We had Joseph Robinson on second chair, Barry Sachs, Jonathan Clark, third euphonium, Trey

009Brown, third horn, and Isaac Mark's third trumpet. Uh, as you can see, we only have three members with us tonight. That is because the others are all at rehearsal with different groups as well outside of Carl Albert. So, uh, music community is live and well, and we have a lot of great things going on. Um, and then lastly, we had two Allstate members who couldn't be here tonight. Mr. Isaac Marks uh was third chair trumpet for the All State Symphonic Band and then Trey Brown was fifth chair horn uh for the All State orchestra. Uh this was Trey's first year and Isaac is a third year a three-year allstator as well which is a really big deal. Um and Trey Brown lastly uh has accepted and receive received and accepted a full ride scholarship opportunity

010to OCU and Isaac Marks is going to going through three different universities trying to figure out which one. They're all giving them lots of big scholarships and everything. So, we've got a lot of talent. We're really excited for all of us. So, thank you. [applause] >> Congratulations, >> President Sanders, Dr. Cob, members of the board. gives me great pleasure to once again bring up Miss Lauren Meadows and she is in her ninth year as our Carlbert High School orchestra actually Carl Albert program orchestra director >> hello again these ones have done this once or twice good evening again President Sandridge Dr. Cob and members of the board. Tonight, I would like to recognize the following students for receiving superior ratings for their solos at district solo and ensemble. Caitlyn Hour, Joe Barks, Meredith Curtis, Riley

011Godby, Aiden Hamilton, and Ella Stockinger. Additionally, Riley Godby and Liam Wilson received a superior rating for their cello duet, and the chamber orchestra received a superior rating for their performance as a large ensemble. All of the students you see before you will represent the Midell Fine Arts at State Solen Ensemble next month. Finally, these students stand here as a representation of the Carl Labbert orchestra program as a whole, which throughout this year received superior ratings for their performances at both the string orchestra and full orchestra contest. They received an overall achievement award and as well a distinguished academic achievement award. These students are incredibly dedicated and we're so proud of the work they've put in this year. Thank you again for the opportunity to recognize our wonderful fine arts students. If you are friends of

012family, if you are friends or family here to support these students tonight, will you please stand and be recognized at this time? Thank you. [applause] [laughter] >> Look at top. Congratulations, [applause] >> President Sanders, Dr. Cobb, and members of the board. On behalf of Miss Randa Mitchell, who could not be here this evening, Carlbert High School vocal music teacher, she would like to say thank you for taking the time to recognize our fine arts students tonight. We have seven allstate choir members this year. Students begin learning music at the beginning of the school year, have a first round audition in October, a second round in November, and have been selected for the All State Choir. Students traveled to Tulsa and Oklahoma City to rehearse and presented amazing concerts in January. Ninth grade student Isabella Jacobs

013was selected for the Oklahoma Coral Directors Association Junior High Allstate Choir. Also, Jia Adams, Kira Boyd, Tama Cotton, Riley Davidson, Kayie Larson, and Kendall White were all selected for the Oklahoma Music Educators Association Allstate Choir. These students also made superior ratings at district solo and ensemble contest, and we will compete at state in April. Special thanks to the students parents for supporting the fine arts. Would the parents of these students please stand so we can recognize you? Thank you again for all your recognitions. We appreciate you. >> Okay, next up we have Dell City Middle Schoolers. Good evening, President Stan, Dr. Cobb, and board. Um, Mary Sty is here from Dell City Middle School and I'm here tonight to introduce our most illustrious Miss Jackson. Uh, her dedication to our orchestra program shines through every

