001[Music] now [Music] now [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] ah [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] 35-28 game in overtime so the dogs are in the contest two in one and uh i don't know who the favorite is tonight coach but it should be a good one well i think uh from where we're sitting we we like north um and that and that's uh i actually have a i think a theory is starting to shape up here about north season you know we saw them in a big win their first week of the season against uh gibson southern

002and and then we watched them again against east and uh columbus columbus east and in columbus this is a great football team and and i thought that um north looked a bit flat right um last week's game the fact that they pulled that game out in southport i think has now got them ready for the season i think they are ready to play football they know how to come back from a game they almost came back in this game they definitely came back last week had an overtime win and i think they now are primed to win this football game and win a bunch of football games after this game so i'm looking forward to it luke hammonds enters the game as the leading passer of the the dogs of course averaging 145 yards in

003the air per game and blake huffman is the leading rusher through three games 75 carries 513 yards averaging 171 yards per game coach yeah he's uh really pounding things out in the ground a matter of fact he's averaging 6.8 yards per carry yeah those kids and both of these kids are are fantastic football players and i think you know you look at the roncalli team they're bringing a pretty good running back in with the the hubler kid uh who who rushed for 110 yards uh last week in their in their loss um you know they they they clearly he's gonna have to do more than that hit 27 carries for 110 yards if he even wants to keep up with huffman i think he's gonna he might have to carry it 40 times i don't

004know how he keeps up with huffman i think i think huffman is going to be outstanding i think hammond's kid is going to be outstanding and it goes without saying he's the hammons kid's doing great at quarterback and he's throwing the ball really well he's also rushing it really well he had 100 over 100 yards rushing again last week so between the two of them carrying the football if they can pass it and carry it for 200 yards you know collectively i think they're gonna you know north is gonna have a great night we'll introduce the roncalli rebels here in a few minutes and talk about their stat lines and their first two games of the contest let's take a minute now and pause and listen to the sound of north um hmm yes coming

005out [Music] ladies and gentlemen on september 11 2001 our country experienced one of our great national tragedies when innocent lives were lost through senseless acts of terrorism 19 years later we still feel the great loss and effects that fateful day had on our country as we did in 2001 we continue to stand united as one nation that continues to support and defend the freedoms and liberties we enjoy as americans tonight the sound of north under the direction of mr brian munoz who have performed america the beautiful as an honor to those who lost their lives on september 11th and in dedication to the brave men and women who serve to continue to protect us on the home front and abroad [Music] yes [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Applause] and now ladies and gentlemen the sound

006of norah plays our national anthem [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Applause] i know okay we're back at max anders field about six minutes until kickoff another sound performance so to speak from the sound to north led by brian munoz coach there's no no competitions this year for marching band uh but they they look great they have not missed a beat so to speak yeah they did a nice job it's uh yeah it's a it's one of these days where you wake up in the morning and you try to figure out how you're gonna remember uh you know what's a good way to remember what happened 19 years ago and that and i think i think the band just did a really a really nice job helping people

007reflect and it was really beautiful it is september 11th patriot day the flag at half staff in the northeast part of the uh part of the stadium here it's a beautiful night for football 68 degrees a light breeze although the flags are not moving at all so we'll see if that changes at all and turns into a factor with the kicking game but here we are at max anders field joined by john havana we've got the columbus north bulldogs who are getting ready to take on the roncalli rebels out of indianapolis the dogs two and one roncalli 1-1 after a defeat last week against 3a number one chatard this this should be a good one we talked a little bit earlier about some statistic lines for the dogs the uh the rebels they have a

008they have a quarterback number 15 aiden leffler is a junior he's been he's had he's played at least two years under center for for the rebels roncalli will not throw the ball a tremendous amount he's averaging 133 yards per game but they have a senior who's got 59 carries and averaging six and a half yards per carry for a total of 376 over two games yeah baron hubler had a nice game last week said earlier he had 110 yards rushing last week in their in their loss and you know just it sounds like a kid they run they ride quite a bit in 27 carries last week which is quite a few a few carries um so i think we'll have a good we'll have a good battle tonight at the running back position for

009sure um and and i like you know i like that i've said it in every game up to this point uh the hammond's kid is always i feel like he's tonight he's the first time maybe he's not the underdog and hopefully he comes out and plays like he's been playing tim bless leading the dogs entering the field now tim in his 21st year here at columbus north which is hard to believe he started here in the year 2000 let me pause real quick and appreciate roncalli come out i feel with an american flag it's nice nice on such a day as today tim bless in his 21st year here at north high school 23rd year overall and he is seeking his 150th career win here this evening just a sidebar i would like to reflect

010on the fact that roncalli guys just broke through real paper you know they've moved away from you know this velcro uh you know whatever they call that when you run through it you know it they went through real papers man these guys are tough hand painted hand-painted real paper i saw i heard that i heard the tear up here that's a yeah great observation coach good good start kids gotta be tough you gotta start hard you know go through paper to get the game going [Applause] on the other side of the ball john rodenberg leads the roncalli rebels he is just in his first year at roncalli he was at uh lawrence central i believe for a couple years before that but he has uh he actually has a tremendous amount of experience in the

011cincinnati area he's uh he was a cincinnati moeller for i don't know eight or ten years won a couple state championships there he is uh [Applause] in his 27th year 175 career victories already so just his just a second you're here at roncalli but certainly uh seems to know what he's doing on the other side of the ball well we'll see coach we talked earlier about uh last week being a mental toughness game and for the dogs to come back after after spotting a couple of early early scores on the road and uh really putting together a sound second half and having to fight through an overtime win to pull out a win so those those help those wins help teams grow for sure yeah i i tell you it's a there's been a couple

012of things for this bulldogs team that has been um they've been they've been behind a couple games now you know the east you know the east game they were behind the entire game they almost fought their way through that one and came back and won it and unfortunately they they for the bulldogs they didn't do that the fact that they got through the overtime last week i think it built a tremendous amount of confidence to be in the east game after they were down i think 21 to nothing they came back they lose that game by four points coming back at the game last week and then winning in overtime makes you a strong team it's not fun to win that way uh it will make them a stronger team down the stretch i think

013this team's gonna play really well tonight i'd be surprised if if they didn't win this game by a couple touchdowns we'll see how it shakes down no common opponents between the the two teams thus far but roncalli does play bloomington north and bloomington south here in about four weeks so we'll see how the season shapes up between between both teams clocks at zeros and we are ready for a coin toss and a kickoff here at max anders field playing your song again coach we're one minute in and we're already talking about metallica and i appreciate you making the connection not being my song i'm not sure where that had come from but i'm okay to it's it's not chicago nobody nobody's chicago we we've established that last week hopefully uh you have a chance to

014listen to our interview last week you can't come into the field listening to chicago coach i could but 18 year old kids could not that's it's a strong point well one of the factors of this game i think you know i wrote it down here and and i it's it's understated i think columbus north has a great i've said it in previous games they got a great kicking game i actually think field position matters we saw in the previous games you know where you started the field i think this team um the roncalli team struggled last week with field position they actually started i think in their own end of the field down at the 25 28 yard line most of the game last week um if that can happen tonight i think it's an

015advantage for columbus north and i think we got the kickers to get it down there and make it tough for them so let's see how it goes here i'm just going to receive the ball to start the game blythe and scruggs are back deep i believe caster had been back there in the past so a little bit of change there and roncalli will kick off and they will kick away from the scoreboard from the north to the south and that is uh number nine luke russell 215 junior from roncalli who teased the ball up that's a healthy healthy young man right there know where he's going i bet you're a big boy he looks like he might play a different position than just kicker as well that's a strong kid yeah it's like a linebacker

016and we're underway received by blyth on the eight yard line he's gonna bring it up to the left hash and he is clobbered clobbered at the 20-yard line good to see the sophomore out there though tyler couple catches last week you know i think i think hammond stewart did six guys last week coach and and all of them had at least two receptions which is pretty amazing doing a good job of spreading the ball around for sure yeah definitely tight end left here for the dogs slot receiver to the right hammond's in the gun and that's a quick penalty against the rebels yeah he looks excited he jumped outside there number 11. hard count by hammons gets him a free five yard pass gonna be second excuse me he'll be first in five on the

01725 yard line same formation here tied into the left hammons of the gun huffman offset to the left that's going to be a quarterback keep to the left-hand side and ham is going to go for a good yardage across the 37-yard line for a first down really good blocking up front coach i mean uh probably a four foot five foot wide gap there and uh hammers does a nice job of picking the lane and going with it really good run north comes the line no huddle tied into the right this time trips with the right to the right to the field side heyman's out of the gun and tommy's going to give to huffman yeah that's i mean huffman did a nice job there he ends up getting about almost about three um but he

018got hit in the backfield pretty quick so the fact that he works it out to about two and a half yards there is uh was a nice little gain from where he got hit initially i apologize coach that's dylan redmond carrying the ball there 21 dylan redman he's a 5 8 175 junior for the dogs still in the game trips to the right this time hammond's going to sprint to his right looking downfield he's got a connection and a first down nice pass casted or the recipient matt casteller did a nice job there just sitting down there's a little little hole in the defense looked like they were in his own and and cassiter did a nice job sitting down between the backer and the in the corner and uh gets about 10 yards [Music]

0192 by 2 formation now ball in the 50 yard line ball in the right hash first and 10 for the dogs redmond's gonna sprint out to left and they're gonna run yeah that bubble out for a gain of about three quick pass there is sean patel with the reception for a gain of about three give him four second and six bowling the 46 for the dogs 10 minutes 23 seconds remain in the first quarter ham is looking back to pass he's got a cast across the middle across 35 across the 30 down to the 25 really really great play cass center comes across the middle there he's wide open nothing but grass in front of him for 20 yards coach another big reception for the dogs first down really good start to the game for

020the bulldog ball rest on the 27 yard line [Music] same personnel in the game he gave us to redmond this time he's across the middle up that left hash for a gain of call of two three yeah skinny two second and eight ball in the 25 nine minutes 20 seconds to go in the first quarter ham is in the gun redmond offset to his right trips to the right trips to the field hammond's going to keep it this time looking for yardage up the middle is stopped quick whistle hey quick whistle i think they picked him up off the ground about five guys hold him he looked like he was about six five and since he's not six five he off the ground about a foot and a half there i think the defensive line

