001let's relance to the okay first item on the agenda is adjustments to the agenda yep there are no adjustments to the agenda okay next item public comments regarding agenda items gu anyone Cory anything to say okay next item new business tenative agreement for the 2023 24 El bargaining bargaining agreement between GCC and the Green Castle Classroom Teachers Association yeah so we reached ten agreement on October 24th uh the gcta met this morning and ratified ratified the agreement and so the next step is to have this tenative agreement Hearing in which we um essentially allow discussion of terms of the tenative agreement this has been posted on the website and all this has to be done 72 hours uh before the board can ratify or approve um the collective bargaining agreement so as you can see
002in front of you we made adjustments to um our salary scale so the new starting uh salary for bachelor is 45,000 tops out at 76810 uh for Masters 46,000 tops out at 78 517 so we've been able to continue to move the scale on that way and then as you work your way down each level below is 2% greater than the level above um so we have to transition obviously um everyone onto the well everyone to the new scale um so so there's language there on eligible returning teachers um they'll be placed on the appropriate level and then if they worked 120 days uh last school year um they also get their step down um so that we we keep everybody on the correct level um that they're supposed to be at we did the
003mass adjustment um last year and then um obviously there's language there for new hires again very similar to how we've done in the past but we have to Define that and then on ecas um remember a couple years ago we indexed those um they were indexed 42,000 and now with adjusting the first the starting salary for beginning teacher and the bachelor moving to 45,000 we obviously bumped that to 45 which is also increased those uh according to uh the percentages and then we just have a couple of additional ECA positions we started Middle School baseball and softball last year our coaches were voluntary we placed those on the scale similar with Middle School to how they work Middle School soccer we're having a high school orts sponsor excuse me similar that's similar to the academic
004coaches adding our district Fab Lab coordinator since Mr hail I was going to assist leading all of our Fab laps our middle school and our high school U we have some extra days but as well this is for all that additional work um outside of the day to help leave that and then the final thing that we're going to do um is the gcta one in some language that um we meet three times between January and May 2015 and again this is just for U just review of some of our uh just to you know make sure that we we have it updated they want to look at you know number of positions and that kind of thing um so typically you do that outside of bargaining season because it's a lot of work a
