001well good evening everyone and welcome to southside elementary home of the mustangs tonight though this will be the home of the rock creek bulldogs and this is the week one of the elementary basketball league better known as bcsc ebl really excited to be able to bring you live streaming throughout this season last season shortened due to covet but we're back at it here and we're starting with the rock creek bulldogs hosting the south side mustangs girls then will be followed by the boys tonight's match-up is sponsored by forced construction company force construction company 75 years they're celebrating uh this friday actually having their 75th anniversary ceremony and want to thank forced construction company for sponsoring ebl in this live stream my name is josh burnett i'm the communications coordinator for bcsc and excited to bring
002live streaming to ebl we've got the director of ebl steven shipley here [Music] now before we get to introductions i just want to really quickly remind everybody that this is the edl this is the developmental league these kids have just made the team last week they've had very little time together so it's going to be really important that we as a crowd get behind him and are positive cheer for them and make sure that we understand especially with our officials we are very blessed in the epl to have a group of officials dedicated to teaching these young people how to play organized basketball so let's remember that tonight the officials are going to miss calls and some of that a lot of that is on purpose because they are learning so remember tonight let's make
003sure we try to keep our masses on our good attitudes and let's play some ball thank you [Music] that was ebl director steven shipley taking over after the long and great tenure of dennis pierce we thank dennis for all of his dedication to the ebl program [Music] [Applause] all right [Music] will not be tolerated violators will be removed from the competition site also tonight will be instituting the 25-point rule during all regular season games the score will be kept normally in the first half of play at the start of the third quarter [Applause] number three [Applause] 23 corey jones [Applause] [Music] movies [Applause] hey [Applause] [Music] [Applause] lady bulldogs [Applause] [Music] [Applause] hey [Applause] all right we are almost set to start here on game one of tonight's ebl game of the week doubleheader southside
004mustangs taking on the rock creek bulldogs special thanks to southside for hosting this year's ebl a little known fact most people who grew up in columbus know that south side was once a middle school but in case you're new to the area that is one of the reasons why southside has this a much bigger gymnasium than all the other elementary schools and thanks to principal jeff bockmeyer and assistant principal kathy jackson for all they're doing to host this year's ebl getting ready to get underway and there's the tip-off rock creek takes possession of the ball early dribbles up and down the court passes it off to the left side oh good defense by the mustangs early [Applause] and that'll be five seconds but as we might have talked about you might have heard earlier this
005is a learning league and so something that we'll be working on especially after they just had tryouts last week and and started practicing and so we definitely want to encourage right now these young ladies to continue to learn and and have fun many of them this is their first time uh ever playing basketball organized [Music] and others they've been playing for a couple of years and so [Applause] definitely it's a great opportunity to learn the basics of basketball as well as for the cheerleaders we've got some great squads here from both the rock creek bulldogs as well as the south side mustangs and even though we're still in the midst of covid uh it is nice to get back to a little bit of normalcy watching youth athletics we appreciate everyone for wearing their masks
006while they're in the stands and doing everything that they can to be healthy keep our community healthy and moving forward for those of you who are watching this live stream either at your home or maybe from on a cell phone we really appreciate you tuning in we'll be doing this once a week trying to represent all schools oh yep there's rock creek i want the breakaway and the first two points scored by the rock creek bulldogs south side passes it in [Applause] swarming defense from the lady bulldogs but shot put up oh in the rebound and that'll be a turnover from the lady mustangs [Music] just want to give another shout out to long time ebl director dennis pierce who this year is being succeeded by a great teacher as well as a huge sports
007fan csa lincoln teacher steven shipley and i will update the score there four to zero now for rock creek and [Applause] there's so many people that do work behind the scenes here at ebl and really appreciate everyone who takes the time to volunteer to make something like this happen we've got a lot of supporters in the crowd families it's awesome to see people supporting these young ladies out here on a wednesday night rock creek again oh just a little off the mark shoots again and they continue to pound the boards and the bulldogs take a six to nothing lead south side showing nerves a little early but there's one thing i know about ebl they definitely have a strong program and so we'll look forward to them getting back in this game but early on
008rock creek bulldogs with the six nothing lead over south side [Music] and another turnover early for the mustangs pick up top [Applause] oh [Applause] looks like a turnover this time on the lady bulldogs subs come in for both squads [Music] pass into south side brings the ball up forward on the right side [Music] loose ball oh thought they almost had their first two points this time south side strong on the boards down low see what the mustangs can do here pivots around gets a good look but just a little off the mark good pass down low [Applause] oh and rock creek takes the ball away with another breakaway and rock creek with another two point bucket oh good defense south side able to take away the ball though continue down the court [Applause] [Music] oh
