Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Heat. Hey. Hey. [Music] Hey. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] I like it. [Music] Sorry about that. I'm just excited, Jaden. Yeah, the stream is off to a very good start, but it's okay. Welcome to round three of the quarterfinals of the IHSN Tetrio playoffs. My name is Jaden. I am the captain of the varsity Super Smash team and a support player on the Overwatch team here at the Cyber Tigers Bluffton Esports. With me, very special celebrity guest, Mr. Amstutz, the design and innovation teacher at the elementary school. Welcome. Thanks for having me, Jaden. Super stoked to be here, man. Uh I can't wait to see the games that are happening today. Uh I know they've really been putting in a lot of work on this and it's going to be

a very exciting day today. All school year they've been putting in work. Yes. We have some very good matchups this season. So this season, all seven of our players made it into the top 32 for the regular season to make it into the playoffs. And down to four Cyber Tigers, right? Yeah, we are now down to four Cyber Tigers. Half of our players have been eliminated. Unfortunately, since we have a Cyber Tiger v Cyber Tiger match, we are guaranteed to see at least one go down today. Excellent. Well, excellent. Excellent that that we're able to have this many players here today. That's fantastic. And coming up, we've got the state championship April 28th. Correct. Yes. Excellent. That's very exciting. So, what we've got going on today, this is a single elimination bracket uh that you

can see on the screen. Not right now, but like he will be seen soon. Single elimination bracket. Uh so once you lose, you are out. Yes. High pressure, high stakes today. We're back. All right. Sorry. But yeah, as we were saying, uh this is single elimination bracket. Best of five matches. One will be played for each player today. If anyone here loses their best of five, they are out of the season. So very high stakes can't lose a single game. And we should have the uh the bracket. There's two different sides of the bracket. All right, walk me through the brackets here, Jaden. All right, so this is one side of the bracket. We have three of our four remaining players in it. We have uh one of our matches. I mean, I should probably

introduce the players before I actually say their names. Go for it. That's how we usually uh give them their entrances. Yeah, there's both sides of the bracket. Uh you'll you'll recognize your player if you see him there. All right, there we go. I think it is time to introduce the four Cyber Tigers that are playing today. Everyone's favorite part of the stream. Yes, yes, yes. I'm looking forward to it. The part where they have to lower my mic because I go too loud. there. Perfect. Okay, hit him with a jad hair. Introducing first Barollo aka X Dark Ninja. That was everything I wanted it to be. Nice way to hype up Bartolo there. Uh he tied Jordan for fourth place this year and we'll be facing off against him today in our last Canon event

for the season. If you don't know what that is, it's just our fancy way of saying Cyber Tiger versus Cyber Tiger. Makes sense. Makes sense. Introducing next Jordan aka Stricksie X1. Stricks X1. He tied with Barola for fourth place this season. Can he defeat him today and move on to the state finals? I guess we'll see. We will see. It's going to be a very close match, the Canon event. Probably one of the last of the season, maybe. We'll see. I don't know. Looking forward to that one. Introducing next the favorite to win it all. Number one seed, the captain, the man of multiple gamer tags, Hunter aka Lazy Soul 7, aka also Sugar Lords. Man, how you got to that's a lot of hype there. Well, he ended the season in first place overall

and will be challenging Yeetstroke tonight. Yeaststroke has already taken out two of our Cyber Tigers in the tournament. So, we're looking forward for some justice tonight from Hunter. Can he bring it? I guess we will see. Yeah, captain's got to get revenge for his fallen players. Introducing finally, we have Clay. He also has two gamer tags, aka Firestorm, aka also Nightwalk. Nightwalk. He came in at seventh place for the regular season and tonight is going up against Stalpo, an absolute legend in the IHSN Tetrio League. Very good competitors, crazy matchups we have today. We're going to see some high level stuff straight off the bat. Our first matchup of the afternoon, I think we have Hunter versus Yeetstroke, the revenge match. This is Yeetstroke's third Cyber Tiger of the bracket. Is this not going to

