001good evening everyone and welcome to the bcsc youtube channel we are live here once again in the orange pit for the season opener for boys high school basketball running camera tonight is caden wise running the scoreboard and producing tonight's stream is zach pierce's zach how are you doing tonight malachi i'm doing good i'm glad to be here night before thanksgiving let's play some high school basketball absolutely and once again i am malachi parks tonight we will see silver creek taking on columbus east before we take a look into teams in action tonight we want to thank our sponsors columbus auto group and forced construction without your support these live streams would not be happening once again thank you for the support also for your viewers watching the game please subscribe to the bcsc youtube channel
002so you'll be notified for all the home varsity streams so you won't miss a game zach are you ready to take a look at this silver creek dragons basketball team let's get into it mr parks alrighty well they are coached by brandon hoffman do you know much about these dragons well i know that they're third ranked in the state they got a couple d1 players i know one of them i don't think will be playing tonight it looked like he had a boot or he had a he had a boot on his foot so we'll see what that turns out to be but i know i know they're really good malachi well the silver creek basketball team comes into this game like you said ranked third in the state silver creek last year had a
003fantastic season going 25 and 2 and 9-0 in conference play those two losses were to lawrence central who this year is ranked 12 in the state and a loss to a very talented bloomington south team who last year was led by in indiana mr basketball anthony leal who is now at iu playing this silver creek team is led by the second ranked player in the state senior trey kaufman who is listed at 6-8 but sadly we just got word tonight he is in a boot like zach said and will not be playing for silver creek but his recruiting has some of the biggest powerhouses at the collegiate level with teams like louisville north carolina iu and more are you a big fan of his uh offers he has right now well um appears to be
004got some big names there big names looking after him um the amount of scholarships you get does not not reflect what type of player you are reflects on what your teammates think of you and what your coaches think of you and i know coaches are recommending him he's a good kid he's a good scholar so i know that's also what teams are looking at for him good point right there well last year's meeting ended up in silver creek's winning column winning 75 to 40. and this team last year put up quite a bit of points and they're looking to make a championship run which they were not able to do last year due to covid so what's some things east is going to need to do to try to contain this very high-powered silver creek
005team well they're gonna have to defend the paint silver creek's a lot bigger a lot faster a lot stronger than them and they're gonna have to defend the pay play a hard physical game try and wear them out a little bit i think the east is gonna have to try and run the court get trying to get some easy transition points to play good solid team defense good points there well tonight can we see silver creek come up with their first win of the 2020 2021 season we shall see tonight in the orange pit well zach let's transition over to the olympians you have a brother playing yeah what does he think about the team tonight well malachi either i know he's optimistic for the season i have a lot of seniors returning a lot
006of experience in turning i know tonight unfortunately would not be able to play due to some ridiculous uh contact tracing through kovit a kid in his class that's a positive and he was somewhere around near him sitting next to him and so that forced him to quarantine and he didn't have the required amount of practices to play tonight so unfortunately won't be able to play but i know he's optimistic and he's decided for the season well the olympians come in and is coached by coach chitty and the olympians basketball team is coming into this season trying to put last season in the rearview mirror last year there were only two seniors and the team was very junior heavy and i had a very young team so zach what can that do to a team to
007pull them together trying to win against a really good team well i know they're familiar with each other and that helps along with passing and defense and calling things out they know where each other's going to be they know what they're going to be able to do and having that unity and that experience will really help them tonight against a team that is better than in almost every way with their rankings and things like that well last year the olympians picked up big wins over noblesville evansville central martinsville and a hoosier hills conference opponent the madison cubs and also many games last year i noticed the olympians were in them all the way into the fourth but could not finish that's going to be a big keys for tonight's game and why is that so
008important against one of the top teams in the state well they're top team in the state for a reason they have lots of d1 players they have lots of good coaching and coach shitty and the boys are going to have a hard time tonight they're going to be have their hands full and it's going to be difficult for them to try and pulling out but i have faith in them i do as well you can never go wrong with the home team well i'm sure coach chitty will have these boys fired up and ready to go so we kind of mentioned some already but what are some things columbus east is going to need to do to maintain a very high powered basketball team in the silver creek dragons well yes like i said in
009the beginning um they're going to have to try and run the court a little bit i think they're trying to have to try and get some transition points in the beginning we'll see what type of defense each team comes out in whether that be zone or man or any type of press we'll see how that affects the game going forward and i think it's going to be an interesting matchup tonight the east might have the firepower pulled off but it's going to be difficult tonight can we see our home team the olympians get off to a hot start and get their season underway with the win and upset the state we shall see tonight with tip off at 7 30 as you can see them coming onto the court now we will take a short
010break and get a special word from one of our sponsors the columbus auto group why is the columbus auto group the number one destination for your vehicle needs it's the no vulture zone our sales staff is 100 non-commissioned which means they are 100 committed to making sure you leave in the right vehicle not the one that pays them the most from sales to service from online tune store at the no vulture zone speed is key our goal is to get you a price payment and an appraisal in 15 minutes not ready to visit the dealership no problem on our website you can get pricing payment information get an estimate on your trade and if you have any questions you can chat with a live agent i know what you're thinking i bought a car somewhere

012ahead and introduce the starting lineup for each team zach you want to take it away with the silver creek dragons yeah it looks like tonight that we're starting a freshman guard hayden garten alongside him is going to be a senior guard isaac hinton uh sophomore urgent excuse me junior guard trey shone junior guard brandon northern and senior forward cooper jacoby and that's the starters for the silver creek dragons [Music] now let's take it over for pa announcer dennis pierce for tonight's matchup between the east olympians and the silver creek dragons and now ladies and gentlemen the privilege of this game was made possible by those who have fought and continue to fight for the freedoms we enjoy let us honor and respect their efforts in our country by gentlemen removing their caps and everyone standing
