001Bring your hat. Jeff, are we live? He's not talking. >> He can't He can't hear anything connected up here. Jeff, can you hear me? Are we good, Jeff? >> Okay, we're rolling. >> All right. Good afternoon, everyone. Welcome to uh Ashlin High School where we have the four and four Ashlin Clockers are hosting the uh Westwood Wolverines coming in at 5 and three. Game just started a few minutes ago. And of course, we started with a incredible save by our uh junior goalie Alana Duffy. That's probably one of many, number 50. So, all right, beautiful day over here in Ashlin. about 62°. Sun is shining. This is why I brought my sunglasses over here. Nice pass to um that was to Lily Vidy. Back to Payton Trip. Want to welcome all of our viewers on

002WACA. Anyone kind of watching after the fact as well. Want to thank our sponsors Townhouse Pizza once again sponsoring today feeding our crew. Excited about today over here. All of Massachusetts had a a great pass by painting trip. I think that was going to Maggie go blue before she got the shot on. Little little fancy play by Maggie McInness. Uh foul called before. So I think she'll get a free shot over here. >> All right. See Megan McInness, junior captain number 14. >> Great save by the Westwood goalie trying to get that number. So two good saves by both goalies. That looks like number 22, Maria Keenley. If my numbers are correct, number 22 on Westwood. So, two good shots by both teams. Two good saves. Ashlin coming off a loss against Shrewsbury during the

003uh vacation week. Really tough team again. Westwood Wolverines coming in at 5 and three. They are 5-0 against all the TVL games. Their only three losses are against non-reional teams. So Westwood has a very very high powered offense. I am expecting a pretty high-scoring game today. Kind of get to some of the strategies when we have a quick break over here. Another save by Alana. That's two over there. All the stats this afternoon are unofficial, of course. >> See, it looks like number three on Westwood. Good shot. Missed to uh scored over there from Westwood. So, a quick one- nothing score over here. Starting Ashlin versus Westwood. I have to say keys for today, we're going to go really on the Ashlin side. So, you know, like in every sport, football, it's special teams, offense,

004defense. You got baseball, softball, hitting, pitching, uh fielding. I think for today's game for lacrosse, it's really going to be right over here. It's who's going to control this middle. Um, I think Westwood's definitely gonna get a bunch of their shots off. Our defense are going to be pressured. We have one of the top goalies in TL TV TvL. It's right over here. Who's going to win these faceoffs over here? That's definitely hands down the keys for today. If we can control the uh the faceoffs, we have a really good shot. Not only being competitive, but uh potentially taking this huge win against the Wolverines. Again, a very highpowered offensive team. Five and three coming in. Good defense over there by the uh by Ashlin Westwood kicking it out over here. It's number 14 on

005Westwood. So for the Westwood families, I'll do my best to pronounce the names. It's kind of tough to see some of the jersey numbers with the sun, but we'll do our best over there. That's a quick goal by I think that's Yeah, tough to tell who scored the goal on Westwood. Two nothing Westwood starting off over here. See we got for Ashlin. We got number 14 Maggie McInness going to take the uh the face off. See Payton trip on one side of the circle on the Westwood side. That is number looks like number 11 Cassidy McMillan Jr. and that's Ashley Forester captain as well. So Ashley uh paint trip Maggie McInness on the faceoff for Ashlin. >> That's a nice win. That's what we got to do to uh to have our chance over here.

006Got to win these faceoffs. Good job by I think that was Payton Trip over to Lily Vidy. So, one stat to kind of keep an eye on even though this is a team sport for individual um stats over here. Take a look at Maggie McGinness. Maggie is coming into this game. I think this is an official stat with 95 total points. And that's a goal by Let's see who was that. That looked like Ashley Forester. All right, Ashley is on the board. I missed who got the assist. Ashley Forser. That's one of our senior captains over there. So for Ashley, she has for the season 29 points, 19 goals, 10 assists, make that 20 goals. So that is her 20th goal for her entire Ashlin career in high school. And she's been primarily a defender

007this year. She's playing a lot of midi, so never going to have a ton of those stats, those um offensive stats. But way to go, Ashley getting her 20th goal over here. Quick goal by Westwood. Again, I missed who uh scored over there unfortunately. So, let's go back to Maggie McInness real quick. So Maggie McInness for her entire career, she's a junior, has 69 goals, 26 assists, 95 points total. So if Maggie can somehow get a combination of either goals, assist five of them, she has now broken the 100 markers. So only one other player on Ashlin Clackers that have over 100 points, that's Lily Vidy with 178 points, 140 goals scored, and uh 38 assists. So that's what Maggie's trying to get individually, but we're just trying to get a win over there. But

008uh great job by Maggie. Won the faceoff to call something happened against uh Payton Trimp. Nice pass to Payton. Over to um number seven, Julia Frius. Nice freshman. One of our many freshman on the team over here. >> Slight turnover or turnover from Ashlin. So Westwood with the ball. Again, Westwood pretty powerful offensive team over here. They actually broke 20 goals earlier this year. >> Ashlin and Westwood. This is the first of two games. They actually finished the regular season, last game of the season in May. So, uh we'll be at Westwood. >> All right. It's number three by Alana. Another save. So, one of my favorite stats in um hockey, field hockey, lacrosse, it's all around the goalies and some of theirs. So, Alana Duffy, so she's a three-year starter over here. That's a

