001we are live okay hi wildwood hello everybody hello hello hello how are you all doing wonderfully doing wonderfully can you hear us somebody out there in talent show land okay i've seen some people there can't wait nicole yes sir leah carver yeah hello out there you can't wait we have a really big show for you right catherine we do 51 acts in total 51 fantastic wildwood talent show axe i can't wait nick you muted yourself off to a good start a mute unmute i had to do it once you know this wouldn't be an online event if we didn't mute ourselves and someone had to say you're muted so we are ready to get started catherine we have a great lineup it looks like we're we have so much talent that you divided it up

002into act one and act two yes with a ten minute intermission okay and i think you put a link right even at the bottom of the youtube so people could actually see the order yeah you can follow along you can look and see when the people you know are going to be performing and act one will start very soon and then act two will start at 6 30. so even whenever act one starts act two will start at 6 30. that's wonderful thank you so so before we get started i thought the three of us could just say that this talent show really says something about our community wouldn't you say yeah it says that we have not only have amazing talent of all kinds but it says that we welcome people to be who

003they are yeah and we are also honoring that moment where you decide to try something in front of people right and take a risk yep because that's what life is taking a chance and all 51 of these students were brave enough to do this to make a video of themselves right catherine yeah and send it to you and say to us put it out there and so we're going to be supporting you out there in the audience your job is to support your brave classmates so what would that look like well i'll tell you right now jacomo and clements they're going to be saying great job they're going to be saying things like oh nice job singing oh what an amazing talent i know kailyn is going to be supportive i know she's going to

004be out there telling people what a great job that they're doing so you can be specific let them know what you're loving so you can put it into the chat and put out those encouraging words to your classmates thank you everyone who's gathered it will be recorded so everyone can see it all over the world so what do you think should we get started i think we should i think we should and we have a very special first act our first act is coming from lev in grade two he graced us last year in the talent show with a cello song and he's back better than ever and with some hand-drawn animations as well so without further ado our first act level [Music] my oh good oh my goodness he was tickling the strings and

005the animation and the background wow and of course we had to see kermit at the end too always has to be a special special guest appearance from kermit a special friend of mine in wildwood yes all right here we go so we got number two who's that one two number two we are going to be seeing ella in grade one playing the piano tinkling the ivories for us here we go ella my name is ella thompson and i'm gonna be playing the piano and this is um [Music] and so [Music] that was wonderful did you hear how she went soft and then loud again yeah the dynamics were really really good fantastic in grade one grade one yeah that's a great start of the piano yeah next up we have michaela coming to us from

006grade three she is going to be singing a song called me myself and time by demi lovato and this song i want to share that i talked with michaela in person we talked about how it can be scary to sing in front of people and a quote that she shared with me was fake it until you feel it and this video she's super confident and she sounds amazing so here we go michaela i can make feelings stop him from that just for my attitude i can take my laptop record a snapshot and change your point of view i just entered this brand new world and i'm so open hearted i know i've got a long way to go but i'm i'm just getting started i'm over my head and i know it [Music] it makes

007me wanna change my direction sometimes it gets lonely but i know that it's only a matter of my perception i just entered this brand new world and i'm so open-hearted [Music] myself and time shout out to brooke that was so awesome kayla beautiful i like the shout out to your friend at the end you got that brook and i'm noticing too like to just do that without accompaniment right without an instrument that's not easy to stay in tune and to memorize all those words i was going to say she memorized all of it that's hard that was awesome thanks michaela thank you next week we're going to see some ballet dancing maya in grade one who is very multi-talented it took her a while to figure out if she was going to sing a song

009that was gabe right that was game yeah watching himself play the piano yeah a little inspiration yeah yeah awesome dave nice touch yeah so the next one is some stop-motion animation and this one doesn't have sound so i'm wondering if our audience can maybe make up a story of what's happening in this stop motion animation this was made by selena in grade three and it's wonderful here we go there you go lena i know that miss cara taught lots of kids stop motion animation and created like youtube videos actually where you can learn how to do it on her page selena that was fabulous pixar here we come and it takes a lot of time to put that into effect that is patience and time selena i am impressed yeah i think that that doll

010maybe was looking at maya for some inspiration i saw some dance moves and that all that was pretty good okay keeping them keeping the talent coming what do we have next oh next up we have sebastian also in grade three and he is doing a combination of a puppet show and a song he has a uh he has a friend named dormilones um who he loves to tell stories about and sing songs about and so this is this is an exploration of dormillones and sebastian's wonderful wonderful creativity here we go [Music] on [Music] yes is [Music] is [Music] [Applause] i didn't know how that puppet got there i remember the longest time i'm like how did i get there and then it was nice to see the person at the bottom did you see the

