Come on in, Blake. Come on in, Willow. So, oh, everybody just come up here. All right. Good job, Blake. Good job, Willow. Now, stand here. Show those certificers would like to recognize Blake for being an outstanding outstanding student and role model. Blake participates in class, showing curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. 005Oh, sorry. So Blake Higenbotham. Next we have Willow Hudson. Willow. We would like to recognize Willow for the wonderful example she set each day. Willow is a hard-working and dependable student who always gives her best effort no matter the task. She approaches her work with quiet determination and consistently meets expectations with care and responsibility. Willow Hudson Uh Shelby Fergenstat is an exceptional student who stands out both in classroom and her extracurricular pursuits. She's a dedicated and focused scholar. Shelby maintains a perfect straight A average, demonstrating commitment to academic excellence. Um that's truly impressive.

Her hard work and tenacity recently culminated in a period of massive growth on the PSAT. Beyond her stellar grades, Shelby is generally a wonderful person to be around. Uh she has a pleasant demeanor and she is a joy uh to her teachers and peers alike. Shelby is also very active outside of academics. She's a committed member of the girls basketball team where she applies her discipline and teamwork skills on the court. Additionally, she holds a significant leadership role serving in Mr. Buskerk's cadet as Mr. Buskerk's cadet, a position that highlights her reliability, responsibility, and strong organ organizational skills because we all know he needs it, right? Uh Shelby Perkinstat is a remarkable student and a valued member of her school community combining academic achievement, athletic engagement, and outstanding personal character. So congratulations. And then uh

and then there's Carson uh who unfortunately could not be with us today. Um but Carson is a what truly sets Carson apart is his personality. He's a natural class clown, a general a genuine cut up. Um, makes any room brighter and every conversation a little funnier. So, um, he's super fun to be around, bringing laughter and levity while maintaining a motivated motivated streak that keeps him focused on his goals. Um, in fact, we actually selected both of our uh students of the month for a lot of positive growth uh in their PSAT scores. So, um, and then outside of that, he's also active on the boys basketball team, uh, and Future Farmers of America. So, um, just, uh, appreciate both of them. Thank you. >> Once again, congratulations to each of our students of the

month. Um, if you would like to stay, you're more than welcome, but if you want to leave, you you can as well. This will be a time to do that. And as we transition here, if you do choose to leave, then we'll transition the cross country team in, the boys and girls team, as we can recognize some of their accomplishments. >> Yeah, the admin might get a few pictures out there with with you if you don't take off just yet out there. >> Just send the admin back when you're done with You just leave the rest of them out there, Mr. Busker. >> You're just going to take it all your >> I got my cheat sheet today. >> It's not my phone like Alison. >> Okay. They all gonna stand up here. >> Yeah,

just have them all come up here. >> There's a few are here. So, come on up. >> Next. I'll stand behind you. I don't care. >> Everybody going that way. >> Make one big long long line. So >> now I want to take this uh just short opportunity to recognize our boys and girls cross country teams. I said I had a cheat sheet because they had a lot of accomplish accomplishments this this uh fall and just wanted to recognize them for their efforts. Um our boys team Aaron Hudson, Dylan Williams, Jacob Krys, Elijah Jordan, Dylan Kirkwood, Owen Arnett, and Sam Burkhart. Some of them aren't here with us. uh Burl's team, Esther Crane, Juniper Crane, Cheyenne Bar, Avery Fuller, Paula Retomar, Vlad, Mattie Shimus, and Caroline Roberts. Um they um won the GCI um this

year. I according to coach Valentine, that was the fourth straight year uh for both teams. Um that is just the county the five county schools that are in that, but it's still it's a good good accomplishment. um the swak for as it's a conf the conference meet the girls won that conference meet for the fourth year in a row. Um and the boys finished second by one point again this year for the second year in a row. Um so I know that's a that's always a big big goal for for both teams. Uh, I know Coach Valentine was really looking forward to for taking the boys this year and we're going to we're going to do it next year because I uh got some good news about that here in just a moment. So, um,

third they finished third place in a sectional this year, both teams. Um, the conceptual consist of of 10 to 13 teams. And I wrote on here, if it was if cross country was a class sport, just like every other team sport, both teams would have would have won a sectional. We would have been bringing a sectional trophy back to the school. Um, but because it's not class, we compete against Bloomington North and Bloomington South and and Bedford and other bigger schools. Um, but we we finish right behind Bloomington North and Bloomington South, boys and girls. So, it's cool to see that and I know that's another goal that they have next year as well. Um, we went on to regionals both as advanced as teams because you placed in top five. You get to do

that. Um, the girls advanced for the as a team for their second year in a row. The boys, this was their first year for for a few years advancing as a team. Um the girls placed 11th in the regional and then the boys placed 20th in the regional. Again, that's with 24 different teams all from from Bloomington all the way down to Evansville. Again, a lot of bigger schools um that we have. Um I got I do have a couple certificates. Uh one of them's not here with us, but these certificates are for the two individuals that made it on to state. Um Miss Esther Crane made it to state third year in a row for that. Um finishing her high school cross country career here at Eastern Green. Uh this year making it to

the to the state meet three times in a row, especially with a little bit of a start that she had this year as a senior. She was overcoming a little bit of sickness at the school year when the school year started. And just to get back to that, we're really proud of her. her sister Juniper made at the state as a freshman. That's a big feat. Open my hand. A little bit of comp sister competition rivalry when Esther. So Esther is the first girl in school history to make it three years for a sport um to the state meet. Juniper can break that record if she makes it all four years. We'll see. Um, last thing I want to mention, Joe, is uh, I mean, all of them are great in the classroom as well.

