in funding. Otherwise, the next

039choice is 2027 for a general election. >> We will have already set the we've done 28 taxes before that and makes you guys be out for the four years without that funding. >> Wow. No problem. So, if you want to have some sort of special town hall, things like that, we're happy to help you explain how it's not a tax increase, have someone know there, but if you just put flyers, >> but I think >> you guys are right cuz I tried to I thought that one was the the geo. I mean, you know, I didn't know it was I had them confused. I didn't know one was the middle levy and I didn't I had because that one was so wordy and scares people. >> Yeah, exactly. And they don't understand. >> So, we

040need we just need to educate electorate. So, we can do we can we can do that. >> We've done it in the past for 37 years. >> I could I I I educated the the women's domino circle today. Uh, no. We've got a lot of non-con converters there, don't we? >> What are the having potlucks >> and we would get people all together and we'd have a potluck and do you remember that? You guys would remember that? I don't. >> You were probably a little kid, but >> I got some. I remember having potlucks and having >> a town hall where we invited everybody and Travis explained what was going on and why we needed it. We I we did that several times >> and I don't think a town hall because sometimes those bills

041create more problems >> but I just remember that >> but I think if we get a flyer out to them and and and talk it up >> and post >> everybody we see >> Yeah. and share like the basketball games or >> Okay, then I have a question that guys because we can't tell people how to vote. >> So there you go. >> Is because that's that's neutral yet. Tell people there is a special election. Please go vote. You can't tell them to vote. Yeah. >> We can explain to them >> when they ask question what it fun >> what it's fun. Yeah. Like >> we can't do that. I don't know if I really want to point this out to everybody, but on page four, we have the tax relies levy is the $2

042tax. Um, tax three and a half four and a half dollars. So, even though that SB9 looked like it was going because it had more years listed in the actual question, it ends up being, you know, half of what your debt service payments are and gives you a lot of flexibility in how you spend those maintenance dollars. Are we allowed to share those numbers? >> Yes. And we can >> Okay. Yeah. Because I think that would help a lot. People getting a bill for like Oh, okay. >> And we can let you guys know what a $2 mill levy actually equates to for the average house. Um $1 is or $1 mill levy is equal to $33 a year on $100,000 property or taxable property. And so that would be, you know, $66 divided by

04312 how would mostly pay their mortgages ends up being, you know, $2 to5 we'll call it for the average person that they're paying on their tax. And my guess is if it fell off, they probably would not notice the >> degree. >> Exactly. It's a perception thing. >> It is. Yeah. Which I totally get. We have to help explain that. of the current tax, not the new one. The question >> reads it because the old one does expire and so you're asking them to give you new authorization for it, but it's same thing we've done. >> Yeah, but I think that's another thing we need to emphasize. It's not a new tax. You guys have passed >> for 37 years that I know of and probably even longer. >> It does change. It's yield restricted

044by the state. So, um, whatever your value is at the time of the election, that's technically the dollar amount that residents are approving. So, over time, it has drifted from some dollars down to $1.95, we'll call it, because the value here in Corona has gone up. So, if all the construction here does provide positive growth in valuation, which we expect it to, that $2 will likely be a$1.90 or $1.95 by the time it >> all said and done. And so they're giving you the same dollar amount today that they will in five years time >> ability to grow up there too which should hope. >> Cool. >> Thank you very much. >> There is one other slide in here. I don't know. Oh yeah right now. If you want to address that is another day.

045But this was kind of our proposed plan of finance to actually sell the bond. Cannot sell the bond or do anything right now. We're in a blackout period, we'll call it, where the state has to certify all the election results. That takes 30 days and then that point you are all free to sell the bonds. We don't want to sell the bonds until you're ready to actually spend it because you start paying interest on that money if you're not spending it. Um, main thing I just wanted to point out on this slide is that box over in green on the right hand side. The second row shows calendar year 2026. That is our tax year 2025 rates that we just set. That has a total residential tax rate for everybody right now at $7 27

046or 28 cents depending on how you round it. When we do go to sell the bonds, we'll have to do a little bit of fine tuning. Right now, it's showing about a 0.25 increase in the total tax rate. It'll most likely be flat and consistent at that 7.25% rate. So, we do still think that you guys will be able to sell these geo bonds when you're ready without having the tax increase. Um, we just most likely need to take some action by June to start that process so we can maintain the tax rate at that consistent $7 mark. And that is where you guys all become eligible for the waiverss from PSFA. Um, Curtis and I had some conversations. I believe you're all on the agenda for action in December from PSFA. At that point,

047we'll know a little bit more on when they're requiring money from you all and that might dictate if the first bond sale is sufficient to cover it or >> we're on their agenda. >> I believe you're on their agenda. >> We did check with that, Brenda, with the PSFA. PSA PSFA, not teacher housing, but the remember I asked you about the bond and I know you're drinking from fire hose, hun, >> but you might try and call them again and make sure where we stand where we are. >> And I did talk about it. >> Yeah. Oh, good. Yes. >> I mean, she is drinking from a fire hose. >> Their internal meeting was is tomorrow, the 13th. Um, that is when their finance subcommittee meets to discuss all the projects. they might have reached

048out already asking some questions on waiverss which we've talked about and if you guys are going to need them we said yes you will need waivers that will then move forward to action in December. Um so you guys are teacher housing should be approved and money available and then I think the combined school project is the one that he had me review the draft application for in September by September. That's the one I believe that they're discussing um potentially more. >> So they did turn it in. >> My analog he did. Yes. I was on the emails with his draft letter before I went to PSFA. Um I think I got all after it was sent in. I don't reach out to PSFA and check. >> Will you please? >> I live up in Santa

049Fe. I'm planning to attend all of the meetings as well and report back. >> Did you add the application? Is that what you were just asking? Sorry. >> Yeah, exactly. And >> she was just confirming that attorney >> that he did. >> Yes. Um and then I asked him, they had like a follow-up question to either say yes or no. Um and so I asked Nick for advice of how to word that. And so, um I did get an email stating that they will be meeting and and determining that information. >> I just want to make sure it comes. >> Yeah, exactly. Um but again that will determine if they give you an award and say you can move forward with my school tomorrow then it's up to you all how quickly you want to

050move even if they say that there's still some delay in giving you the award the funding and then first step is finding designs and architects and you most likely will not need the first set of money within the next six months but if you do please let us know. >> Okay. All right. >> Just for your knowledge, no tax increase for now that we expect, >> right? >> Any questions, please let Rand know. We're happy to answer them. >> Okay. So, so did they um get some one that's that's remaining up there. Um I know there were some musical chairs up there. Is all of that working a little bit better? Yes, they put PSA put some in place last month officially >> and there's right now it is working but hardest part I think

051right now is that we have to reexlain what you got to do what other staff members have maybe alluded to and then trying to see if that all still holds true. Um the biggest change that took place was during legislative session last year to drop the waiver requirements for the new law from $10 to $7. That's what I guess elong maintain that $7 tax rate for at least four years. That's how the state considered you for tax burden indeed. I mean, at that point, you guys would put forward your $2.5 million, potentially $2 million if we can save a couple hundred thousand for the athletic fields or things they won't cover. And then the state um will most likely make you go through the traditional launch system on the planning and design phase which will

052exhaust your full 2 million before planning and design is done. And then waiverss will kick in for the remainder of >> because we're still at the 9010. >> Yes, that's correct. Um so maybe won't exhaust it fully in planning and design then because that would be some pretty expensive blueprints. Um but most blueprints right now for schools are costing about $5 million. So you'd be responsible for 10% of that. And then at that point, >> no, we're 90%. >> 90% >> because Zouri lawsuit. We're a 9010 school. We have to come up with 90. >> Although I know there was something that went through the legislature that took, >> you know what I mean? >> I thought that >> we were on 904 the legisle changed, >> but I didn't know if it had been

053repealed. >> Yeah. No, so you guys I believe you were 9010. I think there's 63. right now that's in place through fiscal year 27 which is one more year which is another reason >> we have that urgency with PSFA um there is no confirmation if the legislation will approve new reductions in that local match after 2027 but I have heard it is going to be on their agenda discussion >> discussion so okay my next question is where where do we rank where's our ranks >> nth I believe school that's a final 2026 ranking. >> So, you'll qualify for full waiverss based on your tax rate, the school ranking. >> Good. Okay. >> And that's that won't change. >> It should not change, but Okay. >> It will change in June of 2026 when we get

054the new ones. Um, but I've only seen a handful of schools go from 90 above 100. Um, and you guys have not, to my knowledge, done fire panels or anything like that in the last three to four months, that would dramatically benefit you. >> Well, on the other >> fences is one thing we might want to discuss. Um, if you guys were to put fences in in January and then got approved, you know, that might make an issue. But based on your ranking right now being 89 and them giving the waiverss potentially in December, you should be fine to install fences in January even after you made that award. >> So if for some reason they delayed your award in December, we might want to talk about waiting. But >> okay, good to know. >>

055I don't anticipate that um delay coming in December. >> And the only other way we could our ranking could change is if some other school had some major disasters go on. >> Correct. then we would need at least 11 of them. There are a couple of >> hopefully that would not happen, but it it's a possibility. It could happen. >> And there are other schools in the top 100 moving forward with applications or a lot of schools. Um I think at least 15 of them. So >> Oh, okay. >> That means we have to see something 30 something. Yeah. To lose their ring. So >> we're pretty confident you guys will be okay, especially because you already have that application in. We were able to do that because of the last bond sale getting the

056tax rate above $7. Right. And >> that makes it so Curtis was able to put the application in in September of this year rather than having to wait potentially until January of 26. >> Okay. >> You guys are in full spot right now for the waiver. >> Well, and that's also going to help our pill payments from the wind. >> Yes. >> As far as PSA is concerned, you guys don't have any of that. >> I don't. >> Those are your flexible. >> There are discretionary >> but it does >> yet you guys information. It does. Once we go above seven, the pill payments, it really helps our pill. It'll go up. >> All right. Thank you very much. >> Yeah. I'll be there. >> I'll be there. Well, I mean, I don't want >>

057I don't want to. >> Yeah, I got I I have a few more >> I have a few more points to get. >> Thank you very much. >> Yes. >> Be safe and be careful. >> This weekend >> Oh, yeah. >> days. I wouldn't mind. That's a tough place to hunt. >> I mean, >> all right. >> The agenda doesn't need >> and have on our December agenda >> the >> Yes. Yes. Yeah. >> The uh special election. >> Okay. Okay. The agenda doesn't need to be amended. Minutes from October regular meeting and October special meeting. >> I move to approve. You can give it to >> back on. There she is. >> Oh, >> hi Vicki. >> Can you hear us now? >> I can hear you guys. >> Can you hear me? >>

058You can't hear me? >> No, we can't. I can read your lips. Uh oh. Let me see. >> Can you hear us? >> Yes, >> you can hear us. We can't hear you. >> Let's try this. I changed my mic. Does that work? Can you hear me now? >> We can hear you now. now. >> Okay, let me uh I had my earbuds in. >> Okay, we're almost to you. >> Okay, I'm good. >> Motion been made and seconded to accept the minutes of October regular meeting and October special meeting. All those in favor? >> I. >> All those opposed? All right, payrolling bills. >> I have I think I've asked this before, but that drag to fly is our reps, right? >> Yes. >> Correct. >> Okay. Um, no. Really well. >> On page

05911 of the accounts purchase order history report, there's a fund or there's 11,2500 53414. It says undesated. That needs to have some description. What is 53414? I can't remember. What's the object 534? Uh 53414 is um contract services and I've been working to clean those chart of accounts up as I come across them. But you're right, that one needs to have more description on that. Let me tell you >> other contract services is 55915 or 53. Hold on. I'm looking it up right now. 53 know it off the top of my head. >> I don't either. I don't remember. 53414 is other ser other professional services. It would be things um I'm looking to see which one it is. You said it's on page 11 of the account purchase order history. >> I see it.

