001for Deli Community School Corporation. One of the first questions that I was asked was, "Have I tried the chicken and noodles in Canada?" [laughter] All about what about the pizza? The stories of the homemade meals have traveled far and wide in this area. Yes, they are all true. And Irene Kyle is the person that makes the magic happen in the kitchen. If you are in the building when she made apple crisp, I would highly recommend trying that. [applause] >> I see Mr. Brian. >> It is hard to imagine someone who approaches this job more seriously than Brian. He is a reliable, detail-oriented, proactive professional who ensures that Camden is a safe, clean, and functional environment for learning to take place. With a strong work ethic and abundance of initiative, Brian looks after the building as

002if it is and also finds small moments to interact with students. Everyone loves Mr. Bre. [applause] [snorts] >> [clears throat] [snorts] >> Okay, everyone. Up to this point, [laughter] we have tried to be succinct with our comments. However, knowing how much Shel likes to be the center of attention, we might have to draw this out. [laughter] here to begin to tell you about Shelby. She does everything from reading with students to capturing leprechauns. [snorts] When someone calls or visits Camden, she is the first person to greet them. And we couldn't have found a better person for this role. [snorts] Shelley has been fundamental in the creation of a family life culture at Camden. She shows up early, she stays late, she laughs at all of my bad jokes, even when they're about her. [laughter] THANK

003YOU, >> [applause] >> GO AHEAD AND TAKE A picture for us. Do that too. [snorts] [laughter] >> Yeah. Kind of wrapped up. Guess >> Come on over, guys. Come on over here. >> [laughter] >> I try, [laughter] [cough and clears throat] [laughter] >> Brian. And I can't see you. [laughter] >> One, two, three. One, two, three. One more. Smile. Thank you. >> Thank you. All of you here. >> [laughter] >> Next, we're going to recognize students [clears throat] and we will start with Kenley Christian from Stephanie's class. Come up. [laughter] Mrs. uh Rush reports, "Kinley always comes in with a smile on her face. She is very a very joyful child that can make anyone smile. She is also ready to learn and try new things even when things are hard. She loves to make

004new friends and always plays well with every classmate. Kenley is very respectful to all. She is a very good helper. Kenley is always willing to help out when needed. Good job. [applause] >> All right. Next we have Lily Floyd. >> [laughter] >> Lily is eager to help where needed. She consistently has a smile on her face and greets the students as they come into the room for me. Lily works hard at her station work, isn't afraid to ask for help if needed, and is willing to help others. Lily Lily does well with her weekly job, and enjoys doing it. STRONGLY. [applause] >> NEXT, we'll invite up Ryan Wallace. [snorts] Ryan is a kindergartener in Mrs. Leer's class. And Mrs. Leer reports, "Ryan is a leader in our classroom. He is aware of what is happening

005around him and when he notices a way to be helpful, he starts the task without being asked. He is respectful to adults and his classmates. He also tries to do his best on his schoolwork and he pushes himself to improve. Ryan is a boy who leads by example, doing what is right [snorts] and encouraging others to do so, too. Good job, Ryan. [applause] Next we have Adrien Miller. [clears throat] >> [snorts] >> Mrs. Miller says that Zadrien is a nice little boy. He comes to school with a smile and seems so happy to be learning new things. He is not afraid to try something new, even if it is a bit difficult. He shares ideas during lessons and class discussions. Zadrian is respectful to others, classmates, and adults. He helps to make our classroom a

006peaceful, calming environment. I expect a success successful future for Xrian by the way he handles situations he is experiencing in kindergarten. Nice job. [applause] Next, we will invite up Brady Far. Grady is in Miss Powen's class. Miss Powen reports, "Grady is a positive role model for my students. He is my calendar helper and is able to ask students all the calendar questions without any help. This is awesome because when I need a substitute and I tell the sub, he can run it by himself." >> [laughter] >> Grady is well respected with his peers, which is great because there are several boys this year that need someone to be an example for them. Grady also tries to better himself with his learning. He listens to the teacher's feedback and then he is able to show that

