001What leads to the flag. Operation under God. I have a motion to approve the minutes of the February 3rd investigative meetings. First and Park. Very soon. I need certain rights. portion groups of the following financial reports? Some of… I think… Questions, comments? Which is very sensitive. regenization, higher pictograph. Um, community members, members of the board, the Anoday School Administration, thank you for giving me… Uh, the chance to speak here to all of you tonight. Uh, I just… I wrote this down because I wanted to stick to the paper. So, uh, before speaking, uh, specifically about the club, I would like to briefly outline Uh, my role within the district, um, I currently serve As the 7th and 8th grade socialist teacher, in addition to my classroom responsibilities, I serve as Uh, the class of 2026

002co-advisor. Um, fire club advisor. very low-level advisor. Uh, modified basketball coach, both for boys and girls. Uh, Lafayette Central School District modified lacrosse Coach, where I work directly with families, uh, from Lafayette, uh… On a dog of Haudenosaunee Nation. And obviously, Anondaga Central. Uh, and during the summer, I volunteer for Onondaga JV basketball. Uh, in the summer. Um, I also serve as a game day announcer and supervisor for multiple Onondaga JV Varsity Sports, And as a member of the district's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Committee. Um, academically, I… Uh, currently teach, as stated, the 7th and 8th grade social studies classes. I have taught prior to this year, all the 11th grade classes, which is the Regents class. And the AP US History class. These, uh, roles reflect Uh, my commitment not only to the classroom, but

003to, obviously, the broader Onondaga Tiger Central. or anti-central Tiger School Committee. And the students and families we serve. Uh, now addressing the clock that, um, we had stood interest, and we were, um, Just answering student interest. Uh, to begin at its core, civic education prepares students to be thoughtful, inform members of their community and their country. At Onondaga, our goal… goes beyond content coverage. We aim to ensure Students understand how government operates, How historical events have shaped our nation, And the responsibilities and rights that come with American citizenship. If approved, these goals will be implemented through bylaws and through clear, structured, and appropriate activities. Students will engage in discussion, debate, presentations focused on American history, government, and civic values. They will analyze primary sources from all perspectives, including historical documents, speeches, national symbols, to deepen

004their understanding All the principles behind our institutions. The Civics Club will host guest speakers and virtual presentations, allowing students to learn From individuals who have served their communities, and the nation. These speakers will come from all respectful sides. of our political spectrum and society. Members will also participate in school-based service projects and primitive activities. That's the goal. One of the goals of the club, such as Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Uh, the Juneteenth Celebration Day, Constitution Day, just to name a few. Uh, through projects, debates, and exploits, students will examine American ideals as they appear across historical events. When appropriate, field trips, One of the big goals is Washington, D.C. Um, our county courthouse. Um, the state and federal legislatures to see what civics is in and out. Um, in our capital and our state capital.

005Um, where my students will also begin fundraising efforts to help fund local and national veterans programs. Like Syracuse Honor Flight, And a tunnel to Towers Foundation, just to name two of them right there. I know there's a lot of… But if I don't stuff out there. They deserve that. Moving on, a key part of this approach is ensuring that history is taught fully and fairly. This quote is not intended to promote a one-sided perspective or limit debate, but rather to help students Learn how to discuss and evaluate issues in a respectful, thoughtful, manner, grounded in evidence, and free from personal attacks or exaggeration. All discussions and activities will be structured, supervised, and aligned with the district's expectations. To ensure conversations remain balanced, educational, and appropriate for all students. Professionally, I would not and could not

006support or lead a club. Um, that promotes a one-sided point of view in a public school. The intent has never been to exclude any group. Rather, the goal is to help students understand American stories Our American Story includes many voices, perspectives, and contributions. If any of this process in the past has been unclear. Um, I'm committed to working in good faith In collaboration to ensure all perspectives are appropriately represented. Um, as members of the Board of Education have noted in past meetings, I can't see that hand. Um, as members of this Board of Education have noted in past meetings, Uh, there is a group of students who are eager to engage more deeply with American history. And I think that should be celebrated. Um, earlier this year, students approached Jen James and I Um, about

007starting a civic engagement club. This idea was entirely student-motivated? Um, along with Jen James, I did not initiate the concept. Uh, instead, we responded to student interest Uh… We responded to an interest by helping guide the process in appropriate and school men. One widely shared example, I actually saw this last fall, Um, on the evening news, uh, one widely shared example of the benefits of civic debate in schools is middle school 50 in Brooklyn, New York. Um, it was a failing school in the middle of Brooklyn, and, uh, which was featured on CBS Evening News this fall. for improving student engagement, academic performance, And overall school culture… through a structured debate program. Uh, on an evidence-based discussion and respectful, uh, disagreement and endless. This reinforces that the goal of civic engagement activities is not to

008promote viewpoints, but to teach students how to think critically, examine multiple perspectives, and participate responsibly in a democratic society. These are core academic standards. And citizenship skills fully aligned with my, and hopefully the districts and the state's instructional responsibilities. Additionally, because this proposed club involves historical discussion, civic engagement and student dialogue. I believe it was important to outline and briefly explain the instructional approach in my classroom. Um, and how I approach… What's going on? Um, the approach is that I realize that our nation history includes moments of great achievement, As well as moments that are difficult to examine. Ignoring either does not support meaningful learning. Um, examining both. allows students to understand how true, meaningful process occurs, And why civic engagement matters. In my classroom, students understand that I teach marriage history in a structured

009And hopefully comprehensive manner. And I'm open about my respect about this country. as accomplishments, but my curriculum is aligned with New York State social studies learning. Standards and framework, with lessons and assessments intentionally designed to build historical thinking and civic reasoning skills while meeting state and district expectations. When we examine periods in which the nation did not live up to its stated ideals, I approached those topics through careful, fact-based review and instruction so students can understand accountability. reform and change over time. This includes subjects as American slavery, Supreme Court rulings that have held it, Jim Crow-era legislation that created a system of legal, mandated segregation within the country for a period of time. The determined of Japanese Americans the imprisonment or internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. Uh, the historical treatment of women

010and their lack of basic rights within our country. And government policies negatively affecting Indigenous peoples and their way of life. These subjects are taught not to diminish the nation, But to help students understand how the United States has addressed It's challenges continue working toward its ideals. And how the United States Constitution provides the legal framework for peaceful and lawful change within the country. Um, as I close here tonight, I wanted to take the time to make Uh, one last point, or statement, or comment. Um, I take events pride in teaching students from all backgrounds and preparing them to participate responsibly In our civic Month. Um, Anodai Esselst's unique mix. of rural, suburban, And urban communities is a strength that many other surrounding districts does not have. As it allows students to learn, Alongside peers with

011different… with experiences and perspectives, Reflecting the realities of civic life beyond the classroom. Um, I believe this country, and in the capacity of its constitutional system, to expand rights and opportunities over time. Being honest about our history, Including its shortcomings, is part of our, uh, sorry, being honest about our history, including its shortcomings, is part of taking that responsibility seriously. The purpose of this civic Club is not to criticize the nation, but to help students develop an informed and thoughtful understanding of American history. And civic lunch. Um, my mentor, Peter Heinle, would always say this to me my first couple of years, Uh, working here, um… And I always looked at him like, when am I going to use this? And here, it's, um… As Mark Spain once observed, um, Patriotism is supporting your country

012all the time. in your government, when it deserves it. And I think that rings true today in our current political landscape. A reminder that civic education teaches us students Our teacher-students both appreciation for their country, and their responsibility to engage with it thoughtfully. And personally, that to me reflects the ongoing work of striving. toward a more perfect junior. Um, as we move forward, I provided you a, uh, a… An outline for a rough draft of the bylaws that this group would follow. Um, and I'm fully willing to work collaboratively with the Board of Education School administration. Any appropriate stakeholders? To establish clear safeguards, guidelines, and oversight to ensure this group, operates responsibly and in alignment with district values. My goal is to engage in this process. Good faith, and collaboratively, so this opportunity can be

013offered to the student interest in a manner that is transparent, balanced, and educationally sound. So I thank you for your time. Um, this bylaw right here was kind of a rough draft that we kind of thought about. putting on there, so that's that sheet of paper that is also attached. Um, this is a formalization of our club into a structured governing document. By encoding brain-based science into Tiger Patriot Club bylaws. Um, because we do understand we're dealing with… teenagers and, um, the hormones that are going on in that brain. Or should the parents feel all too well. Uh, to ensure that the club and school remains a place of intellectual growth, rather than just emotional outlook. So, um… You can review these individually. Uh, but the mission statement and the purpose and the philosophy is