Um, but also, I mean, we're, like I said, Esther is a senior and Paula is our foreign exchange student that's been with us just this fall. Um, so every single one of the rest of them that I mentioned will be back next year. So, they got big goals again for next year and and we look forward to seeing what they work hard during the summer and take that dedication in and hopefully back at a regional somewhere. It's not going to be in Evansville next year, but we'll see where it's at and we'll hopefully get some more going to Lever at the end of the year state. So, >> so you're saying they're pretty good. >> Pretty good. Awesome. >> Thank you. >> Congratulations. >> Okay, Miss Rupert. >> And we will now hear from uh

Mrs. Amber Roupert who will talk a little bit about some of the services that she's providing in her new position at the high school. >> Hi. So, I am the student service specialist at the high school, which obviously you guys know is a new position this year. Um this means I get to help bridge the gap for students um in supporting what they need and learn in order to learn the most like valuable skills that we could have in life um beyond just academics. Um my job is to support building some coping, advocacy, social, and just all around life skills for students. Um our teachers are amazing, so partnering with them to support students both inside and outside of the classroom has been so fun this year. Um, as of today, I've had over 400

sessions um with students. Um, this includes some collaboration with parents and teachers. Um, it also includes around 60 different students. 40 of those um are on like a rotating case load. So, I get the pleasure to work with them throughout the rest of high school. Um, this year seems to have brought a lot of anxiety, um, some anger and impulse management and a lot of other complex emotions. Um, in addition to this, I also routinely check in with students who seem to need additional support academically. And I collaborate with them on organization, some like time and task management, and then also teaching them to advocate for themselves and what support they may need in the classroom. Um, excuse me. Uh, the focus of my sessions is usually targeted towards supporting them in developing skills. I'm

a firm believer that there is no such thing as too much education and that knowledge truly is power. Um I teach them to get curious about their life, about their emotions, how they can better themselves. Um in certain situations it might mean educating students on recent diagnoses and how that can impact them individually. Um it isn't just telling them what to do, but getting them to invest in themselves and truly like want to learn. Um because of my role and I truly do think this is my dream job. Um I get to have a bird's eye view of some of the best and worst moments of a student's life. Um I don't take this lightly. Even when it's hard to help them walk through some of these moments because when they get those wins big

or small, I also get to see those too. Um Mr. Kirkindle and I thought that sharing one of these moments would be encouraging for the work that each of us play in the role of students. Um at the beginning of the year we had a student who came to us navigating some pretty severe social anxiety. Um they found it incredibly difficult to make it through daily difficult to make it through daily routines um like using a locker, attending class, uh making friends, completing assignments um and certainly any form of public speaking. Um so this caused a lot of panic attacks um and like needing to leave the classroom quite frequently. Um it also resulted in a lot of very intentional support from myself, Miss Wolfbury, even Mr. Kirkindall. Um and all of the teachers through

collaboration with their teacher. Um we focused on building confidence, perseverance, and coping skills, helping them take small but really manageable steps forward towards independence. Um and just helping them learn to recognize and celebrate even the small victories. um just a couple weeks ago they were able to share a private piece of work with their classmates out loud in front of them. Um and they had full confidence in themselves to be able to do that. Um the amount of pride that their teacher and I felt for them was nothing compared to the confidence that she felt when she walked out. Um that was really the most rewarding part of the whole thing. Um beyond just like receiving the grade. Um I know that hard days will probably still come for her. Um, but she is a

reference point now to like point back and say, "Well, I did this, so I can keep doing it forward." Um, I could share stories all day long, um, of students that have overcome so much already and just like as a reminder of the privilege that I have within my role, um, talking about my students is my favorite. So, I was just glad to come and share at least one story with you guys. Thank you very much. >> Okay, now we are going to hear a brief update from our student council. >> Hi. >> Where's yours, Jake? >> Yeah, I am communications director for the 2025 2026 school year. And uh I'm just going to share a little about what we did through the October month. We were very busy this month. We had principal and

custodial appreciation in which we decorated Mr. Kirkindall's door. I actually was crawling on the floor as his door was open. I just stick up on and we also decorated our custodians doors. We had a very successful event with our academic honor jacket ceremony. It was a very heartwarming event where we got to honor some of our amazing teachers and the legacy that they built. It was successful with great attendance and lots of community support. The student council also learned a lot as it was our first time organizing it. So, our next event will be the Turkey Bowl, which is similar to Powderpuff, but instead we will have boys playing volleyball and girls refereeing. So, this is always a big event that we look forward to every year. >> Um, we've just finished a school spirit

