003um who's Lisa and Elizabeth all right thank you all in favor say aye aye any opposed motion carried thank you so let's get on with the show huh yeah Senior High School fall play almost named uh let me have Jeremy hankinson come up please and start us off thank you sir all right hi everybody I'm Jeremy Hawkinson the director of uh the fall Play We produced almost Maine this year it's the uh most widely produced high school or play in high schools in America and for good reason it's a it's a really interesting play for those of you who saw it it kind of takes the metaphorical and makes it real like a couple characters like Molly and live fall in love with each other and they literally fall down on stage every time they
004think of each other who else let's see Jillian wants to give her love back to her boyfriend because she wants to break up and she carries on these huge bags of love so you see them on stage um Alicia's character his heart is broken right and she brings her heart out literally in a bro in a bag a broken heart it was a very Charming poignant show and it's fun to introduce um not only an audience but the cast to uh creative writers like John cariani he's he's a really cool guy um cast was fantastic a lot of young performers a lot of seasoned performers I was very proud of the hard work they did and the Great Performances they showed us and uh our our crew is getting better every year I think it
005might be the best ever for our upcoming production this winter we'll see I want to thank Mr denner and Mr Wolf for putting together a great set Mr Isaacs for being a great technical director Mrs incentive for beautiful costumes and thank you for the board and Dr terranova for this continued recognition um Maureen Sherry Liz thanks for organizing everything and uh we'll see you in March for Titanic all right should we get a picture real quick or are we gonna do a picture [Applause] foreign [Applause] okay who's next Junior High School Musical elf so Leanne birkmeyer please thank you [Applause] thank you um I just want to thank Dr terranova and the entire board of education for always being so supportive of our theater theater programs we are really busy in the fall at Victor
006Junior High and Senior High the Junior High musical is always a huge undertaking that could never be possible without an incredibly talented production staff that I am lucky enough to work with so I just wanted to also quickly thank Anthony D'Agostino Laura Brewer Sarah Riley Sherry bishoping Aaron Isaac Steve cron Miller Mary Sue Holtz Matt mean Tim Coughlin Karen melamatersha Sarah pascani and Wendy sentiff not to mention the many volunteers from our faculty and staff I had some amazing high school student helpers and of course our awesome and supportive parents people who know that there are no people quite like theater people and there are no parents quite like theater parents which makes us the luckiest of production teams this year's show elf not quite as deep as is almost Maine not not a lot
007of deep messages in elf but certainly a lot of spirit and so much fun so I show Elf the musical was no exception when it came to support from awesome people so from the costumes to the set to the choreography and music it truly was a group effort and we hit the ground running with these kids literally the first week of school we had our first meeting the first week of school so our cast crew and Orchestra worked so hard together to create a little bit of Magic on stage and I could not be more proud of them in less than two months they grew in so many ways and their dedicated effort hard work and commitment was truly evident they helped bring a little bit of cheer to three really packed audiences we were
008quite thrilled about that so I just wanted I know I only have about a third of my cast in fact I don't even think my elf is here but the elf-like kids are here so if they could all just stand up I want to congratulate and the many gifted fun spirited group of fabulous students including my including my crew um and if you guys could just head down really quickly to take a photo come on down and my high school crew kids and my junior I think there's some Junior High crew kids here too foreign this is the best act I can do I guess it's not anywhere closer what these folks can do the next one is the nafme all National Honor Ensemble participant the one and only Brian siesto please okay thank you
009everybody I'm going to read this on behalf of Mrs uh Chris and Miss Kristen mellama who is our choir director but she cannot be here tonight um the National Association for music ensembles all National Honor ensembles represents the top performing High School musicians in the United States so much more than a musical showcase the all-national honor Ensemble program is a comprehensive and educational experience senior Enzo De Jesus was selected to perform with this year's all National Honor mix choir a National Harbor Maryland he joined 240 of the top High School singers in the country for a four-day festival and concert series working with conductor Dr Francis fonza I just want to reiterate that literally of the millions of high school students who we have in this country who sang he is one of the top
010240 in the entire country so I think that's got to be stable so [Applause] musicians are invited to audition for the National Honor Ensemble based on their performance at nisma solo Fest where Enzo sang a beautiful rendition of Schubert's Ave Maria last April students must then perform a virtual audition be nominated by their choir teacher and participate in the school's Choir in order to be considered Enzo is a senior member of our senior high Varsity choir and has been involved in our choir and theater program in Victor since he was in eighth grade he is also a member of the nationally recognized music Honor Society Triumph and I can attest to the fact that he is one of the most genuinely nicest sincere people you will ever come across so it is my honor to
011congratulate Enzo de Jesus okay uh the next two people I'm going to bring up to the podium are Dewey Weimer and Dewey Weimer because and I'll let I'll let you introduce the teams thank you thank you good evening everybody Dewey Weimer director of Health PE and Athletics I want to say congratulations to all the Performing Arts amazing accomplishments had the chance to watch I have three daughters in a strengths program and it's just amazing all that you do so congratulations uh 700 Plus student athletes this fall we are one of the largest athletic programs in section five if not the state but more importantly we also succeed in the classroom 13 out of 13 of our Varsity programs for scholar athlete teams 100 congratulations on that before I bring up our amazing coaches and champions
012I do want to thank the board of education for your support Dr Terra Nova all of our building administrators especially Mr siesto he's a champion uh Champion Senior High Principal thank you Mr siesto I'd be remiss if I didn't think Mr Ferrari Mrs Turner the most awesome athletic office staff ever parents and Guardians coaches and lastly but never least student athletes thank you so much I'm going to bring up swimming head coach Brett leader and his Champions please thank you come on up girls come on up well hello everybody thank you so much for having us here tonight um a good sized group of girls here there's a few who weren't able to make it I know they are busy right now at their Club Swim practices as we speak uh one of them right
013here in Victor one of them down in the Livingston County area a lot of commitment a lot of travel and unfortunately sometimes that very same commitment and drive that allows them to achieve some of the things that are worthy of recognition like this also gets in the way of that recognition so very pleased to have the people here that we do and I know the others wish they could be here but I'm very honored and excited to be here tonight to have the opportunity to speak on behalf of Aaron de Hollander Morgan Wagner Meredith Hogan Mandy Miller Zoe presna and Eileen Kopp six extraordinary young ladies whose Praises I can't sing enough and who truly acted as the foundation in Bedrock of a season which could have been defined by flux and inconsistency if not
014for their very strong leadership this group ranges in age from freshman to senior and an experience from primarily High School athlete to seasoned Club veteran boasting anywhere between two and six years of tenure with our Varsity program they run the full gamut this unique combination of personalities talents and backgrounds lent itself to a very special and difficult to replicate core around which we were able to construct a truly remarkable team this season three years ago the Victor women's team won its first sectional event since 2016 taking the title in the 200 freestyle relay in the three years since Victor has won 16 of a total 33 swimming events at the class a championship meet this group of swimmers is the latest to add to that incredible statistic amassing five wins out of the 11 swimming
