of three and no lady pirates versus the uh one one and four and then four lady chargers so it's gonna be an interesting matchup it's gonna be a good game um i think all around it's just i don't know it's gonna be it's gonna be a good game um the pirates this year started off very strongly with a 3-0 record uh they beat a very tough opponent rushville on saturday night it was a very good game between the two teams greensburg really pulled ahead towards the end here come the girls now ready for warm-ups let's see what the pre-game routine is oh welcome back to the greensburg high school gymnasium uh the greensburg pirates and north dakota chargers are in their warm-ups we've got eight minutes left until game time here i'm alongside jaylen woods
and peyton katrin and i myself and sam bauer peyton what do you think we have in store for us tonight here uh it should be a good game you know inner county rivalry it's always special when these two teams get together uh right now we're just listening to some tunes listen to watching them warm up not a lot going on and jaylen what's give us a rundown of the pirates previous games here yeah we got a uh we got a we had a few good matchups we had a big w over against uh connorsville 59 to and then we played south dearborn about a few game the game next after that and then i got uh they got 66 up on there compared to saw dearborn's 24. and rushville uh a big w against them
uh yeah 59 against 48. that was a big one for the pirates rushville was one of their top contenders this year and they proved that they could take him down with pretty much no difficulty it was a close game i attended um i mean the pirates played their hearts out that whole game a lot of players in foul trouble taylor cooney especially she uh she was she was playing good defense but she was just not getting the call she wanted uh the refs would she'd get up too close onto somebody and the rest would call it for a foul she didn't play most of the game because of her foul trouble and she's a big big essential part of this team yeah you could tell they wanted that game too they seemed hungry with it
it was a it was definitely a good game for sure i agree peyton what are your thoughts on tonight's game do you think the chargers can come out and compete against the pirates tonight uh well the pirate's got a lot of seniors this year and that's definitely going to help them the experience you can't beat that and i just think that the pirates have the upper hand i'd agree there the pirates they've really shown how strong they are this year um we've got anna west the senior taylor cooney a senior molina wilkerson a senior those are our three main starters hillary ernst is a senior as well but she does not start but i really think the pirates can get it done with ease tonight in my opinion that's just by watching them and jalen
what do you think yeah uh if we're going into going into north decatur's schedule uh they came off strong with a big win against south decatur uh 62-32 and then they kind of went on a little dry streak there for a second with uh [Music] losing to south ripley uh charlottesville and lawrenceburg so it's a it's been a tough schedule for them so far so we'll see how they do tonight well we're just about at the five-minute mark until we begin this matchup between the chargers and pirates so yeah we're hoping to see some action some good action tonight i'm assuming it'll be a very fast-paced game as the pirates play quickly they like to move the ball a lot uh that's one thing that they look for is moving the ball simpson our coach
loves ball movement uh you'll see him get a little angry if we don't move the ball properly and we just chuck up a three it's a very animated guy yeah he is so heck of a coach though heck of a guy very good i've done a lot of good great things for this grinder organization and for these lady pirates over the years so if you remember back when our boys team 2012 2013 2013 2014 he was a he's an essential part of the coaching staff he was so he good to have a guy with very good experience coaching our girls varsity team now and he's he's been good for the years he's been here yes they made a very uh great run in 2017-2018 with us getting state runners up being semi-state champions a great
season that year they played a great season great year and um it looks like hopefully we have a great great season this year too as well i mean it's looking we're looking good so far so and any moment here the pirates will be running out of the locker room and soon we'll get the national anthem underway and then the game will start so we're just minutes away uh about a little over three minutes here a little under four minutes should prove to be a very good matchup tonight any thoughts well i was just going to say we got the cheerleaders and lady pirate tears lining up for some to help welcome the girls in tonight so i haven't seen the introduction because this is the first home game of course so excited to see what
that's like here come the chargers here come our pirates our starters tonight for our lady pirates are uh number 20 taylor cooney number 22 hillary ernstus number 32 melina wilkerson number 34 claudia sims and number 42 anna west so a pretty senior heavy corps right there great great leaders of the team so we'll see how we're going to deal with it and one player north decatur well two players north decatur might want to focus on tonight are taylor cooney and melina wilkerson uh there's the three minute warning taylor cooney has proved to be such a terrific drive and pull-up game she has a good game there and melina wilks melina wilson is a terrific driver she's extremely quick players yeah extremely quick someone you don't have gardening you on defense she really knows how to
get through the basket and weave through there and get get her lay up in and she also proves to be a very very good outside shooter so does taylor cooney as well and one of the other players i might want to watch out for too is anna west she is just a huge mismatch yeah she's so tall and lengthy that she can just basically put anything back up that she wants to and grab a board and north decatur really does not have anyone that tall i believe um i don't believe they have anybody over six foot they might but checking the sheet here the on varsity i don't ella koontz their tallest well yeah we've got but she i believe played jv from what i was watching so i don't know how much varsity playing
time she would get if they're in a pinch against anna west and anna was really dominating down there they might throw her in just to have a better match up but not sure there it's definitely going to be a touch tough matchup for sure to get right but we'll have to see what north decatur throws at the lady pirates and just see from there it might have to be a on the fly adjustment we'll have to see it appears the pirates are heading towards their bench for a final briefing before they head out to the court north dakota's coaches are hauling them back into their bench as well and we're just a minute away from this matchup and if you're just tuning in i am jalen woods here with sam and peyton katrin uh it's
gonna it's gonna be a good game against north decatur and greensburg pirates uh we got the cheerleaders coming out onto the court now around 50 seconds left and warm-ups i believe yes they have just paused warm-ups and put up the clock time and here comes the national anthem we will be back with you in just a and moment to those around you abusive language or disorderly conduct is unacceptable and unwelcomed at ihsaa events let's record the student athletes coaches officials and your fellow fans the respect they deserve your cooperation is appreciated now if you would please rise and remove your hats for the point of our national anthem [Music] [Applause] just starting at forward number 14 hayley coral [Applause] brittany krieger guard number 40 madeline bowman the lady charges your coach by matt parker to
be the best [Applause] [Music] [Applause] make some noise [Applause] [Music] hillary [Music] claudius [Music] [Applause] taylor cooney the lady pirates are coached by jason simpson about to get this matchup underway my name is sam bauer alongside peyton katrin to my left and jalen woods to my right both teams walking out to the court for tip-off now what do you think about the lineup tonight jalen um like i said it's gonna be an interesting game for sure it's uh we're gonna it's the uh three and oh lady pirates versus the uh one and four north decatur chargers they uh here we go for tip-off anna west tips it to melina wilkson molina wilkson dribbling down to the three-point line crosses over passes to claudia sims claudia's sentence pass it to taylor cooney skip pass across the