project in which >> what? >> Turkey bowl. >> Okay. This is not like the turkey drop, is it? >> The old people will get that. >> We don't want that. Uh we also just finished a pretty big uh school spirit project in which a group groups of students would come together to come up with more ideas about how we can get our students to have more school spirit, school pride, and more engagement. We also hope to um implement those ideas throughout the future. But we would like to give a special thank you to Mr. Kirk Doll and our school administration and our board members for your ongoing support. We truly couldn't do it without you guys. Thank you. All right. Anybody here to speak? Nope. Okay. Just recommend the agenda for the November 10th, 2025

meeting be approved as presented with additions, corrections, deletions as recommended by the board. Second, Dennis. All those four 60 recommend the meeting the minutes from the October 13, 2025 meeting be approved as presented. Dennis second Kim four. >> Okay. Five zero or against or abstain? >> I just want to make sure I can't >> I can't vote, can I? If I wasn't here. Oh, >> you can still vote. >> Oh, okay. Okay. Is recommend the claims numbers through >> 21294 >> be approved and presented. Do we have any discussion on the claims? >> Okay. Do I have a motion? Sharon second. All those four you vote now. >> Yeah. >> That's it. All right. Mr. Lewis to take over. >> All right. Uh, first up is a teachers agreement. Um, I seek a motion to

approve the 2526 school year uh agreement between Eastern Green Schools and the Eastern Green Teachers Organization. Um, before you vote and second and so forth, I do want to uh thank the EGTO for their willingness to work with us. Um so many times you hear horror stories where it's combative um and you can't come together on an agreement. Uh that has not been the case in my two years here. Um they work hard for their members but also understand the finances that schools are facing and it was definitely a a team um approach. So I do appreciate Jill and the rest of the EGTO for all their work with us to come to an agreement. Uh just to share a couple things with it. Uh we did increase the the base pay um a thousand

at each step. So our starting salaries are now 43,000 for someone with zero zero years, excuse me. And then 78,000 is at the top of the scale with somebody that has a masters. Um the there is a state statute that we're supposed to be at 45. Uh there are some things we will have to do in the coming board meetings to recognize that we are not. But uh uh I am I am glad that we were able to give that 100 that $1,000 step to get us that much closer to 43. It does keep us very competitive with the other county schools. >> And note if the public has a qu wants to see it, it will be posted. Yeah, it will be the the tentative agreement is there. Um a cleaned up final agreement

will be posted in the next couple days. Uh the only other major change is we we do uh some buyback of sick days. Um but again, we can go over that language. If you have any questions, come see me or you can see it on the website. >> All right. Any discussion by the board? >> Okay. Do I have a motion? Dennis second. Natalie. All those in favor? 6. >> Okay. Next, um, we have some bids that we are going to try hope to get accepted. Here we start with the early learning center bid. Um, I seek a motion to accept the bid for the early learning center. Uh, just to remind everyone, uh, the early learning center, we are using u general obligation bond money to, uh, pay for those renovations. And um I

would be more than happy to um review those bids with anybody that would like to come in and see them in specific detail. Um I am happy to say that the bids did come in under our estimates. So that is always a good thing. Um so we do appreciate Steph Nogle Group and all of the other players that were involved with that. >> Okay. Any discussion on behalf of the board? Um, and we do want to mention to the public watching that if all this is public information. So if anybody want we're not going to go over it in detail, but if anybody wants to see this, they are welcome to see all the bids. Everything's um again public information. Just come in during normal work days to see any of the bids we accept.

Okay. Do I have a motion, Natalie? Second Dennis all those four 60 look forward to having a new improved early learning. So >> yes and we will give updates on that process um when we begin the construction in the spring. Um next I seek a motion to accept the bid for the lows slope roof improvement project. Um these uh improvements will be uh will will take place based on the lease bond for the central campus. That was the title of the the lease bond um which includes the elementary and middle school buildings. Uh the low slope roof. Um Scott Stegle, correct me if I'm wrong. Those are the basically the flat roofs. >> Yes. Correct. >> So we seek a motion. Again, those beds came in right at or just under what we anticipated. So

that was always good news. >> Okay. Any discussion? Okay. Do I have a motion? Sharon. Second. Jim. >> All those four 60. >> Uh next I seek a motion to accept the bid for the shingled roof project also uh through the lease bond for the central campus. Um those bids also came in a little under what the estimates were uh projected to be which is always good news. Um that will be any of the pitched roofs which will be shingled moving forward. Um yeah see that that motion to accept those bids. >> Okay. Any discussion? Okay. Do I have a motion? Sharon second Natalie. All those four. >> It would be nice not to have big trash cans undering all the >> feature. Pardon? Are we getting that feature? >> Yeah. A water feature. A

water feature. >> Yeah, the water feature. >> Uh, next, um, I seek a motion to accept the bid for the high school ADA restroom and parking lot edition. Um, this will be part of the high school lease bond. Um, a little bit about this project. We've talked a little bit about this in some work sessions. Uh these will be some new restrooms that are ADA compliant that will be located between the high school football field and the high school soccer field near our existing concession stand. And there will also be a parking lot that will be back behind the uh bleacher area of the football field that will um provide some handicap parking for those attending both soccer matches and football games and track events. Uh I we do have Scott here can talk a