009swarming defense once again by rock creek and they're able to keep up down moving down the course oh just a little off the mark there back to south side [Music] all right see if the mustangs can get back in this game oh [Applause] rock creek brings the ball of the court nice pass down low oh off the mark and south side with it so far rock creek has just done a great job of getting back on defense against these quick south side mustangs oh [Applause] and timeout from rock creek [Applause] again a special shout out to forced construction company for helping sponsor live streams both here at ebl as well as their help in the huddle cameras at both columbus east and columbus north [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] pulling up the rosters here so far
010rock creek bulldogs have been led by tyce jessup she has done a great job moving the ball up and down the court as a point guard for rock creek another name that i'm sure you'll hear throughout the season is number 33 addison dean they make a great high-low combination both at the point guard and center position addison dean her sister gabby a standout basketball player and volleyball player at columbus east who congratulations to her she'll be moving on and playing volleyball at at the big ten level next year so far the rock creek bulldogs still 8-0 here in the first quarter with a minute 40 left to go south side able to get it down the corner but again just solid defense by the bulldogs oh back and forth oh and good defense from dean
011there on the block oh but they'll call a foul [Music] and south side this year is coached by leslie stilibauer taking over after long time southside mustangs lady mustangs coach nate bean has transitioned to middle school basketball i saw him around the court maybe we'll get him up here to make a few comments about what he's seen so far ah [Applause] side passes it in [Music] outside from ellie frazier [Music] nice pass still great defense from rock creek and they get the ball back dean passes it in to jessup [Applause] oh and that's the end of the first quarter so far rock creek eight southside zero as we spoke earlier it is the first week of ebl action and there's the south side mustangs cheerleading squad [Music] [Applause] we're here at the end of the
012first quarter going into the second and i'm joined now by a special guest new ebl director steven shipley how are things going so far in week one well josh it's smooth sailing uh everything's been going really great i think everybody's just excited to be back with some normalcy in the gym watching some ebl basketball so it's been really exciting we started off the week with taylorsville versus schmidt and man that gym was rocking then it's been a really great week and a really great start to things awesome well i know a big thing for you as a teacher as well as the director of ebl is having fun and learning because you talk a little bit about why you believe the ebl league is such a special thing for bcsc to have yeah so we
013actually been focusing on kind of a new marketing campaign with uh really our mission being what we call sportsmanship teamwork and fundamentals with an emphasis on fun we really want to help prepare these young student athletes prepare them for what's to come middle school high school helping them to be the best athletes they can but also focusing on that student piece um we just want to equip them with the tools needed to be successful at the next level and in life so it's been really cool uh kind of taking this over and kind of seeing the inner workings of everything and i know that we've got some really cool things in store for this season and in the future and i'm really excited for what we're going to be able to do awesome well thank
014you so much for your time and your energy and effort i know there's a lot that goes into you know becoming the new director and really appreciate on behalf of bcsc everything that you're doing ship hey thank you and thank you to everybody who supported i want to give a shout out real quick to the former ebl coordinator uh dennis pierce i wouldn't have been able to transition so smoothly without him so dennis if you're listening thank you very much awesome class act really appreciate mr shipley and everything that again mr dennis pierce has done for for quite a while i'm still looking forward to uh hearing his voice at columbus east and uh thank you to mr shipley for coming by to talk for a few moments while mr shipley was given a little
015rundown on ebl southside scored their first bucket and so they've got the zero off the board and you can see the intensity picking up on the defensive side for the mustangs also special shout out to mrs shipley who is our camera person helping me out she saw me doing two things at once and really enjoyed having her and her husband helping out earlier this year at a couple of different football games and i know if you know the shipley's you know that they're serving somewhere so really appreciate it mrs shipley awesome two more points from the bulldogs really impressive start by these lady bulldogs [Music] seven minutes 45 seconds left oh defense gets the ball again but it is a back and forth and that'll be a i'm not sure if that'll be a timeout
016or not what's gonna happen there nope it'll be possession for south side [Applause] inbound the ball south side with it oh but defense from jessup once again [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh so close there for the south side mustangs but knocked away south side will retain possession [Music] hmm knocked out of bounds by the bulldogs six and a half minutes to play in the second quarter still 10-2 rock creek oh nice pass and bounce and good defense but that'll be a foul on rock creek [Music] [Applause] south side inbounds it oh good defense by the bulldogs and that'll be a foul on south side as i look to my left and to my right i see a couple of principles here both for south side and for rock creek and i'm not sure if you knew
017this or not but october the month of october is national principles month and this week governor eric holcomb has proclaimed that this week is principles week so we want to give a special shout out to all of our principals within bcsc and especially the principles that i see to my left and to my right south side principal jeff bochmeier assistant principal kathy jackson and rock creek principal jennifer detmer thank you all for everything that you do for for being here tonight supporting your students and your families we appreciate everything that you do at bcsc five minutes left to go in the second quarter dean inbounds it to jessup oh and just a little off the mark there south side with it and a shot put up oh rebound from south side oh so close and
