Okay, everyone. >> Okay, we should be good. >> All right, like to call the meeting to order and start with the pledge of allegiance. I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God indivisible with [clears throat] liberty and justice for all. >> Like to recite our statement. Knox Community School Corporation rooted in purpose and community. >> Welcome everyone. I forgot to say that at the beginning. All right. Uh four, adoption agenda. The chair will entertain a motion to adopt the agenda for the November 17th, 2025 regular meeting as presented. >> Second Kurt. Thank you. All in favor? >> I posted approval of the minutes from the November 3rd, 2025 regular board meeting. >> Motion. >> Second. >> And both. All
in favor? >> I post. Uh public comments. The board president will obtain comments from patrons on any agenda item during the meeting. No action will be taken on any item presented. Patrons will have three minutes. Uh Judy, >> thank you. >> You're welcome. >> Certainly. Thank you. >> Good evening. Thank you for your time. As KFT president, there have been two important changes to our contract. One was giving up free insurance to new married teachers in the district and the other is the district's new higher salary schedule. Thankfully, we were able to grandfather in our fair five married couples and all teacher salaries were finally realigned based upon years of experience. Last year, our teachers felt appreciated. But this year is different. The union will reluctantly bring this tenative agreement to our members. We are
only doing so to at least protect some of the some part of the promise that was made to our married couples. Admin asked us all to consider the shest insurance plan to save the district money. The union gladly shared all the information we can gather with the district so everyone can make the best choice for them. The district saw 30 single plants and 42 family plans make the switch. This is a savings of about $200,000 for the year. I feel it's important to note that three of our five married couples switched to shurist without even being asked. Now this year, no matter what KFT asked for in negotiations, we were told the board wanted the teachers to give. Even the switch to shurist wasn't enough. The union was presented with two options. We could vote
to increase all family insurance costs to teachers or we had to give up our married couples free insurance. You know, the five couples that the district so kindly grandfathered in two years ago. Five married couples. the Fipps, Marshes, Barnes, Ratlas, and Macans. A total of about $34,000 in savings to the district. Now, let's talk about what these five couples bring to our district. They bring a total of 10 children that will or have already gone through 12 years of school at Knox. That's a lot of money if we look at ADM over 12 years for these 10 children. And yet, we are still asking these couples to give even though they already give enough both in and out of the school day. I've given you a list of just what these five couples do for
our district. It is definitely a testament to their love and dedication to our schools. Yet, the district is still going to break the promise that was made to these dedicated couples. It doesn't make sense. Lastly, the board is assuming the couples continue in our district as is. If even one couple decides one spouse leaves for a higher paying school but keeps the insurance here, Knox now has to hire a teacher to replace that spouse. Say this new teacher has to take insurance for a family. That's now two family plans the board would have to pay. A free married couple shest plan costs the board about $32,000. Two family shurist plans at 80% the board paying will cost $56,000. This decision to take away free married insurance sounds more personal than a wise business decision. Our
teachers give enough. Please make this make sense. Thank you. >> Thank you. Sorry. Item seven, personnel report. A, resignations, B, transfers. Uh, superintendent recommends the board approves item A and B. Motion. >> Second. >> Thank you. All in favor? >> Let me go ahead. Sorry. >> Before you go, um, I'd just like to update you on Rally Cookie. Um, she comes to us, uh, came to us as a sub. comes to us from South Central. Um Ben Anderson, our superintendent, highly recommended her. Uh she is going to come in and take over that sixth grade science position that we had um posted. So we're excited for her. Uh we have a very good plan of support to wrap around her uh in that position moving forward. So we we feel very comfortable with. So just
want to give you an update and you know, thank you to the uh three people who um are leaving Knox. We wish them the best of luck. That's not like a sub, right? Like I don't >> She came to us as a sub. We're moving her into a permanent sub as a sixth grade sixth grade science teacher. >> Say then just sixth grade science teacher because it says just sixth grade science. >> She technically is going to be in the classroom as a sub. She's not a permanent teacher. Correction. Okay. >> She's taking that filling that role. Yes. All right. Any more questions? All in favor? I >> post. Hey, business. Uh, collect the bar A is collective bargaining unit tenative agreement public meeting. The board will conduct a public meeting for the purpose of