013in attention placing their hands over their hearts as we proudly play our national anthem [Music] all right oh all right [Applause] all right zach you want to go ahead and introduce the starters for the olympians it would be my honor malachi starting a guard tonight a senior guard daniel murphy alongside him will be a sophomore guard ben silva another guard next to him junior guard will reekers and that center a senior tyler boyer and alongside him again will be senior guard ben major that's your starters for the columbus east olympians tonight so zach once again limited crowd it's going to be really important for each team to come out here with a strong momentum so the first few minutes of tonight's game is really i think we're how we're going to see which team's going
014to come out on top yes for sure each minute or each of the first few minutes of each quarter will decide the tempo especially the first quarter we'll decide what type of identity you're going to have tonight and what type of game it's going to be you can hear coach pierce announcing the starters once again for the olympians we have daniel murphy ben major and it looks like we have three seniors that's what we talked about at the beginning of the broadcast the senior leadership i think is going to be one big key for tonight's game for the olympians yes for sure their leadership is going to have to come up big tonight against a superior team one thing i'm sure the olympians were really shocked and uh most likely as strives uh relief is
015that their silver creek's go-to player your big d1 commits is not playing so that could help help the olympians big time i think tonight yeah for sure but on the other end of the stick they also have another few more in there in their arsenal along with them so well the main ones out i got a few ones left in the in the in the stable ready to play tonight as we have daniel murphy doing the tip at number 32 cooper jacoby for the dragons as we are underway here in the orange pit as the dragons win the tip and looks like the o's are staying with a man-to-man look as brandon northern has the ball at the top guarded by number 11 ben major passes it off to trey look the olympians manning to
016switch some of the screens that are being offered here early because number 24 gets in for a nice half and under reverse for the first two points of the game see if the os can get on the board here as will reekers comes to the right hands it off to senior daniel murphy this looks like the silver creek dragons team is very fast and very long yes they have athletic ability all over the court nice wingspans for high school high school age and there's the tip ball and a steal for the dragons right there so east first possession did not end result in any points and i think one big key is we're gonna have to match what they do on the offensive end as that is up and good by number 32 cooper jacoby
017one of the seniors for this dragons team as vin major takes someone up draws the foul puts him on the line for two that low post game from cooper jacoby is going to be a difficult task tonight for the olympians free throw game for the olympians is also going to have to be big tonight too if they're going to want to stay in this game as ben major's at the line his one is up and off the mark a little long hit the back iron of the rim 650 left to go 4-0 our ball game then majors at the line for a second second one is up and good so one to four is our score [Music] as isaac hinton brings the ball excuse me that is number 24 brandon northern great shot he got
018up on that shot there yeah showing why he's recruited by many schools across the across the country right now tyler boyer had some great defense had a hand in his face just got up on that one as we have world records trying to get to the rim gets to the right block maybe a slap on the wrist there but a floater by silva off the mark rebounded by jacoby as he pushes the ball off the court he stops and fires a three at the top of the key and zach he is getting off to a hot start yes he is the olympian's got to find an answer for him quickly or else this game is going to be gone early leos need to get a point here as tyler boyer gets blocked and taken away
019by number 20 isaac hinton great defense by the dragons on that one and a fallon and one he wants to take this game over early malachi and he's showing it right now cooper jacoby he wants his name to be recognized as one of these go-to guys for this dragon's team as he's at the line for a one-on-one excuse me just trying to convert he gets one free throw and good dragons like we said is going to be a key thing to get off to a hot start and that's exactly what the dragons did let's pass it off to boyer boyer gets inside just the length of this dragon's team has been giving these olympians some trouble and that is a great athletic pass tips back to number 20. isaac hinton for an and one play
020it's like coach city wants an early time out here for the olympians and they're going to need it they need to talk some things over real quick so just like that 14 to 1 as our score with 5 32 left to go here in the first coach kitty takes a timeout maybe an early wake-up call for this olympians team so they can come back and get a ball game going here yes great job by our cheerleaders cooper jacoby is listed as six seven he's has some length and some height on him he'd be tall in nba numbers he'd be about a forward or a or a bigger guard in the nba now i know sometimes they like to stretch the numbers a little bit to make it a little bit more appealing for colleges but
021that's pretty accurate mostly about two inches give or take as isaac hinton gets the lucky bounce off the back iron and converts on dn1 as the olympians trying to look for a long three by daniel murphy is good great shot by daniel murphy from beyond the arc maybe that can be the momentum changer for this olympians team as number 24 brandon northern takes that one and gets that one off the glass it's been major crosses over gets the right block and up and good two quick scores for the o's 17-6 momentum starting to roll a little bit for him see if they get something going and that was some great defense and some help by the olympians as they pass it up to dana murphy gets the foul call and puts him at the line
022for two olympians starting to run a little bit i was one of my keys to the game they're starting to get a little bit going here as silver creek wants to take a timeout get a little bit early try and stop the olympian olympian momentum here after that timeout coach judy mighta got into him a little bit because they came out of that timeout with five quick points right there and a foul call is going to put olympian at the line for two because shitty didn't scream or yell at him i think he just kind of told him what it is he said they came out a little bit a little bit lethargic a little bit and he told him what it is and they need to get it going it looks like he did
023it worked a little bit as if i was on number 22 tracy cohn put his first and we are all tied with team fouls at two and two as that one is good for the o's once again one of the three seniors in the starting lineup and the second one is up and gets the shooters touch on that one as well off the back iron the o's need a couple stops here and a couple big shots and we have we are right back in it and maybe tying this game up as it into colby comes off a screen a lot of ball screens a lot of pick and roll for the dragons tonight as that one was long and rebounded by silva as he pushed it to dana murphy through the hands and out of
024bounds [Applause] right idea just a little long yeah that was the bright idea just a little bit wrong they acknowledge each other knowing that it's 24 brandon northern been doing some of the ball handling for this dragon's team as great defense and we have a quick whistle after the steal some team defense showing up for the olympians right now they've gotten a few steals here in the last few possessions brayden northern hurt his second team's third 4-10 left to go so we have our first sub looks like jace burton and for the dragons as 24 brandon northern takes a seat two quick fouls for him maybe don't want to get them in foul trouble and save him for a later part of the game it's been majors passed it off to daniel murphy another long