court to maleena wilkes and malene wilson shoots to three off by just mere inches here we go back to melina wilson anna west with the rebound taylor cooney with the ball on the right wing claudia sims with the ball on the left wing now back to the anna west in the middle back out to taylor cooney taylor cooney with the three off the back of the rim melina wilkson gets the rebound charges in gets the gets the bucket for two points one possession and you allowed him to get that many rebounds you're just asking to get scored on exactly i agree peyton that's what happens when you have a tall forward down low jenna geiss down to haley gorilla gets tipped out by anna west we got brittany krueger taking the ball out krieger taps
the ball to get ready to inbound it pass it to guerrell gorilla is not looking it's the ball throws it up no points awarded great board by taylor cooney taylor cooney down the court with her left hand charges into the paint pass a tay in the west hanna west with a bucket for two points was an assist by taylor cooney right there isn't it i was a great assist that was a great that's a good way to use your vision see down court and see the airplane player taylor cooney tightly on morgan stanley at the top of the half court line stanley to krieger krieger down to bowman in the bottom bowman with the two points off the backboard cooney pass it to melina wilkson down court melina wilson crosses over goes up appeared to
be of contact yeah appeared to have been some contact there anna west at the top of the key oh almost banked it in guys having a little trouble with the ball there stanley dribbles the ball at the court passes it to bowman bowman driving in back to bowman at the top of the key bowman driving in once again gets another bucket and if you're the pirates you got to keep a close eye on her and molina wilson dribbles down off the fast break and gets a basket for the pirates parts are playing a really quick game right now they are indeed no breaks have been taken in the last two minutes here very quick anything elaine wilson tips the ball and gets the turnover back to haley ernst oh bad turnover ernst turns it over
stanley looks to slow down here looks like the chargers have a different game plan here pirates are more running gun chargers are more laid back and just trying to get their get their layups in stanley with the rebound krieger tipped it to her here we go stanley off the screen by guerrille bowman dribbles down takes a jump shot at the free-throw line off the front of the rim taylor cooney goes for the rebound jenna guys in misses the layup anna west ball bounces right back to west she didn't even have to jump for that rebound that's easy she did not that was a good rebound by her just straight into her hands held the ball strongly wilkson at the left side of the key skips to claudia sims cooney at the top of the key
back to wilkson on the left side of the here we go cooney to wilkinson wilkinson on the left ring shoots it anna west tries to grab the ball both players struggling with the ball yeah sims was out of bounds there sub's coming in for the pirates real quick appears we're taking out sims and ernest hillary makes a trip back to the locker room don't know what that was about stanley dribbles the ball at the court chargers looking for something here they are down six to four pirates lead grill at the top of the key dribbling in trying to drive wilkerson with great defense cooney tight on stanley right now back to krieger at the right wing krieger tries to inbound low molina wilson with the steal what a great seal by melina wilkinson going all
the way in gets the bucket and the and one and there's some of that speed we were talking about earlier she just outran her she has tremendous speed i'm pretty sure she could even beat me in a foot race it's okay to admit it sam [Music] here we go wilkson will shoot two that's my bad yeah thanks for my catch peyton off the front of the rim there bowman dribbling up the court looking for the drive dishes it to gorilla grill looking for the drive as well turns it over once again wilson with the ticket pirates cooney dribbles in for the fast break layup off the backboard adams with the rebound adams goes back up gets oh bounces around on the rim cooney gets the rebound once again passes it to wilkinson wilkinson decides to
shoot at the top of the key off the left side of the rim stanley gets a tough rebound there she brings it up the court uh pirates going with a taller lineup right now yeah they're going for size today it appears they needed someone in there to stop bowman if she got two quick points or four quick points pretty easily um and it appears now she has slowed down as the pirates have put into or put in a taller freshman here carly adams cooney to foster foster to wilkinson foster at the top of the key down to cooney cooney with the three on the right side great shot right side baseline what a three by taylor cooney pirates lead 11 to four pirates look to get that ball into the high post with wesson so
she can draw a double team and dish it back out and it's working well so far it is it is indeed jalen what are you thinking from here on out how do you think the game's going to go i mean i what i'm from what i'm seeing the lady pirates are doing great on the boards they are crashing the boards they're getting the rebounds and they are just efficient with their movement i think it's going to be i think they're looking pretty good i agree um already 11 to 4 with 325 left in the first quarter north decatur taking a little bit of an extended time out here can't blame him though as the pirates came out kicking and shooting here oh they gotta talk all that they can yeah they do here comes some
pressure by the pirates that's a good game plan here coming out oh tip pass out of bounds 3 15 left in the quarter out of bounds by the parts bowman will take the ball out wes not putting so much pressure on her standing back a little bit as to guard the bottom half of the of the court here stanley with the ball dribbles with her left hand goes to the left side of the wing dishes back out passes madeleine hoover hoover with the ball dribbles once passes to madeleine bowman once again bowman looks for the shot takes the three-pointer on left side of the wing off the front of the rim here we go cooney dribbling in for the fast break off the front of the rim again chargers with the rebound this game's moving
mightily quickly here as stanley is at the top of the key dribbling cooney with a great defense stops her left hand back to bowman bowman dribbling around trying to get around anna west geiss with the ball up top dishes it to grill grill and hoover kind of got knotted up a little bit there didn't know who was going to take the ball here we go gorilla back to stanley stanley dribbles with her right hand tries to get into the basket throws up his shot no good chargers look to just run their offense through morgan stanley right now they're not allowing anyone else to get a lot of ball handling no they're not here goes west top of the free-throw line and there's two for west here comes some more pressure by the pirates hoping to
force a turnover wilkerson down guarding bowman here we go bowman passes it off the top of hoover's fingers goes to the sideline out of bounds the pirates will take the ball out specifically foster for the pirates who passes into cooney cooney is now dribbling up the court back to foster simpson calm plays from the bench right now here we go pirates with the ball movement cooney has it to run in indiana oh there we go off the almost had an alley-oop there yeah i know that was a heck of a pass there just wilkson didn't have enough strength to get it up as she was midair when she caught the ball hoover dribbling in guys with the shot over the over the rim actually and hoover trying to get the ball back but knocks it
out of bounds the chargers are fighting here it's just the pirates are proving to be tough score is uh 13 to four with a minute 29 left in the first quarter um just the sheer the sheer board just seems like green drug and the defense at greensboro is playing it's going to be tough for north decatur it is it's going to be tough for him as the pirates are just now slowly swinging the ball around looking for that open layup as they don't want to waste a bad shot here with only around a minute left in the quarter and there goes the skip pass to foster on the other wing the right side of the wing wilkinson is up at the top of the key dribbling around she's trying to get into the basket she