discussion on the 202526 tenative agreement between the Knox Federation of Teachers and the Knox Community School Corporation Board of Trustees. Mr. Miklich will review the tenative agreement. This item will be voted on on the December 1st, 2025 regular board meeting. E. Classified staff pay increase. The superintendent recommends the board approve the dollar an hour increase for all classified employees beginning July 1st, 2025. bus drivers uh base pay will increase and they will continue to receive mileage for their routes. The increase are listed on the appendix A on page 11. Have a motion. >> Motion Wendy Aaron. Thank you. >> Okay. So, here's what we have. Um working with the KFT. Um thank you guys very much for a good negotiation period. We do have we bring you a two-year contract. So, that would be for
this school year and for next school year. Uh, we have five bullet points here that I'm going to discuss. The first one being that um each teacher is going to receive $2,300 to their base. Uh, what this does is our beginning teachers now will be earning $45,000. If you remember from the legislation, that is what they wanted us to get to. Um, so I'm happy to report that with that increase of $2,300, our beginning teachers will be at $45,000. Um if you remember last year we took care of the entire base for the teachers um from the beginning from the first year teacher to the top end. Um that $2,300 is going to go through the whole pay scale. So everyone will get bumped up $2,300 which will now make our top pay at $73,300.
All right. So that's bullet point number one. Second one uh this deals with the literacy endorsement. Uh if you remember this is move two years now in the in the talking of this. The the DOE put out the requirement that they want all elementary teachers to have this. Um the legislation came out and said that if you give a raise to all of your teachers, 10% of that must go to the lit endorsement. All right? So 10% of that is $260. Um that will also go to the base pay of a teacher if they have that lit endorsement on their license. Uh that is the key. Uh we have some people that are still in the transition phase of doing that, but once they get on their license, then they will receive that $260 base
pay. Um bullet point number three here. So if you are a teacher in our corporation and you have a family plan, you currently pay 20%. Right? The corporation picks up 80%. Um, as Miss Ringo was just mentioning, the married couples um, family plan, they pay $1. All right. So, what this is saying here for this two-year agreement, not this year, but next year, so the 26 27 school year, that those married couples will pay 10% and the corporation will pay 90%. All right. Um and again that and that's also with them moving to the shest family plan which I mentioned three of the five already are. So that that is good news and again that will happen next school year not this school year because our insurance is already past point of doing that. >>
I have a question. >> Yeah. Um so how did you come up with that 1090? >> Uh that is what what we agreed upon. That was a negotiated between the KFT and us >> and that's ongoing or what's >> that? That that will be ongoing starting next year >> that they'll pay 10% of the school board. >> Yeah. >> And then we will continue negotiations as we move forward from there. So we can only bargain on a two-year. >> So over the two years for the one for the one year. >> Well, really it's one year but we have two plan. >> One year they're only paying 10%. >> Correct. Correct. Thank you. >> And how does that differ from what they're currently paying? >> They're currently paying $1. >> Okay. 10% comes out to
be how many dollars? >> Uh what do we figure out to be? >> Or something like that. >> Something like that. >> 36. Thank you. >> But it'll be for two years. >> Well, you're not you're not doing anything this year. Year one, we're not doing anything. >> So it'll be next year is when it will start. Yeah. >> So, it's going to be roughly $36 a pay period. Is that what they >> Yes. Right. So, okay. So, $35 pay period for >> $3,600. How many? >> No. No. That's way more than that. That's a single plan. >> You remember what it is? >> It's by 26 pays. >> Yeah. So, 36 26 pays is a little over 100 bucks. Okay. Um, bullet point number four. Uh, we do have some teachers that are with
us that are retired. Um, and they are receiving turf. Uh, we want to just tell them a little bit thank you. So, for the two-year deal, they will receive a one-time $1,000 statement to help them out. And bullet point number five um is the last one and this has to deal with um if there is a teacher who is injured with unwanted assault. Right? So a student attacks a teacher. Uh what this is saying is basically that the teacher will not lose um any pay or any sick days because of that. Um and that is also pending upon superintendent approval of that. Um, so just a way to protect our teachers if there was a physical attack on them. That's that's the key word that un unwanted assault. Um, so that is our tenative agreement