014day. President Sandridge, Dr. Cob, and members of the board. I'm here today to recognize some of our seventh grade orchestra members. Um, first I would like to recognize Naomi and um, she in October auditioned and was accepted into the North Central Honors Orchestra. She was the first orchestra person from Dell City in five years to make this and so we were very excited. And then all four of them on uh, Saturday compete or went to solo and ensemble OSSAA contest. They did a quartet. We've got Zariah, Naomi, Zoe, and Zariah. And they scored a superior rating. >> Excellent. [applause] >> [applause] [snorts] >> Okay, next up, Steve Gillan, Del City High School. >> Good evening, President Standridge, members of the board, and Dr. Cobb. Thank you as always for the opportunity to recognize our talented

015students. I'm very thankful uh to be surrounded by talented teachers as well. And we will kick things off with Mr. DJ Handy, our band director, with some band recognitions. >> All right. Uh good evening, President Stanidge, Vice President Kirk, members of the board, Superintendent Dr. Cob and the members of the community. My name is DJ Handy. I'm the director of bands at Del City Middle School and High School. We are here this evening to recognize eight of our band students for their success in receiving a superior rating at District Solen Ensemble at Norman High School February 28th and will be going on to OSU on April 22nd for state. Uh their names Lillian Faucet, Bella Moraga Sanchez, Tedric Pereie, Jacob Boffman, Skyler Brown, Tedric Perche again in a trio, Elena Durham and Richard Ramirez and

016Savannah Wit. We also have another student uh that I just listed, Jacob Bachoffman, who participated in OSCDA honor band uh as first alternate tuba, which is very exciting. We are very proud of them. Thank you for supporting our fine arts programs among the district and being advocates for our students as we teach and celebrate them. Thank you very much. [applause] >> Oh, family. >> I am so sorry. Thank you parents and family members as well. >> [applause] [snorts] >> President Standridge, members of the board, Dr. would like to welcome back Miss Jackson who the middle school uh shares with us. I'm very thankful for that. She is everywhere and everywhere she is. She does a fantastic job. >> President Stanidge, Dr. Cobb, members of the board. Um thank you for having us again. Um this

017time I would like to um recognize our high schoolers. Uh we actually have several things to recognize for them. first in um October, we had two students audition and make it into the um second year of the Scissor Tale Honor Orchestra that takes place at OU. And that was Jackson and Sai who couldn't be with us today. [laughter] >> She's here. >> She is a good friend. And then in November, our whole group went to OSSAA district contest and we um earned a superior rating. And so I have a few to kind of represent them. And then on Saturday, we had a big group go to OSSAA solo and ensemble, and we made several superior ratings with that. First, we had soloists um Aaliyah and Jackson and Sai all scored a superior rating. We had

018a trio that was made up of Aaliyah, Zadri, and Sai that scored superior. [laughter] A quartet, Darren, Jackson, Anthony, who couldn't be here, and Sai. [laughter] She's in a lot. And then we had our Eagle Orchestra. We performed um together and there was I think 12 of us all together and this is just a representation of them. And we also scored a superior with that. And we are going to state in April. >> Great job. All right. And finally for some visual arts celebration, uh we have Miss Tony Cox who does a fantastic job uh finding opportunities for our kids to compete in the visual arts. Miss >> Hello, President Stand. >> Go ahead. Go ahead. members of the board and Dr. I'd like to introduce Romeo. He is our 10th grade winner of the

019black history contest. And our grand prize winner 11th grade is Lillian Lopez and Liliana. I'm sorry I'm so nervous. [laughter] Okay. >> And and we're missing uh Marin Sanchez Lopez. She was our ninth grade winner. >> So they are all winners of the Thunder Oklahoma City Thunder Black Heritage Art Contest. >> I think I saw you. >> Where's the artwork currently? >> Where is the artwork currently? >> Uh >> did I have it down at the area. >> They had it at the Thunder area the February 22nd on display and they'll bring it back to us probably in the next week or so. >> Excellent. Good job. >> And I'll show you pictures of it during the superintendent report later on. >> It was really good. Yeah, was really >> talented. Talented. Very talented. They