be his last or will it be? We will see. So, Yeetstroke, uh, he already took out two of our Cyber Tigers in the tournament. Yes, he took out EMTT and Owen. Oh, man. All right. Well, hopefully he can um avenge them with this game. Yes, it is time for revenge. Hopefully, we hope that our seed one, our golden boy or the golden goose is going to pull through here. We're not going to start immediately. We have a little bit of a delay now with this uh little added extra pressure there to try to avenge his teammates. What's uh he going to do a little different here? Are we going to see any uh different strategies, different game plays? Um I'm not sure. He I expect the same strategy that's been working for Hunter. If it's

not broke, don't fix it. Yeah, if it's not broke, don't fix it. Maybe he goes a little harder. It is a thing that Hunter does sometimes. He'll take the match like not as seriously. Like he'll go on his phone or start talking to his other Cyber Tigers before a round starts. Maybe since this guy's already taken out two of us, he might take this more seriously. I would hope he's going to be locked in and ready to go with this. Yeah, maybe. Anyway, we got both players in the lobby exchanging their words, and we have our match ready to go. All right, we're on. All right, that's Lazy Soul 7 on the left side of the screen. That is your Cyber Tiger on the left. Root for the left. I've been told to constantly bring

up Howie. We got to root for the left. All right. So, well, for those first time viewers or those that who aren't viewing very often, that is helpful to know which side of the screen to be paying attention to. And as a first time watcher here, there is a lot going on. This is a fast-paced game, Jaden. Yeah. So, Tetris, formerly a very slowpaced uh single player game, you turn it into a battle format by So, every time you clear a certain amount of blocks, it sends garbage, which are the gray blocks at the bottom of your uh board to try to force your opponent to top out. You can do this a number of ways. The most common that we will see tonight are the Tetris line clears, which are clearing four blocks with

a single move, and the infamous T-pin, where you make a T-shaped hole and you spin uh the purple T block into it. I've heard about the T-pin. I want to see it happen. Uh it's been happening. Oh, and I'm already missing it. This is like the grand slam in Tetrio, right? Yeah, that's the that's the big move. So, the T-pin double, it does the same amount of damage as clearing four lines, and the T-pin triple does even more. It is a big move. The most common move you'll see in highlevel Tetris. Hunter was getting up there pretty high. What do you do in the situation where it's stacking up and up and up? Well, you've got to stay calm. You've got to clear get those smaller clears. You got to not prioritize damage, but rather

prioritize getting yourself out of that pit. Sure. That was an impressive move there. He was up all the way at the top. Now he's back down to the first like 25% of the board. That's great. Very good moves. There's a lot of players who would have just lost the round there. But not the golden goose. Not Hunter. I guess that's a new nickname that I've gone for him now. The golden goose. What? Add on a third different tag now. Yes. Let's get another one. Yes. Perfect. Anyway, we got Hunter up 200 right now. He needs one more round win to seal the deal. That's a great place to be sitting, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Hunter's got to stay calm and and like you said, seal the deal here. Yes. Oh,

hold on. Never mind. I just noticed this. It seems that the bracket has gone through a change now that we're in the deeper stages. This is no longer best of five. This is first to five. Oh, okay. Changes things up a little bit. Yeah, a bit of a change there. So yeah, I guess that makes sense. As you climb higher in the rankings of this game, you go from first to threes to first to fives. Okay. So yeah, I guess that makes sense. Off to a great start here. It's looking good for Hunter. He's taking a bit longer to think in some of these uh interactions in this particular round. There's the quad coming through. Both players at about the same spot in the board. Hunter pulling ahead though. There it is. Nice. All right,

he needs two more rounds. He's got a good lead. He's got to keep the pressure up, though. Okay, if you look here, oh, he cleared it and then put a T down there flat. Why did he leave that space open, though? Did it just make sense for the rest of the moves he was going to be doing to follow that? Yeah, I believe so. Sometimes it's it can be set up to like extend into further smaller combos. Oh, like that. Excellent. How many plays do you try to set up for in the future? Uh cuz you don't want to just get one line, one line, one line. You're trying to set up for these big um big power moves, right? Yeah. Well, I've never learned it. There's two different techniques I'd say like higher level

Tetris players use. The one that I like to use is you uh so it's a 10 x 10 board. So I like to build a uh tower that's nine blocks. Meanwhile, Hunter moves on. Congratulations. Yeah, the two techniques I like to make a nine block wide thing and then just wait for the cyan line block to come so I can get the quad because I don't really know how to do the crazy combos in and out of T-pins into more T-pins and the crazy backto-back stuff that a lot of higher levels like Hunter do. All right. Well, congratulations to Hunter. That was an exciting first match to watch there. Yes. Yestroke not taking down another one. Good. I hope the the other Cyber Tigers feel like they were avenged there. Yes, I hope they were.

