All right. The United States for America. Make sure the public approach stands. And the motion to approve the minutes, I would give the 20th, 2026, the fortification meetings, as presumably. So moved. Questions, governments? Ours? Okay? Motion will pass the second period. And like, uh, I would welcome John Reagan and Mike Knight from Reagan Insurance up, uh… We're going to do a short presentation. Ward. Thank you. They've already given us the class, but we wanted to do a film of… presentation. As I said in the budget presentation earlier, this is our 12th year. And, uh, Joe and Shane know firsthand, where Shane know I saw them. They know the… I don't know, it's a 20- or 30-page document. I talked to… I didn't get into detail during the presentation, but it's literally a 20 or 30-page
audit. Where we go through and we check off and check that we have things in place, and then Utica National, along with Raven Insurance, they go through and it gets scored. And, um, we're pretty honored and privileged to have Our 12th year in a row, um, of getting the safety excellence Award, as well as the titanium with honors, which is their highest, um, piece. The other piece that I want to do as a thank you to Reagan Insurance is we have the, um, Reagan Helping Hand Funds. There, um, was established 3 years ago. This past, um, uh, two years, we've been able to buy, um, uh, glasses for two students, a hearing aid for another one. And on one more that I'm drawing a blank from. And, um, those families want to have the access
to that OCS want to have the access to that if it wasn't for Reagan Insurance. And, um… the legacy of the new grandfather. So, thank you very much. Thank you. But this isn't made possible without the partnership we have. But then, like, I don't think… Thank you, guys, we appreciate it. Congratulations. He wants… a motion to grant tenure to the tenure policy? DPSC, CSE Chair Student Services Coordinator, Executive, 7 forms between those two braces. So who? All those in favor? Or are we? Aye. At some point, before we reach the end of the school year, Um, just a calendar for, uh… or be used for 26-27. Native changes on this, based upon more changes are done this year. Um, just a few tweaks, so… We still have two meetings. Um, during the budget, uh, development portion. They have two meetings
in, uh, September to start the school year. And then October, we go to 1, November 1, December 1. Uh, January's what we… And then February, can't believe it, we haven't even, uh, presented, you know, I had a bunch of MoGAP, we're already talking about. you know, next year's calendar and the budget cycle. So, two in February, 2 in March. Uh, June and April. 2 and May, two in the budget, um… vote. It usually gets together for that. Um, to see the results at 920. And then 2 of June, so… It's not on the agenda for approval tonight, but it gives everyone another look at it. We looked at it several months ago, I think it was. just bring it back on your radar. If there's anything you want changed, um… You can change it for
you just kind of based on basic economy. This current year and previous years, um, meetings. And then, uh… And for the next meeting, uh… Well, we have one board candidate? Um, student board candidate to, um, was interested in being on the board next year, so happy to go have a partner, uh, on the board, Maxwell is graduating. We're going to miss him, uh, very much. Um, so, uh, I'll be sharing that information in your mind within the coming week. Okay? We only had one student apply. So, I knew, I knew that about you, but I have heard me on both four this year, so I was wondering how it got decided if there was done, perfect. And your captain? Yes. And a lot of times, I didn't know that. Remember, we set up. in a
shoefer to have two children, so then the junior comes on, The senior will be there, um, to help, you know, guide them through some mentorship. Here's the… No, that's okay, though. Very good, thank yous. Administrative staff reinforce business office. Okay, um, the district has earned nearly $236,000 of interest and $112,000 of which is from the general fund. Um, I need to look back year-to-date comparison. It's actually 13% less than last year. interest rates are down. Delunder, I think. bring up every time a godsend, but at the same time… Continue checking account, so… Change directions for us there. Uh, for food service, the district has earned $5,441 during the month of March, profits are 27% higher compared to last year. The superintendent and I met with representatives from West Jenny to begin contract discussions for the
upcoming years. Um, and reviewing the outlook of the food service program. Uh, we're gonna have an SRO hearing, uh, before the June 2nd meeting, so our meeting after the budget meeting. The notice has been posted to the newspaper already, the proposed contract is posted in draft form on your annual notifications from the district webpage, and will be sent to count stakeholder input letters. So, uh, all stakeholders had an opportunity to weigh in and vote for that, but I'm sure. And then the hope would be we can either adopt on June 2nd or the, uh, Probably a meeting, uh, the first two. Superintendent spoke about it during the public hearing. The Senate committee was scheduled to be today. Uh, to consider a bill to push back EV buses from the 2032 Uh, from 2735 for those
who start the transition, 27 who can't buy anymore, 2 you can't have gas in the road, 2035 to slide both of them back. Um, I have to see an update on if they had an interest in doing that or not, but that was the timeline to 2030 to 2040. Um, so, hopeful. something's catching. And it's like… Maintenance. Alright, so we've got the product update over at IA building, um, sort of last section of the floor has been poured today. It's looking great. collect here, it's 5 to 7 days. Um, all underground plumbing has been stubbed out and connected to our existing septic. Alright, so that's… that's completed also. Upstate Electrical's on-site, continuing with their installation. running a lot of conduit, a lot of bricks, you know, panel boxes. Um, and also the frameworks are in
there, framing up the walls. It's really coming together. Now you can start seeing what it's gonna look like in there. So, it's very… Very cool so far, um… general equation or safety officer for BOTES came out, we had, uh, we had him do a man-lift training for our guys for our maintenance and grounds, and they had custodians. in the district, so they're trained on our mainland. Uh, for safety, and the other thing is, um, I'd like to thank, uh, ECK for their donation of the new Field Behind District Office. That's completed by our ECK, your proof came out, along with our crew, our grounds maintenance crew, and we finished it up over the last week, two weeks, and uh, it's ready to be played on. So, thank you to ECA for all their help today.