020all earned it 100%. Okay, up next, Midwest City Middle School. Miss Sessions. >> Okay. >> President Stanbridge, members of the board, Dr. Cob, I am filling in tonight for principal sessions. She could not be here tonight, but I would like to introduce the Midwest City Middle School Fine Arts uh successes that they have had this year. And our first success was the band program. And I would like to introduce to you the band directors, Richard Rivera and Angie Stevens. [snorts] >> Good evening, President Standage. Dr. Cobb and members of the board, we would like to recognize Avery Coleman and Azriel Griffith for being selected to the 2026 OSCDA honor band. Parents, would you stand to be recognized? also. >> Scoot in. >> What the honor for Midwest City Middle School? We would now like to

021introduce the fantabulous orchestra director, Miss Paige Dmer. >> Good evening, President Sanridge, members of the board, Superintendent Dr. Cobb. My name is Paige Dmer and I'm the director of Midwest City Middle School and high school orchestra. I'm here to recognize three students who were not able to be here tonight as they were are representing our school in sporting events. These students are Olivia Hatfield who plays viola, Joslyn Borcate, who plays violin, and Kendall Green who also plays violin. They made it into the North Central Honor Orchestra. Tomorrow, our middle school seventh and eighth grade orchestra will compete at OSSAA string orchestra contest at Edmond Santa Fe. Thank you. >> Okay, up next, Midwest City High School, Miss Patterson. >> Good evening, President Stan, Dr. COB and members of the board. It is with great pleasure

022that I get to introduce um Mr. Mark Kinsley and Miss Leavon Rigggins, our band directors. President Sanders, Dr. Cobb, members of the board, [clears throat] we'd like to uh introduce some students that have been recognized for some accomplishments this year. We had Kevin Cardinis selected as all state member for trumpet. We had Kevin and Ethan selected the Oklahoma youth jazz orchestra there at rehearsal this evening. And then we also had along with those two we had Reposa Xavier Robinson and Riley Riggsby selected to the OCDA honor band. And last week we had 36 students earn superior ratings at solo and ensemble. We'd like to ask any parents or relatives also stand and be recognized at this time with your students. [applause] I would like to reintroduce Miss Dmer and a couple a few of our

023orchestra students. >> Good evening again, President Sandridge, members of the board, Superintendent Dr. Cop, and members of the community. We are here this evening to recognize several orchestra students for their success receiving a superior rating at a district solo and ensemble held at Norman High School. Uh these students are going to be going on to state as they receive superior ratings held at OSU. Uh these students here today are Kyrie Ble, Jaylen Duracet representing their quartet, Ryan Coleman representing his duet with Katherine Curl. Uh we also had several other students go and compete a solo and uh received superior ratings as that as on that as well. If you are a parent of any of these students, please stand up to be recognized as well. Thank you guys for supporting the fine arts program and

024all that you are doing to help our fine arts program in the community. >> Thank you. No, no, no. >> Thanks, guys. Thank you. >> Okay, item four, we have no public participation, so we will move on to 4B. Dr. Superintendent report the wrong put in a cop truck. All right. Okay. We have uh five of our basketball teams heading to state. Um they qualified over the weekend. So, we will be very very busy this the this coming week. First game on Thursday is at 11:00 a.m. and the last game is at 9:00 p.m. They went ahead and just like spread us all out as much as they could to make sure that we have to spend the whole day in Norman. >> But very exciting. >> The overall message of this production and what

025the kids are definitely empowerment and you can do anything um anything you put your mind to and that's >> want them to walk away with a sense of hope. That's what lay miz is all about is overcoming one's past and making a better future. And I think that's a feeling we all need today in this current world is the chance that we can start again. You know that one's past does not dictate their future. >> I just so impressed with um the way they are professionals and they have stepped up. These kids go to school all day long every day but then also take this on as a job and they're incredible. >> I think one of my favorite things is seeing them make these their own. Yes, Lay Miz is Broadway royalty. It's been

