004can't do that still so be proud of yourselves and take that proud proudness pride into the new year with a new goal so thinking about this year we've endured a lot a great deal i talked with our climate team and i talked with coach renee to see what should we honor at this community meeting and we all agreed that we should honor the things that we personally all hold as sources of light sources of inspiration that may help us a beacon if you will a beacon of light is someone or something that guides us or gives hope to others [Music] um so the thing i am super proud of and something that gives me light every day is our fort river staff so shout out to all of our fort river river staff shout out

008come back shout out to noah ella and ben for your january birthdays before we come back on the 4th so friends the other thing i'd love to celebrate with you all today i don't know if you've taken a look outside but it's snowing there's magic in snow it insulates the earth sends the animals and plants into their deep winter sleeps if you get a chance to go outside today please make it a snow day later we also are quickly approaching sunday december the 21st the winter solstice sun will rise at 7 14 in the morning and set at 4 18 in the afternoon that's only six hours and four minutes of daylight it's the longest night of the year from that day forward the minutes of daylight will grow back minute by minute making the
009days longer and longer again until june brighter days are ahead of so if you are able if you can work with your family on this one you happen to have a candle i asked you on that day december the 21st don't do this alone that you light a candle to shine your light literally out in the community and know that others in the fort river community may be lighting that light in solidarity in their home as well may the light the flame bring warmth to your heart and fire to your soul a big connection in our community in siem foreign hopefully that light will inspire you to see the good in others and allow you to reflect about all the love you have in your life from your fort river family as well as from

014aaliyah and ava hall started dreamland with aaliyah from sister sister studios in the beginning of quarantine aaliyah and her sister ava started reading children's stories online on march 30th elya started reading every day on instagram live soon after she did facebook live too and now they've read over 200 books and have a youtube channel one of the first books on dreamland that elia read was may among the stars it's about mae jameson may was the first black woman to ever go to space it's so important to alia that there is representation in the books that she reads she wants other kids to see themselves in the books that they read we rate they raised over ten thousand dollars for non-profits including no kid hungry they interviewed kid authors and important community leaders and got lots
