003be commentating as much as often but for many of you that'll that'll be a bonus for you so i hope you'll enjoy the stream floyd central now entering stafford field [Applause] [Music] and we're ready for kickoff in about four minutes be set we've already had the national anthem and the sound and spirit of columbus played the combined uh columbus north and columbus east band has been out on the field and getting ready for the ceremonial coin toss captains from both squads meet at 50 yard line it's a beautiful night here at stafford field feels it felt like fall this morning but definitely uh pretty hot up here in the columbus east press box but i'm sure as the sun goes down it'll start to feel like fall again that's indiana weather for you referee going
004over a few rules with the players tonight okay getting a little intel here on our visiting floyd central highlanders number 58 is definitely a stud on the defense on the defensive side got a young sophomore quarterback that's off to a good start and number three as well as number number two had a big game last week and so definitely be i'm sure that we'll be seeing their numbers called throughout the game for columbus east it's you know it's it's been a struggle so far into the first year uh for new head coach eddie vogel he knew that going to have a little bit different experience with over 30 seniors graduating last year but i know that coach vogel and his squad have been working hard each week and i'm sure that we're regardless of what
005we see on the scoreboard tonight we're going to see a great effort from columbus east olympians and hopefully we'll on a homecoming night we definitely want to see a victory for the olympians but we'll see what the highlanders bring so let's get a kickoff [Music] now and here we are for the opening kickoff and underway another contest here at stafford field good kick by the olympians returned oh into the 30-yard line and stopped by a gang of olympians around the 33-34-yard line anderson on the tackle for the olympians don't have a score sheet for the floyd central highlander so we'll be hearing a lot more of their numbers tonight if i get something i'll try to start announcing them quarterback hands it off jarvis with the tackle there for the olympians brings up second and
006four ball on the 41 yard line as i repeated as i said earlier the quarterback number one excuse me number six is a sophomore leading this floyd central highlander offense so far two runs up the middle [Music] brings up third and short for the highlanders i remember quite a few games back when i was in high school here at columbus east to see i think we were down at floyd central and they had a running back that i think ran for around 250 yards they're known for their running game we'll see what they do on third and short short screen pass and that's going to be enough for a first down [Applause] first and ten now for the highlanders on the 47 on their own 47. just off of midfield hands it off again to
007the left side [Applause] and another good run by the highlanders so far they've been running to that middle or left side and just that short pass [Music] bring up another first down for the highlanders quickly to the line hands it off from the shotgun oh met by number 34 i believe yep chase harrison that's another name you'll be hearing quite a bit tonight led this olympian defense at linebacker so far this season floyd central in the shotgun once again running back behind oh he's scrambling nearly oh and he's taken down by the olympians thought that he was able to escape that but two olympians were able to continue the rush on the offense and a great sack by i believe it was galt kaden gold brings up third and long for floyd central let's see
008if they throw it a little bit deeper protection scrambling going to the right oh and he's taken down by the olympians and number six brennan cowan with the tackle brings up fourth down and we will see a punt from floyd central logan christophel will not get a chance to take the punt back so we're 7 37 here in the first quarter ball will be placed at the 21 yard line columbus east will take over and let's see what the olympians have got tonight on this homecoming night [Music] hands it off looks like villarreal villarreal to the left picks up some positive yardage ethan duncan heading the offense up for the olympians again tonight you've already heard three names that are prominent in the olympians offense duncan villarreal and christopher that time floyd central was ready
009for the run and they took villarreal down which will bring up third and five on the olympians own 26. wide receiver on single coverage on the right oh floyd central trying to bring the blitz however looks like it'll be encroachment on floyd central there not sure if it was the snap count that got him off or just couldn't stop himself but aggressive defense led now to a penalty which will bring up first down for the olympians hands it off again to villarreal but this time floyd central jammed the middle and took him down maybe one or two max there [Music] dunking in the shotgun once again fakes the hand off scrambles to the left short pass and apologize on that terrible camera work there that ball was thrown to number 85 blake borkhart trying to
010do a better job for you all there apologize third and three on the 39 for the olympians protection on both sides for duncan hands it off to number six and looks like he's got enough for the first down a little over five minutes here in the first quarter for the olympians nice run there by number six brennan cowan and duncan scrambles to the right looks like he's going to keep it for himself can't he make it to the edge oh he's ran out of bounds yard gain for duncan on the quarterback keeper second and five nearly to midfield duncan from the shotgun high snap but able to get it to villarreal and i think he's made it to midfield just short of the midfield third and two hands it off but he was taken down
011in the backfield which will bring up fourth down we'll see what vogel and the olympians choose to do looks like the punt team will come out lanky back for the olympians driving punt not looks like it wasn't returned by anyone looks like down to around the 20-yard line [Music] and the highlanders will take over their own 20-yard line hand it off once again to the middle olympians are ready for that [Music] second and seven just on the outside of three minutes play action fake oh and the olympians once again able to get to the quarterback jamal starks with the sack third and long once again for floyd central see if they can make any adjustments or if it'll be another three and out zero zero two and a half minutes left in the first quarter
012and he's rolls to the left oh and it's just beyond the receiver which will bring up another floyd central fourth down punt team in so far it's really been good defense from both sides and a little bit of whether it's nerves or just off to a slow start for the offense nearly blocked short punt and christopher with a diving catch at the floyd central 35 yard line a little bit scary there good aggressive play by christopher but man he caught that in a lot of traffic let's see if duncan and villarreal can get something started here passes off to the left and met by two floyd central highlanders official timeout on the field 146 in the first quarter olympians back to the line second and eight and hands it off once again to villarreal olympians
013third and five for the o's olympians bring in an extra protection for the quarterback oh and looks like be a false start on the olympians which will bring them back a number of yards take them back from third and five to third and long or should say third and ten [Music] three wide receiver set to the right side that's a new look here for the olympians drops back oh [Applause] pass intended for number five chase zaffy and it looks like the olympians are going for it could be one of the situations because they're at the 35-yard line it's anything's better than nothing rolls to the right and able to hit the receiver will it be enough there is a flag on the play oh and good pass to number 15 roland ryan unfortunately a penalty
014on the o's now the punt team will come back in unfortunately what could have been a good first down for the olympians now has turned into another fourth down and the ball goes back to floyd central 52 seconds left as the clock runs ooh second punt nearly blocked and a fair catch by floyd central at the 20-yard line both defenses as i said earlier have been really aggressive olympians have been able to get to the quarterback multiple times and the floyd central highlanders have not allowed much rushing from trice villarreal and the olympians 39.8 seconds left and we'll see this might be the last play if it's another run play three three wide receiver set with motion and passes to the right side quick with blockers but olympians able to take the floyd central highlanders

