Um, the board will enter into executive session at 5:35 to discuss employment, discipline, and compensation of public employees as per the board of education policy number 0167.2A. Do I have a motion? So, moved by Mrs. Egan, >> second by Mrs. Travis. Any discussion? >> Okay. >> Mrs. Egan? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Travis? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Hamilton? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Davis? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Crawford? >> Yes. We are now in executive session. We will return back um at 6:30. Thank you. at 6:33 p.m. Do I have a motion? >> So moved. >>
002Moved by Miss Egan. >> Second by Miss Hamilton. >> Mrs. Eaggan >> here. >> Mrs. Hamilton. >> Here. Mrs. Travis. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Travis. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Davis. Yes. >> Mrs. Crawford. >> Yes. All right. And if you're able, can you please stand for the pledge of allegiance? >> I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. All right. Um, we need to do a addendum, right, for the approval for October charger minutes still or >> November. It is added to the agenda. >> It was added. Yeah. Thank you. >> All right. Thank you. >> All right. Good evening to all of our parents, students, staff, and community members. Thank you
003for joining tonight. Um our um this evening we will be able to recognize two important groups. Our students who represented Twinsburg at the OSBA student achievement fair on November 17th in Columbus and then our vice president, Miss Tina Davis, um who has faithfully served the district for 12 years. We are grateful for her leadership and dedication to our students and staff. Um, the wait is finally over and the recount results are in. Congratulations to Leah Travis who won the recount and will continue in one of the three available seats along with myself and Marishia Rush. So, congratulations and welcome to Marisha. Thank you again to Kelly Avichi, Joe Rebe, Chris um, Kesca and Mark Wesner for stepping up, running strong campaigns and showing their commitment to our district. Um the board has important work ahead
004and we appreciate everyone who participated in this process. Last month the district received a notification of potential deficit letter from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce ODW. I want to reassure the community that this letter does not declare Twinsburg to be in fiscal caution, fiscal watch, or fiscal fiscal emergency. According to the ODEW, the district's forecast shows a potential deficit in um fiscal year 2028 of around 700,000. Districts in this situation are sometime informally referred as to precaution districts, meaning ODW is working with us before any formal oversight is triggered. The purpose of the process is to help districts develop a plan to avoid the projected deficit, not to penalize them. This means they are working with us before any formal steps are taken with the goal of avoiding any deficit entirely. One message
005that is important to our community to hear clearly is that your board, treasur's office, and administration team have already reduced the projected deficit significantly from over $8 million down to roughly 700,000 from earlier this year. This reduction is reflected in the fiscal year 26 forecast in the ODW notification showing projected deficit of 730 negative730,243 after all costs saving measures. Key actions that contribute to this major improvements include the retirement incentive buyout implemented a targeted retirement incentive across fiscal year 26 of fiscal year 28. approximately $1.9 million in savings identified through retirements and unfilled positions. Five retiring positions that was not replaced, creating long-term structural savings, and we had about 15 teaching positions that we only hired at a step five or below. Um, we had 36 positions that were reduced in earlier years, saving about
0061.7 million annually, and these reductions permanently lowered salary and benefit obligations. Um, this year the district has already taken actions to reduce non-instructional spending, including printing and paper reductions, lower use of thirdparty vendors, reduce attorney fees, reduce travel and conference costs, and cuts to online tools and consulting services. These savings were incorporated into the revised 5-year forecast submitted in October and directly improved our financial standing. We have already taken significant steps to protect our district's financial health and we are committed to continue this work as we move through the next budgeted cycles. Our next finance committee meeting is December 17th where we continue to do a deep review of district spending, evaluate new revenue opportunities to consider adjustments to maintain stability. We appreciate everyone on these committees on their thorough work and commitment to our
007transparent communication with our community. As a board, we along with interimm superintendent Marlo and our treasurer are already reviewing spending, identifying ways to reduce costs and exploring opportunities to increase revenue from the district. Over the last two weeks, we held several in-person groups, focus groups with staff, students, parents, and community members to give more people a chance to participate. We also hosted additional virtual focus groups this past Monday. We continue to work um closely with finding leaders for our superintendent search and applications for the superintendent will be accepted through the end of January. Um if you happen to know anyone who will be a strong fit fit, please direct them to finding leaders um directly. Um there was also um ongoing discussion in the community about the clear book packs at the high school. It
008was communicated on Monday that students may continue to use clearbook packs. The policy is not changing with the clear book bags and lockers remain optional. Assemblies were held this week at the high schools to clarify expectations and answer students questions. And then there is a lot of positive activity happening across our buildings. Holiday shops, spirit weeks, concerts and winter activities are underway. Congratulations to our orchestra for having a wonderful concert. Our show choir will take the stage next week as long as with our band and athletics are in full swing. Our varsity boys had a big win at the season opener last Friday. Um, a special shout out to our senior wrestler Baron Grant who placed fourth at 57 pounds at the Independence North Coast Classic this past weekend. And then this Friday, if you
009can come out and support our Tigers, our girls varsity basketball team will be playing at 6:00 p.m. Our Bucks game will be immediately following that. And then the boys varsity game will be at 7:30 p.m. We hope to see you there to show Tiger Pride. And again, exams are coming up. There's a lot of different activities, so help support any way you can. Thank you. Um, again, and that's the end of my president's report. >> Thank you, President Crawford. Thank you, Board of Education members. Welcome everyone. Uh, I want to begin. We had a a a great representation at the OSBA conference this past November. We had 11 student groups represented Twinsburg at the fair and we're proud of each and every one of our students and staff who represented Twinsburg. I want to thank
010Mrs. Crawford for her leadership. She is the OSBA schoolboard liaison and she was critical in allowing our students to participate in this fair and we really appreciate all of her support. Again, we were able to send 11 groups down and we have groups here today that are going to talk about their experience. And we are going to start with our Black History Club and Mr. Silverthornne is going to assist us with that. We're gonna have the kids come up. They're gonna do a presentation, a little presentation, talk about their experience and we're going to rotate the groups through. Again, we had 11, which is really outstanding. I think more than anyone else. >> Yes. >> By far. >> Yes. >> Welcome. You can go right up there to the mic. Introduce yourselves. and tell us
011about your experience at the at the fair. >> Yeah. >> Good evening. My name is Tia Carter. >> Who do you >> I'm Ricky Abdullah. >> I am Sean Juul. >> And I'm Jada Amos. >> And we represented Black History Club at the student achievement fair. And so half of our club's experience is different. Um me and Reggie we have experienced the um not the club the fair for the past two years and this is their first time. So on my behalf the experience of the club both or of the club of the fair both years I really enjoyed it and I feel like it really shone a new light on the different clubs there and especially on Black History Club. I feel like we were very like appreciated and I love like all the