finds her way in there just misses it that appears it was off the chart no off the pirates and it tipped out of bounds right there 13-4 pirates are up still applying pressure to the chargers stanley with the baseball pass to hoover across the court down low to guerrell gorilla being strong with it hoover for three right off the front of the front of the rim from the baseline there wilson looks for the open man up court west catches the ball throws it back to carly adams carly adams with the two-point jumper right at the block what a good shot by adams such a good freshman isn't she guys from what i'm saying it just seems like she fits right in with the grindberg lineup cody steals from hoover here cooney appears to have a
good good lane bowman goes up bodies her and fouls her yeah what i'm saying is she just seems like she just fits right in uh age not really a problem for the pirates she looks like she just fitting right in and playing playing great and her height really really matters here i mean we have two tall tall girls in here against the chargers and they're proving to get all the boards they can and really show out and here goes cooney sinks both of the free throws that it's now 17-4 pirates with 17 seconds left in the first quarter pirates proving to come out very strongly today they appear to be ready bowman with the three-pointer it goes in it is 17-7 pirates here we go two seconds left will cooney make this shot from half
court throws it up off the backboard hearts are just controlling the game right now they're getting anything they want right at the rim too they really are in if you've been watching bowman is the only only lady who has points for the chargers right now yeah we got 17 to seven uh the lady pirates taking the lead here in the first quarter um is so far it's just what do you think is what do you think's uh working for the pirates well what i really think is working is they've been running their plays very well the ball movement has been terrific by the pirates to get that open lane into the basket um what's been helping them out are the anna west and carly adams down low as they're just sponges for the boards they
suck those suck those boards up like it's nothing uh peyton well the pirates are playing terrific in transition right now there's outrunning the chargers getting more rebounds getting more steals and they're getting easy buckets on the other end yeah yeah i agree um we're just about ready yep there's the buzzer for the start of the second quarter both teams still talking coaches talking to him first warning for both of the teams to get back onto the court pirates break and now they're back on the court waiting for the chargers chargers look to get the ball to start the second quarter here they finally get some size in there to battle the size of the pirates i figured that would happen they have to try to control one of the tall ladies here somehow sometimes height
is the only way krieger with the ball dribbling up top appears to be under pressure pass it to guerrell foster almost steals it away grell with the two points [Applause] here we go adams passes it into cooney cooney to foster foster back to cooney at the top of the key cooney down low to adams adams appears to be pressured cooney with the ball to top the key foster goes for the three it is good what a shot by foster shoot now i think that was just a defensive breakdown by the lady chargers it just seems like she was wide open for that easy buck they didn't seem to get all all the way out there in time and stanley blows right past cummer bowman with the ball here goes stanley again passes it to bowman
once again west trying her hardest to keep bowman contained bowman bounce pass to stanley drives in passes it to guerrell guerrell goes up and that's another two points for the chargers that was just a great way of keeping our eyes up seeing the open open player down low and it appears we've had some defensive breakdowns by the pirates here and the chargers have been able to whittle their way in there with a nice cut and a nice pass just something we need to work to contain here if we want to keep our lead as it is pirates just now swinging the ball around the top of the key as they usually do cummer to foster foster down to adams adams with the jump shot there's two points for the pirates adam's 100 for her for
her field goals tonight um i believe she has what is it four or six uh i'm pretty sure four on the night yeah here goes cooney with the rebound cooney down to comer cummer seems to lose the ball with pressure yeah she's got to get a better handle on that right there she's gotta she's gotta contain that ball and get it back up or at least try to if you can contain it you can at least maybe get a foul on a fast break there yeah you're right and number 32 wilkerson coming in for foster here we go bone with the ball at the top of the key passes it to krieger krieger drives with her left hand down low and there's a defensive breakdown by the pirates once again [Applause] really need to contain
the contain the offense here uh wilkerson with the skip pass over to cummer cummer does not take the open three decides to pass out wilkerson has an open three but decides not to take it again ball movement is key here goes cummer wide open once again but passes up the three here goes wilkson driving down baseline passes it to cooney cooney up with the three off the front of the rim doesn't take that wide open too the chargers are gonna leave her open and be able to have another defender down low they are and i believe last game she had two open threes and hit one of them and well there's another basket by the charger it's number 54. yeah shoot she's got it here goes comer dishes into adams but it's battered right out
and the chargers appear to have some control over this game now stanley dribbling in cooney with the terrific defense stopping her up top there's the screen on anna west by morgan stanley krieger passes it down low to gorilla gorilla contained throws up another shot and it goes in with that shot with from guerrell the pirates have slimmed this lead down here's one of our players are tying their shoes here yes wilson is tying her shoes she needed to lace it up real quick quick timeout called by the official score is now 22 to 17 with 4 42 left in the second quarter uh the chargers look like they're getting some rhythm going on uh cutting through our pirates defense making some easy shots i agree and the pirates have really not scored that much now
i mean there's cummer once again the ball batted away uh pirates need to find an answer to that and here goes that oh i believe they let a travel get away there they definitely yeah that was a bad mess that was a travel right there yeah but no worries as you can't control the officiating so coons throws in the basket gets the ant or no that was grill grill throws in the basket uh gets the end one and it's now 22 to 19 pirates and the chargers are making a quick comeback here the pirates better stay in this game if they want to win 4 23 left in the quarter grells free throws off target here goes cooney dribbling down the court and you can hope the pirates are looking to find an open basket
here as they need it desperately here goes wilkson dribbling in good bounce pass to cummer comer not quick enough cummer throws up the shot and there's a good shot by cummer great shot by connor there we go and that makes you wonder why she hadn't been shooting her three wide open threes there maybe she's just scared maybe she doesn't want to hurt her team or make him mad but no you start you start to think maybe it's a little bit in the game plan too you know maybe coach had something to say about some threes before west with the good rebound stanley applying pressure but quickly told to go back comer with the ball again i it appears the chargers are on or tighter now wilkinson passes to cooney guarded by stanley here goes cummer
head fake dribble pass into anna west west passes it to wilkinson wilkinson for the three it appears to be long cummer down for the board cummer gets two points great board great great board great score by uh cummer cummer makes up for a few of those turnovers she had just a couple minutes ago it is 26-19 with uh 325 left in the second quarter and i want to take control of this game they're gonna have to continue to make the pirates uncomfortable because when they opened this quarter they applied a lot of pressure and it made the it's uncomfortable and it does seem to catch up a little bit it does seem like the power or the chargers i mean i'm sorry uh the chargers aren't making their way they are passing their they're just