015to his act right yeah yeah our next act is drew derrick and ji hey all in grade five showing how all of them can juggle and do different things with different sports equipment it's very impressive also they did the editing uh together it's pretty awesome i think you're gonna like it here we go [Music] oh cause we are the champions of the world yes so good coordination collaboration teamwork oh man you guys yeah that was impressive yeah i like also the different definitions of juggling how juggling a soccer ball and juggling balls in your hand is completely different but both juggling fabulous work guys yeah and i'm a basketball fan so very impressive basketball tricks too all right next up we have a sister brother duo we have solani in grade three doing a dance

016with her brother i will tell you the the audio on this is loud so you might want to turn down your audio a little bit but it's awesome here we go lonnie and her brother yellow [Music] yeah i need that split at the end and for those people that do not know her brother cielo is a wildwood graduate right now going into 10th grade yellow leaving ninth grade for 10th grade with miss allison's son orion yeah they're buddies way to go solani and yellow nice job all right next up we have some more sports skills a lot of one thing i really like about this online format is that there are some things that you can't really do in an in-person talent show so for example rollerblading when you have a talent show uh stage

018creative individuals and both of them are extremely good at freestyle rapping and so this is a really really cool video where they combined wraps that they knew with raps that they created and songs that they knew with songs that they created it's just a melding of creativity it's amazing wow here we go sean and jonah another day leads into and you're not here to get me through it all i let my god down and you pulled the rug i was getting kinda used to being someone you loved [Music] he knows the code it's not about reality about making the noise making them hurdle when he puts it down boy picking it up monster you get in my way imma feed you to the monster no more than the day but tonight i turn a monster

019when the moon shines like ice for no trucker i feel like everyone that is known as blockbuster godzilla fire spit a monster blood on the dance floor louisville car fire godzilla fire blood on the dance floor louisville carpet why he was so bad he kept fighting kept crying he was one day at the top like nothing could sign him but the scouts thought he was that i don't know why it was look so mad he was so great i don't even know how or why he's up there and maybe he's the best of time he threw dimes to the best the best right now he's on the top boy that's how you show them how they go yeah they do wow really the camera angle i mean that camera angle that was so cool yeah

020and the way they played off each other you know that type of collaboration was seen in the talent show it's pretty extraordinary yeah thank you soda thank you sean pretty amazing yeah putting yourself out there all right next up we have got anna in grade two who i have to shout her out made me this beautiful watermelon necklace and it is going to be my favorite piece of jewelry um but anyway for the talent show she is playing a jazzy piano piece and it's pretty awesome so here we go anna [Music] do [Music] oh it's so good that's so good that was awesome now for a completely different talent we go to sixth grader quinn who is showing us some figure skating right which i think is a first for a wild wildwood talent show

021no there are many things that i don't think we've seen before but how fabulous and i think quinn's been studying for a while practicing yeah for quite a few years so let's hear it let's see it i mean here we go [Music] so beautiful oh quinn i'm gonna call you and i'm gonna have you teach me something [Music] that was so beautiful and elegant yeah it was like dancing on ice to me it just took me to that different place of quiet and yeah i used to want to be a figure skater so when it's literally my dream right there wow juliana said so majestic it looks like you're doing ballet yeah and in our next video i didn't even plan this but i just realized in our next video we're going to see a

022different kind of skating on ice not the ballet figure skating kind but the ice hockey kind and a ton of other things we're going to be seeing theo's best sport skills which there's a lot of from first grade so here we go theo awesome let's hi my name is theo and my talent is my best sport moves i'm good at baseball straight there we go [Music] and basketball okay he's a multi-sport phenom he's invented his own kind of what's called a decathlon you have 10 different things you do in a sport yeah that was amazing to you yeah that was amazing i realized i messed up i said he was in grade two on the program he's not i mean we have one week of school left he's basically in grade two he's basically there

023don't don't be still still a great one thanks theo thank you now this next one principal nick would you like to introduce talia's act because i know that talia has talked to you a lot about this app you know wildwood we love it when students follow their own interests and talia and her sister naomi in grade two talia's in grade three have been helping out volunteering at a nearby goat farm in shootsbury and they've learned so much about goats and how to take care of goats and watch goats being born and gone through so much of learning about farming and how to take care of goats and that's what she wants to do for the talent show that is a talent right yeah and i'm afraid of goats so this is something i'm fascinated by

024oh learning new things yeah so all right here we go how to pick up a goat i think it's cool oh maybe those must be moved to the palace [Music] those are wonderful they're babies yes yes they have actually seen some of these babies being born or seen them when they're brand new um isn't that amazing that's another that is a first for a talent show we've never had uh picking up ghosts before thank you natalia and naomi yeah and we'll see naomi later in the talent show as well so next up is brooke who's going to be playing us a piano piece called morning that same brook who got the shout out from michaela and saying first last year in the talent show here is brooke on the piano [Music] so beautiful did you