014the mission of the Patriot Tigers Club. or the Civic Engagement Club, that's another name we can call it. Um, to develop the next generation of leaders by bridging the gap between adolescent passion, immature logic reasoning, we recognize that while the adolescent brain is biologically wired For high emotional energy, True leadership requires the development of executive function, Um, my prefrontal cortex has just developed, I'm 25, so… Have fun! Um, so I'm almost there. Um… So, sometimes I wonder, but I'm here. Uh, these bylaws serve as the skeptic for that developed soap. What year did that movie come out when you were talking before? I was 4 years old, so therein'. Um, but again… The articles, which are, like, the chapters, okay, the four pillars of conduct, Um, it does a good job of explaining what, um,

015how we would push stuff out. If we did to the community or to the school community. Um, one of the things I do like is the steel man mandate. Um, before, which is Section 1 of Article 2, Um, before the club adopts the formal stance against any opposing idea, Members must demonstrate they can steal man the opposition. A member must be able to argue the opposing viewpoint. so accurately that a proponent of that few would agree with that. Um, that state… and then some… Uh, another one is Section 3, the 24-hour cooling rule. No official club statement, social media post, and this is just hypothetical. Not saying we're doing social media, um, or public responses shall be issued Within 24 hours, so you wait 24. Um, of a high-stress event or emotional trigger. This ensures

016no logical breaks of the club are engaged, before the public engagement. Um, and then on the back side is more of the phases that go along with developing what we're doing. Um, if it's a… Um, important thing that we're doing. Um, what's that? Right, Article 4, Operation Accountability. Anti-performative ratio. For every one social media or a post to the boards in the hallway, or whatever, If that's the goal. For everyone's social media posts created by the club, members must document 2 hours of offline work, research, outreach, or service. Do I like that? I think it's good. We can work with it. Um, if the club advances. Um, but these are the bylaws that we would… kind of review. structure this… area of this club, because we need structure. So, that's all I have here tonight.

017Um, I think it's important, and, um, thank you for your time. And I look forward to working with you, Austin. Even though I'm very young. And my prefrontal cortex might not be developed yet, so… Thank you. My three tons of cortex may not exist today. I'd like to make a motion for just sending it. Next question. Oh, sorry, yeah, I'll probably counter. You know, just come back up. Yeah, what's up? Can you speak to the, um… That's standard that students have to meet, uh, having a 85% average. So, yeah, so we took that all out. That was… something that, um, I put in there to… put in there to, um… encourage, um, academic excellence, but I totally understand that opposing viewpoint. of… there's no requirement for voting other than other stuff, so we took that

018right out. And we understand. Yeah, the proposal we received wasn't any different than the last one we thought, oh, we didn't get the whole structure date. Right, so I can work on that and get that to you tomorrow morning, or tonight. I'll get that in… or I think we took it out of the… because I read over the paperwork, and that's not in there. It's in the run, in fact. We should have been able to take that. Alright, so we'll, we will take that out, uh… Yeah, we'll take that out immediately, because I do understand the concerns, and we want everyone to… engage in civics. So, um… Yeah, well, we've already… terms of the group… Um, I just wanted to… I don't have a question or anything. Um, I just wanted to thank you for

019presenting. This with a lot more information than we were given previously. I love the idea of a civics club, and I think the culture that is bipartisan, um, and inclusive, rather than exclusive, is all we want to do with having a presentation… having you come to your design. I'm really glad today. We all have good information. Um, I know when we were in school, uh, we had the big club and run a trial, and all of those things that were ready for having students take trips late and argue with closing viewpoints are never gonna happen. Thank you. So, when I explained… to the certain… because these two gentlemen are not the only two that would be here, others couldn't be here to explain. This is our process right here at the local level. Like, you

020all wanted more information. And you have constituents, and I think… It's cool that you were able to do this. So, thank you. Interesting. The other… I got one comment as well. Yes. Just the specifics for the interesting. Number one, I want to thank you, um, two pages go. advanced information. When I went to school here, none of those folks existed. We were to see some kind of day. civics Government Club. I think it's a 3. Students can learn. All the Hishman. I think it'd be great to have it. Thank you. And, uh… Firstly, thank you as well for putting this together, and… Uh, educating us, and really just know what this plug is going to be about. Thank you. just mentioned with my… I hold this was just calling me from college this past weekend.

021I'm baseball. And, uh… Uh, he, uh, he's very big into history and… And he would… he would seriously fit for us. That's why I just… I can so relate to… Um, the benefits are placed above. And, uh, Just say that we're lucky to have the continuous reason. You can do it in the sport. Yeah, I missed Definitely. That punch is so fastened for AT, and I was the 11th grade. region, so I just don't buy that much. so many courses from IC. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, it's fine. Perfect. Well, thank you. Paying the attention to the gift. Errol came in and wanted to… if we speak, like, in the question and get the bus to be similar. Can we move to, um, vote on it after execs so we have a chance to read over?

022I was gonna get a chance to read over the bylaws, and I was like, too, before we vote. Okay. I'll still eat, like, we go back into public session anyway after the fact. So, just to go through the obvious rules. Just to go through my rules. But once we vote on it, can we then move it to, like, after the exact… because that'll still be on public record, I just wanted to ask for you to provide us. Um, the piece that… If there's recommendations from dialogues. Your body loss is… I think the only time I can't remember. But, um, there was just a draft. Okay. Well, I guess I do have a question, just… no, like, this is the only club that has bylaws. Yeah. And this is the only club in my 13 years.

023Did we ever pass this much information? I do know that. Uh, which I appreciate. Yeah, but if you get it, you know, a chance to read it over. Um… But I did just have a question about the steel man mandate. I love it, but I don't know, um… So you said before that club adopt a formal stance against any opposing ideas? Why are you adopting a formal scan? What circumstance leads to needing to adopt a formal stance? Do you know what I mean? So, I would believe That would be, um… Perfect. Um… No, it's in here. I know the answer to your question. Um, in Section 2, of Article 2, it says substance over aesthetics. The club shop prioritize measurable, real outcomes. Policy research. community service hours. for legislative meetings, not social media vibes or

024other things that are pushing hot topic buttons. the students that are in the clubs will be researching real policy, um… issues that we have in this… in this country. And that's where they would have to provide paperwork of the opposing viewpoint. Like, we're gonna draft out, like, an outline or a graphic organizer where they come up with theirs, and then the sources for the others. And then that's where that's coming from. Okay. Just, you know, we're not… we're not coming up with a… a formal declaration, this is this club, and we're doing this, this is not, not that… Jeremiah, can I chime in? Yeah. I think one of the pieces when we were doing this… If the students wanted to come and meet in front of the school board, if they wanted to go meet

025county legislators, if they wanted to meet an assignment person, then they would… so that they went, they would come and meet for the board, or meet with an elected official, Did they have all of their ducks and brackets, basically, to exist? That's a high rate. Okay, great, thank you. Yeah, it's going back to her. Alright, practically. So… All those in favor to add? these motions to… Motion to end the agenda to… You know, to have the integers be your average funds. Honestly. Oh, great. There is to add to the gender. Yeah, life's a little Lakers. Thank you. Thank you, Madam. Thank you. Appreciate it. I signed up to speed, but I don't know at what point. I'm just hosted for that. Uh, that's good to hear. Uh, that's… that's a little bit bigger. Okay. then

026I'll… then I'll pay. Okay. But I'm not gonna wait that long, because I gotta get that. Like, I'm not gonna sit through the entire… I just can't tonight. Like, I did the last time, it was lovely, but… There's just something to even the, um, wore in the beginning. And then there's nothing to the engine. Okay. Yeah, so if you would send it, I did the same. It's not the whole movie. Okay, okay. But there is another presentation. Is it about the capital project invest? No, it's not the budget. Okay, that's… I mean, that's the same budget issue. Joe's gonna kick this off. Okay, so recommendation 2. Uh, we talked to the last, uh, meeting the tax gap is March 1st received a tournament this year, March 1st, is on a Sunday. So instead of giving

027a smart second, they rolled it back into the tax estimated to the Office of Comptrollers, So, that is where it will bill to, and then there's a few highlights. take advantage of highlight some information, um, or just updates, and that's pretty much how we do all of the tree stations. So, again, it's where we could with the, uh, government budget, the foundation aiding increase was $779 million, up to 0.9% increase across the board. Um, however, I know Drive Central is only set to receive a 1% increase. There hasn't been any updates to that of 1.2%. they've updated the database of information where that comes from, so typically it comes from the vendor database, so the first round, the second one comes around February, so the February database is in attend a webinar on that today.

