uh was recognized for uh receiving an award through her uh organization it's uh the strength optimism aspiration and resilience award and uh as i was researching this i discovered something really special about that i had never known in my six years she is the president and co-founder of pig kids event tickets kid i'm sorry kids event tickets dot com so this is a non-profit organization that enriches the lives of area children and when i say area children it could be western new york it could be across the state or even across the united states but the the organization distributes sporting and cultural event tickets free of charge to underserved children and teens and for the agencies that serve them they help children experience the culture and entertainment that abounds in their very own communities and
i also discovered not knowing this for six years that jude serves as the secretary for this great company and michael stoffer one of our teachers is the vice president and they serve along with nina and her husband to raise funds and to distribute tickets to those who are underserved from my understanding looking at the website they have distributed over 16 000 tickets to worthy children across the united states so today we're celebrating janine but we also want to recognize uh mike and jude so if we could let's give him a round of applause is there anything you'd like to have about we've been doing it for many years and it's so rewarding to see the faces on these children that don't have the opportunity to maybe go to a bisons game or buffalo bills game
or we've even gone up to some to uh yankees stadium and stuff so i'm definitely on important for that one it's just it's awesome it's such a great opportunity for these children that don't have a way to get to any of these games and stuff and even um shades and any plays and and that type of thing so it's it's a great organization very proud to be on and congratulations to denise she's awesome she's amazing really is special and from my understanding you and deneen and others sell raffle tickets to raise the money at buys and games almost every home game is what i heard so if you're at a bison game take an eye out oh what is glenn and is it true that you've also given tickets to fenway parker [Laughter] all right
that makes sense so thank you okay congratulations uh what a great cause and we're proud of jane gallagher jude and and everyone involved that's such a nice organization and a wonderful way to allow students to be able to experience not only what western new york has to offer but it sounds like other places as well so that's wonderful um so we're moving on to the western new york education education service council awards and grand island this year we are very excited because we have three award winners from grand island one teacher in the teacher category there is an administrator category and we have a winner for that as well and a board of education member selected and this is very exciting for grand island so we would like to congratulate and we'll talk a little
bit more about our winners this year our um those that were selected in the teacher category mrs amy boute in the administrator category cheryl cardone was given the award and for the board of education stu marston was given the award i do have a little something for the teacher category that um we had submitted so i did want to um want to read that about mrs um so i will pull that up but it is it is an honor to um have three people from grand island to receive this award and i'm hoping that we will have quite a few people at a dinner we have a dinner coming up um dr graham do you want to talk a little bit about the dinner sure when and where new york education service council dinner will
be april 26th at the creekside banquet facility in chicago and it's a very very special event so there will be other teachers and administrators and board members recognized from across erie county and uh honored at that dinner so we're definitely looking forward to that okay so i have the nomination if i can find it here i'm sorry um no so while you're waiting can we get a picture let's do it okay we can have amy cheryl and sue join us in front and our board members uh join us with that photo definitely my vision test do not go to a vision test before boarding like ever all right congratulations [Music] oh thank you teaches business at grand island high school but she's not just a teacher she's an absolute rock star and the busiest teacher
mom coach and director that could possibly exist in any school district throughout western new york as a teacher mrs boute does so much for our business students she leads the national academy of business and finance along with her co-worker at grand island and she has students participate in the program under her direction since its inception a few years ago in addition to her work as the business education teacher mrs boutia served as president of the business association of new york and on the board of the new york state council of educational associations as a result of all her hard work and dedication to students inside and out of the classroom miss miss booty was selected as the clinton a read business teacher of the year as well mrs boutin works many hours beyond the school

show that will be remembered by our community for years to come while mrs brute has proven to be a fantastic teacher a well-loved coach and a director she's also a well-organized efficient and effective community education director for the grand island central school district mrs boute puts together popular fall winter and spring offerings in our community education catalogs she organizes everything from securing rooms to writing classes to recruiting instructors and handling handling the advertisement and mailings of a catalog she puts together each and every semester she also holds meetings with the school and community members that serve on the committee to get input for new programming and looks for ways to improve community education for our residents on grand island in conclusion mrs boute is irreplaceable she's irreplaceable as a teacher as a coach and as
a director she wears many hats for grand island and she's very deserving of recognition for all of her effort efforts on behalf of our students our students teachers staff administration all respect and love mr brute for her dedication to our school and community she truly makes grand island a better place to be so congratulations and i know that for all of our for all of our award recipients we are so proud of you we know that um cheryl you have gone above and beyond in the job that you've done with kovic with reporting with all of all the extra jobs that we've we've piled on you over the last couple years and you've always done it graciously and diligently and and just worked as hard as you could without without complaining and just doing an
extraordinary job at all the many hats that you wear from um supervising i mean when you go through the strategic plan there's just there's so many people under your direction and we really appreciate you taking on the added responsibility of of covet for the district as well which i know was um a lot of time a lot of time that you um had to put into that and then there's sue marston what do you say about sumerston she's been on the board she's like nothing please please please say nothing um but sue has done so much for the community as part of the board she serves on the food service committee she serves on the kids but she serves on the wellness committee um and was the driving force behind the family resource center and
just so many of so many of the programs that impact our families here in great island and she is always someone that will bring her best and her ideas all the time to the board and we truly are appreciative of that too we may not always agree they may not always seem see eye to eye and everything but there's one thing i think everybody can agree on is that sue has done so much as a board member in terms of committee work in terms of moving things forward for the students of grand island and we are all appreciative of the work you can do you do and you're very deserving of recognition from the service council thank you that concludes our recognition and good news i don't think we had anyone signed up for the
public comment session but i better check it again with these glasses on let's see all right we did not so we will move forward to curriculum and instruction with mr lauria there's uh nothing on my agenda today so very quickly great all right so that brings us to personnel instructional if i could have a motion to approve pi1 through pi4 please and second okay okay any abstentions any objections motion hearing 7-0 can i just make a comment on the addendum i'd like to just make a quick addendum for the notes which is that the start date for um jordan robinson from jordan kyle robinson she actually started today we were fortunate enough to get her to start a little early from her release date so um it was an april fourth start date instead of