015events at this year's meet including our fourth consecutive 200 freestyle relay title the athletes being recognized tonight accounted for over 78 percent of our team's total sectional points boasting a pair of second place finishes and three third place finishes to complement their five victories and as I was doing some of that math today I realized that if these athletes being recognized swam as a team unto themselves they would have finished third at the class a championship meet alone which is pretty remarkable it's a streak of success that I never would have had the audacity to imagine when I took over as Steward of this program six years ago and it's one that these athletes have taken great care to preserve and to pass along two weeks after their incredible sectional performance they along with teammates
016Emma Wood and Morgan worthy went on to compete at the New York state championship meet where they again acquitted themselves tremendously Aaron de Hollander and Zoe president both made the podium in their individual events Aaron's finishing 8th and 10th in the 200 I am 100 breaststroke while Zoe finished 10th in the hundred backstroke shattering her own School record along the way Meredith Hogan also earned finals birds in her two individual events ultimately finishing 12th in the 200 freestyle as a sophomore the medley relay finished 11th while the 400 free relay finished fifth and in an incredibly exciting race the 200 freestyle relay finished second in the state for the second consecutive season dropping nearly a full second from their winning sectional time all of these incredible performances resulted in a third place overall finish among
017Public Schools Victor's best results at a state championship in the history of the program and Far and Away the best finish of any team in section five the competitive accolades of these young ladies obviously speak for themselves they played a central role in a season that was full of relearning and rebalancing on my part and through all of that they remained focused and strong it's not the records the points nor the awards that I'll carry away from this season however as I have almost come to expect by now it is the ability of these athletes to inherit a tremendously High bar and to set out time and time again to improve upon the results of their predecessors however daunting a task that may be that I will remember the most about them acting as stewards
018of a program with this much competitive energy is no small feat and these ladies have proven themselves equal to that task at every turn I could not be more proud of them and I'm incredibly grateful to have been along for the ride as they achieved great things for themselves and for the program girls congratulations on all of your well-earned success and thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you've done for me for Section Five and for the Victor program this season thank you very much so yeah right here [Applause] the poet coach Brett leader such a always always loved listening to Brett when he has his speeches um so before I bring up our cheerleaders and Coach she told me she's not going to speak but she's going to speak I heard
019I heard during the prior presentation there's no uh greater support system with the parents and guardians but if you ever come to a cheerleading competition the gold army is like Second To None um in every athletic director that's hosting an event goes oh my God they are so loud but it's great we love it we love it let's bring up our class double a fall Champion cheerleaders come on up thank you okay so I'm gonna keep this short um we're still in season we're lucky enough to be able to have two seasons um with the same exact group of girls which never usually happens so we're very lucky and we're still um working towards some goals for this winter this team um they just had good energy in chemistry from the start they act like
020a family they act like sisters they fight like sisters they love each other like sisters and when we started in August at Camp they really just set the tone they started doing skills that we never thought that we would be capable of this year um and we got home and we all had the same goal in mind and that was sectionals so every single week they actually went undefeated week to week First Place Grand Champs at every competition they attended which was a lot of pressure walking into sectionals but we treated it like every other weekend and they went to sectionals they won and they did get the highest score that day as well which is almost unheard of to have a season like that and it really was all on them their practices the
021energy the way they speak to each other the way they push each other they surprised Alyssa and I day in and day out and we just felt very very lucky to have this group of girls and we are very lucky to have the same exact group going into winter season as Dewey said our parents are second to none they make us feel safe at a competition when we look up and we see the sea of gold in their support Dewey's office and Dewey Beyond lucky to have them in their support and we always say Victor is the best of the best all the way from the board down to the teachers siesto the kids everything through and through the parents and everything so we also feel lucky that we're a two season Sport and we
022get to do this all over again so hopefully we'll be back here again thank you so much everyone for the recognition [Applause] congratulations [Applause] foreign [Applause] all right thank you let's raise the roof one more time for all this Talent huh congratulations to all um now we're going to take a brief break we're going to reconvene in the boardroom the rest of our meeting won't be this exciting but you're all welcome to attend if you would like or not your choice but we'll reconvene just in a few minutes thank you thank you again foreign okay we are going to reconvene here in the regular boardroom I'll um just read this one more time because we're in a different location in case of a fire would everyone please follow the exit signs to the outside of
023the building please stay completely clear the buildings that provide space for any fire department Vehicles also before we move on to the superintendent's update I want you to know that there are clipboards at the back for anyone who would like to sign up to speak and I want to read this also although the board's work is open to the public this is not a meeting with the public at this time or not now but after uh the superintendent's update will uh the privilege of the floor is offered to those who have signed up to speak and I'd be happy to recognize those of you who wish to speak when you approach the microphone please identify yourself before presenting your thoughts individual comments will be limited to three minutes and the total time for this portion
024of the agenda will be limited to 30 minutes please note issues related to specific School District Personnel or students must be brought to the attention of the superintendent of schools privately as they are not discussable at this venue so you have an opportunity to sign up at the back of the room if you wish to speak so um item number four is the superintendent's update um Dr terranova please thank you Mr DeLucia welcome everybody uh first and foremost just a big uh congratulations to all the students that we uh the board recognized a few minutes ago uh what a fantastic group just speaks to the comprehensive education we have in our district so I love having that in the auditorium every few months to recognize just uh the accomplishments of our kids I want to
025do I do want to speak briefly about the incident last week first and foremost I want to thank Sheriff pavaro from the Ontario County Sheriff's Department for joining me on the Facebook live on Tuesday evening I think we had approximately 180 viewers live and I know many more have watched since then it's probably the best source of information regarding the incident that you can go to it's still on our Facebook page so I'd encourage you to watch it if you haven't been able to see it but I want to thank the sheriff for for really coming on with us for almost an hour to really speak about just the overall Safety and Security of the district I also understand that as a school we have everybody's most precious Commodities in our care for a long
026period during the day so obviously Safety and Security of of of their of our children as well as certainly our staff is first and foremost in our priorities as a school district which is why I just want to outline a few things that I've said multiple times probably over the last week first and foremost we have a really strong emergency safety plan in place for a variety of incidents that may occur in a district this size we are also constantly reviewing it and revising it to make it stronger the public really needs to know that that work is ongoing in fact recently because of the hiring of our coordinator of District safety and various security Personnel across the district we were able to do a security audit of the district that we're analyzing right now