060Okay. So that's any bank fees. Um specifically the FSB is bank fee. Um the is probably also bank fees. Um, it's any kind of financial services, >> those banks. So, are we getting them back? Is that what those adjustments are? Bank statement adjustment because I used to ask for them back. >> Sometimes we do, but not for the money orders. No, we have to pay for the fee of money orders. >> Okay. >> And that's where that's being charged is under that that object code. >> Okay. And then I noticed there's several open purchase orders. So it kind of skews unless they really need to be open from 79 of 25 since July. >> Let me look. >> There's a bunch. I It's It's holding incumbrances that that could probably be released. >> Well, they

061could be annual POS, too. So, if we have monthly charges >> Yeah, I know. Utilities. But there's one for Tyler Technologies. >> Yes. That's because we've been implementing the employee self-s serve. It's not closed yet. We're we're still in the middle. >> Okay, that makes sense to me. Yes. And I realize that like Central New Mexico Electric, the Village of Corona, you know, there's lots of things that you have an open PO for, but I noticed there was quite a few um from from July, which are fine, but I think someone there's one for Hannah. Yeah, I had a question on the 1800 for Hannah Garrett. >> Yeah. >> And that was actually that was in a PO. It was a check three since we're on it. >> That's her scholarship. >> That was the

062scholarship through the community foundation. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, but there's an open PO for Hannah Celely for $500. >> So, that is an annual PO. They we did them for each of the um office staff for um or Curtis asked us to for any travel that they might have for the year. >> Okay, that makes sense. Um what is Upper Edge Technologies, Inc.? >> Upper Edge, >> uh General Supplies and Materials 56118 on page three. >> Upper Edge. Do you guys remember >> it was replaced by >> Yeah. I think it's keyboards and and like screens and >> it's not one we usually work with with them, but it was I think for partners. I think that's I just never seen that one and I was like what's it? like it wasn't huge but it

063was like >> um was procure therapy that lady that put us >> yes the sped special ed services >> yes um there's another on page one university of Kansas for researching that is our science the the science testing testing and the math learning center >> that is um math learning center is the curriculum >> curriculum. Okay. >> Um I think it's in the elementary map. >> Bridges map. >> Yeah. And then I noticed there are some encumbrance or yeartoate lines in in the wind that we've we've expensed but no monies are there. There's no budget. >> I'm sorry. Say that again. Are you still on the POS? No, I'm I'm now one wind farm. Sorry. >> Okay. All right. I just want to make sure I'm with you. You're good. >> I I I um

064that's how I work. I jump. >> I just noticed that in the wind there are several things that are that have been expended year to date and there's no budget. professional development um 22,533 for professional development. There's 12,500 year to date. >> Yeah, I'd have to look that one. >> Those >> I I want to say that was the uh CT part of the CTE um cost with CN uh CNM or C >> is that the name of the Yeah. Anyway, I just noticed that there's no budget, >> right? So, when you look at 2200 overall though, there's not it's not in the negative. Are you >> Exactly. No, it's it's got plenty of monies there. >> Yeah, 2200 does as well. And that's why I'm I'm asking, are you wanting the individual object codes

065to be positive? I usually just look at the uh function as an overarching. >> No, just 22,000 is fine. >> Okay. And I noticed that too, but I just I just noticed that there was some lines that didn't have any budget, >> which is >> and I do think that when we evaluate this for budget this next year, we we need to really look at how we did spend the money and see if that's where we need to place it because this is just Yeah, it's there's been a lot of adjusting. >> Yeah, exactly. And and it it's time consuming. It is. >> You know, it's very time consuming. I mean, I've been there when I first started and then I was like, "Okay, now I got to figure this out." >> Right. >> All

066right. I think that was it for wind. Um, for me, I do have outstanding checklisting. Um, what was the council for exceptional children? >> That's me. Um, to be a special education director and member of New Mexico coalition of like special. I mean, I knew it was something, you know, but I didn't know it was >> Yeah, they provide a lot of free even with that. So, I'm able to give like free trainings and stuff to our so they have like access to be able to earn certification for free. >> Cool. >> And the floor tech contracting, are they the ones that did the floor in the elementary in Nicole's office? >> Oh, probably. >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> Um, Nasty Learning. >> Yes. That's a lower elementary program that we use to help our

067struggling readers. >> I think I've asked that before, but I forgot. >> You're good. >> It's an odd name. >> New Direction Solutions. >> That's actually the Proare Therapy. That's the name of who we have to remit the text to. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. All right. The PO is to procare therapy, but they're >> but the actual >> remittance is new directions. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And so that the outstanding for Tyler Technologies that's still part of the deal that with them, >> Correct. We're almost done with the implementation phase. We should be closing that out, I would say, within this month by the end of December for sure. >> Okay. Then I noticed you you said we you know the jail balance for the new FY do not not be able to reconcile

068the difference. What did we ever do with that CD? Do you guys know does anybody know what we did with the CD? There was a CD that I always had to use as an adjustment on the bank statement and it was in the vault. It was monies that they couldn't when they sold a bond they bought bonds but they couldn't find the people to pay them. And so we just purchased a CD because we didn't feel like that money was ours. It belonged to the heirs of whoever and they were deceased and there was a CD in the bowl. So Oh, I don't know. I I don't know anything about that. I know that Wells So there's an old bank account in in Tyler that says Wells Fargo CD, but there it has a zero

069balance. It doesn't. >> This is >> Is this even on the books? >> It It should have been. >> So, where does it show up on the books >> as an adjustment? And it shows up on the on the on the rec on the cash report every year or every month already every reconciling item because it's part of our cash. >> But you said you found a CD in the vault. >> And you s found a CD in the vault. >> Who found it? >> Nicole. local. >> I need to I need to have that. Yeah, I need to see I need to see that. >> And I think you just probably need to cuz the bank >> would send me an interest statement once a year and I'd tell them just to roll it.

070And I've never got an auditor. I've never gotten like steeple to anybody or attorney. Nobody had ever told me it's too late. I mean, it's the statute of limitations is passed. cash that hook her in and deposit it, but I never got that. >> What bank reported? >> First per savings bank. >> Okay. So, it is them. >> Yeah, it is for it's our >> bank separate account. >> It's a se it's a certificate of deposit and so it's not really an account, but they account for it and the monies that we have. So when they send us those reports of how much money we have above above the FDIC insurance as a school district. >> So here's what I do have because I was just thinking that sounded familiar when you were talking about

071bond holders. So in the activity fund 230006 I show a fund balance of 5523 uh and 53 cents. So, I'm wondering if that's that CD and it was accounted for in activity dollars. I I'm not sure, but there is. >> I never did. I showed it as an adjustment on the bank statement and I showed it as an adjustment on the cash report quarterly. >> Okay. >> It really wasn't ours to book in any way, shape, or form. >> It showed up in a separate account. >> Yeah. >> But your bank statement was for total cash, not just one particular account. Yeah. >> And is yours Vicki for the one particular account your reconciliation? >> Um it is an act one of the activity accounts is what it's and it's titled due to bond holder

072errors >> but I don't know anything about it. >> Yeah. I'm thinking, but I don't know >> and ask them to send us an updated deal of it because they always gave us interest. >> You know, it's a CD that just rolled and earns interest. It's not huge and they don't pay a lot, but it has increased in value. So, that number should have changed. >> But I never booked it as a I was like, "No, doesn't belong to us. We're not even I I didn't even feel like we were the fiduciary of it for a 23,000 bond. Do you know what I mean? Because it's not ours. It belongs to the heirs of whoever bought that bond. We might have to revisit with Nick on that and see if there's something >> and I

073can talk to the auditor too when she comes back on site. Um I I can talk to Pam about it. I think I talked to Pam about it years ago. Ask her. She might remember this. >> I just need clarity. So, these bonds were sold. It was some type of a general obligation bond. >> Yes. >> Um, do you have any idea what year? >> Oh my god. >> No, because >> Okay. >> I I think No, I I don't I don't remember. I just know that all of a sudden we got this money and I felt like and I think Pam might have been our auditor and it was like these are not >> this is not our money and so I think her suggestion was buy a CD and just get let it

074roll until they figure out who the heirs are to this bond holder and I and and it wasn't Steifle it was uh George K bomb remember when they the bond people, George K. Bomb, they were the ones that that gave us that sent us this check. And I think Pam was our auditor and she's the one that said, "Buy a buy a CD because you're not it's not yours. It's not the schools." >> Okay. So, Nicole, if you can bring that down to the office, we'll uh Hannah will put that in the um the fireproof safe and then I'll get with the bank and see where we're at with it. >> Um it's already in the state of the elementary. >> Yeah, I always kept it in. >> We need to have it down in

075the in the Yeah, we need to have it in the business office. >> Okay. I was just wondering if that was your heir. >> It could be. I mean, it's it it's very possible. Um, and you can see from the bank reconciliation. So, I worked with Tyler a long time, another lady named Pam, and um, you can see that the direct vouchers that we thought we were going to be able to clear then totally threw off our bank reconciliation. And so, we had to undo that work. and she was not sure what to do now. So, um >> that's why they're back that that's why they're not cleared though. Um and it's it it's because it's two fiscal years ago, >> right? >> That's the problem. >> You might ask him. >> I will. >>

076There might be some, you know, way to create a journal entry, >> right? Know the fund balance or what, right? And the biggest issue is because our a our balance is already audited from that fiscal year. So to go back and undo and I mean I know what we need to do. I just don't want to do that without the auditor blessing that. >> Exactly. Blessing it. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. >> Okay. Thank you. That was all mine. I know has something. >> So, um, on the bank since we're on it, but you're able to balance, you have a carrying item from back when, but you're able to balance month to month, >> month to date. It's just the year to date and correct. And that amount is I know you're still digging and working, but

077that amount is not changing. It's just an unreconciled year-toate balance that you're carrying from month to month. Is that correct? >> Cor Well, yes, it did actually change um from June to July because we had acred um expenses that then got cleared. But yes, I expect it to it's not changing. And when you look on page four of the bank reconciliation, which is actually page 10 of the whole packet, um you can see that is the actual bank statement reconciliation saying that what the bank says we have and what we say our cash balance is in the bank uh that bank it. It's a zero. There's zero variance. So yes, what you said is accurate. >> It's the general ledger. um that is not reconciled >> which is different. >> Okay. And it's year to

078date. It's month to month to month. >> Correct. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Um I just have a few more little questions. >> Sure. Um, okay. I'm being stupid, but on this sheet right here, this is the uh the summary showing starting with the 1100 operational SVG, you have started off with all funds, budget, percent budget, year-to- date expense, percent of expense to budget, percent year year-to- date. Anyway, it's so just help me. I understand everything walking through this on this which I like this report but help me understand when you get when I like teach this is a small one so you look at the 1,200 and it starts out budget 7 for the whole uh fiscal is 67,88 and that's 97 of the total budget I get that and then year-to- date expense is

079the 10411 K. Um, where I start I understand the the.16%. Then I I'm not following the help me with that math on the 0.01%. >> Okay. So, let me let me just take a look at the >> trying to put you. No, I'm looking at the formula as well. So, I just want to make sure that I don't have an error in the formula in the ex in the spreadsheet. Um, >> the top one works. I But I can't I can't My I just thought maybe it was my brain not firing off correctly. >> Um, I know what the problem is. So, I only have two decimal spaces. It's actually 0.006. So, it's 6 thous0 of a percent. So, it's You're right. It looks funny, but I only have two decimal places. >> It rolled

080it up. >> It just >> Yeah, >> it rounded it. >> But you're right. So, it's not a full 100th of a percent. That's correct. >> Okay. So, uh so let's go down to the next one. Okay. So, all right. So, that's a bigger number. So, the 310,000. So, that is almost 5% of the total budget. Get that. Okay. Okay. So, year to date is the 42,000. So, I get it. That's that's 13.66 um that's been um as far as expended of of the total. Okay. >> Sure. >> Then we have the 2.81. That's year-to- date expense. So, >> it's a percent of the year-to- date. So, it's a percent of the 1.5 million on the very first line. >> Okay. Yeah. Okay. It it's a percentage yeah of our total expense just our expenditures

081and not just transportation above two. Okay. Okay. I was thinking wait that 42,000 is not anywhere near >> because I thought that went down from the 4.48 to the 2.81. That that's where I was getting really messed up. Okay. >> Yeah. It's the total of the year-to- date expense. total of okay I have more questions I forgot on this you already had >> I know you're doing a great job >> is that related to this yes go ahead of this um when you break it out by function um there's on the balance available there's several that are in the whole >> right >> on and then did we not get any title one lease And did we not get any 20 24101 title one? >> We do have 24101. We just haven't spent it. I

082haven't we it hasn't I haven't been given a a direction on how to spend it >> because we always spent that for a teacher or an aid. It was always Amy and and I don't think we hired any of them as a title one aid this year because we had already hired Nancy as an EA position. We had already hired Bianca as an EA position. We filled those positions and so that position is still technically vacant. We're just using those EAS in that space if that makes sense. and they they were supposed to be through Ed Fellows but Kill didn't put in our application for that >> and so okay >> you know we would have been able to get that money for >> we've always used title one >> so technically that that was

083and so the ED fellows is also we don't we haven't spent anything out of the ED fellows either >> well the Ed fellows we don't have budget anymore because we didn't get the grant it's it we're on a waiting list now >> oh >> so that's probably not going to get spent at all. We got the budget authority prior in the prior year um but the application I guess never got turned in I think is what we were told and I checked on the wait list >> last month and never got a response from anybody. >> Dang. So that's a lot. Going back to that title one, is there somewhere we can can put that and be okay. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, so um Randa, we can talk about and who we

084might place there because I think we're kind of at a place where we don't have that earmarked. We just need to look at the application and then make sure that how we expended aligns with what was applied for. Okay. >> Right. Yeah. And then that literacy for children at risk. That's actually go bond. I've gone in and I've fixed it in the um Tyler system. Now I again that's another one I found that needed to be cleaned up. But yes, that's the um >> 7107 fund >> 317 actually. Uh yeah, 2710. 37. Yeah, that should actually be go bond. >> Okay. Cuz I was like, dang, that money there that we could >> Yeah. >> And then we we do have um I'll go over that in just a minute, but we do have a

085new go bond um allocation as well. >> Yeah. Okay. That's all my questions. Sorry, but I had lots. Oh, >> I have just a few more. You're doing really good. >> Sure. Thank you. Okay. So, I had a a question on check number 30420. >> It's probably a rat, but it's Leonard Rouser for 100. Okay. Um, my test administrator for the best. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Oh, gotcha. Okay. Thank you. >> Yes. I'll get paid through that. I obviously didn't know. >> Okay. Okay. And then this I have a question on the receipts just because of the date and just to help me understand on the cash receipts. There's one and I tried to go through these and I I'm sorry I couldn't find it but it was from the USDA >> and it in

086October but it's dated August. >> That's how far back it takes them to to reimburse us for our food services. >> Okay. Okay. I totally understand. Okay. Um, let's see. >> So, do we still have to submit the report that shows were free and reduced across the board and how many teachers and all that? >> What do you submit, Nicole? I know you do. >> Yes, ma'am. Um, I submit the um claims right >> every month. >> Yeah. Um however our free and reduce has fluctuated. Last year we were not completely free and reduced. Um okay so I had to you know make those adjustments and um this year we're back to being 100%. Okay. But still I always be okay. I understand that. I totally get that. Um, so I don't know if anybody