025see her look over her shoulder at the camera just showing that she didn't need to see her fingers look at what i can do that was really amazing very very elegant what a stage presence yeah yeah and clearly she's practiced a lot yes next up we have omar in grade two with showing us his skills with a rubik's cube here we go i think i've seen something like this here we go omar um hi guys so i am omar said to me and i'm a second grader in washington elementary school and today i'm going to be solving this 2x2 rubik's cube and i'm gonna start in three two one done i hope you like this video and i practice a lot so bye and that i have had a fourth grader trying to teach me

026that and it's so hard many of these things are very hard for adults yeah and you got a little of that classic omar humor at the end as well yeah way to go you have practice a lot important methods yes if you practice you to do it too you're muted i'm trying to have a growth mindset so i don't i don't know how to do a rubik's cube yet yet all right next up from the same class a very talented second grade class we have amalia singing and playing an original song called i am life i have to share one highlight of our remote spooling was amalia taught one of her songs to her whole class and we sang it together this is a different song so it's a new one for me um she's

028when we do freeze dance in first grade often yadda likes to do back bends as her dance move and then freezes there beautiful one thing if we were in person i'd be asking people how long have you been practicing this when did you learn how to do it something i always been interested in yeah yeah if any of our talented wildwood superstars are watching maybe you could comment how long you've been doing what you did in the talent show because it helps us beginners think okay you know i'm a beginner but maybe i'll get there yeah i've been people have been trying to teach me a cartwheel at wildwood for 10 years you need you need another year i guess never give up never give up i think emma who is up next could teach

029you a little bit about her talent which is ribbon dancing it's beautiful she's had a lot of dancers so emma she also choreographed this choreographic is like like writing a song but with a dance she made up the dance moves worked really really really hard on this the video was supposed to be longer but it wouldn't upload so we had to cut it down sadly so you can imagine this dance going on and on and on and she's dancing or elise by beethoven here comes emma [Music] so beautiful i love rhythmic dancing yeah rhythmic gymnastics right is that it's a competition in the olympics and i think it's rhythmic gymnastics and they use those those um [Laughter] again dancing just takes you to a place i it's great that we have so many different kinds

041the grandparents inspired them i i want to find out how they did start i think it's a starch oh man what a way to start act two yes and we are continuing strong we're going to carlos in grade four who's going to be singing watermelon sugar by harry styles and they are also playing the ukulele carlos is another very multi-talented musician um and they're gonna blow us away with their singing and playing so here we go [Music] sugar [Music] sugar [Music] tastes like strawberry [Music] i don't know if i could ever i just wanna taste it [Music] so good carlos whoa so good and playing the ukulele while you're singing like that knowing all the words that's not easy they got skills amazing job i love that song too fabulous carlos yeah all right next

042up we've got more rollerblading i think rollerblading must have been another quarantine uh talent that people people you know as a way to get outside yeah we've got jonah and susie grades three and five showing us their skills whoa okay very impressive here we go hello my name is jonah and this is susie today we are going to be teaching you how to rollerblade and we are going to be practicing ourselves so we're going to do normal braiding fast celebrating and weaving in and out you want to start let us and that was it for our normal rollerblader onto bathrooms ready are you ready let's go go and that was it signing out jonah spitzer and susie arthur roosevelt bye bye so impressive i didn't know rollerblading was so popular yeah yeah i'm impressed that

043they can stop that's the thing like i think i could do the the going straight maybe even going fast but stopping very cool nice job jonah and susie yeah so next up we have a special song really that was written in a collaboration with aspen and will and then katie also did the editing so it was really a team effort and you know when i was thinking about their efforts um i was just thinking about how special our wildwood culture is you know and the talent show shows that that we're a school where people can be who they are and i remember back i feel like i'm learning a lot from our students i remember back miss allison um i think it was five years ago we had some third graders who later became your

044students and they said nick we have to do an assembly and i said on what they said on being who you are and they acted out these skits and they focused on gender and they focused on gender identity and expression to open up the box for everybody a wildwood to say you know your identity is what you feel on the inside it could be boy girl both or neither you that's up to you you get to decide that and we're going to respect that and your expression can be like whatever you wanted it to be there's no such thing as a boy way of expressing yourself for a girl or you know you can wear the clothes and love things so that's what this talent show is all about yeah and this next song was

045written in collaboration will and aspen it was aspen's idea and then will and aspen both went for it and worked really really really hard to make this video unfortunately aspen wasn't feeling well when it was time to make the video yeah well will's the only one singing in it but he sounds amazing and he wanted to know wanted to let aspen know that his support was really really really important and we'll see aspen later in another clip and katie with the fit with the editing she was she was right there with them yeah all right let's hear it hi i'm will and me and my friend aspen made a song about lgbtqiap plus and katie is going to help us edit she's behind the camera and miss wells helped us do this too also um