012questions people asked us and the adviserss coming up to us and the pictures that we took. It like made us feel really appreciated and I really enjoy like the different diversity of clubs that were there. Also, both years, both years there are performances from different schools and I really like that. It like added a new element to the fair and I also like the like the difference of like all the clubs there. Like some clubs were similar, yes, but a lot of them like from electronic clubs to artsy clubs, cultural clubs, like really anything. It really like made everybody feel appreciated and I really loved the experience that everybody had there. >> Before you speak, we're going to have you flip so that you can get picked up on the video. >> Yeah. Turn around
013so everybody can see you. >> We want to see you, but we want we can hear you. >> You can go this way. We're going to flip the mic for you. >> Flip the mic. Okay. >> We move the podium. Flip it around. You can turn the mic around. >> You go round up. There you go. >> There you go. >> Hello, my name is Ree Abdullah. I'm a senior in uh Swissburg High School and I have been a freshman um in the Black History Club. I've been all four years in the Black History Club and um each year I can tell that it has improved um a lot and especially last year, my junior year um was our first showing for the Columbus Achievement Fair and um Miss Johnson has started this club since
0142007. So, you can just you can imagine how much we've improved as a club. Um diversity is that we've strived to achieve as a not only a club but as a school as well. And just the Columbus Achievement Fair alone, it gives us the um not the chance to express our diversity as a school, but it also allows us to show our how much we uh celebrate black excellence and empowerment. >> All right. Hello, my name is Sean Juel. I joined Black History Club my junior year and now I am a senior. This year was my first time going to the the Columbus Achievement Fair and I just love to see all the different types of clubs and even if some of the clubs were like the same, they still worked in their own unique
015way depending on their school. It was great seeing that you know even at other schools that people are coming from all different shapes, sizes, backgrounds, ethnicities. It was great to see everybody. Um the officials, you know, they were all kind and accommodating to everyone. We had a great booth. Everybody was kind. and I think it was overall a great great event. >> Hello, my name is Jaden Amos. This is my second year to Twinsburg, although I am a senior. Um, so this is my first time going to the fair and I just love seeing all the different clubs and just from like everywhere in Ohio that's just showing what they love to do. Um, I love how I also saw another Black History club down in Athens. I love how like Black History is everywhere
016in Ohio. Um, I love how everybody can just like put on a little performance and like just show show off themselves, show off their school, their club. I think that was really cool. Um, for our club, we got people coming up taking pictures, asking questions about our club. I love how people are interested. Um, just learning about like black history, just something that I think everybody should do, and I love how people were able to come up and ask us questions. And then just to close it off, I really do appreciate this experience and the chance to have our club showcased. Um, I've been in Black History Club since I was a freshman. I'm now a junior and I really appreciate like not only the experience for Black History Club to be showcased, but just
017for the learning experience of every club and every um group that was there. I really like that other people were also like allowed to showcase what they do and it was not only just a learning experience but also like a chance to grow as a club and as a state. >> Thank you. >> I do want to note that three years ago when they first attended the um OSBA conference, no no other schools had heard of the Black History Club. So I think they inspired other schools to start that. So >> Good job guys. >> Now we're going to have our blue diamonds. >> Yeah. >> Good evening everyone. Um, my name is Elise Jones. I am one of the coaches um for Blue Diamonds. Um, I stand beside Tanya Johnson and Melie Spencer. Um,
018this is our second time um or second year, excuse me, that we attended the fair. Um, it's a great experience for the girls. They look forward more than just a day out of class or a field trip. Um, this is a time for them to share the culture of what actually H.B.CU is. And it's such a great experience to see the young youth network together. Um you see them mingling, having conversations. Um we weren't the main spotlight of the event, but they had the opportunity to dance. Um and just to share that with everybody, it was it's always a great experience for that. Um for those that are unfamiliar with um Blue Diamonds, we are HBC. Studio H.B.CU style dance team. We usually perform, basketball season is our season, but we do perform one or
019two games um during football. Um we have been invited this year to Cleveland State University. Well, we do uh perform during one of their halftime games. So, we I look forward to the years to come. Um I want to thank the board of education for allowing us opportunity to share um this experience for the girls. I'm excited for the next years to come for that. So, you know, be on the lookout for us. Hi, my name is Annayia Jones. This will be my fourth year sadly of being here. I am a senior and I am captain for Blue Diamonds and being at the achievement fair was a really good privilege that we've had for two years. It really shows that our school is a little different than other schools and we've expired other schools to
020also have dance teams. Um, Solen currently started a dance team um like I say like two two years ago after seeing us. Um, and also me and my girls just walking around seeing other clubs is like really different. It's like, huh, that's really creative. TW I feel like TW should, you know, start that. Um, just it's like I really enjoyed being there. And you get to like like collab with other schools and stuff and talk to them about their experiences. And there was one one girl came out to our group. She really wished that she had a dance team like this at their school. And I was like, "Oh, that's really nice um to have." So yeah, I really appreciate um our team and opportunity of you know being here and also going to the
021student achievement fair. >> Thank you. >> Oh, okay. Oh, you're good. Thank you. >> Thank you. Now, we have members from our BUDS program. Hello everyone. Um my name is Rahana Boss and this is Ava Banic and we are representatives for the BUDS club at ths. So BUDS uh stands for building understanding and developing social connections. It's a club where we aim to um branch out and you know build connections with social uh students with special needs. >> Um so building an understanding of differences through social interaction is our mission and also creating inclusive high school experiences for students with disabilities and building understanding and meaningful social connections. So um our president is Kayla Salera. I'm the vice president along with Kayla Dao and Ava here is our secretary. Our leadership team is made up
022of Taylor Humber and Hi Saker. And then our staff advisers are Mrs. Todd and Mrs. Socrates. >> Um so for leadership and vision it's a student-driven leadership committed to inclusivity. Um we are creating opportunities for social engagement for students with disabilities. Um we're also breaking down barriers between students with and without dis um disabilities. And then we're also empowering students to build genuine connections. >> So we run multiple events um within the school like one of them is like the buds brunch. So here we try to build life skills and like a sense of community within the students. So this happens almost every quarter um during second block and students from all classes can come and they can participate. We practice cooking and life skills. We interact. Um we ran a scavenger hunt for our
023fall brunch and we just play board games and we just have a fun time. Um here are some pictures from our last one. So as you can see we're cooking, playing games. Uh we're dressed up for our Halloween one which was very fun. >> Okay. And then every year we do a buds Thanksgiving where all the students cook for it. So this year we had 45 peers who part participated in the event. Um all the students cooked and prepared the feast together creating a collaborative cooking experience for everyone. And then it just demonstrates student commitment to inclusion and celebrates community and friendship. And then here's some of the pictures from the Thanksgiving party. >> So, most recently, a few I think this was this Friday, we had our BUDS district winter party. It was a
024pretty big deal and it was pretty fun. Um so basically we invited um the special needs students from kindergarten up till 8th grade to come and we we worked with the special needs students in at the high school to create events um that were fun for uh everyone. So we ran we ran crafts, we supplied snacks and create activities and uh we had uh a special guest um start like someone who ran storybook yoga uh where it was like in a room and we laid down yoga mats and we had all the students just practice yoga. So it was actually pretty fun. And then uh we had Santa and Mrs. Claus come as well. Uh our Mrs. Claus is here actually. There we go. >> Um, so yeah, that was very fun. So here are
