Administrative and Supervisory Association? Thank you, Susan. Anybody from the Lancaster Support Staff Association? Good evening. Uh we just have a few special recognitions that we'd like to share tonight. First, we would just like to congratulate our students. Thank you. And our Project Lead the Way has been a phenomenal program. Next, we're going to take a moment to thank our students and staff tonight right before our spring recess. And also, we would like to thank the teachers, administrators, and students that worked collaboratively to make this night a huge success. From Project Lead the Way, the Science Honor Society, and our students at the high school, to the art, music, and tech teachers at the middle school, and William Street, our students and parents alike had a great time. And I even had one student say that
they can't wait to do art class again at the middle school. So, this is something that we were talking about all the night. And finally, the LCT I'd like to recognize Alexis Plaiks in the middle school English department. Alexis will be receiving the Early Career Award presented by the Western New York Network of English Teachers at the 2026 English Educator Award Ceremony. She was nominated by one of her student's parents. And in the nomination, the parent wrote, "Alexis Alexis Plaiks was my grade English teacher last year. My daughter was excited about English class every day. She liked listening listening to the class presentations in the morning. They were fun, interactive games to discuss. Mrs. Knight was always there for the students. She would take time to help every individual so that they all felt comfortable
in the classroom. The classroom environment The classroom environment encouraged my child's growth and confidence as well as her abilities as a learner. Mrs. Knight's passion for teaching helped her kids turn around my daughter's seventh grade year. For that, I am ever grateful. The parent also commented Mrs. Knight is involved in many things in the middle school community as well. At the school, she runs the Owl Post, which is the middle school's newspaper club. There, the students brainstorm, create, edit, and publish their own quarterly school newspaper. In class, Mrs. Knight also uses student feedback to make any necessary changes to her own curriculum. She often asks students to reflect on previous activities and share their honest feedback. So, we can say electric slide in both areas. Hey, Mrs. Knight. Um I actually attended the keynote I
was invited by a couple of teachers to go and I found it incredibly done. He was also the head of the show along with the whole team. Uh show along and writing the book was really really cool for the whole entire team. Anybody from the Lancaster Association of Teachers Association? Anybody from the Lancaster Association of Substitute Teachers? 8.0 Board of Trustees, does anybody have anything to report? 9.0 Superintendent's Administrative Report, I will turn it over to Dr. Cruz. Thank you and good evening, members of the board. Um I will say our school is on the right track. We were in front of 10,000 people this season. I also say that I didn't tell the last time I talked about that last time. So, I'm going to leave it there. So, we'll see in a few
more minutes today. Some of the wonderful things happening throughout the school year this time of year, as always, but it does feel like it picks up significantly when March comes around. So, I'm excited about some of the things. As you would probably know this, as you drove in, depending on where you're coming from, on William Street, we have construction going on. And they've been moving ahead and doing some great work over the years. So, the new part of William Street is taking shape. I think 30% of the brick is already up. So, when our students get back in William Street, I'm not sure what it's going to be like. At the December board meeting, our children were going to sing a song at the beginning of the year. We talked about coffee and coffee treats
for those who attend. Well, our legendary Wachusett will be serving our construction workers, our construction workers, etc., etc. Coffee treats a couple of weeks ago to give a great show of support for them. And I know the real highlight of the WWE is when they're hired on the other side of the wall in the new building. That was a good highlight. It also shows how our kids really benefited from the new building here at William Street here at NDI. They put experiences in mind and they showed incredible success. I've never seen a parking lot like that happen. That was awesome. All the highlights were because they were off my page because I really loved it there by office doctor. Some people say, "I'm so excited for my kids to be able to have that experience
in the new building." And in fourth grade or seventh grade or sixth or first grade, and the biggest highlight, right? So many good things this year for our ministry and preparing the students. Um family of the older students working with the younger students. Finding about how excited they were for high school and how they felt in the middle of high school and how excited they were for high school after a huge huge year of that undertaking this Unified I just can't Unified hope to take part in this today. It's awesome every time I watch it you can't not smile. Um Thursday is this class. Um Unified also teacher appreciation day. So it's at 5:30 to 7:30 so you have the opportunity to go check it out at the high school. And we'll see you there
again this Tuesday for halftime because I know that the kiddos love to dance a little bit with anybody who wants to join. Excuse me again. Um I got some fabulous talking on the way in with Mr. Riley, Mr. Austin, Mr. Miller a little bit about Matthew and Patrick. Um talking about the festival last last time we chatted. Um Kelly Ann Rose and the students who ran the Unified processing of the digital class. All the grade 12 participants um the judges uh everybody who had a part in that it's another amazing event. Um I'm not so I'm so many perspectives that I'm not even going to list. Um from the agency video of of our our journalism class to auditorium pathway the whole process. Families and friends and students to um the participants on stage to
