001[Music] all righty [Music] welcome to week three of the ihen Super Smash BRS ultimate competitive esport this is week three uh now to recap the previous two weeks we uh and Academy both varsity and Academy have both reigned undefeated so uh what we're going to go to is we're facing north decar Varsity today uh on the first map of the day is going to be uh smashville smashville now you can see smashville behind us it's got one platform that strolls in at the start of the game and kind of stays there for the rest of it but uh with that all being said looks like Varsity is getting up and going getting ready to go up and go look they play Cloud one year old we're facing uh North decar Valley varsity varsity yeah both
002both of us both varsity and Academy are facing north theer so we're gonna just hop right in here y looks like we have Jaden playing against the cloud against Cloud which Isabelle is not an amazing character against but I I still think Jaden's got this I think oh yeah he a lot J Jaden's still amazing good car player against this all he really has to do is zone out like he's wasted his limit and I feel like with me he's got enough experience under his belt with Cloud to reasonably know how to deal with him yeah his weak recovery game and not great disadvantage state are going to keep him from closing the distance here and it looks like we're going to start off with our first kill early today yeah it also doesn't help
003our opponents that smash thrill actually has the smallest side blast zones so Jaden's for Smash and uh grappling hook can really throw him off a really early poen here now what it also looks like is that the cloud seems to be going for a lot of Smash attacks now that begs to differ if it's because he's at a at Jaden is at a high percentage or if he just likes doing smash attacks but it seems to be that his game plan revolves around hitting a singular smash attack and it looks like he's just throwing projectiles out from the other side of the stage here waiting for his limit break which he just Wast right away yeah it's yeah looks like he's going to be doing this strategy here for a little bit yeah looks like
004he's recovers barely get hit in the bottom of the state and it looks like Jaden's tooken out with a dash attack here Cloud at a very high percentage here looking to possibly be KO here soon right and for the he almost has his limit however yeah wrench into plans but how stocks work at zero yeah sorry Lucas U for the folks at home how stocks work is basically it's their lives and you can see right there below the character Isabelle has two little heads that's representing lives Cloud only has one now that's cuz uh he took a stock looks like Isabelle just not too afraid to just waste down time yeah looks like it uh doesn't seem to be much going on here uh not a lot of action which seems to be more of
005a looks like the a lot of clashing here a lot of moves being thrown out yeah and it looks like JV is doing a little bit better Jordan 2v oneing as well but has him at a very high percent just like Jaden as you can see oh looks like Jordan takes the game here with two stocks up yep same about as the same as Jaden and it looks like Jaden does the same uh which you can't see but Jaden just won his game here with two stocks out of three yeah over the cloud all right and so how it works after each and every game if you lost a stock you have to SD SD means self-destruct so you have to throw yourself off the stage once just the kind way of putting it so

007hop this time yeah so it looks like he's hopping off once here and then he's going to go back onto the stage and uh emote here y getting ready for the next thing it looks like he does with the ike player yet another sorty which Isabelle does not have amazing matchups versus sorties but she could Zone him out again zoning out is a good thing here but with not enough real but Ike is probably worse here because of his slower movement and less attack speed here yeah and he could also get stopped by the bombs which really closed out his zoning option yeah looks like his best approach option is more than likely going to be uh side B from the Ikes perspective here yeah as we have a saying in this Mash room uh
008if it's not broken don't fix it that's why Jaden's just placing side bees down bees and yeah if the opponent can't beat so strategy then why do you why should you stop you know eventually they're going to learn to adapt but until then until then they got to adapt yeah it looks like he knocks him down to two stocks here putting them in an even game currently uh but Jaden us being up a person of course yeah I'd be very careful of the smashes because that could really kill at 60 in the stage but with his amazingly very slow movement it looks like Ike's going to need a pretty big way to get in here and it doesn't look like he's finding it but sure is trying looks like he's going to counter here but