021picked him up chose not to drop him somewhat just disappeared in there with white jerseys not sure exactly who you credit with the tackle nonetheless it's third and sixth the ball's on the 23 yard line roncalli's got a big defensive line coach 2x2 formation looking for a hard count there and roncalli did not go for it same formation hayman's back to pass looking still looking he's going to give it to redmond on a dump route i don't think he got it now gain of about four or five across the 20-yard line he is going to be short let's see what decision the sideline makes here i think you're moving the ball don't you think you got to go same personality gotta go it's interesting it's more fun this way and call it fourth and one

022the ball rests on the 18-yard line [Applause] tight ends to the left twins to the right hammond's going to keep it again looking for your yardage that's going to be a first down yeah i think you got it by half yard coach and no signal yet from the officials they're eyeballing it and they move the chains first down for the dogs don't really don't really conduct measurements anymore do we no i liked what he did you know the official did what i do sometimes at home you know he got done when he looked at it when you're getting ready to cut a board right decided it was straight yeah that's right good enough for me redmond in motion this time and ham is going to carry it again he's right up that left hash again

023maybe a gain of two slow and steady here coach redmond looks like a tough runner i mean he's a kind of a little bubble pass there and hard running some hard yardage there two yards three yards at a time second nate ball on the 15 yard line seven minutes 30 seconds to go hammond's back to pass he'll keep it and he gets swallowed up that time that's brady new he's a 6'4 240 sophomore for the rebels yeah they had a you know they had it either i think you know if he had waited just another half a second i think he had a little bubble screen coming that would have worked out but i think he pulled it down a little too quickly there third and ten ball in the middle field ball rests on

024the 17-yard line 650 to go in the first quarter tied into the right twins to the left heyman in the gun and give it to redmond this time he's going to try to run inside zone to the right and gets a safety flying in it's a couple yards gonna pull it down it looked like a really good job i think it was number seven that came up and made the play there really good hit so carter ward on the field for the bulldogs yeah we like carter we've seen plenty of time seen plenty of him this year so far balls on the 15-yard line kick is up and it is good maybe a 31-yard field goal dogs lead 3-0 606 remain in the first quarter [Applause] yeah that one that was a nice kick by

025carter i think that was good from another 20 yards another 20 yards back [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] uh carter ward tees the ball up from the dogs 40-yard line 606 remain in the first quarter dogs lead three to enough and nothing after that field goal kicks away and it is received at the one he's cutting back outside and he has run out of bounds at the 37 that's a good really good return outstanding return by the 37 yards nice return 510 175 senior for roncalli it's you know that i don't think a lot of people realize it that's a huge difference the difference between that and starting on the 25 when you can see the 50 versus when you can't see the 50 is a completely different mindset when you're playing football you

026did a good job of cutting that cutting that back and the dogs um those bulldogs made that tackle they were coming from the back side on pursuit angle so that was a nice play to save a touchdown there they give us to the back for roncalli he scampers ahead for about three yards as we talked about before that is baron hubler he's the five nine 185 senior who carries a significant load for the for the rebels yeah like i said 27 carries uh last week 110 yards that's a bunch of carries trips to the field lefler's going to carry this one he's going to keep it across the 45 for about a game of six it'll bring up third and about three a left floor it looks like a pretty stocky kid too it looks

027like he's a pretty uh well-built kid pretty athletic kid you know he's gonna run it looks like they're both gonna run the ball a bunch last week six three two fifteen is lefleur yeah trying to get a heart count there dogs all fall for us he's your size two inches and 20 pounds coach as we as we know third and two we gave it to the back again he's gonna scamper outside and across the 50 but it will be a roncalli first down i think you know we've talked about jamal king in in all the other games but we really like jamal the way jamal comes downhill when he plays football i think this is a game where he can have a big impact as a jet sweep for the rebels too number five kyle

028locker he's a 511 141 junior the the the roncalli fans thought that was the first color and it looked like the tackle was made just behind the shoulder pad so no flag second and four gave us the hubler up the middle he's rumbling ahead he's getting to that second level coach that's the first down all the way down to the 35-yard line yeah hubler's you know he's it's basically a straight downhill and um he's done it he's done a number of times obviously and he's not scared to keep just bowling in there he's gonna get five seven yards if they don't uh fix something on the front same formation save gives this the hubler is going to bounce it back outside that's a big stick by jamal king coming up from safety for the dogs

029yeah jamal can hit and uh he gets going uh as long as he also keeps his head on and doesn't get uh if they don't throw it over top of him i think he'll have a great game he's gonna gonna have to keep his eyes open mr mr king mr king i'll tell you he he got he earned that name he hits heart second and six roncalle's going to flip their alignment here nonetheless the same formation motion again we're going to fake the jet sweep and this is going to go to hubler's and bounce it to the outside all the way down to the 20-yard line for another first down you know what's interesting about uh hubor kit here is is he he's a tough downhill runner but he's good side to side as well

030i mean he showed he can bounce it really quick uh so they're gonna have to make you know they're gonna have to get a bigger push up front they're gonna have to make tackles in the backfield because he will bounce it outside it looks like same formation same give another five yards across the to the 15 yard line of the dogs ball on the left hash that'll bring up the second five it appears to be a matter of we're gonna do the same thing and not hide it coach and you just prove that you can stop it right now oh right now i mean you keep you do the same thing right you'd call the same play you were getting five yards of pop that's what you do gave us to heaven out of the

031pistol formation this time he's going to be stopped after about a two yard game bring up third and two from the 12 yard line two minutes 15 seconds remain here in the first quarter savion got a call out coach savion out there he's in on that one if i were save you and i'd stay real close down there to that 15 yard line and cut down the amount of turf you got to cover here as you're going in out of the game give this to oh that's a fake this time is going to keep it and he's still scrambling brought down to the airline they had him they had him maybe at the line of scrimmage and they and he just bounced it to the right bouncing back into the middle of the field and

032a couple of his tackles there unfortunately turns into a five yard gain same formation he learned the pistol he's going to receive the handoff this time and barrel ahead and stop short this time down at the one yard line now they're gonna go quick here coach they're getting right back to it second one no huddle they are quickly up to the line of scrimmage and you expect yep expecting to keep it and a couple of helps from behind and that's a touchdown there used to be a rule coach you couldn't uh you couldn't push somebody from the from the back side into the end zone but that rule was removed a couple of years ago the roncalli first touchdown on the board 6-3 is how the score stands at the moment extra point pending and

033kick is up and the kick is good and that makes it 7-3 rebels 123 remain in the first quarter 123 remains in the first quarter roncalli leads 7-3 looking for a new home well you might need a loan you know applying for a mortgage doesn't have to be so tedious or time consuming introducing loan butler by ruoff home mortgage loan butler makes it easy to apply for a mortgage online by compiling each of your important loan documents into one secure space just a clickity click and before you know it you're home delightful apply online today visit lonebutler.com okay let's go bulldogs take we're back here at max anders field 7-3 roncalli leads 123 remains on the clock here in the first quarter and luke russell teased it up for the rebels [Music] the kick is

034deep that is not going to find the end zone but blithe will return again from the 12. he's going to come up to me he's got room to go one to beat he's got room to go across the 45 across the podium shoestring tackle down at the 35 of roncalli it's a fantastic return for the bulldogs and exactly what they needed that was that was a great return you know about about 60 yards total it's down to 35. he uh he did a really nice job there again you know tyler's just a sophomore getting some great time out there it's good to see him out there good return he took that ball right up the hash no dancing or juking or no madden left right buttons straight ahead straight football trust your blockers looks back-to-back

035he's looking downtown and that ball is caught caught that's hayden mcdaniel on his first touchdown reception of the season 35-yard strike you know it's always it's always surprising like how has it could get that open but you know we've seen it in a couple weeks in a row it seems like the north guys their whiteouts get they get major separation uh at their wide outs i mean three or four guys we've seen just go straight down the middle of the field that one really more down the hash but lots of separation he had 10 yards between him and the db i'm not sure if that corner was i'm not sure if that corner was in undercover expecting some safety help but that was uh i guarantee you that's going to be a tough film conversation

036tomorrow on that if you grew up in columbus you grew up with ovation audio video the ovation technology group is much more the local leader in local it solutions 25 years of keeping companies connected and running efficiently networks and managed services phone systems and temperature control data security and hd thermal imaging grow smart with ovation technology group at ovationtg.com ovationtg.com a proud sponsor of columbus high school sports hold on dad i love him i'm going up we're back at max andersfield the uh a man to my left is getting ready to introduce a couple of trivia questions here he says so we'll makes me a little bit nervous but we'll see 107 is on the clock here in the first quarter the bulldogs lead 10-7 after that 37-yard strike from hammonds to mcdaniel for a

037score yeah you guys get ready for the trivia question here we're gonna do it right at the beginning of the second quarter and for those of you know that you might have dr bozeman's cell phone number i want you to text your answer in well you might you might as well put it on the chat so everybody has it just in case they have any any feedback carter's kick is five yards deep in the end zone for a touchback this is great this is this is great so the the last the last three plays columbus it's all it's a field position thing right it eases up the game you got a 60-yard return you got a 35-yard pass play and then you got to kick into the end zone right and it's just it's under

038valued but the fact that roncalli is coming out starting on the 20 after they just got beat deep psychologically it's hard to play with 80 yards of field in front especially after you just gave up a big play and a big play yeah absolutely we saw that in the gibson southern game that the dogs jumped on them quick and scored twice and never let them move the ball very much and that that game felt at least like it was over in the second quarter and and gibbs and southern changed the way they were playing that's tossed to the wide side the dogs are all over that one [Applause] great defense there for the rebels 511 175 junior and the gun here two by two formation a little bit of a different formation than what we'd

039seen on the first drive same personnel second and ten thirty seconds remain and lethal is gonna keep it up the middle this time and safety's making tackle coach offensive alignment for the rebels do a good job of getting a hat on a hat so to speak and getting up to that second level and covering up linebackers and then it's just safety's making tackles for six or eight yards he's gonna wait we're gonna run down the clock here at the end of the first end of the first quarter in the dog's lead 10-7 good first quarter quick [Applause] directory [Music] so [Applause] we're back at max anders field ten to seven dogs lead here the start of the second quarter special thanks to rudolph mortgage for their sponsorship ovation technology first financial bank columbus wealth jolie

