001meeting to order. I pledge allegiance I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for it stands one indivisible. >> I'd like to ask for motion for item 1.03 03 approval of the regular board meeting agenda upon the recommendation of the superintendent to exclude the December 15th, 2025 regular board meeting agenda. >> Second. >> Right. Any questions on the agenda? Right. All in favor? >> I post. >> I'd like to ask for set motion for item 1.04, approval of the regular board meeting minutes. Upon the recommendation of the superintendent to approve the December 1st, 2025 regular board meeting minutes. >> Second. >> Any questions on the minutes for December 1st? >> Changes, updates. All in favor? >> Is anybody sign? >> No, that's it. Um, no community relations.

002Any elementary and or middle school? >> Yes. In the elementary report is the season for giving and understanding cultures and traditions around the world. With that in mind, the elementary just wrapped up the second year of the holiday shot fundraiser hosted by RCFA. Students have real life experiences in creating lists for loved ones, fudging their funds, wrapping their special gifts. Classrooms across the building are also studying holiday celebrations around the world. Each grade level is studying a different culture and their traditions which will be displayed this week. The experience wraps up with our annual holiday PJ sing along on Friday morning. The elementary student council has been busy sorting mail from our genial elementary post office as well as sorting items and are lost and found to be eventually donated if not claimed. We also

003found success with our 13 days of present presence featuring many ways daily attendance is important uh as well as kicking off our golden tray weekly awards for classes who have been role models for our expectations in the cafeteria. The classes are treated to a special golden tray to hang outside their doors as well as a golden lunch table experiences with games and music. We wish you all a wonderful break. That's it. All right, Alison. Thank you. >> Any questions for Allison in the report? Any presentations? No presentations. >> Right. So that we come right to you. >> Yeah. >> All right. So we will I'll start out with a sports highlight. We just recently found out that all six fall varsity teams hosted at Jio as well as our varsity cheer which is merged with

004Mount Morris receive uh the NYSHAA scholar athlete team award which means team GPA over 90% and 63 individual student athletes receive an individual scholar athlete award. So pretty impressive. >> Nice. Um, you you just heard from Ally about some great things going on in the elementary school. I want to say I did stop down to their winter shop, their holiday shop there. Phenomenal. Like I couldn't believe I walked in and it just a huge spread of things and the students really were they were like thinking about what they needed to get, thinking about the budget that they had and how to spread that out. So very impressed, very nice job and great connection with the PTSA. Um, a heartwarming story. If you didn't hear about this already, we have Lucas, a first grader here at

005Jennio Elementary School, has been working really hard to sell Buffalo Bills bracelets and raise nearly $7500. Now, most first graders with $7,500 is going to go on a shopping spree, but probably more for the things that they're looking for. Not Lucas. He went out and bought a bunch uh toys and different items and donated them to the hospital in Gansville. An amazing feat. So, you think about that, how many bracelets he had to sell. Uh and such a very mature young man who certainly has such a big heart and that go blue pride. So, um I went down to see him. He's getting a lot of attention right now. went down to see him and he's just so proud of of of his efforts and and all that he was able to give back. So

006I asked him if he was able to meet any of the patients the presence went to and he was like just no I didn't I wasn't able to. So I know he was disappointed but man what a big heart. >> Um we have a lot of cool activities going on around the schools. You heard about some of them but our next kinder senior activity is this Thursday. They can be playing board games, candy canes, and hot cocoa, right? It doesn't get better than that. We have um the elementary and middle school high school buildings have their traditional elk hunts going on right now. So, that's a big hit for faculty and staff. Clues go out to the tune of 12 days of Christmas and there are prizes for the winners. So, it's a nice holiday

007spirit uh type of activity. and seniors in the college prep ELA course are partnering with third grade students to write a fictional story where they write a story and they illustrate it as well together. So, pretty neat partnership there. As you know, we're in the heart of our winter concert season. We had many concerts already and it's going to continue through this week where we have the middle school high school chorus concert on Tuesday and our grades three through five chorus concert performing on Thursday. Concerts have been such a highlight this month and a true testament to the performing arts talent that we have in the district with our students as well as our teachers. So overall, everyone's feeling the holiday spirit and I'm sure I speak for everyone when we say for students and

