um our opening item. Um I'm first we're going to stop and take a moment of silence. Um so before we begin, I'd like to invite you to join me in a brief moment of silence. Gun violence moment of silence. And we think we need that now more than ever. This is a remembrance of the lives lost and forever changed by gun violence in our communities and across the nation. Let us honor the memories, stand in solidarity in the film's reading, and reflect on our shared responsibility to build safer spaces for all. So if you rise for a moment, please >> Mr. Please call. >> Mrs. Marley >> here. >> Miss Barnes here. >> Mrs. Ger >> here. >> Mr. Vasquez here. Mr. for here. >> At this time, if you'd like to stand for the

We'll go to section four which is organizational input young student representing them tonight. very happy to say that Sama Alchem Good evening ladies and gentlemen as she said hi I'm Sage Aldrich and I'm the incoming junior at
SL health academy today I'm joined by my mother Amanda Aldidge and my aunt my highlights from this past school year and ongoing school year is that we got to open a wellness room that premed that TTA did this campus in September of this past school year. Um, I got to be the first class to experience the university campus over on Madison and Jefferson and I got to experience that the second round for my junior year in the beginning. Um, and then for this upcoming year, I'm really excited to see that my smarts group progresses and helps make a moral change for my incoming freshman and sophomores. Um my involvement in Prima is that I am a smarts threeear um activist and I am a KOSA which is a serious medical competition surf member and in
that um club I earned two second place regional awards. I was sixth place at states my freshman year and my sophomore year is announced. Um, my future plans after graduating is to be an NFL emergency sideline responder and through premed I get to um experience kinesiology and get more certifications for my major in >> Okay, listen. I don't know how you're going to follow that way. But but by all means, right? I had opportunity to speak to this young lady for a few minutes before the meeting starts and I can tell you that she's extremely she's extremely intelligent and very well. You did a great job. You did a great job and you're going to do great. You are ambitious. You have goals and you just keep on trying my way for the moment. Good
evening. My name is Joanna Weise. I am a parent leader. I'm also a PTO president and one of the short cast business. I have two daughters who are currently in um DPS schools. They have been a Stewart. They're sitting back here. My baby London, my parents. I have a incoming fifth grader and an incoming sixth grader. We are transferring to Hawkins Elementary and we are super duper excited about going to the new school. When we toured the school, we were floored when we went to open house. I was overly inspired by I love the principal, Dr. Winfield. I'm extremely impressed with everything I've seen over here. And I'm really looking forward to the next school year. And right now we are just really trying to stop and enjoy our summer like the rest of you
are. >> Well, thank you so much. Uh we're going to move to Mr. Ramirez. Just want to wish the fathers here a happy belated father's day and hope that everybody fathers, mothers, anybody else has a get some rest over this next couple weeks ahead. Thank you. >> Thank you. I do not see Mr. Mr. Parker here with me. We'll move on to comments by the board. Mr. Pasquez. >> Yeah. Yeah. My only comments are uh just to hear you talk just fantastic. U but I also want to congratulate M and right and you want to thank both for being here. Um, you know, you think about how fantastic our young people are and uh we matter of fact uh I was talking to somebody else about role modeling and and how important that is and
obviously she's had some good role models and uh behind all of our young people are adults and I want to thank them graduating for that and for support so much. Uh then other than that, I just wanted to say uh uh it's already been just beginning a little bit crazy summer. Uh enjoyable weather decent. Uh so just start enjoy being being outside. So um I hope everybody has has a good time this summer. >> Thank you. I would also like to uh start by thanking Sage and just telling you that um just it it's really moving to to hear your speak and sometimes you just never know when that's going to happen. Like oh my gosh, I'm so proud of her. I can understand it. Um but really you need to know that that's all
of us do this and you're the why, right? You're the why we have a board education in my life over here. our parent representative who is always bringing on her um love of TPS and here you are exercising another choice because we are the district of choice and you chose another one of our awesome STEM schools for your gym. So that's pretty cool. I love it. Um another uh just a quick update I thought uh was interesting because now I'm looking at mom and I'm like are you the teachings? >> Are you actually So, so the reason because we're we're like alumni alumni. We're >> okay. I I can't think about you know our I I have replaced Mrs. Barley calling the TPS Foundation board of directors and um we did some strategic planning on