little bit about that bid. I don't know if he's had an opportunity if the board would like to hear something about that or >> if you have questions you summed it up pretty well. >> Okay. >> So if you guys have if you've got any questions for him but uh we we did the bid process and >> they came in a little below >> estimates as well. >> No discussion. Okay. Do I have a motion? Dimmonds. Second, Natalie. All those four 60. Okay. Thank you. Uh, next we seek a motion to approve the advertising of bid for the high school parking lot and the high school drives improvement project. Again, we will be working on various parking lots and some of the driveways, including the transportation department area, uh the front parking area, um and

as well as some other driving um driveway uh improvements, and that will also be part of the lease bond project on the high school site. And we're just seeking permission to advertise for these pits. >> All right. Do you have a motion, Dennis? Second. Heather all those four. Okay. Um and we have one additional um a motion to approve the advertising of the bid for the high school track and field improvements project. Um, this will consist of uh resurfacing the the track, uh, redoing the fence, which has had many issues, and redoing some of the the concrete and asphalt apron that is around that. Um, am I missing anything else that's included in that? >> This will also include a complete rebuild of the track. Um, because of the poor subsurface soils underneath, we learned

and as Mr. has indicated um it will include new asphalt base, new asphalt surface and then a half an inch thick rubber surface over over the track. We are including uh one, excuse me, we are including four alternates. One alternate is to construct the concrete step. So the students going from the high school to the egg building, they don't have to slip and slide up the grass bank. There's going to be a concrete step there as an alternate. The another alternate is to remove and replace and improve the athlet the field events, the shot field event and also the shot uh discus field event. Um improve those areas. Another alternate is to the north D zone. Right now there's just a little asphalt square for the high jump. uh we decided to include an alternate

to to pave that entire Dzone to allow a better approach and get rid of the little slivers of grass on the side. It will provide better drainage uh also for that north D zone. Again, that's an alternate and the last alternate was to install concrete pavement at the north get my directions here northwest corner of the track. Right now there's gravel there. I think there's a storage shed there. Um that's that concrete pavement would provide just a smoother transition for emergency vehicles and other vehicles u attending the event. So those are the four alternatives. Okay. Any discussion? Do I have a motion? Dennis second. all this for. >> Guys, you got a lot of work to do now. >> We do. We're looking forward to it. We're excited to see the transformation, especially here. >>

Sure. Look nice. >> Yeah. >> And as as uh as Scott was saying, if anybody has any questions about this, contact me here at the office and I'd be more than happy to sit down and talk to you and go over the bid. >> Wonder when the general bid is going to be due for the ones you're advertising >> later in the year. Yes, >> they are. >> Mr. >> Let me pull my note back. >> Sure. >> No, no problem. >> Should have asked that earlier. >> They are supposed to be due on December I think of sec first second week of December. >> Okay. First second week of December. And I think we're bringing them to the board in January. >> January board meeting. Okay. >> For approval or for consideration >> and

we'll have a work session to go over them. >> We certainly can. Yeah. Yeah. I think I would like to >> with with the Thanksgiving holiday in there in Christmas. We decided to wait until >> January with first board meeting possibly. So, and we can definitely arrange a work session prior to that. >> Okay. >> Thank you very much. >> All right. Thanks for coming on. >> Thank you. >> Excuse me. >> All right. Next, uh I seek a motion to approve the overnight trip that the members of the FFA attended at the national convention in Indianapolis. Uh this was inadvertently missed by myself at the last meeting. It is a reoccurring trip they do each year. So, I went ahead and gave them permission, but uh we wanted to get this on the official

books that they did it. >> I guess we really have to approve this. >> We do. Yeah. I hope we approve this. Yeah. Yeah. So >> yes, the pressure is on us and it got a motion. >> Any discussion? Do we want to think about this? Okay. Motion Heather Natalie. >> Okay. Well, that's okay. Natalie, all those four. >> Okay, they can go. >> All right. Good. Thank you. >> Um Okay. Next. Um, I do seek a motion to approve a proposed trip to Japan. Um, we do have a very short presentation. Miss Miss Jeang is here to talk a little bit about that. You should have an additional handout um that talks about some of the cost and who will attend and she's going to review that with you right now. >> Yeah. So,

um I think a year ago I proposed a trip for 2026. Things happened. Some kids weren't able to go. So, we're trying to push it back. um allow current sophomores and freshman to hopefully go. So, who's this for? Um it's for kids in anime clubs, um anyone in the high school who's interested, and anyone in the middle school who might be interested in just learning about Japan. Um so, our goal is for them to um see different culture, art, um history. A lot of them love learning about like castles in Japan, temples, and those are some of the places we're going to be visiting. And the trip um is planned for u March 11th to March 18th around those dates. Um during spring break um price about 4,900 for students um 5,500 for adults. Um