the anticipated april 7th okay thank you thank you and personnel non-instructional if i could have a motion to approve a and b please and a second all in favor aye any objections any extensions motion carries 7-0 no introduction okay all right okay that brings us to finance with dr harris um the only action item i have tonight is budget transfers over fifteen thousand item pay okay i have a motion to approve finance a please in a second all in favor any objections any extensions motion carried seven zero is the kinder kids contract which i expressed that i would put on here as informational um you did approve that with adjustments but i did want to make sure it was in the full record that you had the actual contract that they will be signing uh
c is the revenue status report for january d is the treasurer's report for january and then e is budget transfers that are under the 15 000 um threshold and then um f is our presentation you will see uh when we get to our april uh presentations that i do outline it like this so all of the information is just there in reference to expense capital outlay it makes it easier when we get to the point of approval when we are turning documentation in whether it be to the state or others um that they can see that you actually took action on those things but right now it's informational all right dr graham all right thank you so we appreciate the board's input as we approach our third budget presentation uh as the board knows we
always talk about mission and our budget goals we've heard this countless times throughout our presentation as well as our strategic plan goals so i will move ahead to just recapping enrollment nothing really has changed the board may recall that we have a total enrollment in the 2019-2020 year of and then a dropped 2742 last year and this year we're at 2816. you'll see that we have some slides here just on kids who were engaged in homeschooling over the past year it is important to note that given the number of students in our school system at this time it doesn't look like you know high school enrollment is on the decline as well as middle school enrollment we are still projecting um middle school enrollment to be about the same as it is this year so
you'll see that represented in future slides but it is important to note that because of a few years of students enrolling in kindergarten below 200 those kids are moving up through the grade levels and they're starting to impact middle school and high school so this also takes a look at the changes in kegelmind and youth enrollment uh aggregated together and you can see that going into next year we're looking at going back to the 800s and we think that that will continue to grow and again as i've shared with the board the good news is that the kindergarten enrollments and first grade enrollments are getting back to normal so you can see that they had dropped over several years and now we're projecting about 448 children in first grade and kindergarten at sunway for the
next school year uh these are our current elementary class size ratios the board will take note that um at kegabine there are 16 total classroom teachers and going into next year we're requesting that to change to so you'll see that reflected in page 19 or slide 19 i think that is and then going back i just want to point out that this this arrow represents a predicted number of 230 kindergarten enrollments uh for next year and then that is represented uh here under projected elementary class size ratios right now we're looking at 11 kindergarten teachers and 10 first grade teachers and mr antonelli will continue looking we'll continue looking at enrollment he'll continue working with his teacher leadership team to determine if we need to increase that from 10 to 11 for first grade or
keep it the same and i know mr antonelli is working with his teacher leaders to talk about uh maybe some internal coverage to make that 11 teachers for first grade or keeping that other teacher in the academic intervention services for mathematics so we don't project any changes unless mr antonelli and the teachers decide getting to class size of 20 is more important and not and then making that happen through academic intervention service transfer of a teacher is there any questions about sidway i have a question happens if they decide both are important what if they decide that with covid and all of the loss of learning and hybrid models and students being virtual and not in school that they need that academic intervention specialist but then they also think because of some of the learning
loss that it would be great to have and it would be important i should say not great but important to have class sizes a little bit lower at 20 due to all the just all the difficulties that students have experienced over the last couple years so i'm just wondering what happens if they come back and say well both are important and well they are both important but i think the limitations of our budget and conversations with our district office team our principals and the green island teachers association that we all understand know that we have limitations to the budget uh we can definitely cover that first grade by moving a teacher internally into that spot and um you know and again maybe having class sizes of 20 in first grade uh lessens the burden on
academic intervention services so that's one way to look at it or maintaining you know 22 extra kids in the classroom allows for that academic intervention service to occur in the area of mathematics in first grade so yeah it's not the perfect solution but it is a solution that everybody seems to be on the same page with that size of first grade for this year's yeah so it is 20 and 20 for both kindergarten and first grade so this says 20.6 but so that that's this year's number is 2020. so it is 11 and 10 currently correct we're looking to keep it 11 that's correct slightly increased yep and again keep in mind that these this is a projected number in kindergarten we really don't know if we're going to have 230 kids enroll the data
suggests you know that we will based on the births that are attributed five years ago and now you know those kids are coming to kindergarten so this is predicting 230 as you can see here next year you can see that it's predicting 196. so it varies and fluctuates but again the good news about kindergarten is that after 196 you're at 208 214 and 216. so that's going to drive you know other club you know other grade levels to have a bigger enrollment in the future but if you take a look this 172 this 195 this 173 this 189 are moving through our system now and that's why we're seeing a decline at the middle school and then eventually the high school we don't have one more question like a significant number of school kids or
anything like that these are the kids that were home schooled during this school year you had five at kindergarten and seven in first grade so it's entirely possible that those five kids may come back to the district or they may choose not to this represents the secondary enrollment this is this year you can see there are 641 children in grades 6 7 and 8. the chart below the 641 represents represents children that are in self-contained special education classrooms at the middle school you'll see that we are operating with nine teachers in that grade level and it's our intent to continue with nine going into next year even though this number has decreased we're expecting 186 kids to move into sixth grade next year now again that doesn't include jay you know kids who may be
home schooled in fifth grade who come back or kids coming out of you know other parochial private schools that might come to the middle school so we again we are looking at very low class sizes of about 20 or 21 in sixth grade also you will take note that this could be the first year that we fall under 900 at the high school this number doesn't take into account your question about homeschool kids coming back or kids coming out of eighth grade at st stevens choosing the high school any questions about this this just kind of takes the math the number of students in fifth and fourth grade that currently exists and shows the board what the middle school might look like in the 23-24 school year the 24-25 school year and the 25-26 school
year so you can see that you know if we go back to this chart the middle school had 700 kids in the 2016-2017 school year this you know this uh a peak in the future takes a look at the decline the potential decline overall at the middle school at 588 557 and 585 so there is definitely a decline it's that bubble that will not bubble but the lack of a bubble of young children moving through the school system but again the good news is as as we look as we anticipate we might have kindergarteners over the threshold at 200 as opposed to under which we've experienced in the past and we see that there are more you know plans for residential neighborhoods being built on the island that they increase numbers k-12 right any questions
about this so as the board knows we've had 11 teachers indicate their intent to retire it is our intent to either replace or provide internal coverage or not replace so you'll see here that we have one elementary special education teacher set to retire in the parenthetical that says internal coverage and that means that we'll be able to transfer a special education teacher from one building to the other to take care of that in that higher brand new teacher you guys have any questions about that line at all so that will help us get through beyond that we have some elementary teachers who indicated that they're retiring we plan on replacing the two full-time positions there there's an elementary sec and two secondary physical education teachers that are set to retire our plan is to replace
