Nope. >> There. Now you got

it. >> There we go. All right. Thank you. All right. Today is tonight's we're talking about the 2027 tax budget hearing. This is uh to in order for us to submit our budget to the Jaga County Tax Commission. And then that will further they'll come back and sign off on the tax taxes sometime in February. We'll have our meeting with them. And then this will allow us to have our appropriations in place for 2027. If we were to look at the slide, we can see that this year's increase in our property valuations were about $8 million or 6%. That's to be expected. This is the second year after our revaluation. 2023 was the um the big increase that we had. And so that we won't see another midyear until 2027. Um so as we look

at that, we've got about $8 million. We're about $1.2 billion in property values. Uh that also is as a result of that 2023 revaluation uh that we saw almost a 31% increase in our property values. We're currently uh for this year going into next year uh looking at a about a 9% increase uh going into 2026. We look at our property voted tax rates. Again, we vote our tax rates. These are um kind of in place what we vote. And then we have what we call the effective tax rates as it as they are reduced for our house bill 920 and for anything related to our emergency levies that we have to reduce when the valuations go up. So as you can see in the blue we have 48.09 09. That's our uh voted millillage.

That is after in 2024, if you recall, we moved our property our uh permanent improvement uh levy that was an inside millage. We moved that back to the general fund. So everything that's in 2025 is related to uh the general fund. There is nothing in the permanent improvement fund. Also in 2024, there was a suspension of the $2.35 million emergency levy. That is now being reinstated on the 2025 tax bills. So, you'll see that come through as a resident. If we look at the effective tax rate, what we're actually paying as residents and and commercial property, we can see these are all the school districts that have uh taxes collected in Giaga County. We can see that we're at 25.8 mills. That's up a little bit because we've reinstated that 2.35 emergency million dollar emergency

levy. Cardinal is the lowest. Bergkshire has is in this amount has not included their income tax. So theirs is higher than what we would be. So we're probably the second lowest from a property stand uh property tax and income tax uh rate comparison. You can see Riverside, Shardan, Kinston, and we go on. Um, as we look at a number of these, the more of the residential without the commercial property, we see a higher effective tax rate uh for these school districts. We look at collection rates. That's something that's just as important as the tax rate. It's how much are we collecting? What's delinquent? Uh you can see uh we've until we hit about 2021, we were pretty consistent. you know 99 99 we had one year it was 97 that was a delinquent tax bill

when you related to just one utility uh company had a delay we had an if we have something over 100% that means our delinquencies have been collected in excess of what we've taxed and then look in 2023 we had that that one utility that was delinquent for over a million dollars so that lowered our tax collection rate we average we stay right at the 98% % uh and that's what we're forecasting going into 2026. In addition to that, our estimated revenue from 2026 and 27, we provide in the alternate tax budget and you have a copy of that. It's associated with the agenda. We update the 2026 based on our um 2025 we get the valuation. So we'll know what the second half will be and then the 2020 uh should be only 2026 27

estimate that we'll have is 39.24. Now what you're seeing here that we're we have some unknowns. We have the unknowns of the new House Bill 186 and House Bill 129. 186 has the inflationary cap credits in it, which we're estimating here about $2 million that we'll re our tax collections will go down for each year going forward. And then the House Bill 129 will be about 800,000. And so that's coming back. So we will see probably $1.8 million difference here and and what we're looking at the general fund. So those things will continue that House Bill 186 is going to continue. We're going to have to they've given us uh a almost next year an increase in our state reimbursement to offset that decline, but we're going to have to manage that in our own

tax rates in our in determining what we want to have going forward as our tax structure because that's not coming back. And what that's doing is that 30% that we had the increase in the valuation, they're putting a cap on it. So in 2025 or 2024 it's it was 12%. Then 2025 it's going to be 9%. And then we'll have a revaluation in 2026. Uh which we're estimating about 9% as well. And that's from the county. So what it's doing is it's giving us tax credits to lower those for our taxpayers. So our residents will have will see a decrease in their tax bills going forward for the 2025. that won't happen until August or in the June time frame for the second half. So, we're estimating what that will be and so we've taken

a good stab at it. Uh but the Department of Taxation is really the one who's doing this. They won't have those available to us until April in the spring. So, we will certainly have some adjustments. So, what we're going to do is put this estimate in for now, best guess. And then we're also going to do an update with our forecast in May when we have a better idea of what the Department of Taxation is going to be. In addition to that, we still have the emergency levy that was suspended in 2024. That's the base year for House Bill 186. So, we have some concerns. Million emergency levy that's come due. And then we'll have a certainly one another one 2.35. those need to be renewed or another one needs to be replaced in what

we've estimated our forecast. Now, our forecast only goes through 2029 um because we only have four years, but we go out one more year. So, we need to look at that, but you can see we're that drop down uh in our revenue and that's from the renewal. So, you also see a drop from 26 to 27th. That's part of that House bill that we're seeing it as well. Hey Karen, can I ask you a quick question? >> Yeah, go ahead. >> Yeah, so back at So about the expected numbers from Department of Taxation, are do we have any inkling or estimate when we'll get that information? >> No, we they they I've contacted them several times. So they're looking at um they have to redo everybody's. >> Sure. >> So they're you know they they're

just trying to catch up with what they've got. So, a lot of there's some inconsistencies in House Bill 186 that need to be resolved with 129. So, our emergency levies will now be part of the um overall 20 mil floor, which is what 186 is trying to deal with. So, we're no longer on on the 20 mil floor. So, they're they're looking to see what kind of u inflationary cap credits that they have to put in place. And they really don't have that. I've talked to the head person. They they're not in a position to look at that until probably April. >> Gotcha. >> He said they're just get, you know, they're getting back from it. >> Did I answer your question? >> Yeah, you did. Thank you very much. Appreciate it. >> Okay. All

right. Um, one of the things that we dealt with last year was a our general fund balance as a percentage of expenditures and the concern that our general fund balance was too large. As you recall, the the board transferred some money, some funds about $11 million over to uh capital project funds to take care of some long-term deferred uh maintenance that we had in place. Um so what we have now in the general fund, if you look at this graph, you see the blue, that's our expenditures going across. Now certainly we can make modifications to that. And then the orange line is the cash balance with the emergency levy renewals if we have those in place or something similar to those. And then the gray line is the cash balance if we don't put those

emergency levies renewals in. So you can see that we run out of cash in the emer in the general fund uh certainly before 2029. So we're keeping below I one of the things that uh the county budget commission listed was you know you had to be at 40% under or 30% under. There was never a number that was uh created, but in the in the property tax reform, they've come up with a number. They haven't said what the number will be, but they have a kind of a general terms of what they believe. You know, you can't have too much excess cash. So, 30% is probably uh well within the the realm of what we want to be at. Uh it certainly gives us uh less than a couple of months of um cash in

the in in hand to take care of any expenses that we have, but you also it takes 18 months if you pass a new levy uh to get new money in place. So we have to plan ahead. So this gives us an idea of what we we have it in uh going forward. Um and if we don't pass if we don't pass the emergency levy renewals or we don't something in place that we have to deal with u those kind of we we're not in a position to do that. They have to be renewed or something has to be in place. But I think the 30% puts us in a good position uh going forward at this point uh with the tax commission. The last thing that we look at is uh we looked at

this from the bond standpoint was what would be our debt margin. This would be what could we go out to the market and obtain debt for and this was related to certainly we're looking at the uh master campus going to for the bonds. Uh we are now at 113 million that would be our 9% cap. Uh certainly we've you know that big increase between 22 and 23 is the revaluation but we also had a larger increase when we went to the Newberry transfer those that valuation came over to the district as well. So we're sitting at 113 million. That just means that we don't have to have any special financing. We talked about a lot that a lot last uh in the last 18 months. Um, but you know, it just means that we can

go out and that's kind of our debt limit that we would have without having to have special permission from the state. >> Sure. And Karen, just to be clear, you're not suggesting we go get some debt or go after a debt instrument. Right. >> I can't hear that, Mark. >> Just to be clear, uh, you're you're not advocating we go out and get some debt, right? >> Right. >> Yeah. Because right now, we can cover the at least the first two years without a problem. Right. >> Yes. >> Okay. Thank you. All right. Any other questions from the board? Uh certainly we'll file this with the um the uh county auditor will have to be filed before the 15th. Uh so we're well on in that place. So we've already talked to them on numerous

occasions already uh regarding some of the things that we're going to look at. You'll notice in the tax on the tax budget, the alternate tax budget that we no longer show the PI fund coming in in 2026. That is now sitting over in a capital account on schedule 4. And that is because we no longer have a tax levy coming into that account. So everything is going into the general fund and that's why we make that transfer every year from the general fund to the PI fund uh for those smaller capital projects that we have in place. >> Okay, thank you Karen. Any other questions from the board? >> Did you have a signup sheet for public comments for the tax portion? It's empty. >> It's empty. Thank you. >> Thanks, Megan. All right. >>

