Heat. Hey, Heat. Heat. Heat. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. All right. Good evening. I'd like to call this meeting to order. Recognize we have all of our members present uh this evening. If you would please stand with me as we say the pledge of allegiance. I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisibley and justice for all. We've all had a chance to look over the agenda for this evening. So, I need a motion and a second to approve tonight's agenda. >> I'll make a motion to approve tonight's agenda. Second. I have a motion and a second. All in favor? I. None opposed. Um, we don't have anybody signed up for public comment tonight, but I'm going to

go ahead and read the public comment guidelines. Uh, Indiana statute requires public comments be awarded to all regular session board school board meetings. The purpose of the public forum is to give members of the public the opportunity to address the school board on any matter regarding education and the administration of our schools in this setting. We as board members are not compelled to answer questions or respond to you and typically will not engage in back and forth dialogue in this venue. However, this board and the superintendent will note your contact information for response if appropriate. As always, we invite you to contact any of us by phone or email for followup. Individuals wishing to speak must have signed in prior to the meeting and return the completed speaker sheet to the superintendent or treasurer five

minutes prior to the start of the meeting. Individuals shall address only the board president and will have three minutes for their statements. More than three individuals wishing to speak about the same topic shall be given time to collaborate to determine one representing individual and shall be given 10 minutes for statements. The board president may at any time prohibit statements as stated by the posted public comment rules. The total a lot of time for public comments is 30 minutes and individuals will present on a first come first- serve basis until all audited time is accounted for. First section for public comment is for items on the agenda. There's a time near the end of the of the meeting for general comments. At this time, uh there's nobody signed up for public comment this evening. So we

will move on to uh consent agenda. Uh and this consent agenda includes review and approval of minutes. Um review and approval of claim dockets, review and approval of fundraisers, review and approval of donations, review and approval of field trips, review and approval of uh personnel report. And these are all documents that uh are open to the public that you guys can get on and see uh before we even have these meetings what are what these uh different things that we're going to be approving are here. So uh I need a motion and a second to approve the consent agenda. >> I'll make a motion to approve the consent agenda. I'll second. >> I have a motion and a second. Any questions about any items on our consent agenda for this evening? All right. So, I

have a motion to second. All in favor? I. >> None opposed. Old business. Second reading and approval of policies uh 2221 uh through 57 71. This is second reading. I can get a motion, a second to approve these policies. I'll make a motion to approve the policies. >> Second. >> I have a motion to second. Any questions about any of these policy changes and approval? >> All in favor for approving these policies. >> I none opposed. All right. new business review and approval of the 2026 budget which we went over last month um on all those numbers and nothing has changed since since a month ago. So we need a motion and a second to approve the 2026 budget. >> Motion to approve the 2026 budget. A second. I have a motion and a second

to approve the budget. Any questions on that? No questions. All in favor? >> I. None opposed. Review and approval of capital projects plan. And this is basically uh something be required to do to have a capital projects plan um of things that we want to accomplish. We're not these aren't things that are set in stone, but it gives us a a plan to work with. Uh it's anywhere from things that have already been done like painting at elementary school uh up as big as some hback um projects that we have we're going to be need to do here in the next few years. So um but it's said it's it's not a it's not a project of plan written in stone. It's just kind of a guideline of things that we want to uh look

at. So, I need a review and approval of the capital projects plan. >> I'll make a motion to approve the capital projects plan. >> I'll second. >> I have a motion, a second. Any questions on that? No questions. All in favor? >> I oppose. Next item, review and approval of the bus replacement plan. Uh this is kind of the same uh situation. We have to have by law a bus replacement plan in place. Uh kind of goes over the buses we currently have, the ones that are going to be going obsolete because of a certain date and and kind of our plan on on replacement and how we want to spend the money on those buses uh in the future. So I need a motion and a second to approve of approval of the bus

replacement plan. I'll make a motion to approve school bus replacement plan. >> I'll second. >> I have a motion, a second. Any questions? No questions. All in favor? >> I I none opposed. Review and approval of the 2026 uh budget uh resolution. I want to read that here. says, "Whereas the board of school trustees of the governing body of the Covington Community School Corporation, Fountain and Warren County, Indiana, and whereas the assumptions, projections, and calculations used to prepare the budget and establish tax levies and rates for advertisement may vary from those on the 1782 notice. Whereas the board of school trustees wishes to impose the most appropriate tax rate on the patrons of the Coington Community School Corporation to ensure appropriate levies to fund the school budget. Therefore, be it resolved that the board of