their donation, thank you. Um, grants, grants grew. We have one extra person now, so hopefully we're back up and running again. Thank you for approving. graph, um, and uh, you know, they've just been running, everybody, uh, you know, trying to keep the grounds, uh, safe and playable for everybody. You know, from Brass Schwartz would keep out the ticks, to, you know, getting ball fields ready when nobody else can play games, so… Um, big thank you to that. Thank you to maintenance and grounds, and of course, Custodial. Okay, so… that's about all I got. Thank you. Thank you. Transportation. little picture running very smooth in district, um… My next point, though, I will start with slaves in that, uh, April shower, great May flowers. Some people love Mother Nature knows not May. Um… So on that
note, I want to thank Brian and Trish for updating me as soon as they find out any changes in that life events. Um, I don't want to steal this thunder, but I think just as fast as we hit 7 events that we got. Um, so that would go into 2, but also, and I appreciate your transportation staff, for their flexibility on day-to-day changes that we anticipate them taking a trip. quite fine out two hours prior to that that trip's canceled. We're just gonna go… book another trip, so… Precisely for the staff we have, administration to go on and keep us informed. So, our special education committees are working through our preschool and school-age annual review meetings. We should be finishing up preschool. Next few weeks. Um, we're also working on the implementation of new software.
It's called MTSS Edge. to document our interventions for both academics and social-emotional support. We have a series of meetings between now and the fall, so that we'll be ready for our fall implementation. So it's one to stop shopping for all of our interventions there. Any questions? Um, good evening, everybody. So, I just want to start off by recognizing that it is Teacher Appreciation Week. Um, we have some incredible, incredible teachers here in this district at Rockwell City that I get to work with every single day. Um, we, um, wanted to extend a big thank you to the PTO, who provided lunch today to all these tenders for the entire staff. Um, um, the district office, donuts and bagels yesterday. There's things that I've been doing throughout the week for the teachers, too. And all those
things are great, but it just doesn't even scratch the surface to really, um, give them what they're due for… in terms of all of the hard work that they put into the students all the time. Um, I see so many members, so many teachers go above and beyond to make, um, Rockwell the place that it is, and I'm very thankful to be working with such talented and dedicated educators. Okay, so, uh, just big kudos. Um, update on pre-K enrollment, we did have our enrollment close on May 1st. Um, 29 families received letters that they had received… secured a spot in the pre-K program. We do have 37 students on the list, and just awaiting paperwork for those remaining spots. I believe that two of those with the 37, however, are including students who are non-residents,
so they would be automatically put to the waitlist if they hit 36. Um, until we potentially would, if we got up to a number that we could sustain a third section. So I would… As well. Um, those families who have not returned their paperwork, we have fit in contact with them, letting them know that at this point, their spot is not secured, and they do need to get the paperwork in sooner rather than later in order to make sure that they do have access. We've had a visiting author today, um, Gary and Carol Van Rickert, the author of The Adirondack Kids and also the aunt and uncle of Laura Swedak, so she helped facilitate them coming to Rockwell today. Um, they did a great presentation, they also were able to sell books for students as
well, autographed copies. Um, they shared a lot about their process. It was really neat because they are actually their co-author with their son and started writing the books with me. third grade, so they talked about what it like to become an author. So that is really great for the students. And, um, pending your questions. That's all I have for now. Good evening, everyone. Um… Fortunately, with the order, KDO is just steal from some of my thunder. Uh, I'd like to, uh… echo some of those things. Uh, staff dealer, this is my first year at Wheeler, and we do have amazing, incredible, dedicated teachers at Wheeler. I'm actually lucky to be there and see their hard work every day. Uh, again, thank you to PTO, uh, everything you've been doing to support that. Uh, this week.
