twenty nine sixty one tulip drive columbus indiana four seven two zero three thank you however i'm here as the president of the naacp 2969 you need that address [Laughter] getting from the community child comes down actually the african-american community what policies and procedures are we going to be in place so people will become a way to find if the situation arises for child understanding you do not want to create a panic what policies and procedures everyone's probably informed that way they can tell people where the situation in the acp we're looking we understand you do not answer those questions for them however we want to make sure that we are properly informed that way they can take a lot of speculation steps we're looking forward to answering those questions fine and then just plan it

from another standpoint we understand speculation staff is really rather directly from your before we were looking at some of the time online posts and then applications for another standpoint we understand [Music] i don't know if the job [Laughter] that want to help in the school system if there be a way or something which was the only person that signed up for public comment this evening thank you mr edwards dr roberts is there any uh any response uh in terms of the notification we talked about which was the only person that signed up for a public comment this evening it was an executive strategic planning meeting right and they're i think you and your team are going to look at a couple in terms of the [Music] so our responsibility is to uh so the process

that we've identified just in case [Music] symptoms of that positive um [Music] [Laughter] which is the family educational rights and privacy times based upon numbers of cases and also hipaa situations circumstances additional decisions situations circumstances where additional decisions have to be made thank you for your notifications and your suggestions just take your individual positive test cases that's the way we're walking through that all right forward on our agenda um board commendations and we have a specific one thank you for your questions your comments and your suggestions appreciate this yes we just made sure to uh bullet point this under its name foreign this is as the school year began so we had this month a representative from the september uh last wednesday mornings he that they are aware of is getting pictures taken so congratulations

to laurie an outstanding teacher for us many of you know thanks so much and the great job that she's done in our school corporation so just want to make sure that you're aware of that i don't think that's been in the newspaper yet anybody help me out with that remembering so yes so anything coming it will be a nice article about uh lori and the work she's done she teaches first grade for us congratulations thank you you are all right just school board member reports any anything from any of the board members to report to see our committees have been uh playing low with uh distancing so uh we're going to do it just for more just from an efficiency standpoint really this time schedule some of the information shared tonight will be also shared

at that one so in case somebody misses dr boswitch's presentation we'll talk about a few additional things but basically catching us up performing from the end of the summer is thursday morning at eight o'clock thank you let me put that like i forgot to change the screen no other school board member reports we have cabinet reports take us through the teacher performance evaluation face mask let me put that like i forgot to change the screen so there it is lori and dr hacking myself supporting her lincoln shirt and i think it's even a lincoln facemask august 15th of each school year and it just discusses the results of chemistry caldwell um as we do every year this is an annual expectation needs to be done by august 15th each school year and it just discusses

the results of the entire year since we could show you evaluations of certified staff um this year is kind of interesting last year per the governor's executive order we had a couple of options we could choose from so two uh we're done and we share our evaluation scores the first option was eleventh and you couldn't take our normal evaluation scores but we had to stop where our school year ended option so in conjunction with cea we chose option two uh we had 82 options of our teachers choose to use the previous year's scores um that also kind of indeed the only exception to doing that is if you were a first year teacher you could bring there you would not have had a prior year score so we had 77 in the first year scores

that also could have included anybody first year maybe to bc it was their choice so you see but they could bring their prior year score to us and we would use it get their final evaluation teachers that could have an option just to get a rescore and that was their choice so you see the breakouts of how our teachers chose to change get their final evaluation score here in these in these um columns as you can imagine with 82 percent choosing used to be one of our carrier sports and we can change that increase and you can see that here in these in these um pbis continues to be one of our top areas and we still continue to see an increase in the udl over the years so nothing much changed here i think

the biggest area that changed the next slide dr roberts was academic citizenship doctor shed usually was 3.49 in 19 3.47 unfortunately the 73 did not provide changes for information for us this year so that's last year's uh chart shedd usually likes to see this chart unfortunately the state of indiana did not provide this information for us this year so that's last year's chart supplies that yes okay we i hope we get that before this gears up but we'll see as you'll see and most veterans this is years of experience that's the state department of education that supplies that okay from the prior year we have years of experience uh citizenship as you'll see most veteran teachers receive the highest scores i want you to point out again that's a carryover from the prior year we

had one exception there in academic citizenship for our 11 to 20 years and 30 teachers what i want you to point out is the count in each of those boxes so okay first through fifth year we're almost 300 into this information 30 plus years that number is dwindling 32 experience for the staff was 14 years last year it was 13.54 so that kind of hangs into this information just general information year which um our average years of experience with the staff wasn't a whole lot of 14 years last year it was 13.54 um we hired 41 certified staff to have a zero year which experience is down dramatically from past years was it a whole lot of movement in the state of teachers because of those 41 19 years just have zero or one year

experience um they did hire a new veteran staff in that 41 years of experience [Music] so that number continues to increase staff satisfaction retention rate with only 41 teachers was 93 percent advisor felt like the year before