027and making improvements as we speak so we have a strong emergency procedures in place we also have great as as I mentioned earlier communication with our police force and First Responders starting with our Ontario County Sheriff's Department so we are in constant communication with them we have a great professional relationship and we definitely trust their judgment and have worked collaboratively with them for a long time and certainly that came to fruition the past week in addition to that we have many of our parents who work in law enforcement and era's First Responders which is a huge advantage to us so that includes the state police the County government as well as ATF agents we have a variety of individuals that our parents in our district that definitely give us advice and and obviously have a
028significant concern about children's safety because their kids go here so it's a huge advantage to us third I can't underestimate or overestimate whatever the right word is the importance of the relationships we have between our staff and our students our staff does an amazing job to build those relationships and that really lens to trust with over four thousand kids and that's where we really can not only build those relationships especially in the tough times to keep that relationship going when kids are struggling but also get information from our students if they see something or hear something that's uh concerning to them and that's a really important piece to our overall Safety and Security so we have the emergency plans in place we have a great relationship with our police and First Responders and probably just
029as important if not most important it's that relationship with our staff and our students and our parents that are critically important to maintaining a safe environment with that in mind this all they all go together when we receive some type of threat or perceived threat either from an individual or individuals we first again the great news is we get the information as quickly as possible because of uh either the intelligence of working with thousands of kids and staff members to get that information but also that relationship with the police force we then have a threat assessment team that manages the situation and evaluates immediately the level of the threat and then works collaboratively with our school district in law enforcement to make further decisions around it obviously if it's an individual student sometimes kids have
030conflicts with one another if it's if it's individual in relationship to to an individual we don't communicate to the entire District about those events those are Communications between parents and the individual students but if the threat is something that is greater in nature than a than an individual or a couple individual students then certainly we will I will communicate with the public about it whether it was perceived or not and whether it ends up being something significant or not if there's a threat out there that's out in the public that we've dealt with will communicate the information to the public as soon as we can and that's a critical process that we continue to use and work very effectively in my opinion the past week and of course none of that diminishes the respect we
031have for our parents they're our child's most important teachers first teachers and certainly parents have the right in any situation to make sure their child is safe and we will work collaboratively with them every time so that's just a brief update of the concept around Safety and Security in our district we continue to work on that and I certainly reach out to myself if you have any questions or concerns at any time either via email or phone just a couple other quick updates I met with the Wayne figure like superintendents this past week as well as leaders from the New York State Council of superintendents about New York State funding for next year there's actually good news out there we have significantly more state aid this year than we did last year because they are
032more fully funding our state formula in the past we've gotten around 50 percent of what we're supposed to get now we're closer to a much higher percentage and then next year they have promised us to fully fund our state aid formula which would also increase our state aid that's great news the challenge is going to be after 23-24 trying to get a get a readout how much the state is going to continue to increase our state aid based upon inflation and that's that's a bit of an unknown right now and that's something that we continue working with the board to Advocate with our legislators and state leadership around because we want to continue to get our share of state aid that is necessary to run this District successfully we've certainly come a long way in
033the last three years financially and the good news is we have people working for us to make sure that state aid is appropriate moving forward and last I don't want us to forget our strategic plan those guiding principles that drive us every day certainly we need to deal with immediate situations at hand but we also have to look forward to our goals and and focus areas in the next three to five years tonight you're going to hear from our special education leadership team who's going to update us on some great progress that have been made that's been made in our special education department as well as our pupil Services Department that's really important and speaks to the work being done through our strategic plan by this group you're also going to hear a budget update
034from our assistant superintendent Derek Felice that's a main focus area of all three pillars in our uh in our strategic plan whether it's teaching and learning culture or students supports and opportunities this is going to be the beginning presentation on our budget process that will lead to further presentations as we refine next year's school budget and then lastly we're not presenting on this tonight but I'm very excited about the diversity equity and inclusion committee District y committee that's being formed in the next couple weeks I believe we had somewhere between 50 and 60 applicants from across the community and I know that our district council which is one of our major shared decision making bodies in the district work this week to whittle that number down to somewhere between 20 and 30 individuals to to
035be a part of that equity and inclusion committee we're also going to utilize individuals who reached out to be a part of the committee but aren't able to be a part of it to try to also do some work in conjunction with our committee so we're gonna have a lot more updates on that and certainly equity and inclusion is a major Focus again across all three of our pillars and we look forward to the work that that group's going to do so that's my superintendent's update for this month Mr DeLucia thank you Dr terranova now I need to know if there's anyone who is signed on the clipboard I'm sorry oh sure yeah doctor general I just with regard to your update and I appreciate the the thoroughness of it every time when you were
036speaking about the Safety and Security I would just like to say that I I'm very appreciative of the Victor community you the previous VCS Boards of Ed and this board who have prioritized it to make certain that there's an SRO in this district and that continuing relationship so I think that's great Community Support that we get when we're doing the budget each year your leadership and previous people who have sat on this board as well that that's a good thing so thank you all right thank you um no one signed up but it looks like we have one speaker can you go to the podium and tell us who you are and my name is Jack Buckner uh just one quick question and I understand what the doctor said about his safety program does that
037mean if you can tell the group here are you going to add additional resource officers armed resource officers will say in your program or are you just going to leave like we'll say one uh Brittany I believe right is that correct yeah is that correct yeah well typically we don't have a conversation but I think we'll answer this one because it's part of I I wrote down all of his notes but I'm just saying are you going to add more for security are you satisfied with one armed one no we have been the other program other people to back it up we'll say we have additional so I'm going to let my superintendent describe what is currently in place thank you yeah so um currently we have uh Brittany Arnold our school resource officer we
038also have Mr Steve's lavny our coordinator of District security and that this is the first year of having that position we've also added three uh security officers full-time security officers during the day and we are also in addition to that Contracting out with a security company to add security for uh afternoons and evenings and also to try to supplement during the day as needed certainly um in addition to that this year we are also for this year looking at potentially adding an additional security person either through uh Contracting out with a security company or adding our own for the second shift so to speak the 3 to 10 pm shift and then certainly during the budget process and Staffing discussions we have for next school year uh the the review of our security staff and