009goal by Westwood. I think that was number two this year alone, not including today. 93 saves. So, it's pretty impressive. Over 176 shots, about 52.84 84 save percentage. So, incredible job by our junior goal over there. Love watching her play as well. Very active behind the post over there. So, she's going to get uh she'll get a ton of shots today against Westwood Wolverine team. Pretty high powered offense. Probably a team I think the MIAA um rate um playoff ratings or standings I should say officially come out on Tuesday. I'm expecting Westwood to be one of the top teams in their division. to goodwin by Maggie to Payton over to Lily Vidy. Payton trip with control. Got Aaron Hickey over there. Another one of our juniors. That's number one. Alyssa Marcio, one of our freshman,

010one of our many freshman over here on varsity. Coach Katie has done an incredible job with this team over the years. And you know, Ashen only has two seniors. Lily Vidy and Ashley Forester. Um, both four-year starters, four-year varsity players, I should say. But they have Ashlin has a really good, deep, young crew over here. Uh, not only freshman, but a bunch of eighth graders that are kind of getting ready to play. Some of them are helping out with the JV team as well. So, a lot of excitement going on for Ashland sports, especially on the girls lacrosse. Good pass from Aaron Hickey. I think that is to Maggie McInness. Good defense by Westwood. That is Ashley Forester taking the uh cut over there. Maggie passes it to that might be Elisha. Yep. Over to

011Payton trip looking for some cutters over there. Going in the back to Maggie McInness, number 14. Another one of our junior captains. Nice job by Maggie McGinness. Good assist by Payton Trip. Maggie first goal. That is uh also goal number 70 for Maggie in point number 96 in her Ashlin career. Got a 4-2 game over here. Pretty competitive. Again, I think to me, just my little I know about lacrosse, definitely not an expert like my man uh Kevin McGinness and Jamie Trip, who uh Kevin, I'll give a quick shout out to Kevin McInness. He went solo yesterday. I'm uh I get the honor of going solo, so I get to talk to my best friend, which I guess is myself. Got Maggie. And again, it's tough to see the Westwood jersey number, so I apologize

012for the Westwood listeners. It's >> one by Westwood. >> Number two, uh that's Bridget Hughes, a junior with the ball. 4-2 game. A little over halfway through the first quarter. Westwood passing the ball around the uh top of the key over here. Good drive by number two again. Good defense protecting the middle. Good defense again. >> Got called over there. Can't tell by who. >> Looks like number 13, Mila Manville, a Jr. is going for the shot over. Let's see if Alana can defend on this. She does defend. Shot went wide. getting a lot of one of the top one of the top uh goalenders over here for and the TVL. So, that was a call by Ashley. I didn't see why or how, but my man Paul is uh helping over here. The guy

013that's in charge of production with WACA is doing really important work right now. Is giving myself and the cameraman some uh sunglasses over here because it's tough to see over here right now with the sunglazing. But we'll take this weather any day compared to what we've had in uh February and March. Beautiful day over here in Ashland. Just about 60°. So, a lot of calls on Ashland so far today. But I think against this Westwood team, this high part offense, you got to be aggressive. So, I think Ashlin's kind of doing what they can to slow them down. Can't see what number that is. Looks like number seven on Westwood. That's a goal by Westwood. Emma Fitzpatrick, another junior. >> 5-2 game over here. >> So again, Westwood's coming in at with a record of

014five and three. Let me just get their uh stats over here. Yeah. So, five and three. They beat Hington 15-6, Medfield 138. Here goes number two again. >> What a save by Alana Duffy. That's number four. Again, all these stats for today are completely not official, but I'm counting four saves from Milana. So again, Westwood comes in 5 and three. They beat Medfield 13-8, Bellingham 170, Norton 21 to1. So that was the game that they scouted over 20. Uh lost to Ducks, which is a non TVL 89. Um beat Norwood and then lost to two other non-league games. Pingham five uh 5 to2 and then conquered Carly 8 to9. So probably one of the top if not the top TVL large team. So Ashland has their hand you know tough game over here doing the

015best they can keep the game competitive and uh you know I think to me one of their top players is Lana Duffy their goalie but right now playing a really good team defensive game over here. Got to watch the fouls right now. >> Wow, another save by Alana Duffy. I'm counting that number five for Alana. That was a really good defensive play. I missed who got their stick in there, but I think that helped out. But again, Alana's just As a Tina Turner would say, simply the best. Julie Frius, keep on going. A little high for Aaron. Turnover over there. Had Aaron Cutting just went over her head. Still like the aggressive play over there. Deep pass that is intercepted. That should be Ashlin Ball. That is Samantha Sight with the ball on the left