025three looked good from here but off the mark in a great effort by will reekers he got up there seemed like it was it was a good effort by will reekers unfortunately that's going out of bounds that was great effort by him though and he did get up that was that was really great hops right there had jacoby six seven senior pass it off to burton as a three ball has taken long and rebounded by to colby and spin move and off the mark and it's going to be east basketball with four excuse me 345 left to go here in the first a couple stops by the olympians on the defensive end yeah the olympians have to gang rebound a little bit kind of gang box out on myers and other players try to get
026able to take it take trying to try and eliminate some of that height difference a little bit a great pass as we're gonna have a pass by boyar down to major looks like he's gonna get fouled jace burton picks up a foul puts ben major at the line for two he went one-on-one earlier in the first looking to go two and two here and that one is good nine to 17 our score 335 left to go here in the first and he's getting ready for his second and good as we have number 34 julius daly comes in i think if the olympians can keep driving and getting foul calls and get this dragons teams in foul trouble it could be could be an advantage for the olympians i agree they've done a good job driving
027and kicking so far let's see if they can continue that number 40 looks at a screen doesn't get it a great pump fake back out to 40. might have took too many steps there looks to me but the ref did not and that is a block foul by number 10 daniel murphy yeah that's that's an unfortunate for daniel it looked like he tried to slide over a little bit he was just a tad bit too late because we have chris bergman in number 23 comes in for daniel murphy chris is another senior on this olympian basketball team do you know how many fouls i was on daniel i think that may have been two right he has two quick ones as it says on the scoreboard as he draws the foul no he did not
028it was a travel call by cooper jacoby jacoby excuse me and uh olympians will take possession of the basketball got lucky on that one and it will stay down on this end looks like maybe a smaller lineup for the o's as looks like chris and boyer are the big guys as 34 takes a shot and nothing but net that is julius daly nice shot there coming off the bench coming back malachi five point game let's see if they can close this quarter out with three minutes left down low and looks like they're going to triple team him i don't know about that one but that's the right idea there it may have been an unfortunate foul call but that's the right idea that's how you got to play that have the backside guy help off
029their man and try and get over the top of the big guy that was on 34. julius daly has 24. brandon northern comes in maybe get one more foul on him before time and he i think has three quick ones as that is quick and money for number 22. trey shane boyer to bergman he takes a three ball and off the mark that shot kind of took the win out of the sales for the olympians right there a big blow for the end of the end of the quarter it's northern looking to pull it out the boyer's been having a big task on this hand tonight guarding cooper jacoby great defense defense there bergman and boyer on that screen northern looks at a ball screen bye to kobe gets it and he's shooting a three
030and nothing but net that's all you can do just get your hand up and hope he misses as reekers passes it to bergman motions people out there the olympians likes to pass cut and run away as mainly their offenses boyer takes a three could not get that one to fall as northern brings the ball up the court and another three ball taken by the dragons off the mark and a strong rebound by tyler boyer pushes it up too daily gets to the right block jump stops off the mark kind of anticipating northern was going to try to jump in on him try to draw a foul but great defense by the dragons tough shot there and took too many steps on that one so far the refs have been on it tonight malachi they've had
031some good calls here they've been on top of it i don't think they've missed much if any at all then major back in for the o's 120 left to go here in the first to bergman as chris passed it off and cuts to the opposite side of the court across two bergman he calls for that one a three that would look like it was going in just rattle it out as northern has the ball here for the dragons olympians had a few of those tonight in and out just like that one and kobe again we grab that one and put it back up under a minute to go here in the first maybe olympians might hold it for one last shot we shall see what coach titty tells these boys we're at 30 seconds to
032go as bergman hands it off to daley a long three is good he made an early jump shot and that three is nothing but net as we have a foul by chris bergman that was a little obvious there zach don't you think yeah he just kind of it's kind of a last resort though just suck his hands in and see if he can get a jump ball team vows five for the olympians four for the dragons 23.4 seconds to go this dragon seems very well coached you can definitely tell these boys have been playing with each other for a while as you can hear their coach telling them one last shot horns they're gonna have two high ball screens to get a pick one side it's gonna be a pick and pop or a pick
033and roll here see the two guys at the top of the key that's called horns great move a great idea great defense by the o's as we have a foul with 0.5 remaining and will that be enough time for them to get a shot off well it's probably going to have to be either just a heaven or maybe a tip with cooper jacoby's side it's going to be hard i think this conference is going to be just a heave one up and pray really fast as olympians fans looking for that one but not much you can really do with half a second left yeah not much you can do i think that's a good no call there and at the end of two our score silver creek 25 of the olympians 15. a look at
034our cheerleaders [Music] me [Music] there we have it our columbus east cheerleaders you can't have basketball without the cheerleaders they do a fantastic job 10-point ball game here it's been kind of back and forth game of runs here tonight yeah for sure the olympians got it to win with got it to within five excuse me and the dragons hit a quick three and then the win kind of came out of them ten point game here as we head into the second quarter let's see if the olympics can kind of cut into this lead before half time as daley's got off to a hot start scoring five points off the bench as that has passed two boyer in the corner two reakers comes off a screen set by boyer an 18-foot jump shot is up and
035off the mark rebounded by cooper she's pushing the ball too northern back to cooper has done most of the scoring for tonight for the dragons the dragons going left to right and the olympians going right to left into the corner to number 20 pass to kobe and a foul call by the far ref that was something on the other side can call that but it could look like a fat from this angle but i'm surprised it's the ref on the far side on the hhc symbol they're calling that one and puts cooper jacoby at the line four one can he convert the n1 and moneyball is good [Applause] as reekers has the ball pass it to boyer he tries to get to the block and up and over the defender a great move by tyler