Okay. >> Thank you, Karen. >> Thanks, Karen. >> All right. Thank you, Bill. >> Okay. So, I guess we're ready to move on to the next item. >> Yep. >> Which is the organization for of the board for 2026. And uh before we proceed with this uh nomination of the board president, uh I thought that maybe since we've got a couple of new people on the board in particular that it would be useful for our new more new members to cover just a little bit of the responsibilities of the office before we proceed. And I would also refer you to the bylaws section of the board policy and in particular policies 123 0123 and policy 0124. Those would be good policies for you to guys to read and for all of us really to read

regularly to see what the responsibilities are. The most obvious role of the president is to run the board meetings according to the board policies and manage the discussion with the appropriate decorum. There is a place and process for civil factual disagreements. But as we have seen in nearby school districts, chaos can result if mishandled. The board president is just one of the board members. For that reason, they have only one vote like all other board members. They do act on behalf of the board, but that can mean as the board president, they need to support a board decision even if it is not their personal view. The board president is the board spokesperson. For example, individual members may certainly talk to the superintendent, but board direction of the superintendent would come through the board president

following a board decision. Written correspondents or emails that come to the board would be answered by the president. When the press is writing a story, it would be generally expected that they would contact the president who would then respond for the board. So, I think you can see that the position is not one to be taken lightly and is best handled by one with some experience. And at this point, you are probably thinking that I have just given a campaign speech. But I am not seeking the position. I have worked with Mrs. Clayool on the finance committee for two years and based on that and her previous professional experience, I am nominating her to be the next board president. >> I'll second that. >> Any other nominations for president? >> Okay. You do not have

to vote on the motion. No, just vote on the resol. Just vote unless you would have to close the motion unless there's an additional >> Okay. No other nominations. We close the >> um >> you're moving to close. >> Move to close the nomination. >> Second. >> And then uh would you please call the role? >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Miss Levvenworth. >> Yes. >> Miss Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Mr. Bidmar. >> Yes. >> The board of education of West Jo local school district hereby um >> Well, we're beyond that. Okay. >> Sorry folks. >> So, you'll administer >> to close the nomination. >> That was to close the nomination from electing the president. >> No, we won't. >> Okay. Roll call to elect the president. >> Dr. Beers, >> still yes.

>> Miss Levvenworth, >> yes. Miss Naylor, >> yes. >> Mr. Vidmar, >> yes. >> And I >> Okay, so now >> here you go. >> We missed you to Dr. >> Bears. You're going to take what we're running. >> Yeah, that >> But we need to change change that then. >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> So, should you make a motion to Let's put it in first. >> Okay, >> good idea. >> Let's go. >> That's okay. I solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Ohio and that I will faithfully and impartially perform my duties as president of the Board of Education of the West Giaga Local School District in Giaga County, Ohio to the best of my ability and in accordance with the

laws now in effect and hereafter to be enacted during my continuence in set office and until my successor is elected and qualified. Okay. Thank you. there. >> Do these come back to you? >> Yeah. >> Yep. At this point, you'll change seats. >> We're going to change names, too, then. >> It's complicated. change right now. >> No, you change. >> All right. We're going to move right into 302 resolution to approve the nomination of the board vice president for calendar year 2026. Uh could I have a motion to open the floor for nominations? >> So move. >> Well, it says, >> but I don't need a second. Okay. So the So then I'm So the it's now I need So we need it's open for nominations. So are there any nominations? I'd like to nominate

Bill Beers for vice president. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> Call the role, please. >> Um, do I need to be reappointed to call the role so I can take the place of him doing this? >> So, she doesn't have to call the role. >> Uh, no. She just acts as president and calls the role. At this point I have to call the role. >> No. >> Oh yes. As as prom. So we'll finish out this meeting as Pam prom and then we'll we can appoint a different prom. You can be president and um treasurer prom at the same meeting. Okay. >> Um ironically I've been doing such a good job. Can't we change it? I mean we can >> you can make a motion and change it at this point. >> Yeah. >> Um

>> let's get through this. Let's do this one. All right. So I'm going to call roll doc. Oh I do. Okay. This is >> for the motion and second to close nominations. Okay. Um, Miss Levvenworth, >> are we voting to close the nominations? >> We're voting to close nominations right now. >> Miss Naylor, >> yes. >> Mr. Vidmar, >> yes. >> Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Mrs. Clayool, yes. >> The board of education of the Westiaga Local Stu School District hereby nominates Dr. Bill Beers for vice president of the West Yiaga Board of Education for the calendar year 2026. So I'll roll call to elect the vice president. Um I'll do Miss Ms. Levvenworth. >> Yes. >> Miss Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> I'll abstain. >> Mrs. Clayool.

Yes. >> Okay. So we do the Mhm. >> Thank you. And then we'll do the >> Yeah. >> I solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Ohio and that I will faithfully and impartially perform my duties as vice president of the board of education of the West Giaga School District in Chiaga County, Ohio. to the best of my ability and in accordance with the laws now in effect and hereafter be enacted during my continuence in said office and until my successor is elected and qualified. I will. >> I got them. Now we can take a motion. Right. Can I have a motion to change the prom treasurer to do I have do I say a name or just >> Yeah, you can. to

Kathy Levvenworth. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> I'll call the role. Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Uh Mrs. Clayool, yes. Ms. Levvenworth, >> yes. >> Ms. Naylor, >> yes. >> And Mr. Vidmar, >> yes. >> Okay, hear it. All right. So board um so resolution 401 to approve the 2026 board meeting dates, time, and location. >> O4 resolution. >> Oh41. >> Got it. Resolution O4. Could I have a motion? >> So move. >> A second. >> Second. >> Any discussion? Call the role, please. >> Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Mrs. Clay, >> yes. >> Mrs. Levworth, yes. Mr. Mrs. Naylor, >> yes. >> Mr. Vidmar, >> yes. >> Okay. Resolution 005 to approve establishment of service fund. Could I please have a motion? >> So move. >> Second. >> Any discussion? I

just real quick question like I don't know if Karen's still got her ears on but uh what what are we using this for >> as a board is this is intended for board business or board training. >> It's board business or training. So it's set aside at the beginning of the year just in case you would need to uh pay for any of those things. >> Do we typically use it? >> Not typically that I know of. No. >> All right. >> And that was my question. If if we use less or more, what what happens then? >> Um we would come back to the board if you would need to use more. Um but since we've never done that is why I say um it has not been my understanding that you >> it

would go back into the general fund. >> This goes back into general fund >> number right >> it's more of an accounting. So right y >> and you see here it says that what it's actually for uh the performance of their duties uh actually incurred in the training and orientation to the performance of their duties and other such things. >> Yep. >> Any other discussion? Call the role please. >> Mrs. Clayo >> yes. >> Mr. Levworth yes. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. Resolution 006 to approve the 2026 compensation for board members. >> Second. >> Any discussion? Call the role, please. >> Mrs. Levvenworth, yes. >> Mrs. Naylor, >> yes. >> Mr. Bidmar, >> yes. >> Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Mrs. Clay, >> yes. Resolution 007

to accept resignation of West Giaga Community Joint Recreation District Trustee. >> So move second. >> Any discussion? >> Just point out that this is Mark resigning from the rec uh council, >> the joint rec board. Yeah, >> joint rec board. To be a school board member, you can't be in both positions at the same time. >> Yep. >> And we will He maybe could be if he were appointed by >> by one of the township by Chester by Russell. He's appointed by us. >> And we'll immediately advertise on our website for this. >> I was going to bring that up next time in the 08. Perfect. Thanks. Great. >> Okay. So, any further discussion? Call the role, please. >> Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmire, >> abstain. >> Dr. Beers? >> Yes. >> Mrs.

Clayool? >> Yes. >> M. Leworth? Yes. >> Okay. Uh resolution 008 is to approve board appointments on behalf of the board. Um I'd like a motion to take take the so that we could begin discussion on this. We have a few things that we'll have to talk about. >> Second. >> Okay. So, um there are some positions that uh we we need to be filled by the board. Um there's an o they're they're related to the OSBA, an organization that we support that really supports education. And I've asked Kathy to give us kind of a brief uh summary of what those positions entail. Um if the three uh the three of them if you would and then we can take um open it up for volunteers from the board to accept those positions. Uh OSBA

stands for the Ohio School Boards Association and that comprises uh I think well everybody has to vote on it at their meeting as we are tonight uh to be a member of that and usually there's unanimous consent for all boards. There's 607 school districts in the state of Ohio and um I was president of the Ohio school boards association and at that time uh we had a national school boards association and this uh leaison position not only worked with our uh OSBA representatives, we have employees who are specifically assigned to be aware of uh legislation that is going on that affects education in Ohio as well as national education. Unfortunately, the National School Boards Association went um under several years ago uh by bad management and uh since then, well, they've I can't say they've

gone on. They still they still are are in business, but there another organization has has sprung up to take its place in Ohio has become part of that. We used to send delegates to to DC to uh every year in late no late January, early February to uh to lobby in in the representatives and the senator's offices uh on behalf of Ohio and other public education. Uh they still are doing that, but it's nowhere near as well organized as it used to be. We used to have 10,000 plus people on the hill, which is huge. Um, but anyway, this position from our board would be somebody who stays a breast of of what's going on and works with the uh staff of OSBA to know what the legislation is and to come uh back to