my very first meeting there. saw you on about that and my I've landed on the committee for alumni uh relations alumni development tried to you know really get a handle on our alumni and I just wanted to mention that um the fact that our committee is uh outpacing all the other committees and we really do have a pretty cool plan uh going forward that you know to kind of build up that that base and I wanted to kind of worry about that and so now every time I see an alumni and they were a sufficient of their hour like we got to get to it. We got to get to my you know on the alumni page or something. So, so everywhere I go, I I'm very aware of like who who are the GPS
friends that we need to, you know, make sure we're talking to and talking about. This is multi-generational, right? You're proud of what you're going for and we want to know, you know, so anyway, I I digress. I got a long time. I also just want to mention that I know in July our board committees usually um take at least a bit of a break. Um but with uh the transportation plan and all the school closings uh HR committee will have another working meeting tomorrow. So we're still at it and we will be meeting uh in July um because there's just so much still to do especially on that that side of things. So just you know let you know we're still we're still working in July this particular summer. Thank you. Thank you president. Um
so I say thank you to you all. Definitely talk about that's what I'm talking about and I am so happy to work with you smarts. I just love as a fellow advocate myself especially for mental health. I just love what y'all doing in that space and I hope we can continue to um not only listen but actually work with you. So that's my goal for Sparks as a board member and thank you so much for taking your time to come here and mom for bringing her here this summer. I appreciate it cuz I know summer is busy without a kid that's packed. So so I appreciate that. Um Miss White, you are my heart. uh you know that as a fellow parent of Jay Lab and um just all you do and all the love
you show our kids um and you're just always an inspiration uh as a parent but he gives us proud parent myself to all of you more for our babies I mean you from prom to graduation um you showed up and showed out like always I appreciate you I do appreciate you uh for that because I know it's not easy especially when you have your own and their activities can be still others. So, I just want to say I see you and I thank you so much for a great senior year um for my baby. Um speaking of this is the first time I think my brain is crying right now, but this is the first time been back since graduation. I held it down. I did good. I didn't cry at the end um and
my speech. Uh but I just want to tell you thank you Dr. Grant. Honestly, uh because of the vision you have for TESS, uh the things that you do navigate through um where a lot of people tell uh our students, whether they're zip codes, race, gender, or whatever name thing you want to say, they can't do something, you make sure they're delayed. Um, even with the small class at J Lab, 14 days to have access to business uh tools and educations that adults have never even heard of. Um, my son uh went for his job and he brought his career portfolio and the director was like, I need to do that. I need to get a career. He was he was so impressed. Everybody was actually impressed talking about it. Um, and I was even
impressed by it because I was like, I got to get myself together. So, thank you for your vision and making sure you see our babies being successful even when others don't. And I do appreciate appearance because I live proof why I have TPS because I needed my son and his friends and he's going to be about him. Um, so it's okay. I mean, you know, go, you know, I tried. Um, but I just want to say thank you and and I know sometimes it's hard to smell the roses when fertilizer is in the garden. But I just want to say thank you because that that moment uh and now seeing the success that TPF gave him to continue the thriving part um he is definitely is showing in his his future. Um, and I just
want to say, brother Parker, thank you for just always being a congratulations for me cuz I don't have I did a couple but at Jones I was holding together by thread but I thank you so much for being in the crowd here for me to get out. You go stir crazy. Uh, we're trying to be a parent, have a family members and the board member as well. I do appreciate you all being there. I I love M. Um so this year has been very challenging as we know school year I should say but going to all the graduations um that I was able to attend even the eighth grade graduation I was invited to speak at and commence it really reminds me once again the why so much the why you know and I am