036nice happen under there not sure if the silver creek dragon coach was yelling at his teammates or the rest there as a kickout 4-3 by the dragons is good they're very well three-point shooting team not miss many tonight malcolm as it is to crace bergman a senior for these olympians as it to daily boyer coming off the screen plants his foot passes it back out looks at a step back pass it off to bergman and we have a charge call taken by the dragons that picks up grace i think his second yeah it is a second it says it on the scoreboard right there and it looks like the dragons will be as the scoreboard says in the bonus wondering they didn't shoot theirs didn't shoot the one-on-one there but as that one has stolen
037away by reekers we have the numbers out to boyer 4-3 good that's the transition offense maokai tyler boyer three is good we have the numbers three on two there reekers found boyer and boyer capitalized on a pass by reekers as can they answer back with the three the dragons off the mark rebounded by boyer pushes it two reakers gets to the middle of the court and up and blocks great stop there by number 20 isaac hinton as jacoby takes his long three and that is good three guys around him still shot it and still made that one this tower's over on malachi hard to stop that transition pull up three from the big guy and we have a blocking foul good take from major there nice strong take it's the and one i believe hayden
038gardner picks up no excuse me they called it on the floor as chris bergman comes off and daniel murphy comes back in 5 55 left to go here in the second that is two reakers number 34 is a sophomore so he's getting quite a bit of varsity experience here for only a sophomore as that is daniel murphy takes that one up and another charge call i don't know about that one there but hard to tell it looks like a 50-50 call and the dragon's got the benefit of that one good strong take though from murphy that's his third unfortunately he's probably gonna have to sit the rest of the quarter as the ref down on the far end on our end was one he didn't know about that one shook his head a little bit
039but there's nothing we can do about that we just got to play the next play so 5 40 to go here in the second ref disagree with his other ref partner looks like it's me he looked at coach shitty because coach city seemed upset and he had nothing to say so he just shrugged his head a little bit interesting as allen was taken by northern a strong take there columbus east coach city is fired up now 16 point game with 525 left in the second quarter we'll take a break and form a word from our sponsor columbus auto group why is the columbus auto group the number one destination for your vehicle needs it's the no vulture zone duh our sales staff is 100 non-commissioned which means they are 100 committed to making sure you
040leave in the right vehicle not the one that pays them the most from sales to service from online tune store at the no vulture zone speed is key our goal is to get you a price payment and an appraisal in 15 minutes not ready to visit the dealership no problem all right we have to cut that a little bit short my apologies as we have to get back to the game action here so we have a late sub number 20. isaac kenton never mind excuse me he's only coming to the score to say about the thoughts what the wish soul was for i don't yeah i think it was but i don't think he got there in time and the ref had to motion his other ref partner off that it was a late sub
041and he has to wait to the next dead ball as boyer passed it off two reekers this dragon team does a great job with their defense switching on and off daley takes a long three and short not the best shot there i think we could get those anytime we want to go down the court but i think the dragons want them to take that shot every time as now we have number 20 isaac hinton comes in for brandon northern as the dragons will have the ball out of bounds 4 59 left to go i mean that's all you really got to do hey they literally just they didn't even run a play there they just literally lobbed the ball up to myers and he just took it himself as boyer hits a deep three that
042was way long it looked like from the volleyball line there and he he's hit a couple of those tonight as jacoby follows his shots and puts that one up for two i think we know that in the second half what coach shooting's going to tell the boys we got to stop number 32. yeah he's been the big damager tonight there's not much of an answer for him but they're going to do a little bit better as ben major picks up another three two straight makes beyond the arc for the o's it's gonna be hard to get a shootout with the dragons tonight defense for the olympics has got to lock up a little bit better here as he catches and fires right away he is a three bucket tonight malcolm he has not missed many
043if at all i think i only call one miss tonight and that was a three so there we go a 30 second timeout taking 406 left to go here in the second both teams are scoring quite a bit of points it's just myers has been the x factor tonight for the dragons he's quite unstoppable right now the olympians have no answer for them you guys are doing good it's i mean with the ball movement it's just sometimes you just got to realize the team's either got a couple good players you just gotta you just gotta accept the fact and keep playing i guess and that's what the olympians are doing yeah they're trying their best right now it's hard to go against the d1 guy as tall as he is with no help of yourself
044with tallness as here we go four minutes to go here in the second silva passed it off two major he ended off back to silva from reakers as he's dribbling to its left spins back to the right in the corner two boyer a three ball and that did not look good once it left his hands and that one was thrown off the head of a dragon and the boyer and the olympians excuse me we'll take the ball back as the ref has a whistle number 30. zach zach picks up the foul think it's the first time we've seen him tonight number 30. he picks up and both teams are in the bonus until the end of this quarter and that one was short we got to make those free throws yeah one on ones you
045gotta at least hit the first first front end of that as an 18 foot jump shot is up and good great defense by boyer yeah he was all over him yeah that's good defense there's literally nothing you can do about that just a better better shot as that one is stolen away and it looks like it's going to be olympian basketball jacoby got his hand on it and might have been the last one to touch it i didn't see who touched it last kind of a hard call to see by a ref i but that's as reakers tries to get to its left great defense by the dragons as ben major catches in shoots from beyond the arc ryu long rebounded by boyer and he takes a three and off one thing i've noticed by
046the dragons they followed their shot very well to keep the possession alive as the o's i think once they get that figured out it's going to be they're going to be a lot better on the offensive end yeah that's good coaching by silver creek i'm sure they practice that every day we have number 20 isaac hinton passes it off to kobe and here we go we have jacoby comes off the screen and off of one foot and off the mark and a one hand tipped by number 20 isaac kenton he sit in the air for a long time on that one to get that one to fall yeah the initial tip almost went in off the olympian hand luckily it didn't and the silver dragons got the second second tip as you can see tyler
047boyer made that three he's hit quite a bit of those here in the first half yeah i think the olympics got a lean on boyer and major a little bit more he's been there they've been the best players tonight for the olympians that's a high ball screen set by jacoby makes the olympians switch and have a mitch match with jacoby and major but they make a switch there [Music] as we've had the matchup quite a bit tonight jacoby and boyer and he catches and fires a three and off the mark rebounded by silva as he's pushing the ball up the court keeps his eyes up was looking at ben major but did not throw it and he spins kicks it out two reakers he takes a three looks good from here and exactly what happened
