Mr. Jason Gonzalez. >> Oh, he he will be sent. I haven't
002tried it in a while. Usually works really really good for like a week like everything else. >> She should be online. Can you hear us? >> Yes, I can hear you. Can you hear me? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Miss Caroline Grant, >> present. >> Miss Patricia Martinez, present. >> Right. And superintendent, we have a qu. >> Thank you. Um, Madame Chair, um, I, Madam Chair, I asked for approval of the agenda with the following, um, change. If we could look at item four, July 15th, regular board meeting minutes, um, we would like to remove that one or table it until next month. >> That's it. Okay, you've heard the recommendation to approve >> the agenda contents with the the change to table July 15 board meeting minutes. Is there a motion? >> So moved
003by Miss Martinez. Second. >> Second by Miss Le. >> Any discussion? Roll call, please. Uh, Miss Lenn Symbolo, yes. >> Miss Lenny Gaga, yes. Miss Patricia Martinez, yes. Miss Caroline Grant, >> yes. >> Madam Chair, I recommend approval of item four, July 17th. >> You don't even minutes. >> You don't need to do that. Don't need to do it. >> No. No. >> Please mute. Oh, I'm sorry. Heard the recommendation to approve the June 17th regular board meeting minutes. Is there a motion? >> Make a motion. >> Motion by M. Simolo. Second. >> Second by Miss Martinez. Any discussion? Roll call, please. >> Miss Gwen Simolo, >> yes. >> Miss Monique, >> yes. >> Miss Patricia Martinez, yes. Miss Caroline Grant, >> yes. >> Madam Chair, I make the recommendation uh to approve uh July
00423rd, 2025 special board meeting minutes. >> The recommendation to approve the June 23rd, 2025 special board meeting minutes. Is there a motion? So moved >> by Miss Lisa, second >> Second by Miss Martinez. Any discussion? >> Roll call, please. >> Miss Gwen Simolo, >> yes. >> Miss Monique, >> yes. >> Miss Patricia Martinez, >> yes. Miss Caroline Grant, >> yes. >> Madam Chair, I recommend approval of July 21st, 2025 special board meeting minutes. You heard the recommendation to approve the July 21st, 2025 schoolboard meeting minutes. Is there a motion? >> Madam Chair, make a motion. >> Motion, Miss Motion by Miss Simalo. Second. >> Second by Missaga. Any discussion? Roll call, please. Similo. >> Yes. Yes. >> Patricia Martinez. Yes. Miss Caroline Grant. Yes. All right. So, um, next order of business is public comment.
005And public comment is a time for public to address the board. The rest of the meeting, the public participates by viewing only. Is there any public comment? >> No. >> I would like to make a comment. Um um for the July 15th meeting, I um um as the presiding officer, I I I guess you would say I opened discussion when there was a time that it was outside the time of public comment. And so I just want to say that um we will continue the opens meeting act and we will continue to follow policy. It was um in my error of that of that that meeting. Madame chair, board members, I stand for any questions on my order. >> Thank you. So, I know your board report mentioned that we're fully staffed, but then there
006was um email or um posting of job um openings. >> So, did something happen? >> Yes. >> Um before I had I unfortunately I posted this before we got that notification. So, we are not fully staffed. We do have an opening for a cook who resigned um just out of nowhere um >> on Monday. Yes. Just came in and resigned. So we do have the posting up. We have a a set up for the next two weeks. Um hopefully we can convince that individual to stay but as of today we didn't have any any applicants. U Madam Chair and board members, I would like to just note on my board report per our request from our town hall meeting. Um there was a request um so we had asked if there was any questions at
007the town hall meeting that they could put it in a postet and then we would present it here at the board. So there was two questions that were asked. They wanted to know the number of enroll our enrollment numbers of last year compared to this year. And I think it's good information just to share out in general. So I will make sure that I keep this in my board report. So at the end of last year we ended off the year with 274 students. Um as of 819 we had 283. I was notified today that we have two more at the elementary. So putting us at 285. Um this does not include our 10day drops or individuals that have not shown up. Uh so there's still some time so these members may may differ a
008little bit for our next board meeting. Um another question that they had asked was our staffing um so they were asking I had presented this I'm going to say maybe in May or June um that they asked of staffing who had left and then those replacements or moves. So we did have Mr. um Bobby Richardson who left our district. He is now the assistant principal in Santa Fe. So I do want to note that I'm really proud um the goal here in Pasco is to raise our own um and or grow your own. And I think we this is a demonstration that's is exactly what we did. uh we he was applying um for an admin and he now has that admin position. I wish I had a position here to offer him but um
009at the time I did not. So he I'm happy for his success and I wish him well. I did check in on him just the other day. He said that it's busy but he's doing good. U Miss Maggie Mononttoya um accepted I'm going to say probably her dream job of coach at um Northern. So, we're very excited for her. Um, and I'm just going to back up a little bit. So, for Mr. Richardson who was teaching our Tiwa, we now have our governing council who I'm going to say I'm very pleased that they've all stepped up. We couldn't find a TA teacher and they have made the decision um for Governor Yaza to be our teacher of record and then the governing council will come in and take turns to make sure that they're teaching
010team to our students. Uh, in addition to that, working with Mr. McCaulay the uh Picotis education director. Uh he has two individuals that we were able to bring in to I'm going to say monitor students when they're getting some online um from the governor if they can't make it in person. Um this has been so we're really excited about that. Um Miss Mandy Mr. Null as you guys um and I try to make this very topic already. Uh Michael Mill has accepted the position as a lead. Um so he's doing a very good job on the learning curve. Um catching catching some things which is good. Uh Mr. Rick Busttos, he accepted a position as assistant uh principal online. Um he was expecting a child and it it was just easier for him to be
011at home. So we're also very happy for him. I'm glad that he's still able to pursue his career in education. Um with us today we have Miss Cardo Martinez who we offered the position for middle school high school. Okay. Um Miss Pauline Blumbuk uh retired believe 30 is >> 35 35 years um in education. I think it's a welldeserved applause for her and I wish her the best. I hope that she's traveling or just kicking back, watching TV, baking, whatever she chooses to do. Um I'm excited to say that we have hired Miss Angelina who is from Pyasco as our middle school high school um counselor. Miss Grace Saraga also retired. I believe she has 28 I'm going to look at or 30 >> 30 years. >> Um so I'm going to say she looks
012really good for her. 30 years in education is what I'm going to say. Um I also wish her uh well I mean it's a welldeserved putting 30 years that's quite a bit of time. We have moved Miss Stephanie Null who was a teacher at the um high school is now our elementary counselor. Miss Lao Hagen who came out of retirement and came back into retire uh to work for us for two years and we're really excited about that. She decided to go back into retirement so we're excited about that as well. We have Mrs. Lopez who has taken over the her position and then probably a little bit more. um Miss Katrina Ortiz who also had retired came back from retirement and finally she decided you know what I'm going to retire. So we've also
013been here a while I know that she said that she's been out camping. U Mr. Null is also teaching that um high school English class that she was teaching. U Miss Kathy Martinez um we lost her as well. She is staying home at this time. We have hired Miss Erica Krasco for that in that position. I'm going to say that was a move. So we hired Miss Eric, we moved Miss Selena Chakon to fourth grade and we placed Miss Erica Karasco in kindergarten because she has a first grade. Sorry, >> I'm just moving people in different places. Um because of her lensure, she's in her early childhood, so she's licensed K3. uh Miss uh Veronica Dominguez um she has decided to go back to school so we're pretty we're excited for her. Uh we've hired