018dean comes down with it she pushes the ball up hits jessup oh and just a little off the mark but dean was there on the weak side for the rebound and jump ball will result in a south side possession [Music] oh south side hits backdoor pass oh unfortunately that'll be a travel nice look there from the mustangs [Music] jessup brings the ball of the court and she hits teammate down low but southside comes up with it back to rock creek [Music] jessup passes it [Music] oh good defense there from south side but jessup's back with the ball finds her teammate dean oh and just a little off the mark a little strong there and a good hustle around but it will stay with rock creek dean from outside excuse me jessup from outside able to
019save it finds dean a little short and number 31 grace bethurum has been very active on the defensive side as well as the rebound and she now comes to the free-throw line i believe this is a one in one so let's see if bathurum can convert on this free-throw opportunity oh just a little strong there from grace it is a learning league for everyone and gotta make sure to not kick that ball back in play south side keeps it oh they're able to get it open look and number 11 puts it up that was i believe it's issa pan or isabella with the two-pointer there nice passing able to catch the bulldogs off guard but now looks like they might have the same opportunity oh jessup with the shot and a little strong it will
020go back to south side [Music] south side inbounds the ball 10-4 now snelson had the ball just a second ago pushing it up back to bathurum and it looks like that was out of bounds a minute and a half left in this first half here at south side where all of this season's ebl games will be played tonight rock creek hosting against the mustangs jessup passes to dean they've been an active duo here so far in the first half but ended up going out of bounds there and back to south side into snelson who dribbles it up and good defense from rock creek and a jump ball resulting [Applause] in possession staying with rock creek passes it into dean and a good shot there she converts 12-4 25 seconds left got to get the ball
021in girls and able to hit bethurum who goes up and down the court almost 10 seconds left now back to bathurum she puts it up and it's good and that'll be the end of the first half as i update the score and so far it is rock creek 12 south side six south side came on was able to get a couple of points in that second quarter able to pull within six but so far rock creek has really shown some experience especially between jessup and dean they've been very active on both sides of the ball jessa being able to distribute the ball also a couple of good shots and then dean most recently with that outside shot and so we're here half time we're gonna take a break for a few minutes in four and
022a half minutes we will be back for the second half of game number one in this ebl game of the week doubleheader presented by force construction company thanks for tuning in lovely [Music] all right we're back here at southside elementary we've got about two minutes until the second half i'm joined now by southside elementary principal jeff bockmeyer how are we doing tonight absolutely fantastic it's a great day to start the ebl for our south side mustangs as i think i heard you say earlier they have had a whopping i believe three practices so uh they're getting to know each other and kind of the expectations and some of our fifth graders are getting their first experience on the big floor so but it's a great way to start the year uh bring about that kind
023of school spirit for both the rock creek bulldogs and the mustangs so we're excited to get things started and we'll get a chance to see the boys here in just a little bit awesome well we definitely appreciate everything you're doing you're here hosting once again you're the hostess with the mostest so for those of you who are watching um mr bachmeier is the principal here at southside and how are things going so far this year really i've been pleased uh super pleased with the school year i think we're all super grateful to be in person and with each other definitely the kids have a great spirit and a great attitude about mask wearing i mean they don't they don't think anything about it i think we're all just grateful to be together and learning in
024person with those opportunities to you know just get better every day so i think that spirit of um just gratefulness of being here in person i appreciate the opportunity to host i mean i gotta say i miss the the ambiance of rock creek gym and and some of our other gyms in the elementary schools here in bcsc but it's nice to give us a big space to to spread out and have the opportunity to play games uh here in one spot so everybody gets a little chance to visit south side and we get to be the home team pretty much all year which isn't a bad thing either exactly well i know it's been a great week here at southside and around all of bcsc we're celebrating national red ribbon week which is about drug
025prevention awareness and i know that it's been a lot of fun here at south side i've seen you in a couple of different fun outfits and really appreciate everything you're doing with that and then also i know for some of you who are watching we've talked about this already but just want to say a special shout out to mr bachmeier mrs detmer and mrs jackson our principals as it is national principals month and just want to say appreciate everything that you do jeff thank you very much i appreciate it it's a pleasure to be here and glad that we can get kids out participating together in bcsc with a little good good sportsmanship and spirit so uh hope you i appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to broadcast these games so that we
026can have parents and grandparents around the country and around the world around the state wherever they may be getting a chance to see their grandkids and their neighbors and their special friends be able to play basketball throughout the year so i appreciate your time and broadcasting this so people can take advantage of seeing those friends and relatives that they have awesome well we're glad to do it and thank you once again for being here we will talk to you i'm sure soon you'll be here all throughout evl and again appreciate everything you do jeff all right well we're here in the second half of the ebo game of the week presented by force construction company it is 12 to 6 8 minutes 54 seconds left dean is at the line and she has an opportunity
