[clears throat] >> All right, it is 7:03. Call the meeting to order. We have a quorum. We'll start with the Pledge of Allegiance. >> I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Okay, there are no amendments to the agenda. Anticipation. [snorts] No one signed up. Okay. No one signed up for that, so moving on to approval of school board resolution resolving the unity of June 2025 minutes. So, >> [snorts] >> Well, and this is what we talked about the last meeting was the I don't I don't want to say the wording or interpretation was quite a bit different and we weren't quite sure. Sarah and I worked on it and worked
through it. Finally, we sent the email to Jim Williams and Jim kind of gave us the guidance on and I said, "You guys need to clean it up this way." And Sarah and I you talked to him. Do you want to share? >> I do. I actually even printed off the email [clears throat] if you would like me to read it so you're aware. So, he just said um So, he said, "Under this framework, the timeline is constructed as follows. The June 2024 vote authorized a two-year contract running from July 1st to 2024 to June 30th, 2026. The June 2025 vote, the board voted for a two-year renewal. Instead of waiting for the 2024 contract to fully expire, this action was construed as a reset or a one-year extension of the contract creating a new
two-year block running from July 5th, 2025 to June June 30th, 2027. Current status, June 2026, the administrators are currently in the middle of this contract. They have exactly one year remaining on their terms. Because the contracts are construed to expire June 30th of 2027, the board does not need to take any renewal action at this upcoming meeting. The board simply refrains from voting on any extension. The contracts will naturally enter their final year and expire on the desired date unless they're renewed beforehand provided requires statutory statutory notice of non-renewal has been provided in a timely manner. While this strategy avoids a controversial and legally possible vote to reduce the terms, the district's paperwork for this period remains to secure this arrangement. The board should take a two clean-up action at this upcoming meeting to pass
a clarifying resolution. The board should pass a resolution resolving of the June 2025 minutes. The resolution should state, which is what I have written in the resolution. It will execute the physical paperwork. After passing the clarifying resolution, the physical contracts have not been reissued since 2024, so I will reissue them after this is approved. Um, then he uh just pretty much says the potential risk of um the administrators being maybe a little pushback. >> Yeah. So, you know, we're not changing the contract in the middle of the contract. We're just basically cleaning up some language and voting on this resolution is what we're doing tonight. So, the administrators contracts would expire June 30th, 2027 like it says in the resolution. >> Every administrator's contract, just so we're clear, every administrator's contracts expires June 30, 2027.
>> Yes. >> Thank you. >> Principals, assistants, uh and everyone that's in the amendment. Which includes IT director, athletic director. Am I missing anyone? >> No, not transportation. >> Not transportation, is it? >> Mhm. >> So, I will entertain a motion. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Jerry with the motion, True with the second. Any questions or discussion? So, I will say we spoke earlier, um just one thing I personally would like to see March 1st is the drop-dead, I guess, deadline, um as far as us giving any type of notice to administrators for renewal or non-renewal. We And if we plan to move with non-renewal, we would have to give them a 30-day notice, uh written notice, uh prior to the non-renewal. So, if we weren't going to renew someone on March 1st, we'd
have to approve or give the written notice sometime in late January. Um obviously, 28 days in February, so um what we kind of talked about was at least moving forward, maybe looking at December being able to tell our administrators "Hey, we plan on moving forward with you." That way they're not waiting, sweating it out till the last second. I think we owe that to our administrators. Um that way they're not nervous till the last second. But that's something we can discuss later moving forward. So, today we're just passing the resolution. So, any other questions or discussion as far as this? Okay, so Jerry with the motion, Jerry with the second. All those in favor? >> Aye. >> All those opposed? >> No. >> Any other comments? >> No, I I appreciate you guys coming out
on such a beautiful evening. And uh I also want to make it public, but happy birthday. Sorry we had to pull you out on your birthday for this and uh we just go and enjoy. >> Any [clears throat] comments? All right, thank thank you for attending. So, we'll adjourn the meeting >> 7:10 >> Just sign in real quick.
