002personnel report purpose of the meeting. >> Absolutely. The personnel report, we have one item on the agenda, which is the hiring of the athletic director. That would be Kristen Levelvel. I would recommend approval. We have a recommendation for the approval of Kristen Levelvel as the new athletic director. Do I have a motion? >> I'll make a motion. >> I'll second that. >> Have a motion and a second. You guys were excited about that. Is there any discussion? All right. Now for uh virtual land out there and for the recording, we'll read briefly from the press release that we have for you. And uh we are very excited to have you back home to say the least. Martinsville High School
003is proud to announce the hiring of Kristen Levelvel as the a school's new athletic director. A 1998 graduate of Martinsville High School, Levelville returns home to lead the Artisian athletic program after 17 years in education and numerous years of coaching experience ranging from college to youth sports. Her background in education, leadership, and student development makes her a strong addition to the Martinsville community and athletic department. Levelville said she is excited to return home and serve the Artisian nation while supporting student ath athletics, coaches, and the Martinsville community. Personally, I think uh this this was like a a no-brainer bringing somebody this talented. 1998, I was around then, myself, uh Kip out there. We were around watching your leadership on the court and how you conducted yourself uh leading two state championship teams. Uh but then
004watching you from afar as you've uh pursued your education career. We wanted to get you here in a couple other capacities and uh this is a perfect one, perfect fit. So we are very excited to have you as taking the helm. I think you are the fourth athletic director uh since Mr. Stags. How long are we talking? Since 1975. That is a testament. So I think we're turning it over to great hands and you've got somebody real close by to call if you need anything. But our stewardship in the athletic department has been exemplary for years and we think you're going to carry that baton and sprint to the finish for us and take us uh where we need to go in the fine fashion that you can lead. So congratulations and welcome back home.
