001Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. >> [music] >> Well, hello everyone and welcome to another exciting night of esports competition. Starting up tonight, we have a match that was supposed to happen last week, but due to the flooding at our competitor's school. We had to reschedule it for tonight. All right, so today we got the Bluff and Cyber Tigers versus the Franklin County High School. Why don't we talk about the players that are going to be playing in this important varsity game. Our players tonight for the varsity team are Jaden aka Blue J, Izzy aka Pineapple Queen, Kamora aka Bluey Pogers, who unfortunately couldn't make it today. Uh, then we have Deacon aka Dry Dirt, Eli, Eli aka Webbles, and of course, who could forget Asher aka Library Boy. And

002our starting map for tonight is Pokemon Stadium 2. Okay, so Pokemon Stadium 2 is a pretty simple stage. You got a big platform and two smaller platforms on the left and the right. We're currently loading into the game right about now. So, we're going to be switching over to the game play and yeah, I'm very excited for the match. So, we have played against this uh school before and we ended up winning. So, I'm excited to see how how Franklin County High School tries to combat us today. Yep. Pretty pretty freaking excited. And if you don't know uh the type of battle that they'll be fighting in, we'll be fighting in what's known as a 4v4 crew battle, which is when players from opposing teams take turn fighting one v one matches. And the winner

003of the match will carry the remaining stocks, which are their lives, to the next match. So if someone were to lose two stocks before they took out their opponent, they would start the next match with one stock since it's a three stock game to face the next member of the opposing team. So, the coaches must disclose with one another in private the fighter for the first player on each team in the set. And after a player has lost the game, they will be eliminated from that set. I mean, it's hard to fight if you don't have lives. So, and after a player has won a game, they must continue with the same fighter until they lose within that set. All right. And any stocks the person lost in the previous round or the rounds before

004in before that round, uh, they must self-destruct to lose their stocks, which means you can't hit the other person until they self-destruct, which is jumping off the stage and effectively taking the stocks themselves and then taunting to let the other team know that they're ready and then the battle will commence. All righty. So it looks like So it looks like we're sitting in the arena right now waiting for the other team to come in and they just have arrived into the into the battle arena. All right, check it out. Yep. So there is FC Esports. I wonder what the FC stands for. Maybe fried chicken. I'm not sure. Okay, so they're selecting their player and we already have our player. And we already have our player. All right. All right. Well, I did notice on

005that um well, I did notice that they are taking quite a bit of time to select who they are. Um but all that time it let's see if all that time was worth it. So, they're both in the match. They're both in the arena and we're just waiting for the battle to start. All righty. So, if you are excited for uh the player for the players to play and possibly win tonight, make sure to smack the like button and the subscribe button as both help out our channel a lot. >> [clears throat] >> Okay. Yep. Still waiting for the battle to start right right about now. All right. Battle has battle is about to be started. It's uh loading and it looks like the enemy team has brought out a link. So, it's King K

006Rule versus Link. So, okay. So, Link has a lot of projectiles, but so does King K Rule. Um, and since it's the first match, they're on Pokemon Stadium 2, like I mentioned. But since it's the first one, it's time to start wham baming. All right, starting off with a forward tilt from King K Rule, but Blink using his sword quite a bit, I tell you. All right, so when King K Rule throws his crown, it goes forward and backwards to hit his opponent, which means he's got to space himself really well, using a bomb to block the using the cannonball to block the bomb and hitting and hitting Link's arrow with his crown there for nullifying it. So, it's a neutral air and a back air tries to spike. Oh, and Link self-destructs in the

007first match. Oh, Asher seems pretty happy about that. And Jaden seems to be watching for the background. Ooh, look at all these projectiles colliding. That's the thing you got to expect with both of these characters. Both of their projectiles are really cool. They're all really unique. Some are more Some are better for zoning your opponent and some are better in terms of damage and finishing off combos. Speaking of combo finishers, a Link Sword is also really good. Very disjointed, but he needs to get close to being cancelled for it to be of any use. So that's why he's using all his projectiles. Oh, and he read that. Uh, and he knew that Asher was going to dash, so he used the bow. Oh, he does an upy. Oh, man. Yeah, Asher tried to spike him.

008And Link tried to stab him. Does a back air and into the thunderbust. Oh, and another self-destruct the same way. Oh my. All right, but Link has not given up yet. Oh, for a second I thought Asher was going to self-destruct, too. You know, show him some pity points. All right, goes for an up there. Oh, but an up smash. Okay, the link has taken a stock. All right, let's see. Let's see if uh Ash can finish this off without losing any more stocks. That's a back air. Oh, no. That's a forward air. Does a forward air and another forward air for those of you for those of you counting at home. That's three. That's four forward airs. Forward errors. I see I see what Ashley's doing. Ooh. Does a dash attack and because of

009the belly armor, despite Link getting a hit, it didn't actually interrupt him. That's what's known in this game as super armor. So basically, super armor allows a person uh or a character, I guess, in this sort of context to take damage but not actually flinch. So they can finish up their move even though they took the damage. Oh, tries for a back air even though even though the link was uh to the left of him, he tried to hit him towards the right. All right. Does a down throw and a forward tilt, launching Link off to the left side, launching off a cannonball, which misses. Ooh, does a roll, but since he's so big, Link was able to hit him anyways. Oh, and he countered. Wow. It is pretty surprising that uh Link started holding

010that so so soon. Oh, does a forward smash. Oh, and an up smash too. Knocking Ash your second stock down. What was once a close game, what was once a not close game has become a close game. Look at both of these guys. They both have really high They both really have one stock, but Link has high damage. Let's see if Asher can get this last stock. Oh, and he does with another forward air. Okay, pretty hap and Asher looks pretty happy with that. King K Rule and uh the member of our team is moving on so far. That's freaking awesome. We're going to see who Franklin County counterpicks to. Let's see who they counterpick to to take out to take out Asher. Alrighty. All right. Yeah, King Kru looks really happy with himself. I

011mean, he's smiling, [snorts and music] so that's that's the thing, you know, when you're happy. All right. So, while we're waiting for [music] them to fund it, why don't we shout out one of our Why don't we give a quick shout out to one of our otherwise known as auction? So, I got a question for you. Do you guys have a favorite nonprofit that could use an awesome [music] fundraising idea? Let's go. Auction in is an online and inerson auction platform that [music] can help your nonprofit host a great charity auction. Find out more about it at auction.io.uction.io. And these guys have [music] definitely been these guys have definitely been helping us out a lot. Look at this. There we go. On the side of the on the side of our check [music] that out

012helping us a lot keep our program running. [music] All right. So, it looks like they have made their choice. It doesn't have the little selecting text box. Yep. [music] So, well, we're just waiting for one of them to press the start button. I don't know if they're ready yet. We're going to see [music] who they counter. I'm not sure who they're going to pick. If I had to guess, off the top of my head, I'd [music] probably say villager, but we're we're gonna see. We're not sure who they're going to. And look at that. It's another King Rule. Oh my god. Okay, so we got a bit of a King Rule Smackdown. However, keep in mind because uh because Asher lost because Asher lost a stock, lost two stocks, mind you, in the previous round,

013he's got to jump off twice before he can begin the next match. So, jump off. Yeah, there you go. There you go. King K Rule is pretty heavy, so he falls pretty pretty fast. Yep. Strut all the way over to the blast zone. Ain't that nice? All right, they're teabagging. All right, we're ready to go. Starting off immediately with the crown, but Asher just barely getting away from it. Oh, and he grabs him and does a down throw. Tries to end it right there with a smash attack immediately after. Wow, they're just throwing projectiles at each other. Oh, wow. And Asher was not expecting him to suck that one up. All right. Oh, and they aren't really countering each other's projectiles that much, but that's probably because uh that's probably cuz they know their opponent