so proud to say yes a lot of people have said no um I will continue to believe that our students um despite what the headlines may say about TPS, our students, our community, our youth. Um, we have some outstanding youth in our community that are doing amazing things daily. Um, and I want to amplify that. Um, Scotch trap team has been cleaning up uh, and no one's, you know, really pay attention. But I'm like, we are future like Hussein boats over here. We not even looking at our ruffy team that's cleaning up. I mean like we have some and not just sports. We have students who are getting full scholarship rides. Uh pharmacy tech license uh right out the gate of high school. We have some amazing students doing amazing things and I I definitely
want to make that louder than the few that have challenges that they have. Um, speaking of that, I want the community because that's an advocate. Um, the community starts talking about what activities for the summer for youth over 13. When you look at a lot of the programs we offer here, um, not kids, but in our community, it usually is about 12 or 13. That's when the funding runs out, unless you are into sports or a specific kind of curriculum like robotics, music, art, things like that. So I I really want to start uh the parents, family members, community members start asking where can our dollars go to give the students something to do during the summer besides have challenges and being get into trouble. Not only get in trouble but you know captains you
know when you end home the put your idol playground something like that is that I don't mind. Okay. I it was be called idol in the church Tuesday anyway. Um, but I just want to really try to push that narrative. We need something for our students to do that is productive and um not tied to one or two things. Uh, the last thing with gun violence in every facet. Uh, this is time for us to get louder and louder about asking legislation for common sense gun laws. um these are these incidents, these these horrible headlines. These these not to stop. It's not just in Toledo. It's not just in Ohio. Um this is across the country. And we just are pushing for competent gun laws. Um, unfortunately our state is not listening to us because
they're talking about giving guns back to uh former uh DV felons, which is very dangerous that a person who's a DV advocate advocate, that is the most dangerous thing they could do. Um, so we need to be louder than the the lobbyist that's paying some of these state elected officials. Anyway, um last but least, please be safe, have fun, and we can't wait to see you back this school year. >> Thank you, Madam President. Um I want to even though most times our retirees are not here, we really want to acknowledge and celebrate our retirees and the over 200 years combined, but this month's retirees are 25 years more. uh Smile. I think it's like on playlist where you hear music, but it's like the same tune same lyrics cuz you heard it from all
of my previous board members. But I am really thankful for you being here during your summer time and really um your excitement, your intentionality is so amazing. It gives us hope uh that we have our students who are working towards really leading and living that purpose-driven life. to hear that you've been doing that into your wonderful mom and just thank you so much for being that cousin to the success of who she is to be coming. Um, Miss White, thank you always for your consistency. It's just always so wonderful to have that parent seat here and you have been very consistent in doing that. We're really excited uh about whatever you continue on as parent representative and giving us the updates because most of us have been in that seat. We understand uh how parents
are important for our district and so your voice is important. Your impact is important. So continue to be great to do that as well. Um I just really just want to say that um this year how many Dr. Grant is it? 13. I made 12 of the 13 graduations uh this year. I I do that by hiding the representation of the board, but I kind of do it for my own personal selfish reasons um because of the fact that we go through so many challenges throughout the school year that I just love the opportunity to see our students who have despite the challenges they champion through achievement. And that is always great to see them getting their diplomas and celebrating and uh our board or members standing up and uh accepting them and all those
great things that take place. What out the state audience? I just love to be a part of that moment for me. It's the most wonderful time of the year to see our students graduate and the joy of parents realizing that this journey, this part of the journey uh has been completed and the future is endless what they desire to become. So again, thank you all so much. Have a safe summer. Um find rest when you can myself. Um find rest every opportunity that you can and enjoy it because before you know it, you might die ahead of you. >> Thank you. Thank you board members. Um I will also send out my congratulations to all the graduates. Um I was a part of five this year. Um, I did my overachiever efforts in the beginning