040rentals and julie development and overhead door of south central indiana we appreciate their generosity enables us to bring this broadcast to you with our limited number of seats that we're able to offer here at the stadium appreciate those sponsors third and two for the rebels jet motion across and it gives the huble up the middle and he is but he's gonna have a first down got hit hard good first down kerry first and ten balls in the 32 no huddle for the rebels [Music] one back with the wing twins to the field side gave us to hubler again boy it's too bad and he goes another five yards dawson just ran past him right dawson made a good move upfield and just and just ran past him i love dawson i said it before in

041the first quarter and i'll say it again that it seems like the rebels are just controlling that line of scrimmage they're big up front they're they look like they're fundamentally very sound they are getting to the second level like you were saying just a minute ago it's a good offensive line second and six balls in the middle of the field trips to the field trips to the right this time back to back to pass this time he's looking for a fader that ball is dropped good good coverage cole beckman the intended target there up the sidelines scruggs you know we we talk about skilled players and pretty players and guys that do creative things that scruggs is a great player and he is talented and that was dynamite coverage almost a great catch though uh

042by number two but great coverage now you could argue it could not have been covered any better and they could not have been thrown any better credit to mr king for having him over top as well back to pass again and looking to the other side of the field downtown that ball there we go overthrown that's gonna bring out fourth down fourth and six i love this you know we talked about it earlier jamal it is a great stick he comes down from the safety position and he makes great plays he hits hard he stops the run game and we said that he had to keep his eyes open because he could potentially get beat deep over the top and we i think we saw that uh you know we saw the scrimmage or we

043saw it in week one um but he's clearly learned his lesson he's playing the safety position tonight as well as he can i think he's made some great run stops just defended the pass over the middle really well roncalli on to punt in their spread formation kicks away it's a fair catch by scruggs at a 31-yard line i love him dawson dawson's in there he uh he almost blocked that one now he's hustling back over the bench i think he's drinking out of like an old milk jug he's got his water like an old milk jug tonight which is the best way to do it they were like an old igloo you know the igloo that you brought to practice that was so big you couldn't even pick it up oh yeah yeah absolutely it's

044indestructible yeah dogs with the ball now ball rests on the 32 yard line first down trips to the left with the tight end no huffman tonight redmond is the back hammons gives to redmond he's got an inside zone he's got a good cut across the middle to the 45-yard line good good for 12 yards in the first down right now they're gonna they're gonna go quick with it here we go on the ball same formation no huddle same play this time he does not get as much about a gain of two no coach did we see a flag in the first quarter i did not believe we saw any flags in the first quarter by week week four it's nice to see the guys are playing a little bit cleaner second and eight ten minutes

045remain in the second quarter gave us redmond again he's got space to go swallowed up pretty quick not before he gets six more yards though yeah it makes a big difference in the game the speed of the game the flow of the game for both teams both teams benefit from you know no flags and it's uh it's good football to watch when there's you play flag free third and a tremendously long one yard i'd say third and four maybe third and three the scoreboard set for folks at home it says third and one so dr bozeman's just being funny scoreboard uh folks are helping a little bit that's his version of color combination it's my it's my attempt to be funny third and three ham's gonna keep it and he's still rumbling ahead he made

046it he may have gotten that he's the top kid it's gonna be close well let's ask the folks at home and they're gonna call this a fourth down fourth and two inches you want to question my ability to call it two inches you know i i'm looking i went down on one knee i looked down you and i are right in the perfect angle right now and it is dark on the paint it is darn close as i said i guess they don't measure anymore fourth down here we go offense on the field two by two formation ball rests on the 45 yard line eight minutes 45 seconds remain in the second quarter hammond's gonna keep it up the middle and he's got a good spot from this [Music] i don't know we've got two

047different spots here coach we've got one spot that's not favorable and one that is that's a first down that should be a first down it is a first day [Applause] that's a that's a tough position for an official coach because there was just uh seemed like 35 players in there at the same time roncalli's they were off the field they thought they had to turn that ball over hammond's back to pass he's looking now he's going to scramble looking downfield and he's got wow he's got really good patel connected all the way down to the 22 yard line for a first down oh there is somebody downfield that's a that's a man downfield that play took a long time to develop i might be wrong about that but i'm guessing it's somebody now i think

048that's exactly what it is oh it's a whole hole yeah just just as good the illegal man downfield turns into a hole either way we're coming back great route by patel i think uh you want to give him credit because he he ran a he ran a deep a deeper out there up the sideline and realized his quarterback was in trouble came back actually caught a nice pass but uh unfortunately he's coming back on a hold but that's exactly you know guys at home young guys at home wide receivers come back to your quarterback help him out find a spot and make a catch if you can you don't just stay downfield you might not be able to throw it 60 yards gave us to redmond here he's looking for running room on the outside

049he's across the 50. about a gain of four there whistle it down gonna be third in a whole bunch all right coach so think about this you know we talked about the cowbell last week that's a saturn at last kit right think about it for a minute gave mr redmond off the left-hand side you still looks like they're going to have third third or fourth it should be three yeah third down because we have the penalty third and three ball on the left hash balls on the 38 airline they gave us to redmond again he's got room to go and he's got a first down great run good run first down for the dogs redmond's going to take a breather and hustle off the field here balls on the 32-yard line seven minutes 10 seconds

050remain in the second quarter twins to the right tied in left for the dogs takes the loft hands back to pass he's looking good coverage downtown his head really good coverage so here's the question coach that's that's a will ferrell's kit with christopher walken it is who is the band that they are trying to impersonate oh that that's blue oyster colt yeah oh that's so good yeah that was good for you way to pay attention that way i i was i was a little nervous because for me to shift my mind thinking while calling a football game i wasn't sure how i would handle that if you slow pitch a trivia question like that then we're gonna be okay second and ten six fifty five remains in the second quarter two by two formation hammond's

051back to pass and maybe a face mask there no flag [Applause] it's a heck of an athletic play there by by luke hammonds we know we love wide receivers that block coach luke hammond's 59170 only a junior for the dogs that's good football right there first and 10 ball on the 15-yard line 645. clock has stopped since he ran out of bounds redmond back in the game in motion hammond's going to keep it looking to get back outside big tackle he's running hard coach that's a that's a gain of about six no big stop by sean brought the wood there that was that was a that was a good stiff tackle right there second and four the nine yard line there is room to obtain a first down here still six minutes ten seconds remain

052on the clock second quarter dogs lead 10 to seven cast letters come over something come something up they're gonna throw it to the corner and cast that or maybe two by two formation hammonds in the gun looking to pass still looking to his left scramble and he's down to the two should be a first down cast center that's great [Music] every single guy i love him oh certainly we got a bulldog down in the end zone i cannot make out the number i can't figure out who that is george as soon as we get a decent facility guy here to upgrade the lights to led then we'll have a better chance of making out those jersey numbers but as of as of this moment i cannot yet make out the jersey the way he was

053rolling though looked like it might have been a cramp yeah well we've seen we've seen a lot of that this year already cramping dehydration 555 remains on the clock here in the second quarter dogs lead 10 to 7. once we resume it'll be first down and two on the two [Music] that's uh that's blythe i think it's that twisted ankle maybe yeah it looks like a twisted ankle or a twisted knee i'd take back my comment about the the cramp but he is he is walking for the most part under his own power with with help from the trainer so that's that's a good sign yeah they'll wait for him to get all the outside the field of play here that's too bad a good start to the game here hopefully he's okay all right

054let's see if the dogs can get it in here north with a lot of momentum here a solid drive feels like uh it feels like the bulldogs have had the ball the entire quarter all right here we go first and two from the two ball in the right hash redman the split back he's gonna get the ball and he is barreling ahead that's a touchdown dogs really good blocking up front really good nice hole there big push up front go slap the helmets of the big guys i mean that's that's outstanding uh line play right there i made the comment earlier about the roncalli offensive line controlling the line of scrimmage but on this drive it was the the team in black controlling that line of scrimmage yeah they look good on that drive extra

055point is up and is good and just like that the dogs lead 17-7 5 45 remain here in the second quarter [Music] you [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] hey [Music] back here at max anders fields bulldogs leave 17-7 545 remain here in the first half card award back to kick special thanks again to our sponsors through off mortgage ovation technology columbus wealth joe lee rentals and development overhead door in south central indiana great kick carter's doing a nice job i know there's not very much breeze out there but he's definitely kicking that one into the into the wind so that one that's just kind of coming across maybe but it's still a great kick the ability the ability to get it down there after every touchdown really helpful a slight breeze has developed out of

056the north not enough to matter i would say but savion's in there coach savion back in the game first and ten for the rebels balls on the 20-yard line right in the middle of the field give it to hubler and he's gonna rumble ahead for a gain of four yards you're a big blue oyster cult fan coach it was it was a band i'd listen to i wouldn't say that i you know he went up rushed to the store you don't you don't have a concert t-shirt no i don't know no nor do i second five five eighteen remain here in the second second quarter first half jet motion then he's gonna give to jet sweep on the outside he's going to get outside this time tackle there's a tag on the sideline we miss

057we'll miss the early one there at the line of skirmish unfortunately close to a first down for the rebels we're gonna call it a first down good run [Music] good lesson for the younger ones watching or listening coach is attacking that outside shoulder when you're trying to keep containment as soon as you dip inside as you saw there you lose containment and they get outside and there's trouble yeah you know what what i've been noticing is they you know they're columbus [Music] the bulldogs aren't they're our senate they're sending their corners every so often and and uh you know when you send your corners on that if it's it's not a jet like that you're giving up contain and it does it does not help bulldogs got caught there with with uh 12 on the

058field and a credit you know credits at around cali guys just like we say about the wide receivers for columbus north i mean they're they're they are good blocking wide receivers um every time the balls snap each one on the inside runs these guys are out there blocking hard and uh if you get your corner five six yards off the ball it opens up the jet and you can run for 10 yards bulldogs got caught there substituting a couple of players and could not get off the field quickly enough so free play and free five for the rebels a little bit of discussion in the field i'm not sure what the nature is but it is a five yard penalty so it'll be first and five ball on the 45 yard line 432 remain here