getting through to our pirate defense and uh i think we're getting efficient with the ball i think coach matt barker for the chargers figured out what they needed to do better and told his team drew up a few things that they needed to do and it appears they are now doing better than they were it's a great job by the north decatur chargers and this has been such a fast-paced game only three thousand the game won by the pirates and two by the chargers and there haven't been many shots thrown up tonight not as many as you would expect from a such a tough rivalry here and here we go krieger at the top of the key throws up a three but misses bowman with the rebound as nobody blocks her out and there goes
bowman with a jump shot bowman is looking pretty good tonight isn't she son she is she's been able to get those baskets when the chargers needed them that's tipped out by bowman oh no that they called it for the chargers here looks like bowman might have tipped it into wilkerson and just got the ball for the uh chargers here we go 250 left in the second quarter until halftime 26-21 pirates lead bowman with the ball dribbles left to the top of the key cooney knocks it away cooney going down for the fast break throws up a shot there's the two points what a layup by cooney what a steal buyer actually i mean just saw the ball right in front of her knocked it away such a good steal there here goes stanley dribbling in
using that arm for creer with the ball dribbles in goes for the basket gets gets denied by anna west grace i mean it's a great play by anna west for sure she's not letting any easy shots get up right now no she is not that's something we saw against rushville she really just battled away any ball that she could proved to be proved to be a good essential part of the pirate team let's get another steal here and molina wilson goes in for the layup but goes high jenna foster gets blocked that should have been effective well i could hear the smack from over i could too but sometimes you miss him a little confusion here as the pirates don't understand it's taking the ball out west has taken it out passes it into cooney
cooney passes it down the west west posted up just misses the basket there should have taken her time a little more if she had it yeah she's got to take a second to realize where she's at instead of just throwing that up i agree there so krieger has the ball for the chargers at the top of the key dribbles down open lane west tries to guard there's a wire there's another easy basket by the chargers just just a wide open lane for krieger to take that he's got to be able to rotate a little bit quicker than that if she wants to stop those easy buckets yes he does claudia sims checking back in here in a minute cooney for three just often the essential players for the pirates tonight are not hitting their three-pointers
as they should be that's that's proven to be a little bit of a difficulty tonight that we're gonna have to work around maybe just starting to drive more or whatever but here we go just a another steal yeah got at least two or three by now she does she's driving in there's a foul wilkerson goes up strong and gets the gets the two point shots here one thing i've always noticed noticed and she's always been pretty good at drawing them out she just goes right into the person without any hesitation just go straight up and a lot of times that proves to be a foul call those fouls are always usually turn into some easy buckets so that's a great job by melina wilson we got it's 28 to 23 with a minute and nine
left in the uh half with another timeout from i believe the pirates took this one got a little over a minute left in the first half here pirates are up by five 28-23 yeah so back to the action here both teams walking back out on the court wilkerson will shoot too her free throws the other night against rushville saturday night were very good i believe she only missed one or two let's hope we don't jinx her here now appears i did as she misses the first one a little bit of a jinx there you never want to do that to your own team no matt you live and you learn wilkson once again with the shot there drains the second one sim's coming in for wilkerson hearts looking to match up with the chargers players
as they got a few taller players in than they did earlier stanley with the ball at the top of the key guarded very tightly by taylor cooney krieger dribbling with her right hand sim staying up quick with her cummer drops down for the defense krieger passes in foster kicks it way neither stanley or cooney have had a break yet i believe and they've been going at it this whole entire first half they have guarding each other tightly really just giving it all they have it's a great matchup between those two guys and guyson yep guys into the game for the chargers bowman taking the ball out of bounds for the chargers see oh grell throws up the shot does not go in here we go cooney with the ball and you would think the pirates
game plan here is to hold till the second half but unless they have an open layup i believe they're not going to shoot off the referee for some reason a little confusion here pirate fans not happy with that call i think cummer believed it was tipped but the referee didn't see it so she just let it go out of bounds and it ends up being another turnover on her all right yep pierce that's what happened cooney guarding stanley tightly as she has been the whole game guys with the ball sims on guys guerrell now gets the ball but the help defense is there and the ball's batted away but the chargers get it back here comes the screen nope stanley does not use the screen cooney's still on stanley it appears the chargers are going
to hold the ball for the last shot unless kun oh stanley gets denied there at the basket grell goes up oh foul by cummer guerrell will get two two three shots here from the line cooney's just playing absolutely great defense against stanley right now and yeah i agree and with 6.9 seconds left here in the second quarter the pirates might get one more chance to get a bucket let's see these free throws for the lady chargers one is no good pierce the chargers are back on defense trying to stop the pirates from getting an easy fast break bucket here they only have bowman down low and there's the second free throw sunk by guerrell let's see what kind of shot the pirates get up here before the end of the half if they can move
the ball just once oh cooney gets into trouble he's gonna hold it throws the ball away and we'll see what happens at halftime here what simpson's game plan is and what barker's game plan is such such a close game here and you hope the pirates come out on top here if you're a pirates fan if you're a north fan you hope the chargers can come back we got 29 to 24 at the end of this half and it's it's been a pretty good game it looked like uh after that first quarter pirates were looking like they were dominating the court but then i don't know what happened after a short timeout just seems like please welcome your friends community high school pirates tonight your privateers have performed to lose control i know what yeah [Music]
oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] everybody get out of control [Music] music [Applause] that was our greensburg pirate tears uh with our halftime performance still got about 6 minutes and 30 seconds till we get the second half underway and what are your thoughts on the second half here peyton uh well one thing that went well for the lady pirates in the first half was they were clogging the passing lanes and they were getting a ton of steals and getting transition buckets and the chargers gonna have to stop that if they hope to come back in this game jalen uh you can you can just tell that uh it seems like greensburg pirates are just dominating on the boards or just um like you said with those two big uh very tall ladies uh up [Music] chargers have
proved to be someone not mess with us they came back into this game very quickly um the pirates here are just trying to push their lead open open even more but they they have been struggling recently as they've been getting a lot of turnovers and a lot of missed shots but they have been driving the ball very well the drive has been what has saved the pirates into winning or into being up in this game right the now decatur county farmers mutual insurance and one thing the pirates might have to watch for is madeleine bowman as she has been proving to be an essential player for the chargers tonight she has really been pushing forward and driving to the basket well getting good looks at on the basket here getting good looks from the three-point
line pulling up hitting some shots um and another person to watch for if you're the pirates is ella coons as she has some good size and appeared to know what she was doing down there down low against the pirates yes it sure does seem like uh guerrelle uh girl has been kind of just dominant for the uh lady chargers wouldn't you say yeah i'd say so she's been pushing into the basket well driving well drawing the fouls well doing whatever really went well for the chargers is when they're able to control the pace of the game and keep pressure on the pirates that's when they're able to close the lead but then when they let that up when they let up and stop doing those things the pirates turn around and take even in bigger