007honest work and do all that is asked of Good job. [applause] >> All right, we're at this time we're going to take another picture. So come on over. [clears throat] [clears throat] [laughter] Ready? [laughter] [snorts] Big smiles. One, two, three. Big. One more. Big smiles. Thank you. [laughter] [clears throat] >> All right. [laughter] Thank you to Mr. Hog and Mr. Carlson Center for uh working on that and all the teachers, staff, students, everybody involved in that. Um I will say a couple weeks ago, the board officers and Dr. Moore and I, we went over to Camden. We did have lunch. Uh we had turkey, turkey and noodles, not chicken, but turkeys, and it was right before Thanksgiving. Um what a what an atmosphere over there. Uh, everyone is just thrilled to be doing what they're

008doing over there. Um, as well as we witnessed the pretty much tear down at Thanksgiving and the start of Christmas almost in an afternoon while we were there. So, um, what a what a good working group over there. I just I don't know that everybody notices that because um, some of us don't even have kids over there, but a welloiled machine over there, but they definitely um, love the support from everyone. So, I just thank you to all them. So um at this time um I will say some have already exited but if you were here for recognition and you don't want to be here for the whole meeting you are welcome to scoot now. Um at that point we'll uh we're going to reconvene the meeting here and uh keep moving on. [clears throat]

009Okay. Um, next on the agenda, um, I'd like to get a motion for, uh, number five, consent items. Uh, consent items A through Q, uh, including the minutes for the no November 10th, 2025 board meeting, the November 10th public hearing. Also, the monthly and payroll claims. Uh, 5D, the approval of monthly financial report as submitted by the treasurer. Uh we have a couple recommendations, resignations, as well as a facility usage and a fundraiser all included in there. Um so I'd like to get a motion for consent items 5A through Q as presented. Mr. >> President, I move we approve items A through Q as presented. >> Second. >> All right. Uh any discussion? Okay. Hearing none. Um, all in favor of consent items 5A through Q as presented, say I. >> I. >> Opposed. Okay.

010Motion carries. All right. Uh, number seven, school presentation. Um, [clears throat] do you have more, Mr. Hawk? >> There is more. >> All right. Uh, Mr. Hawk, and you're welcome to take the podium. >> I'll Mr. Owen has kind of alluded to that Camden is a very very special place um and we want to share more about it and we've asked some people from Camden if um and speak today. [snorts] [clears throat] So, we were asked to put together a presentation about Camden, and we have two goals as we share our slideshow with you tonight. We want you to hear about these special events that our prek and kindergarten students experience during the first semester of each school year. And we hope you will notice the unique aspects of Camden that make it an appealing

011place to teach our youngest students. All right, first days of school. Car riders and families are greeted at the front door for the first few days of school and escorted into the building by their teachers. Cafeteria. The eating space along the edge of the gym is a large inviting area to eat breakfast and lunch. Staff members can easily monitor and help the students. Mr. Brian and Miss Wartz keep the area clean and safe for everyone. clothes closet. Besides academics, Camden meets the most basic needs of comfort for our littles. For the lunchroom spills, bathroom mishaps, and coats with broken zippers, the office has a large selection of pants, shirts, and coats for students to borrow as needed. Playground. Camden students enjoy the benefits of a large shaded playground. Bus ride. A bus ride makes that

012special trip to CECC to drop off and pick up the students. Teaching staff is there to greet them and say goodbye each day. Is this still me? Apple Week. Kindergarten and prek students have gone to Mccclure's apple orchard for several years to pick apples, learn about the importance of bees, and enjoy apple cookies and cider. Library time. Pam Mineer comes every other week to read a story to the students at Camden. Reading to Miss Shelley. Students look forward to showing off their reading skills to Miss Shelly and anyone else at the office. Her prizes, candy, and stickers are great motivators for our youngest readers. Read to Misty. As the kindergarten students begin learning site words and reading skills, Mrs. Chastain brings her dog Misty to school each week to listen as the children read. Fire

013Safety Week. [snorts] The Camden Fire Department rolls in with lights and sirens for the fire drill during Fire Safety Week. The students get to see the trucks up close and hear about the fire escape plans from Chief Keith Black. Pumpkin Week. Kindergarten and preK students finish their study of pumpkins by going to Deli High School for activities led by the A department. This includes a hay ride, picking their pumpkin, listening to pumpkin stories, and eating a snack prepared by the family and consumer sciences class. Costume parade at Camden. The students enjoy a costume parade before Halloween. Everyone walks through the classrooms and the gym looking at all the different ways to dress up for Halloween. High school band. The high school band performs at Camden and allows the students to touch the instruments and ask