087has any other questions on the in the weeds or I know I'm going more big picture. Do you >> I have one more thing I need to tell Vicki. Vicki, I finally called the bat and told them to take me off. >> And Hannah said she's called them multiple times. I hope it happens. He called me today. >> Sounds like Wells Fargo stuff for 50 years. >> Okay. Do you have a question? >> So based on some of the agenda items that we have for discussion and action um and maybe I'm putting a part of horse if I am Brenda just tell me. So where are we sitting? just looking at it big picture through the end of October financially as far as budget and wiggle room. So when you look on the page two

088in terms of SEG we have about $170,000 that is not like encumbered or already expensed. Um, so the line item 4,000 is where we've basically put the they put the cash balance, the reserve, but if the incumbrances come true, um, the way they are right now, uh, that number is actually going to go down to 170,000. So I see that we have about 170,000 available from this year's budget. Um, something to be consider considering though is what is our goal for having a cash balance. We ended last year with about $230,000. That's that cash in that line 4,000. Um, so based on our our um SEG, we probably want to have 3 to 5% of that is an ending cash balance. is is generally a prudent a prudent number. So, um I would say um

089at three our SEG is at about $3 million >> times 5% that's about $150,000 we want to make sure we're carrying over from year to year to help with cash flow so we don't have any cash flow problems. Um, that being said, uh, which doesn't leave us a whole lot. That being said though, are we going to spend all of those incumbrances? That's the bigger question. Um, is is that really are those really going to come to fruition at that level? Um, and that's something we I'd have to look at a little more in detail and get with Randa to see and see what if there's wiggle room in some of those incumbrances. >> That's your question. It does. But I know we have and I understand everybody's been super busy, but we have action

090items. They're possible action discussion with possible action, but I know that there's some of these we need to move on um just to keep things rolling and going in the right direction that we all want them to go if we have the funds to do so. Um, >> so when you look at the other, so taking number two on the possible action items off of the agenda, let's just off of this conversation. Um, because elementary teacher probably would come out of of operations. However, we just recognize that title one hasn't been spent. That could be a good chunk of their salary. So, if it's allowable in our application or if we can submit um an um a a revision to our application if it's not in our application, that's a possibility to help share the

091cost and that would be huge. Um but looking at items three through uh five, those could be different res funding sources. So, it doesn't have to come out of 11,000. We have the safety and security funding, the 100,000 that I'll be presenting here in a little bit. We also have um let me go down a little bit more. We also have some uh facilities um funding that is not encumbered in when you look at like 312, that's the 100,000 that we just were just getting. if you accept it. 314 has 50,000. We have about 118,000 in 31701. Those are all capital projects that we can do. Um we can help pay for some of these out of that, >> right? >> Yeah. So, well, and I I know you had already shared just earlier that

092you and Rando would need to visit further, but do you feel that tonight we can make some of these decisions? >> Yes. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. Very good. Then we'll we'll as we get to those items, we'll have those conversations. Okay. >> All right. Cool. Thank you. Thank you, ma'am. >> You're welcome. Thank you, guys. I move uh to accept payroll and bills. >> Motion be made seconded to accept payroll and bills. All those in favor? >> I. >> All those opposed. All right. Budget adjustment request. >> Yes, I just have one. Um but I do want to talk about the go bond agreement first. um I can't do a budget adjustment request until the board accepts this and we sign off on it. So um it is another $5,522 and it's um strictly for

093library audiovisisual um upgrades and resources. So, we have that one. And then we also have um a special appropriation as all all eleas do. Our percent our portion is $100,000 and um it can be used for safety and security. It can be used for CTE. Um, and it's $100,000. And that is the bar 0004-I. Um, which is an increase because we already have a small amount of money in this fund, this 312000. That's why it's an increase. So, >> yeah, with that, I'll stand for questions. that I mean I have if we're it says safety and security can our fence be part of that >> 100%. >> That's what I thought but I want to ask >> how much was it? >> 100,000 right >> portion of it. >> I haven't seen the >> No,

094no, not the fence. >> No, no, no, no, no, no. What? What's the award? our 100,000. And we do need to discuss what that's going to look what we want to use it on because we do have to fill in just a generic uh description before it gets signed off on. And can we can we do it as one motion to accept the bars or do we have to do that as a separate accept the award and then do the bar? Two separate You can do them together cuz it's the it's the coordinating bar, coinciding bar that goes with the award. >> Uh well, I did ask Nick to help with a verbiage on that. So, whenever you guys have what you want to do, that way it's outlined and proper. >> Verbage. Okay. >>

095And then he said he would gladly help and then I'll have your sign. We have till November 28th, right? So, I I think we need to see if you can send us a deal from the fence guy. Did he send it to you? >> Yes. It's about $388,000. >> And Oculus was that was $388,875,000. And we do have our oculance guys on here as well. Good afternoon everyone. >> Hi there. How are you >> doing? Good. Um I can share the quotes as well as go over the the scope associated with it. Um I wanted to to cover everything that's included and and really what the project was because it's more than just the geoence that we're doing. Um and I think it would really help if I explained the different line items within the

096quote. Would that work for you guys? >> Yeah. Let's wait till you're about fifth in line down there. No, you're third or fourth on the agenda. So, we'll get to you in just a minute. >> Yes. >> No problem. Thank you. >> Okay. So, what's your adjustment request? >> I move to approve. Second. >> Are you Are you going to make your motion to approve acceptance and the bar? Yeah. Well, said we've just done just been done. >> Motion been made and seconded to approve the budget adjustment request. All those in favor? >> I. >> All those opposed? Passed. All right. Where to the principal's report? Principal superintendent slash >> director. SP. >> Okay. Those were some pretty good number. >> Yeah, we did lose um a family of four and a family of two.

097So that impacted our numbers. Um and I don't know if you guys have any questions. Um, I do want to add a couple minutes um that I spoke with David with CES Enley's requesting that after we have our November 19th strategic planning meeting that you guys also schedule or find a time to be able to meet with him. He said it would take um about four to five hours um to go through uh work through vision, mission, core values, three to five goals. Um and that would be the after that you did plan. >> So that strategic planning meeting is November what? >> 19th, right? >> Yes. >> 19th. That's next Tuesday. Uh when >> yes or Wednesday will go out today. >> Tomorrow because I spoke with David with CES to make sure all

098the verbiage was still correct on the initial letter that got sent out. Um just so everybody's aware that. >> Okay. >> Um and I did um so in there I had talked about also um I requested support from the Mexico Historic Preservation Division. Um I did get a response back today. Um, and so they kind of gave me an outline of what I need to do um, in regards to removing the rock building from the historic building. Um, I would like your all's assistance with um, writing that proposal and providing supporting documentation. Um, you know, just because you guys have more experience with the cost of of what everything has looked like previously. Um, and that way I can get sent over to them for removal. Um and then uh with the PSFA um that

099application was submitted and then like I mentioned earlier, we did get a letter an email from them saying that it was that the U letter was received. >> I'm sorry. And what are what are you wanting to get at help from us from on writing the historic >> rock building off the historical >> as far as as just to make sure I understand what what you need from us. Um just assistance with uh like documentation and basically reasoning as to why we want to take it. >> Oh, gotcha. Registry. I have to write a proposal to them. And so I think with you guys having previous experience with like the cost of how much everything cost, I would appreciate it. >> I'm sitting here thinking going, "Oh my god." Um, that was such a long

100time ago. Do they have anything when we put it on the registry? Do you know? >> Um, I can ask um if what they occurred. >> I just know we did, we were not able to do anything to that building like replaced the windows and it was, you know, the cost of renovating it was a lot less than if we had not put it on historical registry. Let me put it that way. Okay. But as far as >> funings, did did they get funding? >> We had we didn't have funding for the historical piece. we had funding um and I don't remember if we had if it was all capital outlay monies which is 33 3100 funds way back when I'm pretty sure it was I don't think we you know it was all the

101mill levy it was all bond it wasn't if I remember correct it kind of slipped since then you guys I just remember we weren't able to do a lot of things like when we turned it into a cafeteria and made those two classrooms and then the Tony's classroom or the three classrooms I should say and renovated made the bathrooms ADA compliant and all that. >> Oh is there were a lot of things we couldn't do. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Because it wasn't necessarily the cost associated just a lot of and this is just my time on here. Well, we can't do that because of this. we can't do that because we could maybe do this. And so that was what we always ran into, >> right? It wasn't a matter of the cost. It was

102a matter of we can't touch, >> right? >> And that's kind of the the problems that we're having is like with electrical and gas and things like that. Um, you know, Miller Bond has been very good to help us out in certain areas. >> Yeah. >> Um, but I think if they had more leeway, then it would help out tremendously with like needed improvements for things that do not work in there. Exactly. So, >> have you got any issues with any of the constituents of the the area if we try to remove it? They thought we were crazy when we did it. >> Oh, okay. Okay. >> For the most part, >> they didn't want it tore down. >> And there was a handful, which honestly, they're probably all gone. >> Yeah. that didn't want

103it like messed with in any way, shape, or form. They're not around anymore. >> I mean, I I get it. The sentimental, you know, Mark says he remembers going to school in that building. Um, and he was on the board and I I because I remember we having this discussion like why are we doing this? We need to fix it. And then, you know, I think the sentiment sentimental value overruled fixing it, you know, doing things that we should do. So, I guess my suggestion, Rand, is call them and ask them. It wasn't a matter of cost. It was a matter of what we can't do and see what what we need to do to like write that up. You know what I'm saying? Because it really wasn't the cost of it. was what we

104what we weren't allowed to do like replace the windows. Um tear in the walls to put good, you know. >> Yeah. There was something heating heating and cooling. Um the holes you can drill into the rock. >> Yeah. And you can't drill into the rock. We had issues with the ceiling because we couldn't change it. We finally able to change it. It's hidden. And I don't think it's leaked since then. Not really. Not like it had in the past where we'd have hail piled up a foot and then it all melted and we just be pouring down the walls and through the roof and and it was we just throw up our hands and go why can't we do something? >> Yeah. I think the big thing just going through like when the kitchen to

105up and the kitchen like we're very limited >> be able to run gas lines and electrical lines. >> Well, it's panels full like We've given you an answer. >> Know that that helps to be able to get a list of what we can't do to put that in our proposal of this is why we need and we can't >> electrical, we need plumbing, the roof, um those leaflets, the windows, it's so hard to heat, cooling, all of those things are an issue and they and they've been an issue. >> Then we're going to have to look at whether we >> remember like you said, Travis, you say, "Oh, no, we can't do that. We need to do this, but we can't because of, you know, how much money we actually want to put into it

106before we, you know, if we're going to build a new school, we'll have a new cafeteria in with that. So, >> I still think it's a really cool building, right? >> I was to keep it upkeep. >> I will say the mini splits work really well. They flipped the switch and the heater has been coming on and actually killed all of my plants in my classroom. So, it's getting really warm up there. >> Good. Okay. >> All right. Nice and toasty. So yeah, because I noticed there was gas leak in the rock building and >> Yeah. >> Oh my god, it's just it's like one thing after another. So >> they finally found it. That was good. >> So the scoreboard is being delivered. I think it's earlier than what we initially thought. Good. >>

107Unless I forgot the date. >> I think I think it stayed the same. Oh, did it? Yes. >> Okay. >> So we're going to have somebody said earlier. So, we'll have a boys basketball team and a junior high team. >> Yes. >> Girls and boys junior high, right? >> So, okay. >> Separate. Yeah. >> So, >> Oh, okay. Cool. That's That's awesome. >> Junior high. Girls and junior high. When the schedule's going to be ready when >> I bet that's great. >> All right. Anything else, Miranda? >> No, this was good, Brand. >> Yeah, this was awesome. I was like, yippee. >> Yeah, you you >> All right. And the director's report was pretty short and sweet, too. >> Yeah. Well, I was in here a lot already. >> Um, there was a backlog, but

108we do have our nursery license. Uh, with that, um, I think wheels are turning for expansion and future planting by our third grade teacher, >> but their emerilus bulbs are planted and that is underway. Um, Kathy's working their food handlers card for their project based learning. So, we have both of those um are underway. Amy's is taking a little bit longer to get a hold of the historian, but I think we've got that lined up, too. >> Oh, good. That's a great I forgot one thing, Randa. You said you expected a third quote by 12 ever get on a >> No. Um I haven't got it. Um I spoke to the guy um yesterday and he said um so they work with another company to remove the asbestous and he apparently on the report it

109said chalk and so the guy was a little confused on where the asbestous was at. So he was just waiting for that guy to be able to send us a quote. Um but he said that he didn't think that it would be over 60K which I was very surprised about. >> Thanks. I'm sorry, Amanda. I just before we move too far on Okay. Um Rand and I have been discussing about when to take those high school teachers to Rosco. That got a little bit on hold because they uh are changing directors of CEN. Um Rachel left them and is is going to a different location. So, they're working on directors. So, that they want to make sure that they've got everything lined up for us. So, that was that's what put that on hold a

110little bit. Um, we are piling some new math curriculum before we adopt uh for next school year, trying some different things out. Um, which obviously doesn't always make parents and students super happy, but um, they seem to be learning and and Mrs. Pound's working very hard to make sure they're understanding and meeting those standards. And then I just got back from an a mechanics professional development um, so that I knew uh, the skills that those kids are supposed to be learning and they were covering the right topics. So I can successfully wire switches although I'm not licensed so I can't put them in school. >> She did say too by going that she got a lot of equipment and tools to be able to use. >> Yeah. So through this whatever uh grant that they

111got for this professional development. Well I have to make a list of tools. So I'm going to sit down with the boys and then they're going to we've got a certain amount that we can spend and then tools. So kind of cool. Yeah, >> cool. So, how was the I mean, I know we just did the work for solutions thing today. >> Um, that was aimed at your kids, right? Or at high school kids. >> I think it was aimed towards the project as well, prek through 12 and actually P20. >> They're they're saying P20 all the way to uh >> So, it was a good presentation. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. >> Cool. Yay. I just wish that like Harland >> and a few others would have been here. The those are the guys.