of my term many years ago and so I'm not going to go to all of them, but I will say that that's when those um, you know, just true pure joy comes in because you see all of the hard work that they've um that they've accomplished and um, their future is so bright and you just get a taste of that uh, in that moment and it's just it's exhilarating. Um I've been able to uh attend some of the uh graduate parties they've invited me to and so I always bring my favorite book uh from Dr. Seville places you'll go and um you know and write a little inscription in there and I think I think I'm grateful right for that I' I've been invited not that I would be invited to all of them my
goodness I'd be broke. Um, but I will say I was able to attend Annie's from premed and you know who I'm talking about. Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Well, yes, we got a book, too. Um, so Andy is uh and and I only bring this up because she's walking into her college at Miami University as a junior at 18 years old. as a junior and um I'm so excited for her and her boyfriend Lance and her brother at Aler like what he's gonna do like be a fireman. Like I I'm just excited. There's so many great things happening at TPS and we don't get to hear all the good stories and the good stuff all the time. Um we you know we hear a lot of negative out there and graduation season just kind of
washes some of that away that negativity and we just we get to feel that positivity and that's that's really at the end of the day uh for me what this this position is about is creating those opportunities for students um to accomplish their goals and create futures. Um, I'd like to congratulate the retirees again. 269 years is nothing to sneeze at. We are um we've had more retirements I feel like this year. Uh, that's a lot of knowledge walking out the door. It's a lot of knowledge and I feel like we're going to have and that's going to have an impact on us uh for sure. So, I I truly congratulate them and I I wish them well. Um, and I'm so thankful that we have a student rep and parent rep here. Uh, it's
always great to see it. Thank you for being here. What I picked up on most though, goals. You got it. Like, you're on it. Um, I'm excited for your future. But I will tell you and and um Miss Perken knows the smarts aspect when you spoke of that is um makes the mother's heart feel a little happy because this board uh made it a central focus to uh create smarts and um fantasy and you guys have taken it and grown and it's just it's exciting to see. It's exciting to see. So, thank you for everything. I look forward to seeing what you are going to do this year in Sparks and what the Sparks group is going to do across uh the district. So, please make sure you keep us informed. And then, of course,
Miss White, I'm super excited for you. You switch schools now. So, I'm sure Hopkins PTO looks like. Okay, we got a live one here. Let's go. >> Oh, well, well, now we know what your son's going to be. So, they will. So, thank you for being here. Surely, we appreciate you. I'm so excited. Um, and then I'm glad Miss G Merkin brought up the foundation because I would love at some point um I I always feel like I I passed the tunnel. I you know, got as far as I was going to go with it, pass the baton to go for the foundation. And I'm excited about what you guys are doing right now, the community structures you're doing. uh at some point maybe you can bring them to a coordinating to give a presentation
on what the foundation is doing, what they're accomplishing, and the goals and and how the board might get the help from that area. Um and then I certainly want everyone to take a moment to relax and have a great summer. Um you know, school will open before we know it, right? Um, and I would be remiss if I did not say a little something about the state. Um, >> no break. There's no breaks for schoolboard members because now we have to deal with policies that we have to put into play that we don't embrac sequence. You know, we've done resolutions. We've called down there. I've made calls to the governor's office. I've done all of those things. I've gone to give testimony. Others have done that as well. And um and yet they slip it
in. They move it forward. And it's really dictating to our parents um how their child can be successful. And I find that offensive because every family is different. There's not one true pathway to success. And um we're going to deal with it, right? We're going to deal with just like we deal with all those policies that we have to deal with. Um but at some point um something's going to have to change. It really is going to have to change. This is it's government overreach yet again. And then I would also bring up just a hint of the financial picture of all districts in the state of Ohio. There are over 120 school districts right now that by 2029 their financial forecast is going to be deficit spending. That's what I know of right now.
