Call the meeting to order 531. Everybody stand for the pledges. Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I salute the flag of the state of New Mexico, the zo symbol of perfect friendship among united cultures. Okay, first thing on the agenda, roll call. We're all here. Pledges. All right. >> Amanda, would you like to pray? >> Sure. >> Precious Father, we thank you for this this evening. We thank you for the safe travels of our board members getting here. And Lord, we just pray that you guide us and lead us through every decision that we make. Help us to keep your will at the center of all this and to make the
best decision that would be pleasing to you. This we ask in your holy name. Amen. >> Amen. Amen. And her career as they travel in the coming weeks that they have a good time. All right. The agenda it doesn't need to be amended. So first action I have approval of the security system from Oculin. You know, I move to table this because I feel like we do not have enough information. Do >> we have not talked to schools in the state who have this? We have not I just feel like there's not enough information yet. We we need to we need to hear from other schools. We need to hear whether they like it or not. This is Stacy HT from region >> region. This is Alina and >> so um my suggestion is that
we table this and I'm going to ask questions to >> um and but she's fine >> but she also didn't get the list. Yes, she didn't get the list of tools. We want to see if we could get an ad perspective from Ma and a IT perspective. Um, and I will say she called a company in to bring or to come look at like a generator with size generator and they did not show up on Thursday. So that's still kind of in limbo. Stacy was looking into battery backups, what that would look like and what that would cost with a very little knowledge. Bless his heart. Um, I finally gave him reboarding so he could kind of listen to it. But when he plugged in his computer, he couldn't see the slides. So it was
all based on what Stixy could hear. So we're still even gathering information on that. Well, he'll reach back out to my natural gas. They are they are a genre. Um >> there was a big one with a truck today. >> She foundation board with me. So I'll reach back out to her. Crystal Fuentes is her name. and um and see what happened. >> Okay. >> So I because the other the other thing I will um on these generators >> uh finding one is usually not a problem but it's finding someone that will support them. >> That's a big issue. Yeah. Lame lame apparently is their lame plumbing and electric. They're the ones out of so that will that will support. Yeah. >> So, um I second uh >> Okay, go ahead. >> My mot I
second the motion to table >> motion made and seconded to table the approval of the security system until we have better and more knowledge. All those in favor >> I. >> All those opposed same sign. Is there a backup? Is there battery enough to to last two or three days out there? Not the way we use batteries. Jac is what I was going to suggest. >> Yeah. >> For days on natural gas. >> Yeah. And that's what we have here. So, yeah, that's what we were figuring. I didn't think that there was enough battery without a solar panel, but >> but I'll reach it back out cuz it might not Whoever was supposed to come up here or So a terrible electric but um yeah Right. Exactly. >> Yeah. [laughter] >> Thank you very much.
Be careful going. keeping me up discussion uh update on the capital projects. >> So based on uh the board meetings last month, I went ahead and created a a table an Excel spreadsheet. I don't know if this is what you were looking for. >> Yes. >> Yeah. Okay. But just taking all the projects that were listed in the in the um narrative and then also looking at the capital funds and seeing what's already been spent. So, um, I tried to put information in the notes around, um, was it already done? Has it already been paid for? That sort of thing. Um, >> yes, this is perfect. This is what I Thank you. >> Yes. Thank you, so welcome. >> So, >> do we need a scoreboard anymore? >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> No, it didn't
get it didn't >> It still glitches out. >> Yeah. I noted those items they have already in progress. So >> it was just a temporary fix. They cut the >> question. >> They cut the horn. >> So the horn wires did something. >> So the doors are the doors that we've ordered that don't have that will work with the right. The strikes the correct. Yes, that's correct. And those were the same doors that uh we knew were issues back in like March or April, >> correct? >> Prior to Marshall, was that when he came to those doors? >> We've known this for because they never did order at the end of Yes. Okay. But yes, how many doors are on there? >> Okay. So demolition of building I don't have all the details she's PSFA
right but I believe that she's working on quotes um because Amerar is not an approved PSFA vendor but they're an approved CES vendor but if we want PSFA to pay for it we got to use to follow their rules. And so I think Amanda was going to work on two additional quotes to pass their requirements. So I do believe that covered already. We already have a PO in place. It's not been started and um I believe we will be able to roll that into the teacher housing. And what I have found out on the teacher housing and random may have more information is that they were going to push it through P it because PSFA has lost so many staff members in the last three months, four months. Um they were going to push it