026around since the 80s. It's [snorts] classic. But these kids have really made these iconic, lovable characters their own. And they haven't just tried to fit into a mold. Instead, they've made it a unique take on this classic musical. >> I really believe these students have put their heart and soul into this and as our upcoming next generation, it's our job to support them in the good things that they are doing. when you come to our shows, you will see a theatrical experience like nothing else. >> Sure. >> And I would agree with that. Both of those shows um went to see Legally Blonde last Thursday and L miss Friday night and they were both just amazing. So hats off to the all the adults that helped the program, all the kids who do the late

027hours, all the parents. I've been a musical theater parent before, so I know the work that goes in on that end as well. But just always really impressive the job that they get done. Um, wrestling going back to sports now. We had last or a week and a half ago, we had five indivivividual wrestling state champion and uh and two runners up as well. Carl Albert High School was the class 5A state runner up as uh in the team standings. Last week was ReadAcross America and here are some uh pictures of students participating in that from last week. had some good media coverage lately. Uh last Wednesday, um Channel 5 reached out and wanted to get my take on a bill that would affect screen time in our elementary schools. And so I did the

028interview and they clipped it down. Funny thing is, um the comments that I saw on social media afterwards, from the comments, you could tell those people really didn't watch the interview and see what I had to say [laughter] because they were agreeing with things I did not say. Um, on the other slide there is a channel 9 doing some reporting on our swim state championships, boys and girls from Carl High School. We held a college and career night last week as well. It was pretty well attended. A lot of good information for students and their families. Last Wednesday, same outfit as before. Um, I went to a job fair at OU with Sarah Small from uh, she's the assistant principal at Townson. And I have to say this is probably the most productive job fair

029I've been to in six or seven years in terms of the number of contacts that we got and the number of follow-ups that we've already had since then. So, it was very much time well spent. Couple of weeks ago, we sent six members of our team to uh, Power School University training down in Austin and they came back with a lot of ideas for how we could use Power School better and also a lot of affirmation for the things that we're already doing pretty well. Last week, OSSBA held a safety and security summit and Terry Tilly and Stacy Boyer got to present on a panel there as well. Uh Jana Tarpentier from Del City Middle School was selected to speak at the Oklahoma State Capitol in celebration of TRIO day and she's done this before

030talking about her journey as a trio student all the way up to where she is now. Very proud of her. Okay. MEA circle the state participants were Tinker Elementary, Del City Elementary, and Soldier Creek Elementary. Uh we had our first academic all-stater in a couple of years, Lily Bryant from Carl Howard High School and you saw some of the recognitions tonight and obviously we had a lot of students who weren't able to make it for the recognitions, but this is that list in a different form. When you put it all together in one screen, it's really impressive. And I'm not going to read all those names. A couple of weeks ago, we held a Java and Jazz to raise money for our fine arts programs. Carl Albert Middle School Technology Student Association club won a

031competition. Can't see where that is, but I can see a long horn art of that. And uh these are our students that you saw earlier who competed in the OKC Thunder Black Heritage Creative Contest. And you can see the artwork that they had down below as well. Just going to let it sit there a minute so you can really take a good look at the art that our students did because I think it's really impressive and moving. >> They got the assignment. We held a meeting uh last week or two weeks ago, superintendent's advisory board, and we talked about some legislative issues. We thought we were going to the Capitol this week, but we're having to reschedule that and we'll probably go two or three weeks after Thanksgiving or I'm sorry, after spring break. >>

032Oh my, >> it's the cough drops, man. >> And uh and then we also talked about what they're all doing at their philanthropy weeks. Uh this week is is wild week del cities. All right. Yeah, wild week is del cities. They're having that this week. And then hog and swag week are after spring break. We had several Black History celebrations across the district um over the last month and you see a few of them pictured here. Carlbert swim made history both boys and girls winning class 5A swim. I guess that hasn't happened in 5A in the same year. Had elementary botball last month as well with all of our schools participating in that. >> It's fun seeing how excited they get. OA and News9 named Jennifer Waters from Parkview as an impactful teacher and celebrated