059in the second quarter dogs lead 17-7 left there on the keep this time he's going to bounce it to the right yeah and he's going to get another big gain about 16 yards and not any containment on that right side of the of the field yeah they did the same thing they came out in that play and uh it looked like what's in the pistol there they ran that play in the first quarter not as successfully but they ran it for looked like about 14 yards there but they had run that from that formation before trips with the wing here ball on the right hash rests on the 43 yard line first and 10. quarterback's going to keep it on the same play on the right hand side and go for another 10. yeah the

060folks on the other sideline roncalli they picked up on something there they see something they like so they're going to run that play for a bit um it felt a little bit like the last set of dance they had they went away from there a little bit away from their script so now they i think they like what they see the pistol second and short and they'll pick up the first down three straight carries for the big guy their quarterback we uh we don't have the benefit of instant replay but there is a delay in the stream and and since i've got it on my computer here we we here in the booth do have a little bit of delay we can actually look back at these plays a little bit and what that uh

061what that z receiver is number 13 for roncalli he's just running that corner off on a pass route and clearing him out and then quarterbacks running right behind him [Music] well on the other side of the field we one of the corners just got pancaked so uh there's some blocking and they might be running them up but there's some blocking going on out there as well hard-hitting game [Music] left with the quarterback with another carry there this time a split back a modified wishbone you ever run wishbone coach in high school no no i we you know what we uh interesting we were my first two years in high school we were a power eye team i think everybody was a power rider i remember i remember the lion the detroit lions were uh doing

062a like a run and shoot barry sanders and herman moore and all these old timers right we're out there and my coach got the crazy idea of putting four guys out there wide outs on the field and we're actually pretty good uh passing football team another big gain there by roncalli that carry was by michael gallagher jr 192 junior for the rebels first down first and ten balls on the 13-yard line there's two minutes 20 seconds romaine both teams have all their timeouts left they're on the keep again to the outside that's a nice fill and stop by holt for the dogs or bring up second and about eight i think if you're roncalli and you get a touchdown here you're happy to go into the half down by three if if the bulldogs get

063a stop it'll feel like uh it'll feel like a 20-point game instead of a 10-point game they're letting a lot of time roll off second and eight ball on the 11 yard line this ball is to gallagher excuse me hubler again and he's across the middle for being about four to bring up third and two four coaches this is four down territory right i mean you gotta score a touchdown can't be run college i i would agree i think there's still no i think there's a high level of confidence in those those big boys in white up front gave us to hubler again he's rumbling across down close to first down probably going to be a first down i think you got it it is first down clock rolls one minute to go here in

064the half watch the quick pass i wouldn't be surprised give it to healer he's going to double back and score [Music] touchdown roncalli so so this kid's quick i mean he he hits a a guard or a tackle in the back and he bounces it five yards to the right as fast as anybody out there i mean this really really a good run to score the touchdown luke russell on a kick for the rebels [Music] low snap but it's handled well and kick is up and it is good and the scoreboard reads 17 to 14 50 seconds remain here in the first half dogs do have three timeouts in their pocket what does it mean to believe in something to truly support and get behind it to be committed and invested in making sure it

065succeeds and grows at first financial bank we go beyond banking providing resources for dreams that matter and giving back to projects that make a difference as our family grows our commitment to serve the community grows with it first financial bank because together we're better yeah better than it was depends what kind of jersey you have on there's no use on that stuff [Music] back here at max anders field 50 seconds from maine in the first half 5-0 less than a minute after the roncalli score scoreboard reads to 14 in favor of the dogs and we'll see how this gets played here russell up to kick it 50 seconds you can do a lot with 50 seconds two or three timeouts left and let's see squib kick here [Music] it's abram holt with the return gets

066it out about 31 yards the dogs will have it 47 seconds remain did a nice job of scooping that up if he doesn't catch that ball it's going to go another 15 or 20 yards end up in the five yard line range and over by the sideline really smart play first and ten balls on the right hash two by two formation for the dogs looking for a free one on a hard count they don't get it heyman's looking to the sideline now to get the play relayed in same formation he's thinking sideline i look down the middle of the field back to pass he's going to throw out the cast edder five yard out and that's what he gets the second to go and five yards clock stops second five 43 seconds remain in the

067first half same formation hammond's back to pass over through this time he's looking down the sideline for hayden mcdaniel but miscommunication on the route or what that was but it was over his head and out of bounds were bringing up third and five 39 seconds remain third and five 39 seconds two by two formation ham is going to sprint right this time looking for room still moving ahead he doesn't get out of bounds either clock's gonna run he's gonna be short of the first down and timeout is taken 29 seconds it looks like north took the time out there did you guys figure out number 69 for them he's not his name is he used to be 99. yes he used to be okay thanks you just changed 29 seconds remain here in the first

068half and that's one of those timeouts coach you gotta pause for a second and see who called it because it could have been could have been either either team in this situation yeah i mean if you're roncalli you're you're on the 40. you get a stop here you you potentially go down and tie this one up or maybe pull ahead so it's a tough call for columbus north i think they'd love to keep the ball here and go down and get some points but it would be a risky play what would you do i would i would punt this ball away and play it safe and take a lead into halftime but that's uh that's why i'm up here i'm not down there that's not what they're going to do they got the offense on

069the field here coach you got a couple of options though you you can go hard count you can do quick quick you can quick kick nobody back there right so there's a lot of things you can do here i do like the quick kick option i've not seen luke do that but i'm sure he could so yeah he's a talented king he's probably kicked it in the backyard a few times everybody's kicked in the backyard everybody's a kicker her punter but not everybody's a kicker opponent when you got 11 bad dudes coming downhill at you guys that are 6'5 and 280 in front of you they're going to give it to redmond he's going to break free across the 50 looking to get outside the 46th it's a first down bulldogs goal rest on the

07046 yard line chains will set clock will run as soon as the chains are set there we go dogs looking at some personality and they call it timeout it lost about eight seconds on that clock there after some personnel shifting you know when there were five at 23 seconds when they put the ball back in play there were five guys still moving and probably could have used the timeout right there at the 22 second mark that's a tough one for sure 15 seconds remain one time out left for the dogs 17 to 14s to score you definitely don't want to burn the time out there because you might need it here in another second or two well and typically you've uh you again i'm up here i'm not down there but typically you have the

071same personnel same formation or just a minor adjustment but it looked like they subbed and and maybe flipped flipped the formation as well and a lot of guys moving around a little bit unfortunate nonetheless it was our first miscue we've seen tonight actually from bulldogs it played a pretty clean game so far absolutely nonetheless it was a it was a gutsy call of fourth and one on their own side of the field and a tremendous pick up by redmond and and maybe uh just a a statement to the to the rebels to say we're going to bring it to you there we go first and ten hammonds back to pass looking now looking left looking for cass dinner that's a catch across the 20 brought down still on his feet down to the 15 15-yard

072line clock will stop for the chains dogs do have one timeout in their pocket we'll see what they do here they will use that they will use that timeout it's a wise move for sure if you have choices i think they're gonna kick it yeah they're gonna they're gonna do a smart thing here they're gonna kick one well i'd say the middle of the field was so open two plays ago and uh they must saw coaches up here in the box probably saw it and uh great play great i mean cass setter loves that play he's caught that ball at least 10 times this season hopefully they'll get three tremendous tremendous series of uh coaching there from the from the bulldog staff being able to march down the field against a really good team in

07350 seconds and potentially put points on the board after just uh four or five plays five seconds remain point seven on the clock seventeen fourteen dogs lead no timeouts remain first and ten although it won't matter they're gonna attempt the field goal here good kid really consistent this would be a 31 yarder and ironically his first one he hit was a 31 yarder so kicks away and it is outside to the right wide to the right no good that right there's a win for the roncalli team uh a bit too bad for carter still two seconds on the clock here plenty of leg in the first half the ball comes out to the 20-yard line where roncalli will take possession likely taking a knee here i would guess we'll see yeah hey special thanks again

074to ruff helm mortgage ovation technology solutions first financial bank columbus wealth jolie rentals and development and overhead door of south central indiana that'll do it for the first half 17-14 dogs lead they're gonna play ladies and gentlemen this is senior night and we'd like to take this opportunity to honor our senior football players [Applause] us [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] walking [Music] [Applause] [Music] lopez [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] is [Music] [Applause] is [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] is erica bates and prevents elite and patrick [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] and her parents ladies and gentlemen our senior football player managers and cheerleaders [Applause] my thank you i got two orders as with all activities season has been canceled by the state school music association so this year their performance schedule

076graduated from purdue university and decided that i wanted to come back here to serve my community with money and to help people understand that this stuff doesn't have to be complicated it doesn't have to be surrounded by mystery we understand that there is a importance that is placed on what a dollar does for you and so if i can help someone understand how to use a dollar to do more than one thing that's a pretty neat thing to be able to do and that's what i do every day i often hear that it's nice to just have a third voice in the room or maybe it's a second opinion right depending on who we're sitting down with and when in life you want to be centered on the client and that becomes a relationship we're

077able to sit down and help people on a macro or micro scale where i can get to know them understand more about who they are because just like how i had to learn all of these things at some point in time in my life i'm still learning every day i want to teach people those same concepts and so we do that by helping people analyze that full picture we're best used by planning and helping people understand how do you use insurance tools how do you use investments how do i look at this differently if i am a business owner or i work for the state or i work for a large corporation those are all different things that matter and different solutions come up in that picture so we want to help people best navigate

078that growing up in columbus i always found that one of the things we did really well here was to work together i think you see a community that supports itself that it revolves around the idea that not everybody is an expert at everything we're okay with that and that's what we're about at columbus wealth so if at all you're motivated to better understand how money works in your plan and what we might be able to do for you i'd suggest that you take a look at our website you can find us at www.columbuswealthinc.com find us on facebook at our columbus wealth inc facebook page we hope you get the chance to reach out to us and we'd be happy to talk to you with whatever those issues might be [Music] we're back max anders field