our board to to help keep us a breast and see what we might want to vote on and to to um be involved with. >> Okay. What about the student achievement liaison? Well, that was another um I uh helped to and and had the when I was president, we we established the student achievement um organization and that that we every year at the at the capital conference which is held in November. Um we have a student achievement part of the of the fair of the of the convention and so that would be what this person would do be a lazison to that. >> Okay. So any further any questions or further discussion? I'm opening it up for um like not people to >> and then delegate delegate and and not are pretty clear that those

are the two people who would go to the to >> to the >> represent us at the at the meeting >> capital conference >> at the capital conference in November. >> Yeah. >> So I'm looking for volunteers. >> I'll do the liaison again >> the legislative. >> Okay. Kathy, >> I would do the student achievement. >> Okay. Ellen, student achievement capital conference delegate. >> I can do I didn't I don't What's the I I need to understand the time commitment. >> I can do it and if you you can be >> I can be the alternate. That'd be great. Yeah. >> All right. The time commitment is to go to capital conference and to go um the >> it's usually Monday afternoon the delegate assembly. So it' be Monday afternoon >> during the conference Monday

after the election. >> Gotcha. Uh and then and then we also have we in addition to the um uh to Mark's position being vacated, we have we currently have three pe three people on the joint rack uh as trustees um from that we that we put in that position uh with his with Mark's uh vacating and then we need and we have another position that's up in April 2026. So, I think we should put an ad in and then I think we look at that um at at that and look at two positions and and and if Chris I mean if Chris wants to reapply that's that's fine, you know, but we're going to look at filling two positions. So, we'll put an ad in right away then. >> Yes, we'll do that. Thank you.

We had one last year, so I think we probably have >> Okay. Any any further discussion? >> Okay. Call the role, please. >> Uh Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Mrs. Clayool, >> yes. Leworth. Yes. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Resolution 009 to adopt operating protocol for regular meetings. Could I have a motion? >> So moved. >> Second. >> I'm sorry. Who was the second? >> Ellen. Okay. >> Any discussion? >> Call the role, please. >> Mrs. Clayool. >> Yes. >> Levenworth. Mr. Naylor. >> Yes. Mr. Vidmmer. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Now I turn it back over to for treasurer's business. >> I'm happy to read the resolutions for you, Kathy, if you want me to. >> Uh, I can read back zero uh 010 resolution to

approve the authorization resolution for January 1, 2026 through December 31st, 2026. Uh, do I you want me to read this whole thing? >> No, you don't have to read the whole thing. All right. >> I make a motion. >> So move. >> Uh, is there a second? >> Second. >> Call the >> Okay. I didn't know if there's discussion. Um, Mrs. Levvenworth, >> I mean, do you do you want me to call the role? >> No, I I >> Yeah. How do we do that? >> Yes, you can recall. >> I have to go. Yes. I didn't know if it but do we have any discussion first? >> Uh no. >> Is there any discussion? >> Right. >> I mean just maybe just point out this is just establishes where the money can be uh

saved at who we work through. Um those kinds of things. >> It's very general. >> Right. Call the role. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmire. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. Yes, >> Mrs. Clay. >> Yes, Mr. >> Lemore. >> Yes. >> Do I need to make this one, too? Yeah. Yes. Okay. Zero. Uh, resolution 011, resolution to authorize the treasurer to file tax county tax complaints. >> So, move. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> Call the roll. Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. Yes, >> Mrs. Clayool. >> Yes, >> Mr. Leverworth. Yes, Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes, >> I'll read. Why don't I read them? >> Okay, >> do the call. >> Resolution 012 to approve the designation of newspapers. Could I have a motion, please? >> So, I'll move. >> Second. >> Any

discussion? Call the RO, please. >> Not sure where it was. Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clay. >> Yes. >> Leworth. Yes. Mrs. Naylor. Yes, >> Mr. Vedmar. >> Yes. >> Resolution 013 to approve the presentation of legal counsel. >> Could I have >> representation? >> I'm sorry. Representation. What did I say? Presentation. >> Representation of legal counsel. >> Thank you. >> So move. >> Second. >> Any discussion? This just lists the lo the legal uh organizations that we look to for help and uh if there are other things that are needed, specialized things that are needed during the year, we can put another one on, but this just starts with our our base units to pretty well cover everything we think we're going to need. >> Yeah. Each one has a specific role that

they play >> uh for what we do. So, >> we're currently engaged with all of these. >> Yes. Okay. It just allows us to to use them and if we need another for some reason we can we can vote on that at a later time. >> Okay. >> Any further discussion? >> Call the role, please. >> Mrs. Clayool, >> yes. >> Mrs. Leenworth, yes. >> Mrs. Naylor, >> yes. >> Mr. Vidmire, >> yes. >> Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Resolution 014 to approve 2026 membership in the Ohio School Boards Association. move. This is the um No, >> I'm sorry. Second, >> this is the uh open for discussion. This is the organization that uh Mrs. Levvenworth was talking about previously. >> Any further discussion? >> Did you have a second? >> I did. >> Okay,

>> good. I got it. I got it. Thank you. >> Any further discussion? Call the RO, please. >> Mr. Levvenworth. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clayool. >> Yes. Resolution 015 authorizing 2026 to 2027 membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Mrs. Claybel, >> yes. >> Miss Leverworth, yes. uh 016 uh resolution to approve the designation of Taylor Insurance Group as health insurance broker consultant for calendar year 2026. Could I have a motion? >> So move. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> They have been our consultant on

this for a number of years. I don't remember how long. >> This will be at least three. No. >> Have we looked for any other engagements for shopping purposes or Maybe we do. >> I don't Yeah, >> I that I think we asked that question not last year but the year before and we had. Okay. >> Um I don't think we did this year just because we would probably only do that maybe every three or four years. Sure. >> But we can we can verify that. That's a good question. >> Okay. >> Any further discussion? >> Call the role, please. >> Mr. Vidmar, >> yes. >> Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Mrs. Clay, >> yes. >> Levenworth. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> 017. Resolution to authorize the board president and treasurer to borrow funds. >>

So move. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> Um yeah. So at at like at to a certain point or I don't understand what the mechanics of this resolution like are we uh giving authorization for borrowing at their at their leisure or uh are we talking about using an MX card? Are we talking about a bond issue? Right. I mean, can you can you help me understand that a little bit? >> Anybody? >> I No, I you know, I had the I think this one >> we should maybe I think we need to get more information on this. There's probably a policy that goes with this that I'm not familiar with right now. And rather than approve, we can table. >> Yeah. And I mean, yeah, >> I think those are good questions. If we just

added a a friendly cap to it, right? Like >> if it's for an MX card, I totally get it. If Karen was here, she could answer this, but I don't think she's on. >> Yeah, she's probably not on. >> That That was my question as well. Is this just like a part of regular >> startup the year business? >> Yes, it is. Okay. >> And as far as I know, we don't we're not borrowing any money right now. >> No, no, we have no debt. >> So, we can table this. >> So, kind of like you're just giving them the >> I vote to table or >> I don't know how that works. Ability to do it for the year. >> We need to make a motion to table table. >> Sorry. So, I guess

I'll >> Could I have a motion to table then? >> Yeah, I I'll make a motion to table uh 017 until our next meeting uh upon some additional information >> and do I have a second? >> Second. >> Any other discussion on that? Yeah, >> that one. >> Uh I guess I would just question whether we want to specify it be until the next meeting specifically. >> Yeah. Because if something comes up that we need to approve this then or have this ability before the next regular board meeting. >> That's fair. >> That's a friendly amendment. I accept. Yeah. Absolutely. >> Well, we would have to have a special. >> So So I'll amend my emotion. I'll mend I'll amend my motion uh to table this until we can discuss it or until the next

time we have an opportunity to discuss it. Is that fair? >> Table till the next regular meeting. Well, I think that's what we're trying to avoid, right? >> In case we need to do it beforehand >> or in a special meeting if >> if needed. And Alan, you agree to that because that's second. Okay. >> Yeah. To >> special to next >> to next uh >> regular sooner. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Any further discussion on that? >> No. >> Call the role, please. Uh, Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Mrs. Clay, >> yes. >> Mr. Levworth, Mr. Mrs. Naylor, >> yes. >> Mr. Vmark, >> yes. >> Okay. Uh, resolution 018 to adopt the 2026 to 2027 alternative tax budget. That's the budget that Karen just shared with us. Uh, do I have a motion? >>

So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? Call the RO please. >> Mrs. Clay, >> Yes. Mrs. Naylor, >> yes. >> Mr. Vidmire, >> yes. >> Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Okay. Now I turn it over to Dr. Ben & Kasa. >> Thank you. Resolution 019 is a resolution to approve the authorization resolution for January 1st, 2026 through December 31st of 2026. >> So move. >> Second. And for those of us that are looking at this and uh following along from home, this is basically just gives you authorization to run the joint, right? >> Yeah. Higher, fire, bring in people you need, right? >> Things that would have to happen on the daily in between board meetings. >> Yeah. Call the call, please. >> Mworth. Yes. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >>

Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clayool. >> Yes. Um resolution 020 is to appoint the appointment rather of designated staff appointments for the 2026 calendar year. So I'll move >> second. >> This just outlines the roles of central office that would um take over the responsibilities listed beside them. >> Any further discussion? >> Call the role, please. >> Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmmer. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. Mrs. Claypool. >> Yes. >> Resolution 021 is a resolution to approve the support organizations for the 2026 calendar year. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> Call the RO please. >> Mr. Vidmire. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clayool. >> Yes. >> Levvenworth. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> 022. Resolution to adjourn the tax budget hearing and organizational

board meeting and convene the regular board meeting. >> So move >> second. >> Any discussion? >> No. >> Call the role, please. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clayool. >> Do uh real quick, do we have to state the time? >> Yeah, we do. Um be it resolved that the board of education of the Westiaga local school district hereby adjourns this meeting at >> 6:36. Call the role, please. >> Okay, we'll start again. Dr. Peters, >> please. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clay, >> yes. Mr. Levenworth. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Okay. You guys will be happy to know that we're going to start the regular meeting now. >> We're too It's been painful. I know. It's been painful for us as well. Um, all right. So, uh, you know

>> what? >> Oh, so we're gonna Yeah. and and for those who would yeah like to you're more than welcome to leave. Okay. So resol 01 is just to is procedural to open the uh call to order the roll call for the meeting. This is the regular meeting. >> I guess we've already got that. >> Yeah, I don't think anything need >> I don't think we have I just roll. >> No, there's there's not even a Well, yeah, we need a roll call. >> Okay, please. >> Dr. Beers >> here. >> Mrs. Clayool. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Leworth. Yes. Mrs. Naylor >> here. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Okay. Are there So, um, are there any additions or changes to the agenda? >> Do we have to reappoint the treasur for the regular meeting?

>> I think we do. >> Yes. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Do you would you like to stick with your treasure prom? >> Yeah. She's doing a good job. Okay. >> So, could I could I have a motion to change uh to >> have C like that >> Levvenworth be the uh treasur prom for the regular board meeting? >> So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> No. >> Call the role, please. >> Mrs. Clayful. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Armore. Yes. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Okay. Good. >> All right. I hope everybody realizes how much we really miss Karen. >> Yeah. >> you're doing a fine job. I think you probably miss her the most. >> I miss Okay. >> Okay. Um so 01 are

there any additions or changes to the agenda? >> Yes. If I could uh speak to one point um by I'm sorry it took me a moment but when you um put off the debt question that means nobody can use credit cards in the district until you approve um the board president or and or the treasur to utilize credit cards. We use credit cards here to do a number of things like professional developments um supplies etc. Um, so I I don't know that we want to put that off until the next meeting. We certainly can add it as a line an agenda line item to this one. >> That's fine. I Yeah, I have no issue with that. I just add it. >> So, >> should I do that one first? >> Yes. >> Or no,

I think we should get to your program. I think we need to get to our programs, but we'll put it uh into the financial uh worked on there. Okay. Thank you. So, all right. So, could I have a um a motion to accept the changes though? >> Yes. >> Second. >> I'll second. Any additional discussion on that? >> No. >> Okay. Please call the role. This is to accept the change. >> Mrs. Kipo? >> Yes. >> Mr. Leverworth? Yes. Mr. Naylor? >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmire? >> Yes. >> Mr. Dr. Beers? >> Yes. >> Okay. That was a motion to accept the u right change to the agenda. And now we'll ch uh get turn it over to Dr. Ben & Kasa. She has some >> Well, look at all of these patients. >> I'm

so impressed guys and gals here. So, uh I'm very pleased to introduce uh Lindsay Elementary School um who I don't know if everybody knows, but January happens to also be board appreciation month. Um, so I know that they wanted to speak both to our board, um, both about our board and also about the great things happening at Lindsay Elementary. So, um, with that, I will hand it over to some very fresh faces today. >> All right. Thank you. All right. Good evening, everybody. I apologize about my voice. Um, my name is Samantha Prince. I'm the principal here at Lindsay Elementary. Um, and I am so excited to be able to present our students in front of you this evening. These are a select group of some of our student council members um, who have worked

so hard to help develop this presentation with me, not only to um, celebrate you all as um, board appreciation month, but also just give you a little clue in as to what Lindsay is like and what are all the awesome things happening at Lindsay. So, they already know. They're going to take the mic. They're going to introduce themselves. They're going to tell you their first and last name and what grade they're in. >> All right, Toby. You got it. >> My name is Toby Cullis and I'm in third grade. >> My name is Maxwell Jones and I'm in fourth grade. >> My name is Jocelyn Shepard and I'm in third grade. >> My name is Jaclyn K and I'm in fourth grade. >> My name is Megan Northup and I'm in fifth grade. >> My

name is Finn Lafery and I'm in fifth grade. My name is Ethan Schnutz and I'm in fifth grade. I'll pass it to Jackie. Okay. All right. >> Hello everyone. Thank you for being here tonight. We want to start the meeting by thanking our school board. We appreciate all your hard work and dedication to the West Yiaga schools and our student council meeting. Last week we discussed what school board is and what they do. We we learned that the school board decides who's get who gets hired and who gets fired. We also learned that a school board helps make the rules of the school. >> Finally, the school board dedicates their time in helping all of the schools to be a better place to learn. >> Because it is school board appreciation month, we made you

all cards to say thank you for all you do. Perfect. You want to take these up to the table? I'll take the mic. Okay. Thanks. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> All right. So now our students are going to tell you a little bit about what they learn every day at Lindsay. So I am going to hand it over to Miss Joselyn. >> In third grade we read a lot of books. Then we talk about the books and Socratic seminars. My favorite book is A Thora. >> In third grade we are learning about fossil fuels, rocks, multiplication and fractions. In fourth grade math, we are learning about angles and the degrees of angles and shapes. In fourth grade, we are reading chapter books and talking about them. We are also learning how to write essays

properly. In ELA and fifth grade, we are reading many chapter books discussing themes and transformations of the main character. My personal favorite is the Phantom Toll Booth. We read the book and even we read the book and even got to compare it to the movie. In math, we are focusing on algebra, problem solving methods, and we use games, songs, and chance to make the learning more fun. We have even done some escape rooms, and only a few of us are still missing. In social studies and science, we are currently working on space tools and have a great project coming up to the end of January that we would love to have you come see. All right. And we can get you more details. The fifth graders will be working on their space tool project on

January 29th. It's an open house for our fifth grade parents to come and see all the awesome projects that they're working on. All right. So, now our students are going to we're going to skip and talk about some of our favorite school events. One of my favorite events we did this year was Laps for Lindsay. We go to the soccer field outside and run laps with our grades. For every lap you run, you get a rubber bracelet. The goal of Laps for Lindsay is to help raise a certain amount of money for Lindsay. If you raise a lot of money, you can win prizes such as principal for the day, a Nintendo Switch, DJ the lunchroom, and even ride on the fire truck or in a rocket car. Student council helped present a wonderful assembly

to local veterans to honor their service. Students from Lindsay sang the songs to sang songs to honor the veterans. We ended the program by lining the hallways, waving flags, and singing a grateful nation as veterans paraded among us. Over se over 75 of our fifth graders have just started rehearsals for our winter musical Nursery Crimes, which is an original show that has been written just for West G by Mr. and Mrs. Rich. Here is a quick clip of our rehearsal. We would love for you to join us on March 5th, 6th, or 7th for the show. If you're wild and free, I can dream. All right. Next up, our students are going to give a little bit of um discussion around leadership opportunities at Lindsay and how they give back. This year, we all ran

for student council. We wrote speeches and presented them in front of our class. Then our class voted one boy and one girl to be on student council. Student council helps plan assemblies and spirit week so the whole school can have fun. We also make posters to remind our peers to be kind and responsible to follow the three Rs. Before Thanksgiving, student council made posters to tell our school about baskets for love. We brought in food for those who are not as fortunate as others to have a complete Thanksgiving meal. All right, at this time we're going to invite up Elena Trentonelli. Um she is going to present her awardwinning essay that she wrote for the number one dog contest in Giaga County. She's also a current fifth grader at Lindsay Elementary. So she's going to

read just a short selection of her award-winning essay. Chester is my beagle. When we first got Chester, he had been abandoned for who knows how long. But the Giaga County Dog Shelter found him and cleaned him up. He went from stinky dinky to fragrance. Chester is the best because he can cheer anyone up. Whenever you are sad, he will sit with you, which makes most people feel better and happy. Another reason Chester is the best dog is because he's funny. Sometimes when he is asleep in my is sleeping in my bed, he will start howling and not just in his dream. In real life, he'll make cute little howling sounds and move his feet like he's running. He is also the best because he is easygoing. Last year he was a taco for Halloween. And

we have other outfits that he wears like a raincoat and a sweatshirt that says bad to the bone. If you're looking for a dog that's friendly, funny, and loves to snuggle and spreads cheer, look no further because you have found him. Whether you agree that he's the best, adopting Chester was the best decision we've ever made. >> Nice job. >> All right, I'm going to hand it over to Toby. >> Next, we Next we're talking about the three Rs. The three Rs are respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. >> We have a chance to earn Gotchas. We can get them from staff members for being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. The golden paw is when you are going above and beyond. In our Friday morning meeting, Miss Prince announces the golden paw winners and

we get to go down in the office, get a special golden paw, and take our picture. And now we are going to award you each with one of your very own golden paws. and I'll take the microphone. >> Thank you, sir. Appreciate it. >> Somebody gets an extra car for >> golden spoon. You have to clean your table, line up quietly, and come in from recess quietly. If your class wins, you get the certificate and a spoon outside of your classroom. All the classes at Lindsay are trying to strive for more than 95% attendance. At the end of every month, the classes the highest thing. >> Attendance get to DJ the lunchroom. The class gets to pick the songs that we play on the speaker in the lunchroom. All right, we are now going to

close out our presentation and all of our students are going to just tell you what they love about Lindsay and these are their true honest thoughts. Um, they told me and I typed. So, I'm going to start with Tobey. >> I love Lindsay because I love playing football at recess. >> All right. >> I love Lindsay because we do fun events like the singalong. >> I love Lindsay because we do morning meeting. >> I love Lindsay because of the nice staff members. I love Lindsay because of all the teachers and staff that help us throughout our day. >> I love Lindsay because a lot of the activities that we do while we are in the classroom are fun. >> I love Lindsay because I have the opportunity to switch with three classes during the day.