014questions. Inside recess, all students can go to the gym for recess when they can't be outside. This allows them to run and get their wiggles out in the morning and at the end of the day. For lunch recess, they go into Mrs. Chastain's or Miss Tori's rooms to play with recess toys. Thanksgiving week Camden Pilgrims, Indians, and Turkeys enjoy a Thanksgiving feast prepared by Irene Pile and Diane Works. After the meal, the classes exchange necklaces that the students made. Christmas puzzles. Each year, a local business donate small puzzles for each student to take home at Christmas time. Gingerbread Week. The school building becomes a giant treasure hunt as the students follow clues to find the missing gingerbread man. Students get so excited as they search the gym, cafeteria, nurse's office, and front office, finally ending

015in their classrooms to decorate their cookies. Polar Express pajamas, popcorn, and the Polar Express movie are a fun day. This day includes a visit from Santa and his elves, who give each student their own Christmas bill. [laughter] Christmas program. Teachers provide breakfast in the classrooms before the students gift exchange and classroom party. In the afternoon, families come to watch the kindergarten and prelay prek classes sing Christmas carols on the stage. So, thank you for letting us share what we love about teaching at Camden Early Childhood Center. >> Thank you. [applause] >> [snorts] [clears throat] >> All right. Uh, thank you, Mr. Hawk, and everyone from Camden. Um, just a just a little glimpse there of all the extras that go on over there. So, thank you very much. Okay. Uh, moving forward, uh, the athletics

016report. Mr. Dale is at a wrestling match. So, um, we did get the report. Were there any questions or did you have anything to add on the athletics report? >> Okay. >> I did get a report on Chip from Fountain Central. He helped them with their uh wrestling meet last weekend from Delrest before. >> Oh, wow. any way to go check for helping another school corporation out. >> All right. Okay. Um, we also have the superintendence report, Dr. Moore. >> Thank you. Well, I can't believe that we are at the halfway point of the school year. So, I just want to take a minute to uh reflect on the great work uh that's happening across our school district. our students are continuing to learn, grow, and succeed um because of our dedicated teachers, staff, and

017our families. I mean, every day I see our commitment, resilience, care in our classrooms. I mean, as demonstrated through the presentation we just saw. Um but not only in classrooms, um on our buses, in our cafeteria, just throughout our entire community. So, I feel our first half of the year has been filled with progress. you know, I look for progress versus perfection. Um, and we've been making progress, I feel, academically, socially, and looking at long-term planning for the future of our schools. And I have been engaging in strategic planning for many months now. And it's really been a joy meeting with staff across the district and just excited um to take uh their thoughts and ideas as well as the information I've gathered through our surveys and our focus groups and our listening sessions and

018just excited to present you know a draft of our strategic plan here in the second semester. outside of strategic planning, also looking at uh facility improvements, uh student support, staffing, safety, um and of course financial stewardship across our district. And I know we have some new business um that we're going to be talking about in a minute. And at this time, I would like to um ask uh performance services um who are here with us tonight to speak about um that part of strategic planning. And I have here Martin Sams from performance services. >> Well, good evening. Uh, first off, I want to thank uh, Dr. Moore and and you all the board for considering us performance services for your design build work and hearing that term design build kind of want to talk a

019little bit about what that means and what that is. So, as a design builder, um, it's a delivery method for school improvement projects. And we as the design builder um if we're selected to be your partner through that process. So uh what we'll do is lead the process from design on the architecture side which is myself and Jordan Jones who's here with me but also performance services owns manages that project all the way through the construction process. So it's a one contract solution for you the school. Um once we get approved bids, we're the sole point of contact and we guarantee no change orders from that point on. So it really allows school and administration to focus on what you do best and let us take on the construction project. So, what we do um

020if selected as your design builder is we will complete the design documents, which we're already hard at work on today, and get those out to a pool of uh qualified biders that um our group has has already kind of prevetted as as qualified high performing contractors here in this area. Um we also get input from you all. If there are local uh companies or corporations that you want doing your work, we invite them to bid as well. Um so at the end of that process bidding process, we will come back um with what's called a step one report. It's part of the design build process. That report will include all the designs as well as all of our bid numbers that we receive. So at that point in time, we'll open the book, share the