I would imagine there's going to be more. How is it that that can be how is it that all school districts are in this position? At the same time, I I feel we need the community to really start asking the questions from the state perspective because um what they're doing at the state is starving public education. That's truly what they're doing at the states. death by a thousand cuts. And um we're not the only ones. We may seem like it because we get into our silos here and we're we're focusing on what the media saying. We're focusing on what is going on school closures. Um we are not the only one. We are one of hundreds of districts that are in this position right now. Um and I don't I don't know about any of
you, but I never want to go through what we just went through. most districts it takes them a year and a half to do what we did in less than six months. So, it's been a lot. We need a breather uh from this before we we start moving forward. But I do I would like our community to really start paying attention to what is going on in Columbus and questioning our representatives. So, with that, I'm going to move on. May I just say something is that they just gave they had to give $1 billion in vouchers this school year. Just to put that out there or extra million, excuse me. Yes, you're right. Yes, they and we still have not paid off all the vouchers. Just saying. And most of those families once again make
the average of uh the four of household the poor can make up to 200,000 to still qualify for a full ride or voucher. So just wanted to put that out there. No, I I I appreciate the discussion because if we look at it, the state is um they are spending less dollars on public education, more dollars on vouchers and more dollars on charter schools. Yes, >> because there's no moratorum. Anybody can pop up a chart school and there's there's no real accountability measure. Um, you know what? I'm the fire. We're going to move on. Uh, because we could absolutely uh talk about those topics for hours. All right. Section six is the consent agenda. Agenda items 6.01 through 6.28 to eight are the consent agenda items and the board members name and request to pull
and either consent and move to the discussion section of the agenda. Item 6.01 to 6.05 is human resource committee the chair's colle.06 to 6.18 is budget and finance stabilization and operations committee chair Vasquez co-chair myself. 035>> Thank you. Section seven of the agenda consists of reports and minutes from this month's committee meetings and are here for information and reference. No action is required. So we can proceed to section eight of the agenda. It looks like there are no discussion items for this month. Is that correct? All right. We'll move to section nine walkins. Are there any walkins this evening? Great. Moving on to section 10 education action items. Chair Barnes co-chair the third. I'm going to turn it over to Miss Barnes. Mr. B. >> Uh yes. Uh this evening I have four uh different items that I'm asking for your approval. Uh you will have to vote on them individually. So I'll go through them one at a time if you like. Our first item is uh for the East Family
Center renew our contract. It will go from July through December. that will enable it to be in tune with the grant cycle itself and at that point then we would love to do a yearly contract. Would you like to go through all four at one time or go through them one at a time? >> Let's just do one time. >> Okay. So that's number one. That is 10.01. >> Okay. 10.01. The requested motion uh to approve the east little family center contract. >> So move has been moved and seconded. Any discussion? Treasures over the role. >> Mr. Bartley. Yes, >> Miss Barnes. >> Yes, >> Mr. Ken. >> Yes, >> Mr. Vasquez. >> Yes, >> Mr. Parker. >> Yes, >> 10.02. >> Okay, thank you for your action. Uh 10.02, the district as part of
our Head Start award received additional COLA uh dollars this year. So 10.02 would be to give our one of our delegate delegates, the Great Lakes Community Action Agency, their share, which is $14,816. >> Thank you. I'd like to request a motion to approve the JLCAP amendment. >> So move second. >> It's been moved and seconded. Any discussion? Treasure, please roll. >> Mrs. Farley, >> yes. >> Miss Barnes, >> yes. >> Mr. Ger, >> yes. >> Mr. Vasquez, >> yes. >> Mr. Parker, >> yes. >> Thank you for that. 10.03 is for cola award for our other delegate, uh, the Lucas County Family Council, which is $8,330. >> Okay. I'd like to request a motion to approve the LCF CE amendment 2026. >> Second has been moved and seconded. Any discussion carrying on treasure, please call
the role. >> Mrs. Farway, >> yes. >> Miss Barnes, >> yes. >> Mr. >> Yes. >> Mr. Mitch, >> yes. Mr. Parker, >> yes. >> Thank you for that. And finally, 10.04. Uh, we had several items including a roof, uh, transportation that were budgeted that came in under budget. So, I am asking for the Head Start carryover request for those funds to be used for this coming. >> Okay, great. I'd like to request a motion to approve the Head Start carryover request. So, move >> second. It's been moved and seconded. Any discussion? Treasure, please call the role. >> Mrs. Barley, >> yes. >> Miss Barnes, >> yes. >> Mr. Gman, >> yes. >> Mr. Mr. Parker, >> yes. >> Thank you for your action. >> Okay. Thank you very much. Section 11 of the agenda