one free chaperone spot for every six that signed up. And this is through EF tours. So that's a change from the previous trip I was trying to plan. um EF tours is just um better for smaller group sizes and there's also the liability plan that they have. So something that happens um they have us covered. Um just an overview of like some of the things on the trip. Um we have a visit to a museum on day three. Um day four uh we have a visit to an art museum which is very high tech and nice for kids to see. And on day five, we have another museum trip. This time to a ramen museum. Um, day six. Um, >> wait a minute. I have a question. On day five, >> you're going to Chinatown

in Japan. >> It's interesting. They have like a small district in Japan where it's got like Chinese culture. So, it's like a >> That's fine. That's fine. I was just It kind of stood out there. And then um day six would be a rural trip. So there would be um temples kids can see um they can see the farmland. So just kind of like a different aspect of Japan compared to all the high-tech technology they see. >> Are you making um is there chance of like going to Studio Gibli studios or anything? >> Uh that was on another tour uh but unfortunately not on this one. Okay. >> Anybody got any questions, discussion? >> Do you know how many how many students and folks would you need to actually >> How many are required? >>

Yeah, required >> only six. >> Okay. >> Six students. >> Okay. >> How many you hope? Do you have any? >> I have um some from the last trip. Um I have like about five who We're trying to go from that last trip and then hopefully we can find a couple more kids to buy us. >> Well, it sounds like a great opportunity. I know having taken a group of students when they were in eighth grade to China just to get to experience the culture and see some of that. It's a once in a-lifetime opportunity for the kids. So, we appreciate you doing that. >> Okay. Anybody have any discussion? >> Okay. I see the motion then. >> All right. Have a motion. Second, Heather. All those four, you got your trip. >> Thank you

very much. Appreciate Appreciate the information. >> Okay, we'll continue on here with the agenda. The next up, uh, I seek a motion to approve a $750 stipen for Janelle Zuckworth for providing CPI training to our staff. a little bit about CPI training. It is um an approved method to restrain a student who is potentially could harm themselves or harm others. So that you do it in a an approved method to keep from injuring a student and so forth. And Janelle has been trained uh to be a trainer um of of our our staff. And she has trained both teachers as well as teaching assistants. and she will be providing a session to our administrators as well. And uh that $750 stipen is just a fraction of what it would cost for us to bring somebody

in to do that training. >> Yeah. And CBI is this crisis prevention intervention. >> Um so the rest >> is tiny piece of it. I mean it's really a it's an excellent excellent program. >> Deescalation skills. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do I have a motion? Second other all those four 60. >> All right. Next we have some personnel. Um I seek a motion to approve the resignation of Gina Ingram as high school head varsity volleyball coach. We do want to thank her for her her her efforts with our volleyball program. Um she had retired and came out of retirement to help us out and uh she will be missed but she has a welldeserved retirement. >> Okay. Do I have a motion? Dennis second four 6. >> Uh next I seek a motion to approve

the resignation of Catalina Baker as a kid zone assistant. Um that would be effective today. >> Okay. Do I have a motion? Heather second four 6. >> Uh, next I seek seek a motion to approve the resignation of Grace Deckard as kids zone assistant. >> Okay. Do I have a motion? >> Second Natalie. All those four 6 0 Okay. So, next I seek a motion to recommend um Austin Matricardi as the boys baseball head coach for the uh spring 26 season. >> Have a motion. Sharon, Natalie, all those four 6. Um, next I seek a motion to recommend Jeff Graves as a boys baseball assistant coach for the 26th season as well. >> Have a motion. Second, Natalie. All those four. >> Next, I seek a motion to recommend Vern Shell as the boys baseball

assistant coach for the spring 26 season. >> Motion by Natalie, second by Dennis. All is for 600 Z. >> Next, I seek a motion to approve Bill Valentine as the high school boys track coach for the 26th season. >> Motion, Dennis. Second, Natalie. All those four 600. >> We'll keep with the theme of track here. A motion to approve Sydney Clerk as the high school girls track coach for the 26th season. Is she a lake coach? >> She Well, no. She's a She's our nurs's assistant at the high school. >> Okay. >> So, she works for us full time, but Yeah. >> Okay. Do I have a motion? Natalie second. Heather those four >> and she helped last year and she ran track and field high school as well. >> City Johnson. >> Yes. >>

Y um next we have some donations. I seek a motion to approve the following donation of $2,000 from Carl and Marcy Cook to the middle school and high school Eastern Green Bowling Club. >> Okay, got a motion, Natalie. Second, Heather. All those four 600. As always, we appreciate the donation. >> I do have one item. >> Yep. >> I do have one late item for the board if they would uh allow me. I would like to make a motion to approve Stacy Deckard as the varsity softball head coach for the uh 26 spring season. >> Okay. Hold on. What? Oh, let's see. So, okay. So, we'll that'll go under that number. Okay. So, I do have a motion for that. Dennis second. Natalie. All those four. Natalie, you >> I am sorry. I already had