014Miss Mariah Cordova um to be the elementary secretary. Um Miss Auro Gonzalez um she had to leave the district due to some health issues. Um we all keep him in our purse. Um, we have hired Miss Taylor Harris um for that high school custodian position. U Miss Amy Don uh also worked on her admin license. She accepted a position of dean of students in Espanola. We're really excited for her as well. I've been checking in on her to see um how she's doing. She's doing well. Uh her position was filled by Miss Mary Bissell. Um, in addition to that, we have hired Isabella Boya for a as a special education EA, Miss Melissa Arua for as an EA. Um, and in addition to that, we have, and I'm going to say these are probably not
015all correct right now, but Miss, um, Lexi Muffin for our head volleyball coach, and I know there's more and I put some of those on our in my board report. Um, Vincent um, has resigned as maintenance, but he is still one of our bus drivers. We also uh Miss Patialia is now our middle school Spanish teacher. Let's see if there's any other changes that Mr. Gordary. >> Oh, my gosh. M uh we've hired him as our history teacher. Miss the one that Miss Montoya was I do have him here. Um, oh, and then Miss Laurel Lee, we hired her as our community schools um, coordinator. So, we're very excited about that. Mr. GMO Atensio was hired as our varsity girls basketball head coach. And going to make sure that I'm not forgetting anyone missing it
016because that goes quite a bit. >> Yeah. So, um I was happy and I'm going to say this with the exception that you know now we need a cook again, but we did start um the school year fully staffed. Um if you guys know of anyone that wants to be a cook, >> please call him to apply. >> The vacancy was Miss Jolene Romero for the cook. >> Yeah. So, Mr. Oh, I guess I should say that too. So, Mr. Jolene Romero, this was after two, uh, resigned and then we were able we were able to hire Miss um >> Pamela >> and then Pamela resigned. So we have So we did have a position. >> Um, I also want to mention from my board report, if I may, um, I really want to recognize
017our leadership team. um not just the two of you Mr. um Goodway Miss Martinez but Miss Lauri Martinez Miss Jennis Studon um Mr. Rino Mashiva Sandovan you know we started off the year with a planning and I was trying to get all of that um for the board to kind of see what that took. We had a very lengthy um meeting in how we were going to move forward with the goals that the board has set forward and it's good to see all of them or and I'm going to say all of us working as one um and how we're going to meet the goals from every different direction from our custodians and our maintenance to our cafeteria staff to community schools both different sites. So we're not splitting our district. We're just one United.
018So, I'm very pleased with that. I also want to acknowledge um our custodial staff. So, Mr. Anthony Mandraon, Mr. Jerome Ortega, and Miss Sheila Sanchez. Um we had some flooding that happened on that on Thursday, July 31st, um in the middle of the night. So, when I drove up on Friday morning, I noticed our baseball field was no longer viewable. So, I was like I thought um we had some individuals who came out of being here. I was like, "What's going on?" When I saw the footage, I was like, "Oh my gosh." So, we started walking around. Um I think Mr. uh Goodway and also Mr. Oh, oh, Anthony. But those group of individuals came in on a Friday. We had so Thursday all of the flooding happened. Friday we had our orientation for our
019teachers. Uh we came in first thing in the morning to some flooding in um the high school building uh classroom part of the hallway. Uh we had some flooding at the elementary in the commons. Um all of our area down here was flooded out. It took down a fence. We had tiles in our yard. Um it >> the track um we had the retaining wall where the caposant the cemetery is um collapsed. Um I'm going to say there was quite a bit of damage that happened. They came in on a day that they're not scheduled to come in um to clean everything up to have our school ready for our students on Monday or for orientation. I'll say staff. for all set to be um rooms to be ready for orientation and students to come
020in that Tuesday. So, I'm going to say um a shout out to them. It took a lot of work. Um they were here for several hours. I also want to um commend Mr. Penel for his leadership. Um he was able to get every everyone in even though he was dealing with living in his own home. So, definitely a team effort. Um, our principles did a quick walkthrough of their buildings were able to find um, leaks. Mr. Google took it upon himself to make sure that areas that were flooded in his in his vicinity or his site um, he wiped everything up, got everything ready, especially that we had staff coming in at 8:00. So, we were believe it or not, after a very long morning of walking through the entire um district, and I did
021share uh photos with you for you could see the the damage that it was it was intense. Um when we saw the video, I was like, whoa. Um so, I just really want to make sure that I give that shout out. Um every claim that we do is a five it's $5,000 for the district and even an act of nature. Um just one of those things that I mean we have no control over. I just want to make sure that I mention that um and giving that shout out and I stand for any other questions on my order. >> Well, I just want to say thank you for updating um updating us with the questions that were asked at the town hall meeting. So, at every town hall meeting or at each town hall meeting,
022we'll have um a time for for individuals to ask questions or write their questions down that that are not on the agenda and then we'll follow them up at the at the next board meeting. Um and I was just curious about the water damage. Is it So, it's $5,000 for every >> clean every claim. So, like this one was one claim. We had some water flooding last week, so that's another claim. So, we've had quite a bit. I believe we've had three of them. >> We have three claims right now. >> So, um regardless if it's our fault or not our fault, um it's a deductible that we have to pay. Um I and I'm not going to go I guess continue. I I want to also acknowledge um the staff that I have up
023here because our orientation was a a successful event in my opinion um and the fe and based on feedback that I received from several teachers that it went very well. I would have been able to pull it off without the help of our our team up here. So um Sanchez miss >> um Miss Shannon and Miss uh >> these name changes your name on >> um so just thank you ladies because and also our principles um stepping in our timing we had extended time as um how we had it and um I'm going to show you the fast acting of our admin. Oh, hey, why don't we do this right away? Get this completed. I think it benefited our teachers. They were very pleased. I said Martinez. Everyone if their name changes um correct myself,
024Miss Martinez. So, just I want to say thank you. It demonstrates the leadership of our team um and the I'm going to say collaborative uh leadership which is important to have. >> Any more questions? >> Thank you, Miss Madam Superintendent. U Madame Chair, uh board members, um we like permission from Miss Sudon. So I know I heard ladies talking earlier. um she's not here today. I have excused her. Her husband was involved in an accident earlier today. Um so I will try I'm going to see if I could defer this a little bit to Miss um to the board president. Hey um I'll just go ahead and give a report on her report. Um so accounts payable vouchers accounts payable payment vouchers are at 527,787 and 80 cents. Payroll vouchers total is 197,76524 and the
025bank ending balance is 2,53672123 and cash balance is 980,745 and um uh from the finance committee Miss Martinez and I attended the finance committee and yesterday and all the bars or the budget adjustment requests were all federal funds and state funds and they were all um at the zero balance. There were maintenance bars and um some decrease bars but they all they were all in check. And I asked um Miss Duran, aside from the budget adjustment requests, were there any any significant modifications to the budget and she said everything was was on target. >> Did you want to end with me some? >> No, I'm just happy that the district's going to get a new bus. So, um, it's not it's not a athletic bus, but at least it's a new bus, so we need