league yeah i agree i agree and the pirates here you know west needs to continue to be big down down low continue to get those rebounds atoms down low needs to continue to get those rebounds and cooney and wilkerson and foster need to continue to drive the ball well and hit those outside shots right now it appears the only outside shot we have hit is foster she hit a three-pointer i don't know what simpson's game plan is but for me i would look for the pirates to take a couple more of those open shots and hopefully make them i would too uh comer for the pirates can't forget about her she has i believe four points uh she had a layup and a jump shot for the pirates um very very young she's only a
freshman and hadn't hit her full potential yet wouldn't you say oh i would say so she's got three more years to turn into a great player she's already playing well-deserved minutes for the varsity team so it's only up from here i agree i agree and one of those other one of those other freshmen carly adams uh such a such a great player i believe she really uses her size to her advantage and when she's guarding somebody she makes sure she stays tight on them make sure they don't get by her and if they do get buyer the pirates have great help defense tonight that's another key topic for the pirates it does seem like other than just a few uh a few little breakdowns it does seem like the pirates of defense has been pretty
pretty dominant throughout the night yes it has been appeared to be motioning that she had ice in her veins let's see what she has in store here for the second half absolutely um still warming up here uh for start of the second half we've got around two minutes left with a score of 29 to 24 pirates lead the pirates you would hope are going to come out very strongly in the second half and really just push up this score against the chargers but the chargers here looking to come out strongly and start the second half as they finish the first half just finding the open lane going in hitting the open shots and that's basically all they can do to be the pirates they have to beat the size that the pirates have that's an
essential thing that they need to work on tonight is really beating the size all right here come the lady pirates back out they took a little bit of an extended break in the locker room uh you know that doesn't mean anything bad though they just hope to come out and cushion the lead take the win and i'm sure simpson set out everything that he needed them to do and as he usually does i'm sure he went into great detail about all the improvements they need to make for the second half here and we can only hope it goes up from here for the pirates we got a 29-24 to start this uh second half we got about a minute left here in this halftime there is a warning as we speak yeah we'll have to
see uh what adjustments we had uh coming out into the second half and same thing with the lady chargers we'll see if any more the greensburg pirates get the senior minutes tonight uh got a few of them in there at the beginning of the game but then they were quickly subbed out it's just part of the rotation and hopefully they can get some more minutes yeah i agree um the seniors they really they came out strong and the pirates appear to be coming out with a different line up here as they did when they started one thing i do want to talk about is the lady pirates next year because with all these seniors going out it will be a big question of who fills those roles next year uh yeah i believe cummer can
step up and fill that role um we've got we've got adams and we've got foster um and i'm sure there's other players that will improve immensely before next season absolutely it does seem like we are the lady pirates are still like quite a young team so we'll have to see how how we're doing in the future yes but we will lose one key part our size we will lose anna west but we will still have carly adams who is who can develop into such a great player she has so much potential left uh here we go second half underway cooney passes it to foster foster on the right side of the wing it appears the pirates have switched up their game plan here and are going for the driving pitch wilkinson pitches it out gets
fouled there welcome really a little bit of traffic there yeah got a quick reach in foul on her uh anna west is going to take out the ball and pass it in starters for the pirates let's have are anna west taylor cooney uh jenna foster molina wilkerson and adams there's west with two points as cooney had a terrific pass down low that's the start that you would hope the pirates would have and they proved to do it and anna with her size if she can become a better back to basket player that would be huge because she's just so much bigger and if she can get those shots up and start making them no one will be able to contest and here we go the pirates tip away the ball but the chargers grab it
krieger with the ball up top krieger dribbling down with her right hand gets fouled west with a big foul good look to cut her off there but it didn't work good sportsmanship by both teams there as the chargers helped west up each team pick up a quick foul within the first minute something we didn't see in the first half the first half there were only three fouls i believe and here we go ball is inbounded to stanley stanley with a count on her cooney guarding stanley tightly krieger with the ball now wilkinson up up up top tight there goes west with a steal what a good steal wilkson is just gone she's gone straight into the basket for the two points the speed on wilkerson i don't think anybody from north can really just match
it she's super quick with the ball and efficient with it and cooney tied on stanley once again just really giving her all she has here goes wilkson on krieger foster on bowman there's a little size disadvantage there here we go out bowman throws up the three but it's off the side of the rim that's an easy rebound for west as cooney brings it back up that's something to wilkinson wilson drives in again to west west gets another two points for the pirates what a great great job by west by just getting that board that's what we like to call the barbecue chicken frank west right there and here we go quick time out by barker for the chargers it is uh 35-24 uh with still 6-17 left in the half or i'm sorry in the
quarter pirates took a quick 11 point lead right here they came out firing on all cylinders it does seem like pirates came out quick and fast uh they try to stay efficient quick with the ball and it seems like that's uh might be a game plan that jason simpson brought up in halftime and it seems like it's working for him molina just has wreaked havoc with her defense the steals and the easy buckets on the other end uh she of course is a senior who's committed to ohio state to play softball next year but she's very well-rounded in every sport she plays yeah that's true athleticism right there she's just such an athlete um runs in the blood a little bit her yeah older brother miles of course was a varsity player great basketball player
and she's got a little sister who hopes to play one day i'm sure i'm sure yes chargers inbound the ball on their side of the court look to bring it up taylor cooney and morgan stanley still going at it they've been guarding each other pretty much all game here we go stanley to krieger krieger to gorilla grill dribbling with her right hand skipping and hopping wilkinson gardener tightly grill picks up the ball pirates up tight on defense west up on krieger defense breaks down bowman misses the layup and there's a jump ball down low chargers and pirates fighting over the ball it appears it'll be the chargers ball here that's a few times now i've seen the pirates give up inside position to the chargers and it didn't convert for the chargers but they've got
a lot of easy shots going up because of that sure that's once you want to have back great feed by krieger yes i agree and stanley's up top with the ball screened by bowman cooney runs straight through the screen almost knocking over bowman here we go wilkinson up top with krieger gets screened by guys guys krieger krieger to stanley stanley goes down gets it better than that to take it in again here we go there's there's a charge called cooney lowered her shoulder just a little bit too much for the officials to not call the charge not always just lowering the shoulder there it's about the defender having positions yes and the defender did have positioning there it was a great job by bowman giving up her body to take the charge a little bit