039potential needs to increase it will be will be a main subject area of those discussions and we're going to have updates about that certainly throughout January February and March so that's the process we use but we are always evaluating the need for additional security moving forward okay we'll see right all right thanks thank you for your questions okay item six excuse me item six on our agenda is acceptance of consent items I have six a through I so I first need a motion for to accept these consent items please a motion by Debbie second Lisa any comments or questions on any of these in fact I don't actually have any comments about the Personnel agenda this month okay it's a great agenda all right any other comments questions seeing none all in favor say aye
040aye aye any opposed extensions motion carried thank you okay we are at 7A campus news let's hear from someone it's the one and only again all right everybody uh Brian Seattle principal at the Victor senior high school I'm going to start with something that seems like a small news item but actually I think is really big to the students because For the first time in probably close to 10 years this weekend we're going to host a Grade 9 through 12 dance on Saturday night we've gone away from it we went away from that about 10 years ago but the student council really advocated they said Mr Seattle so we really want to have a dance as a school so they they were really thoughtful and how they presented it to me I said you know
041what we'll give it a shot so Saturday we're going to have a dance from seven to nine I think we've sold a few hundred tickets so so far we've got a large number of chaperones are going to be coming so the kids are excited so we're excited to have this it just kind of shows the power of students and their voice when when they advocate for something that they present in a really organized manner so we're excited for this yes I'm very excited right here in the first world yeah Aaron definitely is um she's a great example I'm going to go off the coffee great example of student voice because uh she actually convinced one of our staff members to take over as our yearbook uh supervisor we didn't have one because the staff member
042had left so Aaron was a bulldog to Mr Coughlin and now he's our new yearbook supervisor or so this is proof positive right here of of the power of students so well done to you Aaron I want to say a big thank you to our Mayor Gary Hadden and Kathy Rayburn and the Victor Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring the third annual holiday parade last Saturday from five to six pm uh there were first responder vehicles from across the Victor Farmington area once again and there were about a couple dozen vehicles from the class of 2023 so the weather held out and we cannot be more appreciative of the local community for finding ways to honor our First Responders in this year's senior class and I want to just highlight that this week our Deca group
043is going to be going to Regional competition at RIT and then after regionals it'll be the state competition and then the international competition later in the spring and finally I want to end this on a really good note our librarian Danielle Westbrook had the idea of trying to establish a pen pal system between some high school students and the students at the elementary level like old school pen pal like where you write on paper and you deliver letters so she proposed this idea to the Librarians at the primary and the intermediate schools and asked them to talk to some teachers that they thought might be willing to do this so one of our English teachers Deb McManus paired up with Marcy Hooper a second grade teacher is that right honey okay so here so it
044was really sorry so it was really good Marcy brought her class up to the high school yesterday and I'm going to let Heidi fill in some other details but I also want to say that there were some comments some kids made some comments to Marcy I got to make sure that these get on the record one of her students said my pen pal said love you and I said it back and I felt so happy inside are you am I stealing your quotes do you have the other three my favorite one I want to have a sleepover with my pen pal so uh in any events sorry uh Deb McManus class are they're all paired up now with uh primary uh grades so I just want to say thank you this is the benefit of
045going first so all right thank you okay no fighting over there okay for Heidi to come up next but um good evening my name is Laura Westerman I'm the assistant principal at the junior high school there's been several great things to highlight in our building this month um most recently our positive connections Club started a cop being kind program we have had over 60 submissions in the first week of us implementing this students and teachers can recognize other classmates or staff for displaying kindness by completing a Google form the information from which is then displayed on a bulletin board in the hallway and in talking with a staff today they reported that most referrals have actually been made by students to recognize other students which I think is a really powerful way to kind of
046build you know student recognition within our building given the big response this past week we're looking for a second space to use because we've already run out of room on our first bulletin board because we want to continue to acknowledge all that our students are doing as they're being caught being kind it's also been an exciting month for our Music Department we've had winter concerts over the last two weeks and our students did a wonderful job with their chorus band and Orchestra performances it was also great to see so many families come and enjoy the performances as well this week our faculty meeting focused on professional development for teachers exploring social and emotional learning primarily focusing on the SEL core competency of building relationship skills our staff explored a variety of resources to intentionally plan
047an upcoming opportunity within their classroom to support students in developing the skill as we build capacity among our staff with this work it's directly aligning with our building goals as well and lastly I would like to thank our PTSA for bringing the Jolly Trolley to our building tomorrow when I left the junior high our PTSA was still working to prepare a cart filled with treats to travel around tomorrow and thank our staff for all that they do thank you nice good evening I'm Ashley sicola principal at the intermediate building during the month of November Vis students and staff focused on the character trait gratitude in classrooms playground cafeteria hallways buses we reflected and celebrated gratitude together we also spent time talking to students about service and helping others our VCS social workers including Vis social
048worker Stephanie newford lease worked with local businesses to supply Thanksgiving food baskets for VCS families our student council led by sixth grade teacher Kathleen habbecker coordinated a Thanksgiving food drive for the Victor Farmington food cupboard to supply Thanksgiving packages to local families last month we also welcomed back musical performances at Vis after the holiday break the Victor Rhythm machine vrm greeted intermediate students with a performance of tick-tock shock and hey hey Jam as students enter the building the vrm is a group of auditions sixth graders who perform on xylophones and drums it was a perfect way to re-enter the building after the break we are also looking forward to our next musical performance which is next week our orchestra concert and finally as we began parent teacher conferences earlier today I want to thank our
049teachers staff members parents and students for partnering together to discuss student progress as a team I know this time of year is busy and I appreciate the collaborative effort it takes to prioritize these important conversations as I was making the rounds shortly before coming over tonight I was leaving us or walking by a sixth grade classroom and one of the families was leaving one of our sixth graders was doing a student-led conference she was with her dad and there was a sibling with them as well and they were leaving the classroom and as they're walking away um the daughter was looking up at her dad and he said you're doing such a great job in the classroom and your teacher is just so nice and she just started beaming um with a huge smile on
050her face and it kind of just captures um you know a piece of of how important these conferences are especially when we're able to involve our oldest Learners and leading the conferences so a great start to our parent-teacher conferences tonight as well thank you next job will next month will do a better job at communicating I feel like so much it has been uh spoken about already last night our third graders six of our third grade classes were able to perform for families during the day they performed for the school which was one of the first times the whole school not the whole school we did in two sections were together which was really exciting uh two concerts again last night three in each group and each group got to sing five songs they played