025some more pictures from that. You can see us running the story in the middle. Um, and then Santa and Mrs. Claus. >> Earlier this year, we also did a Buds tailgate um for school spirit and social connection. So it was before one of the football games and it was open for Buds members, peers, and all their families to come. We had pizza and games and other snacks, music, and we all like play together. Um, and it builds school community spirit. And then also all the students that were at the buds tailgate, we're all encouraged to then go to the football game together after. >> So now, this is a pretty big event that we have coming up and I encourage you guys all to attend if you can. This is this Friday. Um the boys
026and the girls basketball teams have a double header against Nardonia. And in between after the girls basketball game, uh there will be a time where we are going to run a Buds basketball game against the Nardonia. Uh they have their version of a Buds club. So we're going to run a basketball game in between the girls game and the boys game. So we're going to try, this is our first year running it, and we're going to try to make this an every year thing. Um, so we've already we created like a Buds basketball shirt for students in the student section to come buy and wear. Uh, so we've raised $700 through those shirt sales and those uh $700 are going to go towards our Special Olympics. Um, so we're going to run obviously the basketball
027game. Uh, we are running crafts like we're selling crafts and 50/50 raffles. >> Um, one of our other events is a district dance support. Um, so it's a spring dance and all the buds uh volunteer to help run the spring district dance. So some of the roles are food service, face painting, dancing and being dancing partners and it demonstrates leadership and community involvement and we just had all kinds of music, a DJ and all the students were encouraged to dance and on the floor together. >> Um, so towards the end of the year and around May we have our special Olympics. This is honestly the biggest event uh we come together at Ardonia uh at like their football field and a bunch of schools all around like Cleveland come uh and we they just uh
028run track events and we just sort of are there to help them, support them and honestly just build as many connections as we can and it's just fun for like the kids just go out and you know like be uh like involved athletically and just having fun with everyone. You get to meet a ton of new people and it's just it's very fun. So, our uh the sales from our Buzz basketball game, the shirts are going to go to uh making this as fun as we can. Some of the impact and future goals we have are creating meaningful social experiences, um, breaking down social barriers, promoting understanding and friendship, expanding inclusive opportunities, and inspiring other schools to also do the same thing with their students. >> So, that's about it. Um I would like to
029add in uh so this is basically what we presented at the achievement conference and that was a very fun uh experience where we got to share what we did while also like understanding what other clubs around Cleveland and Columbus do as well. So I just would like to thank you guys for making this possible and yeah any questions? >> I don't know. >> Thank you for coming. Awesome. Thank you. Thank you. >> Outstanding. Thank you. >> Now, we're going to move on to our drone club. >> There you go. We obviously we had a lot of representation at the OSBA student. >> Hello everybody. This is the ths drum club. We inspire in our club to race against each other and against other schools. And eventually, we hope to eventually get to a point where
030we can race at the National Tech Conference that is located down in Texas. We usually meet around at 4:00 every week on Thursday and we practice flying drones and building new skills and having fun. Hello everyone. My name is Caleb Epley. As a freshman at Twinsburg High School, I was asked to give my perspective of the drone club and its activities. I would like to thank the school board for giving our club this opportunity. I really enjoy being a part of their drone club, especially as my interest in drones. continues to grow along with the many career paths connected in this field. As a freshman, I appreciate how this club opens many doors to future career possibilities while also connecting to our own personal interests. The experiences and events I have seen us participate in
031provide valuable exposure that can help students explore both their own personal interests and potential occupations. I am grateful for this club and hope it continues for many years to come. Thank you. Hi guys, my name is Aiden Carroll. Um, I am the co-president as well as Sam Egan over here who's also co-president. Um, my uh experience at the OSHA uh convention in Columbus, Ohio. Um, we actually prepared a table that uh had all of our personal owned uh drone club items uh all across and we had a custom uh tablecloth that said drone club on it and ths and we were representing ths. We also created uh shirts as you see on us right now. Um that actually uh made us look more presentable and more professional. Um and we showed off a little bit
032of drone flying actually and gave a little bit of live demonstrations and flew through some gates that we all held up. Hi, my name is John Blast. I'm also part of the drone club. Um throughout the event we rotated in teams of two and three through like explaining what our club does and answering different questions and also showing like what drones that we have there to show people. And then we also had moved into like spaces throughout the event to show people like flying the drones through like circles and stuff and it was all all around like a really good experience. So, we're now going to demonstrate um flying a drone. It's a real small drone. So, >> fat baby. >> It'll be pretty. >> Oh, so cute. >> It is less than paper. Uh
033sorry, excuse me. Less than the weight of a paper. Um it is fully enclosed in the propellers, meaning it cannot cut, it cannot harm, it cannot hurt. Okay. Um one cool thing about this is can go up to 30 miles an hour, which is pretty fast for this tiny little thing. Um, the average price of these little drones are roughly $120, give or take, which sounds like a lot in today's world, and it is. Um, however, these small things, they don't break that often. Okay. It is very uh maneuverable, very fast, very interesting. It is personally indoor considering it is such a light drone, but you'll see how maneuverable it is because it can just do this. >> Wow. >> Moving it away from our >> from our visitors. I appreciate that. Are the drones
034weatherproof? Like, should you use them when it's like clear and not raining or snowing or anything? >> So, there is certain drones that are in fact weatherproof. This one specifically is not due to it being an indoor drone. However, this kind of demonstration, again, I apologize for such a a rash move. Um, but I I am professional pilot. I do I am sponsored by a company. Um, I also do this kind of thing just for fun, just a race. Um, but I'm actually ranked 60th in the world out of 30,000 pilots. >> Oh, wow. >> So, >> I have a little bit of experience under my belt to consider myself a professional. But thank you guys so much for the awesome opportunity that you guys all have given us, especially the board. And my friend
035Sam here is going to land it. >> Thank you. Thank you. You know, I also want to add um if you go on our focus channel, um Sam here did a um drone activity. I don't know all the professional ways to say this, but at the Macedonia lighting ceremony of their Christmas lights, uh there is a fantastic I was like blown away watching this. Um Sam's drone did the overview of the Macedonia lighting ceremony. So if you can catch that on the focus channel, that's what these guys were doing. They were very impressive at the convention. Everyone came around just to watch them do their do their little tricks and things. They were very, very good. But you want to catch that on the focus channel if you get a chance. And just want to
036say too that at the OSBA conference um I was um contacted by email um that they want the drone club to um participate in a competition. Um I believe there was like a whole bunch of different offers that was made during the um compet uh during the conference. So they had a lot of exposure and opportunities come out of this experience. So thank you. >> Thanks. Thank you. >> Thank you, Mrs. Houston. Now, would like a reinactive media club? >> I don't have that ability, but Don't worry about it. >> Hi. >> Hello everyone. My name is Angela Jackson >> and I'm Patrick Corvettes >> and we are representing um the class of interactive media. Um so when we went to Columbus um it was very fun to Wait, can you see this? this up.