021bid pricing that we got with you all. um go over selection. If there's uh others that you want to we always pre-select the the low bids, but if there's local vendors that you want to work with, we we honor that as well. So, at that point, uh we'll come back to you with that step one report that includes pricing. Um and then if you approve that, we move into step two, which is really construction on the project. And yeah, we lead that process again from start to finish with a no change order guarantee. So that's just a little bit about what we do and uh really thank you all for the opportunity to to pursue work with you. Thank you. >> Okay. Thank you. Anything else? Okay. All right. Uh after those reports, I'd like

022to move forward to new business. Um, I'd like to get a motion uh to discuss the resolution authorizing the continued use of design build public works project method for the 2025 2026 progressive design build project >> still. [snorts] >> Okay. So, um in this document here uh this is basically the resolution. Um we have three sections in here. Uh section one being uh the board hereby authorizes the continue use of the design build method for the project as set forth in Indiana code 5-30. Section two is the board expresses authorizes expressly authorizes the school corporation to issue a request for proposal to the potential design build performance services and for the design criteria developer to produce the design criteria package. Then we also have section three. Upon receiving a proposal for from performance services incorporated

023and after following the processes in Indiana code 5-30-7, the school corporation may at it sole discretion either accept or reject the proposal received or negotiate final terms and conditions of the agreement in accordance with NEA code 5-30-7. Uh Dr. more. Do you have any more input on this? >> Yep. And I just want to add that this resolution isn't approving anything related to construction cost or a final contract. Um, this is just allowing us to move forward with the next phase of planning and proposal development as Mr. Sams, you know, spoke about [clears throat] and also this ensures I mean transparency for the public, legal compliance, um, and of course fiscal responsibility as we're looking at long-term facility planning uh, for our district. So, do we have any questions or comments on this? >> What's

024what's the cost to us on the contract? Is it per building project? Is it a flat set fee? And terms of it, I assume it's yearly or by project. So, this is the resolution, the letter of intent. The next item actually goes over some of that information. >> Okay. >> Any other questions or comments? >> So, I I do need some clarification. So, on on this organization, the design build, who actually does the evaluation then of who gets the the contract? I understand performance services here as they've already received this piece of it. Who did that? >> That's a good question. That was approved during um a previous board meeting. That would be the Rollins group. Dan Rollins went through their qualifications. Um and so that's the group that we approved to pay to go

025through this process to determine who would be qualified. >> Did we have other biders as well then that applied for that? >> This was the only um bid that was submitted. >> And how did that get publicized? It was publicized for the public. >> In what way though is my question? >> It was it was posted in the uh comment. >> Just in the comments. >> Yeah. >> And that's what Mr. Rollins he legally you have to do that all the legal stops. Yep. >> Yep. >> Any other questions? Okay. Uh, all in favor of 9A, the resolution authorizing the continued use of the design build public works projects method for the 2026 2026, excuse me, 2025 to 2026 progressive design build project. Say I >> opposed. [snorts] >> All right, motion carries. Okay. Uh,

0269B. Now, I'd like to get a motion to discuss the letter of intent to enter into Progressive a Progressive Design Build contract. >> Second. >> Okay. Dr. Moore. >> So, this letter of intent would authorize our school district to officially begin step one of this progressive design build process. And this is for district-wide facility projects. Um this as you inquired about um Mr. Schwarzikoff it was um fixed fee of $110,000 which then is applied toward the project. Um so that is the cost for step one services as part of the process. Um we as a school district and chaired by myself would work closely with performance services throughout the planning phase. Once the step one report is completed, it would be presented publicly to the board and at that time we would have the option

027to we could move forward with construction, we could request modifications or we could discontinue the project. So again, this this letter of intent just as the resolution does not approve construction, does not commit us to future [clears throat] building costs. It just authorizes the planning and design phase only. And again, just wanting to be transparent, provide public input, and be, of course, responsible with financial decision- making. >> This does include um basically previous discussion of all of the items that we've been looking to repair and update at Camden, Deli Elementary, Delphi Middle School, and Deli High School, as well as the uh corporation office um included in that as well. Thank you. I just wanted to for the public record because I know a lot of them do not get to see this. So I