012that it's different play style yeah so it could throw Jaden through a loop but I don't see it I'm not seeing much of it I'm I'm seeing the uh opposite actually through of yeah I'm seeing it I'm seeing I'm seeing a lot of reads on our end yeah yeah the one problem I'm seeing from the opponent team so far is loving that smash attack that's going to bite him in the butt cuz that's really easy to punish you can grab him you can smash attack behind him putting up a good fight here though trying to recover back to the center stage here another smash attack trying to punish like Jaden here is just Walling him out they can't get in unfortunately does get hit by that though side B not going to land uh but
013the turnup does hit by a down Aon off stage another upbe off top and it looks like Jaden gets the confirm killing him love to see it do the only problem is Jan's at very high perent a smash Tech either up down or forward will kill about one more hit and a smash attack probably will kill her yeah uh I'd say yeah this snake is definitely uh playing quite differently than the snake we know but seems to not be doing much outside of Smash attacks and slightly zoning slight damage here there yeah but it seems that he's going to be off stage in a precarious situation here both of them at decently High percentages and snake here is going to up e but misses the ledge and dies leaving right Jaden yet again at two
014stocks remaining all righty it looks like we're going to go to JV with Jordan lost two stocks his last game lost against a uh trying to remember the character it was po I believe this is the third uh mat of the third game of the match here Jordan still being in he lost against Lucario that's his name he lost one stock to the first player oo and looks like the Pyro mythra here is going to SD off stage no I don't think they were able to recover well that too I mean they side be yeah looks like Jordan just doesn't want to give him any room either looks like he's just going to Pelt him with projectiles precariously poking through every I ran out like the JV has the opposite problem does not like the
015smash attack they like the B button and it looks like that Varsity is going to be going up against one of their own problems here a Lucas a Lucas which is very similar to NES in the projectile type of play yes but you it's very scary because his throws throws are very dangerous on this map back though should kill a mediumweight character at 100ish but it just depends on what the Lucas can do here with Isabelle's pocket move I'm not sure if many of those projectiles can get in but on the JV end here oo looks like Jordan's going to get knocked out but still takes two stocks off the character here looks like we're going back to Varsity putting JV at a consider putting Academy JV at a considerable lead it looks like on
016varsity's end here looks like Jaden has put a big percentage lead on Lucas ooh he's going to get hit with a Forward Air that's going to kill and that's going to kill there it looks like it's just going to be some more chip damage with Lucas at a very high percentage here they look like oo safe unsafe upbe there but not going to do anything there yeah looks like this luas actually learned from his teammates that smash isn't always the option he's not going to make it back from that low hitting the top of the stage there bottom of the stage looks like Jaden taking a similarly precautious route with his gaml here y so this is game four um not maintaining his place with projectiles and Aerials so this is game four if Jaden
017wins this that means we're done with the first set so we're heading on to the second set and we still have three more players left yep they haven't seen so which is myself Lucas and Noah and Noah which I'd love to see Noah play next game more next round I should say because I kind of feel confident in Jaden but I think he can with Lucas I think he can do it yeah it's pretty it's pretty even right now I mean I'd say but all things considered I think that Jaden here need J could probably do it I think he just I think probably very looseing yeah he keeps going for PK freeze which isn't hitting anything but this does seem like thecas is putting up quite a problem quite a bit of leeway here
018yeah but he doesn't find the space to hit off a here can he recover from that he can can looks like Jaden's going to recover from that too being sent off stage as well now Luca is being in stuck in the corner of the stage here at 116 off stage ooh he gets hit with a PK Fire uh one that he pocketed uh and it's going to put us into last stock here but it's kind of scary cuz one Forward Air back air or freeze attack and or grab could kill Jaden here the same could be said for Lucas here if he misses an upbe here and Jaden decides to pocket it it's over yeah I haven't seen it but I've seen Jaden do something like it same here yeah but at 130 Jaden at