048moneyball is good 140 left to go here in the second leo's trying to make a comeback took advantage of a route of a miss as you left or excuse me the dragons answer right back i'm telling you what each of these teams excuse me each of these players for the dragons can fire the three balls reekers makes the second straight four in a row both sides four threes in a row back to back to back to back i think the olympians are gonna have to go out and pressure them beyond the arc make them as look at that great ball movement by the dragons he fires a three off the mark ends is the streak of four straight made gotta take advantage of another miss from the dragons great idea just threw it a little
049behind him as number 30 mighty got away with the push and that's exactly what happened nice call there from the ref on our side julius daly takes that foul and we have two subs coming in tonight number zero hayden gardner and 24 braden northern this tells you how deep the dragons are they had a freshman guard starting tonight dreekers passes it off two daily as we are under a minute to go as boyer fires a three and that is good the olympians are kind of getting into rhythm from beyond the ark and that's what's keeping them in this ball game as 30 seconds to go the defense needs to get a stop here if we have enough time left we need to score and going to halftime with the momentum that could be huge for
050the olympians 20 seconds wondering if ben major will go out and put some pressure on the ball here and he comes out as northern dribbles it back out we're at 15. who do you think is going to shoot this last one here i don't know why i want to be jacoby but we'll see five seconds up and that's the last thing you needed for the olympians going into halftime was an n1 like that what's four that's points for the dragons and momentum shift for the dragon that's huge right there with four seconds left in the second 4.1 seconds remain here in the second can you convert the n1 and off the mark and jacoby gets the rebound off of it and didn't get the shot off in time so folks there we have it 52

054beat you one thing i noticed each team think it was up to 18 fouls so hopefully the olympians do not get their key players in some foul trouble i think as daniel murphy has kind of got out early in foul trouble so we need to we need to play aggressive but be careful on who we found what we do yeah they're going to shorten up the fouls a little bit chris and daniel got a little bit of foul trouble uh chris i know is he's been known for having foul trouble being a little bit reckless but you get that under control daniel had some unfortunate calls on him but we'll see how the second half goes out let's see he'll be able to manage the fouls on both sides as we got word that cooper
055jacoby is committed to toledo university to further his academic and athletic career to play basketball yes congratulations to jacoby um i'm sure my school ball state will uh be seeing plenty of him sometimes yeah and number four trey kaufman who is not playing tonight it's another big d1 commit so 2d one commits and that could definitely help you go into making a deep tournament run as i'm sure that silver creek has their eyes set on the state championship yeah those two uh two d ones two d one uh starters will definitely help you but it's about the complimentary pieces they can't all do it by themselves and uh they're comforting pieces around them are good enough i think they'll be able to make a deep state run it all just depends on kobet right now
056so for the olympians even though the score looks like it's o's are kind of down by a lot they really aren't they just ran into a really good and well coached team i think the olympians are gonna have a great year this year they've looked to show signs of it and if they can keep getting better and practicing they're gonna have a great year i think yeah and then without one of their better pieces jacob pierce and i and i believe also one other one of their better pieces casey bartholomew is not playing i don't know if it's co-related or injury but appears he's not suited up tonight and playing so they're missing two of their better players so that's positive news for the olympians to only be down by 14 to the third ranked
057state third ranked team in the state tonight i have to agree so we are about 3 30 here and we will take another short break and when we return we will be back with olympian basketball welcome back to the live stream here zach a question just came to my head and i gotta ask you so say if you were a four or five star highly recruited high school basketball player where would you take your talents to to commit and play your four years or maybe a year and go to the nba where would you like to go well that's an interesting question uh obviously i am not a four-star five-star athlete um but that's a good question it depends on the type of sport you want to play you know if it was for football
058i want to take take my times to a place where i want to play you know i'd probably want to play receiver try and go to a top-tier school lots of recruiting open spots for basketball that's also another good question you kind of want to go to a basketball school you want to go to a school that's prominent for the sport you're going to play so if you want to go to duke and play basketball or if you want to play football you might go to an alabama so it's just kind of depends on the sport you play i gotta go if i was going for football gotta go with i like coach dabo swinney over there at clemson so that'd be my go to and for basketball i would stay home town i mean
059not hometown but in-state and go to purdue and play for coach matt painter i think he's a very underrated coach in my opinion it's a fair assessment he's got some couple good good receivers over there at purdue with david bell and rhondella moore they're going to be top tier top tier nfl draft prospects coming up in next year colts could use a guy like rondell moore that's for sure now let me ask you this malachi with all the code restrictions i've seen on the benches that they're kind of spread apart and they're like well it looks to be about six feet apart i don't know why they weren't doing that earlier i've sat in those benches before during games i played and they're not very comfortable you're literally squeezed in there about as tight as
060you can get and that's for the way it is well all basketball players nba college just the way it always has been i don't know why this wasn't a thing earlier it's really uncomfortable i think with this whole clover thing we're going to see a bunch of new things that are going to be in play and maybe that's one of them maybe i think it should stay no matter when kobet's gone hopefully the next next few months with the vaccine rolling out but uh i definitely think it's something that should stay so now it's going to be to each team to come out hot and pick the energy back up they had some dead time here we're about 10 seconds away from the start of the second half and the o's need to get off
061to a run here and maybe inch back to this lead yes that's for sure the olympia's got to continue some of that momentum when they came out and ran a little bit and got some good boards they were able to get some transition points like we stated in the keys to the game they gotta continue giving the ball to boyer boyer's been the key factor tonight he hits him clipping some threes tonight and the champion's gonna try and find a way to stop jacoby if i have the dragons i would literally give the ball jacoby every time he has not had any reason to not give him the ball right now so on the floor for the olympians we have silva major murphy boyer and reekers so we are just underway that's where they're going