0791714 dogs lead at halftime another fantastic performance from the sound of north here recognizing the band seniors and the football seniors here at senior night two minutes to go here at half they may put three more minutes up because i don't see any teams yet we got a few minutes here coach what are your what are your thoughts heading into the second half well i mean i think if you're uh if you're the roncalli team you're probably pretty happy you didn't have the football very much in the second quarter and uh and you're in a three-point game i i don't think it didn't look like for a minute there in the second quarter didn't look like it was going to be a three-point game although it's going to be about a 10-point game maybe even

080a 14 or point game um so i think roncalli is probably feeling pretty good in the locker room right now they got some adjustments they can make i also think they've realized they can't they can actually run the football i mean they they didn't do well passing it at all they zero for two passing it um but they they do know how to run the football their line's pretty good and uh i think they'll come out and try to push the ball straight up the middle of the field in the second half and uh columbus north looks good uh also did i thought played a really good half of football i think they've missed out on a couple of opportunities there at the end uh but you know my guess is that columbus north is

081probably going to end up if they if their defensive line plays well in second half i think columbus will win this game by a touchdown or two running through some stat lines from the first half bulldogs had 12 first downs 22 rushes for 116 yards 112 passing yards 8 for 10 passing total yards 228 no fumbles no punts and two penalties totaling 15 yards roncalli on the other side of the field 11 first downs 29 carries for 153 yards no passing yards they had two attempts did not complete either early in the first quarter 153 total yards all on the ground one punt 31 yards and one penalty for five yards that's a little it's a little interesting in fact that they only threw it two times i mean they they were having success running

082the football give them give them credit for that but roncalli if they watch any previous tape i mean columbus north has actually given up some passing yards in their previous games and uh has has looked vulnerable at times in the in their past defense so it's surprising that they have only run the ball uh well with the exception of two plays they've run the ball straight basically straight up the middle uh all night so absolutely talk about balanced rushing attack for the dogs 11 carries for redmond 63 yards and one touchdown 11 carries for hammonds and 53 yards on the ground passing for hammond's eight for 10 112 yards one touchdown cast header the leading receiver four receptions 66 yards his long is 32. mcdaniel had that big touchdown cast catch one reception for mcdaniel

08335 yards on the other side of the field uh for for the rebels hubler no surprise leading rusher 75 yards on 15 carries one touchdown has long been 12 yards and as mentioned no completed passes for the roncalli rebels i thought i think the the two players that we thought were going to show up for roncalli and and play well the quarterback aiden their quarterback and and the hubler kid both have had really nice football games i mean they both rushed it really well um it looks like the quarterback leftler can actually throw so maybe we'll see him throw it a few more times in the second half uh it looks like he's pretty good arm certainly he's a strong kid so i mean we'll see more more throws but they were successful on the

084ground so [Music] make a quick mention of luke bless out their number 22. what's up starting linebacker for the for the bulldogs son of tim bless tim's tim's only son graduating senior special night for a special night for the bless family here i know there's a few blessed family members in the stands and several others watching online across the country so it's a talk about a football family with tim's dad and his history at you indy and tim's brother mark head coach at avon high school and his other brother scott the head coach of bloomington north uh that is that is what blessed family is all about so a special night for the blessed family and luke that's a lot that's a lot a lot of years of experience a lot of wins because they're

085all all very successful so yeah that's great yeah this could be a tremendous night for him you said it's a number 150 if uh bulldogs won yeah career win 150 on senior night for his for his only son so it'd be pretty special if that can could be a really gonna happen that way absolutely now we talked about the weather a little bit earlier and no rain inside but the wind is picking up a little bit and it's actually shifting a little bit out of the east now so we'll see if that turns into a factor here in a bit i don't think wind was a factor in carter's missed field goal at the end of the second quarter but he just pushed it a little bit yeah when you step outside the box we

086took a quick break and stepped outside the box it's actually a little bit breezier than than uh than what you'd expect um it's probably it's got to be born between five and eight miles an hour or something like that so it's enough to affect the football if you're kicking field goals at the end of the game or something like that or you're trying to kick one deep uh definitely has a little bit of an impact absolutely well here we go to start the second half dogs lead 17 to 14. my guess is going to kick this one in the end zone ball rests on the 40 yard line and carter's going to put a shoe behind it and see where we can get it to land kick is going to be received at about the

087three yard line brought out looking again the left hash and he's got some running room down to about the 28th that return from coverage the 175 senior for the rebels well let's see what happens roncalli certainly the kind of football team that would have won in the locker room and thought through things and come out with some good options here let's see if they mix it up a bit or stick with their strategy to just pound it uh straight at columbus north roncalli starts the ball first and 10 ball in the yard line just starting the second half here at columbus north high school ball in the left hash give it to the back he's going to bounce it quickly to the outside and that's a pick up about six yards that's more that's more

088like the first half right really good run king and scruggs on the tackle for the dogs early in the first half coach hubler he runs hard but he's quick too he has some speed for sure they go back to him again this time he's up the middle and bounces it to the outside and he's up to about the 46-yard line he's he's he's a super fast kid but he's really quick left to right he bounces so well no huddle for the rebels first and 10 balls on their 47 yard line right hash trips with the wing they give us to hubler again right up the middle same play he goes for four yeah if you're watching at home you're watching the line play it's it's not like uh the columbus north bulldogs are getting blown

089off the football i mean it's a it's a stalemate but hubler's doing a nice job of finding very small holes and gaps and getting through it that's what's going on it's not because the defensive line is getting blown off the ball quarterback lefler keeps it this time and close to first down looks like he might be a half a shoe short bring out third down and a short one and lefleur's under center he's just gonna bowl ahead for a first down i'd say every time he he molds ahead you think he's gonna get through three or four inches and he ends up with two or three yards absolutely strong kid yeah this this pace this this four or five yards straight ahead running will tire the defensive line out they need to get a stop

090left was going to keep it this time up the middle still rolling ahead safety is getting involved now that's a five yard gain for the for the rebels well fewer if you're wondering if they're going to come out and use the same script as that first drive they have stuck with their straight ahead running game and it is working for them i'm not sure why they would deviate split backs this time last time they ran it with lefleur and they will he will run the same play but he's going to give to the back this time he's really good behind the line of scrimmage that one they had [Music] luke bless on the tackle there for the dogs behind the line of scrimmage good stop that'll bring up third and three ball on the 34

091yard line yeah gave us the hubler he's going to bounce it to the outside and they're they're running this little they're pulling their their left on that play they're pulling their left guard their left guard if you watch this kid at the snap the roncalli left guard when when they run that ball in the middle is making a good block on the on the right edge uh on columbus north he is he is doing a nice job and that's why that ball keeps getting sprung out to the outside like that really good block that's the third of the fourth time he's done it i mentioned before mentioned before because of the delay we have a little bit of a chance to watch the uh replay in essence here from inside the booth and you're exactly

092right they're pulling that left guard he's getting up on the linebacker and that's trouble trips to the left here and lefleus is going to throw a bubble pass out to the flats and he is sprung loose across the 20 down at the 16 yard line that's a completion of kyle lockhart 511 junior for the rebels pretty good play call right there i mean if you're you know you're getting tired you're you're run run run i mean they're pounding the rocket the little flare bubble a little bit of a bubble pass out to the left is a nice play for uh roncalli there back to the regular formation here in the pistol and it looks like there's a false start bearer there by the z receiver for roncalli a little head start [Music] yeah that that

093hurts that's actually uh really helpful for columbus north i mean they're on their their heels a little bit a little bit tired probably in this drive and that five-year penalty is a big deal it hurts enough that that kid ended up on the sideline there's a jet sweep again oh just a great play mr king mr king comes from the strong safety spot there and it's a tfl a tfl tackle for a loss really really good play from a guy that's playing probably about eight yards off the football to start really good play bring up second 15. and luffy's going to boot out this way he's going to throw it again it's a completed nine yards to go third and nine bring up 39 from the 15-yard line 727 remains here in the third quarter

094big opportunity here for the dogs 2x2 formation for roncalli they go on a hard count north will not jump now looking to the sideline to get their play call play clock is at 10 seconds same formation left foot in the gun looking to pass still looking to pass and that's overthrown we'll bring up fourth down great cover looks like the field goal team is going to come on the field for roncalli and john john there's a reason i'm up here not down there but i just i can't help but to wonder you move the ball so well five six seven yards at a time and then they uh they start throwing the ball down here and the dog stop them and here we go we'll watch the kick but yeah five yard penalty stop your

095drive give the defense a second to rest it's never surprising the kick from russell is up and it is good so yeah you're five yards of carry you you you're rolling and and you get a mistake like that and it turns it you know what looks you know 10 yards looks a lot shorter than 15 yards [Music] [Applause] [Music] back here at max anders field 17-7 is where the scoreboard lands now 7 22 left in the third quarter roncalli tease the ball up on the 40 getting ready to kick it away why this back in the game blythe and scruggs back deep this one will go to blight that the 11 yard line is going to come right up the numbers looking to get outside and brought down the 27-yard line hey now this is

096great i mean i you know tyler looked like he was hurt badly he was he was limping they must have magical tape on that ankle down there i don't know what kind of tape they have but uh to have him back in the game after what looked like a probably a game ending injury great to see him good for you tyler the value of that crh sports medicine team that trips to the right here for the dogs hammonds runs outside still outside lane yeah he's got room to go he's across the road right down to 39 yard line so so coach were you a tape guy i mean like did you need to be taped up to play like you do that guy no no not at all not at all not even your fingers

097or anything like that no you're a two-finger tape guy not at all i i tape didn't make me comfortable i'm not a guy i don't know maybe we talk about offline but a lot of guys like tape to like tape that's my point no i wasn't i wasn't a on the bench at three o'clock in the afternoon getting taped until six no yeah what about like uh eye chopper that i black no i didn't do all that but you know what i did have i did have one of the uh one of the the screens one of the ipads like a pirate no no one of the the face shields yeah yeah i don't think they can use those anymore but yeah a couple years ago when i was in high school yeah we could