014respectively has a counter ability. So, if they counter, they might counter the counter. All right. Does a back air does a dash attack to read the spot tech. Ooh, and Ooh, and uses his neutral bee and a forwarder to launch him off the side. Oh, hitting right below the propeller blade, punching the other K King K Rule right in the stomach for a nasty spike. That's awesome. All right, does a side beat and a dash stack. Quite a bit of shield damage and tries to roll through, but King K Rule's down smash takes a lot of time. So, um, so, uh, Asher was vulnerable and got hit by it. Try sucking up. Try sucking up with the blunder bust. That's what that gun is called. Oh. Oh. Tries for a back air. He knew he

015was going to roll. That's why he didn't do a down air. And does a neutral special, but the crown takes it out. Oh, and a forward arrow. Oh, is he going to do a back air? No, he's going to run away and use a side me. And another dash attack. But this time when the other King Kroll responded with a down smash, he didn't actually hit Azure. Oh. Oh, just barely missing him. King Kru has quite stubby arms. He could have broken uh he could have broken the enemy team's shield right there actually and that would have left him way open. Oh, hits him with the propeller and Asher answering with his own propeller. Ooh, does a side be and the enemy King K rule was just out of range for a dash attack, but

016Asher wasn't. He's got the enemy in the air. Punch hits him right with a cannonball. Oh. Oh, he missed the punish on that one. Oh, is he going to pick up the enemy person's ground? No, he's just going to keep it away. Oh no, he has it. Oh, and instead of using his up upy, the enemy King K ruler runs away. All right. Oh, dang. Asher threw me for a loot again. He He's acting like he's um he's acting like he's going to fall, but he's not doing that. Oh, and he counters the up smash. Wow. Oh, but he counters the dash attack. A cuz one good counter deserves another. All right. Asher's can involve barely missing the enemy. King K rule does a down throw into a forward tail into a neutral special. Almost

017hit him in the head, but he hit him in the back of the head. And up air and that kills him. Oh my. Astra has taken six stalks right now before he's been able to lose three. And if and for those of you that are watching at home and don't know if that's good, that is very good. That's very good. Especially for us. Very good, especially for us. So yeah. Alrighty. Alrighty. So, they got to think of another way to beat uh to beat our King K rule. What can I say? Our King K rule is just freaking amazing today. Woohoo. All right. And speaking of amazing, do you know do you have a local internet provider? Well, we do. So, I want to give a huge shout out to Adam Wells, our local internet

018provider. Adams Wells internet Adams Wells internet telecom. They are directly responsible for our esports players to be able to compete because of their incredibly fast and responsible internet. Yep. Their fiber internet service. If you are in the market for internet and phone service, check out adamswwells.com. That's adamswwellswwells.com. And while I've been rambling about Adam Wells, looks like the enemy team counterpicked to a cloud. All right, so it's the same it's the same process as the previous round. Up. Do not throw that crown. And if you do, don't hit anybody. There you go. Jump off twice. Jump off twice. Look at that. That's good. Look at that. Cloud is just spinning that sword. Look at that. Alrighty. And they're taunting and they're ready to go. Let's do this. All right. Does a neutral air gets away

019from the down smash. Good job. Good job, Asher. Ooh. Yeah. Cloud hitting with his own projectiles. Oh, and hits with plenty of smash attacks. Oh, puts him in the blunderbuzz. Oh, shields that. Okay. Does a dash attack and a neutral special. Ooh, but Cloud went right over that neutral special. Did not get sucked up by the blunderbust today. Does a down throw and a forward tilt. Oh, and he misses the down air. Cloud misses the down air. All right. Does a dash attack all the way over to the right and he's taken another stock. That's seven for those of you keeping keeping score at home. Not like you need to. There's a there's a there's a score forward at the top. Does a forward tilt and a neutral special again, launching him over to the

020side. tries for a spike, which would actually be safe against Cloud since his hitbox doesn't actually go above his head. Leaves him vulnerable. You can hit him. You can even hit him through the stage if you're uh down here long enough. All right. Does a forward smash uh for King K Rule over to the platform. Does a backyard launching Cloud over to the Launching Cloud over to the uh over to the right. Now they're kind of just scuffling on the on the floor. Kind of just scuffling. There's a back air. Dodges Pod's dash attack. Oh, gets him gets him buried right next to the ledge. Almost knocks him over. Oh, he goes for Oh, he tries to suck him up, but that does not help. All right, does a side B and an up smash,

021but neither of which hit. All right, does a roll and another side B. Tries for a neutral air cuz that has a lot of room. Oh, the cloud almost took him out. All right. Ooh. Tries to go for his neutral me and a down air and an up air. Wow. Launching him to the top. Yeah. Now he Oh, man. He did it again. He tried to He tried to jump off the ledge again. Man, he's trolling me at this point, I tell you. He's trolling me at this point, I tell you. Does a neutral B. Cloud does his neutral B and and Asher somehow manages to get behind that neutral B and does a jab combo. Cloud just barely dodging the uh Cloud just barely dodging the crown. does an upbe right there. Dodges the

022upbe and does a neutral air. Clouds that kill percent. Does a neutral air. Oh, but he hits the Oh, but he hits the upbey. It doesn't kill though. Both of these guys are at really high percents. It's in It's kind of hard to tell who's in more danger at this time cuz Asher is at higher damage, but he's playing a heavier character, so it's going to be harder to knock him to knock him down, you know. All right. Oh, but my question has been answered. Cloud with a dash attack launches him to the top and looks like Izzy is taking up is taking over after him. All right, so Cloud is showing off his sword in his wind screen. Good. That's a good That was a good game, I will say. Good game. And wow,

023Congratulations to Asher aka Library Boy. Congratulations. He took eight stocks before losing three. That is freaking awesome, I tell you. Absolutely wonderful. absolutely wonderful for today. Alrighty. So, it looks like uh we're going to have to pick one of our own members to um to take down the cloud. But, it's a good thing because I could tell our over our um our esports uh Smash Bros. players were watching from the background and talking amongst themselves, studying the cloud's play style, and I'm pretty sure we're going to take him down this round. So, Izzy is playing her common Pyrama. If you've stuck around for the season, you would know Izzy is gnarly with that pyramithra, I tell you. Okay, so it's Cloud versus Pythra. But just like Asher had to do previously, Cloud lost two stalks.

024He's got to jump off twice. Got jump off twice. All right, looks like it's going to be a sword fight. So Cloud does his upbeat, which launches him down. That's pretty cool, actually. All right. Is he going to do it again? Oh, upy. There you go. He doesn't press up. He doesn't press B again, which would launch him down even faster, but it's not like it's necessary. All right, it's time for us to taunt. Is he taunt? The enemy taunts. All right, we are ready to go. And don't be alarmed, ladies and gentlemen, at home. Uh, that taunt that Cloud did, that did not actually power him up, despite how it looked. All right, so Izzy is using Pyro Mithra, which if you didn't know, is two characters pushed into one. She's currently using Mithra,

025who's really good at racking up the damage due to her humongous hitboxes and very little air lag. She's able to react to pretty much everything Cloud does in a really good way. Just some highle gameplay right here. And that and this over here is Pyra. Now what Pyra does now what Pyra does is she does a lot of damage as well. Her attacks are a bit more beefy which means they can kill really easily. Ooh. So Cloud launched his neutral be through through Izzy's side be. Oh, does an upbeat but barely misses. Don't fall for that. Send out a sidebe or or just shield. You know what? That was no damage taken. That's okay. That is okay. All right. Does another side be to catch Cloud's dash in. All right. Goes for a neutral special.

