Okay, >> we're all ready. I'm gonna We're going to stand for the pledge of allegiance. If we can all stand for the pledge of allegiance. The flag is up here. I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> We have no public comments for this portion. Um, we can open the public meeting on the tentative collective bargaining agreement at 4:49P. Uh, [clears throat] Mr. Morgan will provide an overview of the tenative agreement. >> All right. So, tonight we're bringing forward a tenative agreement that both the school board and the CNA worked hard on. U, it was not something that came together overnight and it took a lot of conversation and problem solving

on on both sides. So, in the agreement, we're going to be raising our starting teacher salary to $45,000, uh, which was a state requirement of schools. We're also adding a literacy endorsement differentiation, which keeps us compliant with state laws. Um, the association then used the money that was left um to help close some of the salary gaps that have been created over the years. um $56,825.91 will be added to base salaries um which is a meaning investment in our teachers. Teachers will also now have the flexibility to use their annual and sick days as they choose. Uh that matters because it shows trust and respect for adults who show up every day for our kids. So this contract isn't perfect. no contract ever is, but we feel that it's fair and responsible and keeps us

competitive and it honors the work that happens in our classrooms. So, I've given the board um a draft copy [clears throat] that once it becomes live, we can then post to our website. So, any of the changes that were made or highlighted which CNA will help us work on. So, [clears throat] that is that. Okay. Anything else? That part of the meeting is closed at 4:51 p.m. The ratification meeting will be held in special session Monday, November 10th at 5:00 pm at the Junior Senior High Testing Center. Any superintendent comments? >> Yep. Actually, I have something I'd like to read. So over the past decade, I've had the privilege of serving with students, staff, and families of Central Community Schools. In that time, I've met countless amazing students, parents, and community members who care deeply

about our kids and our schools. There have been good times and bad, and through it all, I've been blessed to work alongside some of the some truly dedicated people who love this community as much as I do. The friendships and relationships I've made here will stay with me for the rest of my life. As I reflected on these nearly 10 years, I've also had to acknowledge the other side of this experience. There are people within the corporation and community who have made it incredibly difficult to move forward and make changes needed to ensure our schools continue to grow and succeed. Instead of choosing to be part of solutions, some have chosen chosen to spread false information, criticize staff members, and scrutinize every decision made. They fueled gas up twisted facts about budgets, purchases, and staffing,

and hidden behind anonymous emails or public access requests, all under the name of concerned citizens. I'm going to be honest. It's not about concern. It's about stirring up trouble, tearing people down, and creating division. And it's hurting our corporations. I fear this behavior will continue to drive good people who care deeply about our kids and drive them away, can no longer take criticism, constant attacks, and the mental strain that comes with it. It's time for good people of the community, those who truly care about our schools, to step up and defend them publicly, online, and everyday conversations. Silence only helps those who are tearing others down. To the members of the board, I want to thank you for always putting students first, regardless of what some might say or believe. You faced impossible decisions, and

you've done so with courage and integrity, always putting kids first. To the administrative team, you're overworked, underpaid, and yet you continue to show up with a smile, wearing more hats than most administrators anywhere. You do it because you love the kids, even though you know you'll be criticized by people who don't understand half of what you do. You're a back backbone of our corporation. To our teachers and support staff, thank you. You too are severely overworked and underpaid, but you continue to give everything you have to your students. I see the incredible amount of good you do for kids every single day, often when no one's watching. You deserve to be paid more. I'm sorry we couldn't get a referendum passed to give you raises you've earned and deserve. I tried, but again, some in

the community don't value the work you do or understand the sacrifices you make. Please know that I see you. I appreciate you, and I'm proud of the work that you've done. To my family, thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your love. You've endured the late endured the late night emails, the angry texts, the phone calls at all hours, the public encounters, and hurtful comments. You've watched me carry the weight of the job, often at the expense of our own time together. I'm sorry for letting that happen. My heart has always been to put kids first, but now it's time for me to put you first. It's time for someone else to take the seat and carry the burden of his job. To the board in front of each of you is my letter

of resignation effective December 5th, 2025. I hope the next person who sits here comes with grit, determination, and a thick skin because they're going to need it. I hope you find someone willing to coach without pay, mow the grass, paint the fields, and drive a mini bus when needed, because that's what this job has required. This corporation deserves good leadership, and the kids deserve every ounce of energy and care we can give them. I just hope you can find someone who can stay long enough to make a difference. Thank you. I have to admit that's a little bit of a gut punch to watch the hard labor that uh Robbie [laughter] has put in to our students and our school. It's going to be a big hole to fill. Thanks, Robbie. [snorts] Any other comments

from the board? >> Yeah, I just want the community in general to recognize what Robbie just said. um things that are going on in this community are driving good people away from this this school corporation. And it's not because of what's being done in the building or at this table. It's because what's being spread around town. It's because of the crappy attitudes we're getting from people outside of our corporation about the things we're trying to do. And it's making it very hard to be part of all this that Robbie's leaving. We had a our SRO chief leave and all for what? >> Transportation director. >> I just think some things are going to have to change before this community gets any better. >> [clears throat] >> This meeting is adjourned at 4:56 p.m. We'll need

about five minutes to get