028just wanted to make sure and fully transparent. >> Sure. >> Appreciate that. >> Does anybody have any additional comments or questions? >> Okay. Uh, all in favor of new business number 9B, the letter of intent to enter into a progressive design build contract, say I. >> I. >> Opposed. >> All right. Motion carries. Uh 9C. I'd like to get a motion to discuss uh Eme 3, Inc. uh E3 district safety app. >> So move. >> Second. >> Dr. Moore. So, I'm recommending that the board approve [snorts] um us moving forward with E3, it's emergent 3, as our district-wide safety communication app to replace our hardwired panic buttons. Our current system is not reliable, doesn't provide real-time information, does not support a coordinated emergency response. So, this is this allows for two-way communication, um, real-time situational

029awareness, staff accountability. There's roll call, um, and access across all district devices. Um, not just in an active threat, but also things for, uh, medical, weather, and other emergencies. The annual cost of $6,000. Uh, there's no cost for setup, training, or mapping of our buildings. Um, I have met with our local law enforcement as well as emergency services. Chief Mullins and Mike Fincher are in support um of this app. Um, and I've also shared the information with Sheriff Ligot. And so after reviewing multiple options and I've worked closely with Josh Long, our school safety specialist, we do feel this best meets our needs for improving response time, communication, and overall school safeties. So for that reason, I strongly recommend we move forward with this app. >> Any questions or comments on that? So on this

030uh no panic buttons and they're all going to be so we're going to have um I won't put functionable devices along the walls or that have cameras that can see also I know they're out there uh talking some other schools and other states. Is that what we'll be doing with this here? We're going to move away from anything hardwired that would be accessible physically and everything would move to on your phone or on your laptop, any type of device. Okay, it would be all through. So, it' be immediate response. So, if I click a button, it would immediately communicate with our emergency um local emergency response teams. >> Okay. So they won't be cameras or will they be able to access our current cameras because in certain cases that probably would be a vital part

031of maybe rendering situations. >> Sure. And we right now that's a great question is our I'm working closely with our director of technology to talk about how this system which would we make sure that it integrates with um all of our camera um software. And so that is a conversation we're having right now. we are allowed to give access to local law enforcement. So if they were in need of accessing a particular camera in a particular situation as well as the maps that would be accessible through this app um again to provide you know really uh quick response time in the event of an emergency versus trying to connect with someone explain everything I mean this is real time immediate um you know information is provided. >> Thank you. Anything else? Okay. All right. All

032in favor of 9C, the Emergent 3, Inc. E3 district safety app as presented, say I. >> I opposed. >> All right. Motion carries. Okay. Uh 9D. I'd like to get a motion to discuss Steeple Nicholas and Company Incorporated. So moved. >> Second. Dr. Moore. >> I'm recommending that the board approve the use of steeple for budget and financial planning consultant consulting services moving forward in place of Baker Tilly. Um STEL will support our school district through the 20 2026 2027 calendar year to assist with budget planning, cash flow analysis. um really for both the end of calendar year 2025 and 2026. So looking for them to be um an ongoing resource for us for instructional and operation budget discussions. Um Andrea Miller and I have met with Stiffl to discuss uh the options that they

033can provide to us. Um we are very excited to partner with them. They will also attend board meetings as needed to support uh the work that we do. that this will be for a flat fee of $12,000. That does not include um I'm sorry, let me rephrase that. There are no additional costs for travel for attending board meetings. That is the fee >> for one year. That is correct. >> I just don't think Andrew is job here. [laughter] [clears throat] >> That's important to me. you're on board. >> And you've had experience with this company, right, at some previous employment? >> Yes. Um I feel very strongly that SEAFOL is [snorts] worth every cent in looking at the past but planning for the future. Um I think that's really important. But I also want to

034add that, you know, ICE Miller, we would still be working with ICE Miller. I do want to share that. um because they would be still assisting us with all of our bond disclosures. So that is a piece um that we would be continuing to work with them and I feel that team ice miller and steeple is a strong team. >> You said this replace Baker. This does replace some things we already have. Correct. >> That's correct. At I would share openly at a significant discount. >> And where are they out of again? Um, technically their main office, Andrea, is in Missouri. They have several, >> but they have in Indiana. >> Correct. Local offices in Indianapolis. That's primarily where they travel from. >> Okay. [snorts] >> Anything else? >> Okay. Uh, all in favor of