with the KFT. Do we have any questions before I move? >> Is the insurance thing over then? I mean, is are we moving married couples won't get any benefit from insurance going forward this year? What's what what's your thought going forward >> after the two-year deal? >> One-year deal. Essentially, >> one-year deal after the 26 27th school year. That's where we will have to get back into negotiations of what that looks like. >> I think this is a rather impressive list of things that those couples have contributed. I don't know how that compares to what people that don't have the dollar insurance contribute, but um if you know >> is there because I guess my thought might be that they would you know they're they're giving their services and if they're not getting proportionate benefit
maybe they won't be so ready to volunteer services. I I understand that the the uh nature of the beast with insurance right now is when we compare our corporation to other corporations. I share this with the KFD2. We're as a corporation paying about $10,000 more per family plan than most schools. And you times that by how many? 63 family plans that we have. That's that's a lot of money. Um so as we look forward um with you know Senate Bill one coming in and the cutting of funds, how does that insurance work? You know we got to a point that that is a huge benefit you know to our to our staff to our teachers. Um and we you know they are amazing people who we want to continue to support them right but what
does that look like financially for both sides? I think that's the the question that we're asking, you know, and and I'm happy to bring this in front of you here today and look forward to, you know, making positive moves in the future to help support both sides. >> And, you know, I'll just say that uh you know, uh that uh you know, us offering that insurance, you know, a better insurance than other corporations has, you know, that's a drawing point for us, you know, to to help get teachers It is as long as everyone understands. A lot of people just look at the dollar amounts I'm making. I'm my beginning salary or I'm bringing in at this, right? But sometimes they forget that there is a $10,000 above other schools. I mean, we could flip
that. Our beginning pay could be $55,000. Everybody can go, right? But we can get $10,000 on the back end on insurance. Yeah. >> Right. So, it it it goes both ways with it. Anything else with the tenative agreement? Switching I got switch over to the classified staff now. So we're doing two things. Um we have um our our paras um our cafeteria workers that group first and then we're going to talk about bus drivers. Okay. So for our classified staff uh we gave them a 50 cents raise last year. We want to give them a dollar this year. Okay. So, I'm excited to bring that to you today. That would be bring up our base pay for um APA or anyone else in the classified staff would be 1429. Now, um so we want to
continue to make sure that that grows. Um as far as our bus drivers, um our bus drivers were a lot like our teachers were last year where they were all over the pay scale. Um, and we wanted to make the pay more fair, more consistent, more equitable. So, what we did for the bus drivers, um, is that we have now a base pay. So, if you are a yellow bus driver, you are going to make $90 a day and then you're going to get 44 cents per mile after that. So, it's being fair and consistent with our drivers that may have shorter routes, then it takes more time to do a longer route, right? So, that being fair and consistent with it. Um, if you are a white bus driver, um, your base pay is
going to be 55 a day with 44 cents per mile added on to that. Um, so really the average that we had was what about $8 per bus driver, give or take, $8 to $10 per bus driver. They they actually got an increase in with that >> Per day. Um, so I'm happy to report that to you. I think that's a great move. The other thing we did to help our bus drivers um is any extracurricular trip was 14 and $14. A little change. >> 16 on the weekend. >> Um now what we did is on a weekday it's $16. On a weekend it's $18 because what we found is that it's tough to get drivers to drive on a Saturday or Sunday, you know, for 14 bucks, right? So we want to help support
them. So again, $16 on weekday, $18 on weekends, and that's for any extracurricular trips that our bus drivers maintain. Questions about our classified staff. Anything else? TA, we good? Okay. Okay. All in favor? Close >> treasur's report. The treasur has provided a report on page 12. Anything to add, Casey? No, >> it's just standard claims uh payments for the new upcoming middle school project in the current project. >> Thank you. Vendor uh vendor usage. The treasurer has provided a vendor usage report on page 29 there. All right. E claims the superintendent recommends the board approve the claims as listed on page 33. Motion >> second. >> All in favor? >> I post construction update. Superintendent will update the board on the high school construction project. All right. So, we're talking a little bit about both