098wear one and you look like darth vader yeah i mean it's an intimidation factor yeah i got you i always said it was protect my eyes but that wasn't the case hammond's back-to-back he's gonna throw a mean bubble out here that is he just threw it too far jeff's off tomorrow trying to target mcdaniel and that bubble screen for it to work you know he's got to take another step two three three or four steps back and that ball's got to be thrown kind of a little bit deeper in the backfield he just threw it he almost threw it to two or three yards past the line of scrimmage that ball is really supposed to be thrown two two to three yards behind the lines for me third and ten now balls on the 37

0992x2 formation haman's in the gun looking scrambling now oh you flipped it to him yeah and trying to get the cast that's incomplete really close to a great play there boy again roncalli nice nice defense there i uh i really thought calling to start to come out and roll it up but uh good stop by roncalli carter ward on the field first first punt tonight first punt yep matter of fact i'd we have seen north punt this season but i don't have the stat in front of me but not very much three times i think maybe and he does it all he hits a boomer here it kicks back a little bit a little bit unfortunate i mean that's a that's a 50-yard kick and uh unfortunately gets the pounce to bounce backwards there on

100him about four yards five yards could have kicked forward nice ball and again you know we talked about it earlier in the game field positions you know really big deal especially when you play a team like roncalli that just wants to they really just want to run the ball at you when they have to run 80 yards versus 60 yards um it's the difference in touchdowns and field goals i mean that's what happened on the last track you know one penalty puts them in a position where they can't keep rushing the football and they're not in yet so they end up kicking a field goal it absolutely matters carter kicked that ball 15 yards over the head of the deepest receiver there for roncalli first and ten roncalli gives the ball to the middle that's

101a good stop in there by by the dogs we have not seen that much tonight really good tackle by oscarman ostermann and lofton in on the tackle there for the dogs the second and ten ball in the 22-yard line five minutes 33 seconds remain here in the third quarter we got him nice pass yeah nice completion across the far side of the field to the 42 kids got a good arm i mean that's a good he's rolling out to his left he's that's a tough throw he just made a tough throw i'd be surprised they don't keep trying a little bit throw it up throw it a little bit more i'd be surprised completion locker for the rebels and this is lockered in motion now on the jet side we're going to give it to

102hubler in the middle black bounces in there another good stop by the dog short game looks like maybe there's a face mask in there look at that little herky jerky one hubler went down i could be wrong about that but a herky jerky coach you see going back to hole to being a hold on bring it back good good eye i'm not sure i noticed the herky jerky out there so good i looked like he was you know you got a little head head bob there as the tackle happened ball moves back having a penalty back to the 30-yard line that's why i'm not familiar yeah 2x2 formation here for roncalli five minutes remain in the third quarter inside give us up the middle of the hubler and then now those defense alignment are changing

103the game here a little bit coach they're controlling the line of scrimmage he had 15 15 16 carries in the first half something like that he did 15. for 75 yards yeah he's already carried it six or seven times at least in the second so he's over 20 he's getting close to last week's total for carries i mean it will is it's great he looks like great athlete it will take a toll trips to the right here trips to the field and sprint to his right targeting that same receiver locker number five over his head and brings up third and 18. [Music] i mean it's a completely different offense when you have to play third and 18 or second 18 versus you know second and sixth second and five i mean a completely different game

104especially on a run first offense absolutely trips to the right same formation as last play here for the rebels and they're going to run a draw play he's got room to go big hit takes a shot there i'm not sure if that was jamal king on that delivery but that was a it was just a shoulder into the shoulder it was jamal king really really tough hit looks like the punt team's coming on the field here fun player to watch roncalli jamal king is a fun player to watch i will say he needs to keep his eyes open though he can't get behind you i love watching him hit i'd love to see him have a pink that's what i love i love jamal heaven that's what needs to happen today redmond back to receive

105the punt from roncalli that's going to be a short punt in the middle of the field and a columbus north bounce which is buried at the 36 yard it's a line place to start columbus north took the ball over the 36. not quite the my guess of how this second half would start here been a little bit different with the ball in the air from roncalli and north being stopped after one big game but we'll see how they do here trips to the right first and ten 336 left to go it's a screen out to cast editor and he gets an initial game great defense but he actually ran the play the way he was supposed to he's frustrated but uh that's the way you run a bubble screen you know you run it two

106yards fan line of scrimmage and he ran it right this ron kyle had a red from the get-go before a progress spot gets him a gain of maybe three call it two second and eight ball in the 38 right hash trips with the tight end to the field side for the dogs blitz coming from roncalli we're going to run an inside zone to redmond he's got room to go still going really great 10 yard run fantastic first down for the dogs ball on the 47 yard line no huddle you got to be happy for this kid he's out there getting the ball he's getting a bunch of touches uh you don't want to see other players not playing but uh when you get your chance it's always exciting so it's good for redmond two by

107two formation ribbon in motion this time they're gonna throw the bubble to him and he's got lane there's gonna be a hole that's a hole on the wide man it's got room to go that's a i don't know who's way over there there was a it looked like a good block but that that flag was way too close to him to not have uh that one be a hole that one looked like a hold on the wide out on the far right yeah it's one of those plays john as you know that everybody in the world can see you over there because you're so exposed and if you get your hands outside the frame and all it's going to be an automatic flag yeah the little guys at home you know learning how to block

108us i mean we love you that your block has a wide out you got to keep your hands inside once you start to fly outside it's going to look like a hold no matter what you do plus your corner's moving on you so as soon as he tunes it turns away from you turns into a hole if you're still holding it if you if you're grabbing them trips to the left here for the dogs hammond's going to sprint off to his left and really i mean close to a tackle for a loss from roncalli turns it into a four or five yard gain there that was a nice nice play by hammond they blitzed their corner from the far side of the field and uh hammond just ran away from it after the penalty second

109and 16 ball on the 42-yard line two minutes remain here in the third quarter 17-17 all square on the scoreboard ball in the left hash trips with the tight end for the dogs hands in the gun gives this to him he gives it to him excuse me he's bouncing outside he's gone down the sideline and he's gonna be tripped up at the 20-yard line that's a that is a gain of [Applause] 41. yeah big huge gain right what a great night for redmond this is outstanding abraham you know owen bolt for the roncalli team number four is a pretty quick kid who catches up with him i go right back to the well again inside zone this time he's gonna be stopped for no loss i mean if you're watching this at home watch the

110corners uh roncalli is sending their corners every time i mean if if they just threw a quick pass out there i mean to the wide i mean they're leaving the wide outs vacated i mean the three or four three or four different plays that corners that blitz this uh this drive certainly mixing up on their defensive call sheet here stop it to play to reset the play clock from the from the white hat here we go second and ten after no gain trips to the right for the dogs ball in the left hash all resting the 21 yard line blitzers again as you said coach hammons gets outside of him oh across the middle of the cast yeah yeah and i love it right i'm a defensive back i love dbs i love the way

111they play the game he's got his arm raptor maybe the linebacker there but he's got his arm wrapped around cassette or his hip in a place where he was taught to hold on to slow him down but i thought it was pretty obvious hold and then 70 yards away from the play didn't see the end of that play there coach but i don't know if if uh hammond's head his hand had hit a helmet but he seems to be favoring his left hand a little bit let's see if that turns into a problem they blitz again and he's got cast hitter downtown that's a touchdown [Applause] 22-yard strike from hammond's to cast etter it's right right down that seam rod down the hatch we have we have we've watched that play i think that's the

112we've watched that movie at least seven times it feels like we've seen it the same round as before the same round second verse same as the first i wonder if the other team actually gets a tape in the film i mean i can watch this on replay you gotta be able to see it right carter what's up p-a-t attempt is good and the dogs are 17. cass that are down the middle it's there [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] all of our student athletes please remember information and t-shirt sales are located at the main concession command please stop by tonight and sign up to take a part with you thank you very much for your support back here at max anders field 57 seconds remain in the third quarter dogs lead 24-17 after the hammonds to

113castetter strike in the end zone it's a good good drive put together there yeah by the bulldogs really nice really nice card award mr everything back to kick again that ball is going to be received at the two yard line from the rebels up the hash he's got room to go got more space to go across the 40-foot return down to the 47. yeah hold number three he was he was convinced when he caught that ball he was going to make up some ground so that's a good return i saw a replay of a commercial from i think it was the 90s converse commercial bird magic you know remember the two-tone converse sure i was a converse guy i never owned any any converse now what was your go-to brand i mean these kids now

114they're paying attention to you know under armour nike or whatever what were whatever is available i think i did it on one pair of jordans um that was a big deal for me but left keeps it here in the middle and goes nowhere uh we we had maybe they still do we have team shoes and basketball everybody has the same team shoe yeah and then after the season well then your basketball shoes become your street shoes yeah yeah so that was hot tops oh yeah heavy they weighed seven pounds each yeah oh yeah yeah you thick sold yeah yeah trips left trips left for roncalli here second nine we're gonna throw the bubble out there and actually pretty good for them they've run that play successfully now two or three times tonight they're not getting

115massive amounts of yards out of it but they're getting five or six every time they try it they were not able to engage jamal king in a block there so he made the tackle after a short game it'll be third and four we're gonna take a break here to go into the fourth quarter 24-17 that seemed fast looking for a new home well you might need a loan you know applying for a mortgage doesn't have to be so tedious or time consuming introducing loan butler by ruoff home mortgage loan butler makes it easy to apply for a mortgage online by compiling each of your important loan documents into one secure space just a clickity click and before you know it you're home delightful apply online today visit lonebutler.com [Music] um start of the fourth quarter

11624-17 dogs lead yeah yeah that's outstanding coach you were a high top guy i think we're all high top guys at one point weren't we well we had yeah we didn't have a choice remember that was moving ahead for a first down for roncalli there was a theory back then that was how you avoided sprained ankle right now all the guys are playing low tops again right if you're if you're any kind of real player yeah well they don't want seven pounds on each each foot either weight from the you don't want heavy shoes coach that was my demise the only reason i never got that division one basketball scholarship because my my shoes are too heavy i think yeah well it does impact your vertical [Applause] trips to the right here for roncalli first