026Does not hit. And Cloud doesn't punish in time. Does another side launching him even higher. Goes for a neutral B, launching Cloud over to the left. Oh. Oh man. And Izzy just needs one good punish off of this. A down air on the shield. A down air again. And because of how huge Pyra's hitbox also is, Cloud ends up losing. Cloud Cloud ends up losing one of his stocks. And Pyra hasn't even lo and Izzy hasn't even lost any of her stocks. So congratulations to Izzy. You took them down. For those of you at home, we are on our second player. Well, they are on their fourth. So it's um so it's uh nine stocks to three. So nine stocks to three, which means we are doing pretty good for ourselves for the first round.

027So um yeah. All righty. So they're going to counter pick. Who do you who do you think could um who do you think could beat Py Mithra right now? Write it write it down in the chat. Actually, that'd be pretty cool. I want to hear your guys' opinions on who Pyro who could beat Pyramithra. would you counterpick to? Or just who's your favorite character in Smash Bros. because there are a ton to choose from? Which is really cool when you think about it because all these players not only have to learn their characters, but they also have to learn all the other characters. They also have to learn all the other characters due to them all being different and having different play styles against each other, you know. All right. So, they're currently just selecting

028right now. They're just in the lobby selecting selecting their um [clears throat] selecting the the counter pick. Maybe they're reading the chat to see who who they should counterpick to. Alrighty. So, yeah. See, yeah, this could be our this could be uh the last round of round one. This could be the last match of round one. Oh, and it looks like they have selected is to All we need to do now is press the start button and we're going to see who the character is. It would appear to be a kneebrawler, which is a very interesting choice. See, the Miis have a lot of different special abilities. cuz you know they have a possibilityility of three for each of their special moves for neutral special, up special, side special, and down special. All of those

029could be one of three moves. So yeah. So Izzy's going to have to um Izzy's going to have to strategize and sort of find out >> find out uh what which one this uh me has. He's probably got the shot put neutral because that is one of the strongest that's one of the strongest projectiles in the game. His side is the is a command grab. So Izzy's gonna have to watch herself because uh Oh, yep. He's trying to grab her. Think of it kind of like Ridley's side B. All right, that is simply just pressing the A button. That upbe um it doesn't have a hit box on the back of the move. That is a downbe and it just is a really heavy thing down. Think of it like Steve's anvil, but you can't

030reflect it. Best to just shield and punch. That's how it is with a lot of moves, especially that heavy hitting ones. And speaking of heavy hitting, man, me brawler is certainly giving Izzy a run for her money. Oh, she's trying. She's maneuvering. She's maneuvering. Oh, and he lets down his shield. Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your shield. And he did. Oh, that's a that's a freaking pile driver right over there. Does a side B over there. That side B hit box is really big. Really big, I tell you. Gets right back on the platform. Does a neutral special in the wrong direction. Both of them dodge to the left. Neither of neither of them are punishing. Oh, but speaking of punishing, oh, looks like uh looks like Franklin County punished is punished Izzy right there with

031a forward smash and took her stock away. Is he trying to give some pressure from the from below the platform? Ooh. Does a down air and she's trying to punish. Does an upbeat. Ooh. Ooh. But he shields the upbeat. Oh, and he jump and she jumps trying to follow him up with an up air and she succeeds in doing so. Okay. Okay. doing another upy. Oh, but he punishes. Runs right through the fire. Runs right through the fire. Tries to read. Oh, she he barely didn't measure um he barely didn't measure how long that side was going to be. Uh that side was going to side B. So, she ended up punishing. So, now it's two stalks to two. But Izzy does have a bit more percentage than uh than the MI brawler over here.

032So, she's got to work be extra careful, especially since Pyra is very light. She can die by a lot of things. All right. Does a neutral B and a side B over. Okay. There's another side B again. Ooh. Uh the mei brawler tries to punish her with an up smash and it looks like Oh yeah. 76. Yeah. All right. Goes up to 92. The two are very in the two are very close. Reads the jump from the ledge. Good job, Izzy. Reads the jump from the ledge. Ah, it's so good to see Izzy back. You may not you may not know this, but Izzy actually wasn't here last week, so it's pretty cool. He's probably been training since then in a like a secret dojo in the mountains or something. All right, launching out many

033Ariel just putting on the pressure. Oh man, she's in his face just pushing him. Oh, and snipes him with the upbey and another side beam. Oh my gosh, trying to get in his head any way she can. Does another side beep and does a dash attack. Okay. Oh. Oh, and dodges right through the grab. Does a down throw and an upy as well, but it was in the wrong direction. Not to mention the Mi Brawler was a bit too high. Oh, a flurry of punches sending Izzy to the top. Now, I do have to mention that this is Mi Brawlers and in fact the entire team's last dog. Oh, and that last dog is gone. It looks like we have won the first round of this match. So, congratulations to Izzy. Heck yeah. >> All

034right. So, so we only use two of our players, which means which means that um which means there there are three other players that um just Yep. There are four other players actually. And there are four other players that have yet to play. So, expect to see some more expect to see some more characters unless they decide to go with the same characters again cuz considering the last round, it wouldn't be the worst option considering how that went. All righty. So now the enemy team has the opportunity to counterpick a stage. So if they want a stage with a different layout that would benefit them, they can totally do that. They can totally do that. Okay. So it looks like they're just looks like they're just uh thinking about the stage. And it looks and

035I'm pretty sure and I'm pretty sure they haven't I'm pretty sure they haven't selected a new stage. I guess we'll we'll figure that out by the time they by the time they open a new stage. by the time they get a new stage. That's what I mean. By the time they get into the game. Alrighty. And while we're waiting for this next round to start, I just want to give a quick shout out to Frederick's Photography. So, both individual and team photos for the esports program have been provided by Frederick's Photography. With over 35 years of experience, Frederick's provides studio and outdoor photography. On location options, as well as professional retouching. If you, your family, or your dog, or your team needs a professional photo taken, check out frederick'sphoto.com. That's frederick's-photo.com. Special shout outs to

036Frederick's photography, I tell you. Cuz I've been looking at the pictures they've been taking of the team. Chef's kiss, I tell you. It looks like they have opened the game. And it looks like they're sending out the link first one more time. Sending out Link First one more time. And they also selected Battlefield as their stage of choice. Battlefield is a bit different from Pokemon Stadium. The main difference being the fact that there's a top platform and Eli is using that to his advantage, I tell you. Yep. Using that using that to his advantage trying to kill Link off the top using many grabs cuz I will say Donkey Kong is amazing with that. He throws a player up. Instead of throwing them up in the air, he just puts him on his shoulder and

037throws him into the stage and he misses the tech immediately losing the first stop. Okay, but we know this link. We saw him last round. He can come back from pretty much anything. Does an up air and another up air, man. Man, Donkey, Kong, and Lucas both have the same up air, I tell you. Does a back air and does a side knee. Doesn't bury him. That has a chance to. And I'm pretty sure Link was too far in the air for it to bury him. So he kind of just bounced. Oh, barely misses. Barely misses the ledge. Okay, but Link is at a pretty high percent. So a good punch. Yeah. Yeah. Good thing he's charging that punch. A good a good old one, two should be enough. Oh, he tries to do the

038same thing. No, he sends him the other way. Oh, parries that, but to no avail. It's not like I don't think Donkey Kong has anything that can reach below. Ooh, he did have something that could reach above the platform, though. Uh, but he was a little too far to the left. Oh, and is he? Yep. He does a forward throw again. But Link's Link's recovery is very horizontal in nature. Like he can go side to side really well. Not as good in at in in the vertical sense, but in a horizontal sense. He can he can cover a large distance a lot like Donkey Kong actually. And does an up air sending him to the top just like what he was trying to do at the beginning, sending him off the stage up the top.