of a confusion going on here i get it figured out real quick simpson not so happy with the call it appears [Music] parker calling the play from the bench for the chargers oh simpson disagreeing with the referee a little bit on whether the defender can be moving or not in the in college and in the nba once you are moving you are no longer in position to take and there's another foul called another foul called by the officials and just i don't know just didn't appear to be a good good foul to call there uh just really west was just guarding her going about her normal thing there and here we go foster on bowman gets screened by stanley wilkinson quick guarding krieger here krieger dishes it down low to bowman bowman goes up misses
the two points the chargers have got that high pick and roll going on and they've gotta look for the roller a little bit more because they've had a few open shots so they've passed up here goes foster for three air ball that happens every now and then it does even to the best players look to get it up there next time and you can't let that shot your confidence either that's the worst thing to do yeah exactly you can't let a shot ruin your confidence a comer looking to come back into the lady pirates guerrelle just throws off the ball and gets the foul called i'm not sure yeah i don't know if i can i don't know about that that's wes was straight up west appeared to be straight up to me and it
was just a bat sitting down appears to be very frustrated i would be too substitute coming in for the lady chargers here goes gorilla makes her first free throw comer walton in for the chargers [Music] this is jenna walton's first minute of the game here for the lady chargers she had minutes in the jv game i saw earlier maybe they're resting her for the second half and guerrelle sinks both free throws that puts the chargers down by nine pirates up 35 to 26 with four minutes and 30 seconds left in this quarter cummer comes back in for the pirates they hope to correct her turnover adam's with it three people on her and decides to pull up looks like the chargers are out here just clamping down on this defense yes i agree and they're
really pressuring our guards down or forwards down low and there's oh bowman just off the front of the rim guys goes back up no foul called it appears there was but now the ball is knocked out by the chargers and the pirates are back with possession pirates opened the half with a quick 11 point run and now it's slowed down a little bit they only have one point since then and the charge is only one bucket in total since then here goes cooney passes it to cummer comer dribbles right skip pass to cooney cooney looks passes it back to cummer comer to foster at the top of the key foster down to wilkson wilkson drives in gets the two points for the pirates what a good move by wilkerson 37-26 uh with 338 still left
in the half or or the quarter i'm sorry oh and their fall oh they call a blocking fell there but i thought stanley just slipped a little yeah she just slipped a little bit this official doesn't appear to be very pleased with our bench uh simpson may have given him too much year here there ref appeared to not like it well in that situation the defender has the right to their cylinder and it looks like stanley was looking to run into taylor's cylinder there yeah just went the wrong way yep here we go cooney appears to be a little further back now she does not want to draw that foul once again stanley drives right by the baseline to bowman on the baseline and there's a three for bowman it seems like bowman could just
be anywhere on the court she seems like she's hitting him from the three range and she can be down i agree she's just hitting it from anywhere and that's what a good player does so the pirates really need to watch out for see they're leaving cummer wide open on that wing they're not treating her like a true shooter yes and wide open right now foster to adams adams to cooney cooney for three cooney drains the three-pointer for the pirates and here we go 40-29 pirates bowman passes it into coons coons goes up for the two points gets the two points nice drop set post hook there here goes cooney back up the court dribbling fast passes it to foster foster passes back to cooney cooney to comer comer back to cooney cooney looking for the
drive not there foster with the ball passes into wilson wilkson playing as a low player today misses the layup as she drives in a little bit of contact there there might have been a foul but looks like the chargers are playing a 2-3 defense but uh stanley is staying on uh cooney tight the whole time yeah she is she's really gardner and here's a little bit of a mismatch here foster against bowman bowman just rears back and shoots the shot gets it in that's her sweet post fade right there yeah here we go cooney dribbling up with her left hand to come her comer dribbles with her right pass it to wilkson wilkson back to cummer cummer does not take the shot passes it up come here to foster foster to cooney a little bit
of surprise molina looking to take over anna's role while she takes a breather she's getting that ball in the high post and passing it around yes she is and here we go foster passes back to cooney foster has a wide open shot takes another three oh just barely misses just off target there adam reaches around gets the foul oh a foul and the pirates have six fouls compared to the chargers one you have to wonder if there's any bias going on here adams knocks away the ball from coons coons pass it to stanley at the top of the key stanley goes for the three-pointer no good adams tips it cooney gets the rebound cooney appears she's gonna ditch it yes she dishes it but she completely misses the pass [Applause] tough scene here for the
pirates as they are now only up by seven points with a minute 17 left in the third quarter we're in store for a very entertaining fourth quarter if it keeps up like this chargers looking to get the offense going a little bit here oh wilson tips away the ball but stanley gets it back bowman with the ball again at the top of the key pass it to walton over on the right wing here goes bowman on cooney stanley at the top of the key looking to run the pick-and-roll drives to the left with the ball at the baseline here dribbling bowman with the open three-pointer don't want to leave her open walton nobody blocks out walton and now the chargers have another three-point attempt but they miss it wilson grabs the rebound kills going down
the court gets up oh off the top of the backboard there she was expecting a little bit of contact you should tell by her body language oh she's looking to get the steal forces a pickup now the chargers are pressured here uh the charges get across half court 20 seconds left in the third quarter the charger is looking to get a shot up here pirates have to play tight defense there's cummer on stanley down tipped by foster what a good tip by foster oh tough shot by luke not a good scene here as corral drives draws the end one i'm pretty sure that is their second and one on the game i believe so as well yes one thing i've seen the chargers do a little bit is when they drive and they're looking for
the pass they're not even acting like they're gonna take a shot so the pirates know it's coming every time and that's what's causing a lot of these turnovers yeah with us seven seconds left in this quarter it looks like the chargers have cut the lead back down to five uh with this and one pending and there's the lead down to four for the chargers and the pirates have seven foul so the chargers are now in the bonus uh wilkerson drives in no foul called wow no foul she wasn't very happy about that one she was expecting a foul call on that one the chargers had an 11-point deficit to make up there and now it's a four-point game 40-36 going into the fourth year pirates got to regain that control of the game absolutely and
the pirates just to not be pushing as hard as they can i think they need to put pressure back on the full court again that that proves to be their fast-paced game and what they need to do pirates play fast pace the chargers slow it down a little bit so i think the game plan going into this quarter the last quarter of the game i think simpson will put pressure on the chargers here to let's see what they can do with the ball one thing that's hurting the pirates here a lot is i am cummer's a great player but when she's open on the three they're not respecting her and they're just bringing another defender down and that just creates more havoc absolutely and it seems like the chargers with that uh two three uh