all three of those phys ed teachers we have a secondary art teacher that is planning to retire our plans to replace by 0.4 instead of a full-time replacement position and cover the rest internally we have a secondary english our plan is to replace that one fte a secondary science our plan is not to replace that position and move a science teacher from one building to another to cover that need and then we have two uh secondary socialized teachers who we plan on replacing those two fdes are there any questions about this yeah i think we the department of the high school has a lot of science teachers is that correct and then from those 11 given the course requests going into next year we should be able to cover the course request with is working
with 10. of creative solutions to that but at this point um and not cutting any classes or programs except our typical pressure did you notice that they're taking something else or without conversations we're also seeing an increase in uh our juniors and seniors who want to access cte courses through boces and that's just a really important conversation that we've been having for several several years these courses are excellent we want kids to engage in those trades and to access the courses that are offered everyone boces but also it pulls more kids away from programs like science because they're choosing the cte pathways so for next year we think that we'll be moving from about 50 juniors this year to about 82 roger just looking for confirmation 82 juniors next year so you know an increase
in about 30-ish and that also plays a role in our budget because there's a tuition that we pay for the kids to access that opportunity [Music] we can look into that roger if you would just let me know tomorrow if you notice the uptick in a particular trade or several trade programs so that gives some background to the budget recommendations that we have so i'm going to pass it over to ruby we'll see if i can do these as quickly as dr graham did i was counting how quickly he was going through those slides i was like oh i do and i know ruby's gonna touch on this the state budget has at least as far as i know has not been passed yet it was supposed to be passed april first we're confident that
the aid that was allocated in the january runs are what we will receive will be blessed if we receive more than that we don't expect it to be less no um i'm we keep hearing that hopefully it's this week that they finalize some components i don't think it is the educational component that is holding up uh the final selection i think there are some other uh high ticket items for them um so none of the information on this slide has changed because there's been no updates uh since this is originally been provided the next slide shows the summary of all revenues this shows the real property tax levy um our state aid as well as our building aid and it gets into our appropriated fund balance you will see from one year to the next
um we did carry the same amount i did meet probably a week maybe a week and a half ago with rick tim's our financial advisor to go piece by piece in reference to how i was budgeting did it make sense um any recommendations he had um we were pretty spot on in reference to this slide any questions here okay um there i think there probably have been some minor um changes to this slide in reference to uh salaries and benefits it was just aligning everything on that has occurred since the last presentation uh whether that be retirements movements all of those things so those things are taken into consideration you will also see the benefits component which is primarily uh health insurance and then you have trs you see fenca and then retirement benefits is
directly contribute to contractual allegations per the people that are retired sorry my voice is scratchy everything else should be the same on that slide so that really take this the next two slides really takes the information you saw in the overall summary and breaks it down into departments and specific areas so you don't see much happening outside of the i think it says 2.7 million in reference to salary benefits and contractual obligations okay um and then this just carries over with the information clearly reds mean uh there's been reductions there and then the blacks are increases so you will see that the total appropriation increase is 2.87 yep okay 2.87 million and then you will see the different revenue areas so you have state aid there you have your tax levy and then you have
other revenue and then appropriated fund balance so when we take all of that into consideration we have a gap of 29 000 which not much what i did do here um to show this i showed this at the last board uh budget presentation but i did want to show the changes that were being made to allow for some other accommodations and to bring the budget gap smaller originally we do have american rescue plan funds and because uh supervision which is really uh your administrators and then teaching which is your teachers would easily fall into uh appropriate use of those funds for professional development and conference and travel components i did reduce those areas and push that into the american rescue if necessary um i don't know how much will be spent or not spent um
but i did want to show that we did make a reduction but there are professional development beyond that um so you have business office staff myself and dr graham admin as well as srps that are asking to go to things that are coming up so i do think it's important that we incorporate some conference and travel funds because conferences are picking back up and i think everybody needs some professional development in multiple areas as well as some of the new initiatives that are coming out um from the state do you want me to talk this later or you want to sure so excuse me so you can see that through this budget process there are some things that are remaining and we ask the board to consider allowing us to add an enl teacher a
social worker a speech teacher an elementary teacher and taking that 0.6 elementary strings position and making that a full-time position in addition we're asking for an increase for the athletic director's salary as well as an increase to the national academy foundation academy needs and requests and once again asking for transfer to the food service line item to help us with the deficit that's there yep any any questions okay so one of the things as we go forward in these slides you will see is this is outside of what is already inclusive in the budget that you already saw that component so i do want to make sure that is understood i did want to provide all of the requests that we initially started with um when we had our first presentation i think that was
in february beginning of february um so this shows you everything that was requested and then the x's show you the things that we've actually continued and actually are proposing to the board in this packet of information so that 295 000 just is the same amount it just allows you to see big picture um so no nothing is left out of what was requested on the show another area of the budget that is still included is the capital outlay um plan so this is something that we had added i think we had removed it and then we added it back last year this allows us to do the 100 000 projects um which is small but it allows us to get some of repairs done or smaller project implementations and you get to do this annually
you do receive your building aid percentage annually back on this um so it's not we don't we pay out a hundred thousand but we do get our state aid percentage back this current year we are doing the classroom door card access i believe right but that won't cover the entire district no that is for you i think um cube is usually our are getting kickstarter for things so we are starting at um road i'm gonna be honest off the top of my head i don't think that covers youth being done um so we're looking at some of the major areas and doing as much as we can um another on building aid i want to say it's around 70 so it's at least 70 percent it might be a little bit higher um it is
expected i wrote expected because we don't have a past budget right now so i would expect it that this amount for new york state school districts will go to 250 000 our budget will be a hundred thousand for the 20 to 23 school year i did want to make sure that was expressed um even though they're doing that increase it's pretty late in the game to try to make those type of adjustments um in the budget and i would prefer to wait i think as you can see with some of the requests or other areas um to spend right so although this doesn't impact us for next year they could impact other districts or a year from now we may be looking at doing a small capital outlay at 250 as opposed to 100 or
at 150 depending on the course and you can write um you can range that how truly however you please you just can't go over there or you could and you won't get any amp so go over there you can definitely go over it this is again the um bus proposition information uh you will see here that we are at 465 passenger buses and 129 passenger bus that was a little bit different two presentations ago but we did bring that down so the amount change is actually a decrease from where we were for the current budget for what we are proposing um and this is a separate proposition just so you're right this proposition to see it so along with the the debate at the state level with their budget one of the interesting elements of