I get the chance to work with different groups of friends. >> All right. Thank you so much, Lindsay students. WE APPRECIATE YOU. THANK YOU GUYS AGAIN FOR BEING SO PATIENT as we worked through that. But um the students worked really Oh, wait. >> Oh, yeah. You know, Mr. Rich doesn't resist a picture. >> Oh, yeah. That's great. Yeah. Yeah. >> Yep. And don't hold up your paper. I can take your papers. Give me your scripts. >> There we go. >> Maybe too many scripts in my hands. >> Thank you. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Okay. >> Boogie boogie boogie. Yes. And then get to where you all need to be. >> Grab a board member and get a picture. >> Yes. Okay. Love it. Here, Elena. I'll take your paper. Thanks. >> Up in

it, Max. All right, Joselyn. Next, turn around and go right here by Toby. Okay. Right in front of Miss Taylor. There you go. There you go. Okay. >> All right. >> Oh. Yes. >> Just perfect. Thanks. >> Well done. Well done. All right. I don't know. >> That was awesome. That was great. >> Not me at least. >> I don't know if we I don't know if we earned. >> And this is on. >> I think they did better than we did. >> Great. Thank you, Lindsay. Students, as they get leaving, we'll prepare. Uh Mrs. Morgano is here to recognize some students um with her noetic math challenge. Hi, good evening. I am so happy to be here again tonight. I actually don't need that, but we can put it on the >> I don't

I don't just me. Um, I'm here to celebrate some of our students for their outstanding math abilities and accomplishments, particularly in the fall round of this year's Noetic Math Learning Contest. This is a nationwide contest and there were over 33,000 students across the nation from grades 2 through 8 that participated in the fall round. Tonight we have our team winners here. And also another surprise, I'd like to call up the students who are our team winners. And as I call your name up, come on up to the front and find your certificate on the table. If you can just stand in front of your certificate. Second grader Mary Denal. Third grader, John Elliot. Fourth grader, Ella Branch. Fifth graders, we had a tie. We had Cole Dugan and Cole Weerick. Sixth grader, Zachary Greycon. Seventh

graders, tie again, James Davis and Mary Alice Stevenson. Eighth grader, Cass Suard. We can give them a tremendous um applause here for THEIR EFFORTS. WEST G IS so proud of all of you. You've done an outstanding job as usual. Um, and I actually have some more good news. Two of these students who are standing before us right now achieved Noetic's highest achievement, which is their national honor roll status. In fact, two of these students scored in the top 10 percentile for their grade level amongst thousands of their peers across the nation. Would Cole Dugan and Cole Weir take a step forward? Big one. Well done. So, since you are all in place in the table, some of you taller than others, I was thinking the board could stand behind them for a picture, but we

might have to come around. Um, kids, nice job again. If you can pick up your certificates, you can hold them in place. If anyone would like to take any pictures, now's the time. >> I know. I know. YAY! >> Good job, guys. >> Good job. It's great. No, that's yours. Can I open yours? >> Thank you. I told Mrs. Morano some of our friends are uh multi-timers. I keep seeing them back for more. >> Thank you for being here. Um last but not least, um this actually presentation is a result of some board action from last year. So, uh the board um wisely uh approved a beehive to be a part of our campus for our students to get some experiences. um that was put in place last year and you're going to hear from

the students who took your approval and uh made something of that. >> Hi. Um I'm Kathleen Harrison. I'm the adviser of the West G's Bees and uh these are >> this is my executive board and they are going to present to you some of the things that we've done. That's amazing. >> Um hello. Hi. Can I click over? >> Yes. Thank you. Hi, my name is Hayden Maku. I am the president of the B Club, or as some of you might know me, Shrek. Um, today I'm speaking to you not only to thank you for your support of the B Club, but also to give you a progress report of sorts of how the money you have given us has supported the greater West Yaga community. First of all, I would like to do introduce

some of the other board members here. I've got Tristan Morgan, vice president. I've got Elsa Henderson, PR management. I've got Anderson Oslin, treasurer. And I have Naomi Martinez, secretary. And as she just introduced, I have our queen bee and adviser, Mrs. HARRISON. UM, since of the since the founding of the club less than a year ago, we've already accomplished numerous goals that we had in place. Um, on the side of ecology, we've had our two box hive set up. Uh, we've also created a pollinator garden with a partner, a business partner, Lowe's, um, which serves environmental interests across West Giaga. Uh, additionally, we have studied us here have been able to study bee management under a bee expert and do multiple visits out to the hive. Oh, I should be clicking through the slideshow. There's

one of our visits out to the hive. Uh, extracting some of the and just looking at the bees. Couple more pictures here. Those are the bees up close. Our own very own Westies bees. Um, and where am I? Uh, so we've had multiple opportunities to go out to the hive and we're hoping to extend that to all of the club members very soon once we can get them um up to speed. On the business side, we have extracted and jarred our very own honey. Um, here's us extracting some of the honey from the combs, scraping it off, extracting it with this big spinning machine and jarring the honey. Um, we are completely sold out of honey. Uh we sold out basically at our first event um at the Halloween hangout. So we're looking to hopefully

get some more honey going into next year. Um we've also with the money we've raised purchased multiple beesuits and tools for our own personal use so we no longer have to borrow them from the program. And we've bought the ingredients to make a bunch of chapsticks which we look to be selling within a few weeks. Um furthermore, we've been able to gather, as you can see in these pictures, uh I think over 30 club members in just less than a year. So we're obviously hoping to grow that number more. um and just give ourselves more opportunities to help the West Yaga community. Um all right, that was a lot. I'm sorry I talked very fast. I'm I'm sure. Um but I want to end this uh little presentation with just the reason we kind of

came here in the first place to thank you all for your support. Um opportunities that you give students like us to do this creates a wonderfully unique experience at Westg that like really shapes our learning and everyone in the club who's involved. So we have some little goodie bags. Um but thank you little notes. I know the kids uh outdid us earlier, but thank you notes with some stickers and one of our very own chapstick. >> Thank you. >> Isn't that nice? >> Absolutely. Right. Right. >> West G. >> And I didn't even get through our whole >> So, who who did the label? I love this, by the way. Nice job. Nice job. WestGB's original >> technology program. They have like a big printer. >> That's awesome. >> Maybe that's awesome. >> You could

come up with two more for the board members who voted today on the board. >> I'm not going to take yours away. >> A picture. Yes. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> Please take a picture. And if you look up, you'll see our our very first honey sale. >> You might recognize the person buying it, >> maybe. >> And her husband was very pleased with the honey. I can assure you it's delicious. It was del. It's gone. Of course, Kathy immediately >> I had one question for the group. >> Are you going to be able to uh keep the bees live over the winter? >> Oh, yes. Yeah. um the youth beeworks that we work with, they come out and do very very good care of our hive and so we get to go out with them.