033her. Mayor Holt also visited Parkview Elementary and read to our students. And Michelle, she brought it up last month that we had to do a reunification back in January with Midwest City Middle School. And that should have been in the superintendent report last month. We wanted to go ahead and include it here, including just some of the footage that we took that day. And you know, something that we practiced for [music] and trained for and hoped we never needed, but we think it went pretty well. And we also learned a lot of things that we can do better next time. And then we hope we don't have to do the next time anytime soon. But in case we do, today we did tabletop exercises with about 35 leaders from the central office, the LSC, the

034warehouse, technology, transportation, um, maintenance. Just we went over six different scenarios at tabletops looking at uh, possible situations that would come up. What would be our first reaction? And then we threw some variables. Sort of like when you watch a cooking show and then halfway through they they throw in a surprise ingredient. Uh, we did that a few times. I think Jacqueline told me three times she doesn't like me anymore when I threw in the surprise ingredient. But it's a really good practice for us to think on our toes and think about downstream effects from the decisions that we have to make during a crisis. And we're going to do more of that with principles tomorrow. And we're going to be able to now that we're in this rhythm, we're going to do more of

035it with the uh safety and security teams at the sites and during faculty meetings in the upcoming school year. And then I think this is the last slide. Uh we had our district awards program last month and it was a really nice event. It's the first time that I can remember us doing it as a lunchon, but I really enjoyed it and I think everybody enjoyed um you know the people that were celebrating really felt honored and that they were that we did a good job showcasing them. It's um and people were having fun. um maybe I pushed a lot of Uh, I pushed a lot of the confetti with the the broom into the center of the room. So, it wasn't Yeah. Um, >> she was so >> Andy and Bria had a lot

036of fun with those confetti cannons, too. >> But, uh, yeah, it's always >> a lot of effort, a lot of work. Um, not only the process, uh, there's a lot of like essays that you have to write. You have to record yourself and things like that. But honestly, to be nominated, I had really prove myself in my school and engage the students and be there as a support person for not just students but teachers too. So this has been four years in the making. I feel it's a lot of validation for my hard work but also it's representation for Del City High School. Uh we have so many wonderful students and so many wonderful staff members and I just want everybody to be able to see that and also how wonderful Mindell is and that

037we really are family. And once again, Stacy and Candy, thanks for all your hard work and everybody for all your hard work and especially the people who stayed after and helped cleaned up because there's about what 10 12 of us. >> Yeah, that I noticed the ones who do. >> That's all I got. >> Okay. Item five, vote to approve or not approve the mineral rights agreement with Paladin Energy LLC. Dr. Cobb. >> Um, so this is a new one for me. We had um this company reach out Palladium Energy and they were interested in the mineral rights under some of our property. Um, I'm glad you're all hearing that, too. It's not just me. [laughter] Um anyway, this is not something I have a lot of experience with. I ran it by an attorney.

038They gave us two options for um how those rights would be distributed and he um our attorney gave us the more favorable option. Um but since then and and even tonight, I've received more guidance on that. My recommendation is actually going to be that you table this item unless I don't think it hurts to spend another month doing some research and seeing and just making sure that we're not making a mistake in signing something. Move to approve. >> Make a motion to table the item for another month. >> Well, yeah, but I can't move. >> Oh, okay. >> That's my recommendation. >> Second. passes. >> Now, this one I am certain on. So, in January, we agreed to um a purchase sale agreement um for the property um over by Forest over by Pleasant Hill

039on Schroeder. And um what we didn't realize at the time is that that property is sort of conjoined with the actual property that that Pleasant Hill sits on, even though those those two properties aren't adjacent. Um and since we did improvements on Pleasant Hill with the lease revenue bond that we passed in 2017, the Oklahoma County Finance Authority still has a partial claim to Pleasant Hill. So, we had to separate those two deeds out so that we could complete that sale of the property. I talked to Zach this afternoon and sometime this summer um county finance authority will actually turn over we will finish paying off all of the the lease revenues from the 2017 bond election. So, that was about to be a non-issue anyway. But tomorrow the um OCA OCFA is meeting at