that debate is moving into the future districts purchasing electric vehicles for buses yes and this is a big debate uh it really needs a lot of conversation a lot of discussion because there's so many elements that i don't think have been thoroughly thought out as it relates to switching over your entire fleet to electric vehicles as you know you know our bus drivers our director of transportation our mechanics get in at 5am to start buses in the dead of winter and if you can imagine having a battery powered vehicle outdoors in the dead of winter there could be lots of infrastructure and issues and how we keep those batteries warm and ready uh for you know our climate that's just one of the issues i know oh i know i know you do so just
i do want to acknowledge that it's great to be thinking about that but we the state really needs to work with school districts if they really want to make this happen uh as you can imagine charging a fleet of how many buses we have you know well over 50 drivers so we probably have you know 60 70 buses charging 60 70 buses 10 years from now is going to be a significant challenge and infrastructure project we have many financial um financial challenges with doing this the cost of the actual bus charging stations do they fit in your current lab with how the area is the state gonna eat infrastructure to cover those buses because it's not aided now how far can they go and they need to be charged again it's as well as the
demand supply and demand for school districts we have met with our representatives as well as our our i know the superintendents meet um our asgo chapter for new york met a couple weeks ago and voiced a lot of those questions have you thought of as well as the fact that that buses are voted on by taxpayers so how do you do the requirement when each community is going to have a weigh-in like yes or no so there are a lot of components to factor in a lot of questions and concerns but it's really just making sure that we have a seat at the table um i i think the buses are going to happen it's just the length of time they actually allow for implementation and and the language backing up because those those houses
i think are supporting it yeah and taking a student to rochester and getting them back on one charge right and and if i have to charge the bus at that location then you're paying your driver to sit there with the bus during that time that they're charging the bus because they're still on work time so there are many um pieces right thank you yeah okay so this so this is a recap of really everything you've seen must fire so this includes our revenue areas this includes all of the salaries and benefits and then at the bottom our favorite area to look um without request the difference to the tax cap and then with requests the difference to the tax cap so you will see with the 200 295 um of additional components all in which
we feel are very important for our programs next year it is about 320 i'm going to say 325 000 of a gap and that gap would be you would expect to be taken care of through appropriating funding yes that's the next slide so um what this shows here is the revenue and the expenditures and then our gap again the same thing you saw on the last page um the current recommendation is to use an additional 325 000 rounding of appropriated front balance to close the gap i do think it is very important to reference that it would be a mission critical year and i also want to explain what that means in the business and finance and cabinet level uh world of things as we go through this so um mission critical is really the
things that have to occur occur and everything else if it's not mission critical if it's not necessary does not um that does not mean that textbooks are not bought it's not that type of reviewing of areas but it would be some special requests that come up or sometimes we do a budget freeze in february or march saying no more spending of funds that very well could look like a budget freeze in december order what you need to order to get you through the year and then allow the rest to fall um to fund balance it's not the first time we've done this um i actually think when we when kobit first began and we thought we were going to lose 20 of our state aid we adopted a budget and then we functioned in a
mission critical state because we had already adopted a prior budget thinking we were receiving on those funds it did work out everything worked out fine but we did function in in that way and i also think it's important to express though the expenditure is listed at 7 70 million 70.2 million um that is it's never our goal to spend every dollar we don't function that way we already do a lot of review discussion um working with our administrators is there a better strategy to get stuff done so we would continue on those and then just really keeping the board directly aware of where we stand so you probably would get a lot more um financial component updates just so you understood where we are as we go through the process any questions okay um next
you will have the fund balance lie this is a requirement to be included per the state but the numbers are not finalized you will not know what june 30th 2022's fund balance is until really until we're meeting with our auditors in um august september and then we do a presentation out to the board in october this does give you some high level information we are using that last component of our debt service reserve that we stated per our 24 million capital project this does go through employee benefits retirements unemployment none of these have been increased if we do have additional funds um beyond the four percent that's when you will see your reserve increase and then that is also something that the board votes to approve as well at the october meeting i'm trying to
think on here if anything oh the only other item that is not on here because it's not handled the same way as reserves is the money that we did not spend from the capital project that just closed out that is kept in a separate fund but i believe that's over two million but i'll get a final number for you maybe i'll just add it as a separate component um so you're aware of it but you know that it's not a general fund thumbnail okay first it's really just for information for others or for all of us that are looking at our budget we had 11 retirements this year and um all teachers and the influx of the foundation needed if i'm saying that correctly um so we're seeing an increase what was perceived as an
increase to our funds so i guess just for information only and for all of us in here and our community i mean to go into our reserves or more than we normally have any year that it looks like we would have so much cash surplus um which in education we normally don't but if you could just kind of explain um that okay if that question makes sense yes i believe so so if i'm going down the rabbit hole the opposite way let me know um so we did receive 1.1 million more in foundation yeah so um that is great truthfully if we would have been funded correctly this year we would have received an additional million on top of that um so the makeup is a makeup of a formula that they should have ran
years ago and they are finally just phasing in to make us whole um i also want to express um and this is nothing against other school districts either school districts that were already made whole in the past received three percent on top of their normal formula this year um i get it but that was funds that other districts who had not been made whole yet could have also received to bump us up um even more so that makeup fun was not added to the funds we would have gotten this year so it wasn't it was it was added to where we were last year and then they gave us 1.1 so and then next year they should be giving us the remainder if this plan works out for the state um the remainder of what
is due to us per a formula that they have not run properly in ever right and ruby a few years ago we pre-coded i think our foundation aid increased that one year and we did a campaign with all of our parents letting the state legislators know how under-funded we were i think that year it was maybe around 80 000 change from one year to the next in foundation eight yes so that just illustrates how the district and many districts across the state have been underfunded for a consistently long period of time 10 12 years yeah so this you're right sue looking at that 1.1 or 1.2 million seems like oh wow right but it's it's you know they're finally starting to catch up and once they say they've caught up we really still won't be
caught up correct i think that's important correct um it's not retro you're not getting any of your pass i i did ask that uh you're not getting any of your um past funds and truthfully um not just us but all districts are kind of wondering what happens when the phase in occurs will they go back and look at the formula are they just going to say a flat percentage for everyone and how does that work and really does that fit the needs of all school districts in new york state then you had a second component with the 11 retirements so um one of the things that is important and it is factored in here um so we have our retirements you have people that are in different places in reference to the benefit scale right