Um, couple updates, uh, we finished the CBT testing ELA last week. It went, uh, smooth. We didn't have any issues, uh, a couple weeks ago, we didn't have any issues with that. Um, uh, that was reported in the local media. Uh, Mathis this week, uh, tomorrow and Thursday. Uh, next week, uh, The 12th will be the science, mystery, and Science. We're all prepared for that. Intramurals are the same as before. I'd like to recognize, um, the elementary cent, uh, 10 elementary students all coming this weekend. Uh, for performances, they did a fantastic job. Um, so, uh, kudos to them. Um, couple other things, just tidbits, uh… I'd like to echo what Shane said. I'm one of the, um, I'm the assistant coach for Garcity Softball. And I can reiterate that we have been playing this
year when no other team has been. Um, this field came out, uh, superbly. Um, it is the best I've seen it in my 5 years here. Uh, we've actually had comments from other teams and coaches, uh, letting the infield and everything they've been doing. So, all the updates to the grounds has been phenomenal. Um, side note, Fire Club, they'll be going to… Where are we going? Oh, we're going Boston. Boston on Sunday, Boston on Sunday, it is the third leg in the big city, uh, trio that I promised the kids, uh, although I'm not at the high school, uh, still making that happen. So, uh, I'm taking about 40 of them on, uh, Sunday. I know it is Mother's Day, I apologize to all the mothers, uh, but some, some… Zombie shots? Since some have
reached out to me and thanked me for that, so, uh, appreciative of that. Um, but, uh, we're gonna go there for the day, attend the Red Sox game, visit the local fire department. Uh, thank you to Mr. Burton and his connections there, um, and then we're gonna spend the rest of the day, uh, at Quincy Market and tour in the city and come back the same day. So, um, any questions for me? Thank you, Grace. Thank you. Uh, good evening. Uh, so, just to echo what Eric and Katie both said, uh, we have excellent teachers, and congratulations to them. Uh, for all their hard work, I just wanted to echo that as well. They're phenomenal, so thank you for all their hard work. We had 18 students from OCS that Eric mentioned, for the Nisma
Sola Festival at ESM High School, um, and all of the students scored impressively, so we are all very proud of them. From the high school, our own Abby Fryer, uh, at Soprano was, uh, one of them. Uh, Clara Braun, an 8th grade student soprano, Ian Powell, a 10th grade student, uh, Allstate flute audition, received a score of 99. Uh, Frankie Lazinski, a 10th grade student in clarinet, was Alto Allstate, um, and received a score of 99 as well. Rosie and Dino, a 9th grade student soprano, Colton Cummings, 10th grade, uh, tenor, Matthew Lazinski, 8th grade tenor, and Weston Cummings, uh, 7th grade alter. So, congratulations to all of them for their hard work and dedication to that. Uh, just an update we have on this Friday at Paul Shannon. Uh, we have our senior breakfast
in the morning, and then promin at night. And then Senior Awards is going to be on May 19th at 7.45 at the high school in the morning. Um, and then the high school and, uh, band and chorus concerts will be that night, uh, of budget night. Um, and then we have 8th grade science exams starting tomorrow when we finished up ELA and math last week. We did not have any technical issues either, so it all went smoothly, and the kids did a great job. So, and again, thank you for all the teachers' hard work and everything they did. Any questions for me? Alright, thank you. I'm not sure how it's going by so fast that Spring Senior Nights are coming in. Um, so I just want to run through the schedule for spring senior nights.
Yesterday, we had varsity Softball Senior Night Day 1 against APW. Um, tomorrow we have varsity Track Senior Night, boys and girls. Um, they're playing on Tech Charter and SAS at their beat. We have varsity tennis on Thursday versus Phoenix. Uh, Varsity Girls Lacrosse, also Thursday versus Mexico, that game we played at Tully, um, as that is the host school this year. Uh, varsity boys lacrosse is next Tuesday, the 12th, versus Casadovia. That game will be played at Lafayette. And varsity baseball is next Friday versus Cato Moran. So that is the senior night schedule. I have a couple shout-outs I'd like to give out, um, for celebrations. For senior Ryan Victoriano. On Friday of last week, Ryan threw a perfect game against Lafayette in an 11-0 victory. Ryan also surpassed 200 career strikeouts to Tiger on
Monday's game versus APW. So, a couple big achievements for Ryan in the last couple of games. Um, our spring teams are having a lot of success this spring. We are looking forward to postseason play coming up in just a couple of short weeks, and we are excited to announce that it's looking like we may have a couple home games again this spring. Um, and the last thing I have is a little bit of recognition. Onondaga Central School District was recognized by NISPUS for sportsmanship. We were given the Award of Excellence for Exemplary display of sportsmanship, Ethics, and integrity. Which is awarded in recognition of the school's efforts in evaluating and advancing sportsmanship policies, procedures, and programs. Great, thank you. Great. You three important issues. I don't have anything really from, like, Tomorrow and would also