0359D using Steeple Nicholas and Company Incorporated, say I. >> I. I. >> Opposed. All right, motion carries. All right, 9E. I'd like to get a motion to discuss match point. [snorts] >> So move. >> Second. >> Dr. Moore, >> I'm recommending that we move forward with a strategic marketing rebranding partnership to help tell our story of who we are. Um, this work will refresh our brand, improve our digital presence. I know something we have, you know, talked about a lot. Um, continue to highlight the great things happening in our schools and I feel like this work would be really meaningful because this work would be done by a Deli graduate. Um, so I feel like we're really investing in our community but you know also uh capturing the spirit of what it means to be

036a Merkel. >> Any questions? >> Is that a one-year agreement? So this is um like a comprehensive package to get everything set up so we have a foundation to work from and then um from there the goal would be to create opportunities for our students to continue carrying on the work that has been started. >> Okay. Thank you. >> So basically this company comes in and really really shows off who you are in a in a new way in a better way. Um really shows how to market yourself. [snorts] uh that's what they they specialize in is marketing yourself. Um and the b the big benefit that I think is important on this is the students will get that opportunity to carry on. This is just to get the ball rolling and then it it

037gets the it gets the ball rolling for the kids to start getting involved and and doing this marketing for us. So things such as like taglines, um website refresh, social media, you know, across the district and all platforms for all schools. Um so just it's ve really comprehensive that, you know, typically in in most places would require, you know, to employ a whole full-time person. And so we're going to get this all established and then again um have our students continue um carrying this on which is what um the person who would be leading this is very passionate about and is excited to to create that opportunity for our students. >> Any other questions or comments? >> I I just have one question. It's probably in the in the weeds, but I see there's like

038talk a couple of times of three, one per school. Are we are we calling Camden and Deli Elementary one school? Do we know or will we have content I guess at both? >> So technically the state of Indiana recognizes Deli Community Elementary School, Encampment Early Childhood Center as one school. >> One school. >> That is how it's coded. >> Okay. >> So that is why it's written that way. >> Got it. Mhm. And I did explain that to this person. Not that they we I feel like Mr. Hawk and Mrs. Carlson, we do recognize them as separate entities, but technically they are one. >> Yeah. Okay. That's very the content will be at both, I guess. >> Correct. >> You're promoting both. >> Correct. >> Thanks. >> Anything else? [snorts] >> Okay. Uh, all in

039favor of 9E using match point say I. >> I. >> Opposed. All right. Motion carries. >> Okay. 9F. I'd like to get a motion to discuss ban storage lockers. Recommendation for Sharp School Services Incorporated. >> So move. >> Second. >> Dr. Mark. >> So Mr. Mr. Long has been working closely with Mr. Dennis to obtain uh quotes from different companies on the best way in which to um replace our current band room lockers. And so they obtained, as you'll see in the information you received, there are three vendor quotes. Sharp School Services, Lee Company, WB Manufacturing based on the work Mr. long [snorts] recommends and I also agree with him that uh to approve the proposal from Sharp School Services um that provides both the demolition and installation that is a company that we uh

040regularly work with for many um items related to furniture improvements. Um, and so we feel confident in that quote. That quote total cost is $41,87945. And again, that's for everything. >> Is that paid out of one of the bonds? >> Yes, it is. That would be what I'm proposing. >> Any other questions or comments? Okay. All in favor of 9F the van storage lockers purchase with the recommendation of Sharp School Services Incorporated say I. >> I opposed. All right. Motion carries. All right. 9G. I'd like to get a motion to discuss Ice Miller Legal Council. [clears throat] >> Second. Dr. This is uh for the services that were provided from Ice Miller, our legal council for our general obligation bonds of 2025. So this is for the work that they provided. >> Uh any questions

041or comments? >> Is that for a month or how long? Can I say how long is it for? That is for the entire >> Okay. All right. All in favor of 9G Ice Miller Legal Council say I >> opposed. [snorts] All right. Motion carries. All right. The moment we've all been waiting for. Uh, I'd like to get a motion to discuss the 9H the first reading of Miola policies. Uh, there's one, two, three, four, six, 12, 14 of them. >> So, [cough and clears throat] [snorts] [laughter] no, we don't want to. If you hadn't, Stephanie, >> I did. I said it. >> Dr. more. The stage is yours. >> And anti-harassment. It's a replacement policy. This policy updates and consolidates our employee non-discrimination, equal employment opportunity, and anti-harassment protections to ensure full legal compliance and