026it. And it's exciting that we're starting to get some some news new things. And we'll be talking about that more in the one of the agenda items. >> Thank you, M. Martinez. You're welcome. >> And I know that she's not here today, but I do want to commend her. Um, I don't know if you guys were able to see, uh, she created the document that had all of our different, um, grants that we received and how they're allocated. And then, um, they'll change as we start using the money. >> I can ask if there were any any questions, board members, or I'm not sure that able to answer them, but we could have we could have noted and asked this through. I guess I could ask that. Um, if there's any questions on um, the
027financial report, I would be happy to get back to you with the correct responses. >> I My only concern was um, they the I don't know what what athletic department did a fundraiser with BB's beer and they didn't raise too much money with that. So maybe looking into different fundraisers that actually make money instead of having paid them because it was only a portion of what they sold. So for me, I really think that I mean lessons are learned and you know, but um it's good beef jerky, don't get me wrong, but you know, we're supposed to help, >> right? So that kiddos. Yes. >> Yeah. Because it was kind of disappointing to see. >> I will mention um I'm excited and I don't know if she shared this with you guys with you all
028in the um finance meeting. uh we received a 100,000 um grants for our work and workace learning um and for students so that are in CTE this way we get that certificate of completion um and that hands-on learning so that's a quite a bit of money um we originally were given 81,000 um based on our district size uh they reached out to me and they offered us the 100 so we accepted it And we also received 150,000 for um math. So I'm very excited about that as well. Uh that is really stationed to middle school high school. So we will be u meeting to see how how exactly we're going to use that based on how they've gotten this written. So sweet. >> Congratulations. Yeah. chair. Um, under item seven, presentation and discussion, we do
029have property, we have Miss Priscilla Lopez. >> Uh, hold. Are we ready? >> Not yet. >> Okay. So, we have Mr. um Dr. will be um presenting. >> Thank you, Madam Chair, president, members of the board. >> Um the last time we were here, we talked about um submitting costs for our schoolhouse to in order to to forward the process of acquiring it. So, today we're here to discuss that a little bit. I'd like to I'd like to introduce our board. Um this is Florence Beil. She's our secretary. Josephine Lopez is our secretary. I'm our treasurer. Dorothy Lopez Sherman is our vice president. I'm the president and John Vill is our member at large. Um so that's our current board. So after the meeting um I signed a um >> guess it was called the
030occupational agreement or something like that that said that as long as we're using a facility as long as we're using the the building that's how we're going to proceed until it's decided how it's going to you know >> who the owner is going to be. Right. So what we're here today to do is to present um this is for you guys a list of and these are just estimates because you asked us for estimates of what cost we have incurred so far on the school and what is uh >> that's the one we're submitting for you and then I'm getting you guys. >> Thank you. But so the first page just shows different things that we have had done to the schoolhouse up to now. Um and some of the costs we know for sure
031some of the costs we estimated. Uh we did ask for public input from the community of people who had been living there and helping with the projects at the time. We didn't get very much response from any of those people. So we kind of had to uh just estimate ourselves. So these are things the first like I said the first page some of those are concrete because we knew we spent that much money on those. Um the second page is a projected expenses from 2025 and on. Uh the building is in pretty bad shape. Uh it's going to need total repair. Uh inside the walls are starting to crumble and we have one wall that is a a retaining wall and it's shared with another building. So that's another issue we have. Um the electricity
032is pretty bad and comes and goes. So that is going to have to be redone. Um we have uh hopefully once we can rewire the place then we can install Wi-Fi and make it you know a place where people can come and and get things done and and use it as a community center. But right now we were pretty limited even just with the electricity. Uh we're not able to turn heaters on in the winter because it shorts things out. We have a wood heater that we did replace this this year because we needed something more efficient. But um so that's what we're presenting to you now. If you I don't know where we go from here. >> Um so Miss Lopez, just to let you know on our end, but what we're waiting for
033is uh an appraisal from uh Mr. um he was out on vacation for quite some time, but we're looking at maybe the next three to four weeks is what he had told us. >> Um so once we get that, then we could start moving forward on our end. Um and now that we have this, we can put um send this out to our attorneys. >> So with this new appraisal that he's going to do, how long is the appraisal good for? >> Usually one year. It's dependent on the market. So usually after one year it won't happen anymore. And the appraisal is the board decided to have him appraise the two sections separately. >> Two sections being >> the building and the roadway. >> Oh okay. Um other question I have is how many appraisals
034have you had done already? So I on that property when I spoke to the So I'm just kidding. When I spoke to the attorney looking at you miss I apologize. Sorry. Um miss so I'm going to defer some of the questions to Miss Annette because she's been a part of this at the very beginning but when I did speak to the attorney they didn't have another appraisal on record. So this for us would be the first appraisal. Um, I will let you know because the the board and I and our attorney have already gone through the process or a similar process of with another piece of property, I think. And based on what the attorney told us, we're hoping that we can move it >> quickly hopefully. >> Okay. >> Well, are you going to
035need anything else from us before you proceed with that part? Um, I would say if you have, so I know that these are just estimates, but if you do and are as concrete as possible, but if you do have any, um, exact receipts would be great. Um, >> oh, yeah, we do have some for some of the 2024s, we do have. >> So, if you do have that, if you can get that to us, um, I would like to send everything together. So, whenever you drop it off, that's when I will send everything to them. We if I need anything else um either myself or Miss Annette will reach out to you and let you know. >> Okay. >> Um but as far as I know, I believe this is the only thing that we
036need right now and then just the appraisal. I think we have everything else on me. >> You guys bring up. No, but Madame President, uh um Madame Superintendent, members of the board, thank you so much for for hearing us today because we have been through this process for many years now and our building is getting um it needs a facelift really bad. And so the longer we we take to make this come to fruition, the sooner our building will fall apart. So, we appreciate you doing what you can to get this ball rolling. >> Great. Thank you. Thank you. >> Thank you. Thank you for coming. >> Yes. So we are going to actually take a short recess to um please um do I hear a motion to take a recess? >> Yes. Miss Patricia
037Martinez. Yes. Miss Caroline. Yes. send him a reminder. >> A reminder. So it was Maxim first and then >> so we are taking a recess at 6:39 p.m. >> I send you number. >> How long is the recess going to be for? >> The goal is 15 minutes. >> 15 minutes. >> Yes. Miss when you get an opportunity um maybe because we schedule a time with you to come in for Miss Laur. >> Oh yes. Okay. I apologize. I'm not there but yes. >> Or would I be able to send in a photo? >> Yes. I can send it to her right now if she want like >> sorry those online will be back in 15 minutes. >> Thank you everyone online and those in the room. We are back from our recess at 6:50