022amount of damage here uh and it looks like Varsity has won their game looks like we're going to be going into game two but uh that's just a side note looks like with JV it's just the Sonic is just Walling him out here Brody just taking names and looks like that smash attack going to kill and that's going to be the SEC stock that's going to be the stock in the first third it's so fourth game yeah that what he said uh but with all that being said who's what's there to say you know yeah hopefully we can pull it out but it does not look like Brody knows how to get over the Rockets too well yeah just depends because a lot of uh differing factors here could influence how these players are playing

024players on JV there uh you can't see can't see everyone so hopefully the people in there were telling to move forward a little bit uh but and when push comes to shove they'll shove yeah so it looks like we're going to be jumping into H varsity as it seems here o looks like they're pulling out a Rob very D pick from the enemy team here maybe it's a new player maybe it's just a new character who knows I don't I think they have to keep the same players now uh Noah does have some experience against the Rob as one of our JV players uh m139 uh plays him pretty much yeah he plays it pretty well looks like this Rob is going to be going for a lot of side bees here probably trying to
025reflect the projectiles that Noah's throwing out all righty it looks like Jordan's coming in in here for a moment or two hopefully he comes in here quite quickly yeah yeah everyone knows Jordan the greatest lovable guy in the seniors often refer to any King of the great he's in here he is righty coming as a third I hear yes I am all righty so what we checking out uh we're checking out the robin snake Rob and snake we got Noah and the enemy uh Rob here yeah which Luca said that Noah should be playing pretty well against the Rob since we have a JV member as Rob we most certainly do yeah looks like that Rob at a very high percentage and that's going to kill yeah that's going to kill off the top there
026was it top or Corner top all right but look up smash is going to kill again also off the top there oh Rob's doing his side be looks like the counter pick's just the same stage yet again no counter pick from the enemy team well no it's not the same stage it's not Battlefield H it's smashville yeah it's smashville but it's not smashville B field that's true looks like snake just looks like Rob yet again at another very high percentage here a good side B off stage will probably kill him but it looks like he does try and reflect it here but I don't know o he gets hit with a side smash there that's going to kill him immediately uh sending him into his last stock now looks like more damage is just it
027with n it's just damage and that's a b just a ton of damage but as another character you really can't do nothing about space unless you can reflect it yeah and it looks like he's trying but it seems not to be working here no you can't really reflect the grenades you're stationary mhm but there Nikita missiles you could really reflect but Noah's not using them because he knows risk yeah so you rather space him out with moves that doesn't really reflect back to him H yeah especially those down bees those can't be reflected lot of damage being done Rob at a very high percentage a good move here will kill looks like Noah's going to go off stage though he he manages to come back here with a reversal on the Rob uh going to
028be more projectiles here trying to get the Rob the down be is going to kill and that's game one wow Noah at two remaining stocks left wow that that was no with two stocks remaining here all right it looks like uh jv's right here and where have see playing uh Little Mac and a the enemy North personally I think Tristan has got this in the bag I mean look at the percentage difference believe that trist here also help that Kirby's a lightweight character but it does not help trist and that Kirby can jump a lot which is a little Max weakness oh yeah in the air I'm surprised super armor didn't absorb that thing from the oh he didn't release it so how little me super armor works is that when he releases a move

047so that's good oh we're going to Varsity real quick and look at that oo what do we got it appears to be samis and Mr gaming watch you can see Travis right there and he is intent oh yeah look at that now Travis air yeah Forward Air neutral be forward tilt down air up air oh but the down one thing Travis has to look out for is the um Gman watches down be which puts a bucket that absorbs projectile attacks mhm and one of samus's main things is projectile attacks yeah oh look he he was already pulling it out that's why Travis didn't fire that neutral be he already pulled it out and once once that uh bucket's full it becomes a instakill attack Which Game and Watch just did yeah he did that to
048me when I played mhm that was depressing when I saw that so it looks like Travis charged up his neutral B oh goes for the throw but doesn't get oh neutral B he didn't bucket it oh oh oh with the dash attack finishes the stock gim watch tried to call him out on it but that did not happen yeah gaming watch is using that bucket a lot mhm it's cuz he knows samis I think it's because he knows how many different um projectiles Samus has yeah Sam has has two neutral b side B down B can that be bucketed uh I think so it's explosive it's probably not the safest option though since it's right next to samis oh gaming watch got that bucket again going to have to figure out a way around that