028If they use the numbers for the February database, instead of being 100,000 hours below the formula, now $200,000 below the formula, so we've actually gotten further help. So, if we were to receive a 2% increase, which would equate to $150,000, we'd actually need $350,000 over a funding group. So, interest rates, we are overfunded. And since the update is happening down we talked about at the last meeting. that drop even further after the updated CPI, a couple other factors, but the general skill set to receive that 73% $3,000 increase, again, far from the 800,000 we received last year. Um, so more information. They're not expecting on that budget. probably somewhere around mid to late April. So, in the budget development factors, we went through all of these, a highly dead predominator was BOCES, the final service

029requests are the numbers have all been updated. It actually was a flat 3% across the board, increased from the end number, so our hosting budget is $3.20 million. It went up to all 3% on top of that. So, do not really willing to sell that in our favor. Um, so we need to finalize district insurance. health insurance, so we do know those information, um, the energy services, as we've all seen on our own energy bills, or filled with contractually run by 20%. Uh, TRS and ERS are also there. Our transportation. So, we talked about that the waiver came out from SAFE, so we are allowed to apply for a 2-year waiver to expand on the road behind EMP. Um, we don't have any information on whether or not we've received any of the following things.

030We did receive information that we did not get a clean school bus CSV funding that we applied for last year from EPA. They decided they're not going to award any funds, and it's put another round of funding, but right now we have And no funding towards electric buses. As it stands today. So, if we did go forward with that bus proposition of two 66 passenger buses and 128 passenger electric bus, the total cost currently is $1.3 million, senior bus is confident, yeah, we get that waiver, that would bring it down. The local share, as of today, is… we're told that We would get the same aid, so 72… 76.12%. That would ripple today. So, last year, we had the proposition set that do a TV first, yes or no. Uh, our recommendation is to flip

031that. And we had talked about moving forward with only 85 buses. Because of that waiver, right now it probably makes sense to maintain our current schedule and come forward with 3 buses. The waiver that comes up 2 years down the road, another opportunity then you can kind of look at whatever the need looks like. For right now, we'll be purchasing buses that are 2035, the end date has not moved. They have to be out for about 2035 group and do take control. So, our recommendation, again, to move forward with the propositions in this order, Um, I worked artists and got some information on what that cost is. Uh, divide the… 3 guests and buses. The larger buses are 174,000, the smaller is 100,000. Um, it financed… they're financed over 5 years, the local share would

032be a $4 increase per $100,000 of assessed value, so that's what our local shared tax impact, which on those buses. This is similar to what it was last year. Those of us that do have a boss for $132,000 square out for 5 years as gross to the electric, which is better than the same. They're not possibly no infrastructure, energy outlooks today, just our recommendation, regionalities to move forward with your B. Um, gas cleaning proposition, but at the same time, we also want authenticators that are doing overweigh it, so… They're not interested in that, and you are, you know what I mean, want to move forward with electric buses, and we're able to secure those dollars. We want that to be there as well. So in the lanes of the number of proposition, which you Again,

033if you voted no for the Proposition 3, 1 being the budget, 2 being in the library, if you said no with 3, are you… do you want to move forward a proposition for them? And yeah, that's left last year, where we did electric first, because we knew we had that money. I'm sure we don't know yet, so… Um, other propositions, we can only finalize them first from March meeting. That's kind of our timeline that we would update, but that's just where we stand right now. And Joe, along from the last discuss, um, there's going to be another, um, If you don't go without your sign, you can count on the side. is not… And then when we started to look at our state aid, what we've received in savings. finish, uh… In February, we talked

034about the potential conflict, uh, and looking at the district's finances, childhood, um… If they don't change any parts of the legislation, you would only have those bus, uh, passes it. off the road as soon as it was shot. Um, if you're allowed… We're not… they're not sharing information in the state. with what they're intent is. Are they going to roll votes down? only a few years, or are they going to leave it as it is? It's a lot… it's a lot of money. I mean, in terms of, uh… really handling it at events. You're right, Lord, and I tell you to go as far as… I've already said you're great camp handle. all of his tools, and even within the timeline, Normally, we started was… And 3 years ago, this came out. We started this

0353 years ago, that they were saying and retain… minimum of 10 years to have a brain be raised. to be able to handle. Oh, $600 on a superstrection, and have electric fully electric fleets. temperature. Other than that, so… I think one thing to, uh, other proposition could be a little misleading. I'd like to ask if you can listen in very efficiently. But the fact that you had that toll date there, how much is going to cost per 100,000 doesn't matter. I think one of the hero, okay? So it says, And charting stations… maintenance and AV training for guys to learn how to work on these things. So, that zero is not here. I think when we break the proposition, just gonna make sure that there's… can put in there soon. Council. I just wanted you

036to have the information about measurement, that's how we are. That's a great point, and I think the other piece is that I can throw your attention to, um, pre-supletions in the probabilities. is, um… We're in the same sphere of a constitution. would still cost the taxpayers, just not local taxpayers. These are state dollars. And, um, Ivani were talking about going after this guy to stay downs, which are… And that's where some of the numbers we were briefed. And now, in more senior videos like David. It's just not voted tax department. then I look, again, important in propositions are usually wrong. Um, uh, then learning. But those are very things. The mandate expects quite as the… They haven't… they haven't shared the penalty. It's a question that came out. you know, a year ago, you know,

037this past December, a year ago, in 23, we've been there, um… December, when we found this interview. is the school district not going to receive transportation aid on it? Is the statement are not allowed to purchase them? Does the district have to buy 100% of… You know, Boston costs $160,000. Those are questions, and… And now we don't have the answer to talk meters. Maybe this is a topic as the district, Or is the board that we want to send in our voice through advocacy, um, she runs through our American officials? Um, and so I've been doing to talk about. I mean, I've asked a buncher enough that they see me coming? And they know that I'm not asking the question. Yeah, the proposition reads as they are not to exceed the boundaries to go on

038top of tooth manufacturer, right? So we do have to do that's in there, but the amount not to exceeded in the population is $700,000, so it's still there. I just want to leave… I'm going to continue to work to try to secure as much funding as possible. But, yeah, where we are as far as we're tolerating it, because the proposition that we think the best move for the district really We had a free bus for, like, a few guys, so we get one. There's ever saying. Uh, but much look back at a glance, There's no new updates to that slide, um, enrollment can narrows down 8%. We talked about if we want back a year or two further, it actually on, what, 15%. Um, at the same time, so I'm gonna benefit spending for people

039who has increased 43%, or it's kind of just a summary of that slide. Um, and kind of the data's denied the property tax levy limit calculations, so… So, and our budget workshop, we reviewed this before. Okay, so our calculation last year, our levy was $11,413,032. Our tax levy growth factor was 1.0025, which may please be added to the least growth of all of the districts. Um, in the infancy and BOCES, or mid-city BOCES. There wasn't much growth in Hanover. CPIS263, that's the 2%, it's the lesser of, so it's 260, Uh, the lower of either inflation or 6%, 2% is lower, so it's 2% again for this year, but it has been for several years in a row. Um, as a reminder, we went out with 2.75% increase from the previous year. So, this is a

040new one, we haven't done it before, I figured we used to do the math together. This is what goes into the portal. So, last year, our levy limit to start with is $11,413,032. We have nothing in a tax cap reserve. Our tax-based growth factors are 1.0025. If you multiply those two things together, you get $11,440.565. Then you engine pilots, which I don't have any. Um, you subtract last year's capital exclusions of $334,341, and you get 110.0734 times 2%, $11,329,3638. Which is the limit of the limit, P4, exclusions. So that would be a digit 8-step process. Our exclusions are right here. So, it's all of our debt service for all of our buildings. Our capital outlays. Our bus purchases jumps to $3.8 million, which is our debt for this year in this year of employment. It's

041about that number every year. We should track down all the 8, so we were transferred to that service here, building aid posted things for rent, for transportation, and a capital exclusion is $606,000, which gets added back to… the previous number at the top of the page, 11.329. So, our tax levy limit with data door exclusion is $11,935,380. So what that is, is a 4.58% tax return. Last year, we were 275, year before that, we were $25. Year before that, year 2. And we've always been right around 2. So… If we went to the tax levy, then that we are able to go to 4.58%, acceptable majority. Um, which would generate another $523. 1,348 on top of last year. Um, if you were at 2.75%, which is what we went at last year, again, it would

042be another 314,358. that be offset by a transfer from a debt service, so it was $215,100. And then the last one I have up there is what we went at the year before that at 2.5%. Um, so… as a scenario, that's just kind of the number I was hoping for pretty much the rest of the presentation, is the lower statute 2.5%. All the districts are able to do is say, okay, this is the levy, this is what the district needs to run the school district, if it's not. We don't want to set up tax rates. that comes from this, it's part of the abortion sheet, so I don't have that right now, because we don't have an equalization rates right now. We don't have, um, the new assessed values. Once we have all that out,