039All right. Tries for a grab and jumps away before Link can grab himself. before Link can grab Donkey Kong himself. Does an up tilt. Little gets away from the upbey. Good job. Tries for a forward air. Um Donkey Kong has quite a few spikes in this game. He has quite a few spikes. He's got the forward air. He's got the down air. He's got Oh, shoot. Oh, shoot. Eli fell again. All right, it's one stock to one stock. His side be can His side be can uh can spike. His down be can spike. A lot of spikes on Donkey Kong. shields the sword, remembers to shield twice. I know whenever I played Young Link, that would catch people off guard. Usually they would drop their shield and then I'd be like, "Haha, I'm still in

040the air." Oh, it goes for an up smash. Tries to punish. Oh, all right. Does another up throw and another up air. Link answering with the same thing again, doing his down air. Oh, and he does a down air again. And and Eli ended up using his punch. So, he's got to charge that up. Or he could just use one of Donkey Kong's other moves cuz this guy freaking hits like a truck. Oh, does a forward throw over the head and Link has had his three stocks taken. We're in the lead by one stock. So, let's see if Eli So, let's see how long Eli can actually keep that one stock. He'll probably keep it for a very long time. I will say he'll probably keep it for a very long time. So, another thing

041about Battlefield that wasn't really used as much um that uh that's different from Pokemon Stadium 2 is that Pokemon Stadium 2 has like a staff kind of in the middle, you know, and that and that makes it weird for bouncing off of, you know. Yeah. But, uh Battlefield is more triangular in nature, you know. Okay. Yeah. So, that one went that one went pretty well for us. Uh we've managed to keep one of our stocks. So, we are currently in the lead and we're going to be trying to keep that lead as long as possible and also make it as big as possible. We want the biggest leads and the least amount of stocks left. Uh the the least amount of stocks that were that were taken away. I guess we don't want our stocks

042taken away. No, no, no, no, no. Alrighty. And what you saw and what you saw back there um is that when uh Eli grabbed is that when Eli grabbed Link with his cargo throw, he was able to throw him into the stage and uh bounce him off of it. Now, there was a way that Link could have gotten out of the bouncing and that's what's known as a tech. If you press the shield button as soon as you hit the stage, you basically absorb all of the impact and get to recover back to the stage, but he didn't do that in time. So, so Eli ended up taking the stock relatively early. Okay. Alrighty. So, they're currently selecting right now. Um, I'm not sure who they're going to select. I don't know who I don't

043know who would uh oppose Donkey Kong super well. I don't know like a good Donkey Kong matchup. Like all the characters I made, I'm going to be honest, aren't that great against Donkey Kong. So, if you want an easy way to beat me, choose Donkey Kong. All right. So, they are So, they're still selecting at the moment, you know, still selecting at the moment. I'm pretty sure team morale is pretty high right now, but we have to stay focused because I tell you um because [clears throat] I tell you mindset is very important when it comes to these when it comes to these games. You need to make sure you're in the right headsp space so you're making the right decisions. I know when I'm like very low down I don't make the best decisions

044myself. Mhm. Alrighty. All right. All right. So, we're currently they're currently still selecting, you know, currently uh currently picking a character. And I guess I can't I can't say I blame them because there are like a lot of characters in this game. Last time I checked, there were like 80 maybe 83, maybe 83 characters off the top of my head. Yeah, I name them right now. But but uh that would probably take too long, you know. Oh, yep. They're still selecting. Still selecting. Still out of the ring. Still selecting, you know, and we can't start until they select a player. So, we're just going to be we're just going to be here for a little bit. Oh, and the selecting prompt has gone away. So, it seems So, it seems like they've made a decision

045unless they're unless they're talking amongst themselves. They That's one thing a lot of people tend to forget. There's a lot of strategy when it comes to this. There's a lot of strategy. And that's and it's good because our team is actually really, really, really good at strategy, I tell you. Has all the best players, I tell you. I feel like showing up. >> Well, awesome. >> Pretty sure my mic is on. >> You better make sure your mic is on. Look who it is. >> The switch that says that my mic is on, I think. >> Mhm. >> That's what that means. >> And look at that. It's It's our very own varsity captain, Jaden, otherwise known as Blue J. What's up? >> Exactly. Those are both of my names. Hello. Nothing much. >> You've

046come just in time. The next match is starting. And it looks like we got a Clash of the Titans. It's Donkey Kong versus Bowser today. >> Very good. Did they count a big statement? I I mean they were playing they were playing on uh Pokemon Stadium 2, but they're on Battlefield now, so I'm pretty sure that would be a counter pick. >> Okay. I'm not sure though. I'm not sure. Maybe maybe they just uh mess up. >> Well, they're Well, they're just going to play anyway. >> Okay. Well, that's awesome. Do you have any experience with either of these characters? >> Like playing or fighting? >> Uh fighting. >> Um yes, I would say both. I would say less like in serious settings, less with DK. I have fought um a good Bowser before. >>

047I would say two, but like one one was offline, so that's the one I'm thinking of right now. >> Yep. >> Isabelle Bowser is very patient for Isabelle. You most of the time want to just be out of the range of Bowser because he might just like die in three hits. >> That's true. That's true. Cuz Isabelle is a light character and Bowser does a lot of damage. So naturally, you'd want to stay away. Use the fishing rod and all the projectiles you can. >> Exactly. Yep. All right. And while we were talking, Eli took another stock. That's four so far he's taken. >> Oh, >> perfect. >> Oh, does a four throw. Is he going to spike? >> Oh, dead at 13%. Another stock on Eli's part. Congratulations. That's five now. Holy canoli. >>

048That's the same amount of sides as a Pentagon. Oh, but speaking of sides, Eli flew off to the right side of the screen. And unfortunately, that means his stock has been taken. But it was a good showing anyways. He took five stocks before losing three. It was a very good showing. Yes, >> very good showing. Do you Who would you counter pick in this situation to fight the Bowser? >> To fight the Bowser. >> I mean, it is a onetock situation. So, as long as like the send just doesn't mess up royally. >> It's probably just about anyone. I would go either Izzy or Deacon, honestly, because I know Deacon would probably enjoy a big hitbox if he does decide to play one of his classic zero to death characters. >> Yep. I I would

049imagine. I would imagine. Yep. >> And Izzy's probably a good like neutral pick because Pyro is such a high tier character. So, if you're thinking about like counter picks, Yeah. you might not have a very solid one. >> That's true. That's true. And yeah, with Izzy playing a high tier character, she could pretty much like go against pretty much anyone and still have a decent amount of chance of winning against them. >> Pretty much at least character-wise. At least character wise. >> Yeah. Combining that with Izzy's skill. That would be a crazy match. So, it seems like they have selected. They're back in the They're back in the arena. So, all they need to do is press start and we can find out who they counterpick to. >> Did they go out of the arena?