008staff, we're looking forward to a little time with our family and friends. Uh time to kind of just get caught up and um relax a little bit. So that's my report. Thank you very much. All right. Any questions at all? >> Questions? Thank you. Moving right along. Did finance meet tonight or? >> No, not tonight. Policy >> policy. >> Yeah, we met tonight. We reviewed five policies. Uh policy and administrative regulations for board uh regular board meeting minutes and forum and parliamentary procedures. Special meeting for board documentation of the appropriate minutes and then the executive sessions are the next group of policies to come through. one component of policy 1510 which is regular board meeting minutes, rules, form, public procedures and such. We discussed this the last time uh at an open session in regards

009to amount of time given for the public to speak. Um the example policy that came out of um Bosey's blow um mirrors are to a certain extent uh one caveat is that is that 30 minutes um would be the would be the time frame to capture the entire public session. uh with that correlation um they're suggesting that we move away from the twominut to move it into a three minute uh time frame for the individuals to speak. Um if the three minutes up and the individual still has um in and is still engaged in a u a presentation to the board and and still has a a little bit of time to go, the board can vote quickly to allow another two minutes for the individual to come to conclusion on their statement and stuff

010like that. um following pretty much this this follows pretty much a lot of the protocol in the other school districts that are around us and such like that. Um so that's one of the u one of the things for discussion maybe want to bring up under business guide because we have visited that once before in regards to that time frame for 11. Okay. Yeah. Right. Yeah, I see we have a number of number for review on tonight's agenda. >> Yes, we do. Oh, yeah, we do. The under list of that first read. That's second and done. We'll vote on those for approval. >> All right. Anything you want to say on those before we get to them and the votes? >> Um, it seems like a lot, you know, I mean, it is. There was

01113 meetings there or 13 policies. But you got to take into perspective the actual um hard policy itself. Most of them were just a paragraph. They're main and stuff like that. They were very direct, very to the point. And putting them into comparison to what was existing in our old manual. It's just sentence structure, paragraph structure. The verbage was identical. It's just cleaned up a little bit in grammar and stuff like that. Do you carry that book around often? >> Um, it's interesting reading. >> He does. >> His wallet. >> Thank you. [laughter] >> Put in my wallet. >> Very passionate. >> No, but seriously, thank you Kevin. >> Thanks. You're right. >> It's a big project, but it's much needed. >> Very much so. We'll have a we'll have a very good when when

012we're done, we're going to have a very very good uh policy manual moving forward from that. The review of the policy manual is going to be extremely easy for the community to do. All right. We'll be very succinct how we go through that process and then all we have to do is be aware of what's on the horizon in regards to any drastic changes or anything that comes down from you know like MISPA is promoting or state education may change and it's just quick snapshots to do it we're right back into into play. Okay, good. And for those digital folks like me that is online any four times. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> All right. Just >> I don't care. >> I like Yeah, I like that. Right. >> Right. >> That works

013for me. All right. Thank you. >> I get anything on GCEF tonight? Nothing. Okay. When do you meet next? You know, >> January. >> Yes. January. >> January. Next year. >> Well, you can say just next year. >> Next year. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Which will be here before you know. >> Yes. Thank you. Okay. Kevin to personnel. >> I'd like to ask for that motion on the personnel for items 8.02 to 8.13. >> Second. >> Any questions on the personnel list? We are approving an extension for Elena tonight and they fill in toward Diane while she starts. With that, thank you both. All right. Hearing no comments. All in favor? Any opposed? Under new business section 9 like to ask for consent vote for 9.02 to 9.06. >> Any questions on any

014of the these items here? There's a some new courses that are part of this. We did the policies Kevin referenced earlier and an SEI agreement for the doors that have been finalized. >> Yes sir. >> I don't have a question just a request if um the new course gender studies uh goes next year and if students want to take it. I was just wondering if the board could receive a term outline. >> Sure. >> Yeah. Good request. Thank you. [clears throat] All right. Any further questions, comments? >> All in favor? >> I posted and told. All right. Under item number 10, business office would like to ask for consent motion for 10.02 and 10.03. >> Second. Any questions on check warrants or donation? All in favor? I any oppose? Moving right along tonight. We will

