Principal of Bluffton High School for uh 26 years, 40 years total in the corporation. And people don't know this, but uh Scott Riich and I are cousins. Cousins uh by our hairdressers. So today people, we have an exciting match between our varsity Cyber Tigers and our Norwell Knights. Norwell is the only team to beat us during the regular season. So we are anticipating this rematch for quite some time. Overwatch competitors are a best of five matches going through the

My my job tonight, Scott, is to kind of inform you and educate you into what we're doing. So, just stick with me. I'll get you through. All right. Our first control map is Elios. Have a lot of students playing at both the varsity level and I guess you call like the club level or that level. And uh so we have a lot of PE people signed up. A lot of kids are interested. We love that. Uh getting kids involved in school. And again, very successful every year, not only individually, but at the team level. I've even come over here a few times and have watched them. Always impressed. You know what I'm impressed with most, Mr. Ribitch? And also just teamwork. I didn't think there was much teamwork, but there really is. And helping out each other and uh there's

009more to it than just playing some video games. So, I'm a fan. Yeah. said this is my favorite game that they do for the um for the esports by far because as you mentioned the teamwork. Yeah. Um again as in football which we're both you know very you know done a lot of you're only as strong as your weakest link in this and if your healer's not healing or your your tank's not absorbing damage or whatever you you know things don't go well. So again, the communication, you guys won't be able to hear them but on the stream, but these kids are constantly con, you know, in contact talking to each other and just like they would on a basketball court or anywhere else, which is definitely cool to see. Looks like they're we're just not able to get anyone off, which they're healers. The healers are kind of the weaker characters. Right now, we're doing a lot of attacking of the big guy right there, the tank. Um, which right now, if you're if you're not doing if you're letting the healers heal the tank, you're not going to ever kill him because he has a lot more hit points. And got 99%. It's uh Yeah, right now it's close. So, we got to control back. So, if we can hold it all the way up to 100 here, we'll be good. That'd be the thing to do.

So, he's got to do damage from afar. And you can't I can't hear him, of course, but you can see him moving. So, obviously he's talking to his other teammates. Yep. Absolutely. And is there usually one person in charge of the team who does most of the instruction? Um, in the past there was. I don't With this team again, last year state, you know, championship team, we've

024got all new guys this year. So, um, yeah, they they're definitely some leaders in that group, but um, Yeah, I'm not sure. I think they take turns calling things out or So, right now teams are fighting for same same idea. You got to get control of the point. I saw a little cruise ship out there. Yeah. Yeah. So, Norwell has control of the point here at the moment. They're coming after our healers, which is a good job that they're doing. We kind of talked about a little bit earlier. Instead of just attacking our high the guys with high hit points like our tanks

025and stuff like that, they went right to our healers. And the two people that got killed right off the bat was Blue Jay and Fish, which were our two healers. They're no longer the the hog character. They've got this character called Winston who just made that little bubble over there. He's kind of an ape who kind of jumps around.