043we put it in the apportion sheet, and then we get a ballpark over our tax rates are. So as soon as that information's in, I'll provide that information as well. The only thing that you can see me done is we need to just submit the tax cap by Friday afternoon. So, And that's typically March 1st. We have information from last year on the way people know what I'm talking about, and I'm sorry at words. Um, like, active equalization rate, what are 2.75% ended up actually being, you know what I'm saying? I think it was around 2? Maybe a little bit above, I'll look into other advice on that. Okay. Typically, when it comes out to me is, a lot of times in the program. It has never been higher to buy that. Well, we end

044up that screw here last year would be the two. Right, so it throw off some stuff. We lost… I remember we lost $50,000 in tax revenue because of the counties and state. But the starting number doesn't change, so we still have the same amount, even though the ad revenue wasn't there, so the chun, which you may have actually caused a higher tax return. That was just last year. Yes. That was 2 years ago. I think you get packed with last year and made it happen here before then. So it goes at 2% versus the 275 that we went out, that might be why. Usually it's quite a bit. So, what I can put in the portal is just a formula as is, no adjustments, and then we're able to go back in and adjust afterwards.

045That was something we were going to do, that's something I think would be a good practice just to always do as soon as I had the information, I can just submit, and then… what the rate is, um, if they wanted to do the lesser means, it's this $244,000 would be federal revenue line. Um, and then just people, for planning purposes right now. That's it. So, I just want to make sure the board's comfortable with whatever's put into their portal. In other words, the United Lord, then years back and years past, Sometimes the board wasn't comfortable with if the tax law of the women was 5.5%. we are not comfortable with that going in, um… And I'm building in, um… say that portal, even though it's not binding to that. It's a reporting number that can

046be and go and adjust if we change it. Um, and we do typical rewards pass, and we really created. our number, but this is closer to the bottom of the population you would have been able to allow that. Yeah, we try to keep it realistic, as opposed to going to the cap, but is there advantages and disadvantages to going in that way? just, like, to prepare. I was, like, a ballpark number where it is sort of thing with as far as the revenue side of it. It's why I would like to know the number. As far as what goes in the world, and I said in the beginning of that presentation, It's just a formula. What would happen, I would think, because what has happened in years past, is the part we've adjusted is the

047capital exposure. the .0025 doesn't really make for the computer. There's not a lot of room there, I think it goes up, like, $325,000, $30,000. And then viewed the other 2%. the boulders really should have to meet every year. It should have been about 2%. If the capital exclusion. of that 600,000. that really hadn't really gone to, and never… not gone to some other thing. We've always surplus, so that gets supplemented from elsewhere to bring the number down. So those small steps of a 2-5 inch 2.7-5, has helped bring that number down, where the tax gap, I think, is closer to 7%. So, if we went, like, if we just put the number in the formula and agreed on, like, just the max, Well, I'm just thinking that is not useful for planning purposes either, if

048we're not… we're not going to do this. No, wait. Is that good for optics? There's optics, and then there's, like, planning purposes, and it's not… Yeah, right. In years past, what I have in favor of going through the equation is… We don't really go to the CAP, they don't want to see a thing that it's viewed as, that we're looking to do a 5% increase like some of our neighboring districts are going to do here this year. the intent, I just wanted to be This is what the formula is, it's just the formula is for the state sales report is, so… Yep. And so this row is already able to get everything probabilities from last year. And if we move… If the number that ends up in there isn't the number you go to, that's

049when there's problems that'll come out without years, so I just want to make sure they're clear that I'm on alignment. If the board is okay, I would like to do two and a half. It's just the number in the world, and you can adjust as things continue down your budget back to me. I mean, as we wait for the state budget to be finalized, you know, we have another month, we have a month is March, we don't look to have our budget finalized. and finalize work position for your team, or what position your students on the NFL within this year to another year, we've had a new hire units. And, um, every kind of we had a retirement, um, we try to take our time. And it would usually take some document to happen. to

050finalize where we're going to land the staffing. Um, and that number to choose. helps us make that determination as we get to the end of March. And we're waiting for this kind of final… and state budget, that we come up with, um, a fund to potentially shop in South. Next month, as we pledge into our funding to reserve the land, What money they were going to fund, um, just as a reminder, we always need money from that at the end of the school year. For operating expenses. For the first few months of schooling. before taxes and state from the city. So we never wanted anything to be anywhere. 0, because I'm going to be borrowing money over the summer to, um… a, um, uh… They run the schools. Thanks, mate. So, you know, just in

051terms of, like, a budgeting strategy, Um, Joe wanted to add, and they said this was a great idea, to go through the formula. And, you know, show the board, show the public the transparency within the formula. And this is, you know, this is what Robin, nobody… nobody in this administration is not going to do that. We can adjust it, but I think Joe sent a new one, and they were 2.5, I think about. Just to show the numbers. Just show the number in the portal. So we need the reporting of the parking pack. Which, I'm not sure of the logic behind in Florida, is that you have to have it done by March 1st, typically. But then you could go and adjust it. Yeah. Yeah, I don't… I mean, if you don't know what to

052use the number for. And you don't know… the actual safe budget until after April 1st. So, it's… Kind of weird. So… prepare? Well, yeah, I mean, as you said, the rest of your presentation is based on a two and a half, so it gets us an idea of where we're at. And it's our starting point. to start discussions in terms of where we go. So, I think the slides in here are more crib and estimate in the last, the first presentation when you try to get there to round the number. The increases we've received in CAH, and how that's aligned with the local share. our revenue source, the biggest part of this front estate, right? And it's just to not have those pace a little bit closer together can be detrimental with determining can move

053to your 55 pounds. business. There's no place to go, but then it's trying to go out and buy a 100% economies. Okay, so… this is where we are as far as our starting point. It's just a calculation. And it's frustrating every year. Um, uh, you know… getting information on the state parishion as we go through the process. The governor's budget, um, you know, should release her budget in January. Then we go through part of January, February, March, and if it's an on-time budget. It's not a matter of time budget, it's some time in April. Yeah, it was Sunday, we've done much of a good… But this… this will help, this'll help guide us over the next month. In terms of… we do have retirements, Um, which ones we're going to finalize. The next scenario's up

054here of not filling in. Um, we're filling them. Um, Joe's done a great job. putting those down into violation of what it looks like. And then one piece that we've implemented to… um, is the implication not feeling physique. What number that is, work that does, the program. doing class centers and class subjects. So, we talked about the last meeting, the revenue budget, the left-hand side is where we were in 25-26. That was our final number to get to our budget of $27,363,348. Um, the tax levy is the number we just looked at, the last page of 2.5%. The state aid, uh, run from the governor's is The number that the governor provided, and then I look at our trend of where were we on low-season transportation aid for the last few years to bring that

055into a more organic level for oversee that. And then the current, if all, position still remains, where would we be with the ball request, everything has come in to this point, the current budget would be $28 million,2167,895. We looked at this slide last meeting. Um, this is our enrollment trend over the years. It's been big highlights, again, were just… or there's some spots where there were changes, so the first one was pre-K. Last year, we had 37 down to 29 students, so… We only have a few sections right now. Um, and then some of those other trends, um, the 7 and 1,230 videos, which is now 327, so in high school-plus. 967 to 800 rewards. So, to put those two numbers together, this last meeting, I think the number was 2.2. We've gotten it down

056to 2 currently, um, the 2616V1 was on that last slide, as was the June 28-1685. So last year, we offered a retirement incentive. Um, the overall savings, I think I mentioned was somewhere in the $350,000 to $400,000 range. Um, for teachers who submitted paperwork at this point, uh, three of which are utilizing that retirement incentive. Um, if those… When those sounds come out of the entirety, out of the budget, it drops the expenditure to $27,796,533 for a potential savings of $427… $420,362. So that scenario is not filling 3 of the quarter positions, or making some movements and building a new chart. The estimated cost for a new hire. This is somebody who can come in at step one, on the 26, 27, um… teacher contract, um, with a master's degree, with… the credits that we

057seek to have on the abstract figuration, the FlightMedicare, taking health insurance, and TRS. So, we're looking at about $90,000 is going to increase every single year. Um, so, opportunities that we've looked at, um, as an administrative team is where can VIN happen? So, we are protecting the staff that we have in place, and deliver protecting programs and protecting class size, but to eliminate the spreading of staff. We don't want to introduce the curry. we have here, we don't really want to see that, and unfortunately, it's reality right now with many of the Chesapeake area. They're looking at that, and I think their entire incentive has greatly helped us over those two years, because it's 100%. Um, so the estimated difference between those two, so we just looked at it here, they please add $2,055 just