037Um, when we went to Columbus, we are very grateful that um that we were chosen, it was very fun. Um, we got to look at all the different companies and um different stations that they had. An example of one was Korean barbecue and it tasted so good. I'm not going to lie. Um, we also got some things such as pens and candies. So yeah, we're going to tell you a little bit more about the class and what we do. >> So mostly what we do is we do the school's news, but there's a first level program. So you learn how to edit, how to do motion graphics in interactive media. This is like our first level program for students. Um freshmen can join, anybody can join and they learn how, like I said, how to
038edit the news. They know how They eventually learn how to do interviews like like this is such a fun program to do. You even anchored like you know Fox News. Um whenever I thank Mr. Curtly here for you know elevating this program to what it is now because before it wasn't as good and when he came in it just got so much more higher quality upgraded and the software we use Adobe. It's a very high level quality software. Like whatever your guys' favorite TV shows, maybe The Office, we use that exact program what Hollywood uses. Um, same thing with motion graphics, After Effects. It's such a cool program. >> Um, there is an almost like a mini branch of of this program called AV Tech. It is a paid position to do camera work for
039sports games. For example, uh this week I am going to the ths gym. um to record a basketball game. So, go Tigers. Um yes, it's very fun. Um I enjoy it as my first job and I definitely plan on doing it in the future. So, yeah. >> Also, another thing about this, this is a potential job career for your child in the future. This is a very big thing. You know what I mean? You can eventually go to like CBC, the career center, and learn even more to make this to like your own job. You could be working at LA, you know, making movies or um one of the students like we have right here, we have a wall of fame. So, this is students that have, you know, made it the big time kind
040of. We had one student that um does like motion graphics sometimes like um designing for Apple products which is super awesome. >> So, I think it was one of the iPhones. He helped like make the design and everything. I believe even does ads. It's awesome. >> Um I'd like to dive deeper into um the class. We um do interviews like I said um we have to um organize. We have to be organized. We have to be structured so that everything can fall into place. Um, also we we made these posters. It took a lot of hard work. >> I had to um we had to cut out the letters, take the pictures, print them out. And yeah, we are very grateful that we have chosen to go to Columbus. Thank you very much for listening.
041Have a great day. Thank you. >> Now we're in our vets club. Our kids have a lot of opportunities. Lot of opportunities. Dear members of the Twinsburg Board of Education and community members, my name is Maya. I am representing the Twinsburg City School District Vets Clinic. VETS is an acronym for veterinarian experiences through Twinsburg schools. We had the opportunity to present at the OSBA capital conference and share a wonderful program. It is a career awareness and readiness program created by our high school staff and students and gifted to our Willox and Bissell Tigers. The high school maker space members collaborated with Mrs. Dadio and other teachers to create dramatic play and hands-on learning experiences. We give them opportunities to learn about different careers such as veterinary medicine, pharmacy, radiology, and archaeology. At the OSBA, we
042were able to share our program with board members from across the state, and we were very honored to do so. >> Hi, I'm Addie, and at the OSBA conference, I noticed two different rea two different younger students were immediately intrigued. They thought the best clinic sounded fun, different, and something they'd love to have at their own schools. The older students saw it from a different angle. They told us was a great opportunity in their high school. Both perspectives really show me how meaningful events is across. The reactions enforce how important clubs like are students from other schools recognized as valuable. All of this makes me proud to represent and work with them in our schools. This conference was an experience for our club because we were able to get feedback from the adults. As we
043typically work with elementary students, it was very validating to get feedback from adults. As a group, we were able to provide demos and insight about our club to them. This allowed us to see what we could fix to accommodate people's interests. We believe that the interactions between all groups at the OSBA meeting conference was a unique experience by seeing other clubs throughout Ohio and showing many people what the vets can offer. The vets team at the conference was able to display our veterinarian experiences to many Ohio schoolboard members. For example, we started out with a Velcro and ribbon design for our bears and we made chest cavities and a improvement that we made was using zippers and suede string for the chest cavities. >> Thank you for your time and any questions? >> No, thank
044you so much. >> Thank you for your time. Mr. This is an amazing uh community and uh great experience to experience overall and amazing team. Thank you. >> Thank you guys. just amazing things that are coming out and we are teaching the little ones how to be veterinarians and I cannot tell you how many of them have come back to us and say they want to do that. That's awesome. >> So, thank you so much for your time and we appreciate all of you. >> Thank you, Mr. >> And now we have our pep club. >> Good evening and thank you for having us. My name is Alyssa and this is Chloe and we're members of the Twinsburg High School Pep Club. A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to represent our school and
045our district at the 2025 OSBA student achievement fair. It was an honor to share the work we do to build school spirit, strengthen student involvement, and create a more positive school climate. At the fair, we showcase the events and traditions that make pep club such a huge part of our high school experience. We highlighted the energy of our pep rallies where we bring students together through games, competitions, performances, and grade level challenges. We also shared how our spirit weeks give students simple, fun ways to express themselves and feel connected to something bigger than just their class schedule. But we also made sure that people understood that pep club is about more than dressing up or cheering loudly. We talked about the ways we give back through fundraisers, community partnerships, and supporting groups like Special Olympics
046and the National Down Syndrome Foundation. Creating school spirit isn't just about hype. It's about helping every student feel seen, included, and excited to be a part of Twinsburg. >> While we were at the fair, we were surprised by how many schools genuinely wanted just advice. Our answer was always the same, to start small, stay consistent, and make it fun. Something as simple as a theme day or a lunchtime activity can grow into a tradition when students feel like their ideas matter. We also encourage schools to include all types of students because spirit only works when it belongs to everyone. One of the best parts of the experience was hearing how impressed people were with the positivity and enthusiasm in our photos and videos. We had people stop by our booth just to watch the clips