uh construction jobs here today. Um Derek and I walked through today with the punch list at the high school. So, we are wrapping that baby up. I tell you, it looks really nice. Um, as we walk through, there's some doors that are still sticking a little bit. Some of our new doors, there's some spots that need some cough. Um, but overall, uh, that building is looking very good. Um, with that construction project, we saved over $150,000. So, we're we're very happy with that. Um, I'm going to talk about here in the next item, um, what we're going to do with a little bit of that. Uh, we also want to be able to furnish that professional development room, uh, that we have. So, that is I'll be bringing that to you guys. Also, um the
middle school project, uh we have ordered those vertical units. Um so, we have come come to a price on those. Um we're excited to get those ordered and we're going out to bid the first week of December. Uh so, that is our our plan uh with that project. There's your construction update. Okay. Thank you. Any questions? >> G purchase of maintenance truck. The superintendent recommends the board approve the purchase of a new truck for the maintenance department. >> Motion. >> Wendy. >> Second. >> Thank you. >> So, part of that uh bond money that we saved with the construction um and the a lot of things that we can buy. Um we want to purchase a Ford F250, a 4x4 with a plow. Um our green truck is completely shot. There's a 16inch hole in
the floorboard where when you walk in um that frame is just kind of sitting on the on the wheels. Um it is definitely seen its time. We do need four trucks to plow snow as we found out here what last Monday. Um so that's that's important um to us that we do get that truck so that we were equipped for the winter time. >> So what are we doing with that truck? Um, we're going to keep it. Um, we're going to keep the salt spreader attached to it so we don't have to put a salt spreader on the new one because so we don't ride it out. Um, and we'll just use it as as we can. >> That's our that's our plan. >> Well, it's really not shut. It's still usable. [clears throat] >>
It the wheels will still turn. Um, but it is it's not completely safe to drive. We talked about eventually maybe auctioning it off to >> that was my question is like when we start get it just seems like things just go away. >> That's where do they go? >> I think we need to create something where >> instead of things just disappearing where what where does that where's that value how does that come back in school? >> I had a um I my I was at my superintendent conference last week and there is a public surplus. Is that what it was? Public surplus. Um, and it is a public agency online auction. Um, and a superintendent presented about how they put all of their items on there. Um, and that how they he's made over
$100,000 for his corporation just by that auction site. Um, so that's something that that Casey and I discuss about, you know, starting to use that more in the future. Um, you know, we I brought some things back and forth to you guys before about what are we going to do with this stuff, right? We want, you know, so we're going to look into that. Yeah, I think that's very important because there's a lot of lot of valuable stuff that just goes away that uh >> I don't know how we inventory or how we just seems like >> schools taxpayers are not getting that. >> Should we be using it at all if it's a safety issue? >> Um I can have that conversation with [clears throat] their um I it's still still rolls. Somebody got
hurt and we've acknowledged it's >> Yeah. >> I I think it was a thought that we didn't want to put the salt spreader on the new one, right? >> And they had the new one start rotting out. >> Sure. >> That was that was the thought process. >> All right. All in favor? >> All right. Uh H donations. Uh I'm going to ask for unanimous approval to add two extra donations under letter H on the agenda. uh one for a $10,000 anonymous donation to the Knox football team used a charter bus to take the te team to Fort Wayne for practice semi semi semi-state game and in the event not in the event that Max wins semi-state a trip to the state finals in Indianapolis. Um also two a $250 don uh purchase donation for
the purchase of gas for the fan bus uh by Stark County Co-op to wave the transportation fee for students. Is there any objections? Is that going to cover transportation? I mean, if they donate the $10,000, they're going down for semi-state and then they're potentially going for state. I mean, if if that doesn't cover it, what makes up the rest? >> We pay for it. >> We'll pay the charter bus. Um, but we would have to get them down there some other way. >> Someone's compensating, right? Are you offering to pick up the end? [laughter] >> I can add that in there. >> I'm not. Yeah, I'm not. >> You just drive. [laughter] >> I'm not saying no. But >> if there any objections to the addition Okay. Thank you. All right. Uh, the superintendent recommends