058by reducing those 3 positions. Um, it would drop down the difference between the two, 1.6 million, which is roughly about where we were last year. And crashed to proceed $800,000 in revenue, as opposed to the shareholder who received $70. So, just on that alone, the large difference, um, lasts Uh, here at Studios talked about efficiency and status and transportation. So, over the last couple years, we've produced 5 staff positions, uh… 3 of which are drivers that I have. Two assistants. So, looking at what that savings looks like over 3 years, that is if you put in that new body at $89,000. So, year one, the savings is $267, year two is $545, and after 3, it's for 3 brand new t-shirts with no experience, the same page, $834,000. That number's reduced by 278 out of

05975. her brand new feature hiring skills as much. So, just looking at where we are… Department of State. So, our to-do next steps, uh, finalize our revenue projections and the state budgets finalized intensively? ideally mid… uh, if you need to look at our district expenditures, And as information comes in, we get better numbers. We get them 5 moments, the healthcare number, we have the healthcare distortion metric portion. Um, we haven't gotten finalized from our insurers. we always try to start conservative, so everything really says, you know, 7, budgeting, begin with it, makes more sense. So hopefully getting better in that number from here could be squared apart. Uh, the BOCES final service request, I added to that one because it's been updated. That one is done. Um, we were setting the tax cap at 2.5%

060right now. Again, if it's not done, it's not finalized, so it's still to be done. And then the property tax would work very with 157. And then our important dates? This number… Yeah, just, um, you know, thanks, uh, um, we still need to finalize staff, and… And, uh, And, you know, and we've been looking at our pre-month terms. Um, you know, we shared, um, what the savings would be. Where you're trying to not finish 3 of those fellow decision instances. We know, um, we know with impact Um, the administrators, um, and, uh, Joe and I've been talking. about the, um, pros and cons to that. I don't know if, um, we have a science position. That would… if we don't fill that position, if the region to get into this more next month, the first

061meeting of March. That'll tend to be kept on the classes we offer. Um, they don't make other challenges with the master schedule if they don't feel true of the elementary positions. with, um, class sizes, um, uh, or in AIS office. We never, never take it lightly. And I never want lush, but I want to be transparent. or, you know, these are positions that we're looking at that were not finalized yet. Um, because, you know… To me, it's very serious. children are the next generation. And as Joe said, we don't want to hire people And then turn around, and… Things crash next year, but on the state side of it, and then we have to lay people off because They look at that tattoo number, and they adjust our student aid, and they drop our studios

062down 350,000, as opposed to basically up this year. Sector 3000. Oh, just with development, but if they were to produce the actual number that Joe went over in her little slide, if they were to adjust this and doing an actual form it is, that's where Joe came up for that. Now it's less than last year. $275,000 from one of them. Today, and possibly even… Um, I also highlighted the 27th. This is the last thing that I have. I'll probably take it back over to you, just because it was March 1st. I want to make sure you guys see those side-by-sides as to what changed. The reason why that changed is for states that have come to gone early, so I'm surprised between me and Mark Signing that they were going. Yeah. What was the first

063Sunday? That's why they moved, right? They didn't move through therapy. We might have the same. Um, so, um… And, you know, when we talked about this safety threatening in the first presentation, um, Joe had mentioned it, um, what we, you know, we looked at that, uh, one proposal we have out there for five school buses, which was around… We need $50,000 right now. What's that? Five, yeah. 3 to 5. And we didn't see that on this presentation. for multiple reasons, not just the end date of 2035, we can't have production of the listings on the road anymore. But we looked at it from a financial standpoint, but where we are with this budget, and our state aid did go up so low, 1%. Um, really, that was specifically responsible. Um, so we took those off,

064and I wanted to just, you know, Nothing is set in stone yet for staffing or equipment. I mean, I've always seen it happen twice in my tenure in the administration. twice in a number where the governor's numbers, when the state finalized and run Hickwood West. That's only average price. Um, and I hope it doesn't happen this time, so… Like, uh, just a little… Any partners? So… from my looks of it, it helps… So, 2.5%. And what if you're listening to some buying pervator. essentially where we're going to be, actually. As a bonfire. And last year, we… We started… we were, like, over 2 million, and we've even… to definitely get down, and we really wanted to get down. We got down to 1.6. No, borrowing… Were we thinking that we were… We're still running high.

065I'm trying to remember. What do you mean? On the 26th time. I guess what? Yeah, I think we're continuing to have to… bar of food. It's not… it's not a bar, it's not necessarily borrowing, it's not… It's a savings. essentially. It's building an offensive budget. that, um, we have a fund balance and money left over from reserves. Right. If we spend that up, then we don't have money for reserves, and if we spend all of the… beat up that line increases operating expenses for my first couple of months, and that's why… That's built in… built in with that. Yeah, we just… we want to make sure it's not too high. There was a discussion, I think, last year, about as a district, and… with more, about trying to reduce that number down. closer to where

066you were within 25 miles in the jail. Yep. It's just to show just the impact of just… those positions in that day. After my discovery, that was my question, is… But that's what we're still trying to strive for, is to try to drive that number, if we can. Or it's 1.5 or 1.4… And that's more comfortable. That's our goal, but I don't know if we can get the idea. This is the reason why, like, last year we couldn't start the… And the tackle. All three. Because it would have is $100,000 gone to that. We're still too crowded. We can talk about that, and then talk about, um… capital project. Party drawing, but it didn't make sense to start again. And so, no, that's fine, and I used to that one. And, you know, for that

067capital outlet, I still envision that, um, for the district. I still envision that to be a few beers down the road after this capital project is done. Um, there's gonna be smaller, and it's not… Um, a way to take care of things. over to span the next capital project, which we follow that service cycle. Dan will be coming off. until 2030, 39. 39th? I do 20… it's… so you're talking… As Fernande Gearborn is coming from. That, that, that's… I don't think it's the right timing to do it, because we have a capital project, and because of what we're doing. where our budget is, and now it's a reserve fund. That's gonna be a 3-year… a four-year target. When you do the capital outlay, You have to sit within a certain amount of time. Alright, if

068you wanted to go over them. Uh, we know you won't be able to… Okay. And you're having Dr. 2008, or 500, so the districts that already have an interest rate, we could get the funding back to one year. As opposed to a regular demo project, we did that. So, it was great that you get that very, great show, so $100,000 when we get back, we get 3% right away. And, you know, one of the… that that's the positive to it. One of the, um… challenging pieces to that as well, is you have… you have to have an architect, and then do all the soft costs on top of that. So what you actually get done after architectural piece and engineering fees is not $100,000 in terms of cluster. Certainly. That, just to keep that in

069my favor. What would you say it was very important? We're in line to have the fun balance that we'll carry us over until taxes and state income comes in. Some thousands of those wrongs that. can ask me a number. There's so much fluctuation that it'll take for the audit to be done like that. It will work for you to be that conversation. So, we use, uh, Forecast 5 software to kind of gives us an update of roughly where we are on trend spend by submitting monthly expenditures and revenues every single month for our business. several years back. So that helps, it gives you the ballpark number, so I think the last time I looked at it said, you know, we were looking to trend for $100,000, um, You sort of spun out… the number last

070year was, like, 500,000 to what it said, and I think maybe the year, like, 500,000 the other way, so it's just such a swing. To keep our finger on the ball, submit its efforts ever starting to get away from that, then we look at the FSOT certificate, It's no new to our sanitary message that was already the budget. And then, of course, that we need to… Um, unexpected, but things break. Yeah, that happens. You don't know where it's going. You know? Thanks, Edward. So more work to be done. Yep. you know, the month of February and the month of March is always, um… you know, sorting through the details, trying to get to the end of March, and have a solid plan. Um… what I feel good about is you know, if things aren't going

071to be that financially tight for us, Um, we're not talking about doing the decisions way off. They reviewed the decision not to fill positions. And the answer that we're talking about now. Um, they would have to come back and hammer us pretty bad on April 1st. And that's a whole different ballgame. amount of alien. sort of adding to it. So, we were not anticipating that when the climate result in this year. And, um, what should get… for our enrollment down. We're still running the same over the state, I think, especially since she's a high school junior. We do a lot of great things. builders, there's found in the head of the individuals. So, we, like, you know… Sometimes we'll… teachers will get assigned their literature number position, but all of the staff, like, they put