117and ten ball in the 40-yard line 11 22 left to go in the game ruffler's dropping back he's going down the field this time the ball is up and it is caught oh that is i think that's tip and then caught it is caught as i said i've got the benefit of the delay on the computer i'm going to take a second look at that here as soon as it cues up but roncalli has the ball first and four now back to their touchdown back to the big guy i mean you know this is a football game folks i mean quick couple plays big play there up the sideline their quarterback this leveler kit is is no joke i think he's as good as many of the quarterbacks we've seen so far uh this season

118and we've seen a couple good ones um he can really float he can throw it control i'm surprised they don't throw it more uh according to the roster we have roncalli has two number 13s i'm going to assume that's john troxell the senior who made that catch on the sideline he just he just took it from charlie winnick charlie was in position he had the ball in his hands and from what i saw on the replay here yeah chocolate just took it from him in the air [Applause] [Music] back at max anders field 1109 remains in the game 24 to 24 after that roncalli score the game is all square special thanks again to ruoff mortgage of asian technology group first financial bank columbus wealth joe lee rentals and julie development overhead door of south

119central indiana for their generous sponsorships that enable us to be able to stream this game to your homes this evening because of our limited ticket capacities scruggs and blyth back deep they'll kick it to blythe again he receives at the three-yard line up the left hash looking for room he's got space he's got space oh my gosh he's tripped up by the kicker he is having a knight returning kicks coach has a heck of a return all the way down to the 40-yard line and goodness that's that's that's a great return a little frustrated because north had had blockers out there in front of him and somehow that kicker came through and just grabbed a shoelace and broke from there guys ready to block him too a little bit unfortunate there [Music] trips to the

120right here for the dogs ball on the 40 yard line give us to redmond in the middle he's going to power ahead for about three yards i tell you if you're if you're wrong you you line up to kick that ball you look at this at the at the roster and you say let's kick it to the sophomore because you don't want to kick it to scrubs right and i tell you i think boy blood probably has he probably got 100 yards of return he's had two big ones i mean he's got 100 yards of return yards tonight and we got a dog on the turf here yeah that's unfortunate that's uh looks like uh same thing we've been seeing maybe like a dehydration yeah treating as a cramp let's hope that's all it is

121i mean she's stretching it so my guess is that's what it is so while we wait coach since the injury doesn't look to be too significant hopefully it's not were you a parachute pants guy i mean did you have the pants with zippers um i i did i had one pear no what no they were they were jean they were blue jean blue material yeah i didn't wear them very long though i'm not sure if that fad burned out pretty quick yeah chicago chicago area northwest indiana like you had jeans with zippers yeah like long zippers all the way down yeah down the side yeah like yeah that's interesting but it didn't i don't recall that maybe i'm wrong somebody correct me i don't recall it sticking around very long redmond in motion here this

122time yeah excuse me that's lofton it was a i think it was a quick fad did it did it was it around longer in western michigan no it was a quick it was uh like a one pair and done kind of thing and you had how many pair one just one mine were black they were like uh made out of like uh whatever you know like like a polyester kind of yeah maybe we were all issued one pair we just don't remember how that worked like a military issue two by two formation third and seven ball in the 42 yard line for the dogs hammond's back to pass oh he's got him in the middle oh he's got a sideline he is going off to the sideline that's a completion [Applause] i think they just

123caught him in the wrong coverage there ron college dropped back into some kind of zone you got three guys sitting in the pockets and i think hammond's is a good enough quarterback he'll eat you up if you want to do that first intended for the dogs ball in the 42 gave it to lofton this time big pretty big hit there talked about number four a couple of times owen yeah only number four owen volk had a couple of nice plays earlier in the game ran red been down on the sideline at one point that was a good hit invoke a six foot 210 senior for the rebels playing yeah looks like a pretty stout kid rush defensive end that dog on the turf earlier was redmond he's over here on the sideline getting work it's

124a bubble pass to loft in the backfield and really swallowed up quickly yeah a lot lot does a nice job of catching that ball um probably two a little bit too hard to catch that ball that didn't do anything successful with it i think hammond's just kind of overthrew the ball a little bit threw it out in front of him too far and locked and kind of lost his footing a little bit too bad i think he had a little bit more room to run get caught in stride third and 12 here for the dogs 8 58 on the clock as it rolls ball on the right hash 44 yard line two by two formation hammond's back to pass again roncalli is gonna blink and he's gonna spin outside and he's got a connection made

125at the 27 yard line for another bulldogs first down [Applause] another completion of life he is healthy coach looking good i mean he had guests that are over the middle as well i mean you had a choice you could throw either one of them [Music] same formation two by two gun set for hammonds looking again going back to blyth on the out and having a good night another good news dylan redmond checking back into the game here yeah a couple of bumps and bruises here and there coach he's getting a workload that he's not used to so yeah he's having a great night and what a fun night for him huh i mean you don't you're playing behind an absolute stud in huffman and to get a whole game where you get to carry it's

126just awesome good for him i mean i think everybody in the stands wants to see huffman you know carrick probably carried every down but he's fun just a fun player to watch but the fact that redmond's out there tonight i mean even huffman's probably happy for him bubble pass completed to mcdaniel there from hammond's that's another first down for the dogs first and ten ball on the 16-yard line left hash trips to the right this time trips to the field for the dogs and redmond's going to get the ball [Applause] that's a that's a big stop by greg kirkman 511 180 senior for the rebels be second and ten yeah to your point coach it's it's a breath of fresh air confidence booster what have you for this bulldog team to have such a such

127an x factor as huffman go down but redmond just fill in and be able to not only compete but uh possibly win against a really strong roncalli game team [Music] yeah he had him wide open on the side there just over throws life hammond's on the sprint out just over the throws blythe bring up third and ten talk about it earlier this season that's that's one of those balls where you know the quarterback's out there and he's running out on the right wife is so open that he just throws it over right he's just excited yeah that's exactly what happened there third down 10 to go six minutes 50 seconds 650 remain on the clock ball's in the 16 yard line roncalli blitzing a corner again yeah they are bringing him down and ham is

128looking he's got oh that's too bad yeah cash center and it looks like patel and cass that are just getting in each other's way a little bit there and one knocks it out of the other's hands and that's too bad both just playing hard trying to make a play and end up in the same spot together and good players just got on top of each other a little bit there because it took a while for that play to develop and as we've talked about before when the play takes a long time to develop guys get into the wrong spots and so stuff like that happens field goal attempt up by here by carter ward is good this time that'll give the dogs the lead back 27-24 639 remains to be played here in the ball

129[Music] game [Music] what does it mean to believe in something to truly support and get behind it to be committed and invested in making sure it succeeds and grows at first financial bank we go beyond banking providing resources for dreams that matter and giving back to projects that make a difference as our family grows our commitment to serve the community grows with it first financial bank because together we're better i know when to expect it yeah i know when to expect it now but now it takes a minute it's a longer delay than it was before it's a whole it's a whole bunch back here at max anders field 639 remains in the game dogs lead 27-24 after the long drive by the bulldogs and the field goal from carter ward [Music] carter back to

130kick it off this ball is going to be received at about the five and he slips and falls on him [Applause] what a mistake there that ball is going to be down at the 5 yard line i think it's papandre just you know he slips he slips on it we talk about these lines all the time turf monster you know he just he just slips right that's the slick line the five yard line is the slickest one out here yeah i mean it's super the turf is fast down there it's it's uh it's unfortunate [Music] good break for the bulldogs there ron will start here with the ball their own five line and it puts them in a situation they now have to throw the ball [Music] two by two formation quarterback's gonna keep it

131up the middle he's got room to go he's all the way down to the 20-yard line for a gain of 15. leveler's just a he's just a a tough kid a big kid hard to bring down i think we got a injury down there and bulldog on a turf for a minute hopefully everybody's okay that'd be interesting interesting to see between some of these quarterbacks we've seen this year of course we we saw the kid from gibson southern who's committed to purdue and he's just has an absolute cannon but you know luke hammonds and and and this aiden leffler from roncalli both juniors different in how they play but both really good athletes and i i just can't imagine that they would not be contenders but they'll play at the next level hammond's trouble i

132think hammond is as athletic a kid as we've seen i think on the football field um his his trouble will be at the next level will be will he continue to play quarterback right so he he's capable to play at the next level the question is will he stay in the position he's in because he's going to be man at the end of the day we've seen kids every single week that are six two to six five and 220 pounds of 215 pounds and that's every single quarterback in college with the except maybe drew bree i mean breeze was the you know the odd guy purdue but a lot of these guys that are you know five ten to six foot tall that are great quarterbacks in high school they they can go have college

133careers they end up playing you know corner safety right get recruited as athletes exactly they can be recruited and as good behavioral i mean these are good kids right these are dynamite attitude kind of kids and they're the kind of kids you want on your football team absolutely nate osterman the injured bulldog is able to get off the field on his own power looks to be okay hopefully he can get back out there soon yeah it's just dings and dents you know these these these kids are big and they're moving fast so you're gonna get occasional bruise banged up guy and gonna come out for a player too first intent for roncalli oh and he's going to cut it loose down the sideline cuts back up to the middle and tripped up at the 40-yard

134line that's yeah mr king baron hubler again with a big carry mr king trips him up yeah jamal makes a good play there to save a safe touchdown and hubler is still really fast he does not seem to be tiring or slowing down here at all he's carried it 30 times and running as fast as he was at the beginning of the game first and 10 ball into 36. lefleur's going to keep it this time he's going to bounce it to the outside knocked out of bounds after a gain of eight there's there right back you know again it's a difference in field position and in just confidence right they immediately go back they get a big gain they go immediately back to straight ahead and running football right there from this point in i'd

135be really surprised how many times they they actually pass the football they get into this space and they can rush it from here on in we'll see the left is going to keep it again right up the middle all the way to safety's big hit at the safety level but not before he really picks up another 16 yards that's a big hit right there absolutely drops him there but you know don't celebrate too quickly that's another first down first and ten ball in the 17 five minutes and 10 seconds remain hard count not successful for roncalli they'll look to the sideline for a play back to the line of scrimmage trips with the wing here ball on the right hash 27-24 dogs lead gave us to the back he's going to be tripped up after

