I read oh sorry okay my bad um this year um we were sitting at 65% pass rate with our third grade which is huge it's a big it's not where I want to be but it's we're moving in the right direction um I you know and I my teachers are amazing my staff is amazing they they've really worked hard with the students so I'm pleased to see where we're going and I I'm anxious to see where we're going to be next year um so I'm really looking forward to finishing out this year and getting into next spring already far way far away but we'll get there um did very well you know their numbers off the top of your head I think she had I'm not gonna even quote it but I think she was

like 82% yeah that well above the state average yes I just want to let they get the people at home know that good things are happening here at Lake Station they really are um and I'm excited we gave the test this year to our second graders for the first time um so I know and actually I think in both buildings I don't know the percentage but we had about 15 or 16 second graders that passed the test so they won't have to take it next year which is amazing one check off the back so we're excited I think we're moving in the right direction thank you yeah great job thanks for putting me on the spot yeah thanks for responding so well I'd also like to thank Mr music and his wife Katie for all

to you and the staff for all that to to get that to happen that's all I have all right thank you Miss pipa uh I too want to congratulate our third graders and second graders for their hard work in passing the IR test and express my appreciation to the teachers and staff that worked with those students uh as well as the students hard work to get those uh test scores up to where they were we're very very proud of them uh one of the things that really benefit bened our students were the reading coaches that we were able to have a full-time Reading Coach at Hamilton and full-time Reading Coach over at Bailey which helped provide significant gains for our students and we were able to provide that because we were able to win the

referendum in 2017 as we know that we have lost that referendum in last year's election so we are trying to live within our means as we are responsible and expected to do and we are looking at what we can do to keep our reading coaches U but with the unsuccessful referendum last November it's making it more difficult but we will do the best that we can do with that but thank you to the reading coaches and our teachers and staff for their hard work as well as our parents helping those second graders and third graders to learn to read and establish that good strong foundation in Reading uh the Honor Society program was held last evening with the inductions as Mrs Curtis pointed out it was a very fine program worked very very well and

I too want to congratulate our Honor Society inductees for a job well done working very hard uh to become eligible to be in National Honor Society and we are very proud of each and every one of them for their hard work work as Miss Peep has pointed out in case everyone may have forgotten we are on spring break next week and school will resume on Tuesday April the 2nd so we look forward to a restful and exciting spring break but we're also looking forward to school resuming on April 2nd the last announcement that I have comes from our city of Lake Station they would like to inform our community that they are going to be doing an Easter egg hunt up at Riverview Park this coming Saturday starting at noon so they are extending the

invitation to all of our families and children here in Lake Station come to Riverview Park this coming Saturday at noon and participate in the Easter egg hunt so I'm hoping that that's something that you can fit into your family schedule and be a part of that annual event at Riverview Park and with that that concludes oh excuse me I have one more one more uh I want to take this opportunity to kind of brag on one of our teachers uh Liz oprisco is one of our Title One facility people working over at Hamilton Elementary School and Miss oprisco had the opportunity to apply to be a presenter at a National Conference that will be held this coming June in Denver Colorado after submitting her proposal as to what she would like to present at that

National Conference she received notice this week that her presentation has been accepted and approved and she will be going to Denver she will be presenting uh a workshop titled maximizing student growth leveraging Ina test data for tier three reading success so we are very pleased and very proud of M prisco for taking the initiative to apply to be a presenter at this National Conference and receiving that honor of being accepted to attend so we're very proud of her and I just just wanted to make that known to our board members as well as to our audience this evening and with that I have no further announcements anybody else have any comments before we adjourn the meeting meeting adjourn