047from our pep rallies or to ask how we organize our events. We realized how proud we are not only of what Pep Club does, but of our the culture our whole school has helped create. Receiving the certificate of achievement from OSBA meant so much to us because it validated that school spirit really does make a difference. It changes the energy in the hallways, strengthens relationships, and gives students something to look forward to during stressful times, especially with academics, sports, and everything else that high school tends to throw at us. We hope that after this experience, we can continue expanding what Pep Club does. Not just to make events bigger, but to make our school a place where every student feels connected. Thank you for sending us to the OSBA fair and for giving us a
048chance to represent Twinsburg. We're excited to keep building spirit and creating memorable experiences for our student body. >> Thank you. Thank you. >> Where's your Mrs. Claus out? >> Okay. >> Thank you again. Thank you to all the advisors. Mrs. Houston Johnson I'm sure I forget some of Mr. again heard audio again. I just sent Missula. >> Yeah, Miss again, Miss Richardson, we really appreciate all the support that our staff. Thank you very much. >> Yeah. And just thank you all for again we the reason why I wanted them to present is because while I was there um this is the third year we've had actually the fourth year but the third year that we've had more students come and I saw a lot of engagement and what I thought was really cool out of
049that experience is I saw some of this um when you join these clubs it's all about a sense of belonging and inclusion and what I saw there was kids from the same school who have never interacted together, coming up to each other's booth, learning about each other's club, and exchanging social media information with each other, which I thought was really big. And then just they got a lot of different opportunities. Our Taylor Swift club isn't here, but they were recognized at the our one of our OSBA um regional um meetings we had based upon like it's just a popular club and everyone loved it. So, I just appreciate everyone who was able to attend and um thank you all. Sorry about that. >> There we go. >> Tonight, we recognize and express our deepest gratitude
050to Mrs. Davis, who has faithfully served our school board for the past 12 years. During this time, she's been an advocate for our kids and a thoughtful partner to all of our educators and really a dedicated person in our community. Her leadership has helped guide the district through times we've grown, we've changed, we've had a lot of opportunities, whether shaping our policy or supporting programs like the ones we've highlighted tonight, her impact can be seen in every school, every classroom and every student literally that has come through our doors over the last 12 years. as she steps away from our board service. We honor not only the countless hours and the hard work that she's given to our community, but also just her commitment and compassion to what she's done here in our school district.
051>> And we really can't thank her. Words can't express the the gratitude that we we have for Mrs. Davis. She cares about our kids. It shows in her daily activities and the countless hours that she dedicated to our community. So, on behalf of our entire school community, and I'm sure others will add to this, I want to extend our our sincere appreciation and warmest best wishes for you as you move on to maybe better things, but we greatly appreciate all that you've done for our community. >> Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Please join us. >> Yes. Yes. All right. I'm gonna in recognition of exemplary service in education. Tina Davis Psburg School District 12 years service. All right. I am going to read this proclamation that we have. Um, this
052is a proclamation honoring Tina Davis for 12 years of dedicated service, Twinsburg City School District Board of Education. Whereas Tina Davis has faithfully served the Twinsburg City School District for 12 years as a dedicated member of the board of education, including leadership roles at both board president and vice president. And whereas Mrs. Davis has leveraged her background as an educator, longtime district resident, community volunteer, and parent to strengthen the academic, operational, and student centered priorities of the school district. And whereas her service has been marked by integrity, collaboration, pro professionalism, and a deep commitment to the success and well-being of every student. And whereas Tennis Davis has been a trusted partner to district leadership, a respected voice in challenging times, and an advocate where contributions will have a lasting impact on generations of Twinsburg students.
053And whereas December 10th, 2005 marks her final official meeting as a member of the board of education, concluding 12 years of distinguished public service. Now therefore be it proclaimed that the Twinsburg City School District Board of Education extends its deepest gratitude to Dina Tina Davis for exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment to public education in our community. Be it further proclaimed that the board honors Mrs. Davis for exemplary service and wishes her continued fulfillment, joy, and success in our future endeavors. In witness whereof, this proclamation is presented on the 10th day of December, 2025 on behalf of the entire board. Ronda Crawford, president of Tunber of Education, and Steve Marlo, interimm superintendent, Swark City School District Board of Education. I'm gonna give each member. Thank you for all of your years of service. I've learned a
054lot from you over the last couple of years and I value our friendship and I'm very >> Oh my god, I'm trying not to get climped. Uh it has been a pleasure working with you, Tina. Thank you so much uh for all of your advice, answering all my questions, your help. I told you you're not ready yet. And I just wish you all the best. Thank you so much for your service. Anyone that sat in those seats know what a sacrifice it is. Even just the four years of return that sacrifice hard work, dedication I mean you sacrifice so much time you know students and Tina four years ago you took Rhonda and Leah under your wing and guided us and got us here and we do we appreciate you're going to be missed but
055happy endeavors to be and lots of excitement still in time for you and your family. So, thank you so much for everything you've done and and we've all set it up here. Sitting up here twice a month is that's the easy job uh is all the other time and commitment and committees and you've done that for a long time. So, thank you very much. Yeah, I just want to thank you again for all your service. Like Leah said, you took us under your wings and she's just been that advisor. She's given us a lot of guidance. She's been the tenure on the on the board. So, she she's the one we go to if we have questions because she knows the answers and she's our policy queen. Like, she knows all our policies. Like, she
056knows it all. And so, we just really appreciate all your hard work. Like like Maria said, 12 years is a long time, a lot of sacrifice. All three of her kids have been through this process as her as a board member. Um her last son, Andrew, graduated last year. And so she's just really passionate. Um she that's what you want. You want board members who care. She cares about our parents, our students, the staff. like she has that passion and we just really appreciate you for everything that you've done. So, thank you. Oh my gosh. Thank you. All right. Well, of course, I'm gonna say something because, you know, not shy about that, but I do need my little notes so I can stay in check and I will keep it under three minutes. I