050I'm not sure if they've even started selecting their next guy. I can't. Well, actually, no, because the facecam is empty. Oh, Izzy is getting into the facecam. Okay, so it looks like it looks like Izzy is here. She must have heard what we were saying or something, you know. She must have heard. All right. So, while she's uh selecting her character, do you think uh do you think the varsity team has a good chance of winning tonight? >> I I think we do. We've already taken that round one. >> Yeah, >> we have not played me or Deacon yet. I think things are looking up for moving on to round two against, I believe, Lakeland. >> Oh, yeah. I'm excited. I'm excited for that. And I'm excited for this match, too. All right. >> Oh,

051yeah. That's this Wednesday. I forgot >> that is this Wednesday. So, >> this was supposed to be last week. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. >> Mhm. Alrighty. So, so Bowser's going to jump off the stage using his his down special, I think. Yeah, cuz his down air is the shell one. Okay. So, he uses his down special. Easyy's dash dancing, taunting in her own special way, and they both taunt it, and it's time to get started. So, like Jaden was saying earlier, Bowser is a pretty big character. He's got a lot of surface area to work with in terms of hitboxes. And good for Izzy. Her hit boxes are huge. >> Exactly. Both of the big swords that this character has so good at just getting those swipes in neutral to continue the combos, swatting

052people off stage and that nice and big hit boxes get should be nice and easy to swat. A yeah. Oh, speaking of swatting. Oh wow, almost took the Bowser out there. Oh, I don't think that neutral special has super armor, unfortunately. She would have killed him if it did. >> I don't believe it does. Yeah. >> Oh, that does though, but it didn't hit. >> Oh, yeah. Oh, does a sidebe interrupting his forward smash. Well, semi-interrupting his forward smash. Oh, does an upbeat and kills him in about a minute. >> Very nice. Caught the landing. Bowser cannot land safely against the one stock bandit. >> Oh, yeah. Took took him down, I tell you. Took him down. >> Cutting through Bowser like butter, I tell you. >> Mhm. >> With her very large butter knife.

053Yes. >> Very large butter knife that spins. I wish I could cut butter like that. Like throw the knife and it would cut it that way. >> Yes. It's just like the th the thousand degree knife challenge. You remember that trend? >> I do. I do remember that actually. Like there were blowtorrches on the knives. It cut through stuff. Oh yeah, that stuff was awesome. >> Yes. All that. >> Mhm. That was that was awesome. If there were if they're like like prominent shorts, you you better believe those were under the videos. Those would be under the videos if >> they they would have dominated YouTube shorts if it was made years earlier. >> Oh my gosh. They totally would have. They totally would have. Okay. So, they're still selecting. Um, they I Who do

054you think they might counterpick to fight Izzy right now? >> Um, unless they anchor with me brawler. I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted the run back. That was a fairly even match. >> Yeah, that's true. That's true. Oh, looks like it's a King K Rule. And that might actually work in King Kru's favor cuz while he does have the same giant uh the giant um while he does have the same giant body as Bowser, he also has a counter. So Izzy is going to have to use her side beast strategically as to not have it blow up in her face. >> Yes. And the projectiles could always come into play with Kru. Yeah. Look at Look at that crown. >> Look at that speed as well. Getting right behind King Kru. Yeah, because a

055lot of his uh a lot of his projectiles actually have quite a bit of lag on them. And with is and with uh Mithra being such a fast character, she can just get right in, get right out, you know. >> True. But you got to you got to avoid it first. >> Mhm. Yep. Got to avoid it. Which which she hasn't been doing with those cannonballs or the crown. Oh no. Oh, but King Kroll hasn't been avoiding the swords either. Tries for a counter, but that but I'm pretty sure that was a misinput on Izzy's part. Or maybe she expected King K roll to go to the platform. All right. Does a side be in terms of edge guarding. Tries to read for a neutral. Get up. >> Jumps over. Oh, it does. Shield that

056jump. >> We We just throwing projectiles. >> Yep. >> We just throwing them out. >> If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Izzy's going to have to find a way around. She could have used her her battles. >> Yep. Jumps up. Oh, >> nice shot from the table. >> Mhm. Jumping up and jumping. Going up and down. Oh, yep. of King Rule getting the first stock, but luckily Izzy is pretty good at taking stocks. >> That was a good punish. Izzy trying to go in for something that would probably kill if it sent the right wave. Speaking of things that kill, >> did you see that hitbox? It hit King K Rule and blocked the crown in the same move. The amount of timing on that. Absolutely bonkers on Izzy's part. >> Very nice play.

057Yes, >> very nice play indeed. And now Izzy doesn't have her own projectiles either. [clears throat] At least as Mithra as Pyro, she has one projectile. Oh, tries for a side B, but but King K Rule's projectiles actually interrupt interrupt as he side B. So yeah, that side B isn't necessarily the safest either. >> Yeah, >> it's not like it's not like you can combo that much off of it either because of how far it sends the opponent. >> Does another side beat when he's Oh, hits him in the head, dodging the counter. >> Nice shot. Switching to Pyro now. Perhaps wanting a kill. >> Oh, and she almost does. >> That's a big boy. That's a big boy. And he's heavy, too. Oh, tries for a neutral special off stage. That would She's going

058for the clip, I tell you. She's going for things you could put in a scrapbook, I tell you. >> Oh, does an upy through through the platform. Wow. >> I have to guess she's going to try to land on him again with that neutral be. Yeah, that >> that spinny move. >> Oh. Oh. Ah, but he was ready. He did a side. He did an up and she did a neutral be sending him off to the left. And barely not hitting him with said side B. Does it does an up special? Oh man, he was probably expecting that side beat. Good. Good counter play from Izzy part from Izzy's part. Look at that. And she has brought it all the way back. Look at that. She's got two stocks. King Kru has one. Let's see

059if she can keep both of those stocks. She's going to have to play strategically to do it, but I still believe in her. >> It will be very difficult. There's not a lot in Kru's kit that if it sends the right way that wouldn't kill Mithra or Pyra here. Very high percent against a very hard-hitting character. >> That's true. Luckily, uh, Mithra is definitely fast, so it wouldn't be impossible, I would say. >> Good swats with the bears there. >> That's true. Using and she is using that upy projectile. Yeah, that was a projectile I actually forgot about. The uppie has a projectile [clears throat] which can hit pretty good. >> 89%. It's time for the pyro to come out. >> A does an upy. Oh, sends him almost all the way to the right

060>> with that rage boost. That's going to do additional knock back. >> Oh, lands on the stage. and launches him over to the right. Izzy wins this match. Okay. And she only lost one stock during that entire thing. That is amazing on uh on Izzy's part. >> Yes, she started rolling getting those interaction wins in the neutral got him into disadvantage and the edge guarding just did the rest. Incredible performance. >> What can I say? Big hit boxes just do well for edgeguarding that and projectiles. Yes. Be so nice to as it can be so difficult to escape the ledge when you're a heavy. >> Yeah, especially with how big they are, as I was saying earlier. Yep. Pretty much anything can hit. It may not kill, but it'll hit and rack up the damage.