112This is just my opinion. Our legislation folks need to hear like what this is >> and how it functions and and who's doing it and what it looks like because 400 and I'm not trying to be a negative Nelly because I've had this conversation with workforce and the secretary um before we left. I I said, "I'm not complaining. I'm so grateful. Please don't take it that way." But I said, "We all know 400,000 between multiple systems is pocket change." And if the hook is put out there and this is not successful because of funding, this is very that would be very sad. I said, I I'm hopeful that we get the right people involved and it's, you know, up to all of us in this room to to try to communicate that when the time

113is to designated 1.7 million weren't they? So I have a question >> by the legislature to that >> it was more than that 17 million >> and then >> yeah there was a big number and then they whoever decided I don't guess the secretary decided to give them 400,000 or whatever to out of the allocation to start cuz see that money was given to them with no very little boundaries other than >> very positive >> and that yeah that's what was said by the Grady guy you know there's not very many times that you get something from peed or the legislatores where there's not a 100,000 limitations and you got to do this and jump through this hoop. They just wanted it. >> Oh yeah. >> Okay. So, let me ask you guys this. Did

114they say where they were going next? >> Were they going to have another meeting somewhere? So, so um secretary um was going to email um because I I told I asked her I said if you could pick a a person or a group who do we need to be targeting to make this thing successful based on allocations and she was throwing out acronyms at me and Lac LFC legislative finance committee. >> No, the education I think education. Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. Um and she said two names. Y'all probably recognize them. I should have um written them down, but she wants to have another meeting. She's going to be emailing you, Randa. Um I didn't have a business card, which it needs to come to you anyway. Um and uh so you might if you don't

115hear from them in several weeks, reach out to whomever you have in your system to see uh maybe her specifically or and I've forgotten the workforce solution um little gal that has the long brown hair, Stacy. >> Um and so those were the two ladies that I was visiting with before I left. And so, um, yeah, that, you know, we just, she's worried about that also. >> And I know it's not just the the state. I know it's a it's a effort. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is a an effort between the community, the the state, and of course I know um they're helping us at Rosco kind of get some stuff done too as far as grants and this that and the other, but um so I know it's not it's it's

116a multiple, you know, team effort type deal, but and this is just my two cents. I think that because I've been thinking about this ever since this, you know, how would Corona, it's going to be a reach. I get it. But with the wind people leaving, we're going to have some things go dork. we know that unfortunately um that have been thriving um and I hope I'm wrong and I don't want to offend anyone that has the business, but the laundry mat might be something that isn't used as often once all those folks late. Yeah. Um who knows what's going to happen with our sweet little grocery store. Um you know, those are just some things that that I I thought of. how can the timing of us being able to have some of those

117facilities >> if we can make that work. But that I mean I might be getting ahead of myself and then how I'm thinking but >> yeah and that's something especially after we got back from Rosco you know our wheels were turning about um how to get like the old store back up and going or um >> reusing that space for something or using the pharmacy space for something. Um, we've got all these wonderful historic buildings on Main Street that people love to see and want to keep going. And so, how do we bring something into those spaces that keeps Yeah. >> Yeah. But I'm thinking we should probably reach out and I can do it to Harlon and so and the other person I was thinking of he doesn't work there anymore but he was

118the head of legislative finance committee and David Abby he's related to Roxanne >> so I he probably has a wealth of knowledge that he'd be willing to share and say okay you probably need to call this person call this person you know >> he knowled he's very knowledgeable and I and he and he'll take phone calls, but I would ask Roxan to help you on that one. But David Abby was I was very sad to see him retire, but you know, everybody has to retire in general meetings and so he's pretty excited about these things. So hopefully and I don't remember which one if he's with LC or at least. >> Yeah. >> But I I you know, but however we can help, let us know. Yes. Yes. So, I this is what I was

119telling the the ladies. Um we need to get those folks to whichever school actually has something that they can see and touch and talk to those kids >> and let them see what's happening and that will speak more than what any of presentation. >> Yeah, that is huge and that will sell it. >> That's just my opinion. Anyway, that was my take away from it. Barbara question. >> All right. >> Right. >> Public comment. >> Okay. >> Um, I would like to thank the board for letting me speak, but I would also like to as a parent I know and Steph there was a big change in the admin office. I would really like to thank the admin team. I think they have really done an amazing job taking on that big responsibility. I know

120America did get just thrown in there, you know, she's learning, but I think she's done an amazing job. I appreciate her taking that day at school very seriously and giving our kids that time to get better and making it a priority for our children's health and safety. Um, so I do want to thank the board for letting me speak, but I also want to know that I think our admin team has taken this big game and done amazing things and have been keeping our school. >> I think she's done an amazing job. She's taken teachers responses, you know, to heart. She's done everything she can to keep the school with the change and everything that I think our ad has really stepped up and done an amazing job under the circumstance. >> Well, we see

121we see it from think she had much toys but I did. Yes, you did. >> Yeah. >> I think it was >> say I walked since you brought this up and thank you for your comment comments. Um, I I was going to say when I walked in here, when I walked into the school and opened the doors, this the first time and and I think I can say this, it it actually smelled good in the school. It and I don't I'm not trying to be hateful or or ugly, but I was like, >> it smells really good. Okay. >> All right. Let's get into the action items and get to the acting superintendent. I need a motion to make Randa the acting superintendent. >> I so move. Second. >> Motion been made in second to

122make Randa and seniors our super our acting superintendent with all the duties that go with that. All those in favor? >> I. >> All those opposed. All right. discuss possible action to budget amendment for the elementary teacher and uh can we put Vicki back on? >> Okay. I have I have a question though on Rand's deal because it's not on here but we need you need to be paid as a super >> Oh yeah. >> That's not on here. >> That isn't on here. >> That that's not right. >> We talk talked about that. >> Yeah. >> We'll have to get that on >> Vicki. How can we do that? >> So, you need to get that contract negotiated and um it has to be a public approval of the contract. So, >> Yeah, it

123has to be but we can back pay. You can also back backdate it. So, >> let's make sure >> it does need to be approved on your next board meeting. >> I thought Yeah. >> Yeah. I forgot all about that. >> We need it under December meeting. >> Sorry, we missed that. But at least you you're not going to be like some of the federal workers. So at least you're still get paid. >> Okay. Thanks, Vicki. Appreciate that. Because I was like, dang. All right. >> Okay. Discussion the budget amendment for the elementary teacher. Do we >> What do we need to do there, Vicki? Anything or have we just have we kind of >> this your request? This This wasn't didn't come from me, so I need to hear it, too. >> Yeah. So

124um from teachers who have uh requested this, they've also sent um like emails to the board um regarding assistance um in say the position in one of our ele elementary has the one that I talked to you about there where there's two grade levels combined but with a membership ship of the lower level. You said that we probably wouldn't >> I don't know if you remember that conversation. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, we just don't have that we don't have the budgeted item for it because of the membership. Um so, that position was there was not an extra position put into the budget. >> Correct. >> But we can amend that. Correct. Well, you can always allocate funding for that and that's where um I was saying >> yeah, you can you can use

125title one. I mean, that would be um we might have to amend or revise our our application, but that could help pay for it. But there a a teacher, a full-time teacher, um if they're a level two and take benefits is going to be right around $100,000, $110,000 a year. Um if they're a level three, of course, that goes up. Level one, it goes down a little bit by about $10,000. So, um >> bless you. Thank you. >> But we only have to pay them for half a year. >> Correct. Correct. >> So I move >> Okay. Go ahead. >> You do. >> Okay. Um because you know we do have a difficult time like finding people as it is and we have been very lucky with the three that we have right now. Um

126my suggestion would be that we kind of do like a monastery model and either do like prek through two 32 um or K through two. um kind of one of the issues that they're having with kindergarten is that they weren't they weren't ready for kindergarten. That was kind of the issue. Um and so if we did like a prek through two that would allow three certified teachers and an EA to work with those students. So if you have higher level students, they're not necessarily placed like in grade level because a few of your second grade students are lower level. you know, I'll get a few of your first grade or higher levels. So, they would be rotating throughout those three teachers based on their levels >> type of thing. Um, I have talked to the

127teachers about it. They are pretty um receptive to that just because they kind of are struggling even, you know, there's only four in second grade still. You have so many that are low and so many that are high, some that are, you know, on grade level. And so, even that's pretty hard to teach. So if they could be placed on on levels with designated teachers that would be at least a little bit more easier to manipulate. >> So then that means we need what? We need another teacher or we need an EA. >> No, we we have um so we have a pre-K teacher, we have a a first second grade teacher, I mean a kinder one teacher and a second grade teacher. And then we already have an EA in there. >> So you

128just want to change the way they >> kind of like the format >> the Okay. Well, we don't need action on that. That's a >> that's Yeah, >> right. >> You don't kind of like to look at I know that that was something that um was brought to you to your all attention to, you know, to look into. So, I did want to provide that, >> you know, just >> but if we needed to, we could hire an elementary teacher for half a year. And we have the money because we have title one and we have uh operational money. I'm just not certain we have the money. >> Yeah. >> Sorry question. Can you use one money for that? >> Oh yeah money forever >> whatever you need to. >> We just don't tell anybody

129that the bond that makes sense. But yeah we can use win money for that. So um >> so >> this doesn't create any issues anywhere else. >> Um >> in regards to so if you so let's just use a scenario so you have based on the comment of strong applicants hard to find for this area and we have some good ones. So, an example of say a couple, if one gets a position and the other doesn't, does that create a problem? >> No. But in regards to what you're >> You don't have to go into the weeds. That's a >> You don't We're good. Okay. >> Yeah. I think she was going to use her somewhere else. >> Yeah. Okay. >> I think she was happy with that >> as far as >> because I

130don't have a certified teacher down there, but they do have one over there. You've got it all. >> Yeah, we got >> She's got it all under. >> We just wanted to help you wherever we could to make things go like they needed to. Yeah. For for the kiddos and for you and to ease the all the emails that we got. >> Yeah. If that monastery deal where they can they can help them out. >> So I don't think have any possible action on >> No, because that's just >> okay. Now discuss possible action on the teacher. is >> you're still waiting. >> Um whatever you guys decide on like rent um the agreements um I know that you guys were looking at adjusting that. Um and so whenever you guys finish that, that way

131I can move forward in the firing process. If you want to leave them as is, that's up to you guys. But I know it um I don't think I was at the last one. one before um where you had an individual come in um and discuss a teach um you guys had spoke on looking at >> looking at the agreements. I'm not 100% sure on adjusting those but um rent if that was going to be taxed if it was going to be included in their salary. Um what what that looked like for you guys. >> So we need to make a decision on what we're going to do with any teachers in the teacher. No. >> Well, we're going to >> even the ones down on Skidro. >> The one that they are they liveable.

132>> The one that So, that's um that's the one that I have a new circuit board coming in to >> Yeah. I feel like >> cuz what's the rent? >> 400 and it was Vicki. How is that? We can't we we didn't ever make a motion to blow up this uh No, we didn't. Plus also too, Vicki, we have never charged anybody for those, >> but >> I think we need to ask our auditor too. Yeah, >> cuz it needs to be I've always thought it has to be there has to be something because it's a benefit living in a teacher. If it's not at market at market value, it potentially could be, but I can ask the auditor what we need to do. I know it's never been done. 400 is very inexpensive. Um

133the other thing that we discovered potentially is that we had not been collecting deposits from um from our renters as well. >> And that's something that we have to do moving forward. We need to put that as part of our practice moving forward. >> Agreement. What do do other schools that you know of do they I guess they charge for their teacheres? And >> Yep. And >> they do and and a lot of the rural districts do it under under what would typically be market value. It's a recruitment and retention tool. >> Right. Right. >> Um Right. >> So it makes it affordable living. Um but do we need to put it as a benefit? It could be. I need to ask the auditor about that. >> And I I always felt like it wasn't

134a benefit because they really >> they needed them. >> They weren't they were here and they were substandard housing. >> But the wood now that we have is not you know houses >> is not well the deal we had with him is that he was a janitor extra janitor. But I mean going forward, >> but going forward I think we need to that needs to be because we own it. >> He was just on the space. >> Well, and he but initially he bought the house. >> Yeah, he bought the house. Yeah. And just sat on your property. >> So that one >> Yeah. But now we own the whole thing. So I do think that it should be a benefit. I think they either it comes out of their paycheck or they do something

135to compensate. So, >> and we just need to be consistent. We just need to have consistent practices. Yes. >> Yes. >> So, >> for actual for the actual teachers that are >> there was a copy one I think it was one copy that we looked at several meetings ago. Um agreement agreements, but it was never and it wasn't you, >> but there was going to be one sent to us. It was never sent to us to my knowledge. >> No, I never saw. So, could someone send us like an examp when do you need >> and they're going to this may be diff and I know Vicky I hear her consistency. >> Yes. >> But what we have now this one's way different than the others. So that's going to be a different type of

136>> we can always go back and change you know I mean amend amend >> when I say consistency it's just more about like if they have these features or this type this is what we do and I mean because I know they have different um the rentals are different right and some are worth more and not substandard living and so I think as long as we define that and we stay consistent then we're being fair across the board. >> Agreed. Right. Okay. Yeah. So, can you send us if if any of those differ, can we see hopefully they're all the same, but can we make sure one all of them that we have they're all the same and that we've been doing things as far as as same practice based on the monthly rent, what

137have you, the language, and then once we know where to start from, then we can go there. Okay. Yes. And and their timing is it's like yesterday like yesterday, right? >> Um I did tell two people that I would contact them uh tomorrow. Um and so they kind of have until um December 1st is kind of what they're looking at. Um and then the other one is like January 1st. >> Okay. Okay. So, and you're needing to contact them to tell them yay or nay or how it's going to work. >> Yes. >> So, it sounds Yeah. Okay. So, the two uh would be one property and the one would be another property. >> Yes. >> Okay. So, it sounds the the one when do what is your deadline on that one? >> Um the

138one and that one would be um January like the 1st of January. >> So, it sounds like we need to get this one done first. And it will be a little bit different. Maybe not the the in the weeds language. Um I honest I think if you could give us a ballpark figure and then work out the tweaks of the agreements >> that would help them move. Well, I think that stay on the 400 and or are you thinking just um >> going to be two employees in that one home? >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> Nicer home, figure retain them instead of being 400. That should be like 800, but cut them a discount at 650 or something since there's two of them employed. >> Yeah. >> Anybody think of it like that? straight 600.