my arm up once. >> Okay. Well, it's different. I'm >> getting tired. I had to switch arms. >> I do want to thank uh Mr. Buskerk um and Mr. Kirkindall for all their work on helping secure those coaches going through the process. Um I can say with the exception of those returning to their positions, I did get a chance to talk with each of them. So >> now we're ready for discussion items. >> Okay, the three principles. Who wants to go first? >> No fight, please. >> Um I'll go first. I just have a few updates from the elementary. Um I did want to give an update on parent teacher conference. Um I reached out to my teachers. I think we came up with roughly 90% of our families took advantage of the opportunity to

come up for a parent teacher conference. So we were really happy with that. Um I want to thank my teachers because this is time away from their families. They're organizing it. They're planning it. Um but I also want to thank the families that came in. We just appreciate that partnership. Um, and then I also want to thank our PTO for providing a meal. That makes it a little bit easier for teachers when they stay and dinner's provided. So, thank you for that. Um, I want to give an update on our professional development day on October 27th. We had a really great day. Sorry. In addition to spending some time working in a team. Um, Allison and I collaborated and we led a Kids of Hope session uh on purposeful play. And so, it was uh

we had a really great time. and we got the teachers to just sort of like uh just let >> let loose and play and it was a lot of fun was had by all. So I just want to thank our teachers for just you know engaging in the opportunity. Um and thank Allison and Leslie and Tasha for the four of us just working together to plan that out for them. Um I'm going to give a couple shout outs to our PTO. They led or they hosted Eastern Green Has Talent which was a really fun event. I'm thankful to everyone who organized it. I'm thankful to the kids that put themselves out there and showcase their talents for everyone. So, thank you all for that. Um, I also want to thank PTO for our cookies and

canvas event. I'm It's We're barely in November and I they just keep coming with the fun stuff. So, last week we met and we did cookies and canvas. Uh, I want to say uh we had roughly a hundred people there. I want to thank Azip Pizza, Warthingington Legion Post 106, a piece of cake, and one generous PTO Mamma for providing all of the cookies and then Marcy Parsley for leading us through a really fun um fall portrait. So, thank you to that. Um I wanted to share a book blast update from Jennifer Taylor. Um so, this was sort of a fundraiser she did separate for library. she was able to raise $31,1554, which will put over 2,000 books into the hands of our students. So, each kid will get to take home at least two

books on our celebration day. Um, and we also got $1,900 in funds that teachers will be able to use to stock their own classroom libraries. So, um, that was a really great thing that Jennifer uh got going for us. We had 70% of our students participate, which was amazing. and we need to um shout out Michelle Hardy who is our parent volunteer. She prepared daily announcements for me um labeled boxes and prizes and everything. So, thank you for that. Um other than that, we're excited to host our Veterans Day program. Pre-reception starts at 9:15 tomorrow. That's all I have. Thanks. Uh okay. At the middle school, our enrollment is up three from the last time we met. We're at 3:42 now. So, that's exciting. Our attendance was at 95%. I do want to give a

special shout out to the fifth grade. They had the highest attendance this month with 96.36%. And sixth grade was right behind them, just not quite um as much, but yeah. So, very good to our new students to the middle school that they're showing up and taking initiative to be involved. We have almost finished up checkpoint one. Um, I want to give another special shout out to grade five math and grade seven, both who performed higher than the state average. Fifth grade was at 53% proficiency, um, where the state sat at 42%. So, quite a bit higher. And seventh grade had 76% proficiency on this one. Um, and the state was only at 38%. So, um, knocked it out of the park. Again, we, um, everyone else did a wonderful job as well. We gained insight

from that first checkpoint. We know where we need to work. Um, this where the spiral review will happen and how we will continue to just use that data to create our groups, our math labs, and our reading labs in the morning to help our students reach um, their potential. Um, I also wanted to talk about the professional development. I wanted to thank Kira, Tatasha, and Leslie for working so hard to create what I think was a really fun and productive day. Um, I know when we said we're going to play this morning that um, half my staff was like, "No, I'm not. I'm not playing." And I'm like, "We are. We are. We're not sitting down and we're going to have so much fun." Um, and by the end of it, everybody was smiling and

laughing and had a good time, but also with that is the learning opportunity about all the things that we learn during play that some of our kids are missing out on. And so it just kind of gives them the opportunity to think about that in a different light and and then move on from there. Um, my shout outs uh are to the special ed team this month. I want to thank them. Um, They had their own professional development on the 27th and then of course we talked about Mrs. C has been working really hard to get us all trained. Uh we just have a just phenomenal special ed department period. Um all of our instructional assistants um Miss Pretty, Miss Swipe, Miss Bailey, um all the people over at the high school that also worked.

