013Monday night, I had the pleasure of attending the AIS staff versus student game that benefited one of our fourth grade teachers who's battling cancer. This community event hit an all-time high in ratings with staff, students, and the Austin Town community raising over $5,400 for that teacher. I want to give a shout out to a few individuals that made this night so successful. Brian Sullie, the president of the boys basketball boosters. The partnersh that partnership allows these events to be spectacular. Brian does a great job. Our three varsity basketball players, Brady Evans, Juny Higgs, and EJ Giles that displayed sportsmanship and created an exciting atmosphere for all in attendance, especially the young young students that got to play alongside them. And last, but certainly not least, Lis Lisa Fitzgerald. None of this would happen without Lisa

014Fitzgerald, who is the AIS guidance counselor and is the driving force behind this event. This is Lisa's 12th year, would be 13, but CO canceled one of them, of organizing one of these fundraisers with her amazing team of fellow staff members that benefit one of our own, whether it's a family, a student, or one of our employees. Thank you for the surrounding a family with hope and love. Doing for others, giving your time to help, and coming together as a community is the greatest lesson we can teach our students, and we are blessed with the best. I also want to piggyback on congratulations AES. We're very, very proud of you and your team. And to our girl wrestlers, um it it's phenomenal. We have we have great athletes. We have great students in our district.