038p.m. >> Um, madame chair, at this time um, I we have a under presentation and discussion is graduation requirements from Mardo Martinez. Um, and I know Mr. Glay left. I did ask him to show up today. I wanted to introduce him as our leadership. So, as you guys know, he's our elementary principal, middle school, high school um, principal, Miss Martinez. And I apologize for the Travis. I will get better with that. Um, so I want to let the board know that we have so we brought the um graduation requirements and I know that it got approved prior, but there's a couple of things that Miss um Martinez is going to be presenting that we can need your input. >> So uh for President Grant um members of the board and superintendent Gonzalez, thank you. Um,
039I'm sharing with you and you should have received in your board packet this document. Um, graduation requirements in the state of New Mexico change over time and so um, no, she's going to put him in. >> Okay, my apologies. Um, we've been running um, we've been running crazy. A couple of emergencies. So, um, graduation requirements changed for the state of New Mexico, um, which blocked back some of the requirements for, um, testing and assessments, um, demonstrations of competency. Um, they also increased the number of credits that we need for students for social studies. So, four years of social studies are required. Um and then um they walked back the requirement for um algebra 2 to be completed by students but it still needs to be offered. We still for graduation requirements um need to offer
040CTE courses and the opportunity for students to participate in dual credit um honors advanced placement courses. Um but the requirement for students to participate in those classes are is no longer a part of um graduation for our current freshmen. So our 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students still fall under the previous graduation requirements and the um high school is set up to make sure that they meet those requirements. But for our freshmen, there is one additional requirement that was not part of um our previous um practice for graduation. And that is that each district, the LEA, the school board um is to designate two classes that are required by the district for students to complete in order to meet their graduation requirements. And so this evening I present to you um and it will be
041in your board packet a list of courses that um I um from my experience and meet the needs of our students um the recommendation to um select from in order to meet that LEA requirement. Um I will share with you my um experience here in Pyaso has been um really focused on the graduate profile and the capstone course. And so I strongly recommend that the capstone course which is um and then these this is um just so that you know this is our stars or NOVA codes for courses throughout the state. So every class requires a code and a description and that's what you have in front of you. So we we need to select from those courses. Um number 2240 the capstone and community is that capstone course which has already um establish um
042instruction at the school. We have students who have already completed the capstone. And so by making this the LEA required, we would just ensure that all students go through that process and have that support in order to complete the course and it becomes a graduation requirement. Um the other courses that are listed here align with our early college um high school initiative to ensure that our students are ready for college. They have access to dual credit courses and also addresses some of our concerns with students and their ability to navigate um the digital world. So included in here are items like cyber literacy, college success, um contemporary world issues, there's a social science class, keyboarding, and general computer applications. Any one of those courses would help support our students in their next steps after um
043high school completion. And so those are the ones that I'm in discussion with other districts um having sat on some conversations with graduation requirements from um last year um districts are looking at these types of courses to help support their students um their goals after they graduation. um the school board determines which those two courses are and then um on our end at the high school we ensure that those are offered to our students and that they complete them within the um programming for 9 10 11 and 12. Do you mind going over what a capstone is? So the capstone course is something that's become much more um I think relevance and prevalent within the state of New Mexico. The capstone course is an opportunity for students to work with community members, identify an area
044of focus. This might be something that they want to study when they go to college or careers that they're interested in. And it's a collaboration between the school district, the teacher who's teaching the capstone, and then our community members so that the students have that opportunity to build a resume, if you will, um in that specific area. Some examples have been students who do um outreach to uh with community partners um to address homelessness or um displaced families. We've had students across the state who work with their tribal communities in order to um strengthen their cultural um their cultural relationships and then also bring that into the school. Um so there's a variety of ways that students can um complete the capstone and the guidelines are very general in that we have a teacher who
045facilitates that and supports them through that process. So the research, the community connections and then um they at the end of that are able to present their work, their capstone to a panel of educators as well as community members to demonstrate what they've learned. And so the capstone really um brings together all of the work that they've done um sometimes incorporating coursework and internships that they've done starting in the ninth grade. And so the flexibility there is for our students to identify what they want to study. Um but then with the guidance of a teacher on campus to make sure that they aren't kind of lost in that process. >> Yeah, I it's a great idea. Have you with your experience have you seen that if there's an individual who is maybe not a self
046self motivator or self motivated do they have you seen success and maybe they come along the way as they get pushed out there to yes >> to do so the the initiative really begins when they are freshman and those conversations about what their college and career goals are after graduation so they can begin develop um ideas um what they want to research for their capstone. And then once they have that guidance um when we actually have them in the capstone class, the teacher themselves is there to guide that and provide a structure, a framework for them to be able to complete the uh the capstone. >> Yes. And students have a lot of flexibility in their topic. So it's something that means something to them rather than us telling them this is what you have
047to do. They find something that motivates and inspires them. And that's really the goal of the capstone is a teacher who can just guide them and the student finds what they're interested in. We currently have some students who are doing internships with woodworking. Um our culinary program. We have students who are interested in pursuing welding. Um our wildlife and our science programs. Those are all opportunities for them to complete a custom and so they just tailor it to what they are interested in. >> Thank you, Miss Mc. So last year um and I tried this last year last year at one of our board meetings. Um so we do have um there was a grant that we applied for I believe when Miss was here the last year that she was here that we partnered
048up. So we applied for the grant and then they selected I mean the committee selected somebody from the community that they we could work with and they had selected Miss Curry so she's a big part of that already. So in working with Miss Null and with Miss Oakrand we already have some students that have started the capstone. So this wouldn't be new to Pyasco um and some that have already completed. So, some of our seniors from last year, um, my recommendation is the 240 as well. And I think it also puts that back on the students. So, if they find something, so this could also be used as a um, lose my trail of thought there as part of that graduation requirement if they're not making the grades for it. So, am I correct with