057promise. So, I'll talk fast. Um, so hopefully I can see this without my glasses. And how do I clear that? Let me see that. Thank you. Thanks. hear my tech me. Um, so during my time on board, I've had three kids um attend the fine schools of Twinsburg, each blessed with some truly amazing teachers. All three graduate from Twinsburg High School, two have graduated from college, one from grad school, and we're now planning a wedding coming up soon too with our middle. So, it's been a full and meaningful um 12 years um personally and professionally while serving on Twinsburg school board. Serving on the board has brought many um ups and downs and challenges, but it has always been incredibly rewarding and we've experienced tragedies at sometimes and triumphs, lots of triumphs, but I've always
058we've always come together as a community. My favorite moments were when we have these students come into our meetings and show their stuff and um honored for student of the month. I look forward each month to recognizing them and seeing them get recognized at our board meetings and shaking hands with every single um senior every year. So, I don't know how many seniors I've shaken hands over the past 12 years, but um that's my probably my favorite memory each each year. That's my what I really look forward to is graduation. Um, from our tiniest preschoolers to our graduating seniors, our amazing our students have amazing opportunities through their years in the Twinsburg City School District. Serving on the board has always meant doing whatever we can um we can to make their time meaningful and
059for both the students and for the incredible staff who we or who we support. I truly have done my best to support the families of our three communities as well as our staff and administration. And thank you to everyone who supported and trusted me in this position and it's meant more than you um will know. Thank you to the amazing ladies up here. I've had the privilege of serving on the board. Um Mr. Mark Curtis who served with me for eight years too, my friend Mark. Thank you for coming. Um and congratulations and welcome to our newest board member, Marisha Brush, who will be joining us in or joining you not us in January. Hard to think of that. Yeah, that's right. Um, thank you to all the admin who works so hard for our
060schools, to our esteemed treasurer, Julia, um, Rosa for dedication, and, um, also a big thank you to Mr. Steve Marlo for stepping in as interim superintendent while we, um, search for a new superintendent. And I know that's not easy, but we really do appreciate you. And finally, thank you to my husband, Brian, and to my kids, Hie, Jessica, and Andrew, for supporting me um, every step of the way. And well, and also thank you for wearing those goofy campaign t-shirts the first time around in 2013. Those bright yellow obnoxious things, but thank you. I you were good sports about that. Um, I'm not going away and I'll stay involved in the schools and community one way or another. And just I appreciate everything that you've all done to support me as well. And I I
061just thank you. So, thanks for letting me serve you. Um, and thanks again to Jessica, Brian, and your other kids that aren't here, but um, dealing with us for late night calls. Oh, hi there. Okay, I didn't see you. Sorry. They deal with me all the time. So, we appreciate we appreciate everything. But, um, we're going to take a small, um, recess so that she can mingle. >> Okay. Thank you. and I just wanted to um add a little addendum to the vets presentation that Mrs. Deio and the students did not know about because it happened today. The impact of that program on our Bissell elementary students is incredible. We had future me day today as our spirit day and we had 50% more students show up to school dressed as pets today and those
062students who got to be in the vets clinic today were just it was the time of their life. So I just kind of wanted to thank everyone for the opportunity for the vets program and for the students to keep sharing it. It really had a great impact on our young tigers. >> Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you very much. >> Just to piggy back on the the uh the letter we received from the High Department of Education Workforce regarding our first required FY26 forecast. Miss Crawford did a great job. You know, we have on on in FY28, we have a deficit of 730,000 approximately 730,000 and it's our job to to to get rid of that or we have to come up with this formal plan. So, we've been working to to to
063eliminate that deficit in FY28 and moving forward. So, in January, I'm going to bring recommendations. We've been working as a team. I'm going to bring some recommendations to again so when Julia does her next forecast, that deficit in 28 needs to be eliminated or we have to come up with a formal plan on how to address that. So, we know we have some challenges. We want to address them. Um, and I just appreciate what you said, Miss Crawford, because it is something that we are dealing with uh today. Again, want to um reiterate all the great things that are taking place in our district. I mean, every night there's something, right? Our kids are performing outstanding, whether it's in the orchestra or band or choir or in a on a court. They're just doing great,
064right? And I know you all are there and I'm there with you. We're just doing great things. So, we encourage you to continue to go out and watch our kids perform. It's just it's it's great to see all the success that they're having. And this being our last board meeting before winter holiday, I just want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday season. >> Thank you. >> You too. >> All right. Um committee reports. >> Sure, I can go first. Um so, uh last week we had our business advisory committee meeting um on Tuesday the 26th before Thanksgiving. Um just to let you know they have their annual efair that will be taking place March 18th this year. Um and they been going through their their uh career um path forward previews which they
065create they purchased over 200 licenses for their connections group. And this gives the the students the ability to explore um different careers and different career paths and gives them a great idea of being able to look um what the future could hold and what um items that they could get through um what they could do as they're older. um it benefits with their experience for their trackers. It also helps to give them opportunities for hours to explore the different careers that are out there. There was um a career week that happened um in Dodge this month for the December and at RBC they had the veterans um the veterans day celebration where they had a handful of veterans come in and that was a really great experience for the kids. They um seem to get
066bigger and bigger every year and really look forward to it. Um the final thing too that they have is our college career workforce and military readiness report. So this is the first year that um they were able to be graded on that and this year Twinsburg got a uh two stars. Um and so there's lots of different work and this happens the two stars were based on the 23 24 school year. So they're able to take that information and be able to look at and evaluate what they can do to make this particular year better so they can strive to get um more stars for the next year. So they have lots of great things coming out of that particular program. Uh and that is all that we have to report from the business advisory.