the board approve the following donations, including them too. Uh, >> do I have a motion? >> Motion. >> Aaron and Dr. Brown. Thank you. Um just you know some more FFA donations in there. You know that program is um I've heard a lot of good um things about um our FFA teacher Abby. She's doing a great job. Um so I'm excited that you you've seen now I think three board meetings in a row donations for FFA. Um those kids are important. They're doing a good job raising money for their program. So kudos to them. >> Well, bikes for kids. Thank you again to Knox VFW. Second consecutive year they have stepped out and asked. I wasn't going to ask them this year, but they came to me and asked. So, I'm very pleased. And that
now covers the bike. So, very great. >> Excellent. >> And then also the the applied skills class, their ugly sweater party. If you if you really want to smile, I invite you to that. It is what? December 5th, I believe. It's a Friday. Um, thank you to our two donations for that because that is really an awesome time. We invite I think it's up to like eight or nine different schools now, the special education students from those schools over to the multi-purpose room. It's really an awesome event. If you're around on the 5th, let me know. I'll take you over there. It really is good time. So, thank you for your donations. >> So, the donation goes to the applied skills or the party. I mean, >> The party. It pays for like the food.
>> Pays for the party. Okay. >> Pays for the party. just and it's an adventure. [clears throat] I mean, it's it's they do a really nice job. Mrs. H does that. She's the one that's in charge of it. >> Hey, any questions? >> All right. All in favor? Post? >> I fundraisers. The superintendent recommends the board approve the fundraisers request listed on page 61. Do I have a motion? >> Motion. >> Second. You got two fundraisers in there, both from the middle school's robotics. This is our second year, correct, of this. Um, they they're doing a candygram sale and 1056 give back night for teacher t-shirts and supplies for them. Um, so I think year one for them, they were kind of getting their feet wet. How does this work? But they had some good
success. Um, and this year I'm really excited to to see what they can do. [clears throat] >> Right. All in favor? I post >> J. The Nola Neola discussion. The superintendent will discuss with the board the Nola policies of updates as listed on page 63. These policies will be voted on on the December 1st, 2025 board meeting. So, not a ton of Neola policy in there. I want to highlight a couple for you. There is some information about partisan elections uh for you guys. You know, that is new legislation that came out um in the in the session. um staff evaluations. The state has said that they're not concerned, for lack of a better word, about staff evaluations. Um and that we have the autonomy now to be able to sculpt, if I that's the
word I want to use, the evaluation plan the way we want it. That's something we'll do with the union. Um I've already had I said in a couple sessions at my tennis conference what other schools have done. So I'm excited here over the winter time and springtime to have that conversation uh with KFT. Uh there's a tag grant. Um all that information will be coming out here uh this week and next week um to our to our teachers. But if you remember in the past the tag grant every teacher got that. That was something that each one got this year in legislation. Um only 20% of our staff can be eligible for the tag round and it's much bigger dollar amounts. There's a 355 and 75 $100. Um, so that verbiage is in Neiola. Um,
talks about some student attendance and some of our digital content that we have like our websites and things like that. So that's what those Neola topics are. >> Excellent. >> Thank you. Item K, uh, Indiana Learn [clears throat] Superintendent will discuss with the board anou with Indiana learns. >> So this is we've done this now for three years. Did you do it before me? >> Okay. So, it was before me, too. Um, but I've been a part of it for three years. And basically, the state comes out and, um, their goal is to focus on the students that did not pass iLearn. And they want to make it equitable because their thought process is regardless of your parents and their ability to pay, they wanted to give these kids highly qualified tutoring. Well, who's better
than our staff to tutor our own kids, right? So, um, the Indiana Learns, um, this is, um, money that they provide to our corporation for our teachers to tutor our kids after school. So, it's it's a good program. We've done it for for quite a while now. I just wanted to update you guys on that. Thank you. Item L, Majestic Careou. The superintendent recommends the board approve theou with Majestic Care. This is an outside company that works with autistic students. motion here. Thank you both. >> So, I I met with Heather um and this is a great opportunity for us. This is no cost to our district. This comes from the students um uh Medicaid, their medical service provider. um applied behavior analysis, ABA, and basically um our students that need some extra support um