136a gain of two [Applause] roncalli football team's uh it's a good team a lot of history of success they play a tremendously strong schedule prepare themselves well for tournament time you always know what you're going to get when you play roncalli and that's a good solid football team that's well coached second and seven another hard count attempt well this game matters to them i mean not not only does it matter just to you know get get back on track winning football games if they haven't beat columbus north i don't think it'll last two or three games give it to the back again he looks inside busted to the outside spinning still in bounds brought down about the five yard line and that's enough for another rebel first down they're gonna have first and goal four

137minutes five seconds remain clock running three timeouts still for both the squads [Music] a couple of missed tackles there unfortunately clock still runs 10 seconds on the play clock 340 remains in the game clock five on the play clock hubler is the back again he's going to scamper in the end zone untouched this time they run that flag they've i mean i don't know how many times to run it it feels like they've run that play 20 times tonight [Music] they just they they're running essentially right up behind the guard and then bouncing it around the end and then just he's not getting touched for the first three yards well as we talked about before there were zero passes on that drive coach and they don't need to pass it yeah you get in that

138position you can rush for five to eight yards of carry you're not gonna throw it at all i found a level of success p-a-t kick is up and it is good and that makes the scoreboard read 31 for the rebels 27 for the dogs well we've been to this football if you grew up in columbus you grew up with ovation audio video the ovation technology group is much more the local leader in local i.t solutions 25 years of keeping companies connected and running efficiently networks and managed services phone systems and temperature control data security and hd thermal imaging grow smart with ovation technology group at ovationtg.com ovationtg.com a proud sponsor of columbus high school sports no we're not going there back at max andrews field 333 remains on the game clock find themselves behind again

139we were just having a conversation during the commercial break of the bulldogs have found themselves here before matter of fact every game aside from week one so we'll see if they can respond as they have previously kicks away this time is going to go to scruggs yeah it's a receiver at the 5 yard line and he is swallowed up he's down at the 19th he's trying to get himself to the left to get behind his blockers and roncalli had that covered well i think you you gotta kind of go away from blythe at some point you mean [Music] i think they thought they had an upper hand on it but he's had some great returns tonight who knows scruggs might have been surprised they even kicked it to him there dogs will start with the

140ball on their own 18 yard line first and ten three minutes 28 seconds remain two by two formation for the dogs red men in the back and that ball out here to patel on the bubble screen is dropped yeah hit him yeah the little guys you know patel's a great player that one hit him in the in the in the shoulder pads right in the plastic you catch it with your hands guys and won't bounce second 10 ball still on the 18 yard line 325 remains in the contest hammond's back to pass looking to cast that or this time he's up the field gets knocked out of bounds at the 29 and should be a first down for the [Applause] bulldogs yeah i like i like that last play nice for cass setter but you

141know what patel came right back there after the drop the drop ball the previous play and ran a really hard route that made made it easier for cass letter to be open there it was a great a great route that patel just ran trips to the left this time they're going to give it to redmond and he's tripped up he's a good player right there it's luke schwartz on the stop for the rebels gonna bring up the second and 11 ball in the 28 and we've got a looks like redmond might be on the turf again dealing with another cramp it seems hopefully that's all it is looks frustrated so you mentioned high tops earlier did you ever did you ever have a pair of adidas low cuts no laces you mean did i take

142the laces out right sure well who run dmc who is not but i never thought of myself as you know flashing a kind of guy to pull my laces out redmond able to get off the field under his own power but he started cramping as he was walking off again so we'll see if we're able to see him again yeah he'll come back out second and 11 ball in the 28 trips to the left for the dogs hammond's gonna sprint to his left looking to pass might be downfield coaches coaches by the way by the way coach cars are acting i'm going to guess that's one of his big boys he's a guy downfield what do you call that we call that disappointing yeah coach carr whose car is disappointed [Music] expressing his disappointment through

143his mask we'll back him up here yeah let's see scoreboard says second 16 i believe that is what it is so ball on the 23 yard line got to get half of it back right here you got to make it third and third 8 seven two by two formation ball in the middle of the field hammond's in the gun hammond's looking to pass still looking throws it out to the cast that are in the flat he's got room to go and as you said coach he picks up more than six or eight he's probably about a 10 yard gain maybe a little more bring up third and four i i don't know how i mean this is a good wide receiver cast center is a good wide out i don't know how that kid is

144that blanket cover i obviously every player just thinking the same thing i'm not sure how you don't spot him with the with the safety at all times trips to the right here for the dogs third and four ball and 35 two minutes remain in the game again hammond scrambling and looking still looking he's going to run it and he is tackle out of bounds folks in front of me think it was a little late that was on the other side of the three foot three yard whatever white line i mean they're just trying i think they did the right thing holding on to it by the way but it was definitely a lot of bounce i agree we don't want to make a game of it over flags i agree first down for the dogs

145155 on the clock one minute 55 seconds ball in the right hash first and 10 ball in the 43 2x2 formation hammons to pass looking for cass header again this time it's dropping that's too bad yeah it's too bad cass that have just dropped one there you're right though coach he is keegan is playing well and he is running very sharp routes tonight and you always talk about the younger guys watching at home but playing receivers not just running out their meal to catch the ball is running crisp sharp routes where you're running your receiver your corners off and making yourself available he's doing a great job with that tonight hammond's back to pass again looking looking still looking and looked a little too long that time [Applause] he might have gained a yard actually

146ran ran a little bit but i'm getting my yard on progress the clock will stop look like there's a timeout taken by the dogs 143 remains in the game dogs trail by four twenty seven thirty one two timeouts left third and eight balls on the 45 yard line what do you what do you like here coach i mean you're you're passing the ball well and you have not you know you're third and ninth third and eight whatever um i'd probably i mean they've been doing something down here on the right side of the field on the near side of the field cass setter and patel have been kind of running off of each other and i think i'd probably either you know have these guys run some kind of interference for each other throw it

147up the side the cast center or over the middle uh patel or i you know the last time they they ran a little drag route to cass letter he got that 10 yard gain the last time he he basically started right side of the field and ran kind of underneath the linebacker cover and he ran one linebacker into the other linebacker that's that's a good play for them as well he can drag they drag cassette across the field they might get that route again uh to spring open so they've got lots of options here in my opinion go get this first down third and eight one minute four to three seconds remain two by two formation for the dog as they go on a hard count and roncalli but they don't come across the line

148of scrimmage so we'll reset same formation he's going to run to the sideline get out of bounds short gain there will bring up fourth and seven wow are now in an interesting spot fourth and seven one minute 37 seconds on the clock two timeouts for the dogs i'll tell you that roncalli defense on the field that roncalli fan group over there all about 88 of them about as loud as i've heard them all night 2x2 formation for the dogs 137 on the clock hammond's back to pass and he's going to try to run a screen that's picked off by the rebels it's owen volk for roncalli who picks off sniffs out that bubble screen and picks it off that's staggering once had a pretty pretty good night he's had a couple of nice plays you

149know congratulations to him for making a good play there uh that's unfortunate for the bulldogs roncalli takes a takes the time out here 131 remain on the clock dogs do have two timeouts to be able to stop the clock coach we'll circle back here in a second but be ready to um share your offensive player your joe lee rental and development offensive player and your overhead door south central indiana defensive player of the game i'll circle back to here in just a second but i uh just a reminder we do have two middle school contests this week we have north side and central eighth grade play monday night and that's it east i believe it is and wednesday night the seventh graders play north side central i believe here that's here at max anders field

150north high school so always good to see the little guys out there they're not little by the way they're not there to see they're gonna see the young guys that's right yep and pretty soon sure enough they'll be out here and we'll be talking about them pretty good crop of uh seventh and eighth graders you know about i think you guys probably have 60 or 70 total maybe 80 and we have about the same it's about 100 north sides got about 70 between seventh and eighth combined yep a lot a lot of good kids wanting to play ball and that's stopped in the backfield by really great often big stop clock will stop timeout taken by the dogs 127 remains on the clock tackle there second and 12. all right coach you ready for your

151jolly rentals and development offensive player of the game yeah i mean you want one from both schools as i said last time it's you can do whatever you want there are no rules i mean i like the uh i like the kid the running back from uh roncalli the the hubler kid had an outstanding game they ran it all over the place and i think i give some credit too on the on the bulldog side i i really think redmond had a nice night we talk about cass center all the time but the fact that redmond gets to come in and play the game he got to play tonight that's you know great he did a nice job i don't know i think he's over 100 yards per game and really great to see him

152do that um defensively i think uh roncalli's number four you know owen volt i mean i think he just you know he just helped him they may not win this game but he put him in a pretty good position here [Applause] plays blown dead in the backfield due to uh lack of progress quarterback lefler with uh with the carry a little bit of frustrated maybe on the on the whistle but it was appropriate so last time out spent here by the dogs 121 remain one minute 21 seconds remaining to get the ball back with 40 seconds left on the defensive side for columbus north um it felt like we talked a lot about my my uh my guy mr king um a lot of good tackles played downhill had some good pass defense and and

153actually made a couple of big tackles open field tackles to save long plays from becoming touchdowns so really in my opinion he played a great game let's see what happens here special thanks again to rudolph mortgage ovation technology services first financial bank columbus wealth julie rentals julie development overhead door of south central indiana for their generous sponsorship of our of our stream tonight that's third and 14 balls on the 32 yard line one minute 21 seconds remain in the contest dogs trail by four dogs are also out of timeouts so barring a first down let me get the ball back that's a jet sweep and he is there's a flag there's a late flag over there stop the clock he was tackled tackled in bounds after a gain of about 12. we'll see what the

154tackle yeah okay we'll see what happens see what the call is i've not seen a preliminary call yet that's a face mask that's the end of the game that's a personal foul that's gonna expire the game that's too bad there's still 113 on the clock here roncalli at this point likely just to take a knee with a four point snap advantage maybe three probably two clock runs they will take their time and run this clock down and that is exactly what will happen 55 seconds remain on the clock as it runs down dogs out of timeouts that's too bad good football game columbus north will not have a contest next weekend they were originally to travel to ohio that game has been canceled due to restrictions in the state of ohio so no game for

155the dogs next week the next home game our next game will be a home game here against terre haute north at max anders field on september the 25th that'll do it here from columbus north final score 27 31 in favor of the rebels thanks again for joining us and we hope to see you here in a couple of host weeks [Music] you