zone defense it looks like it's working for them they seem like they're gonna keep stanley out on cover the whole um just keep coming from getting an open bucket let's see if the pirates choose to switch the offense a little bit with that zone going on absolutely and if you're comer i i mean i don't know what they've been told in the huddle but if you're coming and you have that open three it can't hurt the pirates to take one every once in a while i can only benefit them because she's proved to be a good shooter at rushville she i believe hit she hit a three she might have hit two threes against rushfield she had a heck of a game against them um and appears i believe she's 100 on her field goals
tonight is she not i'm yeah i believe so and here we go cooney has the ball in the right wing pirates slowing down the pace of the game a little bit cummer is guarded foster with the ball at the top of the key passes to cooney on the right wing cooney over to cummer on the left wing here we go foster up top with the ball at the top of the key cummer for three off the back of the rim and you can't blame her for taking that shot that's something we are just saying not at all and west looking to check back in for the pirates it appears wilkson kind of knocks the ball away from bowman or bowman just lost control a little bit there but the chargers recover it stanley down on
the baseline right side cummer really giving it all she has in there that's going to be an important violation that is good good defense by the pirates there down in the corner and trap commerce did what she was supposed to do when the ball was dead she got right up on her opponent and guarded them very tightly and it appears wilkson will be taking the ball out for the pirates uh running some sort of box formation wide open wide open three for wilkson just missed it and she appears to not be very happy with her shots tonight down for the charges here see if they can get an open shot run some action down the middle of the lane she drives to the right we're one minute into this quarter brings it back up top
for the pick open stanley to bowman bowman drives right bowman to walton walton to stanley stanley goes down wilkerson with the ball gets it there's the foul called on the chargers it's like we got a loose ball foul on uh i believe that was a good call because she went right underneath she did can't one call finally goes to pirate's way tonight here we go cooney to foster foster with the ball in the right wing wilkinson fumbles it away but it should stay pirate's fault no it does not stay pirates ball see it was off of wilkinson there and here we go ball already back in not a lot of scoring going on in the first part of this game sure isn't no uh we're a minute 30 in and nobody has scored yet all
the coons oh oh bowman gets it tipped away by wilkerson and grell just went for the ball i don't let that go out of bounds i don't think she saw i don't think she saw it tipped i mean this is just a testament to both uh both squads defense am i right like i mean we've been uh almost two minutes back in this uh fourth quarter and it just seems like nobody can get it in nobody can it's wilson as she swings the ball to cooney just yeah that was a bad west west needs to come to that ball she needs to come to that ball and squeeze it tight but she does not do that and the ball gets stolen away um here we go stanley up top dribbles down takes the three-pointer no
good and that's a shot you might not want to take here this close of game wilson just goes into bowman and there's the and one for wilkerson big play by her right there broke the ice that they had going on there like we said she's always been great at getting those uh easy fouls and that you know easy fouls turning into easy buckets yeah i believe moon has been to the free throw line the most out of any player on the court tonight and maybe other than guerrelle gorilla's been there quite a few times as well and wilson sinks her hand one shot and timeout by jason simpson full time out uh we've got a minute to spare here so let's talk about the defensive matchups tonight um i mean no one is really outmatched
the only mismatch i've seen a little bit is west and who who is guarding west now well they've had a few different people on here they've been trying to figure out what the best way to go about her is they had coons in the first half yes i mean i believe that was the best matchup just because of the size i agree too yeah they also have they've had bowman on her a little bit uh but they just can't stop the rebounding no not at all and it just seems like uh with both sides both sides of the ball they've just been they've just had great defense uh both teams so we'll have to see how that plays out for the rest of the game but right now it's looking pretty solid you know especially
in this last quarter here uh we've we've only had three points scored by the pirates and that's it uh no points scored by the chargers this quarter and you can hope the pirates are trying to keep it that way and those three points man they were just they were just off of tough uh tough shots so very close game for the chargers and pirates here as the chargers are down by a deficit of seven points the 546 left in the half left in the game and here we go the chargers will inbound the ball stanley gets the ball dribbling up court it appears cooney will put pressure right at half court cooney really focusing on her hips here to make sure she's not moving cooney tips the ball away what a good tip bye cooney
really stopping the flow of the motion here great active hands by her oh yeah terrific and cooney she's just she's sly on defense she wouldn't think she'd be able to stick her hands out as she does and really get that movement that she does but she is just very athletic the two guards for greensburg really they've been at it all night and cooney i believe she's going to grace college on a basketball scholarship so that's that's good news for her yeah you can see her when she's defending she's looking right at that ball waiting for the opportunity to grab it yeah there's a trucker's missile layup and pirates get the rebound krieger just nearly missed that layup off the side of the rim adams with the rebound gives it up foster going up the court
here dishes it to cooney cooney with the ball on the right side of the wing and there's offensive on west looks like we got a push i don't know how much i'm not sure either but i mean she's just that much bigger that she's gonna be able to push him around easily no matter what and west once again in foul trouble so we're trying to save her for the end of this game in case it's a close one she looks she looked to be demanding the ball out there but i don't know if that's much of her role on this team i'm not sure uh here goes stanley to bowman on the right side of the wing bowman goes for the open three drains it bowman with that shot that is a crucial shot for
the uh chargers in such a cool game and the charger is only down four now i'm sure the coach is happy with the way they're playing right now i'm sure he is too uh it just seems like bowman all game has been just dominant for the north decatur charter she's on her back tonight really she really has and the thing is for the pirates they've they only need to hold out for a little over four minutes that can be a difficult thing to do but the pirates as long as they can just put up a few more points here and there and play their good defense that they've played they will come out on top of this game but if they do not do so and they fall apart a little bit and have some
defensive breakdowns i'm kind of worried of the outcome of this game really uh we're just under five minutes here and this is gonna be a very interesting five minutes very interesting uh our largest lead on the night i'm pretty sure was just about 11 points and it just seems like uh no matter what grindr does north decatur just seem to be shrinking that lead they just keep trickling back in there don't they absolutely and with how close of the game it's been it's surprising to say that there's only been one tie and that was at four to four and the chargers haven't had a lead tonight absolutely not but it it doesn't seem like we should count them out anytime soon no no way way too close of a match up to be called out
and foster with the ball now on the left side of the wing skip pass over to cooney a little bit of an eager pass there but gets it off cummer with the ball at the top of the key dribbles in a little bit but passes it back to foster on the left side of the wing foster looking for the pass passes it back to cummer come here back to cooney on the right side of the wing cooney back to comer or comer to foster foster plants passes it back to cummer back to foster once again and good good ball movement by the chargers and there's a foul by stanley as she goes for the ball but contacts the body of wilkerson a little bit of a change for the pirates is moving uh cummer from