061>> Mhm. >> All righty. All righty. That was a pretty exciting match, though. Oh my gosh. >> Yes. Very solid. And now this is their I believe last send. >> Yeah. Yeah. This is their last send. And for those of you keeping track at home, you would know that Izzy so far has taken four stocks while only losing one. That's a really good ratio to have actually take four stocks and lose one. You could wipe out an entire team with that ratio, assuming you lost a single stock after the four stocks. >> Mhm. All right. And looks it looks like they're bringing out a Ganondorf. Oh boy. This one is probably going to get up close and personal on Ganon's part because while is while Izzy has sparing projectiles, Ganondorf has none. Yes, Ganondorf definitely

062going to be wanting to get in close. Maybe some sort of side be. We're probably going to see some Warlock kicks. >> Yeah, probably going to see more My Mithra than more Pyro than Mithra if I'm going to be honest. >> Damage is going to rack up fast if Izzy doesn't uh if Izzy just lets Whoa. >> Oh, >> I was I'm not even going to finish my thought cuz that was a >> that was a good move. >> That was trying to end this immediately. Oh, sends off a sidebe as a ledge guarder. Doesn't doesn't do anything. Oh, does the upbe. I didn't realize the hit box extended that far. >> All right. Does another side be and he runs into it. That's what we like to see. Does an up air and another

063up air when he was below her. Oh man. >> Mhm. And this is an example of how difficult neutral can be as Ganondorf. You don't really have very good movement or many good options to counterplay something like that side be. >> That's true. If you thought neutral was bad, I' i'd say advantage is even worse. Well, disadvantage state is even worse. >> It It absolutely [clears throat] is. >> Yeah. I mean, that's the entire point. It's disadvantage state. It's not like you're going to be good at it. >> Yeah. Ganondorf just does not have a lot of utility outside of doing straight damage. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Speaking of damage, Izzy is doing plenty herself, I tell you. Doing plenty of upies. That one got taken away by the platform. Ooh, that was a little

064clash right there. Ooh, and another Well, not really a clash. Ooh, just barely just barely dodges the up smash. Doing plenty of up airs. Ooh, he's at 69%. That's a funny number right there. And >> funny. Oh, not funny at all. >> Not funny. 77 is like the most serious number in the world >> for real. >> Oh, just barely dodging. Just barely dodging the uh Ganondorf up smash. Goes for the side B as a ledge [ __ ] again. All right, using a neutral special, a down air, and another down air, and an up special. Ganondorf did a solid job getting back into advantage, but that neutral B is going to connect. Get him back in disadvantage. Back in neutral again. >> Ganondorf. Pretty solid at getting out of that ledge. >> That's good. Oh, and

065read the roll right there. Oh. Oh, he's back. >> Ganondor and a teabag. >> And a teabag. He's proud of himself for that one. Oh, and >> gets caught immediately taught to get bodied. >> Oh my gosh. Well, let's make sure Izzy doesn't make the same mistake by also teaagging. Uh-oh. But she did make a mistake by doing it almost again. Almost did it again. Holy. >> The F smash too long. >> Holy cad. >> Oh man. Both of these guys are so in the zone right now. Dodging hit boxes and throwing out as many as they can. Oh, speaking of hitboxes. >> Dodging that. >> Does a grab instead of a forward smash. Oo, I like that. All right. Does a neutral special as Pyrath as Mithran switches to Pyra. >> Now up to

06697 and 104. Gandorf's in the triple digits >> looking to catch with that famous up B. The Izzy up B. >> Oh. Oh. Goes for an up air. All right. >> Catches again with the side B. It's so good at that ledge and catches with the up Bow to kill Textbook Izzy. >> Textbook Izzy. She didn't she didn't let that teaagging stand that much longer, I tell you. >> She did not live on stream. She will not be disrespected in her own school. >> In her own school. Look at that. So, congratulations to Izzy cuz she took that Ganondorf foul. But man, you were right about him getting out of disadvantage state really quickly. That I cannot imagine that being easy, especially with such a slow character with a big hit box. >> It definitely

067isn't. Definitely a solid performance from the Ganondorf. >> Definitely a solid at least at least he had a reason to teabag. That was a pretty good punish as well. >> You never have a reason to disrespect your opponent. Come on. >> Yeah. Yeah. I guess that's fair. I guess that's fair. Disrespect is just not cool. Disrespect is disrespectful. >> Exactly. >> But that is the victory in round one of playoffs for the varsity Smash team. Later this week on Wednesday, we will move on to face Lakeland. >> Mhm. Who knows? They might have a nest in their future. >> Last time [clears throat] we played them, I don't think >> Oh, >> they did. >> Well, that's okay. That's okay. They might they might bring it out like as a as something really cool, I

068guess. >> Maybe. Maybe they're watching right now. Maybe they're heard you. They heard me and they're just going to be like, "Okay, screw what we were doing. Let's all pick up nest. We got this." >> Exactly. >> The four nest strategy. That is awesome. >> All right. So, next up, we do have our Tetrio single elimination playoff with six of our seven. [laughter] >> Varsity Tetrio players still remaining, so stay tuned for that. >> Is it actually six of our seven? Is that not even a joke? It is. [laughter] >> It is. It is. >> I thought we were doing that for the bit. No, no, it is not. It is not for a bit. That's not That's not um [clears throat] >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. Heat. Hey. Heat. Heat. Hey,

069hey, hey. >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. N. >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. screen etc. [music] >> [music] [music] >> Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. Hey. Hey. Hey. Heat. >> [music] >> Heat. Hello everyone, all my guys, gals, and non-binary pals. Welcome to round two of the IHSN post season for Tetrio. My name is Jaden, and we are down to the top 16 remaining in the Indiana High School Esports League >> in Tetrio. Oh yeah, six of our seven V six of our seven varsity tent trio players are remaining. They're going to be duking it out against other schools and potentially their own teammates. Stay tuned. >> I wonder if that'll happen. >> I wonder. >> Oh my goodness. >> I don't know. Just going to have to keep watching. >> Yes, they are fighting

070for spots in state finals hosted by the arena at Innovation Mile in Hamilton County, >> 30 minutes away from Indianapolis. >> Mhm. gonna be going out real far. That's how you know we're serious. >> All right. So, why don't we talk about the first match of the night? >> All right. Well, the first match of the night is we are counting down to it right now. On the left, we have first seed in the tournament, our very own Hunter aka Lazy Soul going up against 17th seed Jaden 445 from Lester High School. >> And so far, And so far, Lazy Soul has put a lot of his Tetrio training to work except for that misp. But he's ignore that. >> Yeah. Yeah. Don't worry, we're going to ignore that. Um, but he's still he's still

071stacking up so many different pieces. He just made another T-pin, man. I wonder how many freaking T-pins that was. >> All the T-pins in the world. And I wonder what that timer that he just switched off of his tab was for. >> I don't know. All right, he's speed running at this point. He's speed running. Goes for another T-pin. And a third T-spin. That was only a T-pin single this time. All right. Trying to figure out where that piece goes. Oh, that wasn't a T- spin. He missed the overhang. Unfortunately, there's two parts of the T-pin. The overhang and the T-shaped hole. And you need both of those. There's a fourth T-pin right there and a fifth T-pin on top of that. Look at that. >> You're way more qualified to talk about T-spin than

072I am. >> Yep. And there's another T-pin. Oh my gosh. And ever since the game uh got a new update, I'm pretty sure T-pins are more powerful than all clears at this point, actually. >> Well, they they made them better. >> Yeah. Well, no, they made all clears worse. Instead, [music] instead of sending eight lines of garbage, it just sends four now. >> About the same as a quad. >> All right. I thought they buffed the chest thing. >> Oh no. Oh no. All right. And another T-shaped hole, I tell you. Look at all these freaking T-shaped holes. Hunter has probably got all these T-shaped holes down to a sun. I mean, look at that. He uses a J piece, [music] an S piece, and a Zpiece to make that T-shaped hole. He is so

073locked in with these patterns and making all these holes for that maximum damage from the T-pin double after T-pin double after T-pin double and now he's one. >> Yep. T-pin doubles. What can I say? They're good. They send a lot of lines. >> They're very yummy. Yes. >> Yeah. Very yummy lines. I I do like lines. [clears throat] >> As we all should. We all should appreciate lines, especially when they're sent to Especially when they're sent to me. Cuz I like the lines. I do. >> Mhm. >> You heard it here first. Send him lines. >> Send me lines of Tetrio. >> Send me lines of tetriel. I'll take him down and send him right back. >> Oh, now we on Google. >> Jaden said, "Bro, how?" [laughter] >> Oh, hi. >> Hello, other Jaden.