they're working to try to make sure that um our kids needs are met and trying to do it the best way possible and it's not always an easy task. So I I want to thank all of them. I also want to thank we just had Thunderbird Madness. So that's our kickoff to the basketball season and that was last Thursday. Mr. Martinddale organized that uh along with the eighth grade team who did uh sold Sundays at the event for the eighth grade BC trip and it was a success. We got to watch all the kiddos kind of get started and show off some of their talent. So, it was very exciting. Um, other than that, I think I am done. I I hate that part because I know I always leave. There's so many There's so

many people I Good shot. Yeah. Thank you. >> Should I cut you off that way? >> Cut me off. Tell them. >> Okay, you're done. Mr. Kirkindall. >> Okay. I'd like to start off on a personal note and thank um all of my staff and students uh for their words of sympathy over the past week. Um this past week I lost my grandmother. Um it's never easy to lose a loved one, but I can't express how appreciative I've been for having everyone's thoughts, prayers, and support. Um our so on to school business. Um our current combined cohort attendance at the high school, this is all four grade levels, 94.43% 43% which is I believe about 2% higher than it was last year which is fantastic. Uh so thank you to all of our students for

putting in the work and showing up. Uh we also had our academic jacket ceremony in which uh we had we honored 13 students and uh all of their um the educators that impacted their lives. Uh in order to be a jacket recipient, you have to have a 3.75 GPA over the first six semesters of your schooling. So uh those 13 students were Addison Ramy, Andrew Shaw, Ashlin Bellman, Brooklyn Osborne, Dane Talbot, Embbergator, Esther Crane, Caleb Jackson, Caitlyn Elmore, Kaylee Hammer, Megan Crowe, Reagan Keefe, and Sophia Nante. Um on the 23rd we had our fall testing day uh where everyone was supposed to be testing uh but unfortunately the seniors uh kind of got out of it um due to the uh government shutdown ASVAB was uh postponed. We are working to uh get a uh

a new date. We're waiting for information from from our our local uh military services branch. So, um, the PSAT was taken by all freshman, sophomores, and juniors. Uh, it's our hope to use this this information to kind of inform student student uh, excuse me, teacher instruction and prepare the juniors for the SAT in March. I would like to thank uh, Miss Martin and our FFA for representing us at the national convention in Annapolis. Uh, I heard about all their exploits and they had a good time and u did a great job, like I said, representing us. Um, good thing we approved it. >> Yeah, it's lucky. I want to thank uh Mr. Reid and our JAG uh class. Uh, they just completed a hygiene drive uh collecting hygiene products for our students that might be

in need. Um, and I know that they uh that that drive always actually goes off really really well at the high school. I know there's a there is a need for for things of that nature. I would like to wish uh good luck to our girls and boys basketball programs as they begin their seasons. Um I know girls have just started. Boys will be starting here in a couple weeks. Uh I would also like to invite our local veterans to participate in our Veterans Day ceremony tomorrow starting at 8:30. Uh preemptive thank you to Mrs. Bartlett, her journalism students, Mrs. Ogle and the band, and Mr. Drummond and the choir for all their efforts in making this a great experience. And of course, a happy Veterans Day to all of our currently serve serving and

retired service members and their families. Uh then last but not least, u we'd like to also recognize all of our all SWAK or honorable mention uh students uh some of which you saw earlier today. Uh we actually had a conference uh I believe it was two weeks ago. >> Yeah. Uh, for volleyball, Reagan Keef and Leila Quimby. Uh, for girls golf, Izzy Forester. Honorable mention, Jaylen Lions, Mia Banther, and Mattie Sylvester. Cross country, uh, Aaron Hudson, Dylan Williams, Elijah Jordan, Esther Crane, Juniper Crane, Madison Shimus, Avery Fuller, Cheyenne Bar, honorable mention, Jacob Kit, Dylan Kirkwood, and Paula Retar. Uh then last but not least, I would like to wish everyone a rested restful and blessed uh thanksgiving break. Um as far as being thankful, I'm thankful for my staff, not only my teachers, but all

the wonderful people I work beside, my office staff, custodial kitchen staff, my administration team, and uh not certainly not least uh the great Eastern the great students at Eastern Green. So, thank you. All right, hold on. Mr. >> Add a little bit to that. I mean, u talked about the allconerence stuff. We also had a bunch of academic all state. Um for for all of our sports. Um we had four four senior volleyball players, Ashlin, Reagan, Sophie, and Jolie. All academic all state. Um soccer, we not we're not in a soccer conference. we had we would have had some members on the conference team for that if we had a conference team. Um but also wanted to mention um some another event coming up is the Santa train at December and I believe they're doing

the >> breakfast at the high school like they did last year. So >> what's that? >> The Santa train at Salsbury and then they're doing breakfast with the Grinch at school. >> I'll tell you more about it. December 6th. Sorry, >> wrench. >> I signed you up to help. >> Yeah, we did have we did have four uh soccer players that played in the North South game this last weekend. Cash Coulson, uh Griff Hingel, Ethan Moffett, and Kayen McCormack played in the North South game. So, it's a pretty good feat >> knowing that we've only had soccer for three years. Yeah. >> Thank you, Mr. Post Kirk. >> Yeah, >> that's why I wore this shirt today. >> All right, Mr. Lewis. >> Well, I just once again want to thank the Eastern Green Teachers

organization for uh being uh team players and working with us and coming to an agreement. Um I want to echo uh our principles mentioned, but we do have Veterans Day programs tomorrow. Um as Mr. Kirk Doll was saying, the from 8:30 to approximately 9:30 will be the high school program. Uh the elementary program, they have a pre-reception or pre-program reception which will start at about 9:15 and then the program is um estimated to begin at about 9:45 and then uh we will have the middle school Veterans Day program starting at 1:30. So um we we try to accommodate so our veterans can attend all three if they would like. So we we certainly uh uh as Mr. Mr. Kirk Doll said we want to thank all of our veterans. Um I have two siblings that