in the classroom. Um the insurance will provide that person with the students so that we don't have to. Their whole goal is that they create a link between school and home. So that person goes back and forth between both of them. A lot of these are kids that are transitioning from a um you know residential uh facility or something like back back into us. Um so to have that support there as they're transitioning back in um sometimes these are students that haven't been in school at all, you know, and they organize school and to have that support at home and in the classroom. Um, so all all this is is just saying that um they're going to be in our schools with those students to provide support at home and for the school and it's
no cost to the school. >> Any questions? >> All in favor? >> Overnight request. The superintendent recommends the board approve their request for the girls wrestling team to stay overnight on November 28th, 2025. They will be participating in a tournament all day on the 28th and then again on the 29th. >> Motion [clears throat] second. >> Aaron and Wendy. >> Yeah, they they were part of this um tournament last year. Some of something that that they did. Um I believe they have a 800 a.m. match on the 29th. So rather than travel all that stay overnight, um they do have um both the male and female who will be staying with them as far as their supervision goes. So, >> so we pay for that for them to stay overnight. >> All right. All in
favor? >> I post. There's no public comments on items not on the agenda. So, we'll move for comments, questions from admins in the board. Uh, I'll start off with you this time, Autumn. >> Yeah. >> Nothing. Okay. Gary want football team. And uh also uh you know you know in your Sunday updates and building you have like have a list of uh like uh conferences you go to and stuff like that. Uh I like to have some info on those in the future of what what's going on. >> Notes or a little presentation. >> Sure. Absolutely. >> Sharing information. Yeah. That would be helpful. >> I I I shared some of that today with you but I can absolutely share. Yeah. >> The future that'd be great. >> Okay. >> Wendy, >> thank you. >>
Okay. Um, Dr. Brown. >> Yeah. Um, I just want to say that this is an impressive list of things that the people the married couples had and are doing. And I think you know again um probably a good idea to take a look at how we're compensating various people to do various things outside of their usual salaries coaches and people who have special functions in within the school system itself and try to make sure because I think that's you know one thing that looks like it's kind of all over the board and I would assume on the basis of the presentation that you know they're aware of the benefit they were receiving and are trying to give back by being involved in these various activities. ities and and I appreciate that. I think you know
we need to again encourage the people that are doing the right things and while at the same time understanding personally and professionally the huge cost of insurance and what that what that what that burden becomes for school system. So I think that's very difficult um situation. um appreciate the willingness of the administrator and the union to try and reach an agreement that you know was mostly satisfactory and again the football you might think um you know congratulations again >> um yes I think we we all just want to make sure that all all of us want all of our teachers to feel supported um in all the things that that they do and to always know how appreciated um they all are. Um so thank you for for all um all of them do. Um
thank you um also I wanted to say um congratulations to the football team but also I wanted to send um our prayers, our thoughts to Josh um the football player freshman who was injured. Uh I know his mom was um very appreciative for all the support they g. So >> I just want Yeah. congratulations to the football team. Hopefully they keep moving on. >> Peggy. >> So the only thing I want to add is as you know Mr. Mick went down last week to the superintendent conference and I had the pleasure of hearing his presentation before it was given. He asked me to critique it and add some to it, which I gladly did. But um he worked really hard on that and he' been thinking about it and he was very positive about the
school board in his presentation, positive about how everyone in this district actually has worked together with the strategic plan. So um kudos to him for doing a good job. >> Sure. >> Is that recorded on my phone? [laughter] He's going to give us the present. >> It's it's not it's not great, but let me I'll explain it to you this way. So, um I did present down at the superintendent's conference. Um and it was all over our strategic plan, the hard work that we put in. Um and it was kind of a two phases behind the plan. Phase one was from January to August, right? That was all the paperwork that we did, our mission, our vision, our norms, um, all of those things that that we we put together to change our culture, right?