062immediately to jacoby as they try to get a double team there and the olympians hustle back great switching off by the olympians as he gets the 18-foot jump shot off the mark miss time to jump by daniel and the dragons get the ball back as that one is up and good with those 50-50 balls if you're the olympians two quick points for the dragons as dino murphy takes a three a little long there i would have moved the ball a little bit there to try to get a good shot especially being down here that shot was off the mark and rebounded by the dragons as they take a three five straight points just like that for the dragons not how the olympians need to start at the half looks like the dragons coming out a
063little bit of half court pressure here as they get through there no problem this dragon seems just so fast and long as we have a wide open silva and that is off the mark two straight threes taken by the o's both off there that's how you beat that press and guess who once again jacoby as it looks like they're going to keep jacoby maybe he's their faster longer guy at that yeah he's on top because of his length he's going to be able to maybe get a couple tip passes and try to get some steals for the dragons a third straight three by the o's as that one is off the mark once again three empty scoreless possessions there by the o's not how you want to start dragons have come out and taking over
064the second half immediately as there's a foul [Applause] puts brandon northern at the line for two 6 24 left to go here in the third as that one is off the mark maybe that announcer is to our left might have jinxed him a little bit as we can hear him talking about how he didn't miss a free throw yeah that may have been a little bit jinx i also heard a little bit of noise coming from the crowd i'm not sure exactly what it was but it may have thrown him off a little bit he missed his second one we all know how that goes for field goal kickers they always say he hasn't missed one yet and hooks it but as ben major drives his way in and a great strong take there by
065major to put two points on the board for the o's 40 59 is our score maybe that one was a travel yep it looked like there was and that's exactly what the ref saw as well so olympians will get the ball back after a quick score 606 left to go silva coach shitty wants them to push them off the court as they go to that man-to-man defense to daniel murphy he takes another three he looks at that one and it falls you could tell that was gonna fall he walked away off that after that one yeah we had the angle on that one exactly where we're sitting we could see the angle of the ball going towards the rim it looked good when it left its hand as yo's got another stop and it looks
066like oh excuse me i thought it was olympian ball but switched the call there so the dragon take the ball out of bounds as northern has the ball at the top maybe coming off the screen to kobe he literally snagged that one really far i mean he's just so long big lengthy arms out there and snagged it as the offensive rebound by number 20 isaac hinton is that one by daniel murphy off the mark rebounded by silver great pass and great job by the o's he snuck behind you kobe on that one and went up on that one that shot's more difficult than what it looked like as an and-one for the dragons and that is northern at the line once again he was just at the line a couple minutes ago and missed both
067of his free throws i think that's daniel murphy's fourth foul so he will take a seat yes it is julius daly comes in for him as we have a late sub for the dragons number 10 cooper murley and looks who comes off on the floor for the dragons maybe a great sign yeah i think that's his first time coming out tonight maybe not to come back as that one and one is converted 45-64 is our score about five minutes to go here in the third great pass and a great cut and and one is good by tyler boyer put him at the line for one and just like that guess he's coming back into the game oh looks like jacoby's coming right back in not sure what the point of taking him out for about
06810 seconds was but obviously there's just that hydration a quick swig of water and he's right back in so your boyer can convert this free throw and gets the shooter's touch the backspin on the ball got that one to fall he converted the n1 there has been major picks him up high on the half court there pass it off to number 10. back to northern comes off a screen set by jacoby that's such a dane a deadly play right there because you're thinking jacoby's so high in the first he's going to pass it off to him and he just uses that to his advantage and gets to the rack is that one is stolen by northern and stays here boy i'll tell you what northern tonight if it wasn't for meyer if it wasn't for
069jacoby north may be the reason why dragons would win this game he's been everywhere tonight offensively and defensively hustling around the court is it they get it in two boyer spins back to his left maybe a foul there did not call and they have the numbers here maybe an off the backboard all over that as boyer takes that one off the pass by silva just saw their coach shake his head he knew and a great play by major kept that one alive he threw it behind his back and we have a foul put him at the line for two that was all major right there this is a that was a big momentum shift i can tell the dragon's coach is not happy right now but what just happened that's a big momentum shift for
070the olympians as bill as major goes to the line here not if i was on well free throws off the mark and this radio guy next to me took the words right out of my mouth he i was gonna say shane has three fouls and northern comes off for the dragons as well i think number 10 if i'm not mistaken was in got a little bit of action for the jv team as he has changed his clothes his uniform is out here for and getting some varsity action how many quarters zach do you know how many they're allowed to have i believe it is i believe it's five a night i could be wrong i know for football it was five per weekend but um i think it might be the same for basketball i'm
071not sure about that though and that foul is on 34. his second and team fouls the olympians three the dragons two 51 354 left to go as that one is up and good dragons have been at the free throw line quite a bit here in this ball game yeah olympia's gonna short up their foul troubles a little bit as the second one is up and off the mark strong rebound by boyer see he's pushing the ball off the court as he pulls up a three a little short there and rebounded by hayden gardner number 10 into the corner they take a three off the mark once again follows his shot that's a big thing right there that's a long rebound back to kobe and boyer looks like got a piece of it but stays with
072it and gets that one to to go in that's just too tall of a task that one a little bit mr kobe is so good at jumping and getting right and gathering himself he does one thing i think it's underrated about him that i've seen tonight he has a really quick second jump and he displayed that there on the other end for that quick two points that puts julius daly at the line for two he's really stepped in and had some key shots and some key minutes here for the 6-2 guard for the olympians he's a sophomore as this one is up and good as we have a brandon northern end for the dragons bergman a fantastic football player 2 3 sport athlete excuse me also runs track starting corner and receiver this year for
073the olympians malachi as you may know or excuse me last yeah this year excuse me yeah he made some really big plays this season and glad to see him out on the court playing basketball and looking forward to run track with him this year as brandon looks at the screen does not use it once again that screen high ball screen by jacoby is i mean they're playing that thinking he's going to use it by jacoby and brandon's so quick with the dribble and he just blows right by people as major gets that one up and fall he's been doing a great job driving hard tonight and getting his way down there down low yeah like i said the olympia's got to find the ball in the hands of major and bullier more they're their two