are are veterans of the Navy, so it always uh holds a special place for me as well as some grandparents that that were involved as well. Um I also want to wish the best of luck to all of our winter sports teams and our winter clubs as they participate in the upcoming seasons. Um it's always a busy time in the winter when we get basketball and all the other clubs and activities going on. Um, I also want to just take a moment to uh to talk about the snow event we had this morning. Uh, myself and transportation director Mr. Carter both went out and drove roads at 4:40 a.m. this morning and at that time the roads were dry and they appeared good to go. Uh, it started snowing then at around 6:00 a.m. and

at first it didn't look too bad. But right around the bus pickup time and as people were coming to school, it started coming down harder and the roads got worse pretty quickly. Uh by that point, our buses were already on the road. Um if the snow had started earlier, a delay probably would have been the right call, but once the buses are running, making a last minute change becomes really tough, especially for families who have to scramble to make arrangements for their younger children. Our goal is to always be uh in school whenever it's safe to do so and we take that responsi responsibility very seriously. I just wanted to be open about the thought process this morning. The timing of the snow really limited our ability to make any changes once things were already

in motion. We'll keep learning from each situation, but in this case, it was just a matter of the absolute worst timing for the burst of snow to happen. I do want to thank all of our bus drivers, our transportation guys, and all the parents uh for working to get our students to school safely. So, I just want to be transparent and share the process for that. And uh let's hope that tomorrow morning's a little better and we're on time. >> It's going to be 70 Fridays. >> I I did see that as well. Yes. So, yeah, welcome to Indiana. So, that's all I have. >> All right, Sharon. >> Yep. >> I just have one event that's going to be coming up. So, I thought I'd I'll send this out to you in the email,

but also for the community to know. There's a Southern Indiana Business Review will be um doing an event down at Westgate, and it basically is a state of the region about the whole defense sector and it's a very open uh wide r wide ranging conversation. It's from 11 to 1:15 on December the 9th. Um, and there is a registration process. It's just $25 though because they're going to feed you lunch. So, um, but there's going to be speakers there um, from the different contracting folks along with the folks that are putting in the new munitions campus, uh, the hypersonics folks, all the new micro electronics things. So, if you're really interested in learning about what's going on in the defense sector and all the new things coming into our communities in the future, uh it

would be a great opportunity to to learn about that. >> It's the nth. It's >> the 9th today. >> It's the ninth and so I'll pass that on to all of you. And if folks just go on to Southern Indiana Business Review, they can see that registration and >> applications. >> I believe I went to that last year. Was there something similar to that last year? There was there was a state of the business by just the defense. >> Okay. I would >> just Navy folks, right? >> This is a regional all the defense contractors. It's a bigger >> broader reach. >> That's all I have. >> Well, thank you for mentioning the Santa Train. That's a really big event for our community. It's probably going to be really cold, >> wet, >> you never

know. >> But it's a great thing. But a few years ago, we started doing for the PTO having a breakfast afterwards because we thought everybody's already going to be going to the Santa Train. Why don't we catch them on the way back and get them to come to our event? And it's been really successful. So, we're going to do that again this year. Um, thank you for letting us use the high school because that was a way better transition in and out last year. and we've learned from we've learned a little bit every year and so this year hopefully people are not having to wait for an hour to get their pancakes. But um we appreciate the huge turnout because that's always great. Um and we have a a new member of the Grinch family

uh attending this year on camera. Now that person cannot back out. So anyway, >> so what's what's the date on the Santa train again? >> It's the 6th. >> It's the Grinch. >> So >> what date did you say? December 6th. >> We It Yeah, it's just the like they shows up at the Salsbury at like 8:30 in the morning, I think. You want to get there before that and we the first stop. So they're pretty on that one. >> Um so >> goes to the cemetery. The Grinch does not go to they're that not it's a different Grinch. But u I I think our breakfast I don't know exactly on the start time, but we've usually started at like around like 9 because people that got in line early. >> So you want me

at 8:30 so I can get my panties. >> Listen, I'll you're going to get special instructions, okay? And you want to like have on some swimwear or something underneath that thing. just >> I'm sure the camera you'll be warm and toasty teach you about the mascot code here. >> Anyway, >> all right, Dennis, >> I just want to thank everybody, the teachers, administration, everybody that works at Eastern. We're doing a great job. Just thank you all. >> All right. Um, other than that, I'm just very excited for work to get started on our project. >> It is exciting to get started. >> Actually do something positive and grow. Okay. With that being said, if nobody else has >> I'll make a motion. >> 8:15 a.m. at Salsbury. >> Okay. So, >> yeah. Like you want

to get there early. Yeah. Way before that. >> Okay. It is recommended that the meeting be adjourned at 7:33 >> p.m. Do I have a motion? >> I think I'll do that. >> Dennis second Kim. All those four.