049this or am I not? That's how it was going before. So the capstone currently the way the high school credits are structured is students have if they're passing all of their classes they go beyond the 24 credits that are required for graduation. Um this would be an opportunity to potentially recover one of those credits if they were behind. And then also the students they're picking something that they're interested in with guidance. And so um the way it's been structured in other school districts um it had previously been used as a way to meet graduation requirements um when um they didn't meet a standard graduation pathway. Now we're shifting this as an opportunity rather than um because the graduation requirements have changed so much. It just gives more flexibility for the students and it also gives
050so students can so maybe if they're looking into the community and if they see something that you know they would like to change they have the opportunity. So maybe they're um they feel like I'm sorry just because you're right there. >> Um maybe they're they feel like we don't have enough u medical healthcare or maybe there's not enough dental um or maybe they feel like the community doesn't use the resources that we have then they can build um their capstone around that. How can we how I mean and it's up to them to figure out it's a pro their problem. I see that um we have this many people in Pasco only a certain percent who's going to central or going to um get dental services Dr. um how can we get more people um
051involved in that then they can use that as a founding and then find a way maybe it's advertising maybe I mean whatever they they choose to present it then it's presented to the to a committee >> yes so they complete the the work um for example if we're using the healthcare um students could use their capstone as an opportunity to just create um more community outreach reach and awareness. So even though we have the resources available in the community, maybe the problem that they've identified is that people don't know about it. They don't know when they can go, they don't know how to go, or maybe they just focus on the high school students and say, "Our middle school, high school students need more of that information." So they do the work. Um they collaborate
052with our community partners and then at the end they do a presentation of all of the the work that they completed throughout that capstone time. I do have one question. Yes. Um I know that it's been said that we've been using Capstone recently or throughout the years, but if we were to select Capstone for future, would we have to hire another teacher to particularly? >> So there's some flexibility in our credentiing with our our licensing with some of our teachers who have the training as well as the ability to lead the capstone class. Um, again, staff movement is one of those things that we would always have to adapt to, but based on our current staffing, we would be able to provide the capstone. I will say some of the other courses because we do
053have to select two, um, we may need to utilize our dual credit program and or our online adminum, which is our online coursework, as a way to fill in that gap. Um it is as you know very very well our financial report it's hard to hire new staff members specifically but we also have some uh staff members who have a very diverse lensure which allows us some flexibility and um that attempt to match it. we do have options. And with the capstone that's currently going on, you mentioned welding and all there's other types of, you know, future employment opportunities for our students that don't want to go to college. Um, would it be possible with the with the uh merge, I guess, or the communication we have going on with Miss Power Lopez to be
054able to utilize her resources more um so we can, you know, apply this for our students. So some of the capstones that were completed last year were all through Miss K and um in collaboration with Miss Oaken and Miss and that's the intent was to build that into something that's um a permanent structure rather than an option for our students. Um, and it gives them that that community connection that I know a lot of our our students enjoy and they like the participation in the community at large and we would utilize um her to kind of make sure that we're connecting students in the collaboration >> and we would we're required as long and we are as well that we collaborate together. That's how the grant was written is that it has to be done
055that way. Um and if not she could lose all the funding and we don't want that to happen for her either. >> Thank you. >> So you mentioned there were on the online too. >> Yes. >> So we do currently have um access to a series of online courses. We need use that currently for credit recovery and then also for students to kind of access coursework that we don't have teachers in building in person to teach and so admin is currently the program that we use. There's a variety out there but we could also use that as one of our other courses if we don't or other options if we don't have the staff who have the correct lensure. So, for example, and I and this is just we do, but general computer applications would
056be one of those examples where if we didn't have a staff member who could teach that, then the students would take the course online or we could find something comparable with um our um postsecondary partners, UNM cows, um Northern um Luna, you know, any one of those could be where the student takes that course and then we just make sure that they've completed that course and then if we're using the capstone those would be the two that they're required but any one of these would be something that would benefit our student as long >> so you said um they could do it like through UNM >> okay they have a comparable class depending on which one a good majority are >> well I'm just curious when um where would the student be taking that. So,
057um there's some flexibility in how that works for our current students who are taking dual credit and then the online coursework. Um if it fits within their schedule in the middle of the day, um we do have some teachers who oversee that coursework. Um they monitor just to make sure the students are making progress. And so there's a physical space in the building. We have a licensed teacher who just monitors and oversees the students. But the course is ongoing and we do that for some of our students who are giving dual credit as well even though they have an actual instructor. We're still providing that support for our students because they're working remotely or virtually. So that could be on campus and then for some of our students if they're doing dual credit they actually
058go to the course and so they have that time block um removed from their schedule and then they they're released. um we call it off-campus and so the students are actually able to leave to to that to that course if it's a live course. So it just depends um there's a lot of flexibility for the students. >> Thank you. >> So we're doing nice signals here. um just um this way the board is also aware the college success and once again this is the board's decision but I do want to let you know that we do have some things in place already so like the capstone with Miss Lopez um and that grant that has already been written um this is I believe our third year in it and then also the college success we
059do partner up I believe it's with Luna um with that as well and if I may um superintendent and the college success also aligns very closely with um a lot of the work that's done in the classrooms for AVID and that preparation for students and so there's a blending of what's already being done in the building with um just being a little bit more focused on the college portion of it. Um part of the AVID coursework for seniors and juniors is really looking at what they want to do in those next steps. And so that would align with programming that we already have on campus and then just allow us to shift it a little bit to be more focused. >> Um, as far as course ID 1073 communication skills, um, do we have something