04011 and I'm going to that meeting in case there are any questions about that. But this this is just um allowing for the separation of those two parts of the property that were part of one deed. >> Move to approve. Second. >> Okay, let's vote. Motion passes. Okay. Item seven, vote to approve or not approve revisions to B17 organizational chart. >> Yeah. And this is just changing the title of the assistant director for alternative and ver virtual learning to the career academy principal that it was a principal position at one point previously. And given the uh number of students that we're currently serving, I think that's the appropriate title. Again, we hope to build it back up to be a bigger program again, but right now where it sits, principal is a more appropriate title.

041>> Move to approve. And that's because I think the tech center also has >> um >> we looked at some uh figures from around the state over the last six years. The number of students statewide in virt I'm sorry in um alternative programs has been has gone down from 12,100 to 10,500. So about a reduction of 1,600. But also the number of programs around the state has dropped from 312 to 209. The the average size of alternative programs has actually increased over that time, but the number of students in those programs has declined. I think some of it has been the increase in virtual education. I think some of it is alternate alternate programs like the tech center uh like what we have at the tech center. But the more I read about programs that

042are happening around other parts of the state and the country and the superintendents I know in other states, I think that people are just looking for more hybrid ways to do alternative instruction. Um anyway, and and I think that our one-sizefits-all model of education is less and less relevant to as many families. And so I think that we need to do some reinvention, but until we get those numbers up, I think that this is a more appropriate level for that position. >> And would that be a good thing or a bad thing >> in terms is that a good thing or bad thing we won't have as many kiddos the alternative route? you know, um, >> if we get more students graduating, if we have less students dropping out, if the students who have family

043situations that make it really hard to attend school from 7:45 to 3:00 or whatever, if if we have if we if we're able to reach more students that aren't fitting into the traditional school day, that's a better that's a good thing. >> Thank you. Did have a question about page. Was that just a typo? I can't see it. But uh from the FY22 it was like 2,000 and it jumped to 200. >> No. In fact, Dr. Bors and I we we talked about that because I I asked I that's almost word for word what I asked you last Thursday. And then oh and then I even >> I just forgot where >> and I believed you and I believed you but I still looked it up on the single sign on under our allocation notices

044because it's just it is um a very >> small. >> Yeah. I mean, well, but that for FY22, we only had 2,800 allocated for alternative and every other year it's more like 200,000 or even 100,000. So, it was Yeah, it was >> Yeah. And and I think some of that's coming out of the pandemic where we were, but it's >> that's what I wondered too. But it was just like it was enough to bring up >> to make sure that >> everyone we didn't just >> I checked on it. I checked on it three times because it's just >> as the question [laughter] >> that is. Yeah, that one >> the number. >> Okay, let's vote. >> We all make typos, so it's a fair question. >> We're all human. >> Like maybe that was

045a period. >> Okay, motion passes. >> Item eight, vote to approve or not approve Jenkins and Keer for the 25 26 audit. Miss Woodard, >> President Standridge, Dr. Cob, members of the board, I request your approval to contract with Jenkins and Keer to conduct our 2526 audit. >> Move to approve. >> Second. >> And they've been with us how many years now? Five. >> This will be our sixth year. Thank you. >> Are you pleased with their services? I mean, obviously you're right back. Are you pleased with the audits they provide? >> Yeah, I feel like they do a really good job. They um they out things that we can do better and that's what we want from an audit. Let's vote. Motion passes. Okay. Item nine, vote to approve or not approve. >> I'm