015just after I get done with my comments, we'll be entering into an executive session to to meet with our lawyer on uh some matters related to some pending litigation. Matt, once I'm done here, we'll enter executive session. >> Yeah. >> Did you want to talk about the >> Are there any questions from the board regarding what I the policy committee is suggesting? >> Um, >> okay. >> So, you're moving you're you're moving it from two minutes to three minutes. >> Okay. I mean, I I think we've been really lenient. Yeah, I didn't have I don't think I don't think anybody's been sitting here with a tough stopwatch like oh you know >> like I think you know we allow the public a different reason to to get their viewpoint across but I think it's good

016to have a policy in place in case you know we experience what >> others in our field have across the the nation. Well, you know, we want to be fair. >> Yeah. >> All right. And we want to make absolutely certain that individuals that come speak at our meetings and stuff like that. Obviously, taking time. >> I I guess I'm not opposed to either two minutes or three minutes. I don't think, as Matt said, we don't stand here. There's no trap door. We don't stand here with a watch stopwatch. >> But if we could get a trap door, >> maybe. But no, I I think it's fair that >> we've been very flexible in the past. Whether it's 2 minutes or 3 minutes, we'll still be flexible. >> Okay. >> I think the 3 minutes

017was two just seemed really hard to say everything that you need to see >> and and just in good faith to say here's what we want for fairness. Um, and again, rarely would we be like, tick tock, but if we've got 15 people lined up, it's a long night. Yeah. So, >> yeah, we had a long discussion about >> and the conclusion that we came to basically was that we want to hear everyone's voice and we're not going to shut down the voice, but it's good to have the policy in case, you know, you do have to allocate a certain amount of time to public comment and then like Bobby to your point, um if there's ever a situation where there are a lot of people that want to speak, you do have the guidance

018to say, "Please try to keep it within the free range." >> Yeah. And and it seems as though if there's something going on that's eliciting that type of public response, we would probably better address that in a different forum than than our region two years ago, we did just that. Yeah. >> And we do have it stated here. Let's just All right. [clears throat] >> Oh, yeah. I'm going to So, just not so much just a few reminders here as we begin to kind of wrap up this calendar year. Not the school year, but the calendar year. uh will be kicking off right after the first of the year of the budget and the budget review process. I know the audit finance committee will be actively involved in that in January. One of our meetings

019in January we will have um Boseies GV Boseies will be here to discuss their capital project. So keep that in mind as we evaluate our budget and hear what their considerations are. We are uh working, Mike and I are working, Superintendent Boswick and I are working on on a rough draft that we'll share with the board and then not do this in the future about goals for the district and the board. So, we've uh had a couple of iterations on that. I think we're really close right now. I would say tentatively planned for February 11th on a board retreat. That full day will be a part of our our annual board review is to take a walk around the school. That'll be done during the day and then a little later uh the day we'll

020have the board retreat. So more to follow on the details of that but tenatively planned for that day. That's a Wednesday by the way. Um we will have a board evaluation very shortly and uh in concert with the rest of the the district and goals and so on. So that's in process. Uh I want to echo superintendent Boster's comments relative to Luke Redn's. Um I did email him and I did tell him he is my holiday hero if you would from that perspective of giving him that title. But uh with that also I want to say given the holiday season uh happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate Hanukkah from the 14th to the 21. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate Christmas and the 25th and happy Quanza to those who celebrate that 26th through January

0211st. Happy holidays and New Year's to all. With that, any other comments from anybody else thoughts? All right. With that, um, entertain a motion to go to executive session. Uh, so the president board wants it. I have to ask for a consent motion to go to executive session on recommendation of the president of the board to discuss proposed. >> Second. >> All in favor? I close. So, thank you everybody. Happy holidays to you all. Happy holidays.