051the ORF instruments and it was one of the sweetest things you will ever see it was just beautiful and we can't wait until May when the rest of our third graders get to perform it was really a great time today our parent teacher conferences started and families they'll continue to come in tomorrow and then again next Friday and it really is a special time for our teachers and for our families and our students because it's when we all come together to really celebrate that progress and also that time to collaborate to really support students and to support our Learners at the building the last thing I wanted to share is what Brian shared and um you know I guess the fact that we both picked this out is something is really pretty remarkable our second
052grade students were so excited I bet if you asked any of them in that classroom it was the highlight of their week and unfortunately I couldn't go up with the class but I heard all about it when the little girl she said I told my pen pill that I loved her just precious but in addition to that it's really sparked writing for some of these second graders because they enjoy writing to their pen pals so thank you to Brian for partnering with some of our youngest Learners and I look forward to more ways to partner our students across this campus if I don't see you before the holiday season have a great holiday with you and your family thank you good evening my name is Rob DeRose the principal at the Early Childhood school here
053in Victor there's been so many positive moments in our school over the past month of these many highlights were the Thanksgiving feasts that took place in our school on Tuesday November 22nd our school was filled with so many loving families excited children and proud teachers students had a time to share their gratitude with their friends recite a poem about thankfulness and practice singing a song aloud about how much they love and appreciate what goes on in our school and in their lives and in our community and then it finished off with a healthy snack so to I wanted to extend some gratitude to our kindergarten and first grade teachers our custodial staff who helped make sure this could happen Mrs Reynolds our assistant principal without that team this really couldn't have taken place parent-teacher conferences
054as Heidi mentioned I've been going on today we're looking forward to more tomorrow as well as next Friday these meetings like she said almost exactly I mentioned that they're a great opportunity for us to collaborate with our fellow our families celebrate all that's happened as well let's discuss any next steps to ensure that the remainder of the 22-23 school year is a success coming up in January our incredible PTSA will be hosting a family event here at the ECS students will be coming in pajamas eating popcorn and watching a family movie in our Auditorium so Mr CSO is looking forward to a dance here at the ECS it's a family movie night and we're really excited about having an event here in our school again in the near coming weeks lastly I'd like to just
055mention that coming up in early January it's hard to believe but it's the beginning of the upk registration process for our VCS families for children who are four years old by December 1st 2023 any family who's interested in the upk program at the ECS can find all registration information on the Victor schools website and the upk lottery will take place in early February and I wish everyone here and out in the audience a wonderful holiday season thank you thank you okay that was uh campus news with a little bit of fun news competition it was fun to watch thank you so much everyone 7B management Plan update on special education good evening everyone I'm Karen Ryan I'm the supervisor for um oh my goodness that was my old title sorry I am the assistant superintendent
056for um pupil Services here in Victor schools and we are pleased to be here tonight to share with you our special education update hi I'm Shannon Mark and I'm the director of secondary special ed hi I'm Amanda Tripp I'm the director of Elementary special education and tonight we will be sharing with you um across the three pillars of where our special education Focus has been we'll be looking at culture we'll be looking at learning and instruction and we'll be looking at the students of supports and opportunities can you hear us there sorry thank you so last month when we presented we looked through the lens of the pillar of instruction and culture and we really anchored our discussion and our supports around how our psychologists school counselors and school social workers support the mtss and
057RTI model really looking at that right hand side of the umbrella where our social emotional behavioral supports lie we talked to you about that tiered level of support and and how we were supporting both our students our families and our staff in that area and tonight we're going to start with culture around our special education program so as we came in as a whole new leadership team we knew that our first job we really felt that this was a priority for us to get to know the current team here in Victor so we did this through many different informal meetings and a lot of continuous meetings that we're still having with teachers throughout our work every day in the schools we planned surveys that were sent out initially but we really knew that it was
058important for us to get to know the team including our students psychologists school counselors social workers and special education staff I so our first pillar that we supported um through the management plan work has been really around the culture um working with our teams to develop that common belief system to ensure that we have some alignment across our K-12 Continuum of what we really believe are is the ultimate success for all of our students while working together to develop that common belief system we really focused on making sure that we were supporting a shared decision-making process where we were problem solving together as a team with everyone's voice at the table being heard through our work in building relationships with our team we really created that welcoming environment across all the different layers of supports
059and you know at the end of the day we've spent a lot of time celebrating our success the success of our students they have every single day and that our staff do as well student achievement has been at the heart of many of our decisions this year and our conversations with staff and with parents and we started and we still are really looking at our special education data in terms of how are our students doing compared to their peers with the Benchmark data we've collected the fall data we'll be giving Mid Winter benchmarks and our goal is to really look at what growth are they're making and that data informs the Continuum of services and the programs that we offer for our students we're also assessing our instructional programming how are we aligned in partnering
060with um our curriculum directors and supervisors to be able to ensure that this instruction and our specialty program is aligned to the standards and through differentiation we're ensuring that students are engaging at grade level curriculum as close as they can be and if we are in our self-contained classrooms what is that grade level curriculum that we're anchored to and how are we measuring growth for those students we're going to be doing a deep dive in into our specialized reading there's a focus in The District in terms of providing professional development to our teachers in the science of reading and we're really looking at where are our teachers trained what additional training do they need and really focused on the application of that in their daily reading practice one of our one of our toastas Caitlin
061Mack Elliott has we've are accelerating some of her BD training through Boces in the form of letters so that that application and really look at how we can inform those practices this spring and next school year for our students thank you we have four areas of focus within the student supports and opportunities pillar and we're going to be sharing some of that information about each of these components tonight so specifically we will be looking at instructional practices evaluate the Continuum of services evaluate current committee on special education process and support and training for staff so one of the first components that I'll be discussing is evaluating our current committee on special education processes and this includes a real focus on CSE norms and best practices we've looked at CSE facilitation as well as CSE roles
062we really wanted to develop consistency in regard to our CSC best practices and meetings so we've developed a district level CSE committees that are chaired by both myself at the elementary level and Shannon at the secondary level at the building level it's done by the psychologists in each of the buildings and our major focus and one of our most important Norms is that everyone has a voice and opportunity to be heard everyone's voice is Meaningful and important and then in terms of CSC procedures and paperwork we send home packets to our parents prior to a CSE meeting and those packets are developed through the work of our special education teachers as case managers and we've taken another look at that information to make sure it's not too cumbersome and want to be sure that we