074How are you doing? I'm sure you're very cool. >> Just how? I mean, I said the same thing when I was playing. I was like, how how do people just get this good at the game? >> I don't know. It's the holy flow state. I have no clue how they attain it. >> I don't know. Like, with Smash Bros., it's understandable. Your characters have these specific moves. You can dodge these and counter these with these moves. You know, with these, you got all these different pieces, all in all sorts of different combinations, and you just have to know what what where you put it, you know? It's just crazy. >> I mean, it's understandable to me. Smash is I'm sure it's very complicated looking to a to the most Tetris players. >> Yeah. Yeah. Tetris.

075Uh I would say Yeah. Yeah. I feel the same way with Tetris. Tetris doesn't seem as complicated to me um as Smash Bros. would seem to you. So why don't we talk about the next match of the night? >> The next match of the night. It is where we will have our seed four Clay aka Firestorm going up against 13 seed Ananio from Planefield High School. >> Oh yeah. Shouts out Shout outs to Ananio. Bro has just not changed his profile picture. That's freaking awesome. >> He does. He's not He's a no profile picture changing person. >> I I wouldn't assume so. I just associate that picture of a dog with Ananio at this point. >> I just do. I don't know if it's their dog or just a random dog. I don't even know

076if it's AI generator or not. Well, we we we do like profile picture loyalty. >> Ah, yes, we yes, we definitely do. >> All right. >> Ignore how I change mine like once per year. >> Oh my goodness. A bracket. >> Yep, that is a bracket right there. That is a bracket. >> Oh, there's a match. That's a That's a replay of the match that we just saw. >> Yep. Hunter is watching himself. And Hunter, if you're still watching, you did really good, buddy. >> All right, here we go. accountant >> on the left, Ananio on the right, >> and goes for a T-spin triple and a T-pin double. Look at that. What a what a freaking What a freaking good combo, I tell you. You almost got an all clear there. >> I wonder

077who it came from. If only I knew who was on the left and who was on the right. >> Mhm. All righty. Look at >> Righty. >> That's where Ananio is. >> Oh, lefty. >> And that's where Clay is. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Good to know. Actually, it's a good thing you told me that. I wouldn't have known. >> I shouldn't keep this bit up for the entire match. >> You You can I I I won't judge you. >> It'll get stale. >> Mhm. Look at that. Another teaspin triple. That is freaking awesome. I barely saw any of those when I played last. Yeah, people are just getting so good, I tell you. >> All right, >> evolution. Yes, >> the evolution kids these these kids these days, I tell you. >> All right, we

078both know. We both know about these these youngsters and their six sevens and their what what else do they nowadays? Yeah, >> brain rot. >> Yeah, that stuff. >> Mhm. All right. And back in Nightwalk's perspective, he just needs one more match to take down Ananio and secure his place. And there's a Oh, oh, oh. Oh, just barely misses the T-pin. >> Unfortunate for him, but he can build back. But that makes things a little bit more even than I'm sure he would like. >> Yep. But good thing he's good at unevening the evens. >> Oh wow. >> Speaking of even, he's got like two different stacks on either side of the board. He's like preparing for different pieces. Like this can go on the left, this can go on the right. I know. Like

079>> in Trio, you want to try to build like 4x4 or 3x4 boxes, you know? >> Yeah. because that'll make it easier to find overhangs for T-Spins. They call it like six by um No, they call it 5 by4 stacking, I'm pretty sure. All right. And Nightwalk wins the match three. That is freaking awesome. Congratulations, Nightwalk. >> Good job, Clay. That's another Cyber Tiger victory on the night. Another one of our players surviving to play Tetris another day. >> That is good. Yeah, cuz with Tetris, you never know which game will be your last. >> Exactly. I feel like that can go for anything. That's also rather ominous for a game about blocks. >> Oh, you'd be surprised how ominous this block game can get. How >> ominous this block game >> is just so

080ominous, I tell you. >> So ominous. Look at Look at how ominous this bracket is with the smoke. >> Mhm. That is the mo that is the best way to to show how this game is, you know. All right, so you can see all you can see all of our members. Luckily, all of us seem to have the uh the uh cyber tiger as our uh profile picture, at least on challenge where this is. >> That makes it nice and convenient. >> Mhm. That is good. And here's the And here's another picture. And Gasp. What's that at match 21s? Oh no. Oh my. Oh boy. Well, in case you don't know what we're talking about, right up there, you'll notice Xdarch Xstar Ninja A versus O Sheets 15. And as you can tell by their

081profile pictures, they're both they're both players here. You know, they're both players here. You hate to see it, but one of the only one of these beloved Cyber Tigers will be moving on after tonight. Best of luck to both of them. But before we get to that one, we also have some other we also have some other things we should get to like our favorite sponsorships. >> Yes, our heart our heartbreaking uh double cyber tiger match can wait for later in the night as well as the sponsors unfortunately because we are getting another match started. >> Yep. It looks like Lego Master's private room. It is Lego Master versus Gray the Boss. >> Yep. And aka Lego Master on the left side of your screen. Did I mention that he's on the left side of

082your screen? >> He's Yep. and his opponent is from Nightstown Community High School. So, shout outs to those guys. >> Cool name. >> Yeah, it is pretty cool. Nightstown. Imagine living in Nightstown. >> Nightstown. That's like a fantasy name. >> Mhm. Yep. No dragons coming there. That's literal Nightstown. That's like Superman going to Kryptoniteville. >> Exactly. [clears throat] Oh, yes. >> Kryptoniteville. >> We love Kryptoniteville. [laughter] >> All right. Yep. Emmen is sending as many blocks as he uh blocks of garbage as he can. So, one thing I don't think we have mentioned yet is that the reason all these guys are making matches is to send gray blocks to their opponent's board to attempt to top them out. The better combos you get, the more garbage, as it's called in the Tetris lingo, to

083your opponent. Actually, I'm pretty sure that's an official name. I think it's actually stated in the rules. >> I I think it is. Yeah. >> And speaking of which, look at that. Lego Master rules. He got a point. >> He's blacking on him. Did you see that, Faith? Blacking on him. >> Oh my gosh, that smirk. Look at that. He is proud of himself after that. >> Is he hitting the big papa pump Scott Steiner emote? >> Mhm. He is going crazy. Look at that. Look at that. He's going at over a piece a second. Goodness gracious. Like he has to know which piece and know where to put it in the span of about a span of less than a second. That is crazy how fast he's going. >> You have to be very

084very comfortable with this game to go that fast. >> Yep. Yeah. I hear some people even change their controls entirely and make their controls all weird just so they can play Tetris better. I have no idea how people can adapt to that, but it is crazy. Speaking of adapting, look at that. Things are just working out for EMTT over here. Oh, unfortunately. Unfortunately, he had to unfortunately he miss dropped and he used up his eyepiece. He's got to he's got to start getting down to that uh getting down to the uh to the garbage down there, which in the tetrio community is referred to as downstacking, which I am actually terrible at. >> Luckily, EMTT has opened up that pocket. He needs a line piece. There it is through >> and and does and and