027here to extend the bulldogs lead [Music] and just a little off on that first shot [Music] oh lane violation there and it will be south side ball [Music] oh and good defense they're from jessup and she gets the layup nice layup there by tyce [Music] and bethurham takes it down the court [Applause] and rock creek able to wrap her up there nearly eight minutes left here in the third quarter [Music] running clock here seven minutes 48 seconds oh and good defense from the bulldogs once again this time it will be bulldog ball [Music] nice dribble behind the back there from jessup moves it around to dean and good defense there from south side and it will stay [Applause] with the mustangs [Applause] oh and defense and wow jessup once again shows heads up defense they're
028able to convert on the way up [Music] ten point lead [Music] [Applause] good defense from the bulldogs but it'll stay with south side [Music] oh oh and once again jessup with the defense oh just a little strong on the way up but very nice defense there taken back frazier oh just a little off [Music] and rock creek unable to keep it in bounds it'll be back to south side ball 16-6 5 minutes 47 seconds left and defense once again from jessup able to pass the ball up oh and just a little off dean with the three-pointer just a little strong oh it'll turn it back over to the mustangs [Music] and time out here quick timeout from here at southside elementary [Music] five minutes 20 seconds left in the third quarter this is game one
029of tonight's doubleheader between rock creek and southside the boys are up next [Music] south side will have possession of the ball corey jones will inbound it and she passes it into adika shetty who will then pass it to frazier [Music] oh and more good defense by rock creek oh but they unfortunately turn it back over and it'll be south side ball jones will inbound it once again able to hit frazier down low oh and just a little strong and the ball will go back to rock creek [Applause] oh defense from shetty but the referee calls that a foul and madison gourley will inbound it here who will hit jessup nice dribbling from ty's there [Music] oh [Applause] and that looks like a foul from bethurum and a couple shots here for jessup [Music] and just
030a little off the mark on the first rue payne will enter for bethurum for the mustangs number 43. and just a little off the mark and it will result in rock creek ball and the jump ball three minutes 54 seconds left in the third quarter ball will go to south side jones will inbound it hit anna holly she'll bring the ball up and down the court and she'll take a shot uh it's just a little short there ball will go back to rock creek [Music] and defense frazier snelson with the ball and she takes a shot oh just a little off the mark holly passes it oh good defense there from rock creek number 22 oh gets fouled and she will go to the line number 22 sophie engelau will get a couple shots here
031yep [Applause] [Music] oh and just a little off the mark [Music] girls are able to either choose between the 15 or i think it's about the 13. and she makes it there on her second one nice free throw from engel puts them up 17-6 2 minutes 52 seconds left holly dribbles the ball got to cross that center court oh and tice once again oh and just a little strong on the way up oh rock creek able to get another one though see who that was there number 20. madison gourley fraser brings the ball up oh and jessup once again oh no and girly a little strong holly gets the rebound and she takes a shot just a little short girly pass the tingle wow [Music] oh snelson with the defense can't she convert oh yeah
032way to go snelson good defense there from andrea snelson and good job converting they're down low 19 to eight rock creek still in command a minute and 22 seconds left in the third quarter [Music] [Applause] oh payne able to take it away snelson with the rebound frazier and she converts south side making a little bit of a run with less than a minute to go in the third quarter ingle out oh defense there from holly snelson once again playing defense oh so close oh man 34 33 seconds left 19 to 10. [Applause] dean with the inbound that's with the running clock you have to you have to hurry up breakaway oh just a little strong there from rock creek less than 10 seconds and it'll be a jump ball can we get a nope no
033clock stop i guess the ball the clock will continue to run and that's the end of the third quarter 19 to 10 rock creek ahead of south side [Applause] as we enter into the fourth quarter and now the rock creek bulldogs cheerleaders will take the court [Music] all right 10 minutes left in this fourth quarter game one of our ebl game of the week double header presented by forced construction company rock creek will inbound the ball emma armstrong passes it into dean [Music] oh close there south side able to get the rebound pressure pressure from south side and it'll be a jump ball but they will keep possession here [Music] good defense from the bulldogs oh but back to the south side mustangs pass up to bethurham but dean comes down with the rebound [Applause]
034and the ball will go back to south side and madeline hennessy [Music] throw it in but south side unable to keep it and we'll go back to rock creek [Music] and it'll stay with rockery [Music] i'll sit in good defense from south side [Applause] isa pan able to get it but it will stay with rock creek do the jump ball pass it in oh and it'll be south side ball eight minutes 21 seconds left hennessey will inbound it once again throws it into bethurham who is up down the court able to hit number 15 and she converts [Applause] [Music] [Applause] that was a deacon shetty with the two-pointer 19-12 now and south side shows a little energy there with the defense able to tie the ball up it will go back to south side hennessey