042clear reporting expectations. Policy 1422.02, non-discrimination based on genetic information of the employee. Rescend. This policy is being rescended because its protections are now fully included within the updated updated comprehensive non-discrimination policy. Any questions about 1422 or 1422.02. Okay. Moving on to policy 1662, anti-harassment rescend. This policy is being rescended because anti-harassment protections are now addressed within broader updated non-discrimination policies. Think I kind of covered them all? >> Yep. >> Okay. So, there is no vote on these. This is the first reading. Um, so once again, typically

045these policies are either being rescended because there's too many policies on the same thing or minor adjustments. Um, so you've seen all those that we've presented tonight. Um, moving forward out of there, you'll see you'll see those policies again next month. Um, number 10, donations and thank yous. Uh, Dr. Moore, we have a couple there. Would you like to talk about those? >> Yes. Kyle Christensen, Christensen Trucking Company donated gingerbread cookies for the kindergarten students at Hamden and Dela Community Elementary School. So, thank you to them. Came in with monetary donation for all prek and kindergarten students at Camden and Dela Community Elementary School for the Christmas Student Gift Exchange Program. So, thank you to her. And of course, we have now Living Faith Church of the Breven Women's Fellowship monetary donation to the Angel

046Fund. So, thank you to them as well. Very generous. >> Yes. [clears throat] >> All right. It's always awesome to hear those donations that we get. Okay. future dates. Uh, winter break, uh, that's coming up here. December 22nd through January 5th of the new year. It's hard to believe we're talking about the new year already. Uh, January 12th, that will be our regular board meeting uh, here in the DCMS Abby and Liby Memorial Library. January 12th. Um, anybody else have a future date they'd like to add to the calendar? Okay. >> All right. So, all right. Moving forward to uh board comments. Uh Mr. Schwarzoff. >> Okay. Uh congratulations to the staff and the students for uh their Camden. I know they're welld deserved, but um they're also a pretty unique group of of people.

047know that especially our with her chicken noodles over the last 30 some years I've been able to have some. Um Dr. Moore, thank you for everything you've put together. It seems like it's a rush, but we also understand you do your work very diligently and thoughtfulness and you think it out and we appreciate that part. Um donations again from community. Uh thank you. Uh, I only have one left. Um, I'll leave the Christmas stuff to everybody else, but um, Ava Mills, congratulations to her for being Ivy's Tech Girl athlete of the of the week. The November 10th through the 15th, I think was it. So, um, I got to talk to her the other day, but, uh, I think it needs to be recognized on all our students, no matter where they're at, whether it's

048athletics, where it's band. I know our band and solomables and stuff like that really are are there and whenever that is there I think we need to as we know bring them forward. So again congratulations mom >> and as a freshman. >> Yes. >> It's got it's got people talking so you know the community is excited about girls basketball and this freshman girl. I thought that was really cool and I said I know her >> nil money from you. So >> yeah. Yeah. We'll [laughter] we'll start looking for that that funding that you're going to need. Uh uh great comment. Um I just want to thank all the Camden staff that was here and the presentations. It's always fun to see the students, but uh uh really that that's delightful and to see the presentation

049of all the great things going on at Camden. Uh we don't get to see that school very often. So that's really great to see that and a reminder of of what a great school it is. Uh I just want to wish everybody a very merry Christmas. Thank you to the staff, the students, our teachers, everybody that's a part of this corporation. We have a lot of really good stuff going on this time of year. Our students are active and they're involved in a lot of great things. And so I just want to wish everybody merry Christmas and a reminder to to get out there and celebrate the season with family and friends. >> Speaking of Athletica of the week there, she just shows in. >> Wow. Good timing. >> Congratulations for the entrance. >> Thank