through PED and then they made a decision two weeks ago not to that they're going to now pull it back into PSFA. So it's just been a delay. Um I think we should wait until that funding comes through. That's my opinion, but you guys can >> until we >> until the actual because there's been an award to Corona. >> Yes, exactly. I mean, we've been awarded the money. >> We had the we've had the reward. >> Yeah, read the back. >> We just haven't. >> That's my understanding is that yes, you were awarded. >> Can you find that award letter for us? Can you ask if I can find I don't have it but I I know I know but he's ask my husband said my husband is a patch and he were presenting like
side by side. They got letters to this like they got so I know I know that Corona did get awarded. I just >> we got awarded for the demolition >> for the teacher >> housing. Well, I thought I thought we were a go on everything. We were just waiting on the >> the funding for the demolation to get started and then >> yeah, we've never seen that award letter, >> but you have to receive it. So, you're going to have to accept it. We need to bring we need >> doing that on always approved. You have to approve an award. >> No, I remember award letter award. Okay. So, we'll make sure we find it and that we get it approved by you, but we're still waiting on the funding. The funding is not >>
Right. Exactly. And that's fine. But >> okay, so >> we have one other question. Thank you for guessing together. Sorry, Cody. >> No, no, no. >> Okay, so the discussion and the board being asked to rank priority, which I appreciate. Um, and tell me if I tell me if I'm wrong and if I'm thinking through this. So I would have thought that this would have occurred um way before now and in a based on when budget is approved um you know those things are identified some things are are come from different resources. I get that. And >> so, um, am I wrong in thinking that this should have we should have already had a solid grasp on what priority should have been before now? Is that the nor is that the regular practice? A lot
of these purchase orders, I mean, I I didn't notice on [clears throat] all of them, but a lot of these purchase orders have been carried over for a couple of years. Um, things like the gym, uh, auditorium fixtures, that sort of thing. Um, same with the camera that was a carryover. And I don't know if it also So, I think these things have been like sort of planned for a while and for whatever reason didn't get done. I really don't know why they didn't get done. Um I take notice that a lot of them were carryovers from prior projects. Um but normally yes you would you you kind of as you're developing your budget and you're looking at your capital projects you're looking at what what are the highest needs that we have and we
always look at okay what are safety life you know you start with those and then you start working backwards with the things that um okay what are the what what do we need and what do we want right and then figuring out how to put those in in order to spend the money Um >> but the fencing came up well and also came up since the budget went in too like the fencing the elementary plumbing and sewer and the elementary floor has come in >> those were emergency. So I mean >> those um >> the doors I know were carryover also but I know they were carryover. So I think it was it's very possible that they just kind of got lost as they were shifting from one fiscal year to the other and not
quite finished. Um but I think we can moving forward now we can start to track our projects better so that you guys okay we're at with projects and this is great that kind of helps us with the timeline. Yes. Do that. I can do that. Thank you so much. Yes, this come time you will have to prioritize. Yes, someone was like the Kimet. So that they picked they didn't actually call in camet. Well then Kimnet never showed up. So now we have color like >> so some of those get lost too when you change vendors or project. >> We just need to track it. Well, we have we have a few project trucking that way. Yeah. On the demolition, I know that Randa called two contractors out of Alberta. One thing that another one to
send people out of Albuquerque just want to send people out here. Okay. So, she was looking at locations that might be more open, right, to sending people our direction. Okay. probably would be the closest on the list. >> Oh, she had a list. >> Now we know somebody quite [laughter] he doesn't tear down. I don't know. >> So, thank you very much. And I think that's new thing except for our executive section has kind of changed but we're still going on a few things but so I guess that's that's it except for that. So I need a motion. >> I move that we go to executive session. >> Motion be made and seconded to go into executive session. All those in favor I >> Alina. Barbara >> hi.