like to thank all of the… teachers in all the districts, like, on behalf of all of the students, they… They made us, like, they make it possible for us to… do anything in his life, really. Go past high school. It is that they have the foundation for all of that very, very important. That's all. Um, not really just… So, um… what? Once the clarify, we also want spa gift certificates and permission not to parent on Mother's Day. Enjoy having you around. And she wants a spa gift certificate and not have to mirror on Mother's Day. I guarantee it, yeah. Okay, um, but then also, I was just wondering if we could, in the future, put the tests on the district calendar? Um, you can put that on there, and they send a notification yesterday to
not make appointments for kids for the test dates, which are Wednesday and Thursday. So, a lot of us make those appointments here in advance, and I was guilty of this year. doing it for the second year in a row, orthodontist appointment, and then had a freak out, and was like, ah! And then I looked at the sun. So that would be great to put the test. like the district calendar. currently still on monitoring, so… And also, thank you, thank you, teachers, um, I think it's, um, not lost on me that Teacher Appreciation Week and Nurse Appreciation Week and Mother's Day are all in the same week, because, God forbid we have our weeks. Um, but thank you all for all that you do. Uh, we appreciate you. Uh, nothing much to say yet, just, uh,
my time's winding down on this. board, but I think, um… I actually appreciate our 20 years. I've been involved with this history. having kids here are just right. the best district, uh… to raise a family, and I'm always recruiting people to come down with me. find a house and, you know, meet their kids in English district, because it's, uh… It's growing, and I would like to see more students here, but I appreciate all the work that you guys are doing towards me. And, uh, one last thing. I just wanted to go over my head. The officer appears to me. women have to stay home. I'm sorry, next. Thank you to the teachers again for the great job that they do. It also changed through… this weather's been crazy, lots of rain, and they're doing it,
so thank you guys for having started working with me. Yeah, thank you to the teachers, and it's nice to see through emails and hearing, you know, different ways that you're being appreciated this week. It's great. Congratulations to the students that were mentioned earlier, for their… accomplishments, like, curiosity. And… to prospective board members, uh, candidates, It's a big tremendous. A lot of time. And, uh, sounds like some other good candidates. Good luck to y'all. Uh, I was obviously saying for November 7th, um, to beg me for teachers. Obviously, all of us having kids in school… well, any of us have kids in school. And, uh, you know, obviously we rely on the teachers a lot, we're great for what happened there, and have, uh, and secure quality teachers are speaking. Um, and… uh… You don't have
to spend all the money's Day? I mean, that's up to your family. Every other year. Um, just like everyone else has said, thank you to the teachers, um, It's just a wonderful, uh, to see it here. I shared with the board today, um, there was, uh, a video on Facebook, have you, etc. sweatshirt. Um, taking the teachers, and it was… really cool to see and watch from all the different buildings from Rockwell to Wheeler Perfect School, so… Uh, everyone that was part of that, thank you so much for doing that, and for you up there, uh, to really keep… Um… I also want to give a thank you, um… out for the last couple weeks, um… with our committees, our hiring committees. There was broken down into specifics for our next superintendent. Um… We got

Okay. consensus items. Steve, may I have a motion to approve consensus items as presented and or amended from G2 to G8. Fresh delivered from. Thanks. Um… One of the things is the, uh, resignation of our high school forest teacher, Ms. Ramos. I just wanted to be really, really big thank you to her. She is only… And you're two? One year? Yeah, she… this was her first year here, and she made… And… insane impacts, and just that short time
in this district. I dropped out of force in 83 because the plastic environment was not something I wanted to be a part of. It was very disruptive. And I… because of Ms. Reynolds, I joined back in this year, and she has made it… a wonderful opportunity for not only myself, but for all of the other students in our music department, and I would I would really like to blend medicine for her. Thank you. Thank you. Any other questions? All those in favor? Aye. motion here. Second to come. Okay, so each one… Uh, one last update to mention on, um… The superintendent search, um… So, we've met as a board, and um… We are now in… contract negotiations, where they came from. So, we were proceeding forward. This takes time, so we appreciate everyone's patience. Um,
and we plan to, um… announce the candidate, um… Hopefully, in Mexico. Hey, I want. I have a motion for the Board of Education to accept a donation in the amount of $1,000. We're just south of Onondaga, I believe. to be used to purchase into Friday names for the field, be kind to district office. And it is further recommended that the 2025-2026 budget be admitted as follows, too. Second. Okay, questions? Just a really depends on the second thing, too. And, uh, like Shane said it earlier, PCK came in, um, did the headings with me, literally, with his, um, with their equipment. um, secured, um… Uh, defense company to donate the back side. Um, just another great example of why I'm not just, like, so brace. I mean, when you use an infield mix from your sleep field and we revid it. Which offset costs, um, to the district, to the communities. We use the infield mix, and then… SOA Health donated $1,000.