035inbounded it once again looking for pan good defense from rock creek and hope they tell them i just need to move back a little bit and find shetty who will take the ball of the court takes the shot oh just a little strong rebound up and a jump ball possession will stay with rock creek [Music] emma armstrong inbounds the ball [Music] and a good take there from rock creek and she will be fouled let's see i think that's number 15. olivia ratliff armstrong to ratliff oh and she's got a two-pointer herself shetty oh and defense there from ratliff she's able to keep it is she yes he is she is oh but back to bathurum oh and then that is the thing that you just never know who's gonna have possession it can be that
036quick good defense there from both teams and jones now will take the ball out finds bethurham passes it up to snelson for thurm takes it to the hole good defense there from dean and another jump ball this time possession will go to rock creek six minutes left in the fourth quarter we definitely have a [Applause] packed house here at south side for both teams ty struggles it up gives it to dean able to hope jones comes down with the rebound [Applause] and gurley with the good defense able to get it oh she passes into ratliff but once again shows aggressive dribbling back there to dean oh and just a little off jones will inbound it oh and looks like it was off south side it will go back to rock creek just a little over
037five minutes left in the fourth quarter dean will inbound it able to find ratliff ratliff takes it down the right side crosses it over and she puts it up but good defense there from bethurum who takes it down dribbles to the right side oh and finds good defense from dean it will be a jump ball possession will stay with south side [Applause] a couple of subs coming in here for south side jones well maybe they'll wait into bethurum oh unable to convert another chance oh just a little strong and another jump ball this time to rock creek and gourley we'll pass it in to ratliff four minutes 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter 21 to 12 rock creek ratliff dribbles the ball good defense finds dean back to jessup ralif oh and jessup comes
038up with it [Applause] jessup double-teamed understandably so who had a very hot first half pass it to dean [Applause] let's see i believe that was number 12 georgia watkins with the shot and dean will take a seat pass in gorilla to ratliff good defense though from bethurham snelson she puts it up oh so close snelson has played great defense this entire game unable to convert there but number five has shown quite a bit of hustle gourley into ratliff guarded by shetty and defense there oh no no we don't want to it is a learning league and sometimes we have to learn uh which which goal is ours which side is ours and thankfully no points there and good defense from bethurham [Applause] jones will take it out two minutes 45 seconds to go passes it
039into bethurum ooh good defense there from rock creek but gourley unable to keep it two minutes 30 seconds left so i believe that's ingle owl coming in for ratliff jones no one no one guarding snelson there shetty gets the ball back to jones in the corner and looks like she might have picked up her pivot foot there two minutes left 21-12 rock creek here jessup will bring the ball up and down the court guarded by bethurim at half court [Music] jess back with the ball dribbles around and gorly with the shot and pass it down to number one oh and bethurum gets the rebound and she will take it coast to coast she's able to find snelson down there good defense from rock creek back out to bethurum shots up jones and gourley comes down
040with it jessup from three ball oh almost hit a three-pointer and nice rebound there from inglewood shout out to carly humphries number one who's made a couple of good rebounds and passes trying to get to know everybody on the roster here and give them some kudos also number 10 paige gilmore in the game gourley will take it out and she will pass it in england but there there's nelson once again great defense but the jump ball will stay with rock creek gourly guarded by shetty and another jump ball this time ball will go to south side 55 seconds left 21-12 rock creek hennessy with the ball swarming defense from gourley and another jump ball rock creek will take possession picked up full court now from shetty and hennessy gourley passes it in up snelson hennessy
041with the rebound and she gets it nice shot from hennessy there and engel out will take the ball of the court passes it to humphreys humphreys hits eagle out but there's nelson playing defense once again oh the ball looks like it went off of shetty's knee there 19.8 seconds left [Music] 19 seconds oh and bethurum oh no ingle owl will take the ball out oh and good defense from bethurham on the breakaway and she gets it for the uncontested and three-point up the clock will continue to run and that's the ball game and game one rock creek able to take it 21-16 great effort by both teams jessup and dean came out hot early for rock creek but south side hung in there and grace bethurum andrea snelson ellie frazier and coming in there madeleine
042hennessey able to pick up some points to keep the south side mustangs in it we're going to go ahead and take a looks like about a 11 and a half minute break and we will back be back with the boys game here for game number two of the ebo game of the week between south side mustangs and rock creek bulldogs presented by forest construction company thanks for tuning in [Music] wow [Music] oh [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] wolf [Music] so [Music] left [Music] so [Music] foreign [Music] hey [Music] ah [Music] okay [Applause] oh [Music] [Applause] all right [Music] number two [Music] number three [Applause] well as you can already hear ladies and gentlemen we are excited here at southside elementary south side was just announced by up and now it's rock creek elementary

044experience and rock creek out with it and south side able to get possession with the jump ball satterfield oh good defense from rock creek but back to the mustangs [Music] [Applause] so far scrappy play from both teams rock creek jax brennaman takes it passes it ridge kester over to patrick strickland back to kessler up and ball will go back to south side [Applause] satterfield once again will inbound it [Music] is sean 44 there with the rebound that's drew hoffman and that'll be the first points of the game [Applause] hoffman able to get that weak side rebound put it up 4-2 south side to two rock creek zero [Applause] oh and looks like a foul [Applause] call on brennaman number five [Applause] parker jones brings the ball up for the mustangs over to hoffman often back