139I mean, what we do is sitting of president for >> because then we'll have to charge 600 for the >> The new ones coming down. >> What is Sorry, I don't live here. >> Oh, it's right now it's we can't raise that. >> They can get 12 and 1500 for >> 3,000,000. It's okay. So, >> but I mean before the wind >> I guess my question >> I don't That's what I was charging was 600 for that threebedroom. I mean, >> so I thought that was >> that was fair. >> I think to keep them and to get them to come here. >> I mean, I think we have a lot more to offer than that. But >> that's in line with those salaries though. >> Utilities they have to pay, right? >> But there's

140only propane and water. Is that that house is on propane? broken. It's not in the trash. They don't have the Well, I guess they Yeah, I guess they got them all. >> They just don't have >> They would say 600 and then they pay all the utilities. >> Vicki just sent the rental agreement that to you guys, too. Thank you, Vicki. >> Thank you, Vicki. >> Okay, so let's How does the board feel about this? So what if we say um 600 uh this could possibly change a little bit but in the first 12 months. Yeah. Um you know for right now it will be six. Now the thing has to look into is and I'm sure you know that's up to you guys. I'm good in you guys handling it and going with it.

141Whether it's a fringe or whether it's a whether we handle it some other way, that's up to you guys and however Vicki recommends that we handle it. Um if the rest of the world agrees with that, I if you guys are good, I'm good with 600 for the just as long as the the individuals know that it could possibly change after 12 months depending on where the market is and everything all the other variables. Like I said, I don't know what makes me. So I mean, well, like you heard her say level two is going to start at 100. >> Well, then that's a benefit. I should say are 55, 65, 75. >> Yeah. Tier one, tier two, tier three would be that should be perfect. >> Deposits like first and last month. I mean,

142>> yeah, >> because they'll need to know that too coming in. And how much do you want to do for that? >> Shoot down there. >> Nothing. >> Yeah. >> Well, they won't have to file. They won't have to pay the deposits because they're already there. But if we were to rent the new ones that we have down there, set a precedent collecting deposit. >> Is that what that's 400 down there? >> Oh, no. They never have had a deposit. And I didn't in the existing contract >> a deposit. >> We had we had started this year. Anybody new this year we did require the deposit. It is part of the rental agreement. What we weren't sure of was in the past um if deposits were collected. >> What's the does it give a percentage

143or a a monetary amount? It's one month's rent. >> Okay. Oh, okay. Okay. >> So, it's not first and last month's. It's just first month's rent and then >> and a deposit. >> 12 or $800. >> Correct. >> Well, there there are 400 now. I think we can charge over here. No, >> no, these people will have to come up with 1,200. But down there, they'll only have to come up with 800 because I don't feel like we can charge them 600 down there. Oh, you're saying for their first month. Okay, I'm with you. >> Okay, ladies. So, do you all need that? >> We need that in >> I would think. Yes. >> Yes. >> Just to protect them. >> Yeah. And so that >> and then we can always >> go look at

144the minutes >> and then we can go back and amend it if we have to. >> Okay. Uh, I make the motion uh that for the one teach the home um next to the school, the newer one, that the first 12 months of rent be stated at a monthly rent of 600 with a deposit upfront charged also of 600. And then >> and then the other Petriges um remain at 400 with a deposit a monthly rent of 400 uh with the possibility of change. uh with the one month deposit on new um tenants of for >> motion been made and seconded on the teaches to make the Johnson house 600 with a $600 uh dollar deposit. the old teaches to be 400 with a $400 deposit. All those in favor? >> Okay. >> All those

145opposed. >> Okay. That gets you some >> guidance. >> So, all right. >> I guess you probably already know this um folks, but just make sure they also know they're responsible for the utilities. I don't remember the way that reads up a grant. Okay, perfect. >> Thank you guys. >> Okay, Mr. Oculin, who do we have today? >> Uh, yeah, it's Hunter Waters. I was at the the board meeting. >> Oh, there you are. Yes, sir. Recognize you. >> Awesome. >> Good to to see you guys all again. Um, so I wanted to review a couple things with you because I think it would be important to understand the the whole scope and and what the different line items are within the job. Um, so if I share I'm going to share my screen. Um,

146are you able to to see that? >> Yes. >> Okay, perfect. So, there's there's a couple aspects to this project that I want to clarify. Um, the first aspect is covering the additional blind spots that are on the campus currently. Um, and so I have a couple of uh slides to show you on the map side and then I'll go through the the options for the alarm license on this one. At the front of the school, we'd be adding a multi- sensor on a pole as well as one of our pan tilt zoom cameras to really watch this main street that you get a lot of traffic on um and to get clear visibility going down both of the lanes. This camera can also be triggered by the additional cameras that you already have on

147campus as a context. So if someone were to walk by this camera, for example, and cross a line, this one will zoom in on them and follow them for a distance to get a clear picture of what's happening um regardless of where they move around campus. The other section is addressing the blind spots that are actually on the campus and behind it. Um, so there's a major blind spot in between the two buildings, the uh exterior hallway by the the main building as well as the one that I think is one of the most important ones is a blind spot by the parking lot and down the alleyway between the building and the um the basketball court. Um, and then also being able to cover the portable building that that might be removed. Um, and

148all essentially this allows us to uh encompass all of the um exterior lines where a gate could be or the the fence the virtual fencing that we're talking about as well. Now the the uh second part of this project is fixing the access control intercoms that we have uh deployed right now. So, this would be removing the the third party um intercoms and replacing them with Vicotta that has a camera associated with it. So, you can actually see who's buzzing in and then deciding whether or not to unlock that door. And I know we've been having major issues with the doors that were installed by another vendor. So, part of that would be uh fixing uh replacing and restriking um those electric strikes. Um and then the the part about the alarm license that I

149want to discuss the geo fencing u versus utilizing uh a physical fence. In no way, shape or form do I think having a physical barrier is a bad thing. Um I think that we should look at utilizing both on top of each other. Um now I know we're in a rural area and response times are really important. The the big portion of this is that we're actually going to get notified both internally and externally to the police if there is a breach. So regardless if you have a offense or not, this allows you to be aware of what's happening on campus. Um, one suggestion that I'd have on this is it it does have a large portion. It is a 10-year license associated with it. What we could potentially do is reduce the alarm license

150portion of the project down to a single year uh instead of a 10 years allow you guys to see the value of the system, the line crossing if it's going to provide the school with what it needs. um instead of going for the full 10 years of that, but still allowing us to do the project of filling in blind spots, fixing the access control um while bringing in the possibility use of um the uh virtual fencing and then we can uh you know make a decision if a physical barrier is necessary as well. Any questions on the the entire scope of the project or how uh we put this together? >> No, but what would the change in cost be going from a 10-year to one year? >> Yeah, great question. So, on the the

15110-year license, um with the discount that we were able to provide you, you're at $31,500 for the 10-year license. Um, going down to the single-year license, I was able to keep the the cost per year the same for you. So, it would only be $3,150 for the one-year license, bringing the total for the the Vicotta hardware software down to $60,548.30 versus the $88,898.30. That's the fence and the cameras and everything. Yep. So, this includes access control fix, which the intercoms that you're having major issues with, the blind spot, uh the cameras, and uh utilizing the virtual fence, we can get the verata portion, the hardware software down to 60,500. Now, I also want to make sure that you're aware the the Garcom portion, the people who would be installing it locally there, um they have

152their side of it for the actual installation. This is where Oculance comes in. I would design the system, the alarms, the triggers, make sure the intercoms are working properly on the back end. So, you're really getting a two-tiered support with a um X Forcado employee designing and maintaining the system as well as uh certified installers putting it in um properly across the board on the various project types. >> Is there a cost was it in that bid cost you can you go to your other one for the the install? There you go. Yeah, >> I can >> zoom in. You're at um >> the 54,000. >> Okay. 60 and 50 60,000. >> We did ask two. So, I did ask um Stacy who's in charge of all of our tech to come on. So, you

153guys have any questions regarding that? >> Um and he's also the one who spoke with um the individual from Silver >> Silver City. Yeah. And I saw that. I I read that. So that was but to kind of give his input too because they're also going to be so overse. >> So Stacy, are you still on? >> I am. >> I would kind of like to hear what you think about this proposal, please. >> Can you hear me? Okay. I'm having >> Yeah, now I can. I'm relying on Starlink right now. Um, I mean, it see it seems like great technology. Verata cameras and stuff, they've always been pretty high-end. Um, it would be nice to get the alerts like he's speaking up when someone, you know, after hours or in the middle of the

154night crosses that boundary. Um, physical fence is always a nice thing, too. I agree that both could be useful. Um I I've never I mean the the reviews and the from the two different people that we got were you know very positive. Um one question I have was did did both of those installs use that Garcom as the installer. >> Uh Silver City has used Garcom. Um the St. Surreal we did ourselves um in Arizona. So, Silver City has utilized Garcom and then St. Surreal was a self install from our local team. >> Okay. Okay. But they seem very happy with it. Um, you had also asked about um generators to keep this thing online for, you know, extended periods of time and I've reached out to to Generrack and they keep telling me they're

155going to, you know, pair me up with people that could give bids on it, but they have not found one yet. So, I'm still waiting on that. But, >> well, Stacy, uh, just on that, since we're on the genre, um, Crystal Fuentes is the, um, she's a head of the, I don't know, she does all the bookkeeping for Zeon natural gas and they are a dealer for Genrack >> and they get May electric. So, you might reach out. I know Rand already did. We did. >> Oh, okay. again. Um it is over >> it is over the 60,000. So I did reach out to a couple more people. Um I did get a call back from that's the only thing is that they're out of the ones that are on the CES website are from

156Albuquerque. Um and so I did reach out I reached out to DBL. >> Yeah. >> Those people to get quotes. >> Oh, okay. But I just wanted Stacy to know that there's >> Oh, well that's good. Yeah. I mean, sounds like you've already got it going, so I won't worry about it so much on that part. >> Yeah, thank you. >> But, I mean, the system overall seems like a nice, very nice system. Um, I've never seen it in action. I've never had a geo fence at any of our other districts that we support, but I mean, like I said, I have seen some of the ricotta technology and it's usually very high-end, so I'd assume this is the same. >> Okay. Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> I appreciate it. Stacy question for you

157and I'm not trying to, you know, put you on the spot. Um, but you're familiar with the demographics, the schools in in this district, being very rural, and and you're also a techie guy. Um, so based on the response time, even though the technology Sounds amazing. Okay. But because of our other concern of of the timing, so we're alerted. That's great. Probably would know beforehand with this type of fence than the hard, you know, built fence as far as when there was a breach that they're they're in. Um, and they're already moving about, you know, the premises. So, what is your opinion on on that issue? Um, from my military background, I like a hard fence. I mean, that's, you know, I'd like both technology and defense. You know, it's it's affordability, I'm sure. But,

158uh, but yeah, I like a physical barrier, especially if people are on campus. You know, another thing in my mind and I, you know, I wish we could have them both because because this sounds really technology and I don't I have experience with where I paint them in the utility and they are great and we are using the technology and our substation. So I I know it's a good technology but I guess I'll just have that concern of you want to discern it. We want to deter people first and foremost. >> Yeah. And yeah and then secondly in that area. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Generator. >> Yes. >> The generator. I know that you'll get back into it like right now if we just want that where the fence. >> Yeah, cuz the guy with

159M electricity did come look. He found a perfect spot to be able to put it where everything was. He had done the facility before like I guess he went to school here at some point in time and so he know of a perfect place to put it like how I mean. Yeah. Okay. What about um so is there based on the and I know we're kind of going down a rabbit trail now, but the placement of the generator, can you also put a propane? I'm assuming it's going to be gas. So there's a place for that to get and it's not a safety issue or anything like that. Okay. Gotcha. Okay. A spot where it's right next to the electrical stuff and also right next to the gas. >> Okay. Yeah. Gotcha. >> So, do

160we have any more questions for Ocul? So, um, one part I do just want to make sure that, um, I touch on is that this one, the second quote, this is the the portion for the alarms, the geoence. It's $3,150. The the rest of the quote is for patching the the access control and the blind spots within the campus. Uh, on top of it, um, I just want to make sure that, uh, I clarified that portion for you guys. needs to be done. >> And and I just want to say if we decide not to go this route, we we appreciate you all and we know this is probably a really great technology in my opinion for a school that has uh police more readily available um than what we do. That's just my opinion

161and I know your technology is great. So I just want you to know that. So, we've got there's two different there's two different things on there. We need the >> cameras the cameras upgrading >> to support the the right and and then added cameras because we have so that's the only thing that we would not do if we decide is the virtual event the other >> the 3000 >> that's just the 3000 that's the ge everything else is to cover the endstone of those cameras for those just That's the license because we already have everything else installed or will with the cameras. >> Correct. >> Mhm. >> Correct. Yeah. So, the only the only the license right here, the one-year advanced alarm videos for 3,150. That's the the geo fencing portion, and that's on a