so of the 11 retirements one is an internal coverage and one will not be replaced so everyone else has a salary benefit component that's factored in for a new hire you also have the contractual obligation of people retiring and that is a um that is a five-year spread of the total dollar amount so there's a mathematical calculation that goes on in the background it's a five-year spread and that i just want to clarify when she says five-year spread and the retirement benefit with our teachers association teachers who have accumulated sick days can turn those sick days into cash for health care into their retirement so many times the true benefit of people retiring and us replacing somebody at a lower salary is a difference of about 20 000 when you take into account the starting
salary and the benefits of the person coming in and the starting parent and the salary and the benefits of the person leaving plus the sick bank contribution it equates to about a 20 000 savings but then after five years the district is in much better shape uh having to have um have that formula play out over time but in the first five years uh somebody who has 256 days could be getting a benefit of about 100 000 into health care over five years so that's why you don't see the dramatic benefit yet but over time each year if you have 10 11 teachers it will catch up to that okay this is the tax cap calculation um all this information is the exact same uh but i do like to outline um the allowable increase
in a little bit over 2 million and that increase is 5.59 um um i know i probably beat this to death um maybe not all the way to that but i think it's important to make sure it's referenced even though you are seeing that percentage um has a large percentage at 5.59 when you take into consideration where we are for the 2122 school year and uh increasing that by 5.59 it does put us at an estimated um 17.10 per thousand home this is based on the 2021-22 um property assessment we don't get the new information until usually mid-july and then i think the board is approving it pretty quickly um in august i did just pull for history historical purposes i'm going a little bit further back than just the 2021 projected um in the
past the actual dollar amount has ranged beyond just the 16 and 20 cents has ranged around 19 it fluctuates up and down but you have some um which is really interesting when i look at these numbers um you have some years where it went up so it was 1981 82 and you have some years that was around 19.35 per thousand but i did think that was important just to share to show where we are estimated to come in right now any questions in reference to this slide is 180 000 excess value is that uh is that a given number i mean with the cost of um real estate these days um has that number gone up or is it a standard everybody uses i mean it was a standard for when i began at grand
island i can definitely just ask ask the cost of real estate and ruby that might be funny i i think you know i've just been wanting to maybe grow in the current market ruby might be a good question for your fellow you know business officials to see what what they're doing in their areas all right so i may even update that um no probably i'm assuming there will be another presentation so um well i think it's a great question i think we would give the board the information but it may just throw people off we were saying seventeen dollars and then the the dollar amount will not change it will still be seven dollars it's just an example that will be used yeah it's just an example of if if your home is assessed at
this um to kind of push back i understand the dollars okay so we our next meeting is april 19th and that's where we would ask the board to adopt this budget and i guess ruby do you have any specific questions right now does the board have any requests guidance concerns in reference to the presentation i will say that if foundation aid was to increase then clearly the appropriation the fund balance appropriation component would decrease so that is a factor that could change um that number uh the overall budget number though if there are not any recommendations of change would still be the um 70 million that you saw so i just don't want to come we're confident yes yeah it's better you could only help yeah okay thank you all right thank you okay thank
you that uh brings us to special education thank you just two quick items um i could have action on the cpsc and csc program recommendations please in a second paper any objections any extensions motion carried 7-0 and that brings us to the superintendent's report with dr graham thank you we're trying to make this brief the last time we were together i shared with the board some information a big project that we're taking on with the high school and middle school students also leading working with our social workers to develop a program that would focus on educating our students and and i guess the community how to develop a positive life balance between being engaged in our social media apps and our phones i shared with the board that in december we had to do a
very intense investigation about a potential social media threat that seemed to target our high school i shared with the board you know by around midnight with myself and the erie county sheriff's department that we determined it to be false but what left me wondering after that was why we have so many kids willing to share or repost things that look like threats to our school without talking to the trusted adults in their household so so given that not only were we dealing with that here in red island but it was a you know i guess an epidemic across the united states in many many school districts on this particular date of december 16th and 17th uh beyond that um you know it's important i think i shared last time that uh through robin quite tech
sharing some good information with jessica we are going to premiere the documentary like for the community and we're really excited about that jessica hutchings and brodie kaiser our social workers are working with high school student leaders to put together a program not only for our middle school students but for the entire community and one of the quotes in the program or in the documentary which is important for all of us to remember is that we're not really the customers of our phones and our social media applications but we really are the product of being sold to advertisers and so this program will help the community as well as our students understand the brain science around interacting with social media and our students will hopefully begin to develop better self-regulation skills as they learn more about
how powerful the social media applications are and pulling them in to their ecosystems so the update for the board is that on may 4th we're going to have a screening of this documentary in our high school auditorium from 6 30 to 8 15 pm we're going to open this up for all grade island residents who are interested in this program so we encourage everybody in our community to come and join us for this big event and then the next day we're very excited that at the middle school the middle school students will have the opportunity to to watch the same documentary and then you can see on may 6th during the where everybody belongs special day uh high school student leaders will work with eighth grade web leaders and the rest of the middle school
students to have follow-up discussions and brainstorming ideas on how to begin to self-regulate and find a healthy balance with those uh those exciting social media applications and then you can see in the next where everybody belongs day on june 3rd students will be encouraged to create digital advertisements posters and video public service announcements that are designed to help students find that balance i'm very excited to share with the board that the grand island chamber of commerce will partner with us and local businesses will partner so that we have a complete circle not only middle school students creating public service announcements through video or digital advertisements or posters but to be able to walk into the brick or to super cuts or to tops and see those same posters displayed in our local businesses with qr
codes that will lead interested people back to those video public service announcements so kind of completing a big circle not only the school recommending this healthy life balance but local businesses getting on board to support so um so this these were some pictures that we took today uh some or some high school students were working with jessica brody on the community screening event as well as the next day with the middle school students so it's just exciting to see the kids sharing their ideas and that the adults that support them listening and taking into account their perspective any questions about this and then i just as as i like to do and super tiny reports just you know we heard from evan wallace today about how exciting clash of the vikings were i think anthony