045to 14. and satterfield on the weak side rebound out to ease sean but picked up by brandon and rock creek comes up with the ball oh good defense there from south side but ball will stay with rock creek ridge kester in passes it to brannaman [Applause] strickland passes it outside shot from brandon satterfield with the ball up back to brennaman rock creek and number 12 with the ball oh passes it back to brandon long shot he able to track down his own rebound but the ball was out of bounds and it will go to south side satterfield once again into hoffman and good defense there from strickland number 12 from rock creek and he was fouled [Applause] so far both teams just trying to get things started kester will inbound it to strickland number 23
046aaron lecker and number 14 cody jordan in for rock creek [Applause] as well as jacoby noble brandon's still in there see i can't see that number there [Music] south side brings the ball of the court to ishan oh and a nice nice post play and that's four quick ones from south side good defense there hoffman gets the ball passed it to satterfield man good swarming defense there from rock creek i think that was brandon and parker jones we'll take it out we've got some substitutes coming in katawaki number 32 as well as gohar chick number 42 and noah corny number 20. it looks like it'll be a time out four minutes 37 seconds left in the first quarter [Music] south side cheerleaders getting things started for their crowd they are the away team but they
047will have the home court advantage throughout the season here as they host this year's ebl games [Music] south side can tell already is in their set play look for them to get the ball to ease sean down here low parker jones inbounds it tries to hit ishan there's kester with a good defense and he dribbles it down but pretty good defense but just couldn't get set there number 42. and [Music] kester will inbound it to 14 cody jordan back over to 11 jacoby noble [Applause] oh and a good try there south side look to try to push the ball but they get called for a turnover and back to rock creek kester once again pass it into number 12 strickland oh and that'll be out of bounds [Applause] rock creek was trying to hit kester

049arnholt able to pull down the rebound he was fouled and now kester will get it in to weatherford back to kessler who will pass it oh frog looked to push the ball up but it looked like he might have stepped on the over and back so ball will go back to south side and it is game one for both teams recently chosen teams katawaki oh tried to pass it down to ishan but i will be a travel it's impossible to not notice ishan's size and really doing a great job you know in elementary school moving his feet well using his body you know as a fifth or sixth grader that's sometimes some of the tough things one of the toughest things to do is just learn how to run up and down the court and
050so far ishawn has been very smooth oh and good defense there from south side jones with the way up and that'll be six two zero kester will bring the ball back 37 seconds left [Applause] good defense once again from jones kawawaki 32 oh and the clock continues to run there is a running clock first quarter here and rock creek will take a timeout and that will stop the clock 13.5 seconds left probably only one or two plays at the most able to happen here and so far it's all south side it started out 6-0 for rock creek in the girls game and just the opposite here in the boys game south side off to a hot start 6-0 jones playing great defense and offense as well as a really nice play down low from number
05154 ishawn [Music] [Applause] [Music] rock creek inbounds the ball kester [Music] six oh and the claw continues to run that will probably be yes that will be the end of the first quarter and at the end of one [Applause] 6-0 south side looks like the mustang cheerleaders will take the here court go [Applause] [Music] well thank you to the southside mustangs cheerleaders game one the rock creek lady bulldogs able to pull out the victory and south side boys taking control early as we enter the second quarter here here and satterfield will once again inbound the ball and jones brings it pass it to number two that's briar selby with the ball gets it into hoffman [Applause] oh and a nice shot there from number 30. kester oh nice move oh so close thought he was
052going to be able to convert that but just a little off and back to south side parker jones brings the ball up [Applause] to hoffman in the corner with another good shot often made the first two points of the game [Applause] and rock creek able to get possession nine minutes left in the second quarter kester once again brings the ball up and down the court to arnholt [Applause] able to pass it in the corner and a good rebound from arnhold puts it up oh hoffman comes down with the rebound and finds his teammate jones jones passes over to selby good shot there from selby just a little off oh there's satterfield with the defense and selby comes up with it able to get it to hoffman [Applause] hoffman finds satterfield in the paint and that
053was bryson satterfield with a great two-point bucket i know that butch wade would be proud of that right there butch wade my former central terrier middle school basketball coach in columbus indiana high school basketball great that's his grandson that's awesome [Applause] selby with the ball finds jones on the give and go satterfield once again cleans it up [Music] arnholt able to get it and rock creek is on the board nice job there by arnholt jones brings the ball up and down the court hoffman in the corner oh another great shot by hoffman two good corner shots that time on the left side opened up the game with a good one on the right side block and that'll be eight to two with just over seven minutes to play jones with the steal looks to push
054the ball find satterfield once again foul on the floor [Applause] and the ball will stay with south side jones it out again finds hoffman on oh nice try there arnholt comes down with the rebound [Music] oh and a nice shot by looks like number 11. jacoby noble who was fouled and will go to the line need to update the score here sorry about that folks trying to talk and shoot gum at the same time is not my strength my wife will tell you that trying the best we can to multitask doing the announcing and camera as well as updating that scoreboard [Applause] five minutes 50 seconds to go in the second quarter second shot here from noble and just off the mark and satterfield comes up within the corner passes it eventually gets to jones