162one-year license. Everything else on this quote and the Garcom install quote are to fill in the blind spots and fix the problems with the access control that you currently are experiencing uh today. >> All right. Okay. >> Thank you. >> Yeah, of course. >> Just to make sure I'm clear. Sorry. So reduce the license. Okay. on the geo fencing just the now we're looking at 3,000 for just the fence. So you take the full license off and then adjust it by the the one year. You add all those figures together and it comes out to have the total. What's the >> What's the total? >> I can do it for you really quick if you want and show you the exact price without the license. Do you want me to do that really quick? >>

163Yeah. Show us the modified quote and adjusting the license with or without the fence. >> Absolutely. Give me 30 seconds and I'll get it for you right now. >> Sure. >> The install the installs almost as much as as the equipment. >> Yeah. Yeah. And I know that Stacy had mentioned like the issue was with APEC and how all of that was put in there and installed. And >> so that's what we're kind of having to like >> we're trying to fix now. They have not cashed their second check. I don't know if that money I don't know. >> It wasn't issued. It was issued but they never cashed it. >> Was it CES at least? >> They should have never caught it. >> It's still outstanding as far as I understand. That might be

164a Vicky question. That might be a Vicki question. That's my understanding. Is it that second payment? >> So tell me, I'm sorry. What was the question about? >> Did you hear the whispers? >> I just heard that's a Vicki question. >> The second payment to APE that we sent to CES. >> Did they cash it? >> Is it? >> We We don't have any checks outstanding for a to CES. So then they did >> and we didn't owe anything. We cancelled that PO. So whatever was paid last year is it. Nothing else is outstanding. >> So I was going to say if it was still outstanding, we need a stop payment on it. >> So here's the total for you guys. This is with the geo fencing completely removed the on the ocular side and

165this is with the the one GPA purchasing contract uh the federal purchasing contract $57,396.30 >> and that's without the the alarms completely removed from the equation. Let me take this out. >> Which means the virtual fence, right? >> The vent. >> Correct. Yeah. >> Okay. >> But then that 3,000 would be an annual. We would have to to pay that annually, wouldn't we? >> Correct. If you wanted to do the geo fencing, um, you would pay it annually or you could pay a 10-year license for it. Um, the other thing that I can I'd have to twist some arms at my old company, but I could probably get you guys a trial of the geoence for 30 to 90 days um before we did anything along that lines. I'd have to go convince a couple

166people to allow me to turn it on, but I could accomplish that for you guys as well and let you try it for 90 days before you decide to purchase any amount of time on that alarm license. And that would be great. Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Trade like even do like a crisis crisis thing, you know, like become like what are you talking about? Assuming if you were to do both like the trial idea that would be on the exterior this geo fence would be on the exterior of our hard built. So we would know based on how that could be set up. We would know before they actually tried to pry into the fence or jump the fence or we would we would know I'm assuming that would be the setup.

167>> Yeah. So there's a a couple different ways we can design it and it really has to do with when we sit down and I start um implementing the system for you. There's two major types of alerts that pop up on the geoence. There's line crossing meaning when someone breaches a barrier we don't want them to breach that triggers it or loitering in a specific area. So and we can stack those on top of each other. So essentially we can draw a line crossing on a hard stop where we don't want anyone and then if someone is hanging out in the parking lot for more than you know call it 30 seconds we can you know customize that timeline that can trigger a separate alarm. And so a big portion of designing systems like that

168is making sure you have coverage along all the areas where people could potentially cross the line or um hang out. And so let's say, for example, someone is hanging out down this street for more than, let's say, three minutes. That might be a trigger depending on your current situation. Or if they cross this line over here by the basketball court after 6 p.m., that's a trigger. And it can alert internal staff via text message, email, or push notification. And then if it is a specific area, let's say here, and we definitely don't want anyone crossing this line, my team, let's say it's three in the morning, my team will review that, make sure it's an actual uh person coming across that shouldn't be there. And then that's when we can dispatch police and verify that

169you're not going to get charged for false response because we're actually physically verifying that someone's crossed that barrier and they shouldn't be there. and we actually need police on site. So, you're not going to run into any false alarm um type scenarios on this platform. Um and I think it would be excellent to have a 90-day trial of this. I just have to um kind of push the envelope over Apricotta to get that for you guys. The only place where you're not going to have a really wide is right here along that teacher parking lot because that physical fence has to go between the sidewalk and that retaining wall. So, you're already on a city sidewalk. You can't have a large >> Where was it, Amanda? I'm sorry. >> Uh by the teacher parking lot

170in the upper lot. And that that fence is going to go between right along the sidewalk. So you're not going to have a huge barrier where you could have what you're envisioning somebody oh I'm stopping somebody before they get to the fence only because that's already out on a city sidewalk. So if they're walking down the sidewalk, it's going to be alerting it all the time if you set it two feet. >> If that makes >> But if somebody starts banging on or starts trying to get in through the fence, it's going to go off >> because you probably have it set right on top of the fence or just inside a little bit >> out to the street, but you could put it on either side of the fence over there on the wall.

171>> Yep. And that's why we use both line crossing as well as loitering. And I'm I will go into the system and design it for you guys um to avoid those situations and make sure that we have adequate um coverage in the right location. So on that area that you're talking about, we would utilize a line crossing instead of loitering. And then on the loitinger side, we could set it to a high threshold. So it has to be over x period of time before it sends that internal alert. And then we can have different responses based on the alert that's tripped. So a loitering alert will trip an alarm that maybe goes internal. And then we can all you have to do is pull up your cell phone, open the text message, and you see

172the footage or on the the email. And then if it's a line crossing that's closer interior to the school, that's when it can have the immediate emergency response uh with the uh trained individuals who's actually dispatching based on criteria, right? So we can reach out to you said all sorts of different responses. And the important part on a system like this is that it's getting designed by someone who understands it um and has deployed it in the past because you can have the best technology in the world, but if it's not configured properly, it's not going to operate the way you need it to. And that's really where Oculance comes in into the the game for that. >> Oh yeah, true. And we're down. >> Okay, cool. Thank you. >> Yeah, of course. >> Okay,

173all we got to do is come up with $500,000 both. >> We got $100,000. >> Yeah, ready. >> Okay, we need 400 more. >> It's not going to happen. >> No, I think we have it between capital monies and win monies. She do it. What do you think, Vicki? She's shaking her head because us with that 388. >> I agree. Um, >> and and honestly that win money is I mean it the yes there's some minor there will be some reoccurring expenses but the best way to spend that is on big capital projects like this in my opinion. Um yeah and >> there's land and then it's a what we actually balance babel was 992,000 but you know what for the safety of our kids >> and our >> and if you can highlight that

174in your in your bond stuff that this is what's being allocated and prioritized and this will continue to help fund those things like that's what we're already investing. Right. >> Right. Yeah. We're already trying to do what's right for our kiddos. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I I felt like looking at it, we have enough between wind and capital outlay and the 100,000 we got, you know, that we just got. We can do both. I mean, I think we can do the the real fans that this guy's talked about and then this I did send that quote to your email. Right. So, um so I make a motion. >> Well, we can only vote on the occupant. We don't have >> the others on there. >> Well, because too we have to wait for our approval

175from PSA. >> Okay. I want to wait until we see that. >> You don't want to get the oculin started >> started because it's going to get the security motion to approve the existing um punch list items that need to be completed from the last install and to do the maintenance and replace the items that we already knew needed to occur. But my motion does not include the the new the GO wall um for the any the new items that weren't already existing with our security system until we I'd like to do that as a full that's me as a full package. >> So all you're deleting is the fence >> that you know and no new cameras. Yeah. >> Yeah. I think that would a different quote. >> Yeah. We're going to need a

176different quote then if that's what you want. >> Okay. So, let me let me ask a question. Um my motion still on the table. This 100,000 that we got a barn for that we approved. When is that money available? As soon as we get this approved, um I will we should have access as soon as it routes through PED. It's taking about a month on bars right now. So it'll be available mid December and then we'll have to do a request to obligate first and then and submit the quote to PSFA and once that's approved then I mean there's still a couple of hoops to jump through. So, I think we're safe in terms of not adding value if that's what is being thought about so that it doesn't affect our rankings. Um, I don't

177see us being able to get started with this until January. Um, unless things move super quick with PSA. >> Oh, I didn't say is Oculin are you still on? >> Yep, we're still here. >> What would be your timeline of getting started? Could you push it off till January? >> Yeah. So, there's the two sections of it. Obviously, there's the break fix on the current problems and then the new installs. Um, >> the pushing off to January is acceptable. The the price will change because Vicata's raised their camera licenses uh by about 10%. So, that's why we we pushed for locking in before the end of the year with you guys. Um the the install portion can be delayed, but we could purchase the equipment and the software and I could start designing it with

178your current system uh and utilize that trial and then we can wait to to fund the the Garcom install that's on top of the brake fix. So, we could do the brake fix, the hardware software order with the discounted pricing that you have and then um utilize a purchase order next year uh to install those cameras. >> I think we could get the purchase order probably before the holiday. Um it I I think we can get that done. That way you can still get the order in. Correct. I just don't think it'll be sooner than before Christmas that we can get everything approved through PSFA. >> Correct. Yeah. And that'll work as long as we have the hardware software portion ordered, just not the the install portion. That way we can hold as long as

179you need. >> Okay. But Vicki, can't we use other monies and not have to worry about the 100,000% >> 100%. Yes. It doesn't have to be that 100,000 that was just >> use the 100 grand on the fence. >> Yeah. And then we use the 100 grand on the fence. >> Okay. I amend my motion if I can do that. >> Yes. >> Uh I amend my motion to the following. I move that we approve the quote with the amendments to the licensing that will be submitted from the 10 years to the one-year dollar amount. >> Um and the 90day trial with the geo fence. >> Um one quick thing. So the the one-year license, we we wouldn't need that license in there. I can just get you the trial without the license. So it

180would just be the standard camera licenses that we're approving. The one year is on the geo fencing side. >> Okay? >> You just want to make sure that is understood properly. Um so you want to need to approve the one year. We can do that at a later date after you guys have tried it out um and are comfortable with it and think it's the right response for the school. Oh, okay. Yeah. >> Yeah. So, it brings the the total of the hardware software to 57,398.30 um >> down from the 88,000 that was originally proposed. >> Yeah. >> So, we're still targeting. It's just like >> Yeah. So, this is just for >> Yeah. >> Want to make sure. >> So, we're just going to do give get him the money so he can order

181the stuff and then afterwards do guard com with the 54,000. >> If you want to add, you can do that too. If you also want to add approving the guard quote, you can do that as well. I just do it all at one time and get it over with. >> So, you can approve the quote for 57,398.30 um along with the quote for guard.com >> which was >> Yeah, it was in there too. It was there. It was 54,000. >> Was it What was the Garon quote? >> Yeah, I'll pull it up right now for you guys. it was $54,26.25 and that's on the region 19 purchasing contract as well. So both of these are on purchasing contracts for procurement. >> Okay. Okay. I want to make sure I understand the license uh situation. So

182>> yep. So let me I can run through these line items really quick so that we understand the full scope. So, I'll start with the the quote that we originally uh that I brought last month to the board. So, this is the 10-year advanced alarm license. This would be 10 years of that geo fencing capability um within the cameras. What we were proposing doing is removing that geo fencing completely out of the quote. And so our focus are the new addition cameras that fill in blind spots fixing the broken access control and intercom system that was installed by another vendor. Um if we approve this quote then I can get the alarm license on a trial for 90 days for you and then that way in 90 days the board can decide if it was

183worth utilizing and then we can decide if we want one, three, five or 10year licenses associated with it. Um, this includes licensing for the intercoms and the additional cameras um that are fixing the problems that uh were left by the other vendor. And these line up with the 10-year warranty that comes with all the hardware um from Vicotta. So, you have the license and the warranty for >> took the license out. That blank spot is has the license out for the geoence. >> Yes, sir. the amount >> 3,000. >> So for a one-year license, it was 3,150. For a 10-year license, uh it was 31,500. So it's it's about $3,000 a year uh for that virtual fence. >> So you're willing I understood it that you're willing to give us a a one-year license for

18410 years? >> No. That's why I was like >> okay >> no >> because I thought the money doesn't >> Sorry about that confusion. That was my fault. >> I was like let's go. >> Did I surprise like >> normally the the one-year license isn't a direct like one to 10. It's more expensive uh per year than 10 year. What I was able to do is get the 10-year cost of this license on the one year. So maybe that's what I said that confused you. I apologize. >> Okay. >> But so essentially this quote is the one that I'd suggest doing. Um it keeps the the cost before the the price increase from Vicotta which ends at the end of this month. Um and it goes up by roughly 10 to 15% on the hardware

185and software. Um, this would fix the the issues on the access control, fill the blind spots, um, and, um, then I'll get a trial approved for you guys to test out the fence, and that way you can make decisions based on real life experience on that portion that's a little controversial. >> Yes, sir. >> So, basically, we're close to 100,000 when we get done. It's over. It's 111. >> Yeah. 5746 >> put 121. >> So it's basically 111,600. >> Yep. And that comes with the 10-year warranty on the hardware software. um the certified texts coming out as well as me designing um the system and making sure training users, making sure everyone's comfortable and that you're fully utilizing Verata versus um what I was explained by Curtis last time I was there that they just

186put the system up and they hand it over. I'm going to train users, set it up properly, make sure you guys are fully using this advanced system because again, it's only as good as uh how it's being utilized. >> Okay. So I amend my in that we accept the quote as amended and do the maintenance improvements and install the the new cameras with the 90day demo of the geo when Yeah. She said install. >> Yeah. Yeah, she said install. >> Motion been made and seconded to accept Oculin's bid to install and fix the broken stuff. Yeah, install and fix all the broken stuff. So, all those in favor? >> I I those opposed. Okay. >> All right. >> Thank you, sir. understand it better now. >> Well, you muted yourself. >> Thanks everyone. We'll be

