Okay. >> Okay. In 2000, the 2019 Indiana General Assembly enacted legislation Senator Rule Act 390 codified in Indiana Code 20-29-6-9 requiring a school school employer to hold a public hearing to discuss the items in a tenative agreement described in the Indiana teachers collective bargaining law, specifically Indiana code 20-29-6-9 before RATA ratifying the collective bargaining agreement. Therefore, the mechanical school corporation hereby will convene this public hearing in accordance with Senate and enroll Act 390. Roll call. Mr. White, >> Spencer here, Andrew Adams >> here, >> Greg Beington >> here, >> Alan Wilson >> here, >> Beth Cheney >> here, >> Tim White here, Robert Bane >> here. >> Mr. Jernigan will share the terms of attentive agreement at this time. >> Yep. I want to first thank Mr. White. Um and also uh Mr. Dane for

setting in on the on the bargaining collective bargaining. Uh Mr. Nager is here um as well. I do appreciate um working through this quickly and and and getting what's in the best interest of all parties. So uh board you have seen this um in your inbox for the last couple of weeks um when we reach that tenative agreement. So page 13, uh, new griev grievance procedure, um, that was redone by church hill, um, to kind of streamline that process. Uh, hopefully we don't ever have to use it. Obviously, uh, base salary increases on page 17. Um, in year one, that base salary um will go to 46 and in year two um, it'll go to 47. That's to be competitive with uh, area schools around us as well. um all teachers um will receive a

that aren't topped out will receive a $1,000 base increase and then there'll be some catch up to put them back onto that new teacher salary uh schedule. Um so stipens uh that were negotiated previous contract will be added for those people who are above the scale will be added to their base. So we won't continue to negotiate stipens year after year. Um health savings account option. So, we did have we did realize a 4 and a.5% increase um in our base um increase for health insurance. So, everybody will get um that's on that high deductible plan match of $1,000 to help kind of offset some of that a health savings account. And remember, that's only for people in that high deductible because everybody else can't have a a health savings account. um the academic needs

incentive bill 249 um we have to align our salary schedule and our increases with that. So for those academic needs incentives um if you get a literacy endorsement and anybody K12 could get a literacy endorsement. Um that's a $300 base increase. I think it's pretty comparable to people around here as well. And then we've never offered money for dual credit courses and there's some stipulations in there. You can read through that, but $250 uh per course, not to exceed $1,000 annually. So, um those are stipens. That that second part was stipens. The first part is a base increase. So, that is the change. If you look, there was a lot of markouts. That's because of the language in the old with what qualified what didn't was marked out. I I apologize for the confusion on

that if there was some, but a lot of it had to be marked out. So, um we have a clean copy of it. um and and that has been posted online like um as specified. So that is that those are the changes uh that were made and we will I believe ratify at the next board meeting or before. So okay, >> thank you Mr. Jernigan. Do we have any public comments before the school board parties request that all who speak at this time limited to this topic? I don't really have anything to say. Thanks for meeting again. A random Wednesday, I guess. But, uh, I think, you know, I've heard a lot of a lot of good things about this package. So, this got this deal done physically responsible as some of our neighbors are

finding out is not the case with their negotiation uh process currently. So, >> okay. Thank you. Thank you for your effort on this too. >> Okay, thank you for your comments. Um, the ratification meeting will take place prior to the board meeting on on October 29th, 2025. Does the board have any questions about this before we adjourn or comments? HSA in is that an increase from >> We didn't have any. >> You didn't have any? >> There was no match. Okay. Yeah. >> Okay. And the state minimum is it 45 annual salary? Oh yes. Yes. >> We're above the minimum. >> Correct. >> Okay. >> And and so looking around us, we are at or above schools around us as well, which is good when we're trying to hire teachers. >> Right. Right. >> Y

>> the HSA match. Do you frontload that at the beginning of the year? >> It's a match for when they get >> when they give >> $500 in, we put $500 in. >> Gotcha. Okay. >> And most of those are set up on 26 pay. So, we know um when they come in and they sign up for it that we're going to be paying >> um whatever they pay during that pay period. >> Mhm. >> And this is a two-year deal, >> correct? >> Yeah. That was on my slide and I failed to mention mention that. Appreciate you saying that. >> We won't be back again for a while. So, any other questions or comments? >> Hearing none, I will take a motion to adjourn this meeting. >> So, move. Second. >> Second. >> All

those in favor signify by saying I. >> I. I. >> Post. Same sign.