amato is in the back of the room and taking notes for his class but he's he's featured in one of these photos so good job anthony but the excitement of our kids engaged in this tradition of spirit in the middle of the year without question was outstanding i gotta thank our teachers and our high school administrative team who were there supporting the kids and making sure that they had a fantastic event so you can see some of those pictures we're really excited that sean steckelberg you know put up another sign celebrating the state championship of our volleyball team you can see that proudly displayed in our high school near the gymnasium and just some other photos of kids working together throughout our school system so any questions about any of those things no i'll just
announce i gotta go pick up one of those kids that sends one of those pictures from work someone cause i enjoyed earlier so i'm gonna face miss thank you all right that brings us to the board of education report i have a legislative uh committee meeting report attached for the board's information um our meeting on march 24th included i guess legislative director from monica wallace's office who presented how bills become laws in new york state went well beyond the schoolhouse rock video power bill becomes a law it was really really interesting everything from navigating the website to seeing how a bill will go from one house to from the house to the senate and back and the process that it undergoes and it was a very well put together presentation and very informative there's some
other information on there a rick tim's report and um some erie county school board is working on a position statement as well so some information for the board's review and that brings us to our discussion on uh vaping and vape detectors i think mr broker has an update for all of us good evening port uh as you uh remember as you remember about two meetings ago uh we did a presentation outlining some of the uh information i want to thank mr qatar vegan for putting that all together for us um but i wanted to come up today and just give you a little update since we last talked so i reached out to multiple districts i'm still waiting to hear back from a few but i was able to speak with administrators from maryvale uh
springville holland and uh erie tubosis and um their overall thoughts of the vape detectors they thought they were initial results were pretty positive i'd like to just touch on a few of the the positive comments that they had for that mousepad mr is that um maryvale was that where you went for tour in 2019 so maryvale's had it i think in 2019 it was a couple of years they'd had it they've had this since 2017 i think that was maybe one or two years old or 2018 so they've had it four well i think i think they got a 2019 because i think we met with them okay so we've had it three three years now so they still had positive 3000 things to say they did okay so uh you know just talking to
some of the multiple districts you know it's definitely another added layer of deterrent for for students um you know and that goes along with everything that we do normally in the school throughout the school day all the schools use a mix of real and dummy units throughout the building um and they've created discipline teams soon to be a famous creating discipline team to help address all the alerts um that's something i'll i'll talk about a little bit lower is you know many of the schools that put together almost the discipline task force to help respond to all the alerts that might consist of i know in maryvale they use a lot of their hall monitors in holland they had some a group of teachers that was working as their you know disciplinary committee and same
with springfield um often use cameras to find students and address them so there's an aspect of it they said you know there's a lot of camera reviewing footage um but it has been you know the the detectors pinpoint exactly locations and times so you can go back and you know exactly where you're where you're looking for we've also found it useful to start circulating you know lockdowns in different bathrooms like having different bathrooms available at different times currently we we do that at the beginning the very beginning of the very end of the day the viking mall bathrooms are always accessible but the the time of bathrooms and the academic wings are locked until the bell rings and then they're locked right before the bell rings and that eliminates um students congregating when they're supposed
to be getting to class or getting onto the bus but the buggy mall bathrooms are always accessible um one of the comments that we did get that i got was the the halo system even though they're more expensive that they felt that they did a much better job um i was talking to the intern principal at springville who was at iroquois and they had the halo system i believe the iroquois and now they have the fly sense and springville and he was stating that he felt that the the um the halo system had a better ability to detect the cbd components and dampens um and another thing that they pointed out is uh i know holland and eric boces actually had a free pilot program through erie two boces so you know those programs exist
out there to do you know a small sample just to review the effectiveness um a couple concerns you may not know the answer but i know they said they have a mix of real and dummy units do they rotate where those real and dummy ones are or it's like a dummy one that's a permanent dummy one and that's yeah those fixtures would be they would be permanent fixtures um but there's no you know only the administration and the company that was installed and would know which which is this bathroom often kind of well oftentimes there will be you know if you have two sensors in a bathroom one could be a real one that could be a dummy one so there's still an active detector in that battery okay so it's one that's not it
just um and speaking of you know there's there's always a continuing um you know the companies are always getting out of heaven it's the vape companies versus the detector companies so there are you know they've expressed the administrators talked about there are additives on the market that can render things um undetected undetectable different sensors most of the ghosts but many of the vapes that we catch are single use but the refillable ones could be added with with an additive to mask it um i know students in the past have built devices to maybe delay the alerts i'm not going to describe them right now in case any of the students are listening and when i get on ideas i would have had mr gordon the head of that hour but you know there are some
ways to maybe not maybe not completely dismiss the alarm but maybe delay it so you're out of there before it goes off um one one district talked about students hiding vapes where they're not able to be searched they actually talked about bringing parents in to search just their own students um there have been some false positives reported through different perfumes or body sprays or things like that and i do know that the erie ii the lugitus center they piloted for one year for era 2 cuban they ended up turning it off because it was for them it's a career tech center but it was becoming a little overwhelming responding to everything so it not only responded to it but having to go back and try to do all the video searches so that's some of
the feedback that i've gotten from some districts i'm still have some calls out to some larger ones just touch base with our students do any of our students have restriction after 9 00 pm for driving if you do you can come up to the board now and get your agenda signed if you're here for a class if you don't have a restriction then our board meeting shouldn't last much longer okay so this is last call if you have a restriction all right thank you very much so the the last update i wanted to give was i know uh two meetings ago we we spoke about the uh the fly sense and the halo devices and uh one of the updates that you had asked was for the halo devices there is a cloud licensing fee
to collect all the analytical data um so i was able to get some pricing on that the pricing as you can see is 155 430 or 657 that is per unit per year so at 22 units our approximate cost per year would be thirty four hundred ninety four hundred and for a five year plan would be fourteen thousand four hundred dollars that is for the uh the setup fee is one time per building but the licensing fee for the cloud for tracking the analytical data is 155 per unit per year so if we contracted and contrasted that with the with the fly sense data when we spoke with them that had a yearly recurring cost of 3 300 and that is a that is a mandatory part of the fly sense installation so one of
the buildings said they went with halo because it did not have that reoccurring cost the upfront cost was more expensive the units were more expensive but they felt they were better units and that they did not have that mandatory reoccurring cost mr broker for the halo did you say that that was aidable through one of the boces right now i don't know about that i can look i can look at that okay i just i couldn't remember if you had said it it was something that was able some of these recurring costs may not be i was just curious if there was yeah i could look into that i know i know that holland had said they had a free trial through erie two boces for the halo system oh okay it was just a