063are consolidating some of that information so that's user friendly for parents and for our staff lastly we've learned a lot on our professional development opportunities so we have our tosa is going to our cpsc chairperson training we have some psychologists attending CSE chairperson trainings throughout the year we are very excited to offer um soon enough within December and January annual review training opportunities where we'll be focusing on writing compliant and quality IEPs with our all of our special ed teachers psychologists counselors across the district anyone who will have a opportunity to support our students with disabilities we also offer monthly psychologists department meetings which is a great opportunity to refine our practices and norms and we get really excited each month to do our special education department meetings and that department consists of special education
064teachers it consists of our assistive technology specialist Behavior specialist at our school psychologist so it's a great opportunity to pull together and provide more professional development so our Continuum of services is really driven by our student profiles about their strengths and about and and also their areas of need and one of the focuses that we really look at is that alignment K-12 that we offer for our students and beginning at our youngest level are we providing programs for students that engage them in grade level curriculum and does that alignment continue K-12 so that students can really achieve at the highest level and that they can reach that Region's diploma or be successful in those really post-secondary outcomes that they want to achieve and so the Continuum of services when we look at that it's also
065really looking at what are the related Services we're providing what's the delivery model of those related Services what's the caseload size of those services so that the providers have time to be able to plan Implement progress monitor at a high level in our self-contained classrooms we're really taking a look at those coordination of services are those programs supported enough to be able to support students at the highest level and what some of the professional development training we need to do within those programs when we look right now we have 539 students who are classified with an IEP 37 of those students are served outside the district our Continuum of services is very broad here in Victor and it does allow for us to support many of our students here and that's a that's a strength
066and that's a celebration we do have some gaps that we need to start to look at and we're going to be seeking some feedback from our stakeholders that's our building admin team and our teachers and those gaps would be in areas where we want to ensure there's that alignment at the youngest level that the programs that we're offering there are anchoring kids to the closest grade level curriculum we also want to ensure that our course is 912 are allowing kids to reach that Region's diploma and the courses that we're offering at 9 12 are allowing them to do that and be successful so we are going to be looking to possibly expand our Continuum of services and we look forward to giving you a little bit more information as we look a little bit that
067through this winter months and when we come back and present to you in the spring we'll have a full plan in place so our primary goal this year was really to be visible problem solvers and really work alongside the building teams to support students and staff every single day so we wanted to provide you guys with some information around how we do that we have some different means for and Amanda kind of highlighted this in her portion around working with our building teams our set team is a team that we meet weekly in every single building with our clerical team as well as our school psychologists and anyone that is really involved in the special ed IEP process and it really ensures accountability and compliance around special education and part 200 regulations so those meetings
068take place weekly where we're looking at students IEPs and making sure that we're meeting those part 200 mandates we do meet weekly and monthly with our principals in our building leadership teams to make sure that we understand their needs because they are very different across all of the different buildings in regards to what their teams need and what their students need so we work to meet with them to understand those needs and then plan accordingly we are meeting with all of our building teams just around problem solving every single day department meetings Amanda highlighted that we have our related service meetings we meet with our school psychologists social workers we do that on a very regular basis to really support that continuity across all of the building layers because what we know is that that
069that continuity and consistency is really really important for our building teams as well as our students and lastly student data meetings Amanda and I have really been alongside the school teams as they look at instructional programming and instructional recommendations for students outside of the CSE process so as we look at student data as it relates to their current grades and supports needed in the classroom we're problem solvers at the table to support those things we have been a very busy crew in departments so our teams have been learning every single day we provided a lot of training so far for the first half of the year that we're really excited about on a daily basis we have our assistive technology specialist Ashley and her behavior specialist Nate are in the buildings K-12 and they are
070working as a in a coaching role they're Consulting each and every day with our students and staff within our educational settings whether it's a special program or a special class or even in gen Ed classrooms to support students in their behavioral and communication needs and then we've periodically team up with the buildings to provide teacher Aid and teacher assistant training this occurs based on needs assessments and also occurs within the special class programs for particular students or at a level in which all the AIDS in a building might pull together to get some professional development based on what they need we have been really excited for several Transportation trainings in that beautiful building that is quite impressive and we felt a lot of support and appreciation from the transportation department and our monitors and drivers
071so we've worked to do separate meetings where we support our drivers and monitors on special Transportation runs we've literally collected routes and we've sat with teams and discussed each student individually we've gone over their supports and what's needed and shared safety plans and behavioral intervention plans in addition in a larger sense we've met with all of our bus monitors on the within the large bus runs as well and drivers so that's been a really important part of our PD development and then Section 504 plan and process trainings for for that it's been really critical that we emphasize the need for a team approach so it's not just one person creating a 504 plan it's a team and we're working to build the capacity of all the stakeholder stakeholders and involved in that process so our
072continued arid areas of focus that we're going to be working on when we look at our social emotional learning and our Panorama data we highlighted that last month in terms of how are we ensuring that our students are making growth in those competency skills we're going to be piloting resources some resources at k6 that will help our counselors Implement those tier one classroom lessons all focused on those five competencies for the social emotional learning we're going to be meeting again with our counselors and psychologists and school social workers to look at the Panorama data that we um and the Panorama tool that we rolled out in June with them and then we'll be giving a survey in January to our students that can really allow us to see what growth they've made based on the
073interventions that we put into place between September and the end of January and we'll be coordinating with buildings on that to occur that survey did occur last year for grades 4 through 12. um we're going to continue with that literacy Focus how are we applying the professional development of the science of reading in our instructional programs no matter what program a student is in we want to ensure that their literacy is a focus we're going to continue to pair around and focus on our mtss and RTI supports at a district level and at the building level and within our problem-solving meetings and even within CSE because those of our students who do may not qualify or found eligible for an individual education plan we want our families to leave those meetings knowing that there's plans
074and supports and resources in place and students who have IEPs oftentimes do tap into a math lab or a reading Lab at a building level so we really need to coordinate our Communications around that and the services we provide for all students and lastly we're going to continue to really look at that PPS data that individual student growth so that we know that our programs in special education are meeting the needs of our students so we would like if you have any questions you want to ask us we'd be happy to answer them board members are questions I just wanted to say thank you that's very informative I personally recognize many improvements that have been implemented so I appreciate that and and thank you for the good work that you're all doing now any questions
