010reports our favorite part of the night and miss m Moen good evening um I just have a short report for you all this evening we are in the middle of winter sports season so be sure to be checking that athletics schedule for girls and boys basketall basketball games swim meets and wrestling meets so go Che on our boys and girls athletes um the MCHS Christmas concert will take place on December 19th at the high school auditorium so go check out our lovely choir and band students I just want to give a quick shout out to all of our um theater and Arts students at the junior high they've been doing a lot of cool things lately miss Block's Junior High theater classes are performing their plays this week um aliceon Wonderland was wonderful their production
011of Alis in Wonderland was great and down at Analog Coffee the meet the makers night and all of that has been down there with these nice mugs and they had lovely little paintings down there it was so nice to see all of that I loved that um the elementary students have also been performing their Christmas programs at the high school I want to extend a huge congratulations to Bod harson for winning the Lily endowment scholarship and congratulations to all of our other finalists um and I want to remind all of our students to check their email and if you have not signed up for your student Square account do that right now you should have done that forever ago but do it right now because you're missing a lot of really important announcements and good

014pretty much just want to once again thank everyone for the donations that goes a long ways uh this has to be one of the largest donation schools that we have around the state of Indiana we get a lot of donations from people so once again thank you very much it's very much appreciated uh want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year thank you David I'd like to uh thank Dr Holly Robinson and Tony steinhardt Jr from the city of Madison and Josh Wilbur from Gro and from the city for participating in our last Thursday's work session with regards to our Early Childhood Center proposal I think they brought a lot of uh good information for all of us to to ponder and and we appreciate their their time and their experience
015that they that they gave to us Mr demy I too would like to uh thank you for a well-written article of course all all your articles are well written but this might been one of your better ones actually but no Bob does a great job covering it we appreciate getting the getting the word out it's vital for for this project for the citizens to be well informed on you know what we're looking at and what we're hoping to do and and what we hope to accomplish and uh and I'll tell you this is this is certainly a program that will if Done Right will accomplish a lot so um we appreciate you helping us in getting that getting that information out and I will turn it over to our well let me finish by saying
016Merry Christmas I can't believe I still think it's like uh mid August where's it go to it's just unbelievable but uh but Merry Christmas to everybody and have a have a safe holiday vacation Dr Brown all right uh first of all I want to thank um ham Smith um she's a chairperson of our district social committee and they hosted our first employee event a couple weeks ago we had a trivia night the deputy team won they were victorious congratulations to the deputy team it's hard for me to say that but I am and uh it was it was it was a lot of fun we had about 75 uh people there and yeah it was just it was a good time people were dressed up and it was it was a good time together um
017also U Madison is hosting the Southeastern study Council tomorrow here so we have um lots of superintendant uh from all over Southern Indiana coming here and so we're looking forward to hosting them our farm our farm stop kids which Miss Emma's a part of um are going to be presenting to the superintendent about our program and our new student run Enterprise that's opening uh this winter um early spring so looking forward to sharing that with them and um displaying kind of all the great things going on in Madison for them to see be a great time to celebrate um also just a reminder those holiday program programs are going on tonight's Lydia Middleton so there's programs going on just about every night from now until when our uh winter break begins which is uh December
018the 20th through January the 6th so we look forward to um our employees having that time off with our families and our students and everybody just having a safe um and restful holiday season two weeks from today is Christmas so yeah it's coming up hard um and then lastly right and then lastly a big thanks to our board um I speak on behalf of our employees who get their stien checks tomorrow and their raises and retr pay on Friday so we greatly appreciate you thank you for that good for them they deserve every penny yeah that's all I've got thank you superintendent there will be a work session on Thursday January 9th 2025 at 4:30 p.m. the next regular set story and board of Finance meeting will be Wednesday January 15 2025 at 6 pm