consists of early childhood educational reports and minutes from this month's committee meetings and are provided for your information and reference. Uh no action is required. So we can proceed to section 12. And are there any early child education? >> No. Okay. We're going to go to section 13 through 15. Uh Dr. Durant in comments please. >> Yes. again uh 13 graduations of the you know or recall that one of them was Rogers uh through manage went on to serve in armed forces literally had to be deployed day before graduation uh that ceremony was was hard touching uh to see how they shut that up as formal possible and uh their family really appreciate that pretty bad had his first graduation as well so uh I think you're going to be what the second graduation class
>> third Okay. Well, there you go. So, you'll be in a long legacy of history uh premed Academy. And so, when she speaks of the host of competition understand, they are number one in Northwest Ohio in competition, meaning they have finalized 61 medals. The second place team only 30. Uh in the state competition, they finished number one, received the most medals out of all schools was in the state of Ohio. uh all the ones behind them were welcome and suffered uh finishing behind our premed science camp they have in that field. So kudos to you cuz you've seen she was on display today. Uh I don't think any of us after ourselves we can speak to that magnitude about our lives back at her age. I don't think we could be a mom and aunt
congratulations to you. I know you can be nothing but more proud when you sit and listen to someone who takes control of their education, control their future and at the end of the day know how come to them and take advantage opportunities and resources here at GPS. Uh with that said again congratulations to our track athletes. You saw Scott finish in the relay number one in the state along with uh Tom uh they are going on to the national along with Morgan at at Woodward. Understand Morgan has never done the item came out of nowhere was a natural. So just to be able to have the body mechanical she was just a natural and so she got to the national just as well. Uh but we're excited. We appreciate our elected officials who brought her
down to Columbus to recognize both God as well as her uh her accomplishment. And so again we're wrapping up summer school already. Uh we've gotten that quick into the summer. Uh so we continue to move forward and continue to move that and uh communicate be ready for another great year. So we can't have a great summer. Keep that proud. >> Thank you. >> All right, Mr. Sexual Teeth, >> your official last meeting. >> I just want to thank you for the trust and support that you guys are showing me. privilege to work with a board that is so committed to the students we serve that we went through a lot of success and challenges just keeps us proud. We've got a lot of good memories. does a lot of good work. But as I retire,
I thank you for making me miss my last chapter. And I'll always be guest proud. It's always been a privilege and I'm honored to ser and we're actually going to get a picture with Mr. um but we're going to go ahead and board members. Any last comments? >> Um I I guess the only last comment I have is I want to congratulate to Mr. Sexual retirement. Uh and I uh well I throw back to you uh Ryan that uh what a pleasure it's been working with you so closely on the finance committee and um uh as the people have referenced we've had some some pretty tough times and uh I have personally besides our our regular meetings I personally called you and made specific specific request of you uh throughout those times uh asking for
some of your personal commitment beyond what people see in meetings and so on. And uh you always you always kept that your your man of integrity uh you pleasure to work with your professionalism is beyond what I think people can can expect. So, I just want to thank you and I want to tell you truly miss um because I always count and a lot of people don't realize it but calling you at night, calling you on weekends, calling you on the holidays, uh calling you on vacations and so I'm sure that the next treasure will be glad to do the same. Um, I I have to tell you, Brian, you you're always there. Always there. And I want you to know how much I appreciate that and uh the kind of perspective you gave back
to us. Great. Appreciate it. So Ryan, um I guess I've been on the board long enough now that I have two freshs. Um it was the first big job we had as new new board members. I always like to remind folks that 30 days before Mrs. Barwig and I and another board member took office, the previous board hired Dr. Durant. And I was like, you know, wait a minute. You got a brand new board coming out in 30 days. Why don't you let us hire him? Right. But it wasn't long before we had to hire treasurer. So, um, you know, I've just learned so much from you and really, uh, appreciate your tenure here and and honestly truly, uh, wish you well into retirement. I know you have so much that you're looking forward to
doing and, you know, so your family and this young niece and nephew that you're, you know, so close to. So, I just know that you're, you know, you're going to love not getting that uh that drive every day and just being close to your family. So, I really really appreciate your time with us. Um, I thought kind of that it was your last meeting until that moment like, "Oh my gosh, my gosh, it really is this last meeting. We're going to But I I see that our finance committee did you continue to help for a couple months." So, that's that's very interesting, too. I do want to make a comment on something that was in our consent agenda. um that we just authorized implementation of the three- tier transportation and belime system for the 2728
