I need a motion to adopt that. Or he he actually made that motion. He second. >> Second. >> All in favor? I >> opposed. >> Motion to adopt S145 with the amendment. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> Opposed? Carries. >> Uh 24. >> Okay. I need a motion. And

that was page 24, right? >> Yep. I'll make a motion to consider page 24. Third from the top. >> Yes. No. >> Third one down. Need a motion. >> Second. >> Okay. >> I make a motion to amend 24. Reports of uh special committees. >> Um I attended Boseies. It looks like there's about a 4% increase um this year. And is it the arwada? I think that's what it's called. Um,

looks like it's going to be about 4% for most. So, I'm just letting you know there. Braden, anything on the Bosey's executive? >> No, I was really looking forward to the region manion Q&A and then it got snowed out and rescheduled to the day that I can't go. So, >> nothing. Audit finance. Uh, we had a meeting just prior to the uh uh our aborted budget workshop. Um we'll probably have something um prior to the next one. So we have a schedule out on that. Capital projects um capital projects, building and grounds. We've completed all building walkthroughs. Um we have a meeting at the end of February with all principles and building reps. So, we'll compile all of our notes and go through those and then we'll be meeting with architects and project managers the

first week of March. >> Okay. CTE >> CTE was scheduled for last Friday. It was cancelled and rescheduled um with an upcoming date. >> Pak uh we actually had to reschedu that one as well for February. We don't have a date. >> No, February the it's a 9th I think. Yeah. >> So, February 9th, February 9th. We have the remaining calendar >> for the rest of the year. >> And um all coaches, building principles, and I think appropriate administration received some updates on some policies that we would like to bring forward to the policy committee. So, they should be on the lookout for that email from Mr. and Brusso and they can leave comments in the document and we'll be reviewing that at the February 9th meeting. Um, as far as I think there's two

policies we'll be bringing forward. >> I believe that email was sent. >> Yes, we have. >> Yep. So that we just have to Yep. >> policy committee >> policy met January 14th. We're recommending amendments to the attendance policies which we'll do or which we'll recommend for this meeting in new business. Um and then we are meeting February 3rd >> or is our next meeting. Um community use of district facilities policies on the agenda. >> Uh we I look forward to talk about student governance policy ideas uh in accordance with the um form that they had that student council proctor student council had with the middle schools um at Proctor two weeks ago. that the student rep talked about. Looking forward to hearing a little bit more about that and how we can move some of

the policies forward there. And then there's a couple uh new required policies from Boseies that will be coming up. >> Okay. Code of conduct. >> We have not met nothing to change there >> yet. All right. Communications. >> We'll be meeting in February, >> Monday, I think. Yes. >> Oh, okay. >> Am I reading? >> No. It's okay. All right. Um, need a motion to approve the minutes of the December 16, 2025 regular and special meetings. Take them together. Move it. Second. >> Okay. Any corrections, additions, deletions? All right. All in favor? >> Opposed? >> Motion carries. Um continuing business. Um under new business, I have um something resolution to propose and hopefully get adopted. Uh whereas the board has reviewed the terms of the proposed consulting agreement with an effective date of January 28,

0102026 pertaining to a personnel matter. Now therefore, be it resolved by the board of education of the UK City School District as follows. The board hereby approves the proposed consulting agreement, agrees to be responsible for costs incurred under the agreements. This resolution shall take effect immediately. Need a motion. >> Move that. >> Second. All in any discussion? All in favor? >> Motion carries. All right, I got another resolution. I'm going to need a motion to adopt this resolution. Whereas the sums of complaint were filed in the Onidita County State Supreme Court index number EFCA here and after referred to as the litigation asserting claims against the Udica City School District here and after referred to as the district and Danielle N. Padulla individually and as a member of the Udica City School District Board of

Education here and after referred to as the board of education. And now therefore, the board of education hereby resolves to defend and indemnify Danielle N. Padulla in the litigation through either the use of insurance coverage or school district resources to the extent provided for by the school district's liability insurance coverage and otherwise provided by law provided for by law. Can I have a motion? Move it. >> Second. >> Any discussion? All in favor? >> I. >> Motion passes. >> Um, any other new business? >> Yes, I have the floor recommendations from the policy committee. I make a motion to adopt policy 70,06 as amended. >> Okay. I need a second. >> Second. >> Okay. I you know I read that and >> I I just was wondering if you could just kind of generally explain