Um and as we learn more, we could do some things on our own, but like they've already completely winterized the hive and are still going out and checking on the bees to make sure they're they're doing great. Um we do hope to expand uh next school year. So like this year we're we're going to stick with our one hive and um the educational program. We're writing a grant so we can continue with the education uh with youth beeworks and um hopefully next year we'll be able to uh raise enough of funds from selling our honey and uh chapstick and anything else we come up with um to be able to put in a second hive and be expand the program. >> So how many pounds of honey did you get from the one hive? We

got um Well, >> I don't know about >> we didn't do it by pounds, but there are >> 4 oz jars. >> Good. >> Great. >> Yeah, >> good start. >> And and a pound of beeswax. >> Yeah, Mr. Manbound. >> What? >> 44 4 oz jars. >> Yes, I'm an English teacher. >> I Yes, you are, Kathleen. >> As am I. >> There are there are 16 ounces in a pound. >> He's just showing off. That's fine. He's just showing off. >> But I have to tell you, it's it's so fun to watch a program from its inception, you know, as a thought process. And I can assure you when Mrs. Morgano and uh Dr. Davis came to me and uh with this idea, I was like, what? Um so it's so fun and

and we're so grateful that Carrie and Amy both happened to be here to to see it. >> And thank you to you too as well. Yes. >> Yeah. Thanks. Thanks to you guys cuz you know you can't do this if you don't get student involvement and you guys have the enthusiasm is great. >> It's like a whole new experience for so many. >> It's wonderful. >> It's a lifetime lifelong experience. Something you can use your whole life. >> Thank you again. >> Best job guys. >> Thank you for being here. >> Thanks Dr. Ben & Kasa. That was the best part of the meeting tonight for sure. I think we've got we've got a lot of good stuff going on. So, >> those those Lindsay kids um outdid us in terms of organization and getting

through the meeting. I was so impressed. They stayed. I mean, I that was great. We failed compared to them. Let them know. >> Well, I know that they have talked about the work of the board and I think uh appropriate during board appreciation month uh to hear from our students. So, I was glad that they were able to do it. >> Well, now it's time it's time for uh public remarks. And we do have uh two people um Brand Brandon Davis and Jay Grulick. So we'll have Brandon first. >> And then just say your name and uh your address when you >> Sure. Brandon Davis 9559 Winchester Valley. I just I have to be here tonight. So I fig but um at the township I'm township township trustee uh we decided to start looking at

put something together around America 250 celebrations this year and we're looking forward to hopefully partnering with the uh school district. >> That's good. I'm loud enough for the room but they can't maybe on that. >> But um we've been talking with the superintendent and the administration about some ideas. So, we're really looking forward to hopefully partnering and bringing the school and the township together. And I'm sure you'll probably hear more about that as meat gets around it and if we can find out if we can really do it. But, uh, just hopefully when all that comes to your plate, we can have your approval and partner together on a great America 250 celebration this summer. >> Sounds like a great idea. >> Thank you. >> Yeah. C can I I mean I'm not necessarily responding

to that but one of the things that we tried when when Mark came onto the joint rec board was that um we asked that the joint rec board is responsible for I it's in their hands to to get Newbury to be part of of that group. So hopefully we can work with Chester and with the school board to get because they're we're we're responsible for their property too. I mean, they they have their property is, you know, part of OSG and they don't have a representation. So, you know, if we can get the the joint rec board to to follow through on that and to get them to have three representatives as well that they're that township I think it comes from, isn't that right, Bill? I'm pretty sure. >> I'm sure their bylaws I'm

sure board to to >> they'll have to change their bylaws probably to to add. >> Yeah, but I Well, I think Yeah. that that organization would have to do it. I don't think Chester has anything to do with right those >> but Chester has three. >> Yeah. Oh, fair enough. I got you. Okay. Just in the spirit of cooperation passing. >> I was going to say I think just in influence if there's any influence that you have and at the very least it would make sense if we put one on. >> Yeah. >> Right. I mean we >> Well, I don't I don't know that we could. It has to be like Newbury having the ability to put three people on as >> I think they're talking about two different things. >> Yeah. >> But

why why could >> if we could get somebody from Newbury to be Yeah. >> That's what I mean because I would >> and we did try to do that before but we didn't have any >> candidate candidate. Exactly. >> So >> good. Um, Miss Grulick. >> I am Jackie Grulick. I reside at 12924 Canyon Drive in Chesterland. I came here to speak, but when I saw it was standing room only, uh, I wasn't sure I was going to stay. But while suffering through the tax and budget hearing alongside all of the parents and grandparents who waited patiently for the presentations, I decided it was all the more important to do so. After all, it does seem as if West Giaga is an escape room at this point. I wanted to voice my concerns as well

as my disappointment in the decision to stick with the eighth grade trip to DC. Given the current state of affairs, I believe it is ill advised. In closing, I urge you to replace the dilapidated sign that fronts Chilikothy Road in front of the high school. It is a daily sad reminder of what we have to be proud of in this school district. Thank you for your time. >> Thank you. Okay, moving on to uh for the regular board meeting uh resolution 024 to approve routine matters of the West Yaga Local School Board of Education. Could I have a motion? >> So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> Do we vote to add these as a consent agenda or do we vote each motion >> there? This is basically um it's a consent agenda, but

you we do have to so we're consenting to all of the6045. Yeah, that's fine. So, can you remind me who took the motion? >> I moved. Yeah. >> And bill seconded. >> Any other discussion on this? >> Call the role, please. >> Mrs. Clayole, >> yes. >> Mr. Levenworth. Resolution 038 is a resolution to approve the 2627 high school program of studies. >> So I'll move >> second. >> Any further discussion? >> Yeah, just real quick. So is this like is this do we publish this on the website? Okay. Yes. I thought I read through I thought it was great. Like it's like a course catalog. Those that are interested in what do you learn in high school? It's right there. Right. Uh that's a whole class collection. Yeah. I just because I from time to time I I hear like well I don't know what their classes are and stuff like that. Where's the list of the curriculum?

>> That's it. That's it. >> Tada. Right. >> Yes. And we do the timing as such. We do it now because we will start with immediiacy. Kids will start selecting courses. Um so this is when when we add a course. Um this is uh your time as a board to approve the curriculum of West Local Schools at the secondary level. This is the process through which we do it. >> Great. >> Yeah, it it's it was pretty detailed. It was well done. Um >> did you Great. >> Yeah. Yeah. No, I I thought it was good. >> Ryan wrote the whole thing himself. >> Oh, I'm sure he did. Yeah. >> He's an English teacher. He knew how to do that. >> He was math. Let me assure you. >> I I was actually I

I was impressed with the number of classes that you you know, the kinds of classes that you teach. I mean it's a pretty broad you know forens forensics I thought boy would I have loved to have taken that when I was in high school >> expanding for this year every year we and looked at more and >> and kudos to the high school staff because they're always on board whether >> um I have a crazy idea has a crazy idea or they have their own crazy ideas they want to work with things and >> um they jump on board and they're always looking Right. >> And and you said it's available to the public. >> Yes, it's listed online. Uh I think through our guidance uh counselor web page. I think that's great as well

for people about that. Yeah, I think that's great. And and what happens if I mean how do you like do know if a class is full? Well, you know what I mean when you offer all those classes? >> We offer all of these, but we can't run them all. >> Okay. >> Um we don't have enough staff to run all these classes. So what we do is so when students select classes right um when I run through the master schedule I'm sorry dive into student schedules um I work with the the school counselors they give me lists of >> okay >> who requested what and I look at it right just like we had in years past we' run um numerous CCP classes or tried to but if there's one or two kids that run

it it's the same thing with electives right so Um a good example would be um our public speaking class this year, right? So u Mrs. OMA had been pushing it for for many years and we hadn't had students to enough students to fill it this year. She had done a lot of work on the back end. So then it it filled it up this year. So >> that's great. That's you know like what is that one of the top two fears is public speaking. >> That's right. Kudos. >> Imagine all those naked people out there. That's what they teach us. >> We've noticed right now. >> We've noticed. >> Any any other discussion on this? >> There there was one course that I like. So I have a 16-year-old daughter that just turned 16. There's

one course that I hear parents saying, "Doesn't the school do this anymore?" And it's driver's ed, right? And we haven't done it for a month of Sundays as I understand it. Right. Uh any interest? I don't know. Is there a reason we stopped or I don't know? We we I mean >> or like we hosted suburban >> speaking from experience when I was here back in >> 2000s, right? So, um I did it but it was run by a >> company that utilized our classrooms in the evening and it ran like you know one night for like four hours and you sit there and go through all the videos and stuff. The problem is a lot of people don't want to come in enough to actually make it worth their company's while because so many

company companies offer it virtually. Yes. >> So they can purchase a class, they can do it virtually, they can sit in their home or in their bedroom, plow through it, they get their credit, they can go get their license. So the companies now it's just, you know, >> it's private. They I don't think any schools do it anymore. >> No, no one does it in house just because also >> um times are different. Yeah. 15 and a half year olds in cars aren't they're not risky, are they? >> Bringing random. >> Sure. Sure. >> I'm with you. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Any further discussion? Call the role, please. >> Mrs. Clayful. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmire. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Resolution 039 is a resolution to

approve the 2627 um West Yiaga Middle School program of studies. So move >> second. >> Any discussion? >> Likewise. Well done. >> Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Quel. >> Yes. Great. Thank you. Resolution 040 is a resolution to approve the first reading of the following new policies. 4162.01. Revised policies 4122 1623 2260 2260.01 2430.02 2431 3122 3123 3130 4122 4123 4162 5130 5200 5410 7540.02 2, 8,400, 8460, 8600, 8600.04, 8640, 8650, 9270, and resend the policies 1422.02, 1662, 3122.02, 3362, 4122.02, 4362, and 7541. >> So move second. Many of these pardon me, many of these policies are updating um some are simply grammatical corrections um in this round of policy updates. Some are following some changes in law. Um some are rescension of policies

that are duplications. So you see um the recensions that are the 0.02. They have policies that have the first four numbers um being updated and they are duplications in terms of policies. One of the argument or pardon me one of the criticisms of board policy is there are so many board policies that Niola who is our organization that we work with to keep our policies updated oftent times attempts to resend policies that are superfluous um to keep the number of board policies more manageable. And you're seeing some of that here in this round. Um, every six to eight months or so, Niola sets forth a new round of policies. Um, we've been working to get on uh updated. Um, Mrs. Clayool asked me if we were updated. I mistakenly said that we were. This is

the last round that gets us updated. Now, we will have, ironically, another round coming out at the end of January. So, there will be another round. So it will seem like you're doing board policies for the first few months of the year and then we will go cycllically to every couple of months unless there's legislative legislative changes that would demand us to look at a policy in between those times and that happens often too. So that's um where we are in terms of policy updates um and I happy to speak more to any of them. happy to speak more between the first and second reading if you have questions on any of them in particular. >> And just for two new board members, um so much of this, as you said, is coming from the