187in contact soon. I'll reach out to Rhonda. Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime and I'll reach out to you tomorrow. >> Thanks everyone. >> Okay, Vicki. Now you got to figure out how to pay for it. >> Wind. >> Yeah. >> Okay, let's keep going. All right. This discussion possible action of the safety for a school bus stop. Yeah. I didn't know you were having problems out there if you So, >> yeah, it's been a problem for a long time. Actually, I think um I don't know if Karen ever said anything about it. >> Karen said she had the timing right. So, she got it. But that's what she told Dan. But sometimes she would go further down to that uh that lay down that they had >> and turn

188around and come back >> and come back. The problem is is in the afternoons absolutely and if it or if it's muddy um or crossing the lane with kids on the bus as they're still passing or in the northbound lane. >> So I don't know what to do. Sound like >> um but I did look at it I did look at it Thursday and there's only one there's the only the one school bus stop on this end. I mean which doesn't make any difference. They're not going to pay attention to those signs anyway. There's not one >> on the eastbound on the eastbound. There's not one. >> Well, I did ask Pattern. I talked to one of the main guys. He works for Pattern. Um, his name is Dave Rogers and he was going to

189have a pretty good discussion with the people who are tied to the project. The problem is there's other construction that he has no say. But he said if you will get licenses if you can pictures we might have to get a >> you know I mean I don't know like a a dash cam. Yeah I think we might have to think about that a dash cam. >> I don't think they're very expensive. I think we can think about doing that. Getting a dash cam. And he said if they are uh employees they would be I mean that would be something to >> Do you just have your blankers or do you have the >> the arm the so okay about that um I felt so nervous about making what I had to do um just

190to avoid hitting any parents that are parked over here. also trying to avoid that muddy spot, >> right? >> Which gets really crazy. Um, you have to pull over to the right like this so that you imagine >> um if that makes sense. And it's at that point when I'm like this that people start just trying >> trying to tap >> nic like >> okay so what I did initially was I put my four-ways on so that they would >> be aware like okay no I can't be passing her right now >> there's no other >> but Karen tells me that that is illegal you may not put your fourways on unless you are like stopping in a roadway to pick up children. That's the signal to let people know I am stopping right like

191now and I'm picking up children right here when you're not getting off the road. >> Not off the road. >> Okay. Let me ask you a question. Is there Can you talk to your parents and have them leave you enough room to just pull in there, >> unload the kids, let them leave, and then you back up, turn around, >> like put them in in between the highway and the fence, >> put her where she can >> I mean, have her if she's got to pull up to the cattle guard or whatever for Rube to back up and turn around after the kids are gone. >> Yeah. >> I don't I don't know. I don't remember how much room is there. >> Suggestion might have been the good one because um you can pull onto

192that road. Yeah. And then back up from there. >> Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just just go ahead and turn instead of looping. >> They give you room >> and then just turn off. Just just turn and then and then stop and let the kids off and then you can once they're on then you can pull up a little more and back up and turn around. He's cleared a spot for all those people, but they're just adding vehicles over there. >> Because how many you pick up there? Bunches, don't you? Yeah. >> So, it's it's three or four extra vehicles sitting there. So, >> every day when I drive by. >> So, >> I guess you just need to talk to your parents and have them leave you a spot to to get across there and

193pull in and then, you know, unload and >> Right. But I also think that and I I also it shouldn't all be on the parents and the school bus driver. >> Exactly. >> We need to really don't like >> Right. I understand. >> That's what I was saying. if they want to park next to the highway and let her pull off and get behind them cuz then the doors right there to the >> the vehicles >> where she's not having to make a loop or >> No, she Well, after the parents leave, then she could just pull back onto the highway >> cuz that's what I was trying to avoid. You know, she said when she has to pull off the road, >> she be the one close to the fence. >> Oh, parents park

194over here. I mean, essentially in a mud hole, but >> that would be a way to avoid all of that. Okay. >> Except for the parents and the kids. >> Yeah. So closer to the highway. Okay. >> Cuz right there >> and then they let their kids out on this side and my door is right. >> Yeah. Right there. Yeah. >> So you just need to >> So that's our part. We can do that. >> We And then we need to get over to the state. >> That's the >> And have them put up another a sign on the >> sign on the other side. Yeah, >> maybe addressing like cuz um right by that stretch right there is like gravel and stuff and it doesn't get insanely muddy but right in the other area

195by the fence like more like in the middle I think between the highway and the fence that stretch I guess that's a county >> that's a county road right Yeah, maybe they could maybe county and get get some get some fives or something on it. >> Yeah. Um, yeah, it's a safety issue. Yeah, I we we can we can hang this one, I think. So, as far as what y'all have talked about, sounds like y'all got a plan there. But uh Ryan and Schwebok will make sure that we get if we need material held in there because of it's a bus route basically safety >> then then I can take care of that. >> Okay. If you'll send me the next time you're there and you have a moment and you can Yeah. before you

196get kids if you can get me pictures of exactly what that looks like and and send them to my cell phone. Yeah. I can send those to Ryan. >> Okay. Um Ryan was going to get uh Florence County Sheriff to be there in the morning and the evening >> to try to deter the traffic to slow down and pay attention. Has that happened? Yeah. >> Have you seen seen any schedule? >> Okay. Well, it sounds like I can get back with Dave and just tell him that I think we've taken care of it. But if it doesn't, we can probably get you a dash cam and start getting her responsibility. >> No, I don't either. But who is it? I mean, >> it's the I mean, I realize it's the lease, but >> but the

197the pattern hires the Sorry. Pattern hires the >> same. But but there's other people that are not part of pattern at all. They're not part of the project period. Their highway, their railroad, there's there's other things going on that he has no say. Oh, I see what you're from pattern is to call 911 every time >> alone >> and report it. But you're gonna have to make sure and get, you know, their >> right >> you can get some sort >> description of that. >> It's a long road. Yeah, but he did say, you know, if they were tied to tatter or platiner or fiberel, I'll get with Brian on the material and then I will just verify on the because I think them seeing a police car there that that you know that gets

198around in terms of you know >> Yeah, there never was. there. Yes, there is. >> Tell you don't want them there. So, >> okay. All right. >> All right. Discussion >> picture. Yeah. >> The land swap. What do we have? >> I thought we had approved it at meeting. >> No, he the last I remember is it went to the county clerk or the the assessor or whoever at the county. I don't remember. He came and did a proposal but I don't beyond the proposal I don't know that we ever did any I don't even know where to >> I thought that just from the proposal like >> yeah it just didn't go anywhere past that like the board didn't make any kind of decision >> decision >> so we need brought up to us

199again right you know right so we need we need the I guess the physical we need the the physical description of the and >> how much it is. I mean, as far as >> maps that night, didn't he? >> He did, I thought. Yes. >> I will dig. >> See if I can find them in the record. >> You know, cuz this that piece over here, it's not very big. But then he was wanting that piece behind the behind the behind the teacher. >> Sorry. So, I guess we just need the >> we just need that information and then we can we can act on. >> Yeah. Can't even remember. I think that was the first meeting last time. Yeah. >> And if you can't find it, you know, saving you time. Everybody's wearing a

200lot of hats right now. >> I would just recommend reach back out to him. Yeah. and say, "We are so sorry this >> cuz he's probably still got them with everything else. We want to try to honor the conversation. Can you send us your thoughts again and so we can all polish up on that?" Okay. I mean, if you find it, great. But yeah. >> Yeah. If you guys can >> or if they want to come visit with us again, >> we're going to have to have it appraised and everything. That will >> appraise will be even still. >> Oh, no. They are they've hit me up every time. Every time. Yeah. So, >> okay. >> They approached me on it. I was >> discussion and possible action on policy for community event scheduling. This

201is Kyle's. >> Yeah. >> I think with our new safety culture we're trying to do, we can have community events on school time. just inviting the public to something that we're trying to kind of keep them out of. It's it it contradicts what we're trying to do. And it it's not about anybody's events. It's just, you know, we we have a Friday off >> that the community can utilize >> this area. So, that was my thought. I I know I think it's a policy change to make a rule against that that during school hours, community events. What do you guys think? >> I I mean, it's always been that way, but it doesn't mean that it has to stay that way. >> Well, because last time, you know, because there were going to be so

202many people, you know, the sheriff recommended sending two police officers here. Well, then that was a big concern. Everybody wondering why the police were here type of thing. Um, >> it's a but it is because it is, you know, like our kids are going back and forth and people are interpointing between our kids. Um, we don't know who's where. You know, our our cameras aren't >> Yeah. And who do you know? Something to these events. >> Yeah. It's not just, you know, our our parents coming. >> Yeah. It's >> everybody from all over. >> Yeah. >> And people could use that as an opportunity. >> Yes. >> Not necessarily the ones that are here for the >> Do we need a motion to >> to change the I don't even know if we have a

203policy. We It's just always been done that way. But I think we need to to set it as >> you need to write the policy, but you have to have the three readings, right? So you would have to write >> read it, read it again, read it again and again and read it again before you can adopt. >> Okay. And then send it to the lawyer. >> Yeah. So I guess you know um if he would draft us like a policy explaining that for community. >> Yeah. You know, you might ask if like Capitan or also they don't do it because they have other places. >> They do some in Capan. I remember you reach out to them and see >> they may not have a policy. They let him know. Yeah, I will say

204ask Gino too, Randa. We're not to ask him, but >> he could he could draft it for us and just go from there. I will say that it's going to take >> more than just us implementing said policy. >> That's cause >> a huge >> and I I'm okay with conflict, but it's going to take more than just us implementing. >> We're just talking school hours. Correct. >> So if it's after if it's after school. Yeah. like our kids if they have sports or something like that as long as they are completely cleared out. >> Yeah. I mean, I just think, you know, we're trying to make this place safer, so that has to mean something to this community. I don't think it'll be a hard cell. I think initially it will, Amanda, but I

205don't think in the long run, if we do it right and we explain it right, I don't think it'll be a hard cell. I think people will understand. >> I agree. We might get a little push back. Yeah, we might get some, but they'll be Yeah, with all these school shootings and all this and everything going once they abduction. I mean, they could have >> like one of them kids from >> wondering I went through all our policies a while back, but I don't remember. I know it that night >> again. Was that enough? Oh, and I think the safety policy I think it's already it could >> we add it to something there? Well, I think you know and we are using cookie cookie cutter policies now and so I doubt we have anything

206in our existing policies that say we have to do it. >> But I would imagine the safety of the school premises. It's already in there that we could say, well, we already have this policy if it's questioned. But I'm going to think it'll be questioned. It could just be a new practice based on safety concerns. But if somebody wanted to look at the our cookie cutter policies under the safety areas, I think it's probably already in there. There's probably already I mean I might be wrong, but >> and I have our website to be able to pull up and just search. Okay. Yeah, I won't have to go through like one first. >> Yeah. >> Or if you >> because I know Gino that one day we was talking on the phone and he goes,

207"Hold on it and he just typed something >> and it just popped up. >> I think we need a an action item. We just >> So I'll look I'll look first to see if we have a policy on that. If we don't then I'll contact you know >> verbage on creating. >> All right. >> Still get with the other schools. >> Yeah. I'm sorry because I you've got to be comfortable and I totally respect that. but they're going to charge out the yin-yang to to do that for us. And if another school has it and you're good with it >> and they're if they want to review it and make sure they're good with it, but rather than them drafting one for you, I'm >> No. Yeah. >> Our stuff is kind of adding up

208a little bit in some areas. So that's the only reason I make that comment. But whatever makes you comfortable. Okay. So discussion items that's all under action item discussion teacher housing update. >> Um so that's the only thing I'm just waiting on the one final quote from the police from the place from Horales and the guy said he was just waiting on his guy that specifically works with asbestous to get that back to him and then he'd get the quote to us and he said no later than >> that forward. Yeah. And then once we have that then I send it all to FFA. I don't know what goes on from there. We'll figure it out. >> But it sounds like at least we're >> Vicki too. Vicki would probably have a really good feel

209for what happens there. >> So >> while we're on this subject, Mr. Chairman, can I just something I've been wondering about on this for us to be thinking about and Randa and her folks. So, anytime you I I when we built the new facility in Morardi for the co-op, that's a huge lift. And um and I believe we put into that cost a project manager, didn't we? >> No, we see Vicki shaking her head. No, >> we can't hear you, Vicki. >> I'm sorry. I had myself on mute. Um I know we talked about it, but we definitely are going to need a project manager. Okay. So, just something um because it's to stay on top of all of those subcontractors and um just and everyone here is is pretty strapped. And so, I'm just

210sharing FYI to be thinking about that. Um, and I don't know if there's, you know, um, someone that is in already here that maybe has more time on their hands that you think would be good at something like that. I don't know everybody's talents and and their schedules and all of that, but you no one person in this room will be able to lift it properly. Um just sharing cuz I don't you know when we're doing something like that the most important thing is that someone is make is holding people's feet to the fire and making sure they're not taking major shortcuts because I can promise you they will. So just wanted to share that while we were on the subject. Um, also with that, so TLC did come, they're going to put in a

211new circuit board. Um, and and then he he'd have to see from there like what the gas situation would look like as long as he got the circuit board going. Um, and I talked to Vberto and he said that they replaced the circuit board not even 7 years ago. Um, so I don't I don't really know what we have at stake with like the heating in that house. >> In that house. Yeah. Okay. So, um there's one up in the in the old a shop. >> So, we have that putting a mini split in there. >> Uh we can look into that, you know, once they if they get that circuit board in there and see. >> Yeah. I mean, >> he one of my renters out there put a mini split on top of