055who finds hoffman up back to jones who takes a shot and that'll be a jump ball possession will go to rock creek [Applause] new players zip back in for both teams strickland will get it [Music] oh and ishaan oh back to you sean and nice shot there by ishan surya number 54. the big man with another [Applause] play down low four minutes 20 seconds left rock creek takes it down a little give and go and nice shot there from jax brannaman a couple more on the board for rock creek [Music] [Applause] gets his own rebound and surya with another bucket brandman with the ball finds his teammate there [Applause] and liquor looked to try to get weatherford but just a little bit of an errant pass there and back to south side [Music] good save

057looking for the layup oh almost almost an and one but he will go to the line to shoot two dane hoopengarner first time at the line one minute left to go in the second quarter 14-4 south side and hoop and garner says the bank is still open [Applause] that is impressive it's always awesome when you see the kids hitting their free throws nice job by dane hoopengarner there to hit both of those 42.8 seconds left and southside with a commanding 16-4 lead here week one of bcsc ebl [Music] [Applause] [Music] and after the timeout [Music] rock creek will inbound brandon brings the ball up the court for rock creek oh arnholt called for a moving screen it looks like and the ball will go back to south side lupin garner oh what's going on here
058oh it's one on one situation and so we'll see who's gonna shoot or maybe not looks like the indication was that there was a one-on-one but instead hoop and garner will inbound it you'll find murphy who will get back to hoop and garner looking for ishaan and cash murphy gets it oh there's brandon with the ball oh can we stop the clock no maybe not [Music] brandon tries to get it in but that will be the end of the second quarter and at halftime south side is up 16-4 against the rock creek bulldogs we will be back with you in just a few minutes thanks for tuning in to this week's ebo game of the week between southside and rock creek this is presented by force construction company thanks for tuning in [Music] my [Music]

064to strickland strickland finds arnholt down low and another jump ball [Applause] parker jones able to force that and they will get possession parker jones number 14 up to hoop and garner give and go and it looks like a foul there eight minutes and 30 seconds hoop and garner will take it out looks for ishan over the top but good good defense from rock creek but they were called for a travel unfortunately because fell on the ground there so back to hoop and garner tries to find ishaan excuse me that's hoop and garner and he scores [Applause] brandon takes it oh [Applause] [Music] and noah corny gets it into jones gives it to hoop and garner finds you sean but good defense there from rock creek back to hoop and garner jones corny tui sean good

066a half minutes to play in the third quarter parker jones with a pair of free throws after a good defensive play he was fouled and and just a little strong on the first shot brennaman brings the ball up to court [Music] finds kessler another lefty satterfield with the rebound pass it ahead to jones finds selby in the corner back to jones a little strong brandon with the rebound selby with the rebound gets it to jones [Applause] brandon comes out with it and is fouled by satterfield passes it into kester [Applause] looks to drive but picked up by three green shirts and ends up turning the ball over what would have been the first three-pointer of the game unfortunately turns into south side ball jones brings the ball up the court [Applause] looks the carson banter
067oh his teammate moved on him and the ball will go back to brock creek three minutes and 12 seconds left 18-4 south side over rock creek brandon with the ball brings it up with kester picked up by jones dribbles to the left all the way oh close and selby with the steal gets the ball to jones picked up by kester finds an open cell be in the corner oh and just a little strong on the way up but there's carson banter oh i'm just a little too hot there for south side kester passes into the lekker [Applause] lekker will bring it up the court picked up by parker jones dribbles to the right oh and just a little bit too fast goes off the foot and back to south side who takes a timeout one
068minute 55 seconds left quick timeout and the south side of cheerleaders gets the crowd involved [Applause] and south side satterfield will inbound the ball to parker jones finds banter good defense from kester wide open jones hits satterfield and it's an and one opportunity for satterfield the basket is good he will go to the line for the free throw as the clock continues to run and the free throw is good 21-4 strong pick there from arnholt gets the ball to banter oh kesser playing some good solid defense but called for the foul there [Applause] [Music] parker jones gets over to selby selby finds jones over in the corner who finds satterfield down low just a little strong and the ball will go to rock creek 37 seconds left kester will bring the ball of the court
069he will take the shot but it's just a little short satterfield with it tries to find jones but there's banter banter finds an open selby oh buddy is fouled clock needs to stop or maybe not [Applause] the quarter will be over [Applause] is a little bit different with the running clock now selby gets the free-throw line to himself 21-4 and sometimes you know it can be just as pressure packed with no one as there is with the full foul line let's see if celebi can hit number two and there it is one for two from the line but he gets a great round of applause from the fans and here comes the rock creek bulldog cheerleaders that will bring us into the fourth quarter [Music] [Applause] and a great job by the rock creek bulldogs