067>> Thank you. >> I say okay. All right. And um the buildings and ground committee met on November 20th, 2025. And um we welcome some community members who are joining us in that committee which is really great thing. lots of uh really um incredible people who are um coming into that committee who bring a lot of knowledge and a lot of experience. So, it's it's just an it it's awesome to have them in our um building ground committee. And let's see um purpose and scope of the building ground subcommittee. Um, we reviewed its uh the role in overseeing facility needs, long-term planning, maintenance priorities, and ensuring transparency and facility related resource allocation. Um, we talked about overview funding sources, and general fund. Um, the district's primary operating fund used for daily operations such as staffing,
068utilities, and classroom needs. Uh, we went over the difference between permanent improvement funds and general funds. and permanent improvement is a restricted fund used for long-term capital improvements, major repairs, and purchases expected to last more than 5 years. Um, so those two funds do not co-mingle. Um, repair forecast. The district shared an updated repair forecast outlining immediate and future needs across facilities focusing on aging systems, replacement cycles, and prioritized prioritization based on safety and efficiency. Now, um, upcoming is the Turk and TRA Rep tur turf and track replacement. Um, the committee members reviewed the condition of the current athletic turf and track um, which is aging definitely, funding considerations and projected timeline for replacement and that is on tonight's agenda for um, consideration. Athletics and baseball fundraising updates were provided on athletic facility needs, including
069fundraising efforts specifically supporting improvements to the baseball program and collaboration with booster groups um and district-wide building automation system with the HVAC. The district shared updates on the HVAC automation system, including current progress, efficiency improvements, and future upgrade plans. And uh Mrs. Crawford and I attended that meeting and like I said we had um community members at that meeting as well and they brought a lot to the table, had a lot of great questions, suggestions and um ideas. So we definitely um see this moving in a positive direction. Thank you. >> All right. Um we do have a remance. Persons wishing to address the board of education should submit a blue card found in the lobby to treasur prior to the meeting so that they may be recognized by the board president and welcome to
070make comments. No formal action will be taken on subjects that are not included on this agenda until the board has an opportunity to study them. Comments regarding personnel must be submitted in writing through the office of the superintendent. Although there is normally adequate time for citizens to express themselves at a board meeting, if several people wish to speak, each person will be allotted five minutes until the total time of 30 minutes is used. Each person addressing the board is asked to give his or her name and address. All right. And Mark Curtis. >> There you go. Mark Curtis, 10472 Woodchuck Court. Um, so yeah, I just came here just specifically to um again congratulate u my uh friend uh and former colleague uh Tina Davis. Um probably out of everybody sitting up there, I probably
071served with her the longest um 10 years from my tenure. But what I will say uh and this has probably been echoed by all of you guys is that um when Tina first ran I think her slogan was kids first. uh and I think that she's been true to that uh throughout her entire tenure. Um, I got to know Tina uh very very well. Uh, and one of the things that I want to say is that I've watched you grow uh, tremendously from when you first started as a board member to uh, when you served with me as my vice president and then I nudged you uh, to step into that hot seat during the president's >> and you did it during one of the most difficult times of the district if you remember that
072was during co so we split those years uh, me president and you vice president stepping into the presidency and I got to say that I was really impressed with how you conducted yourself. Um it wasn't easy. It's never easy sitting in that center seat. Uh but during some of the most difficult times, uh it really is it shows a lot about a person and their character when they are serving through times of adversity. It's very easy to criticize folks. It's very easy to make observations and a lot of assumptions, but when you're not sitting in the seat and you're not dealing with a lot of the things that I know all of you deal with, um you truly understand and can appreciate uh the type of person that it takes uh and keeping your composure.
073Uh and more importantly, um you've been a professional throughout your entire time and tenure. Um we didn't always agree on things, but that's side the point. It's really about how you behave uh and being good board members uh is being respectful to one another uh agreeing to disagree uh but really keeping your head up and keeping focused on the work. So uh I want to say congratulations. Uh I'm extremely happy for you and I wouldn't have missed this time for the world uh because you don't see remember serving as long as you have. 12 12 years is pretty impressive. I couldn't do it. Um, but it just speaks to your level of commitment and I just wanted to publicly acknowledge you for your service and more importantly your friendship. Congratulations. >> Thank you, Mark. Thank
074you so much. Thank you. >> Let's get the tissues. Treasures report. Um number one, resolve that the Twinsburg Board of Education approves the following meeting minutes. Um, so we have a few um retirements and people who have who are leaving our district. We have Lauren Babrowski who's a teacher at Dodge um retirement after 31 years of service to um to our district. Um so that's that's really incredible how many students she has um interacted with and made impact on. And we have Mr. Michael Silverthornne, our assistant principal who's retiring after 19 years of service to the district. Um, again, as a administrator and assistant principal and somebody who's been in the district that long, making an enormous impact. And I know these two will definitely, you know, be missed by a
078lot of our staff and kids. And, um, we also have Julianne Walker, um, retirement. She's um been two years in the uh precurrent position of MTSS um coordinator, but she's been here for seven years in the district and other roles. So um we appreciate her um dedication to our district as well. And um we have um Melanie Brown who's HR and student wellness secretary who is at our central office who's been in our district um working um and serving our district for 12 years. So, um I'm sure she's got some things that she has planned ahead for her retirement and welld deserved. So, just thank you to those who I just mentioned and thank you for um just just being making an impact on our kids in our district and our staff. >> Mrs. Hamilton,

It be it further resolved that the superintendent of schools is
085hereby authorized and directed to submit a copy of this resolution to the Ohio Department of Education in accordance with the Ohio Revised Section 3301.0711. Do I have a motion? >> So moved by Mrs. Travis seconded by Mrs. Favis. Any discussion? Um yes. Two things. Um first of all, thank you to Mr. Marlo and all of the committee work to get two years of the calendar put out now. Um we've heard a lot of really positive um comments back that planning ahead is is going to be a nice easy way to go at this point in time for two years. So thank you for that. And also um this third grade reading it is I am I am so happy and excited to hear that we're going to go again with the paper pencil for the
086reading assessment. Um, in working at the districts that I'm working with, there there's more and more districts recognizing that our little third graders cannot type a written response to reading passages fast enough to get the test completed, to get a decent score for their writing prompt. You know, they're trying to write notes. They're trying to write, they're third graders, they're trying to write everything out. By the time they write out their answer, there's no more time left to type the answer. So, I I'm very excited about that. Listening to other districts around us where the children are struggling, I think it's an excellent decision that we're making for our our little people to be able to do this on paper and pencil. So, thank you to the curriculum committee for that. >> Well, you made