school year. I think um the silver lining in that uh the fact that we are going to be doing it this school year is that parents and child care organizations and uh everyone else that impacts have plenty of time to you know to plan for it and really get implemented. And I know it's too early to start, you know, the all the communication uh on that topic, but I think the effect that it's coming just to continue um to say it's coming. It's coming, right? So people aren't um scrambling is going to be um is is going to be a bonus, I think. Um and then just looking for a committee home for that transition. I imagine it's going to be is transportation usually in finance committee. So science committee will make sure they're getting
a quick look at that and then I'm sure in curriculum it to the effect to the extent that it impacts programming like you know earlier programming or different uh uh things that are going on you know classroom wise we'll also get brief along the way for how that's going to um affect academics. So um coming soon and free is your bus schedule. Thank you. >> Thank you, Madam President. I just want to say to all staff members and Ryan, thank you for real for uh just being patient with me. Um when I got it again 3 months later, we had CO. So that was nothing that the books that they gave us prepared for. Um, but each staff member their own way said, "Okay, what we can't do is what we can't do." Uh, Ryan,
you took your time cuz I was like, "You know, this whole thing we should do like we shouldn't." But I thank you for that because you broke it down. You didn't say yes or no. You actually told why yes or no. Um, and even if I push back, you broke it down a little bit more. So, I I do appreciate taking time with me. Um, and I think what people don't understand is when you are able to assist different learners, right, that's a skill. Um, and I saw that in you. You were able to break it down for each of us in our different learning capabilities of what accounting, finance is in this in this ramp of school funding. Um, so I do appreciate you taking your time doing that. Um, but also to just
the staff period in TPS, the ones who have told me something or the ones who have uh told me history of something or advocated for something with me. I just want to say thank you so much because once again um you were you are what they see yes you know the family the children get death but staff members doing what they do um because of love uh for youth for the future for education um you are what makes CPS proud and I want to say thank you to all this happen thank you Ryan um I finally be like this is called Ryan or this is Ryan to help So, we love Ryan with me. Y'all can talk about me. I I have asked you permission. Um, but I do appreciate you taking your time with
me. Um, and once again, I just want to say I am so excited for the future because a wise man don't resist the price opportunity to present itself. So, I'm going to go with that and say once again, be safe, have a good Thank you, M. I just want to say that's the most I've heard in a long time. But I really am thankful because I too was a part of the hire this um that I was born a few months later because guess who's back where but I'm thankful for this moment and you know honestly be a part of this out of all the words that I can think of only two words come to my mind that's thank you. uh when I looked at you and how you helped like Miss Mar said
like you've helped put the number and explain it to me to where a child understand I really appreciate that and my last thing is thank you for being softspoken tech this time and so we appreciate you know that um you you have served us and you've done um everything to the best of your ability and is shown by the success financially of the awards and things of such that TPS uh received over the years and you know as we close this chapter and open a new chapter uh will continue to operate TPS proud in this area of finances to the best of our ability. Thank you for your time. A couple months ago, your name died. So, thank you, God. Appreciate it. >> Wow. Ryan, where do I start? Um, you are making me feel
proud, right? So, I am um appreciative uh I know in this show I know I can challenge different times um but I am so appreciative of your willingness to sit down and talk about the situation, the financial outlooks, um the crazy folks down in Columbus, um and the impact that they're having on us. And I just appreciate very plain spoken um you know because not everybody gets full finance. It's a it's a tough gig and you have left your mark on TPS for sure uh in the most positive way regardless of the financial challenges that we experience. Um you've left a positive impact and so I thank you for that. I'm happy for you that you get to go spend time with grandb babies, right? That's uh that's the good stuff. Uh so I'm very
happy for you, but we are truly masculine. Truly. Don't change your number cuz I'll be okay with that. Uh we're going to go to section 16, which is adjournment. Do you have a motion?