what you were hoping to accomplish with those amendments. >> The amendments to this attendance policy. >> Yeah, I'm trying to understand. >> So the recommendations made by the attendance committee to the policy committee um and that the policy committee is recommending are essentially twofold. one, I'm sorry, they're more than twofold, but one is to modernize language and uh sort of correct typographical issues within all the policies. That's been a goal for us all along. The more substantive points are one, making a comprehensive and uniform attendance policy across the entire district instead of how it was previously organized, which was split between the primary and secondary schools. Uh and the second was to uh use more restorative practices when dealing with attendance uh issues. Those included, Mr. Fouch can also hop in here if he wants

to, but uh removing uh attendance requirements for summer school eligibility, which was a barrier before to uh students attending summer schools that they hadn't attended school enough to qualify for it. uh and also moving away from just pure detention or suspension oriented adjustments and uh more towards uh moving those students to the system of care so that they're actually engaged with the school district rather than just being disciplined for attendance issues. >> Okay. Anybody else have any comments, questions? Hearing none. All in favor? Opposed? Motion carries. >> Second motion is to adopt as amended regulation 706.1 which is the implementation of the attendance policy across the district. >> I I saw something in there. Oh, I'm sorry. I need That's the motion. I need a second. >> Second. >> I I saw something in there

about it looked like there was a change in the number of days. What's that about? >> Yeah. So, that was a change in modering policy is that they know again I might be wrong about this but I don't think I am is that the state state law I think I remember correctly state law no longer works with percentages it now works or I'm sorry it no longer works with raw days out of school it now works as a percentage that students are allowed to miss before they're put into those attendance categories that Okay. Anybody else have any questions? >> All right. Hearing none. All in favor? >> Opposed? Motion carries. >> And then I can actually take these together. I have a motion to repeal regulations 706.2 and 706.3. >> Need a second. >> Second.

>> Any discussion? >> And just an explanation of those two. 76.3 was the primary primary school attendance policy because those have been uniformly dealt with in 76.1 it's no longer necessary. 76.2 is the summary of the policy um that the I believe the attendance committee writes and promulgates throughout the district. Uh the committee felt that it would just be tedious to have the board approve every single change to the summary and instead allow the committee to make changes to the summary as it sees fit because it doesn't change the policy itself. Just the layman's terms summary of it. >> Thank you. All in favor? >> Opposed? Motion carries. Any other new business? Any communication? >> Sorry, one other thing. I meant to say it during um the committee report, but I did want to thank

the attendance committee for their work on those policies because they originally took it, did all the red line drafts and then brought it to the policy committee. It was a lot of work undertaking on their part, tenants committees, Mr. Fely, Mr. Germer, and Mrs. Felchy. So, I'd like to thank them for the work that they did on that. >> Well, thank you. any communication. >> Okay. >> Are we going to schedule a date for the workshop or do we want >> Well, we're all here. >> We said we were going to do it right after the uh >> after the February meeting. >> How about the 11th? >> No, >> our meeting's February 10th. Yeah, we >> I'm can the 11th anyways. >> How about the 12th? >> Definitely can't the 12th. I'd recommend either

a Tuesday or a Monday or a Wednesday. >> How about the 17th? That's a good day. >> What's the 17th? >> I don't have a calendar in front of me. >> What about the 24th when the board meeting should have been? >> It's not good. Um, when's our March meeting? >> Wait, what? The 24th. >> I'm hoping the 24th. >> No, that's the March meeting. >> No, you're not. >> Isn't that our board meeting? >> How about March 3rd? >> Oh, February. >> What about February? >> It's way too far. >> March 3rd. March. >> I think I mean listen I as far as I'm concerned I think we ought to do it earlier rather than later. >> I think >> February 3rd. >> No, >> I'm not going to be here for the third.

>> No. >> What days? >> Tuesday. >> March March. March. >> Wait. Mondays and Thursdays are bad for you. >> No. Monday. >> What about the week? Never. What does everybody have? >> Well, we got the school board meeting on the 10th. >> What about the 9th, the 11th, the 12th, 13th? >> That's a lot going on that week. >> That That's a lot. We already have a quick turn around to get packing things ready. >> Yeah, but you already got that stuff done for the >> No, we anticipate we probably have some revisions now based on conversation night. So, [snorts] >> maybe maybe send availability to the board clerks and then go. >> We'll we'll have we'll have Kathy her and Stephanie her the cats. >> Okay. >> Any uh >> unless you >>

I might think about it. Uh all in >> favor of adjourning. >> Move it. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> All right. Well, good news. We got it done in >> 40. >> No, I told you.