212his >> camper >> on his top of his camper and they did it themselves. >> Yeah, there's a gentle cap >> the mini splits around here. >> Was it Gilbert Stewart just had some >> electric? Was it Ran? >> Was it Rowan? >> I don't know. We were just talking about it today. He's from Capitan and he's electric. No, Lato is wrong. >> Yeah. Yeah. Uh, yes. >> Ivans. There you go. >> I think those So, that's why I was asking. So, the mini splits I've heard because we're thinking about getting some too, Jeff and I. Um, and I've heard nothing but good things about them. Yeah. Great. >> Oh, you don't have >> building works great. >> You don't have them on your house. They they >> Allen and Butchell. He said Gilbert >>

213Gilbert just had to put in. >> So I mean it's something to look into. We can't get the >> heater to work or Yeah. >> You know it's I feel like we're just throwing good money after bad >> in some ways. >> The other option I was is it on a permanent foundation? >> So um let's see how what size of heater would you need? Like is it >> not thousand square addition. >> Yeah, it's got that garage. It's the biggest one of all of them. It's a three. >> The way it's laid out, you'd probably almost need two because you've got the master bedroom, living room on one end, and then you have the other two bedrooms, bathroom, dining, and the kitchen. But I don't know the cost of a mini split either. So,

214an ETSs unit, those are electric thermal storage heaters. And I have two at home and and the co-op would if you call and ask for Curtis Belchure at the co-op if you're interested. This was another offering. Um, check all options. >> And it also comes with a special rate and you can program those. I'm thinking of this for financial in and helping people that come here to work, too. So, I love mine and so I'm on a off peak rate when it charges the bricks. So, it's super cheap to operate and it's very efficient and it heats up you've seen my bedrooms and and it I have one in the girls room and one in mine in Jeff's and that's all I need in the dead of winter and um and so you can program

215them. You get a special rate if you have one um with a co-op and then you can program them to heat the bricks on the off peak. It's like 3 cents per kilowatt hour compared to 15 cents per kilowatt hour. That's a regular rate. >> So, it's a sweet deal. And the co-op can help coordinate. Some of them they still carry. They used to. I don't know if they still are. Or they can like um um uh Ronnie Dustin puts them in. He's really good at it. He is electrician, not a mountain. Mountaineer. Yeah. >> He's very He's probably the most knowledgeable about them and how to set them up and program them and maintain them, but they last forever. >> Yeah. We've had ours for 20. I've had no issues with it. We've had

216it at least 20 years, >> even when the power goes out. >> So, so this is another nice thing about it, Randa. So, if if let's say now when the power goes out, they are electric. But if your power goes out and they've already charged the bricks, >> okay, the fan won't blow because that's run by the electricity. But the Jeff likes to put his wet clothes over the top of them because they won't burn. They just they're just very warm. on the bricks is what radiate all the heat. So you could still have heat >> if the power went out after the bricks were fully charged then you know it wouldn't be blowing it out like a heater. >> So that's a good question but no if you have a power outage you would

217lose electricity to charging the bricks or blowing the van. >> Okay. So, and I was just looking at many splits, many splits at uh Lowe's, and they range from $620 to 2,900 and some. Yeah, I think the highest most expensive one was 2,149. So, that's just, you know, basic. I mean, I guess it just depends on what you want. >> Okay. Those might be those might be cheaper than what an ETSs, but you your electric bills for that tenant would be a lot cheaper on an ETS unit than probably Yeah. Yeah. Just FYI. >> Okay. We've given you so many possibilities. >> Yeah. >> You're good. All right. >> Strategic planning. >> Um and so that's the comment that I made earlier. Um, just that David Chavis asked if we could um if you guys

218want to come up or you know just uh look at your calendars tonight and send me a couple dates um after the strategic planning that we have. >> Okay. So it has to be after >> after the 19th um or that you guys would have for four to five hours. So I guess dates and times. >> So can we are you open that we give those to you now? It might be >> Yeah, it might be better. We're all sitting here. Yeah. Um, >> we got Thanksgiving that next week. So, >> how quickly, like where does it where does mess them up as far as how like how long can we wait before we start messing up the the deal? >> Um, so he did say, um, Oh, that one was I took that paper

219off because I drew all over the side of it. um because he did talk about um like the first of the year type of thing. Um he would kind of come back and and and finalize everything with us. So I'm guessing he's thinking like December >> in December sometime. >> Okay. >> So were we still going to do the board feed on the 11th? >> Yes, >> we still need to do that, right? So we have to figure that one out, guys. Um maybe the the week of the 15th through the 18th if that's >> Yeah, >> I don't have anything for four or five hours. >> When is our next >> Our next board meeting is um December 10th, >> the day before. >> If you keep your agenda short, you should cook together.

220>> Well, >> I know. >> I'm going to be incapacitated that week and for the next six weeks after that. So, >> goodness. have surgery on the 8th. >> Oh, the 8th. Okay. And you said for how many weeks after? >> Well, I mean, no, as far as I will miss the board meeting on the 10th. >> Okay. >> Because I'll probably still be in the hospital. >> Okay. >> Then, uh, after that, I can, you know, I just can't lift anything. >> So, coming to a meeting with him >> would be 15, 16. Yeah. Any of those days. >> Any of those days is good. What about you guys? Pillows or something. I'm I'm open. They're all five to six. >> Yeah, as long as it's after three. >> We'll have to see. >>

221I'm just looking time like I can probably take off a little earlier if I need but >> No, it should be okay. >> Okay. >> And we'll just have um like refreshments as he called it. He said, "Are you having refreshments?" I was like, "You want to do it on the That gives you enough time to order." >> Yeah. They define so it doesn't matter. It gives you some time to like >> have a little more recovery time. >> Day 18 and Thursday. It's only a half day, too. >> Thursday. >> 18th. Okay. I was looking at Britney's basketball. I'm open on the 18th. Okay. So, I'm going to do strategic planning. >> What time could you be here? >> 3. It's never always a guarantee, but it's pretty. >> What's his name? >> David

222Chavis. >> I'm just going to put DC >> and you'll go >> and it will be at 3:00. >> Yeah, I'll send you I'll send you a calendar invite you. >> And you need to post it as a meeting. >> Yes. >> Or whatever you want to call it. >> And I have I have my other paper, but he told me what to what to >> what to put it in what we're shooting for workshop. Yeah. Workshop or something. A work session. Yeah. They're like 327. >> Yeah, we might need refreshments. So maybe may get hangry. >> Yeah, I'm just saying. >> I mean, >> yeah, we need to decide. We We need to decide what we're going to eat. What we're going >> to feed everybody. Yeah. >> So, how many people do you

223think are going to show up? I'm trying to figure out how many are with all the elementary kids. >> We have 98 kids >> enrolled. So you have 98 >> times two. >> Yeah. >> Or well actually times three. >> I was doing the math as coming into the meeting and I was like that's a lot of Wait a minute. They're doing burritos or something. >> Yeah. Because Shannon also mentioned maybe one of those walk-in taco deals where they put the all you got to do is cook the hamburger meat, >> then you have the other things, heat up the beans and they like a taco bar. >> Well, they cut the bag open, cut the burritos, mash them on Doritos, and you make either a Frito pie or or put them on Doritos and

224>> just a small little with like cheese or whatever. >> Yeah. You cook the hamburger meat and it's there. Then you have beans and you have lettuce and tomato and everything else. You know, it's kind of like a taco bar, but instead of using the taco shells, you use the bag of >> Doritos or whatever it is. >> So, >> okay. And to walk around. >> I don't know how much. >> And you might have some grandparents that come. I so I know and people from the carnival I planned for um 200 >> and there was >> and I'm not sure how >> from what I heard there was >> there was >> it was yes there wasn't enough food. Um we did have extra um we may have had like 25 hamburger patties left

225over and that's not okay. So based on what you're explaining, Cody, how many like how much hamburger would do one serving? >> Spoonful like a >> We would like Yes. You would be there to >> Right. Okay. >> Right. >> Okay. So, a little not to be greedy, but that'll be probably our biggest cost is the beef. >> Well, I've got I'll donate a bunch of some of it. The hamburger beef. You don't have to donate all of it. >> Well, I didn't say I would donate all. I said I >> I don't know. We got What's a spoonful? 4 ounces. >> It'll it should you look up like how much ground beef pound of ground beef uh per pound or how how much ground beef would one person eat in >> or what a

226serving of ground beef? >> Okay. >> I can tell you donate some to the cafeteria. >> What a serving of ground beef look like. the size of a deck of cards. Think of the beef in your diet as a side dish, not a main dish. pound. Yeah. >> So, four people on a panel. >> 50. >> Yeah. So, 50 pounds winner divided by four. >> Yeah. >> Well, that was for the Halloween thing. This thing is probably going to have more. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Yeah. More directors come. >> So, and people >> and the community because they're to watch if because it is open to the community. That's something also to remember because we want them to come back. Can you look real quick to see what the board has for the spend >>

227our line item? >> I mean I can also Yeah. I mean I'm just asking because I want to know >> it's getting on up there. Not that I want to do my part, but >> are you going to >> register? Who Who's going to the >> I am >> but I don't I'm registered. >> Do I need to register already? >> Mhm. >> Do I need to register? Yeah, you have to register and I think Nicole can um whatever she did with Barbara, she put her I'm staying with my cousins >> because Embassy Suites didn't have they had a room for Saturday or something. >> Yeah, we we stay >> in close right here by the airport. >> Do you want to register? Do you want Nicole to register you for that then? >> Will

228you register me? I I would appreciate that. Thank you. >> Yes, please for Wait, wait, wait. When is it? >> It starts the fourth day. >> It's four. >> Yeah, that's right. I remember it was right before my cousin. >> I will have to leave down there early Saturday. Alison is getting married Saturday evening. >> The same night as this is all the same time, right? >> Yes. >> Yeah. Come visit. >> I don't know. D maybe it would be better to because of the numbers and this could get a little costly. Do and if they're going to be doing that down at the fire station with the hot drinks and stuff. What do you guys think about >> pastries >> doing pastries? Well, something to remember it is we so we've already sent out

229flyers now. And I got one I got one from Clyde. >> It's already going out to the community. Yes. And it's also kind of like a lengthy thing. >> Um because since now they're like not just doing since we actually have like a program type thing. >> Um and then the light parade is afterwards. I mean I don't think the light parade is probably not even going to start till like 7:15 7:30. >> Okay. So let's just do them real quick. What was the is baking still looking for? We're still looking for our >> Google says you'll need >> What is it that you're wanting uh balances on >> to do it for this feed? Yeah, for food. >> Um >> yeah, there's >> I mean we have in in your function >> just have

230training and we just have training and professional development, right? Or uh rooms lodging, >> right? But there's in that line item there's in that uh function there's still about $2,800 that is unencumbered. And then we also have some activity accounts that have been dormant for many years that have like $150 $200. We can find money if you need to if you need to um >> do a little bit of it but >> yeah we can help. We can yeah we can find money for that. >> Yeah little bit too. Thank you. Okay. >> So, I have no problem like working and cooking and I have no >> Yeah, I don't either. I was just thinking this is getting a little bit larger than >> Yeah, it was a little bit bigger than we had anticipated.

231>> Okay. All right. But I think we can the four of us can discuss. >> Yeah. >> And if you want we can send out too we can send um like RSVPs out to see to kind of get a count and at least you'd have a closer idea. Is that something that you want to do? >> Cuz I sent out kind of like a survey to find out like the date that people would that parents would prefer and that we got quite a few back from that. >> Yeah. And and when I can't see anybody that you might look at that number because I bet you nobody's going to say I'm not going to eat. >> No. >> You know Walmart you got back cuz that's kind enough on your plate. So, so sorry. What

232night did you say it last? December 11th. >> December 11th. I'm pretty sure that my calendar. >> Yeah. It says board. >> Okay. Um, yeah. >> Yeah. So, >> might need to make a Sam's run or a pass or something. We have to get a like just do a PO. Yeah, we could ask Vicki for a PO for all that, right? >> Yeah. Okay. >> So, Vicki, what's that instrument on your wall back there? >> Um, that's a I think it's a satar. It's it um my son is a musical person and that was I think my daughter got that from Africa for him when she visited when she went on a mission trip. I I don't know exactly what it's called, but it's a a funky guitar type thing. >> Some of them thought

233it was a paddle. >> Well, I have one of those, too. Okay. Well, >> you hand that to. >> Okay. So, on the meal bill, let's get a plan really quick. So, Barbara, how or how I'll just address the board. I'm good in making a Sam's run. If you want to go with me one day. >> Yeah. If you have a PO >> and get our our dollar amount, then you and I can go to Sam's and Roswell and if the rest of you are okay with it. >> Yes. >> And you can get all that stuff. Yeah. Vicki, can you put an appeal for me? >> Yeah. Do you want it as a reimbursement to you or >> Yes. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Okay, >> that'll be fine. >> How much? I know

234>> 500 to exceed >> you not to exceed I don't know a thousand >> 1500 >> cuz I don't know I'm going to say 2,000 >> yeah say yeah make it two >> oh my >> not to exceed two >> nobody else wanted to go to the thing >> can you get mine in before that be. >> Oh, we're gonna find No, we're going to find other monies than that. We can use other monies for this. >> Oh my. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Yeah. No, we'll figure it out. >> Like each million bucks per person. And if we have 300 Gordon of that, that's $1,500. Yeah, let's do 2,000. >> Okay. >> Cuz we we just thought of the meal. Are we just going to provide water? I think we should. >> That's what

235we did. I mean, we had from something else and those went those were gone in like seconds. But >> I just like we have spill it. >> Really? Yeah. >> Well, if they're walking around, the water is going to be nicer because if you spill the soda or >> Yeah. Got to come run in and clean and sticky sticky stuff. No water. >> All right. Okay. So, we'll get together. Yes. >> And set a date. All right, I move to adjourn. I second. >> I hope everybody was done. So, motion been made and second and we journ. All those in favor? >> I >> All right. Thank you guys. >> There's your big lips back. >> Yeah. >> Thank you. I know. >> Thank you. >> She's got a long ways to go home, though.
