001Hello everyone. I'm Holly Silver with W A C A bringing you a brief summary of this week's town managers newsletter. This week's community shout-out goes to Lieutenant Iarussi. Tonight's community shout-out goes to someone who proved that even off-duty first responders never stop being first responders. [music] Last weekend, Lieutenant Iarussi was heading home from a wedding with his wife when they [music] came across a horrifying crash. A car had rolled over and caught fire. Without hesitation, he jumped into help. Now he says he knew moving the victims could be risky because he didn't know the extent of their injuries, but he also knew how fast vehicle fires can spread. [music] Alongside several good Samaritans, Lieutenant Iarussi helped pull the two victims from the burning vehicle before the situation got even worse. And despite the heroic rescue, he's staying humble about it all saying the quote, "It took a village to save those victims from the fiery crash. I was one piece of the puzzle." This was an incredible story of courage, teamwork, and quick thinking. Huge shout-out to Lieutenant Iarussi and everyone who stepped in to help.