free trial yes how does the free trial work so they install it and they come and install it and just turn them off or i would imagine they'd come and install it and then if you decided to you know go with the product maybe those will be included if not they probably come and remove them from the building [Music] the installation cost i just went for the um you know i did free trial i can't imagine that i've made a minimum warranty but i i don't know i mean that would be another thing to ask the question you know right now mr burgers is the last slide yet yes okay does the board have any questions for mr filter um so if can you go back to the slide about the piloting again uh [Music]
there wasn't a slide about the free trial i just had mentioned that you know holland the principal holland had mentioned that erie two he was able to pilot a free trial through boces did he say charles there it is yeah so ear to oc's free child um yeah so i guess my question would be um what students said is do they is there a fee with the free trial for installation or is that included in the free trial i would i would almost assume that the free trial would be the two you possibly got two units for a bathroom and then the district would be responsible for installing it themselves both both companies talked about it's a pretty simple installation that most districts do themselves they could come and do it but it's at a
much higher cost the things i would mention though that yuri so we would first have to find out if we were even eligible to participate um in a free trial i do know gary one boces has done some trials for us that have not expanded to other component policies it's definitely something we're asking but it would definitely be something if they allowed us to do it that would require a cross contract because we're not that's not our participating just for information i just wanted to bring that up because we don't fall under e2 but we could inquire with eerie one about that that would be one question that i had is would you be able to get a free trial either through erie 2 or does your one do it if not and i am
curious so if you went with halo and you participated in the analytical data initially for you could do it for could you go back to that cost if you did it for 155 for one year on the devices we would need it would be what would the cost be 3 400 and then so after the first year if you had the analytical data and you knew the patterns for that year and you decided that you pretty much knew when it was occurring or it's not just not a required feature right it is a required feature for the supply side so you would not have to do it though in the second year so it could be it could be if you found it valuable information you could keep doing it the second or third year
just to see a trend in the data but if you had the first year data and were able to solve some of the vaping problems that you had or be able to address the issues with individual kids that you saw on video in the bathrooms that the detector was going off and you could not participate the second year so the thirty four hundred dollars could be a one-time fee with the halo that you paid to get that data and if you thought you needed it you could do it again but would it would not be mandatory but is that where you would go back to the book if you didn't respond right when the line went off or is that stored in a different place my understanding is that the alert system for the particular
alarm does alert you to the location and the time and that is tracked if you wanted to gather and keep that analytical data to look at to look at patterns to look at you know spikes throughout the year times and things like that the system itself would work as described you just wouldn't have that analytical data collection piece to an end to look at now i guess my last question would be would you be able to pilot would you be able to pilot this on a smaller scale do you have to invest in 22 devices or could you pilot say one bathroom maybe or do this on a smaller scale and see if you were able to if it was effective in identifying students that needed assistance with addiction to nicotine that needed assistance with
addiction for vaping uh yes i'm sure we could talk to the company about you know maybe special pricing or a pilot program to test the initial you know to test whether or not it's it's where the full-scale implementation okay so it's what it would be one thousand two hundred fifty dollars per device is there typically two in the bathroom it's like however bathrooms are large enough that most of them are required too and i already mentioned that on the slides that they've said that they did see some initial um results for those that the one they had for three years so they still think it's as effective did you ask that question i'm just curious you know i i did and you know they saw a big initial decline and then you know people smart
enough people running ways around things um it has been you know again it works as every year it works as a steady deterrent but there are you know some other factors that a lot of the schools have kind of built in to help support that so it's a multi-prompt approach the the detectors are one part of that so after talking of some other districts and what are your thoughts about right now or your administrative team how do you guys feel about it i think we really have to sit down and talk about you know i mean the effectiveness of it if there are other things we could implement in the building and talking with other other districts if there are other things we can implement in the building also that we might produce that um
but i think we need to talk about it about a you know even a pilot program like where that might be located you know i could see one of the nice benefits would be you know if they were located in the viking wall bathroom in our united security and other everybody had access to those alarms would you know be a way to monitor you know the bathrooms even after school you know if there was something that happened in them you could go back and losing cameras let's just take the the cameras are not in the bathrooms around their doors right yes the cameras are over i'm sorry i just want them yep that's fine all cameras are out in the hallways so if you had an alert at 2pm you would be able to look
at the cameras at 2 p.m in that hallway to see if we entered that bathroom at 2pm it's not that the camera's inside the bedroom it's out in the hallway um i just wanted to get the board a feeling of what the board's thoughts are on piloting a you know how in general how people feel about piloting something like this as well i think it depends on how you pilot it because i think if you pilot it in like two bathrooms i mean the students are smart i mean they're gonna avoid those two bathrooms i mean so i guess it would depend on how we could pilot like if we could get a free trial after remember that would you know see if that would work but i would be hesitant to just try going
to bed because i that's a good thought would we be able to get dummy would we be able to get dummy words for you know so it would so that students wouldn't know like nicole was saying they wouldn't know which bathrooms were on and which bathrooms were ones that were off and we could it would look like we had them in all the bathrooms but we have the sensors and just certain methods that we picked to pilot with four real units and eighteen dummy units to install uh even the domains need power run to them because they have lights on them so i would just say um it would be very interesting to know what we have in place already that would um work hand-in-hand or coincide with putting in the vapor detectors and for
me it's a huge expense i mean not that it's not an important issue i just for me it's a lot of money and i think you know you as an admin team have to sit down and really [Music] look at the numbers see what you're doing let us know what you're doing you know today because um we do have success and paying touching kids making but you know i am just they're smarter than us right and i i just want to make sure if we're going to spend that kind of money that we're going to you know i mean obviously one kid is is worth money i don't want to put but it's just a big outlet is my only concern but if you guys came back inside it was something that would work well
with what you were doing then you know it would be something to look at but i would also like to know what you guys are doing today because i know you guys with people out in front of the bathrooms and stuff that would have a system and it seems to be working well i mean yeah we're constantly monitoring the bathrooms we kind of take shifts we also use our sro we do have some teachers that help us monitor the bathrooms and we have use if we use our hall monitors also um you know like i said during the beginning of the day and the end of the day the academic bathrooms are closed so you can kind of focus on the viking wall bathrooms and kind of centralize any of that really just being present