075from folks Debbie throughout your presentation which was really very very informative you kept referring to we meet with we meet with does that mean like the three of you would those big Team all of us yeah yeah our goal really was is we came into these rules we wanted to be that instructional leaders we wanted to be the support to the building so as much as Amanda and Shannon meet with building principles I meet with them as well and we do oftentimes do joint meetings to do some problem solving um so that the buildings are supported and the needs that are rising at that time we can problem solve you know in an efficient way so that kids can get back on track if they're struggling thank you other questions well it is our pleasure
076to serve in this role and we really appreciate question is more of a I was while you were doing I was multitasking and looking back through the notes from your presentation on um academic support for all students in social emotional for all students in in a word outstanding as far as the thoroughness that you've all put into this I very much enjoy the the level to which you drill down and present in the idea of the continued areas of focus and identifying those I think is a great support for all of our students and staff and thank you for asking the question on Hulu that's I mean that's a Herculean task as well so thank you thank you other comments thanks for turning oh yes 7c review of the 2023-2024 budget Financial strategies and goals
077thank you yep thank you my name is Derek Felice I'm the assistant superintendent for business uh December usually marks the time where school districts start looking at their budget it's sort of the budget planning so just to give the board an update of a reminder of what our goals are usually when we develop this the budget and how we plan to go about so uh we'll start off with the budget calendar as a reminder I know it was approved a board meeting or two ago we'll review the goals how we're going to go about tackling the the budget development process and then uh what the calendar looks like here on out so uh today we review the goal and then on January 12th you will receive the almost empty budget book you'll have all the
078tabs but you will have the first section of the budget book which we will go over which will be the transportation department and then on January 26th we'll look at operation and maintenance that also has a little bit of security plan in there uh Thursday February 9th we will start looking at revenues including the the Baseline of the property tax calculation hopefully we have uh some factors that are determined by New York State such as the growth rate factor and the CPI is already determined that's already at two percent but we will we'll work through the tax cap calculations and review it and make a determination of what the tax limit is uh in February 16th uh non-personnel budget so we'll go through the buildings outside of operations and maintenance and transportation start making a
079final decision on the tax cap calculation because on March 1st uh we have to file the preliminary tax cap calculation we're not held to it but you you filed it with the state comptrollers on where you're looking uh on March 9th we'll have a Personnel update from Mrs D'Angelo and March 23rd a final budget based on known State numbers as a reminder state aid New York State's budget does not have to be adopted until April 1st hopefully we have a a pretty good sense of where the budget is going to land and it could potentially be adopted by that time I'm not holding my breath on that one though on April 13th the Board of Education will adopt the budget on the 14th that is the final day for any Community member who's looking to
080run for the Board of Education to submit their petition to Marine in the district office April 17th we will draw the Board of Education names in the order in which they will appear on the ballot on April 24th we have to file a property tax report card May 2nd is a budget hearing this is a requirement within 14 days you have a big public hearing to review the budget and have an opportunity for public to ask questions May 9th in district office we will hold a voter registration because we do not have poll registration so you have to register ahead of time and then on May 16th it would is the budget vote so when we work to develop the budget as a district these are the main areas that we always like to reflect
081back on which is to maintain the comprehensive education that the VCS District Community has come to expect improve and align the resources towards the district's strategic plan we've spent a lot of time and a lot of money trying to align the uh the district and develop a district plan so we need to make sure that we have the budgetary resources uh allocated appropriately to align with that plan maintain a stabilization of Reserves maximize the use of every dollar maximizes the ability to generate aid for future years and of course transparency so between now and in the end of January I I am looking to meet with building principles and other administrators to begin conversations about the non-personnel items and budget requests and then from there have the administrators meet with their teams to determine budget
082considerations type of some things that I have heard coming up as they were talking about field trips and other types of activities and initiatives that the buildings may have start getting a general sense of what they're looking for get a a work with the buildings to develop a plan to meet with the groups to identify what they would like to see included in the budget uh and then in the meantime I'm going to work on the rollover budget and that's just taking all the contracts that we have in place uh make adjustments based off of increasing the health insurance uh fluctuations in the pension costs increase in salaries because we don't run calendar year we run fiscal year um and it just maintaining the the already existing equipment and supplies just to have a baseline
083for the rollover budget before we determine the Gap in revenue and expenses to see what we can grow on uh Mrs D'Angelo will meet with building principles and other other administrators regarding Personnel requests for the year so that all happens during December through January and then in February and March uh I'm going to continue watching for state aid numbers for the upcoming year again we're hoping that we can get a really good idea sometime middle to late March on what state aid will be uh District administration reviews the priorities and discuss Personnel editions for next year um it's really hard to do that until we get that number so that's why it's towards the end and then a final meeting with building principals and administrators on non-personnel increases based on projective Revenue after we lay
084in any other Personnel needs that the district has identified so that is the process between now and March is for any questions about that this is Palumbo just say that the CPI was already set at two percent yes so it's a reflection going looking back and because inflation in the pre in the early months were so high that it's the CPI it's capped at two percent so that coin term of a two percent tax cap they're really talking about the CPI so it's capped at two percent and because the for beginning months of the year were so high that it's already at two percent and that's the limit any other questions others okay thank you oh oh so in April we'll finalize the revenues uh and again New York state does not adopt their budget
085until April 1st and then we'll meet with cabinet members on final adjustments to the budget pending those final state aid numbers so usually middle of March we have it and then in the last couple years state aid has come in real late with some type of fluctuation so we have to figure out how to spend those last few dollars or maybe make some possible Cuts depending on how that state aid number comes out um hopefully it's more so that's final ones so just a quick review of the calendar next time we see each other you'll you will have a at your place a binder with the tabs and transportation already ready and then each subsequent meetings I'll we will continue to provide you sheets to update your budget books if there's any revisions you will
086have sheets we look to put like page numbers on the bottom so it's easier for you to identify what pages to swap out because this is a it's very fluid until you guys adopt the budget in April we got to work through the the tax cap in February into March Personnel update in March um and again a lot of Revenue numbers any other questions on that yes calendar review page yes absolutely just that slide please you want the first slide no what no that one yes absolutely will do the last one we took off today here so yep absolutely no problem all right thanks Lisa expression okay item 7D is approved the following field trips we have three of them grade 7 through 12 Winter Guard to Bethlehem Pennsylvania 317 through 319 of 23. to