Ohio Revised Code. I mean, if there's if there's new legislation that changes and and Neiola will will flag our policies. We're not creating new policy here. Basically, we're we don't want to have more policies. >> Sure. >> Right. That's why we mostly why have to do this. >> I was glad to see that they consolidated some of these that especially to do with harassment. It was like we had it all many policies. That's >> all of those are Yes. Each one has one reension attached to it. >> Yeah. >> I'd also point out for the benefit particularly of our note people that this is basically like a motion to get things out on the table for us to discuss. So now is the time for you to be thoroughly reading through the policies and see

if there's anything that you want to change. Sometimes there are options that you pick this option or that option, delete this line and that is indicated in these policies as you read through them and then you what you are feeling about the policies. you get to the superintendent and she will compile them and make suggestions, changes, whatever, come back to the board and it's the second reading that then really approves whatever we've come up with as a policy. Sometimes uh it may be that we can't get it resolved on the second reading in which case the policy would be tabled until we can um discuss it more and figure out how to revise it more and get legal counsel on on any changes. But uh this is just a matter of getting it out so

that you can sort of look at it and make comments on it. We used to when we first started doing this when we had Nola we had three readings um because so many of the policies were new and and now because they're so many are revised or something having to do with a revised code we have shortened it to two. >> Yeah. I mean my reading like a lot of this was just semant it was semantics right. I mean there wasn't a material change. I mean my first blush is like we're getting rid of anti- discrimination. I was like what are we doing right? and then you read through and you're getting rid of it and then >> beefing up the one policy. So, >> and if there's anything that needs to be done right

away, we can wave the readings too and and move it forward. >> Um, even sometimes when it seems kind of like, you know, they instead of, you know, it's a pronoun change or something that seems confusing. Um, it allows us to stamp mark. We have looked at this policy at this point. It was up to date with OC. So it it does give us some historical data about when is the last time we as as a board um and administrative team looked at that policy too. So >> yep. >> Thanks. >> Makes sense. >> Any other discussion? >> Does it come driven from from here specifically or is it always coming from Nola? >> It's always coming from Niola. Although it we usually take it through Neiola. They um they keep a close watch on

it and they have a rotation that they help us keep um basically up to date with obviously when things change in law um it it goes immediately and skips the rotation and goes through Niola but we typically sit with Niola take a look at it to make sure that we're aligned um with the law. >> Okay, everyone okay? >> Yep. >> Call the RO please. >> Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clayool. >> Yes. Does that work? Yes. >> Okay. And for the business resolution, resolution 041, resolution to approve college credit plusou between Kent State and Westiaga local schools. >> Second. >> Any discussion? Call the role, please. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clayool. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Naylor.

>> Yes. >> Um I would suggest at this point adding the um resolution. >> We'll call it resolution 042. >> Or well, >> we need a motion or something. >> It's 017 in the original agenda. It's resolution 017. >> We can stick with that, right? >> Should we call it 017B? >> Maybe we can Okay. It's a table. We can vote to take it off the table there. Yes. First, let's do that. >> So, I'll make a motion to uh take uh resolution 007 >> 017. Sorry. Off the table. >> For consideration >> to Yeah. 017 to authorize the board, president, and treasurer to borrow funds. I'm going to remove that from the table. >> Okay. Any discussion on that? No. Call the role on that. >> Okay. Wait a second. Well, you're not. >>

I don't know whether Karen's going to be able to read my I know >> my records here. It's recorded. So, >> yeah. Um, Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Uh, Mrs. Clayool. >> Yes. >> Mr. Levvenworth. Yes. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmar. >> Yes. >> There's something about So, now we thanking Karen watching this is now breathing again. There's something compelling about that. So, my apologies to Karen. >> We need to get get Now we need to consider the motion. >> Yeah, Karen is now ready to sleep and I'm sorry for Karen. So, do we make It was 017. So, now we need a motion to to add 017. We're going to add res. >> We just brought it back. It already had a motion. We had a I moved and Dr. Beer seconded

and >> that's just to take it off the table. So, now we're saying so now we're going to vote on it. So, 017 resolution to authorize the board, president, and treasurer to borrow funds. Could I have a motion? It's already been moved. >> Well, it we we tabled it. We brought it back from the table. Now, the mo the motion was already made, but it was tabled. So, we're just bringing that motion back. We don't need to make the motion again. >> Okay. So, any discussion? >> We just had it. >> Yeah. I mean, I would like to make an amendment to this for just until we have a better understanding for some reasonable limit. Uh, you know, like, I don't know, $500,000 or something. Just I I just don't feel comfortable writing it wide

open without Yeah. Instead of making an amendment, >> um, because we don't know exactly what you want to amend it for, why don't you say, >> you know, we'll ask the treasur, >> it doesn't need to be part of the motion, but ask the treasur to come back and and uh inform us, give us better information about it and then >> because I guess we could just bring another resolution if I don't just so we're informed about it and if we want to change it, >> that's good feedback. Yeah, I'll take that. Yeah. Make it be a motion >> because there would be a policy against a certain level of expenditure that the board would have to act on that we wouldn't be able to do ourselves. >> That's what I'm saying. I'm sure there's

a policy that covers this limits, but we don't I don't know what it is. >> I don't want to say the wrong amount, but it's there's something I think it's like 25,000. There's some actual limit where it would we would not be able to authorize the purchase without board approval. Right. >> I I don't think we want to amend this because we don't know parameters. >> That's fine. that that that's totally reasonable. >> Okay. So, we're going to leave the 017 as standing and >> yeah, I made the motion on. >> All right. So, call the role, please. >> Mr. >> I. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clay. >> Yes. >> Mr. Lew. Mrs. Naylor. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Now, back to board resolutions. Yes. Me. >> 042.

Resolution to approve middle school baseball as a co club sport for the 2026 calendar year. >> Could I have a motion? >> Mrs. Naylor. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> Call the role, please. >> Dr. Beers, >> yes. >> Mrs. Clay, >> yes. >> Mrs. Leworth, yes. Mrs. Naylor, >> yes. >> Mr. Bidmark, >> yes. >> Okay. Is there procedurally is there any new business or suggestions to be included on future agenda? >> You're going to do that in yours? >> I am. >> Yeah. So, we're going to cover the >> Okay. >> working session under a superintendent report. So, for this is there any other >> Did you text then >> move on to the superintendent report? Perfect. Thank you so much. So, um, for all of you that have been following along, nine

years later, we're ready to talk to you about bid proposals for the water treatment um, center and the new well um, on the main campus. We have uh, two proposals. We've been working with the companies to um answer questions, understand the uh specific specificity of the bids and we would we think due to the nature of um the extent of the project, it would behoove us to have a work session. And so um for us to go over the bids, talk about the project, uh for you to have a better understanding rather than to just put it on as a board line item for a vote. Um, so I would ask us today if we could come up with some dates and times that might work for that. Um, also at that meeting work session,

um, I do have I've reached out to some organizations about the stakeholder outreach that Dr. Beers asked about at our last meeting. So, I would ask that those two be the line items of that work session so that we could discuss both an open session and give us an opportunity to have kind of a more robust conversation and not make your board meeting tonight 5 hours long instead. So, um do does do you have dates here? Shall we >> can you send out a monkey or something? >> Yes, happy to do so. a survey monkey and yes, I'll I'll I'll send out a way for you to make some selections and then we'll try to get something that where everybody's available and we'll give you some options >> and and this will be uh considered

a special meeting. >> So, we'll have to put it in the paper. What is it? 3 days. >> Yes, >> 3 days. Okay. We just have to keep that in mind once we choose the >> Y. So, we'll we won't start next week. We'll look at the week after. Um, we were thinking the week after or the first week of February were some of the times that we thought because we're actually still getting a couple of things answered about the board the bids. So, we want to make sure we have all the information to to give to you guys. Okay. Um, Scott Vera will be with us at that meeting too to answer questions >> from Osborne. >> Yes. From Osborne. >> And I think it's important to understand that this is a a working

session. >> Yes. so that we can have as you said more discussion about it and not my understanding would be it would not be up to time that we would make a decision. >> Correct. >> Just a time for us to get better informed >> and so we would really like to get this done as soon as possible. Yes. >> So that we can then make the official decision >> in the February regular meeting >> and get the process moving forward. >> Yes. because the timeline of the project is extensive and so we we would want to start as soon as the board feels comfortable doing. >> So I would suggest we sort of keep the first week of February open. I mean is that at least a week to start? We can start there