the wing up to the top of the key to try to combat them leaving her wide open yeah yes it is absolutely like you said it's going to be great ball movement i don't think they're going to go for a shot unless it's easy i agree and the pirates that's the only thing they can do right now and there's an open three for cooney and she just off the front of the rim she just has not been connecting tonight with her shots chargers come up with the rebound and stanley slows it down once again as she's done a lot tonight and here we go cooney on stanley very tightly once again just not letting her get any inch of space foster on walton here oh there's a nice skill by the way with the steal
she has an easy layup going for and she gets it there's two points for the pirates that's that speed we've been talking about over and over tonight we're being a dead horse at this point north decatur has to and there's another steal by wilkinson left-handed gets another basket big points for the pirates 47-39 quick lead taken by the pirates those are two great big buckets by melina wilson she's done it over and over and over again tonight and north decatur doesn't have an answer for it she's proven to be a horse tonight in this matchup almost another turnover right there jumps the gun again almost another turnover there we go stanley to bowman and bowman at the top of the key no shot down to coons coons oh takes out fakes out uh adam's there
we got a six point game with three minutes left they seem to get be getting away from coons a little bit later in this late game you would think that uh they would feed the ball for her two or more you would think so and cummer's back on that wing spot where they leave her will come or take the shot no just a head fake and pass it back to foss you're not really doing much with the ball at all she's gonna have to drive or something to pick up a defender and it appears the pirates are just slowing down this game to the point where they can have it under control under their control and the point where they can keep their six point lead here north decatur they're not even slowly backing up
waiting for the pirates to make a mistake waiting to jump the gun here comes walton up on cooney cooney passes the ball as the count starts on her walton back on cooney here goes comer with a wide open shot does not take it wilkinson drives down travels there's a travel by the pirates that's a costly mistake right now they weren't even able to get a shot and that's just one of those eager things that you sometimes do towards the end of the game no biggie there as the pirates defense have proven to be a horse tonight and i'm sure they can stop the chargers here on this drive cooney just over the half court line guarding stanley the ball gets back now we have foster on stanley as cuny is screened oh a little bit
of shove off there and then there we go wilson on bowman and it's still my tail bowing careless with the pass cooney goes in gets the no foul and there's the foul i was waiting for that call i thought the rights missed a very obvious call now on here in the corner [Music] and cooney one one to make her free throws she really puts in the time and knows the perfect angle just to shoot it there's there's just my point proven just a beautiful free throw straight in no rim even touched she's almost automatic at the line and here we go cooney with her second shot that one appears yes that one is in once again and repeatable motion makes it easier to make those yes it does and here's simpson calling a 30 second
timeout and while we have this time out we want to remind everyone watching that we will be streaming the girls basketball game that is home against batesville on friday night the game start time is around 7 30 i believe and the pirates are going to take on batesville and hopefully come out on top that's a big rivalry game too yeah big rivalry than this one exactly batesville has always been our biggest rivalry and you know we're going to try to take him down friday night and i believe the pirates have the will and have the want and have what they need to do that you come out of the timeout break here we go just about 146 left and west still on the bench in foul trouble and here's some pressure on the chargers oh
cuts her off cooney cuts her off but there's the foul called cooney's been at the hip of uh stanley all game and cooney really just going all out i'm not that cool trying her best not to foul but here we go the chargers are in the bonus and they're going to shoot one on one if stanley makes the first basket she will get another one make some substitutions here for north decatur [Applause] number 32 morgan stanley is one-on-one so if she misses the first it's whoever gets to rebound and she makes it she gets another shot and that is off the backboard adams with the rebound falls down but passes to cooney before she falls down cooney dribbling up shaking stanley off oh she crosses stanley over and knocks her down oh wilson at the
top of the key cooney with the ball passes it to comer comer with the wide open shot but does not take it cooney the pirates just appear to be moving the ball as they can so they can oh there goes wilson with oh just barely misses it and there's a ball it stays with the pirates and the chargers not happy with the call getting moment to fall over right there in this moment of the game it was and if you're the chargers you're kind of wishing that was an over the back there on adams yeah here goes the deep pass to cooney the only inbounds we had and it appears the pirates are just going to hold the ball until they are fouled quick over she dropped there we go adams with the little buck
oh a little bit just a little five foot shot there but misses it molina made a great move there to get by and the chargers appear to be moving the ball quickly now moving up court quickly they're saying she was juggling the ball there wilson goes through the swat that's not something you want to do here there goes foster with the ball messes whoa and there's there's a double dribble as she tried to pass it and passed it to herself the ball got hit as is coming out of her hands i don't like that call not an eight-point game uh chargers hoping for a miracle here with 45 seconds left in the game they have to hit some quick threes and stop the pirate defense cooney guarding stanley very tightly bald guys on the right
wing or right baseline there goes krieger yes krieger makes the two-point basket see if they foul or they wait till they get across half court i don't think stanley's going to be able to stop cuny from bringing it across and there's a foul on stanley and here we go there's a foul by stanley and stanley fowls out of the game with 22 seconds left that shows her true team heart and trying to help her team the best she can when they are down six here no they're down they're down six my bad it is forty nine to forty three with it across half court and there's another foul one foul by walton on cooney are the pirates in the bonus yet yes they are in the bonus and you know stanley didn't want to take
that this out but there was nothing she could do you know it's got to be on her teammates to know that she can't take another foul and they got to come up and take that foul forward absolutely that's something that has to be communicated between the team here we go cooney first free throw is good she will get another one extend his lead to seven points here goes hoover into the game for the chargers here with only 20 seconds or in the game cooney another free throw up and in and she's just mad she's just dominant at the free throw line tonight here goes krieger bringing the ball down court quickly pirates careful not to foul pirates guarding them tightly bowman up top with the ball dribbling down passes it to guys guys back up
to krieger creek you're not sure what to do with it dribbles it down tries to get the foul wilson bites the ball away krieger goes up again and there's the game that's the end that is the game pirates win 51-43 and what a great team win what a great team win played their part very well and which was a fantastic game that uh brings uh our pirates record to 4-0 and the chargers two one and five and we just want to remind everyone once again we will be streaming the game on friday on periscope and youtube for you to watch like to give a quick shout out to our cameraman lane sparks sam west uh mack swearing and christian hensley our camera switcher tonight and mr moore for putting this all together and this has