072the high school down, have a choice schedule. Um, like, just an example, we were talking about, um, we had, um, a physician to come vacant last year. And it was in special math and math, and we thought we were going to be able to reduce that position and not till it, because it was vacant. And as the summer rolled on, as the summer rolled on, our special ed numbers changed, And we needed that halftime special ed teacher back, and you can't argue that. You know, so then at half of that position back, but we still saw the savings in their impact position. So, on that slide… I clicked on Joe Razor Productions. Um, that includes extracted options in the last year. Um, as well. There's been… There's been… there's been a little bit of talk

073with that. There hasn't been anything that, um, anything in the surrounding districts that have been able to gravitate towards the regionalization efforts. that anyone's jumped out and said, you know, less than mine, facts are wrong. I'll use examples in our group. You know, let's combine EV glasses, let's combine transportation, and let's combine maintenance. You know, combine too small of a sort of maintenance programs. And now you have, um, uh, shared costs over the fraternal labor contract in those areas. You know, those are all things that, when we've discussed somewhat at the original level. Um, even more than I think, into the roof. plenty of staffing class, shitters a lot. Um, so I brought up the enrollment slide again, just to, again, to continue to reiterate. Last year, this total number here is at 720. 16

074less getsivided in one less fit in the recruitment, but doesn't change the lead and forest aging space for the unions may have sides for teachingers in there, so… We're always looking and analyzing. But it's not just automatically sort of, it just works, so it's… we're putting in, um, a lot of ideas. How can we make this work? And I know regionalization is definitely something that the books you as a whole is definitely exploring. I think there's lots more in the analytics. And if this piece of your second down, and it's programs go to If the programs go to another district, then, just like if another student's group in the CTV program, then you have to try to put a new travel time for them, and transportation. Some of those programs we may be going to

075already, but that takes time out of the student's day. to get to those photographs, the CP programs you want, you're basically having a problem. But there's a trailer kind of in there, so that they lose some of their instructional when they lose their traffic. That's… so that's the other considerations. Um, and, you know, what can we do to partner with Ocean City? Yeah, Costell? Um, Marcellus, those are all our dealers. They're close enough. what those students include all-hanging fruit that you guys know who had the phone company. And to be honest with that was saving money. Eric, I think it was Ratcher, I was hoping for the report. I think we had… One of 21 staff, more than staff. offered something, and I just threw around that tumbler. Um, it was a bit of everything.

076helpful to hear, and… I need to report back in front of me is… that's creative, but protect program, uh, for kids. Everyone has handed their time. At the end. Which is what he has to shoot them. I also said to hear the Russians. Thank you. Okay, fine. Under the motion through the set of retirement for reading. Mary, a school bus driver, employer, effective August 3 University Proceedings. So moved. I would just like to, um, we get, uh, Dorian for 3 more months, um, we're able to move, um, under the years of service. Just so reliable and second one to God. our resume. So, I'm curious, etc. Superintendent's report. Um, I drew on here for, uh, one more time, um, and it really does happen until later on towards spring, is the, um, the draft calendar

077for board meetings. Um, the one piece that we did throw around here in the policy pay. there was some, uh, regulation changes to your meeting. which is in the policy I was in, which is pretty simple. Um, this changes from how we were living on the first Tuesdays, um, forwarding the first 10 days, it's simply the leader to the first department buildings. Um, so if our policy changes to now, It's nice that they bring us along the 4th of July. Yeah, does that always brought strong? So that, that, that may change what kind of would like to do. Let me register your foreign, uh, on Saturday morning for a night from around 30. Um, if you're interested in attending, so that I know you can get registered immediately. We'd love to hear the board members.

078I don't know what it is you're painting. That'd be great, so… How you doing? Right, it's like your corner means we say things, and it's like, the only thing I would, you know, tell them what do we need. Who's able to make it, it's always been rich in the presentation, and I think does a great job of going through. the struggle with school district space, and what legislators in the year advocate for. administrative republics. Um, nonetheless, uh, we've earned almost $175,000 of interest, $79, which is from the general fund, and about… walking by you and George. I also had changed report. For facilities, CDM has installed a cover to a rare dealer for Phase 1 of a capital project. Uh, for Phase 2, demolition is the guide to learn the industrial arts building, the whole

079building is pretty much been gutted out. Um, brown skin valuation of work order completion and custodial staff has been recovered in college, which would need to make 10 events, and average events. I'll share that with a few comments about Doreen. Uh, she tells me she's been here with the district 35 years. Um, started out as a subdriver, um, and also worked in a couple other part-time jobs, worked our way up. Um, so it's definitely entertaining listening to Doreen's stories of where she started, where she came from, how she's climbed the ladder. We all refer to her as the Queen, because she's at the top of the e-book in that one. progressives with their seniority. Um, the good news is she's not planning on missing us for very long and coming back to driving in the

080fall after she retires. Some great Denny Abbott did so. changing her status, but… She's definitely a pleasure to have, uh, with our staff. Rob came to me and wanted me to pose some information for you, and I said, link back, I think you've got there. Um, he wanted me to put together 3 years' worth of information on what our staffing was, um, on a drivers we had, the amount of tenants we had. what our stewed grindership looked like on each one of the buses, um, miles we covered on each one of the roofs. Um, student ridership time on each one of those investments. So the very first cover sheet is kind of an outline on it. Joe alluded to it a little bit. We started out in 23, we had 23 drivers. regular drivers, 6

081attendants. 24, we reduced down to 20 regular drivers, 4 attendants. Currently at 25. Um, we're at 19 drivers. for regular attendance. Um, we do have a driver retiring in March. I already have that figured out, too. Combine those routes. So, it won't be an empty room. Once the driver leaves, I can pick that up there. to the rooster area by adding their own time to theirs. Um, looking at the… Fleet status will revise, plus numbers in 2023. We had 30 buses in the fleet, we had regular 18 big buses, 6 small buses. Of those 4 of the big buses were spares. Two of the small buses were spareers. In 24, we were down to 29 buses in the fleet. 16 were regular big buses. 5 or regular small buses. We had 4 big spares, 3

082small spares. 25, 26… 127 buses in the fleet. 14 regular big lessons to sign, 5 small buses assigned, which left me 5 big buses as spares. Three little busts of spares. So part of that was a planned decrease. Other open was by drivers leaving the district and staff, I don't have a driver for that bus, or if he comes to spare. part of the… coverage on the overshoot. Um, the remaining… part of the packets you have are divided up into 3 different years. I'll go over 2025, and we'll show you 24, 23, just go with it. So the main sheets on the top are each one of my regular drivers. um, assignments, per se, the bus that they're running, the distance that they travel for each one of those routes. The amount of students that

083are assigned to that. bus route. And then the maximum ride time… by a minute of students on the bus. And so that would be the… basically the first student on first aid when we unload and we get to the school. when we pick up at the school, I don't unload at home in the afternoon. So that shows their assignments there, but you'll see… some of the anomalies I call our district roots, Um, high school wheeler, uh, most of those student ride times, maximum 40 minutes. But, uh, we're picking them up in the morning, the first bus that picks them away for wheelers through this 10-7. We're on loading 730, 735. And we immediately start our Rockwell runs, and we're picking up. Starting 735, 7.40, we're unloaded down at Rockwell, 838, 35, so all the AM

084rock ball runs. Or in approximately 45 to 50 minutes for the longest ride time. drop off food in the morning. Good afternoon, High School Wheeler, the same way. They're in that 30 to 35 minute category. Some of them are a little bit longer outside areas. Um, but Alvarezra runs were very quick, because they get down to Rockwell. drywall run this year in the afternoon. Everybody's off the bus in the 50 to 55. in a category, um, those are my two long fronts. Um, and where you'll… We've got an extra bus in Rockwell this aft. This year, to that in the afternoon. Um, and where you'll be able to see that is if you looked at the cover sheet, for 24, You would look under Chris Searle on your second page. his Route 21 PM last

085year, that was my longest Rockwell run in the afternoon. So we had a couple students that were on there for an hour and 10 minutes. They were over on the, uh… Stevens Road area. by the time that bus delivers some students in Nedro up to Rhino, back around the top Palmine Road, down later on for about 7 minutes. So by adding that extra bus in Rockefeller, not getting some of those kids off. If you look at your 25 sheet, that same run, His longest ridership now to that same house was 58 minutes. So, no longer that hour. So that's how you can compare those sheets through the years and see how the grindership. changes. Some of the outside areas, BOCES runs around to it, ride times. in the postseason, depending on where their placements are,

086where their programs are. Um, on your 25 sheet, if you look under Dan Cassellier, his morning run. They have the right time, basically a hunting events. over an hour and a half, so we pick up our first student up on Griffin Road just before 7. That student rice around our area, picking up other students, and that bus heads from Cortland. This school of lows at 8.30 in the morning. So, he's on that bus for an hour and a half. It's just nature of the beast, where we have to pick them up. In addition to the programs. In the afternoon, you'll see that same that same bus run, you're going to see… Uh, two other students. at that same ride time, they get picked up later in the route. put their program placements down in Cincinnatias.