049gaming watch is giving Travis some trouble just trying to find an opening between each other they One stock each this is tense oh and that bucket reflects the rocket that's another thing the bucket can do mhm gameon watches pulling that bucket out left and right Travis tried to two frame but that didn't well was that a two- frame uh I wasn't paying attention he did a down smash at the ledge I think that was uh that's probably he's probably a trying a two frame yeah yeah yeah so for the people who don't know what a two frame is it's when somebody is trying to get back on the stage and they grab the ledge there's two frames where um the person grabbing the ledge has vulnerability and it's an easy way to get a kill
050on somebody if they're trying to recover if you know how to two stock someone or uh two frame someone yeah two frame thanks for the explanation Noah oh look at that the bucket reflected it instead of sucking it up wow both of them are at kill percent now oh man oh gets the eight oh and an up smash oh wow couldn't punish that Travis is still in oh man it's a close one Travis has to be careful oh up Smash Up Throw there he is and that's game okay now uh varsity's on their last opponent now MH so Travis has one stock two yeah and we still have Jaden left too yeah so we have four stocks they have three so we're looking pretty good we're looking pretty good and uh on the JV team
051Tristan killed uh had 12 stocks he he knocked out the whole team Clean Sweep in the first uh Varsity match Jaden got 11 so he almost got the full team man someone called the janitor they just had a clean sweep actually no I don't know you'd call the jander they just swept the floor yeah so oo Cur both teams did excellent for the right now they did they did they did flipping amazing all right we got samis versus Kirby ain't that fun all righty three two one now it's time for the most unfortunate part of the game where we have to watch our own team members fall off jump off it's disappointing it is disappointing to watch that H all right and there we go there's Travis looks like the match is started all right
052oh ready to battle Kirby got the first hit it's kind of cool cuz both the JV and the varsity have to face the Kirby we get to see how they differ in uh strength [Music] yeah oh oh and the JB team looks like oh oh he's trying to oh oh wow he tried he tried to take him down with him I'm pretty sure Kirby dies first in that equation but yeah Kirby does yeah but either way if that worked then Travis's stock would have left Kirby has samus's power now which is his yeah neutral be that blue ball yeah the charge shot Kirby's trying to find a spike there mhm he's trying to end this quickly he is like with trying to take him off the ledge K playing really aggressive right now yeah he
053probably entered this match like yeah I can I can take him down real quickly Travis shielded that uh charge shot he got a good uh down smash o fell right onto the bomb Kirby's trying to ledge guard now o oh looks like they're just chasing each other trying to find a hit oh and Travis apparently does find a hit Kirby oh is it that an up throw o didn't kill it's not kill percent yet did not kill but I feel like I was going to say that Kirby can easily be juggled but he does have his down B plus Kirby has a bunch of jumps too that is true they're both at kill percent Kirby oh a tri tried to hit him oh Travis gots the stock there's the up smash oh but the Kirby
054gets the side smash that's a reversal so wow that was crazy this is really good for us we have Jaden left he has three stocks and Kirby has one yeah so Jaden did excellent the first game he did so hey Noah I got a question what usually goes through your mind when you're participating in these games um when I watch the games I try to look for patterns um for the opponent so if I have to fight them I know what to look out for when I get into into it so I can formulate my own strategy before the game starts it appears that Jaden's in luck because uh Travis managed to um managed to take off two stocks and also see a lot of the Kirby's play style but I doubt Kirby will be
055playing as aggressively this round I feel like he's going to be way more defensive because he's at one stock and Jaden's at three yeah pick a more defensive play style oh yeah all righty looks like our JV team is doing well we have is that Izzy on pyr mythra that appears to be and she's in the lead right now mhm so our varsity game is started oh yeah it is Kirby versus Isabelle oh it looks like Kirby's still playing sort of aggressive yeah oh wow he's going for a lot of stuff there that is good Jaden's trying to keep the space between him mainly how Isabelle works that's pretty cool all righty oh goes for the down be oh go got to watch out for those Lloyds if Kirby's not careful they get stuck in