085sends the J piece down as well to follow it for a nice combo. Yep. >> The boss not to be outdone. He has put EMTT in a rough situation once again with more garbage scent. But here we go. EMTT >> again the quad. Oh my gosh. And oh my gosh, look at all these lines. And he took them down. Adjust your hair EMTT and adjust your trophy cuz you are getting one. >> Very nice. Look at that. Adjust adjust yourself your shelf because you're going to be getting a trophy on it. Ah, there you go. All right, starting off. Both of these players don't really seem to have that many like Tetrio like specific Tetrio openers. They just seem to keep their stacks flat, which keep in mind is a really good um which is

086a really good strategy to use, keeping your stacks relatively flat, you know, and especially helps with the down stacking I mentioned earlier since you don't have to get through that much and have very specific pieces to get to the garbage down there. >> Absolutely. All righty. Just sending as much as many um as many as many pieces of garbage their way. And as you could tell, as you could tell, Gray the boss is uh misplacing a few. Oh, but he seems to be coming back from this. >> Yeah, in a difficult situation, but he is building back nicely. But EMTT sending that garbage. Relentless. >> Look at that. EMTT clapping for himself. And I'm dare I say, I'm doing the same. Good job, EMTT. That was freaking awesome, actually. Really good for EMTT. So, all

087of our players so far have had three and 0 matches. They haven't even lost a game in these matches. So, >> the Cyber Tigers eating good. >> Yep. Just to just testament to show how good our Cyber Tigers have improved over this season. >> Over all the seasons, everyone's playing. >> That's true. Over all the seasons because Yeah, a lot of our a lot of our Tetrio members have like played in like many have played many different years against a wide variety of people. >> Alrighty. All right. So, you know what's like also awesome? >> What is also awesome? >> Our sponsors such as Adam's Wells. So, a huge shout out to our local internet provider, Adams Wells, Internet Internet Telecom. They are directly responsible for our esports players to be able to compete because

088of their incredibly fast and reliable fiber internet service. If you are in the market for internet or phone service, check out adamswwells.com. That's adamswwells.com. And I will say it is really good that they help us out, especially considering the types of things we do. Online gaming is really important to us. You know, >> it is it is very important. >> Like thanks to them, we're able to compete with all of these schools all over the place. Like imagine how it would be if you had to drive to, let's say, Leville High School for one match and go all the way to Nightstown High School for a different match. [music] It would be it would be a headache to say the least. >> It would absolutely suck. Thank you so much. >> Thank you so much.

089And it looks like we got Jordan aka S RXYXY and Strixie. Dude, that's a huge >> on the left side of your screen. >> And he's going against moderate cape 86. >> That cape is moderate. >> That is a moderate cape. Let's see if Jordan can be better than moderate. Oh, and he's starting off with uh stick spin. I'm pretty sure that uh that is called. And it feels like everyone knows that now. >> Mhm. It used to be all about Pico. >> Oh my goodness. Look, look at the look at the four wide the down stacking from moderate. >> Goodness gracious. Mhm. Doing quite a bit. >> And Jordan even made a cross in the middle. Look at that. >> Look at him. >> He's just making religion. >> He's just making art over

090here. >> Mhm. I mean, playing Tetris in itself is an art. Oh, and speaking of art, moderate cape mastered his art of Tetrio and got a point on Stricksie. >> That is [music] the first Cyber Tiger round loss that we've seen tonight. >> That's true. But Strixie is definitely capable of getting all those points back. I mean, he won the first match. So, let's see. Both of these players are have got to be on their game. They got to be on their toes. They got to know when to stack up and they got to know when to dig down, you know. >> Yep. Seen a T- spin triple and a double from Chrissy already. >> Yes. Lot of stuff. Lot of stuff. And he seems to be doing a 4x5 pattern in terms of his

091stacking again. And it seems to have paid off cuz he's got another point on the board. That's awesome. Yes, that quad gets him up to two to one. He needs one more round off Moderate Cape to move on and survive. >> Yep. Well, Moderate Cape needs one needs two more rounds to win >> Consecutively. He can't drop a game. And he's already in the red. But look at that. Time for him to start down stacking. So Jordan's got to stay pretty low to the board cuz a lot of garbage is going to be sent his way. >> This is roughly the position that moderate Cape likes to be in seemingly. >> Mhm. Oh, Jordan is doing his own version of that. Oh, it seems like he mis drops. Either that or Jordan just sent a

092ton of garbage and he ends up winning. Jordan ends up winning. Congratulations, Trixie. [music] >> Surviving that challenge is Jordan. Congratulations to him. He moves on in bracket. >> Yep. Even when I leave, there's still a Jordan. Absolutely dominating in Tetris. >> There will always be a Jordan dominating in Tetris. >> Yep. The g the name is just the name is synonymous with the game. That's the There's a name of the game and it's Jordan. [clears throat] Now, here we are in the evil bracket. >> Oh my gosh, look how evil. Look at all that stuff being verified. >> Exactly. >> Yep. There's the There's uh there's Hunter's victory and um there's Hunter's victory and uh Clay's victory over there. Just being verified real quick. Notice how they're also three and 0. Pretty crazy over

093there. Got quite a got quite a few people over here. >> A lot of people. And a lot of people over here as well. >> Whoa. That is so crazy. All right, so I think we have one more match for for tonight >> as uh we have we have two. >> Yeah, we have Yeah, we have uh we have Kyle aka Dino Dino. >> Do he decided not to show up? >> Dis Noise did not show up. That is unfortunate. >> This is sadness. Speaking of sadness, the next match is going to be even sadder. Both of these players showed up, but only one will be leaving a winner. >> We are guaranteed to see a Cyber Tiger leave the bracket in just a few short moments. It's like Tribal Council or like any other

094show where you where you know someone's about to die. Like it's very clear like they're having their character arc right now. I'm sure they're exchanging some very nice words in there. >> If I had a violin, I'd be slowly playing it right now. >> Exactly. Mhm. Well, >> if only it was the world's smallest. >> I I might I might save that for after the match. Actually, save the violin playing for after the match. So, >> Mhm. >> All righty. But for now, for now, it seems like um O Sheets is uh O Sheets is playing against X Dark Ninja over there. Ah, heat. the sad drumming music. >> Yes. >> Yeah, it is. It is a shame, but we did know that something like this would happen. >> It's not all fun being a

095magical girl. No one's going to get that reference. >> FS in F's in the chat for Owen. >> Let me Hold on. Let me just a second. Let me pull out my phone. >> Okay, I'll let you pull out your phone. >> Yeah. Uh, here we go. >> Mhm. >> I'll get the I'll get that F. >> Get Get your Fs out. Get your Fs. >> This might be a little bit late. I It's okay. There we go. I sent it. >> There you go. Might as well send mine as well. [clears throat] >> Mhm. >> This is going to look slightly weird. It's It's delayed, so I think we're sending it like before the match actually happened. >> Yeah, it's kind of a shame. >> F. >> There we go. F >> F. Uh

096they might actually take this the wrong way. We're not saying this is Owen's grade for Tedrio. Actually, just in the chat. >> This mean this means that it's sad. This means that we're paying respects. >> We're paying our respects to Owen. Quite a shame, I will say. >> But at least Barlo didn't move on. Anyway, we need to wrap things up. We have a couple more people to shout out before we uh leave. >> That's true. So, why don't I take the honor of shouting out Frederick's Photography?