087So by starting 20 minutes later on the route, their schools off of them 20 minutes later, they sleep in the morning. are you gonna say a long bus ride, so it really depends where their program is. Or how do it. Um, other different things that'll change. It might be, um… Which had a change under what they call the Zucchini Vento student. We have a student that said, if they're within 50 miles of our location, We need to be able to provide transport if they're temporarily displaced. currently have one that's at 49.9 miles. So, if you looked, um, under the driver, um, either, uh, Bill Howard or Dean Perry, go to Bill Hauer in there. That was a serious question. Is that as the crowns? Why is there the actual bus group? Yeah, you type it

088in your Google Maps, and it was figure out your… quickest group, and that's the number they're going to look at. So if you look at Bill Howard's Um, morning run. maximum ride time for that snooze is 120 minutes. He's on that bus for 2 hours. We pick him up where he's located, we pick him up at a 6 in the market currently. Back in the around 7 o'clock, I could transfer them onto one of the big buses that's come out of here to pick up Nedro Stu and see us transferred onto that bus back. He's unloaded to high school. Matt, and I just… just to add one little detail for the benefit to the computer engine legislation, is the student temporary and is completely displaced. They've got a 30-mile radius. They have the option of

089choosing to the district that they're residing in, which could be temporary or long-term. So, like, this would be nice wheel. Your family has the option to send a child to Oswego, or send your child to Puntai Centro, and we have to honor Jaco Beach. We can't choose for them. So if you… as you look down through these, you'll notice the vast majority of the big buses are in-district. And their ride times are under that hour to rock out. 30-40 minutes from High School Wheeler. All of our little buses ready to utilize. out and about for the outside schools. The one Portland run was done with a big bus. Because when that bus comes back and have Nona stops into Rockdall and picks up, three-quarter little pranks. So, it kind of utilizes the pig buses more

090than the littles. as much as we can, um, unless we know it's a real small run. Reason behind that, especially in district, with the big buses, you'll see a lot of them aren't quite matched in ridership. Now, I'm going to be… her 30s, maybe lower 40s. So I'm not a little bit less, but I refer to that as kind of our safety net. If I have a bus break down, or a driver calls in sick, and whatever anomaly it is, I can kind of merge two other buses to pick up what was on that third bus. Everybody just school on time, there's no hiccups. as far as their school day. It also allows me… there is an arrogant district that I can't cover for the big bus. So, all of a sudden, my little buses

091are breaking, and they're out of commission, I could take a big bus and comfort it. So that's part of the reason why I said I'd like to have them. more majority of the bigger buses or spares. They can cover anything, anywhere, at any point in time. Um, Rob also brought up the question about the mid-sized buses, the Class C bus is kind of like with pool bus chassis, but a chopped body. Our big buses can carry 66 passengers, and they'll shop bodies run in the neighborhood of 42 to 44. the cost on those, um… Our big busts are coming in around 180. I called Josh Kuhn a New York bus to get all of our extras on that same chop body. I'm looking at about $10,000 savings. Would I lose my third ridership. option. So

092they are feasible in some spots. I don't see a lot of use for them. Um, the other spot, I don't have… If I replace little buses with those, my parking areas, I don't have room for that size bus, because we're going to park the little ones that are About 8 feet longer to apart, you know, the side fence. best thing, isn't… so the little buses come in around that 100,000 mark, Um, they are definitely handier for doing the long-haul runs, the outside runs. Um, special ed runs at Techstar. Um, but in district, I'd definitely prefer to keep the bigger ones on and just… be able to recover. There's a lot of information there. Look them over when you can, feel free to contact me anytime. If you have any questions on a specific route, or

093a specific rung, or a specific ride time, Thank you, please? Absolutely. You'll also notice a couple of them, if you're looking down through some of the riderships. You'll see where there'll be more than the 48. There'll be a note there whether or not a rotation or something else. A big one that does that is the afternoon bus that goes to Healthy Kids down at Rockwell. You'll see a large number of that run, but not everybody rides every day. Well, I have a question in relation, um, of, like, information that I want to know for the, um, electric bus stuff. This is all really helpful about, like, our distances. What did you say, and I know you told me several times, Over the years, but what is the, um, range that they say for the electromagnosis?

094So, they're going to tell you the numbers between 100 to 110 miles per charge. I know there's lots of other factors. Absolutely. But the butts is terrain and aperture. All that good stuff. And that's for the bacon's. Correct. Little bus isn't that far ahead of it. They are developing new batteries that should increase those numbers. I don't have those numbers yet. Alright, like I say, if you have any questions on any of them, give me a jing. Thanks, Justin. Good evening. Um, our special education teams are working through our annual review meetings, and I just wanted to say thank you for all their hard work. They do a great job preparing, and that's all for me. Thank you. Thank you. So, um, we celebrated Valentine's Day at Rockwell. We did so with a, um, hygiene

095drive, so I wanted to thank all the families who participated to help show our students, um, about how love can be about giving back and community service. Um, we also love-bombed the bridge. It started with some of our staff members, specifically Jessica's, really going all out this year to decorate the bridge for the holidays, and we are keeping it up, um, for all the different holidays, and it's been… it's been fun and bringing a lot of joy to the hallways. Um, just also want to give a pre-K registration update. So, we currently have 25 students registered, um, just Her perspective, we only have 29 in the program right now, so I can't predict what's going to happen. Our registration closes on May 1st, and then we continue to accept any registration that any time until

096we fill up, as well. Um, and we typically get a big rush in the beginning. It's slow triple at this time, and then we'll get another rush, um, over the summer before school starts again. But having 25 already at this point, um, It's possible that we will have a higher number here, at least most likely higher than what we have now. Um, so it's something that I will keep you updated on. We have our pre-K visit from the state, which was rescheduled due to the two-hour delay on March 12th, so we are prepared for that, and we're hoping to have a couple questions answered and have some updates as well. Any questions? fall would be 36, because we have two classrooms. Uh, full is 38, we can max out at 18 in one room, and

09720 in the other, but we would have to have two TAs in the 20-student classroom. We did do that one year. And that's full with two classrooms. We could… we still have access to the expansion grant, we just would have to provide another teacher. We have all the materials in the classroom for the third classroom as well. should be 54, except… Great job. Yeah. That's our goal. Like, if we had 54 students registered, then we'd be maximizing our funding, right? That would change our staffing plan. It would, but we would be funded per student, so if we really… if we really had 54, we… it would cover… The funding from that grant, outside of the general fund, would cover that staff member, where we get into a question mark is if it's over 38, but

098below 54, that was my question. Are we gonna just wait less people after 38? No, after waitlist thing, our thing changes, probably. That's something I think we'll get from the QA if we don't get to the air, so… And one of the proposals from the retail regions report And I proposed it two years ago through… We had 3 teachers, and some districts had a waitlist, not yet a waitlist, and I still have a waitlist. And when I was proposing was that, you know, we would run that funding. Pre-K program, and we would fill up our third classroom with 18 students with Rockette students. Take their sixth, leave that one filled with us. or to maximize our state aid for that, and would have allowed families from our neighboring districts. And so that's that discussion, but

099the state hasn't changed legislation. Um, on how schools are funded. for pre-K, and they still say, no, you can't do that. So, we're in the process of working on that from a regional level. And, um… Uh, doctor programs from this position as Nilsen Superintendent. suit. Any other questions? Uh, Wheeler… Not much going on there right now, other than clubs that have been going on. Passport Club, Student Council, STEM club, intramural started. uh… kind of more in the next meetings as we get closer to testing season. Thank you, Mr. Burton. Last Fist Bump Friday, appreciate that. Um… Other than that, uh, Ski Club was a great success. I already had a number of people asked me about next year already, uh, because the season passes, the lift passes are actually on sale for the following year.