074sparks tonight jacoby takes a three and good one 72 points in the third for the dragons right now olympian's got to find a way to stop somebody last year they did the dragons put up a hundred points twice in a season last year it's kind of crazy a lot for high school basketball that's craze off the mark from beyond the arc jacoby fires a three shorts dragons have been a good job of hustling getting second chance points tonight because there's another one right there olympians got to try and find a way to come up with these 50 50 balls and hustle on the ground a little bit that was made by hayden gardner got ben major to jump on that one as daley takes a three and nobody was inside in the paint to even
075try to rebound for the o's he shot a three on that one a great pass and that is number 30 zack sticker gets that one to fall and coach shitty calls a timeout and looks upset with the o's [Applause] 1 40 to go here in the third 76 56 our score dragons on top is across town columbus north came up short against the second ranked team in the state so both of these columbus schools getting a hard task here in their first game with north playing the second ranked team and east playing this the third ranked team in the state so just only going to make these boys better for the long run when they get into the tournament that's for sure as we both know north and east are in the same sectional so
076that'll be an interesting game if they are paired up we have number 12 silva passing into daily as he pulls it back out as chris bergman's looking to drive to his right pulls it out pass it off to silva in the corner two major great pump fake gets in the air an 18-foot jump shot off the mark the great shot just could not get that one to fall as number zero shoots at three looked good from here and off the mark a long rebound three on one we got the numbers as they get it to daily and great hustle by the dragons as major once again gets to the block and gets the foul call puts him at the line for two once again he's done a great job driving in there strong and getting
077foul calls tonight what you gotta try and do put the refs in a bind make them make the call and that's exactly what ben major did there then major the brother of josh major i'm sure you're quite familiar with him as he led the olympians to a state championship 2017 as that one falls will reeker comes in for senior tyler boyer who had a great first half from beyond the arc he's had a big task tonight trying to guard cooper jacoby the toledo commit as he goes two for two at the line on that trip and northern has the ball it's major picks him up right as soon as he crosses the half court line and chris picks up a foul i think crease is one of the people i would think would they put
078at him early chris on jacobi earlier in the game chris is pretty fast he's pretty physical and long but he's just a little bit too handsy i think skeleton would have taken advantage of that no box out there by the olympians i'm sure that's what they're going to be working on this week is boxing out too many offensive rebounds by the dragons tonight and many of those resulted in points it's gonna be interesting to see the box score and see how many second chance points the dragons has tonight his fourth i'm wondering if they're gonna have a sub and for him does not look like it 35 seconds to go here in the third as that is a long past two major to daily two reakers to silva he looks at a long three he
079takes it off the back iron dragons have done a great job when the east is in their half court offense taking away the inside 10 seconds remaining here we go they've had the ball most of the time for the last second shot as northern gets it into the corner three balls good and that's going to end the third quarter 81 points in a game quite a bit of scoring here i mean most of the time 57 is gonna put you right there to win the game it's just this isn't some regular team east playing they're playing the third third ranked team in the state 81 points for them as we head into the fourth quarter the o's have kept playing hard they're not going to quit it's just i'm wondering to see if any of
080these guys for the silver creek plays any other sports because they seem like they've spent a lot of time together with uh with each other playing practicing maybe they play on some all-star teams together or do some something else because they got a really good team chemistry yeah i know i know my brother he played with um jacoby actually on the same aau team and they went to tennessee a couple summers ago and won a tournament down there so the iae team is one of the better ones in the state so i know that i know that they obviously you could only have for aau teams you could only have three people per high school team on the same aau team so um i think he was the only one on from silver creek on
081that team but i know there's lots of other good kids from around the state on that team alrighty so we are starting this fourth quarter here eight minutes on the clock 57 81's our score boyer reekers daley bergman and murphy on the courts for the olympians as daily guys the dragons still have jacoby in the game right now it seems to be put away i'm we're going to be wondering whenever they're going to take them out here i'm sure it'll probably be soon we'll see both of the rats call it carry on bergman just the little things for the olympians they're just going to need to fix up as it is the first game of the season you expect those but hopefully they can get those figured out as they go later on in the
082season with boxing out travels carries just little things like that that hopefully we can get them fixed later on and kicked out to northern 4-3 looks like hit the top of the backboard looks like yeah they called an over-the-top violation they said the ball hit the top of the backboard and came in looks like the ref is going to overturn the other referee's call as that back basket is going to count i think that's a correct call there that's what it looked like it's like coach chad is going to try and argue this but i don't know if he has much of an argument all righty well we're back with basketball after that as bergman takes the corner three off the mark that's the kobe 18 foot jump shot pitch shot for him he hangs
083in the air quite a bit and gets a forward lean and gets that one to fall as boyer takes it he's going to take it right out of my great spin move left-handed lay-up great move to get that shot off but did not get that one to fall as number zero draws a foul that's picks up another foul for craze fourth foul quite a bit of fouls coming off the bench noticing whippings don't have been major and that's an interesting move if they're gonna have any chances of all getting back to this game you would think they want your better ball handler out there but as that one is very short for the dragons as last year's dragons team they have won three straight sectional championships and won the regional 20 2019 won the semi
084state in 2019 and state champs in 2019 so silver creek is very well known to making a long state run as last year's was sadly cut short for across the state with covid coming in during that time as a high pass two boy or two reekers he takes a three and moneyball is good nothing but net by will reekers 60 89 a lot of points is scored and that's krase's fifth foul and looks like a subs coming in for birdman major silva come in for the o's all right zach i pulled my calculator out on my phone right now there's a 149 points combined between each team that's quite a bit of points if you ask me well if you can bet on high school sports i don't know what the line would be but