school trustees grants appropriate authority to Miss Holly McGee, superintendent to make any necessary adjustments to the projections, assumptions, and balances used in the creation of the 2026 budget or on the 1782 notice or any changes made will be reported back to the school to the board of school trustees along with the certified budget figures and it has today's date on it. we choose to approve this. So, I need a motion and a second. Basically, this gives Holly the authority to change some things that if needed to be changed and report back to us what those changes are. So, I need a motion and a second to approve that budget resolution. I'll make a motion to approve the 2026 budget resolution. I'll second. Have a motion and second. Any questions on it at all? Questions? All

in favor? I I none opposed. Moving on to review and approval of the 2026 transfer resolution. Um and we do this every year. Basically, we have to approve to be able to transfer funds from education, our education fund over to our operating fund. And it says for this next uh school year a total anticipated maximum amount to be transferred is uh 1,ion50,000 dollars. That'll be in usually equal increments uh per month. So we that'll be in our that that comes in our claims each month as we approve those. So I need a motion and a second to approve the transfer resolution. >> Approve the transfer resolution. I'll second. I have a motion to second. Any questions on that? No questions. All in favor? >> I uh none opposed. Next item is review and approval of

new ECA funds elementary um and the and those funds are animal science club, which will be $200 a session up to six sessions per year. Kindness Club 101, $200 a session up to six sessions per year. And Gardening Club as well, $200 a session up to six sessions uh per year. So, I need a motion and a second to uh move those new ECA funds for elementary school. >> I'll make a motion to approve the ECA funds for second. I have a motion and second. Any questions? No questions. All in favor? >> I I uh none opposed. Next item is review and approval to replace a veil with Grayson Clayton as an authorized signer at Fountain Trust Company for Coington Community School Corporation accounts. Reason why this is need is because Toma is moving and

uh and we need somebody to replace her on authorized signer list. So I need a motion and a second to approve Grayson at that person. I'll make a motion to approve Grayson. Second have motion second. Any questions? No questions. All in favor? >> I uh none opposed. Uh this is a section where we would allow general public comments if anybody had signed up. Nobody has done that this evening. Uh moving on to administrative reports. Um Vicki, you have anything? >> Um basically last meeting Mayor Crane came and talked about the utilities and I given each of you a copy. our utilities they've gone up um 14,000 from the amount in July to the amount in October and it's and then I also have both years so this year and then last year >> so basically

just to give information uh the mayor came in last month and said they replaced what they call a transformer unit or whatever it's a big unit sits behind the the kitchen. Um, when they replaced that, they discovered I think it's got maybe three or four different meters in there. One of those meters had been put in backwards or upside down, and we don't know how long ago that happened. So, it wasn't we were basically getting power for free if if you want to put it that way. So, he he warned us that our power bill may go up and went up almost $14,000 in in a month. So yeah, switch it back. >> Yeah. So that's a that's a big concern. So I mean it's that's a lot of money and you figure that out

over the course of 12 months. So it's it's >> Yeah. >> Anything else for us Vicki? No. >> All right. Uh how about uh either one of you guys have anything board operations or >> Looks like everything's going pretty good on mine. >> A couple of updates. Obviously, we got the elementary painted. Um I had I had scheduled the uh commons duro floor to be re uh fixed over fall break, but then realized that I had to schedule that during volleyball section. So, we've moved that. They're going to come over Thanksgiving break now instead. So, taken care of. Then they just finished pressure washing the white around the high school and then they'll be starting Wednesday to repaint that and repaint the letter high school. >> I know that school looks great. It it looks

good. >> They're also going to do the doors on the middle school. >> Good deal. >> All right. You have anything boards? >> I do not. >> Any board comments this evening? I do want to just congratulate the girls soccer team for the first ever sectional win. I not seal win but sectional crown. So it's it's exciting that new program that we that we approved I'm not sure how many years ago it was now. Five years ago. Five years ago and we won our first session. That's a little bit unheard of. So it's we're we're excited. They play Thursday night at Lapel uh High School. I think what time 5 6 o'clock. So, >> I was telling Mr. Tommy, those girls are like the epitome of what Trojan pride is. Like they are constantly encouraging

each other on the field and it just it's such a a positive experience to watch them. So, I'm very proud. >> Yeah, we're excited. I know our boys our boys soccer ended as well last week, so they didn't get to go on, but uh like to thank Tyler Martin for being our coach for for those years. I assume he's moving on. So, so, uh, hopefully we can get that posted and get get somebody in that spot and keep going. So, anybody have any comments? All right. Upcoming dates, uh, our November meeting. So, the date of that, do you know the date of that? >> It is November >> November 10th. November 10th be our next scheduled uh board meeting. And right now I need a motion second for adjournment. >> I'll make a motion to

adjourn. >> I'll second. >> I have a motion and second to adjurnn. All in favor? >> Meeting is adjourned.