060to implement in 3000 that are already being done for students? >> So we currently have um a journalism class and then we have our film video which are similar to a communication skills. um they both take different um routes for the instruction piece. Our film video is more of the recording and students do tea time where they interview and then they post those videos. They're available for the community. Um that is one version of uh communication skills. But then we also have the journalism class which is more from that writing perspective. And so we do have something in place already. um we would just shift it a little bit like I said with the college success to more uh align it with the requirements that we have here. >> So this question so we will
061be uh being back to the board um for approval next month. Um, >> it it just seems hard to choose now now that you've explained them and they all seem fun. Um, so >> and and I I just want to share the selection that's here is is flexible for the school. It's flexible for our staff and it's flexible for programming that's already in place. And so there's there's a lot of opportunity here for us to just build and shift a little bit rather than recreate or start from scratch. So that's why this list of courses was selected because it aligns with the initiatives that are already part of the middle school and school because it's a continuum. We don't want students to just get to high school and not have the preparation um for those
062high school courses. So, we're definitely bringing that conversation back into our middle school so that the students are aware of and have some some idea and the skills that they need in order to be successful. >> Anyone good to go? >> Thank you. Um, Madame Chair, uh, Nick and board members, I Nick on our list is I'm sorry, we didn't Miss Gwen, was there any questions from you? >> No. Can you hear me? Oops. >> Yes, >> I touched on. Okay. No. No. I really think it's a really good uh a really good program. Um, you know, I'm all for it. I think it's really good. >> Thank you. Um the next on our um agenda in item seven, presentations and discussion is a school board mandatory training requirements. Um so we received we received
063an email um from the NMSBA and um it was it was just for review. She wanted to let us know where we stand in our in our training beds, our training hours. And um she said that she that well here's here's the deal. We just want to make sure that we are aware that our our credits are going to affect our our our school report. So, which is now called um NM or New Mexico Vista dashboard and it's a what that does is it showcases the school performance. So, um on our school report card if you know we want to make sure that we're we're taking the credits that we're supposed to take. So, for a first term schoolboard member, it's two hours in each um category and there's five categories. That's 10 hours. And
064then um for a second term and and above that's going to be five credit hours or hours and that's going to that could be in any of the categories. So for example this training or it's not training but it's the regional is it region two that's coming up that would be um re three hours that goes for three hours. So so that's that's cool. Uh, so what's it was just a review. It hasn't been sent to the to the report card yet, but she wanted to know where we stood and if there's any discrepancies in your hours, then let me know or let Miss Gonzalez know. Any questions about that? >> How many credit hours do we need? >> Five. You would need five. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Christmas. You would need 10. And I
065believe the training year it goes from September 1st to August 31st. Okay. I just want to reiterate that it does affect our visas scoring. So currently our high school is a spotlight school. So the second to the highest um ranking that we can get and then the other three schools are traditional. So we're right in the center. Um, so if you guys can help us raise those up, that would be great. Any questions, Miss Simone? >> Oh, no, not at this time. No, I'm looking at the report. Well, the what they sent to us and I feel like I'm in line with everything right now. >> Yep. Yep. Good. Okay. >> Thank you. >> You're welcome. That was just a quick and easy just an update. Um, madame chair, uh, board members, the next thing
066that we have on our, um, agenda is item seven under presentations and discussions, the NMSP, uh, NMSPA policy advisories. We're going to be looking at um, policy 27872. uh first reading. Um we will be having these on our agenda um at least five every single time that we come. So be be prepared for that. Uh with some that we're going to just be reviewing and then some new ones. So anything that we get from the policy um advisory is just they're advising us. Um this is something that we may want to take into consideration. uh the one that I'm presenting uh to you guys today. Uh this is based off of a lawsuit that was won Muhammad Muhammad if I'm saying that right versus Taylor um with the Supreme Court. It was something that was
067won. So because of that, this could come back. So if there's ever a lawsuit or anything, they will always refer back to this case. Um so just some some things that are important for us to have. This is actually um I think an easy one. So, we selected something easy this time around. So, the first one we have is a policy advisory uh 270. It's EG a copyright and I'm sure you guys remember how you're not supposed to make copies of certain books um all of that good stuff. So, we already have this policy in place. Um the only thing that with this policy advisory is that there is some change in language. Um and this is dealing with AI. So it says um so the changing that they did it says all surround and
068miss on the let's see one two maybe from the third page right there. You can highlight that little section. Um al all sound recordings including uh phonographic record records, audio tapes, compact discs, laser discs will be treated under the same provision that guide the use of printing materials unless as many as may otherwise be expected by regulations governing the reproduction of the works for library and media. So the recording part but this is so it's just being placed into policy it's report without um the proper permissions from companies let's say >> is that much of a change from what already >> I'm going to say >> they're just adding media because of the AI you know how everything's happening with AI now >> a lot of everything's happening with AI so I mean not They're
069like very minor changes. So nothing so nothing big. Uh the next one that we're going to be looking at is advisory 271. Skip over. Sorry, I have to have all mine um highlighted. Oh, and I guess I should also say that on advisory the first advisory sorry um 270 they and if you go scroll just before it says before you go into the 271 the other thing that they're going to put in there is a cross reference uh UDC use of artificial intelligence and that's the same case for all of these that I'm presenting. Um so with advisory 271 so the change is also the UDC uh use of artificial intelligence um some other changes that are in here is really just simple change of language so um understanding electronic mail um and it's a
070or direct electronic communication so they're removing the word or and they're adding all and AI tool interactions are and removing the word iss are not private and may be read and monitored by school personnel instead of employed persons. So some I mean very minor changes to language. Um there's another change in it. uh they're taking away once again the word or understand electronic mail direct electronic communication and then they're adding the end AI tool interactions are not private so removing the word is and then adding personnel and removing employee persons. So kind of the same thing on all of them. Um, and the last one on this one is I understand and will abide by the provisions and conditions indicated they're adding including those pertaining to the I don't think I finished that. I just