087participate in Regional competition the second one is grade 7 through 12 Winter Guard to Dayton Ohio from 412 to 4 16 23 to participate in World Championships and then the third one is varsity football team to Clinton New York from 7 16 to 7 19 23 to participate in a football camp you've all received information about these field trips so I need a motion first to approve these Emotion by Elizabeth second second um Christopher any comments or questions no okay all in favor uh say aye aye aye any opposed extensions motions carried thank you item 7e is the policy review the first reading of the following policy relationship with booster organizations policy one two two you've all received those and had a chance to look at them any questions regarding what has been presented so
088far it's my understanding that this was revised just for Simplicity this particular policy yeah the boosters yeah we uh we actually sought out some legal input on it and uh a couple things one we actually had things in the original policy that are not necessarily enforceable so uh we need to get rid of the stuff that we it's not really able to do but we also wanted to add some legal protections as well as Title IX protections which is why we've got some additions in it there on the last paragraph it just says that booster proposed plans Etc and other activities must be evaluated and promoted in light of their stated contributions who would evaluate which part are you on so the very last paragraph it's still in black Print the one fundraising activities must
089conform that will not if you go further further down the paragraph begins with booster organizations wishing to make and then you go drop down to the next line I don't know what is she looking at this the last paragraph what's the question about the paragraph well it says um other activities must be evaluated and promoted in light of their stated contribution who would evaluate I mean would so a staff member help a booster club evaluate I just yeah I mean this is anytime um anytime we have booster clubs contributing to uh to a school district we want to make sure that we're on the same page as far as you know evaluating what they're doing in terms of the concepts related to our education basically it's a general statement are you asking like with specificity
090of is it a coach is it an athletic director is it a club moderator is it I mean Mr Belize is it it's all of those really so it's General on purpose to cover whichever group that might fall into is that boosters it could be an athletic booster so it depends could be robotics right robotics so I would assume then that this staff member who oversees that program would would be the first one to have a discussion with the booster club if they felt that maybe the activity wasn't part of their are you asking like where does the buck stop so to speak I just um plans not a final say just if if someone feels an activity isn't quite appropriate who would be the one to step in to address the issue with the
091booster that would start with the director of health physical education Athletics if it was a and they would also be tied to most likely either the junior high or high school principal the sentence that is has the red strike through underneath that last paragraph in Black starting with the board retains panel of responsibility for an authority over why was that taken out just out of curiosity why was that removed um because I think their attorney felt it was just redundant in other words the board everybody knows the board's responsible that's what I thought okay the overall okay so it doesn't need to be right stated explicitly got it yeah thank you okay any other comments all right uh next one is uh policy review second reading of the following policy use of assistance animals policy
0921499 again you all have copies with um the corrections that were made and I understand the committee met on this one as well submitted some questions on the wording and I appreciate the work that the committee did do and and further I think better defining the purpose of the policy but I do have one additional question on it if I may that under therapy dogs in the second line of the first paragraph you know it says a therapy dog well it starts in the first sentence therapy dog is defined as a dog that has been trained evaluating certified to work and then again in the next paragraph it says although there is no formal identification or therapy or certification for therapy dogs and then it goes on to State under section D that a copy
093of a certification from an AKC recognized therapy dog organization I just felt that there's something that's inconsistent with this do you want to talk about it or do you want me to go ahead okay so are you do you have a question okay I'm sorry Deb can you um so looking at that paragraph underneath the heading of therapy dogs and then looking at item D at the top of the second page you're wondering it says if although you're saying that they have to be evaluated trained evaluated and certified to work and then it says well it says the Handler is defined as the person who's trained and certified to work right but a dog that has been trained evaluated and certified and then it says although there is no formal identification it's are you saying
094so we have to put in like informal it just totally contradictory I think what I think what the thought was is that it the words for purposes of this policy were defining what a therapy dog is there is no formal identification of of or certification for that but we're defining it as this that's why we have for the purposes of this policy we also require the certified American Kennel Club to be recognized the other thing too is with service service dogs as opposed to therapy dogs service dogs or service animals usually wear something that signifies either the harness or a vest or something that like when you see this animal you know that it is a service dog it's trained to do a specific job for a specific individual and therapy dogs don't have anything
095outwardly that they wear to show either like a harness or a vest or you know tag that delineates that they are a therapy dog they're trained to do um therapy work but as opposed to a service animal that has you know very identifiable um visible pieces on its body like between things that it wears or the equipment that the Handler would use that sounds reasonable but still it says although there was no formal identification or certification yet it refers in the body that there is a certification required the way that I read that as we were saying is it's saying there's no formal or however the AKC does do it so it's not considered a formal National but the AKC still does a certification recognition and they're two separate yes one of them you have
096to be identified by the AKC and it's actually quite extensive training program there's certain number of hours required that you have to document it's actually a whole different thing um whereas you know in this in the service or in the emotional support dog that's the owner generally will get the search the certificate there's generally a certificate given to the actually the owner as and the dog is certified to the owner gotcha so they're two different purposes and then that would be the certification that the district So based on which type of dog it is and what their purposes would be either the the AKC certified which is a very very extensive you can't even start that until a dog is a certain age is over a year old it's very extensive they have to actually
097have certain hours that are clocked in you know documented you have to go through a program you have it's it's I checked into it so I know it's a very extensive um in those cases it's the the actual dog so that dog can go into nursing homes into schools and you know whereas emotional support dog is someone that's the specific to the actual owner the owner has the actual documentation of the dog the dog will be um specific to the owner so it's their own they would have to have documentation showing that that dog has been identified as an emotional support dog for that specific individual due to and that's it requires a doctor's intervention to State the medical need but that's both ways are documentation but they're totally different levels of certification and needs
098for certification okay I will accept it as written as presented okay moving on then to G so we are under 7g policy review second and final reading the following policy one complaints about curricula or instructional materials policy it's policy number one four two zero we will be voting on whether we adopt this policy are there any discussion items yeah yeah right well then we will I'm looking for a motion to vote on 7g Elizabeth second Lisa any discussion all those in favor of adopting policy 1420 complaints about curricula or instructional materials all those in favor say aye aye opposed abstentions so carried all right moving on to meeting reports Monroe County School Board Association committee reports standing committee reports Dei will start with Monroe County School Board Association committee reports does anybody have any yes