018eight ten and a half minutes in the second quarter both teams with all three timeouts [Music] olympians have controlled the clock so far high staff oh duncan i'm not sure if that was what really happened there but it didn't look like duncan was completely confident with what the snap whether it was high or if there was some miscommunication with the running back either way it'll bring up third and nine just inside ten minutes in the second quarter [Music] and the third and eight this is an important third down for really both sides oh and looks like it's going to be offsides if not called a false start on the receivers wow i'm sure there was a false start but i did also see the far wineman jump early too but olympians were the ones that
019got the false start and that'll bring them back to third and thirteen ball on the 32 i said this is really important third down duncan decides to keep it for himself gets a few yards but that'll bring up fourth and around 10. offense stays on the field 4th and 10 on their own 29 could be one of those situations just once again uh you know keeping possession not enough room to punt duncan though goes back oh and he was looking towards the inside end zone but none of the wide receivers are open and floyd central was able to get to him and take him down turnover on downs [Applause] [Music] yard line for floyd central eight minutes 51 seconds really not too much going on this game other than runs up the middle and a
020couple screen passes for really both teams oh and he busts it out to the middle he must have heard my commentary and said we're gonna go ahead and get to the second level floyd central able to get a big first down to start their drive here [Applause] eight and a half minutes first down on their own 41. back in the shotgun oh takes it deep 50 50 ball and just out of the reach of the wide receiver bring up second and ten i do like to see a little bit of variation in the offense here they're both teams i hope we'll make some adjustments after they've seen on the first few drives you know both teams ready for the run up the middle whether that's making some adjustments running to the outside or maybe looking
021downfield but back again this time to the left and number one takes the carry to near midfield at the 48. clock continues to run and that'll bring up another key third down with the way that possession has been so far this could be the last possession for floyd central in this quarter just with the way that both teams have been running the clock with short passes and runs and the olympians meet them in the backfield which will bring up fourth down we'll see what floyd central chooses to do looks like they're bringing in the punt team fourth down and four oh fake punt and he is going wow what a play by floyd central a fake punt [Applause] big risk big reward for the highlanders [Applause] i definitely didn't see that coming and i think

030backfield but in high school behind the line of scrimmage an incomplete pass is an incomplete pass not a fumble like nfl sunday so i'm definitely not the most versed in all of high school football rules but definitely glad to learn something here as we take a timeout and the clock runs down to two and a half minutes seven all here at stafford field as the sun has started to come down and it started to cool off here as i was saying earlier the sound and spirit of columbus the combined columbus north and columbus east marching band who i mean they've been doing such an excellent job i've been able to watch a couple of their performances and just really proud to see the collaboration between the two high schools columbus north has always had a
031very large marching band and i know that columbus has had a smaller but still very committed group and you know at one time they just said hey we're gonna combine forces and and we're gonna it looks like go back and forth i've seen them at columbus north and now here they are for homecoming here at columbus east it's it's great to see that collaboration and appreciate the leadership of brian munoz and david rogers i'm sure several others and it's great to see people in the stands out here on fall football friday night ooh and that was a key first down pickup for floyd central to keep their momentum going keep the drive alive i believe the clock is at least i know the clock's going to start at least until the first down but i
032didn't know if he got out of bounds or not and then first down for floyd central oh and flags come out quarterback keeper but there was a flag on the play jamal starks on the tackle for the olympians we'll see who the flag is on looks like they're pointing to floyd central holding on the offense and that'll move him back ten yard penalty so the very nice first down play is almost negated there by taking floyd central back on their own 49 now two minutes 16 seconds clock runs three wide receivers bunched on the right side for floyd central and passes to the right and a nice nice play there by floyd central [Music] that'll bring up second and ten 145. that's it again [Applause] that right side is just it's been a strength for

051if they can nope man floyd centro has just done a great job on their kick return so far and olympians just have to make an adjustment they're giving the highlanders great field position each time they start the drive and they're really making the defense have to make up for it hopefully they'll be able to stop them though here once again [Music] definitely don't want to take away credit from the floyd central special teams but i know that's something that coach vogel will definitely be talking about with his players and once again i apologize for this live stream just kind of uh just the stream is less than consistent tonight we've got the hardwired connection in but on a couple of big plays tonight it just starts to buffer and i wish that that wasn't the