050you. [laughter] Thank you. Now she's never coming back. >> Hey, I just like to echo what my two fellow board members thank all the staff [snorts] over at Camden. It's pretty unique situation over there. Dr. Moore, I want to thank you for all your hard work that you've been putting in. I you give us that weekly calendar that you've been doing. I don't know how there's I think there's only 24 hours in a day, but it seems like you uh seem to put a few more in than that. And I'd like to thank uh Jacob Murkovitz for his time here at Deli. Uh he gave us six decent years of uh teaching and football. And I want to let you know that's been appreciated. And uh I wish everyone a merry Christmas and uh we'll

051see you [snorts] next year. This smells >> Yeah, I my comments were going to be focused on Camden, too. I did have the privilege to go on that tour recently, and I don't know that I had been to Camden before. Uh, and I think to to be there to hear what they talked about today and be able to put that um with a personal experience and a tour. It really is a special place. It's a good spot. So, um, appreciate them coming and and giving a presentation. And I think if you just listen to them tell that story, you could easily tell they are kindergarten teachers. Um, but I appreciate that. I I appreciate everything you're doing. I'm so excited about, you know, kind of where we're going. I know we have approved a lot

052of things in the last couple of months, but I think it'll all be tangible and and visible to what we have set forth as goals and and where we want to go. So, I'm excited about that and and what that brings. Appreciate it. >> Mr. priest. >> Well, it's hard to believe we're about halfway done the school year already, but semester is going to be over here in a couple weeks, which means that students are going to be taking their finals. It's a stressful time for them. I'd like to wish all the students good luck taking their finals. It's just a tough time, you know, but good luck with that. And for the teachers have all those papers to get. I enjoyed the early childhood uh center activities you brought with Camden. I think if

053more people saw what going on over there might even help our ADM. You're doing a good job of promoting our school corporation and making school environment very enjoyable and fun for young kids. We met they had a Veterans Day program after our last board meeting. I'd like to say thank you for everyone that put on that Veterans Day program. That was a very interesting program and uh I think that's something we do very well is honor our vets. That was good. I have a report on Judy Bremmit. She had to go to uh she if you don't know she was a former teacher here. She had to go to California for surgery. She had 15 hour surgery a couple weeks ago and the doctors told her that she's now cancer free. >> Wow. Very good.

054That's awesome. >> She might not be able to come home for at least six more weeks. you know, because they really opened her up and it takes a while, you heal back up, but >> she's looking forward to coming back to Indiana from California here soon after Christmas. >> 26. >> We're all thankful for that. >> Let's be 26. >> I wish everybody a merry Christmas. Thank you. >> All right, Mr. Ster. Um, I'd like to thank all the employees of Deli Community School Corporation for a very successful half year and hoping that uh the next half is just as successful. So, thank you. >> All right, our student representative. >> Um, I want to say thank you for the Camden presentation. I thought it was really nice to see. I don't really think I've

055been to Camden, maybe but like once. So, it was nice to see like from like a high schooler's point of view and I really was it was like really nice to see all the students and staff represented. >> All right. Thank you. >> Okay. Uh yeah, several uh several things here that we've been moving forward with whether it's purchasing or movement towards working with different companies and different people. I want to thank performance services for your presentation tonight uh to give us a little bit idea on design build and how that works. Um, obviously we've talked about projects in the in the past couple meetings about how we want to we want to make things better around here. Um, even as much as the band lockers that we've approved a purchase for, um, I wasn't

056in band, but I I'm I'm almost certain those were probably there back when I was in school. Um, and you can't grow a program if you don't have nice things. And we need to make sure that we have that. So all these all these different purchases and things are going towards not only building programs, but our school. So, um obviously increasing demand and and desire and when people start seeing what we're doing, um that should be a good a good idea for them to want to be a part of us. Uh same with the uh the safety app. Um it it was pretty weird. I mean, I shouldn't say weird, but our our law enforcement was excited to hear that we were we wanted to do something like that to involve them to make it

057easier for everyone. Um, so and something as simple as that um very well could be what what saves something someday whe whether whether it's just a fight or something like that. It could be something that would would keep someone safe. So um those are big things and I do thank Dr. Moore for all those. Um it's it's not us board up here that does that research. She does that research. She and as Chris said uh there there are only 24 hours in a day. Um and some of us wonder how many hours she's awake. So, um, but anyway, she works hard. We thank her for that. Um, and I just ask for one more motion and that's for adjournment. >> All in favor? >> I. >> All right. M. >> No discussion. I don't want

058to eat.