and schedule it >> or even the week before >> or the week before. We'll give you we'll give you some dates. How early is the >> is a 4:00 start impossible for people? 5:00. >> Four o'clock's reasonable for me. >> Depends on the day. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Dr. Beers is sticking his nose up at me. >> Yeah. Five o'clock. Maybe is 5:00. >> Are still working? >> I know. Bill, would 5:00 be okay or >> I I can do four. >> Okay. Well, we'll give you different ranges and >> depends on the day like so. >> Sure. >> How long do you think this is going to last? That's a rhetorical question, but >> Right. >> And so, we'll talk through so the the filtration system and then the stakeholder. I mean, I'd

like to utilize that opportunity too to kind of talk about like just our general approach, right? And I, you know, uh, and and try and get some of those feelings out, you know, in terms of things that we need to be focused on, right? Like start thinking about that strap plan approach. >> I don't think there's time for that, Mark. >> Yeah. >> In a >> in this meeting, I don't think there's time >> in this work session. >> Yes. >> I think this work session is going to take some significant time to work through all of that. what you're talking about I think is a more extensive discussion. >> I'd agree. Yeah, I definitely agree. Yeah. >> And so >> perhaps we'll add it as an agenda item and talk about the process through

which you might want to attack that and say we have to be pretty >> Yeah, we don't have to work through this >> and we have to be very specific in this. So, and then that's all we can talk about. So, let's let's add it as an agenda item to at least discuss the next steps >> point for newer board members to get caught up. Say again, Ellen, I'm sorry. >> There may be some things available some things available um prior to for new board members to get caught up. That's going to be my first discussion. >> Um yes, about it. Scott would Scott and I will work to prepare at least um a memo that at least outlines the process to date so you'll understand the work that's gone in the >> why I

say nine years. Although from idea inception, >> it doesn't have to be all nine years. We won't start nine years. >> So, so I'm not just jumping in >> chapter one. Ellen, get ready. It is going to be reading to >> none of us want nine years. >> Yeah, Scott. >> All right. >> So, I'm going to call the third line item board goals and planning something to that effect. Okay. And then we can work on >> at least an initial conversation. Thank you. I don't think we're going to get deep into that. >> Process for establishing forc project's going to take knowing I do too and we can always um have a secondary one after the February meeting. >> Um second, Mr. Davis um spoke to this earlier in his public comment. Um, obviously

the 250th anniversary is coming up and um, I'm told that historically this has been a place of um, fireworks and I think that there is some desire to um, have our stadium as a place where individuals could watch them and u, WestG behind the fields would be a place that they could uh, we wouldn't pay for the fireworks but we would house the fireworks. So really what I'm asking tonight is that the board would okay Karen to contact our insurance provider to see what that might look like. Um and we can then give you what the option may be if that would be a desire on your part. >> Yeah. Absolutely. Sort of. >> Yeah. And they're going to want the people who have the fireworks to provide >> correct insurance. Correct. But we just

would like to see on our end what that would entail and what we would need to do um to partner with the township. So without any objections, I I'll have Karen look to that or Karen. >> Yeah, just get information. >> Perfect. Thank you. Um Saturday we had our first ever uh open house for parents and families rather that were thinking of Westiaga schools. So, um Amy, uh and went to the preschools to deliver information. So, and Sarah Healey, they they were the instrument behind the planning. We had no idea what to expect. We had an hour and a half at Westwood open, an hour and a half at Lindsay, and were blown away by the numbers that came through. So, um it was great. It was lots of families had great questions and saw

the classroom, spoke to the administrators that were there. Um, I showed up in jeans because it was Saturday. Everybody else was dressed up. So, there you go. Making basic putting my best foot forward. I was like, I'm the superintendent. They were like, really? Okay. Um, but we were very, very pleased and I think um we'll definitely do it each year. The timing, I think, was great in early January as an opportunity um for young families making decisions to see West Giaga and the opportunities that we have for children. So it was well attended and um very well done. So appreciate my administrative team behind that. Thank you. >> So So which schools >> we did it at West Wood and uh Lindsay. Typically when we have secondary students that are looking, they come and shadow

for a day. So that's more like a of a rolling situation. So these we had a lot of incoming kindergarten families that were looking around and there were hugs, there were mood bracelets, there was a fun to be had. So it was a great time. Parents had lots of great questions. Um we were all busy answering questions about programming and transportation. Our why before and afterare program were there to answer questions in case families needed that. So it it was very nice. We we have great ideas to broaden it for next year and um but it was it was lovely and and we were very I was very pleased. >> Is this the first time you've done that? >> Yes. That's good. Oh, good. Good. Sarah, great. >> Sarah's sitting in the back trying not

to take credit, but that's okay, Sarah. We know. Good job. She did a great job. >> Um and last, you um may remember that at our last board meeting you approved a speech and debate club. Um and so, hey, guess what? We brought home a trophy already. All right. >> Ask and you shall receive. So, um, the student that was participating, Ana Ballis submaranian participated in the Hathaway Brown tournament over the weekend, placed second and earned a birth at the state tournament. So, um, we're so proud of her. Um, she's a really great kid and, uh, I have a feeling you'll meet her at some point to recognize her. But um her mother and our coach said that how pleased she was and sent the information and a picture of Ana holding a trophy. So

I said that I would share that with the board tonight. But I'm sure you'll have a chance to congratulate her in person. And I think you know her early success should lay lay great pave work paving ground for others to join. And I know that was the hope of the board. So >> I got a question about that. >> Is that limited to the high school? Yes, it is limited to the high school students at this point. This >> because I had a family with a girl in the middle school. >> Mhm. >> 8th grade, I think, that was interested. >> Oh, wow. Okay. Well, >> I told her to talk to the principal. >> Great. I think there were some third, fourth, and fifth graders here tonight that might be interested in them. I

think they don't seem to need much coaching at this point. >> They're not going to. That was great. >> Are we just participating in a certain organization or just they could go wherever? >> It's a certain organization. We have to register. So, we have not for as long as I think I've been here had a speech and debate. I know that we did in the past, but for the past several years, we did not have um interest and we didn't have a speech and debate club. So, um we have uh speech and debate club now in that the student um was already very involved in that. So, it is an organization. It's a statewide organization. Um they will travel throughout the state in different tournaments and dependent upon your placement in the tournaments that you

qualify to go to states. Um so we will hear more from this student um their national competitions too depending upon how they would be able to place at states. So um we will have more information. You'll get to meet her I'm sure. Okay. >> And Ryan, do you remember when you were in high school was there a mock trial? There was mock trial. Yeah, along the same kind of lines of >> I would have gotten into >> Yeah, >> they weren't accepting math students at that time. >> And I recall when you were in high school, there were several people in mock trial that were uh very good. >> Yeah. >> Very well. >> Wasn't you? >> No, >> I was on the ice. >> Right. Breaking up instead. And then finally, I just want

to take the opportunity to say, and we've heard it from our students today, and obviously my staff here, um, that gets to see your work and your dedication over and over, for our new board members, um, we're grateful that you're joining us. We welcome you to the party. There's lots of work to do. Um, to our to our stalwart uh, three in the middle, I appreciate you. I appreciate the work, the effort that goes in. People don't understand it. Um, but certainly we do. We see it every day. So, we are grateful to you. Thank you. I have certificates and I will make sure that you get them uh before you leave here tonight. So, thanks. >> Thanks, Dr. Ben & Kasa. >> Thank you. >> All right. 043 resolution to adjourn to executive session.

Could I have a motion? Then I'll read the >> So move. >> Second. >> All right. So whereas the West Yaga Local School District Board of Education is committed to conducting its business in compliance with the Ohio Open Meetings Act as set forth in Ohio Revised Code section 121.22. And whereas Ohio Revised Code section 121.22G1 22 G1 permits a public body to enter into executive session to conference with an attorney for the public body concerning disputes involving the public body that are the subject of pending or imminent court action and and now therefore be it resolved by the Westiaga Local School District Board of Education that it shall enter into executive session at 8:47 >> 7 >> I mean 7:47 feel at 7:4 1947 to conference with an attorney for the public body concerning disputes

involving the public body that are the subject of pending or imminent court action as permitted under Ohio Revised Code sections 121.22G1. Any discussion? Could I roll call please? Or could I have a motion? >> Well, we have the motion. >> We have the motion. >> That's right. Could I have roll call? Um, do you want >> Oh, um, there will be and there will be no action after the, um, after the meeting. >> Um, and Karen will be joining by phone. >> Okay. Karen will be joining by phone. Dr. Ben & Cassa will be in there along with our attorney, >> Eric. Okay. >> Great. >> Thank you, >> Mrs. Naylor. Roll call. >> Yes. >> Mr. Vidmire. >> Yes. >> Dr. Beers. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Clay. >> Yes. >> Mr. Lemore. Yes. Okay,

>> thanks. I know. >> I know. I think so well prepared psychology. All right, Kathy's coming. >> Oh, I mean went in tears. >> Our audience of one. Thank you. >> Come on. Your nose is growing. Okay. >> It shows that everybody's back. >> Good idea. Yeah. What she said. Let the let the minutes >> Let the minutes reflect >> reflect

that all board members have reconvened at 8:5.