070cheerleaders shout out to all the student athletes here whether you're girls basketball boys basketball or the cheerleaders as well as our fans it's a great start to week one here at ebl we will be doing one game a week live stream but all teams will be playing throughout the week and so if you want to come and support your student athletes here at south side you'll have that opportunity each night and sometimes on the weekends as we get through ebl here and trying to have a somewhat semi-normal ebl experience and it's good to be back here out on the court i'm glad to bring you this live stream to support our elementary athletes there's hoffman in the corner hoffman's got a really nice shot just a little strong there there's brandon [Music] finds strickland there's
071back to branham in the lefty oh yeah i'm wondering if they're going to call that oh it would have been a three pointer but i believe there isn't three points in ebl so there's a three-pointer in my book [Applause] [Music] that'll be six to 22 now nice shot there from brandon [Applause] kester [Applause] in the corner it's got to be intimidating to be going up against ishaan there definitely had the size advantage but kester definitely playing with a lot of heart and able to pass it out to strickland oh good defense there from hoffman and he sean will pass it up to jones who will push it and the ball ended up being dribbled and out of bounds and i'll go back to rock creek castro passes it into brannaman eight minutes left brannaman dribbles
072and just off the mark there but he gets his own rebound able to find strickland keeps his oh nice shot there by number 12 patrick strickland the rock creek picks up pressure jones oh [Music] can't tell set number a little bit harder to read in between the 10 and 20 maybe it's just my eyesight maybe docked a visit to dr coors is in order for me but that is number let's see here there's number 10 dane hoopengarner and just a little off the mark up to brandon met by satterfield oh and that'll be a travel satterfield gets it into jones who finds hoffman up to jones on the right side oh and it's an and one for parker jones and one opportunity i should say nice take to the hole there by the young man
073bring us the 24 to eight with six minutes and 30 seconds left to go let's see if he can convert on the free throws satterfield already with the and one let's see if his teammate can join him it's always fun to be able to have those and one opportunities boom nice job by jones strickland brings the ball to court for rock creek able to find brandon on the left side another three-pointer oh satterfield with rebound tries to get the ball but strickland there kesser shoots it oh in and out hoffman passes it up to hoop and garner oh and hoffman is fouled by rock creek and i believe because of the bonus hoffman will go to the line for a one-on-one [Applause] [Music] nice shot there number one by [Applause] drew hoffman [Music] and just
074off the mark arnholt strickland get with it oh and it hits behind the backboard interesting okay kester four minutes 40 seconds left brandon brings the ball up to court picked up by hoop and garner kester with a three just a little strong and hoffman down with the rebound looking for an open teammate finds murphy oh then great defense by jack springerman oh and an and one opportunity of his own apologies for the less than stellar camera work there and that'll bring us to 26 to 10. and jax brandon will have his own and one opportunity here at the line the lefty has been solid for the bulldogs all day oh just a little strong and hoffman with it dribbles up and down the court picked up by brandon finds hoop and garner [Music] and hook
075the gardener gets his own oh and the nice wraparound layup brings us to 28 to 10. strickland with the ball [Applause] finds his teammate up and hoffman a little bit of confusion there parker jones now brings the ball of the court looks for hoffman who's wide open oh but never fear up i was gonna say never fear ishan is here but in and out there and rock creek will have the ball fourth quarter just under three minutes to go looks like a timeout here so two minutes 57 seconds time out by rock creek 28 to 10 south side in control but it is week one i'm sure both teams will just continue to get better throughout the season [Applause] [Music] so [Music] all right rock creek will inbound the ball strickland will pass it in
076to brannaman picked up by jones another solid screen by arnholt oh and barely keep it in oh but there is hoop and garner oh and he throws it up and he is fouled [Applause] good defense there by hoopengarner [Music] number 10 at the line for two shots less than two and a half minutes to go with that running clock [Music] and free throw one is good satterfield in for ishan surya great performance by the big man number 54 tonight really did a solid job on both sides of the court a little strong there but gets his own rebound and there's hoffman cleaning up the rebound and that's 31 as brandman looks to push the pace pass it over to strickland back to brennaman throws it up [Music] and there's hoffman again great game tonight by
077drew hoffman [Applause] and there's jones gets his own rebound that looks like larry bird there following his own shot but there's brannaman once again [Applause] [Music] oh and just not quite ready for it there [Applause] satterfield pushes it ahead finds hooping garner good defense by strickland up and the ball will go back to rock creek less than a minute to go 48 seconds left a couple more possessions left in this game strickland brings the ball up to court finds his teammate brennaman who takes the three and it's a little long and the ball will go back to south side got to hurry up the pace a little bit if we can get a couple more possessions into hoffman and good defense there from rock creek but there is hoop and garner once again and he
078takes it to the hole oh in and out but there's jones oh it's like there's a lid on this goal and [Music] all right we gotta hurry nine seconds and more than likely that's gonna be it folks three two one [Applause] oh good try there from strickland and that's the ball game 31-10 south side over rock creek first game won by the lady bulldogs second game won by the south side boys great games by both teams thank you to thank you to rock creek and south side for week one's ebl game of the week presented by force construction company my name is josh burnett it's been nice hanging out with you here tonight and if you're watching this on the replay thank you for tuning in to the bcsc youtube channel it's a good time