046good. Sorry. >> Okay. Vote to approve or not approve 2026 summer learning opportunities. Yes, President Standage, members of the board, Dr. Cobb, I'm delighted to present our 2026 summer learning opportunities. We request your approval for these programs which are essential for continuing student learning throughout the summer. >> Move to approve. >> Second. >> Okay, let's vote. >> Motion passes. >> Thank you. Okay. Item 10, vote to approve or not not approve a recommendation from the Internal Activities Review Committee to allow a maximum of five additional activity absences. Mr. Collier, >> President Standridge, members of the board, Dr. Cobb, I'm asking for approval for five additional activity days. Uh, this is normal. Um, and it's really a good thing. That means we have a lot of kids in this district that are active in in multiple

047things. So, um, and I will say we we've really done a good job with one to one and different stuff we do that these kids will go in the spring to activities and on their downtime they'll be doing the work. So, >> I'm asking for >> second >> and five is enough. >> My kid being in like orchestra and basketball and track and I'm like, kid, how many days you gonna miss? [laughter] So yeah, five is good. >> Yeah, we're good. >> Hey, let's vote. >> Motion passes. >> Thank you. >> Okay. Item 11, vote to approve or not approve revision of J19 vision screening of students and J23 diabetic management. >> Thank you, President Standards, Dr. Cobb, and members of the board. Um, I would like request your approval for revisions to J19 and

048J23. J19 is pretty easy. Um it's a v vision screening of students. And so the only thing I added was to include um uh exceptions for optometrists and opthalmologists. So they don't need to take additional training and that they are exempt from being on the master approved list by the state. to approve. >> Second. >> Let's vote. >> We do realize we're voting on both of them, right? And not just Right. She only said the one. >> She said that on that particular >> on that one the number 20. I'm just I'm just making sure that we're clear. >> We can just I'm good. >> Okay. Let's >> just want to make sure I wasn't trying You're good. I appreciate it. >> Motion passes. >> Thank you. >> Okay. Item 12, vote to approve or

049not approve change order number four to the agreement for the baseball field renovations at Carl Albert High School. Mr. Wolf, >> President Standage, members of the board, Dr. Cobb. Um, this is a order to the Carbert High School turf installation at the baseball field. Um, this is necessary when we leveled out that field for the turf. We have to raise the fence. So, that's what this is for. >> Move to approve. >> Second. >> Let's vote. >> Hoping this is the last change order for this one. >> Hopefully. >> Okay. Motion passes. Okay. Item 13. Vote to approve or not approve school specialty LLC for procurement of furniture. Mr. Wolf. >> So this is to purchase of furniture for six of our projects that are to be completing um this summer or right before the

050start of the new school year. Uh this is at Carlbert High School uh the classroom edition, storm shelter and the rose field improvements at uh Midway City High School for the storm shelter and classroom edition. Carl Middle School uh classroom edition and Del City Middle School classroom edition, cafeteria expansion, and then Midwest City Middle School classroom addition and cafeteria expansion. It's basically all the furniture. So, we got some place to sit. >> Move to approve. Second. Now, did you get input from this furniture from the sites? >> Yes. Um we had a kind of a compressed timeline because it turns out that all the school districts want their furniture in the summer. Imagine that. Um so we spent the last two three weeks have been kind of fast and few years and hard work but

051I have consulted with all the sites on multiple occasions um on the furniture. We're also in developing some design standards so that um our classrooms will be very equitable across the board. Our classrooms will look very much the same. Uh the other thing that's incorporated in this each classroom will include along with the standard furniture it also includes one ADA accessible desk. That's just standard for a class. um so that that will always be available for our students should they need it in the future. So we've we've done several things to try and standardize this and and kind of make things going forward should make things a little bit easier. >> And the colors are the same. >> I'm sorry. >> The colors are the same. >> Yes, colors of the furniture will be the

