[snorts] >> Dear God, we thank you for this day. We also thank you for the opportunity to serve our community and our most valuable asset, the children in this community. We ask your blessings on our superintendent and his staff and blessings on all of our teachers, administrators, and staff that work with our children uh every day. Our heavenly father,

we also ask your protection on our first responders, both foreign and abroad. We also ask for guidance for our national, state, and local leaders, as they make decisions that affect our lives. We ask all these things in thy name. Amen. First of all, I'd like to congratulate I know our superintendent, Dr. Brackens, and all of the staff that work on this, but I was very pleased to see that our student uh grades are continuing to increase and that is significant because

we are a large the largest system in the state. complex issues that we have to deal with daily, but we are overcoming them. And that's due to the very hard work of all of our teachers and administrators that are on the front line with this every day. So, I want to make sure that u that the public knows how hard we work. You can't compare one district to another because we're looking at apples and oranges and the differences that exist, but we know what our kids, our students are capable of and I just appreciate the hard work and it it's uh it's paying off for us. So, congratulations on that. >> Yes. I would just like to say that uh I think Dr. Brackens and her team as well as our superintendent has done a

great job in reference to um our report card. State report card was very very good. We went up two points. Um thanks to district 4, but um I just want [snorts] to put that out there. Anyway, but we appreciate everything that you guys have done. Our teachers are working real hard in our schools and and the our score reflects that. and uh just continue what you're doing and we will get there to 100 like the three schools in my district. >> Your district [laughter] [snorts] applause. >> I'd like to add to that also that want to thank all I'm just proud of where we at. We've come up >> from the superintendent down to the plant engineers, the teachers, the bus drivers, our whole system, our organization. U I've seen is is clicking on all

cylinders and uh it come starts at the top and I I want to thank you for that. >> Mr. Hatchet, >> I echo those remarks. Uh I think it's wonderful to to go up in a report card. We know what it feels like to go down for sure. Um also at our last meeting I had spoke on uh cameras and prayer. Uh I'd like to uh talk about that for a second. We uh I spoke with uh Frank. Uh we got some probably not the best news uh with a Supreme Court ruling that come

out Florida. Am I correct Frank? >> Yeah. Out of the Tampa, I believe. [snorts] >> Yes. Uh it was not the best news uh what I'd like to for the prayer. Now the cameras is good news. They say do it. They said do it tomorrow. >> Uh >> well, I want to discuss that. See we have a cost projection with this later. At the end of the day, the it's it's it's not a deal breaker, but it's disheartening. And uh I would just like to ask that the attorneys delve off a little deeper and see if we can't >> I have looked at it carefully. I can talk about it now or I can >> I think I that's probably going to be a discussion for later. >> But anyway, I I would definitely appreciate

you doing that. Let's you know, keep moving that direction. [snorts] proceed, please. >> Yes, sir. We will start with our action. Oh, go ahead. I'm sorry. >> I meant to talk to you earlier. I >> I think we can treat the consent items and the flow three items as a on uh based on my review of the statute, we don't need to change the actual format of the agenda. But I don't think you have to go through every one of those. >> Flow through and consent. >> Okay. >> Consent. [snorts] >> Yeah. You good with that? >> January. >> Okay. We're ready. >> Yes. >> Okay. Okay, time for [clears throat] seven employment matters. One's the subject of my uh email to the board of October 31st and they were sent there or six sent

on 117 that we need to address on Monday. >> All right. Springfield, you have >> Yes, sir. I have a couple things. First of all, I forgot to mention in the my previous early announcements. I was complimenting Mr. Anderson and the facility staff on their efforts to attract uh new employees to our system. I was talking to Mr. Parsons and he can address that. They have a site now on Facebook where they're uh offering uh employment opportunities for tradesmen. And I happened to notice on Fox 10 News uh that they reported the same thing. And I wanted to compliment the facilities division, Mr. Anderson and all of his staff for reaching out. And I think that's hopefully going to pay dividends for us like that. So congratulations on that. And I didn't know if you

wanted to say anything, Mr. uh Parsons, about what you saw like that. Uh, and then the other thing, uh, I had a question that was asked, the rumor mail going around is that if I was a former bus driver, uh, and I wanted to come back that there would be a $100 bonus. Is there any credence to that, Mr. >> Thread Gil? Thank you, sir. I did not know the answer to that, but I assumed somebody would know the answer to that. Okay. And the last thing I'm going to say, and this is probably after the fact, I was concerned when a lot of the title funds uh were being up held up with what's happening with the national school board. uh the situation, but it seems now looking at this, Mr. Thail that those

funds are flowing through now. So hopefully there's been no delay in them like that. >> That sounds good then. Thank you, sir. >> Miss McDade. >> No, sir. >> Mr. H. >> Yes. Have we received any monies from the uh governor yet? 60 some odd million. Have they sent that or >> co >> but they've already we've already received that then >> okay well let me clarify I get some clarification on that particular point >> was that it was co money whatever that was Yeah, I remember >> it was in our training thing. We had that same but the amount of it was 53. >> That's correct. >> 58 million. So that was on top of everything else. That was just a one. Hopefully hopefully we can get >> what we've been spending on. I'm

sorry. So that none of that what you just mentioned is not already built in the budget. >> Is there any other monies that the governor is uh supposed to be allocating? >> Yes, that would be the only monies. Mr. Chair, >> I talked to the senator yesterday and that's why I was I was questioning. >> Mr. Chairman, I mean Mr. Thre. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. We have two or three um facilities things that are were mentioned here and the funding source had to be determined. What does that mean, Mr. Thail? some of that like donation money and then we have to fill it. >> So we have to >> and would that be facilities monies that we receive from the state that kind of stuff? So we would have to use those monies to complete

the projects. Thank you. >> On Monday, we held a routine meeting 9:45 >> [snorts] >> say 9:45. I got 10 o'clock on my schedule. So >> 9:45. [snorts] Well, I don't want to miss it. That's what I don't want to do. >> Get here at 10:45. It's over. >> I'll be there. I'll be >> all right. Motion. So move second.