being around is a huge deterrent so you try to be visible have staff be visible and you know we talked about we have some policies in place about having more than one person in the stall open time then that's runs for surgery you know and at least with suspension also so we have some other policies in place that students now know about that allow us give us the ability to go in and pull this out and have those conversations with them i am waiting to hear back i don't want to talk to a couple larger schools you know the schools i was able to talk to maryvale springville holland are smaller smaller buildings i know talking to maryville they talked about how they have two bathrooms and they just close one and close the other
one so i'd like to talk to um we need to talk to jeff fisher over at and colin durant [Music] in a month or so or maybe june or july just to give the board an update on the total aggregate numbers of kids you know that received suspensions or where discipline numbers are yes do you find a lot of like the one used vapes like thrown out stops places or wherever compared to the continuous ones i mean i don't personally know what the difference is on them we've had uh talking to our knife story we just had her pull four of them out of the toilet in the biking wall okay we have had two toilets taken off the floor because they were clogged with vapes so are they throw at those ones that they're
flushing eyeballs like the single used ones or are those the ones are they mix the balls it doesn't matter i would just rather prefer that you want to throw it out and not get cautious with the garbage so horrible i just didn't know if there was i mean i know we don't want to close but i just didn't know if there's like we find more of the single-use ones i guess lush fence i i think i would definitely sign say that i find more of the single-use pens more so than the refillables the single-use ones that are also higher so um quick question i definitely would like to know i agree with sue's analysis but i also would like to know if you can get information on a rollout with erie one boces like how
just how they would roll it out here how many they would give us do they stay do they go because i see you know we have a free trial through year two and we don't qualify but i really would kind of want to know about that because i would want to look at the data in a trial run obviously before i would be prepared to vote too but i can reach out and reach out to erie and how it's time to talk to them about yeah if this is a program that they do support or roll out even if they haven't in the past maybe we could be the pilot of the pilot sure excuse me mr broker could you just make sure and you can report back to myself or ruby or mike under
i just want to fully understand why erie 2 is partnering with and providing some free trial and everyone isn't i just quickly uh ruby i just went through maureen taylor's list of programs and services i do not see five cents or halo on that list don't forget boces is a cooperative so that could mean that multiple districts were interested in doing something and that's how it's offered boces does not usually offer a service or a flow through because one kid wanted to [Music] use them so i think a perfect example would be forecast five when they were really getting that underway they were offering some free components to get district buy-in but it's multiple um districts i don't i it's not hard either one of us can reach out to erie too to see how
it gets started but i can tell you the only way erie one boces will pick this up is if another district is at least one other district i it might have been erie 2 might have been able to offer that when they rolled it out and installed into their own building because they were installing it into the one of their own cte centers as a pilot so they might have been able to offer that at that time to another district that might have been at it that that's just important information because we can't cross contract with yuri ii or other boces if they have this as a coaster and they're allowing it right the free components only usually that's what they're trying to get it implemented but we can we'll definitely ask them can i
just add that i believe that when we met with erie uh or with maryvale that theirs was involved in some kind of a pilot whether i don't remember whether it was through everyone or whether it was directly with fly sense and i don't think that they funded everything i think there was just a subset subsidized portion of it through them and they paid for a reduced rate with all of the equipment but it was definitely still funded by the district at at least half costs you're not a hillary because i know you were with that meeting it sounds about right from when we met right yeah they were giving some pretty deep discounts at the time to try to get their product off the ground and halo is a relatively new company so that could
be a possibility with that company but fly sense is very established now so they don't have as much discounting there is a grant too i don't know if anyone remembers the grant yeah [Music] as well so that might be anger micro might be a um another location look forward to fund something like this they had a grant that they were giving school districts to install yeah so that brings us to committee of the whole items or information for the roundtable starting with jane hi i'm also nice tonight so i just want to say this grandmother is here courses are opening because i know my dance belting on monday so you all get on practice for july 18 to participate in the gizmo golf tournament but all kidding aside it is a great fundraiser to give
scholarships to our students and also um help fund some of the programs we do here so it's a great benefit to our kids so let's practice our students that um if you're if you're like me you rely heavily on the print version of our calendar it does tell you on the print version or calendar that there is no school but good news is that we do have school on friday this coming april 8th um so after friday we will celebrate the spring break but we are having classes on friday and to um amy's stupid show congratulations i expect all of your speeches when you get your awards to plug the gizmo golf tournament just a quick update on family support services um we horizons who was usually with us on mondays they just committed to
another day on thursdays to see our students gateway actually lost their provider but we do have a replacement it's called mobile counseling they will be in district office on tuesdays from 8 am to 11 and then they will venture out to houston kagabine from 11 to 3. um family and health services who we also used to contract with still doesn't have a provider so we reached out and we do have a private practitioner and close and she will start working with us on april 9th sorry um from 3 p.m on for those families that can't make appointments during the day and they have to go into the evenings so great uh you know great news so just wanted to share thank you dr greater so uh just briefly you know um and all the work
that we do occasionally we're asked recently in last year um and particularly over the past few months we've received questions about whether or not our school district is teaching critical race theory i just want to make sure that our community understands that our district follows the new york state standards and it does not include political race theory we do encourage our students to be independent thinkers and we do not support the indoctrination of any specific political belief system everyone has the right to know what's being taught in our schools the new york state education department proudly displays all of the standards and performance indicators for all of our contents if you're particularly interested visit new york state education department.gov curriculum and instruction k-12 social studies framework if you're particularly interested in reviewing that as the
board of education knows the mission of our district is to inspire students to achieve at their highest potential by fostering academic excellence personal growth and social responsibility we will continue to operate with the understanding that keeping the concepts of equity diversity and inclusion at the forefront of our thoughts and actions ultimately fosters a culture that encourages excellence for all of our students i just wanted to address that i know that sometimes that comes up it came up last year and started to come up this year i just wanted people to fully comprehend that and if at any time uh somebody would like to reach out to myself or uh mr laura we'd be happy to sit down and review that more thoroughly so thank you very much thank you um i just want to congratulate
our western new york education service council uh recipients uh mrs bentee cheryl cardone see marston congratulations i'm looking forward to the dinner april 26th and a couple of dates april 11th through the 18th this spring recess certainly is monday after easter we are off as well right so students will come back that tuesday parents so just take note of that april 19th is the board of education meeting our budget adoption and era one boces budget vote and election may 9th is another board of education meeting at 7 30 pm and the budget hearing is at 7pm with that i'd like to ask for a motion to adjourn the regular board meeting at 9 21 pm please and a second all in favor hi thank you 6-0 good night everyone