087a good point, too, because it's um some the scores I don't think have always truly reflected their ability because of some of the reasons you mentioned. So, it's it'll be really good to see them doing this actually the way it's intended to be. And it's a computer scoring it. So it's not even able to to you know it's a computer looking for something. It's looking for certain things to be written and and you know you're again you're looking at eight-year-olds trying to answer or to they have to do an opinion pick between two things and write their opinion down or they have to read something and then explain >> what they would do if it were them doing it. And that you know it's just I think it's just a good good solid decision to
088stick with the paper pencil for those little guys. He has another year of experience on the computer and typing and all growth and maturity. So, thank you very much, >> Mrs. Travis. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Davis, >> yes. >> Mrs. Egan, >> yes. >> Mrs. Hamilton, >> yes. >> Mrs. Crawford, >> yes. And that was 5. >> 15. The resolve that the Twinsburg Board of Education approves the renovation of the Twinsburg Tiger Stadium to include new track surface, new field turf, and miscellaneous improvements through the Association of Educational Purchasing Agency AEFB number 024- A. Any discussion? >> We are just excited um to be able to this has been if you've heard in previous meetings that there's been talk about our our track um and tur in our um turf field, how the wear and tear of it. I think we've tried to repair it,
090but it's at the point where it it's needed. It's necessary for the the safety of our students. This is a necessary purchase for our district. Um, and we are excited um to move this forward and the way the project is set forth with this is that we'll be able to be ready um how they'll start they're going to split it. So part of it will happen um I believe in the spring the spring and then the other part will happen during the summer so that it'll be ready for the track season. We actually um um thank um thank you to um Mr. Strickland and Mr. Fanton and the rest of the staff. they've been working ahead to make sure that when it comes to like track season and all different sports that our students are
091um already the schedule it's not going to be happening at our site in Twinsburg so that we can u move forward with this project um and then um with it happening in the summer we will be ready for football season. So we're excited there's a great design um and we're excited to move this forward. So thank you for all your work with this project. Thank you. >> Mrs. Hamilton, >> yes. >> Mrs. Egan, >> yes. >> Mrs. Travis, >> yes. >> Mrs. Davis, >> yes. >> Mrs. Crawford, >> yes. >> And that passes 5-0. 17. Do I have a motion? >> So moved by Mr. Hamilton >> Second by Mrs. Davis. Any discussion? I'll just say that um this was something
095that was brought to me by um city council members. Um we do um with us being a school district and us being in Twinsburg, we work very closely with the city officials and um us sharing the fitness center um with them. Um we we have we do a lot of business with them. So this was brought to us for us to be able to work together and be able to collaborate. Um this is their official language that they came up with. We're just following it. Um they start they approved the first reading of it already. Um but um we're excited to start this partnership with the city. Um again, the way it's it's done this way is that so that um it's in formal writing, but um it does give us more of a chance
096for other members to attend if they wanted to and so that the community can also be able to to see what's happening. So um we look forward to that partnership. >> Mrs. Hamilton, >> yes. Mrs. Davis, >> yes. >> Mrs. Egan, >> yes. Mrs. Travis, >> yes. >> Mrs. Crawford, >> yes. And that motion passes 5-0. >> Miscellaneous. >> Um, so I just wanted to say um the orchestra concert last week was um simply amazing. Mr. Khan uh broke out his electric guitar and was able to do some Tri Siberian orchestra songs with the with the orchestra. It was amazing. Um and like Mr. Marlo had said uh next week the show choir and choir has their concert on Wednesday and the band has theirs on Monday. So I encourage everybody to get out there.
097And also just a reminder that the Buds um uh basketball game is this Friday and um I would just encourage everybody to get out and and go ahead and see them all. >> Good evening everyone. Um, on behalf of myself and the board, I wanted to give just my deepest condolences to the Perchensky family on the passing of Nina Pensky. Uh, she passed away on November the 28th. She was the administrative assistant at Will Cox and she was the very first person I remember when I came in to enroll my son. and uh she was the very first smiling lovely face that I saw and just from that moment Nah truly captured my heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and her friends um on her recent passing uh she had just
098retired just a couple years ago. Um, and to switch gears on another note, uh, just in reference to baseball, the Guardians will be hosting a baseball camp at Dodge the week of July the 17th, 2026. Um, registration for that will be posted on guardians.com within the next week or so. Keep an eye out for that. It'll also be posted on the board website as well. Um, if anyone has any questions in reference to that, you can reach out to Brian Fanton or Matt Strickland or myself. Uh, thank you to the two of them for your efforts in this endeavor. And thank you. >> So cool. >> Yeah. >> And if I could have a minute, I would like to thank everyone who um voted for me. And actually in reflection of this and having taught
099government for 15 years um you know we I I taught students it's like every vote counts and and you have to vote and when you this is a part of life and and I think that um I've never ever in all those years of teaching had a any situation where you could say every vote counted and all of a sudden now I've lived through the fact that every vote really did count. Um, so I'd like to just repeat what I've said along the way. I didn't run four years ago and I didn't rerun today to represent any particular specific group in this community. I ran to serve and I ran to serve all of our district, all three communities as a whole. Um, my entire career has been in education and it continues to be
100an education. Um, as far as being on this board, I will continue to work to the best of my ability to support the best decisions for the reason that we are here, and that is for our children, both present and future. So, I again just want to thank everyone that was um that came out to run. Uh, it takes a lot to put yourself out there. And then again, just thank everyone that cast their vote and filled in a little bubble beside my name. I appreciate you. Thank you. >> Um, I was going to say um my Maria with um our condolences to Nina and her family. That was very shocking. And so um we definitely are sending prayers um to her family. Um and I didn't want to say like right now is a
101lot of things happening. We've mentioned before about the different sporting events, music, band, all the different great things that are happening. Next week there's going to be um parties um at the different schools to celebrate the um year end. did want to remind um parents there that on all the different PTA pages, if you want to support the staff with holiday gifts, um please check out the PTA's staff favorite list. A lot of them, some of them are updated, some of them are not, but it's a great way for you to kind of gauge an interest of what um they want. I think there's also, I believe, a tr on one of the pages a transportation list for bus drivers as well. So, um it's great to be able um to um to give back
102to them. So, want to wish everyone um good luck with all the students at the high school who have to take midterms um next week. Um and then um wish everyone a safe holiday >> and we'll miss you, Tina. >> We'll miss you, Tina. >> I'll still be talking >> and just uh everybody have a great holiday season and um kids, you're going to be done as of what? Next week, read a little bit easier. parents, >> bear with them while they're home. So, enjoy the holidays. >> All right. Um, so there is a need for um the board to go on executive session. So, um the board of education will enter into executive session at 8:13 p.m. to discuss employment, discipline, and compensation of public employees as per the board of education policy number
1030167.2. Do I have a motion? >> So moved by Miss Egan. Second. >> Second by Mr. Travis. Any discussion? >> All right. Well, >> Mrs. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Travis, >> yes. >> Mrs. Hamilton, >> yes. >> Mrs. Davis. Mrs. Crawford. >> Yes. >> Okay. Well, thank you. I do not see a reason for us to reconvene. So, um, thank you for joining us. Have a good night and we'll miss you, Tina. Hit the thing.