052same. It's um we've gone with kind of a a gray color for the desktops and black on the chairs. Uh and all the all the sites were good with that. Now our cafeteria furniture is a little different. That's going to be a little more um color specific for the schools. That's good. You know, I like colors. >> Okay, let's vote. >> You got to scoot down. I had to scoot down. >> Okay, motion passes. >> Thank you. Okay. Item 14, vote to approve or not approve the purchase of multiple pieces of equipment to create a second shortterm aircraft structures course at the M at the Midell Technology Center. >> Thank you, President Sandwich, Dr. Cobb, members of the board. By the way, if you don't know me, I'm Blake McCra. I'm one of the executive

053directors over at the tech center. We are requesting your approval for purchase of very detailed aircraft equipment for us to stand stand up a second short-term aircraft program over at our wed campus in Dell City. >> Move to approve. >> Second. >> So when you say shortterm, >> yes, ma'am, >> we're just doing it once. >> Uh, you know, ma'am, so we have we currently have two programs in this. We have a full-time aircraft structures we do for high school students and adults that we do during the day at our main campus. We also do a short-term what we call ACD, adult career development at night at our main campus and we do three of those sessions a year are short-term and then this is to stand up another program at our wed campus because

054we don't have room at our main campus uh to add another another set of short-term programs. So this is at request of Tinker Air Force Base >> successful. So I'm like we're just doing this once. >> No, no, no, no. We do three. So we're adding more. So we're adding more sessions. Yes. Yes, ma'am. Thank you. because it's full all the time is a good >> Yeah, the uh the shutdown the governor shut down slowed our ACD one at night just a little bit, but that's starting to come back up with these future ones. >> Good, good, good. >> Okay, let's vote. Motion passes. >> Thank you. >> Okay, item 15, vote to approve or not approve all actions recommended in the human resources report. Miss Houston. >> Yes. President Sandridge, members of the board,

055and Dr. Cobb, um the Would you like to hear some good news? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> They're all certified. >> Okay. [laughter] >> But we're on our way. >> So, um through the efforts of the HR team, and really it is everyone in that team. I take zero credit for this, but we have 37 total individuals who have made it through the process. They began with us as an emergency certified individual and um now they are moved past that on to the next step. So we have eight who have completed the entire process and are fully standard certified for the next five years and all they have to do now is continue to renew those credentials. We have 20 who have made it to the provisional level. So after emergency certification, if you follow

056all of the steps and pass the test tests, you're given a provisional that lasts three years that you complete the coursework. So we have 20 who've made it through that. And we have nine who have passed the tests and will be moving into uh the provisional certification area. So, I'm very proud of the team as well as the administrators in the district because one of the things we've worked on is giving that back to them, empowering them to meet with their staff and say, "Hey, you're emergency certified and I need you to be certified." So, shout out to all of those folks for making that happen. I'm very proud of them. >> Now, is this mostly elementary level? >> Um, I didn't No, no, it's not. I didn't I It's broken down by site. Um,

057but it's it's split. There's not It actually may actually be more on the secondary level than the than the elementary level, but but we're getting there. That's all I care about. >> Any sped in there? >> Um, so sped go a different route. They have to do the the boot camp. You know that they have to do the boot camp route. So, but we do have some that are making progress. Thanks to Tresa Wilson and her team, they have their own sped boot camp established here in the district. So, that is helping as well. >> All right. Move to approve. >> Second. >> Well, yes, that I got sidetracked, but yes, these hires are what we need to move to approve. Thank you. >> And just to be clear, these are standard, right? You bring

058us >> the ones that are on here are the ones you see every month. Yes. >> I've often thought maybe you could just vote on that without me being here, but it's fun to see you. And thank you for the update. That is interesting. >> Okay, let's vote. >> I guess they get to retire. >> Oh, I [laughter] know. Motion passes. >> Item B, right? >> Okay. The ne the fund the extra fund that we get to have tonight is my recommendation for your approval for us to hire an instructional facilitator. We had this is not an added position. We had someone who left and went to the private sector. So our recommendation is Hannah Sawers.