All right, next up we have Why are the records like that? We have Stalpo versus Clay Firestorm still on the left side of your screen. So, this match has been pre-recorded and pre-played. Oh, yikes. Kind of a spoiler how that one went. Okay. And apparently that one and apparently this one's a best. Apparently this one's a first to three. Oh, this is this is weird. Weird our cursed round. Oh man, Clay just went into the red so quick there. What's Stalpo doing that's causing him to go so quickly? Um just like going quickly because that's just like fast fingers but like doing damage that is he just doing hard drop hard drop hard drop and quickly. Yeah, it just seemed like Clay was almost instantly in the red. Yeah, multiple uh match score is now

one to two in favor of Barlo. Oh believe he did that. He's going to double into a Tetris line clear and that's going to be enough damage. Two to two. very evenly contested matchup. This is an exciting one to watch, man. Of course, you don't want to see one of the Tigers go down. It's It has to happen. So, I'm rooting for both. But, man, this is cool. Yes. Can only imagine the dynamic, the tension in that room right now cuz like the man, it's got to be so thick you can cut it with a knife. Yes. The man who's trying to eliminate you and take you out of your entire season is sitting right next to you and you're talking with him in between rounds as Barlo takes round five. He is up three

to2. Hey, there's still smiles in the room. Looks like they're good teammates about it. Good sports. Either way, they've gone through this entire season, one of which is unfortunately about to end, but they have gone through it together. They're still going to remain friends after this, no matter the outcome. And they are not going down without a fight. Both of these guys are really putting it up there. Back and back. Two to three. Got that hole. He got the another quad clear. Barlo on match point. Jordan needs three rounds in a row to come back from this one. The heat is on. I bet Jordan can feel it in there. They're both moving really fast. Jordan coming explosing explosive out of the gate. He's done four T-pins so far, I believe. Five. Barlo coming back.

Another one of his own. Barollo's got He needs a line block. He's got it. Another quad clear coming through from Bartolo. They're about on the same level on the screen. There's a quad. That's what he needed. A quad could have come through from Bartolo. There it is. He wanted to combo it for a little bit. Very closely contested round. He's got the hole open. Jordan setting up a T-spin. We're told that might have been a mis drop. He's got to combo a little bit to try to get himself lower. Jordan, he wants it. Oh, that's a devastating mis. Oh man, that's really bad. Potential season ending misoprop. How do you recover from that? You just got to get those singles. And you got to hope that Barlo isn't in the position to punish. You've got

to hope and pray. And it wasn't enough. Hey, he hung in there. Barollo and Jordan with a very impressive match. But in the end, Barlo is the one moving on with the 52 victory. Great play to both of those gentlemen. That was great to watch. But congratulations to Bartolo. Well, well done. We started the playoffs with seven. Today we went in with four. We're at two now. It's only going to get harder from here. Well, thank you for watching. We might as well shout out the sponsors real quick. Or maybe not. We're being told to not. I don't know. But I believe that is it. That is all the matches for the evening. We had a good stream. Thank you Adams Wells, The Moose Garage, and Auction It for sponsoring. But thank you so much

for joining us this evening to watch the quarterfinals. We will be back tomorrow at 5:00 pm for the semi-final round of the Overwatch 2 playoffs. Our Bluff and Cyber Tigers will face off against the Norwell Knights in our most anticipated match of the year. I'm looking forward to tuning in to watch that. But for now, Jaden, thank you for having me on and congratulations to those players this evening. You did a fantastic job and can't wait to see what happens next. Yes. Thank you for being here. Thank you, Jaden. Mhm. See you next time hopefully. We just got to wait. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Hey, [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat.