071left it at that to the I understand that uh any violations of the above terms. So it's uh kind of where the students are signing the policy that they not going to do certain things >> right here >> maybe the that was to to whatever >> to the yeah >> whatever it is >> they're doing >> and conditions indicated >> into the >> they should have maybe put to the blank >> blank yes >> then I understand the violation so the signature page for that one looking at advisory three uh 272. We apologize going backwards. So 272 is a new policy. Um and I kind of like highlighted it's not um it's new. It's not something that we already have. Uh this is a use of art artificial intelligence. Some of the things that I
072highlighted uh the use of AI in the education environment shall be limited to to approved educational process that shall com uh comply with all applicable state and federal law regulations, board policies, administrative regulations, and school rules. Um, and I'm gonna So, with AI, in all of the trainings that I've been to, it's not necessarily frowned upon, but you have to use it. You have to be careful because they're having students are going in there and writing a report on X, Y, and Z, and it just pops out a report. Um, we want them to take that some of that responsibility. Um, they could use it as a tool. Um, and something that I advise our staff to do as well when they're typing things in. This way it doesn't sound unprofessional. You put in your
073information in there. Um, and then have it check it, but not to do the whole work for you. Um, there's other stuff about what is un unacceptable uses of all AI and then there's quite a bit of stuff submitting AI generated context. Kind of what I was saying. um using it to threaten or intimidate others, uh using it using AI tools or platforms during class for school work. So, we don't want to take away from their learning, our students learning. We want them to still own that. So, this just helps us make sure that we're we're not tying the hands of our our teachers. Um it's a good tool. Technology is consistently changing, but we also want our students to learn. Um something else was uh data privacy and security. So when district members are
074using it that they're not putting confidential or sensitive information um breaking or bars. Um and then training. So the required training for our personnel with AI as well. >> So yeah, like it said it you could write an IEP with >> Yes. >> with AI and be very careful with that. Um, so and I can tell you based on once again trainings that I've attended, some of the issues that they've seen with AI and I'll use the IEPs as you mentioned it. Um, so when they put the information, I mean, it's still a a computer. It doesn't know and it can't differentiate for you. And so sometimes it has the wrong person's thing in the IEP. So if you're not reading that very carefully, it can have so maybe the IQ is for me and
075it has a net because they did a nest with it prior. So you have to be very very careful on how you're using um artificial intelligence. It's not the solve all um these are the policies that I'm asking. This is the first reading. I will be bringing this back to the board for a second reading. Um some of this like I said it's things that have already we already have in um place with the exception of the new one with the full AI and then on the other ones the adding of AI the use of AI for any questions policies how will it be deducted if they are using AI >> there's actually a you can purchase um and I think too If a teacher knows their student and they're they're writing in class and
076they get something from them that >> then they're they're going to be like, "Yeah, >> can you write this in class?" And we've already seen it happen. >> So it's not like it's not happening. We've already seen it. Um, and I'll I'm going to speak for myself when I was um so professor for UNM when I would read some of those reports I would like I read the last one that's not the same or I would ask questions in class tell me a little bit more about your report and they couldn't respond so they're not even reading it. So it's being used um we just need to be very careful on how it's being used. Once again, it's a toll. Um, I said this about the cell phones. You know, it's a new generation and
077um there's things that they also need to know when and how to use them correctly. >> It did it did say that if um the AI is used that it needs to be cited on the paper. >> Yes. So that's how it could be used like say a portion >> as a tool and but that would have to be cited on the paper >> any questions um before we move forward. Um, like I said, we're going to be reviewing a lot of uh policies and all of the from here on out. I'm going to say um some old ones that we're going to be reviewing. And I think it's a good um and Miss Sanchez and I were talking about it earlier, it's good practice for for myself and for all of us to know
078what the policies are and then anything that we get from um the advisory policy. I mean, it's kind of to there to protect us. >> Last question. So when we get these from you are we looking for only the strikes and the underlining started reading the whole thing. >> No those are the changes any of the strikes and like if you look like on these ones they have a little comment so you know that this is something that they're looking at zone >> into there's no way I could have read all of that. >> Good job. You bet all but it's good because I'm new. >> It is. It wasn't a lot of time but now I go I skip it. I guess is what I do. Um but it's good to read them all.
079We're trying to >> Awesome. Miss, I was going to say um if you're in policies and you find something that it isn't right or working, then you can let Miss the two ladies know because then we can update that as one of the updates. >> I'm actually going to talk about that with one of the things on our one of our items here. >> Yes. >> As an example. All right. quite a bit. Sorry. All right, madame. Madame Chair, we have an action item uh item eight, the bus uh purchase. Uh we did get granted um from PD funds to purchase a new bus. Uh we've already gotten the estimate and because it is over the thresh, we do need board approval for it. I'm sorry. I need to pull it up. >> Oh, sorry.
080>> Over the threshold is is it 60? >> Yes. So, this is actually 126,263. >> So, because of the amount >> um we do need a board of people. >> Actually, it's not that they may go all the way down. Okay. 155 478 So we um Miss Martina and I were in the finance committee meeting. We asked about the funding for >> for the buses and Miss Janice mentioned that it was actually PED that is >> purchasing >> and letting us know that we need to get the new bus. So after so many years, our buses um retire too many miles and so this is one of those cases. I can't recall which bus do you do you remember Miss which bus this one will be replacing? >> No, I don't remember. >> So we
081have to replace it. >> The bus stays here with us. Um the old bus will stay with us. We just get what we do >> a new one. So we will have to decide at some point. Some of them are not there yet, but once they reach a certain age level, then we decide if we're going to auction. >> Somebody can make a fun house out of it or build a employee house in the bus. >> So, Miss Janice did say that we would pay the school, the district would pay 1,200. >> Yes. Love it. Love it. >> How many buses do we actively have right now? >> Jeez, >> we have a lot by route >> route and two um activity. I think it's by route and two activity >> and two activity. However,
082we can't use I mean you mentioned it. It would be nice if it was an activity bus. Unfortunately, we can't use our route buses for activity. So, like if this is a route bus, this is a route bus. We could only use it for route. We cannot use it for activity. >> So, like the activity buses are down. Um, we don't have a choice. We can't use these ones. I think it's good for us to have there's a couple of our buses that we've been having issues. So, it becomes very costly. Um, and the funding um from transportation did get cut. So, if we have a new bus, it's so I mean it and it's still going to cost us um some I mean the 12,000 for the front and rear uh skirt mounted AC
083driver, the dashboard. Uh we also have to have cameras in there. So, there's things that we still need to put in there and I'm not sure if all that's included in >> I thought those options >> we have to pay the options. >> So, we have to pay for the TRO to be in there. It's uh by law we have to have the cameras in the buses >> and it's also a safety. >> Looks like it's included. >> Cameras are in there. >> Yeah, they included it. >> That doesn't happen. >> I'm happy >> and the air conditioning front and rear cameras. I'm I don't know if it's like the front on the outside and the rear on as you're backing up. So if it if that's what it is, we still need to get