And I stressed how the number one norm that we have that's sitting in front of you is prioritizing student success and how that number one has changed our culture, not only in our board meetings, but I want to say across the district because of the goals that we've created. Um, so to me that was like, okay, you I was a baseball coach, right? um here's our opening day roster of our of our kids, right? We haven't played a game yet, but here's our roster and we're ready to go. Um and then part two of that is the action plan behind it, right? So, um actually on December 1st, um we are going to present to you um updates on our three goals. Um the principles, myself, and Mcker will will present those to you guys
at the December 1st because if you remember, we wanted to, you know, at least two three times a year present where we're at on our goals. Um, I think the interesting thing that I I had multiple people come up to me afterwards and have further conversation. And the one thing, you know, you talk about the notes, right? Here's one thing, a big aha moment that I had. Someone suggested to me, and this is why I love these conferences, cuz we were talking about how, you know, when we did our strategic plan, we didn't really involve the community that much. We did a podcast. We put that out there, but they suggested to me, why don't we do a community night? Why don't we do a night where I can present our strategic plan to the
community and then our principles can present their goals of where they're at? Um, and I think that would be a fantastic idea. Um, I haven't I don't have a date yet. We kind of bounced some things around. Um, but it's something I'd like to do. You know, I think you have those aha moments, you know, when you're at these conferences and things that you can do better. Um, so we will we'll see where we go with that. Um, I want to invite you guys. Uh, we have our district-wide Christmas party on December 6th. That's a Saturday. Actually, they have breakfast with Santa in the morning in the multi-purpose room from I'm going to say 9 to 11:00. Um, our district-wide party is from 1:30 to 2:30. So, you guys are welcome to come to that.
And then we're actually walking in the parade lineup is at 3:30. We're walking in the parade at 4. Um, so that uh that day, I'll put all that in your notes, but that'll be a big day for us. Very excited about having some Christmas cheer, some holiday spirit um around the preparation for that. Uh the the staff, they're getting tickets. Um we different groups are going to make baskets and we're going to raffle off baskets. The staff can earn tickets throughout the next couple weeks here um for multiple things. Perfect attendance, uh dressing up, things like that. you guys get tickets for the 67 day today, stuff like that. So, we're we're having a little fun with it. So, that that that's been great. Um, good luck to the football team. I'm going to two
parts to this. Friday night was absolutely amazing. I want to give kudos to our team. Uh, that place was completely jam-packed. We were double standing on the fence. There was not a place to sit, hardly a place to stand. Uh, very happy with the team and the presentation. And I had multiple people come up to me and just say, "Hey, the the place looks great. You know, the facilities look good. Everything is very professionally done." So, so kudos to the Knox team for doing that. Um, I also want to commend not only our student section, which was absolutely amazing, but the other schools we had we had different kids from different schools there cheering us on. It was really cool to see. And it was a really cool moment for me afterwards. I'm I'm going
on. I'm sorry. But afterwards, I was standing on the track and the game was over and everyone is just on the field. It was just I just stood there and took it in for a moment because it was really a special moment for us. Um, moving forward, um, we're not going to do a pep rally or anything like that um for the regional or or excuse me, for the semi-state. Um, we may do a a walk through of the building or something like that. What we're looking at doing is the possibility of doing some type of community event after everything is done, whether we win, we lose, whatever happens, doing some type of community event in the evening where we can invite everybody to it. It's not during the school day, um things like that.
So, I want to give you guys that information also. Um that's all I have. All right. Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. I I Oh, look at that. I can't even see this. Holy cow. Can I not bring it up? Let's see. Let me go over here. So, there we go. Peggy. >> Oh my goodness. >> So, >> seriously, >> Peggy was honored of going above and beyond for our Knox Community School Corporation, and we just wanted to thank her for everything that that she's done for us. Um, do you want to talk a little bit about it? Autumn Keny [laughter] was at the Henry of Shrier dinner. What? What do you call it? Serviceel. >> Yes. >> So, I just want to tell you thank you for everything that you do for us. >> Congratulations.
>> Round of applause. [laughter] >> All right. Now, that's all we got. >> All right. Thank you. >> Uh Kirk second, Dr. Brown. All right. All in favor Sorry.