100So, um, I anticipate that to at least double, if not triple, next year, uh, from our end. Uh, Fire Club is still flickering. Um, I was actually amazed. I had a lot of high school kids Uh, reaching out to me, asking me, so that's, uh, that's a kind of a testament of what was going on. They're asking about it, and so I'm gonna make… every effort to make the third leg of our, uh, three big-sitting trip happen. The third leg was going to be the trip. Um, so I put out a flyer today, to some of the kids, we are going to attempt to go to Boston in May. I'm going to solidify that, uh, date, uh, the trip will include, uh, Station 13, which is the most historic, uh, fire department in Boston, which

101is right around the corner from Fenway Park, so we're going to visit That, and attend the game at Fenway Park, uh, in addition to Quincy Market. So, that'll be on the weekend. It won't interfere with anything going on at school. So I don't have to worry about sports or anything like that, so it'll be a Sunday. Uh, I sent a flyer home today for May 3rd. It's probably gonna be the May 10th date, but I'll change that and tell us that, or the students, uh, tomorrow. That's due to, uh, the ticket sales and Fenway. So… Uh, other than that, I look forward to, uh, keeping that rolling, uh, even though my low-level advisor really hasn't been doing much, but uh… He has been keeping it alive. Any questions? Thank you. It's pretty good. Uh, just

102a few updates from the high school. Uh, the Drama Club is presenting Cinderella. Uh, that will be April 10th and 12th at 7pm and 2 p.m. on Sunday. And it's $7 for adults and $4 for students. I just wanted to give a shout out to Carolyn Andino for being awarded the 2025-2026 OCMEA Music Scholarship. Uh, she is awarded the Onondaga County Music Educators Association Music Scholarship. She was one of two vocalists selected in five total scholarships that were awarded on by our county. So, that was a pretty big deal. Uh, so congratulations to her on that amazing achievement. Um, and I don't know if you saw the OCS students, again, participate in the memory project. Uh, this is where they get drawings from other, uh, countries. And, uh, our students draw their faces and their

103portraits, and then they send them back, and they send a video. Uh, it's really a cool, uh, experience, and Mississippi City's been doing it for the last 14 years. Uh, this year, they did it with students from Armenia. Um, and the video was pretty cool, and actually, in the video, there was a couple of portraits that were arms that were in there. And there's schools all across the country that participate in it, but it was very cool. It's a very cool project and a thing that she does. Um, and it started in 2004, but the link is right on the website if you ever want… if you want to watch the video. It's pretty cool. Um, Ryan is at West Canada. We are down 1 at halftime. Uh, they just entered halftime, so we're down

104to 1. going into the second half, um, and for his, uh, report out, we had a very successful winter athletic season. Uh, some highlights, indoor track, Reed Luton won the 3,200 meter, claiming the Section 3 champion. Uh, championships has been, uh, Ben Nett won the pole vaulting, claiming the Section 3 championship. Nas Grant set the school record for weight throw with a throw of 32 feet 7 inches. 7.5 inches, actually. Uh, Logan Hanke set a new record in the shot putt with a throw of 38 feet, and… And, uh, 38 and a half feet. the boys, uh, placed third in overall Section 3, or VASC, and the girls plays 4th in overall class seat. Um, for wrestling, uh, congratulations to Jack Burton on reaching 100 wins for his career, and the sectional championship tournament. Uh,

105Jake Burton placed second in the sectional championship tournament and advanced to the state tournament this weekend. So, wishing them luck, or wishing them luck this weekend. Uh, the team won their first ever Section 3 Division II Dual Meet Championship. And the team also won their first-ever Section 3 Division II championship. team championship, so great job to that. That was fantastic. Uh, ice hockey had a very successful season, clinching the third seed overall in their sectional bracket. Uh, for girls basketball, Sydney Cox reached her 1,000-point mark earlier this season. The girls got to play first, uh, play in a home game for their first game in sectionals. last Friday, we didn't beat Beaver River, and as I said, they're playing West Canada right now. Uh, the boys basketball, Howard Wright was named Player of the Year

106for the OHSL Patriot American League. Uh, Coach Ben was named Coach of the Year for the OHSL Patriot League. Uh, the boys also, uh, won the OHSL League title this year. And they hosted a game this past Friday versus Hamilton, and they played tomorrow versus Cooperstown. Um, all of the Andaga sports team were scholar-athletes. the winter sports teams were scholar athletes. And then upcoming dates, which I mentioned the West Canada and Cooperstown, and then wrestling, uh, at the MVP Arena on this weekend. So, any questions for the high school or athletics? A lot of good stuff. A lot of good stuff. Yep. A lot of things to celebrate, which is fantastic for all great kids. I think the memory project, they're usually at, um, Night of the Arts. There's usually… They do, they finally do

107a little video, and then I think, uh, some of the portraits are there. Or pictures of the portraits, because the ports are too sensitive. Always logged into our egg and a half feet? Is that a… Uh, that was the weight throw. And… Not as bright. Nas had the weight throw of 32 feet, 7.5 inches. Logan had a shot put throw of 38 feet, uh… 38 feet… Uh, 38.5 and a half inches. So I'm 38 feet, that's a school runner. That is, uh, the new React school run. Yep. But I have to gossip! It's good. Looking bright. Thank you. Great. Thank you for this. a, uh, commission members… Thanks, everyone. Great information, last good information tonight, thank you. That's a great sense. Thank you for clarification, because we've touched as long as… Yeah, absolutely. A lot

108of going after that. Victory. Thank you. Yes, I get these till it warms up. Yes, for you. Um, okay, speaking to the board, um, Hi everyone, Mom. First up, I, uh, on behalf of the Nano Community Crew, uh, we're going to be running our, um, Nagro Community Earth Day on April 25th from May 30 to 11.30, partnering with the fire department and the auxiliary again. We're really, um, happy a lot of the sports teams and, um, Students from OCS come and help us out, so we wanted to make them aware of that happening. Uh, it was Saturday, April 25th, 8-11? 8th or 5th, 8.30 to 11.30. Um, and they'll also be burning one up in Onondaga Hill. I'm not sure which time that is. Usually… Uh, so we want to make sure that the prayer

109and that you're all invited. Um, one thing I got thinking of, uh, last week, I think, was I had an issue with, um, an unsafe driver driving past one of our buses that Mr. Dodd was so kind to take care of. Uh, but he was out, actually, on Iran. Um, when I went to college, because we are short, so, um… Just a couple things that might be an interesting time to have a table, maybe at our birthday. We had last year over 125 people come to our birthday cleanup. Um, and also, a lot of our residents may not have, um, students, so they don't have school until I know that we have open positions. So, maybe posting that on our signs, um, I did see them hosting that trainees paid for, you know, you can

110do the training. Um, and I just think that that's an opportunity for us, um, as a community to get the word out to everyone in the community, um, even if you don't have kids currently in school. Uh, just an idea. Um, Mrs. Daly has told us from Montana, she gets the phone call for the grandson that Sorry, you have to take your own kid to school, or must, you know, we don't have bus drivers. So, you know, I think we've got to be proactive, and we've got to reach out to everybody in our community, um, to try to help Mr. Dash. staff is bosses. Um, then next, I know it's not going to be an easy job for you all as board members, um, coming up with the next budget. Um, every year, though, it

111has a way of working itself out. There's a lot of tough conversations that happen, and it's not easy, so as a community member, we appreciate the dialogue and the time that you all take. Um, to do this with us. Just a couple things, though, I'd like to maybe… have resolutions on over the past few years, we started out, like, with the SROs in one. And then we got grants, and we got two, and then we got three. We always knew that we couldn't always maintain these positions. If things got tight. And because we have new board members on, I think that they need a little review of some of those positions that, you know, we have approved over the last 5 years, Um, that… Every physician that touches a child is necessary, and every safety

112issue is necessary, but are there ways to get appointments? Are there other ways to get money? Um, to help in these times of needs for our kids. And I reported with Future Conversations, so thank you. Thank you. I'm actually gonna follow up what she said, um, have an issue after peace. Now, if everybody's going over this budget information… Just wanted to come and see you today and see where we're living at, and how I invested in our times right now. Um, she upgrades, um, hard work, and… who are seeing us move forward, guys. just get started on the journey. But every, you know, every… part of it being large high school. This keeps building these kids to where they are. You know, the area and everything about sports teams, um, you had the Jeremiah group

My parents broke the bus drivers, um… And I said, Dorian was here when my mom was here, and my dad is here, so… Um, she's well-reserved, and… retirement, and I think when she was when she wants to stay home and actually drive the bus. So, let's Edith, thank you very much. I think Mr. Sparks coming along in the series, everybody for coming to see how much time. Great. Thank you. need your assistance, rather. back in for me. Thank you, everyone, for your time. Oh, because it went dark. I didn't press the street. Okay, uh… Consensus items, each four are in proportion to… Consent items, um, H2, typically shipping. So,

And, um… I think that's our, uh… That reminds me of, I was gonna volunteer Mr. Price to come back and ride to the bus. It's a motion. Vote on it. So that'd be nice to start taking time out of my day for them to teach me how to drive. That didn't raise your feet. We are a fan session for data.