085if you took the over it's pretty good chance you would have made some money tonight as northern kicks it out passes up on a three back to northern he fires at three maybe trying to draw the foul there but once again not a box out by the olympians as that one is up and good for the dragons that looked like a difficult shot and there's a difficulty right there good up and under i'm sure the o's are going to get the film tonight go over it in the next coming days and they will get these things figured out well they'll have an off day tomorrow with thanksgiving and friday i'm sure they'll be back at it and practice watching film show that'll be the first thing they do right idea just they read that one
086like a book but his foot was on the line zach take your call are they going to get 200 points tonight if i had to guess yeah probably the way they're scoring right now and if they don't take if they'll take jacoby out i think they'll more than i think they'll definitely get to 100. well my question is does the scoreboard allow 100 points oh yeah it lots 100 points i've seen it go to 100 points you have i have not some as we have a timeout here by the olympians and once again our columbus east cheerleaders there we have it our columbus east cheerleaders it looks like one of the silver creek coaches has a good old pete carroll and coach reich's face mask with the face shield yeah um i don't know much
087about them i thought the whole point was to have like your mouth and nose covered i guess it does the face shield but i think i would prefer a mask but i know for comfort wise i know that face shield is better as that one is taken a long pass to murphy she has jacobi on him as reekers gets to the block trump stop and good a great move 5 29 left to go here in the fourth as they get it to the low block and stolen by silva that one was put away by reekers too major and a little hard but boyer was right there to clean that one up and put that one up for two 66-91 holy cow that score court scoreboard operators had his hands busy tonight as that is going
088to be going the other way for the operators me i had to collect a lot of numbers as that was picked an offensive foul brandon northern five minutes left here i'm still surprised the game the dragons still have north and jacobi even in the game i i don't know why they do their risk injury this game is probably in the bag it's about 99 chance they win this game um the only reason i can see them in is trying to get 100 points trying to run up the score but i don't see why what the point of that is miscommunication there and we're gonna have a jump ball maybe a jump ball possession arrow silver creek gets that one 4 48 left to go here in the fourth feels like this fourth quarter has been
089kind of a longer quarter than what it's been here with the other three quarters theory that may have crossed my head something that some schools do is to try and boost stats for uh for all conference and stuff like that and myers might be trying to go for mr basketball that might be another reason why he's in they try and boost his stats a little bit esme silva got up on that one as the euro step and one is converted by brandon northern puts him at the line for the n1 ben silva's only six foot but on that one down on the other end he looked like he was about six seven with that tip yeah really athletic play there from silva we're sitting at 93 maybe 94 here and 94 points in total for
090the dragons as they are now in the bonus through the hands of reekers coach shitty still trying to get these boys to play hard and i don't think they've given up just yet you like to see that from a team just keep playing hard all you can ask in a game like this right now just continue to play hard as northern brings the ball up major picks him up kick out three jacoby and he's been a green light a walking bucket i should put it tonight as daniel murphy takes the 18-foot jump shot off the mark he's playing like tj warren in the nba bubble he's just a man in a different zone right now and that one is up and good five points 99 points here dribbles the ball up the court he looks
091at a long two and off the mark and here we have it folks we might see a hundred points and northern takes it up and there we have it 101 points holy cow and that one's stolen by jacoby he pulls up a three off the mark and it's going to be east basketball and we have three guys coming in and it looks like jacoby is coming off the floor northern's coming off the court and hayden gardner's coming off the floor so that looks like that's exactly what they were trying to do they're trying to break 100 and then get them out as a coach dragons i'm loading the benches i wonder when the olympics are going to bring in some of the jv guys here as murphy gets that one to fall puffed his chest
092out a little bit there that was a nice strong take that was on 30 daniel murphy 70 points for the olympians man they've the offense hasn't been a problem tonight it's just been the defense since trying to stop jacoby in northern that one was off the mark yeah i would take my bet if you score 70 points in a high school game you're coming away with the win but silver creek thought differently as number 12 nate dalman comes off the bench and just fires a three as boyer takes that one gets the foul call puts him at the line for two quite a bit of fouls here and both of these halves puts each team in the bonus 256 left to go 70 to 104. this first one is good most of the nba teams
093you're we see in the triple digits but very other seldom we ever see a college team let alone a high school team as boyer gets that one to fall 72 points as well i think wins some games at the collegiate level it's just they ran into a great offensive team tonight with the silver creek dragons as number 32 and blocked by daniel murphy he sent that one and gets that one but throws that pass away maybe got too excited with that and they have the numbers free throw jump shot good by number 20. isaac hinton he's the only starter i believe left here in the game as dana murphy takes a step back and good setback three daniel murphy looks like the olympians about to clear the bench out here as the jv team did
094pick up a big win over silver creek great job by the jv players as they are about to all check in as they get him trapped stolen by boyer throws it up to murphy gets the left block and good 77 points by the o's your hands cramping up yet it's kind of more on my shoulders and there we have it folks our starters are good they played a fantastic game good work by all five of them 77 points wins mostly i would say 80 of the games here at this level like we've mentioned several times ran into a the third ranked team in the state and they're ranked third for a reason yeah see how the jv boys do here this one is up and long and rebounded by anthony lloyd and they find coleman
095his brother graduated last year he's one of the two seniors gets that one to fall 1 30 left to go here in the fourth like we mentioned jv did pick up a win over silver creek so good work by them i think the future's bright for these uh maybe for the olympians here as they have quite a bit of seniors but also getting the younger guys quite a bit of playing time as we have julius daly one of a younger sophomore getting quite a bit of action tonight it's always good when younger guys can get some experience in a varsity game you always want it the other way around though when you're up by a lot instead of down by law as anthony stays there and gets that one to fall personally i know anthony
096he runs track and he has some major hops as he almost threw tried to throw one down in the jv game but miss handled that one this handled the dunk in the jv game 38.4 seconds 34.8 seconds excuse me left here in the fourth maybe got away with maybe the dragons are gonna dribble the clock out here all righty folks it looks like that's all we're gonna have tonight yo's played hard for four quarters that's what something we mentioned here at the beginning of the broadcast i mean as a coach you can't be really mad 81 points it's just the offense was not the problem tonight a little few things there maybe some boxing out very pleased with the o's and their performance tonight 81 points but silver creek comes away with the win silver
