002proposed and I will be recommending that we only accept alternate number four which is actually deduction of $27,000 which would bring the total bid package to 3,8 2,452 take any questions so looking through the alternate um especially number one you can add a same seam that has a longer life shingle for 56,000 is that something that we should take into consideration um I think those things are in consideration but if you look that by the time you add in soft cost and other cost we are $33,000 on toward the I'm not going to say over but we are into contingency money so we have no wiggle ring at this point in time now there are items you know that that one would probably would not be one this round that we look at obviously alternate
003number two to have the board desk and those type of things that you know having a nice new boardroom would would be wonderful to have that hopefully as as project goes and it goes smoothly contingency funds that are built in aren't needed then we can ship some of those types of things but you're correct yeah the metal roof would give a longer life but at this point in time I couldn't recommend that we accept that alternate so in the package on the shingles are we getting like a 20e shingle 30 year 40 year shingle you prefer the shinging um I yes it it will match more to the shingle that is on the athletic building that is out there but obviously our high school has metal and it's kind of there but I don't have
004that information on the year um I did speak with Monty last night uh Monty had questions on some on the bid process um and so for example you know he had asked about a bidder that if you looked at the base bid they were number two but if you took the base bid and number and the alternate that their package was lower in the bid process it's on the base bid um so that's why we were going there um in work through that we do have to take the lowest bid um Kettle hat then has to confirm with them um and you know we're still working through with one of the bid packages for basically the lumber package Windows um so the amount that we are approving here is actually the amount that was submitted
005by the second highest or second lowest bid to make sure that if we don't get everything agreed upon in the low bidder then the amount approved is okay um and so that's just that you know the bid we received didn't have enough information to make sure that all the specs are met that were set out by the architect we're working through that process but I believe as of this morning everything is good on that so do we have a timeline for uh ground breaking last date I was given be by the end of March so um the completion date is 12 months is there any any other discussion if you're worried about having the shortfall we do have a pot of money available to us to be able to cover that so I wouldn't let