084the ones that go in the insights. >> And then we'll have to also get a vector unit for it as well. Not vector. >> No. Um >> where they do their pre-imparon. We've been talking a lot about vector trainings. >> So can I ask another question? So um Miss Janice said that we probably actually wouldn't get the bus till next year. Yes. So, if it's approved, then we would start the process um in order for us to move forward, but it wouldn't be ready for us to use it until next year. >> It takes them a long time to build it. >> They build it. They don't just have it ready. They have to build it. >> So, this is an action item. Um, you've heard the recommendation to approve the purchase of of the
085bus. Is there a motion? >> Moved by Misaga. Second. >> Second by Miss Simalo. Any further discussion? Roll call, please. Miss Glenn Simalo, >> yes. >> Miss Monique, yes. Miss Patricia Martinez, yes. Miss Caroline. >> Yes. Board has voted to approve the purchase of the bus. Motion carries. >> Thank you. >> Um, next on our item is the adoption of the board calendar. Um, I will defer this to you, Miss Gr. >> So, um, you had the opportunity to look at the board calendar. Were you able to get in there, Miss Ma? >> I was. >> Okay. So, hope everybody was able to get into the the board calendar on the drive, the share drive. And so, what this is for um and we will get our training on it with um Miss Yolanda Cordova
086through CES, but we need to adopt the calendars to approve um that we are uh making the recommendation to to use the calendar and to to for progress monitoring. Those dates are there. And then following is the evaluation dates for um superintendent and that is to to monitor growth toward the vision and then we will um do superintendent evaluation to follow the progress monitoring >> madam tri I also believe that it's just a it's a nice thing to know what's coming up as well >> um when the board meetings are going to happen um when we're going to be discussing the data. Um I think >> it's definitely a tool that can be can be very useful and I think it it also offers up accountability so that we are um making sure that we
087are following through with our with our board governance student outcomes. I think I believe also when um we will be doing some board evaluations, self- evaluations as a board, we could probably add those on there also. So, at a at a later time and you guys do have access to it. So, if you guys wanted to add things to it, um you it's belongs to you. I just went in um just to try to help you, you know, like start it off. So, I went in and I've added all of the um work dates um based on our conversation u with Miss Grant and with Mr. Wanda. I've added u when we're going to be doing their data reviews and our town hall meetings are in there. So, I I try to add as much
088as I could to start it off. >> This does not have the days of like school closure like holidays. >> I don't have any of that in there. >> Okay. But it's fairly simple to to place them when I when I have time. I haven't even did them on my own. I think maybe it would might be a good idea to have a designated person to to add just because um or just to share with the board. we're going to add just so it's not like one day you see something's not there and then the next day it's there and we're not aware of it. So we could probably come up with some maybe guidelines in the manual in the in the board manual. I'm going write myself a note on that. Any other questions
089or comments? Um, Miss Visa, I will add um if I have time this weekend, I will add the calendar in there. This way, it just makes it easier for you guys to know. And I think it's good, especially if we have community members asking dates that school may not be happening and you guys can just double check. >> Great. Okay. >> So, you've heard the recommendation to approve the board calendar. Is there a motion? >> So, moved by Martinez. >> Second by Miss Bisaga. Any further discussion? Roll call, please. >> Miss Lambolo. >> Yes. >> Miss Monique. >> Yes. Miss Patricia Martinez. Yes. Miss Carol. >> Yes. Okay. The board has voted to approve the board calendar. Motion carries. >> Thank you. Um Madam Chair, I recommend approval of item nine uh consent agenda items

Board has voted to approve the consent agenda items. Motion carries. Madame Chair, uh, next on our agenda is item 10, items um suggested for upcoming meetings. Um, I wanted to just point this out. Um, as Miss Sanchez pointed out earlier, if there's some things that we want to approve or change with any of within any of our policies, um, this is one. So, I know that it was recommended
091that we remove this item from our agenda, but it is in board policy that we have it in here. So, if we would like to remove it, then um we could bring that up for the next agenda. And I do want to uh just make note that the wording is not correct right now. I think we needed to change it. Um >> do you remember what it was called, Miss Sant? >> Um >> future meetings. For future meetings. Yeah, >> probably normally have it. Future meetings. So, this would be one of those items in policy. If we would like to remove it, then we can vote on that. But just because we do have it in policy, um we kept kept it in there and I apologize because of the the wording was my my
092bad. Um, with that being stated, I guess some suggestions that I do have uh for future meetings would be the graduation requirements uh which will now go into um approval or maybe it was presentation. So, second reading um also the July 15 regular board minutes and there was one more Oh, the NMSBA policy advisories 272 through 272 uh second meeting >> and um the policy uh advisory that 265 to 269 or yeah 265 to 269 >> we missed it for June first. >> That'll be a first reading. Uh just I'd also like to add um our adopt committee to do to work on the board manual. We um met several times and um gotten some feedback from Miss M Miss Yolanda. Uh we hope to have that ready by the next meeting so we could
093do a first a first reading. We would probably like to get that to the board at least two weeks prior. So expect expect that at least two weeks prior so that you have time. It's >> exactly it's a read and so that you can absorb it and and have some notes and um think about think about it and think about what you would want to add or or take out or adjust. >> And it's titled governing council manual. Sure. >> Oh, I don't know. School board. >> It was It was school board according to Ria Dosen that we adopted it from, but I mean you could change it. >> Manual. >> So far I madam chair I wanted to point out right here on the policy service that agenda is an actual policy. So if
094we want to make any changes, we have to review it, make the changes and um then approve it. >> So are we talking about um an agenda? >> So this >> the agenda. >> So this itself and everyone >> this agenda follows this outline this. So, uh, the rective recommendation was to remove item 10. That we didn't meet that. However, because it is part of the policy, we have to follow. I'll take a look at that. Thank you. >> Yes. >> It's a What is it? Which um >> policy B700 BEB? >> Can you scroll up a little bit? Isn't it where it says um the item suggested? Oh, the the language. Oh, future. It's just upcoming was supposed to be future. >> Yes. Is there anything else that you guys would like for us
095to put in the agenda? And also note that you guys if you let us know at least two weeks in advance so we can place it in there. That would be great. Um following today's meeting, I would like to have an update of the flood planes repairs that we talked about. And then an update of the appraisal that I believe was mentioned four to six weeks that it was place. >> Yeah, >> I just checked on that and >> still hasn't. >> We'll check again. Yes. >> What was the first one that you mentioned, >> Miss Claims? Okay. >> I don't know if this is a a good time, but um ask did the substitutes get the their a raise? >> That was on the approval. Okay. >> Yeah, we made sure we edited it
096to the first pay day >> cuz I was asked to to talk about it if we didn't. Okay. >> Right. Thank you. Um at this time u madam chair we have it's um executive session >> we've heard the recommendation to approve or to adjourn into executive session. Is there a motion? Make >> a motion.