016over there. That's a turnover. Unfortunately, there's that running over there. Number two over number 13 has a girl wide open and that's a goal. Think that might have been Mila Manville. So, we have a 6-2 game. Just about 17 seconds left in the first quarter. Wolverines of Westwood. Fourgoal lead over here. We got Maggie McInness. I think that's uh Lily Vidy and Pain Trip around the circle over there for the faceoff. Maggie McInness getting the honors. It's a nice win by Maggie over to Lily Vidy. Got 17 seconds to score a goal. 13 seconds. Good pass from Lily. Uh just missed. Just missed. Maggie McInness moving a little high in that pass. We got 3 seconds. That's probably going to end the first quarter. And it does. So ending the first quarter. We got the

017Wolverines six, Ashlin two. We got two goals from Ashlin. Uh Ashley Forester senior with one goal and Maggie McInness with the second goal. So, we're just at the break over here. We're going to uh turn to our sponsors, Townhouse Pizza, for uh a quick little word from them and then we will be back. >> Give me the pizza right now. >> Brought to you in part by Townhouse. Pizza, Subs, Roast beef, and more. Be sure to fill up with the Buffalo Chicken Cow Zone that's been called one of the best in the area. all right. Welcome back over here. We are at the uh start of the second quarter. About a minute to go. Westwood Wolverines up six to2. Again, want to thank our sponsors, Townhouse Pizza. Also, big shout out to our crew today.

018We have uh our two leaders. We got Paul and Jeff. But I also want to welcome uh two of our students over here helping out today with the cameras uh camera crew. We got Garrett who is an eighth grader and Villian who I think is a freshman, right? Freshman. All right. So, huge thank you to our two of our two new interns. They're to the left and right to me. So, Garrett and Vivian, which again, if uh if you are interested in uh helping out with any of the crew with WACA, whether it's on the camera, whether it's on the announcing, definitely let us know. So, it's great to see folks like Garrett and Vivven kind of helping out over here. It's really fun, especially this time of year. Um, I know Jacob Adola has

019um Padullo, I'm sorry, has been doing a lot of the baseball games. So, one of our three Jacobs from the uh basketball team. He's now one of the key voices for Ashlin baseball. So, trying to get Jacob maybe do a couple of other uh sports besides that. But, a huge shout out to Jacob. And again, thank you again to Garrett, Vivian, and of course, Paul and Jeff. Always do an incredible job. Fall, winter, spring, sports, town halls, graduation. All right, we're about to start the second quarter over here. We I see Maggie, uh, Lily, Vidy, and, uh, Payton Trip. And that looks like number 11 on Cassidy McMillan Jr. for Westwood going up against Maggie McGinness. Westwood coming in green. Ashlin with the white jerseys. Again, keys to the game over here. Clearly, if we

020can uh continue to be successful with these with these faceoffs, I think that's really important. Samantha side over to Payton Trip. Payton trip over to Lily Viddy. Ashton's leading scoreer, goals, assist for her four-year career over here. Her career is definitely not over. Lilia, I think I saw, is going to San Diego State. Also, one of our key varsity players for girls volleyball to Ashley Forester. I think that is >> is that early? I It's tough to tell over here. Again, no complaining about this sun. It's a beautiful day. It's just where they are. Right over there. Right behind them is that beautiful sun that's always glaring. Great pass to Ashley goal. I think that was Ashley Forester. That's her second goal. Again, Ashley through her career has been primarily a defender. This year, playing

021a lot of midfielder, playing a little offense over here. So that is Ashley's second goal, her 21st goal for her four-year career. And she just matched her her two goals today. She had two goals for freshman year in 2023. So it's a pretty cool stat over there. Maggie McInness got Payton Trip and I think that's Lily Vidy. Face Officer Key over here. Nice job by Payton. Trip >> started with Maggie. Over to Payton. >> Ashlin Ball still. Pay Trip is a uh field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse player. So, three sport varsity player from uh Payton Trip. Good job by Westwood. But uh who was that? Ashley Forester got the ball. Got a 6-3 game going over here. >> Surprised didn't get a call there, but Maggie McInness uh lost the ball. Good defense. Ashley

022Forester hustling down number 11. That is uh Cassie McMillan. Great job by Ashley forcing that play over there. First time uh the Wolverines are on the offensive side of the second quarter. That's Kendall Westerlin playing defense over there. And that's a quick goal by I missed from scor like number two Bridget Hughes Jr. So for those that are listening on WACA live, we are I am actually monitoring the chat. So feel free to uh interact over the chat over here on YouTube. Just you know, please keep it PG. Again, this is Brian Scot. I'm uh excited to be doing my second girls lacrosse game today. Well, actually my did a half game with Kevin McInness earlier this year. Little bit colder then. Beautiful day today. Okay, we got Maggie, Payton, and Lily Vidy on the

023faceoff. 73 game. Nine minutes left in the second quarter. >> Westwood with the win on the faceoff. >> Looks like number 10, Charlie Jurgens. Number two, it's to Bridget Hughes. Top of the key over there. >> Good defense by Peyton Trip. Shot high. Westwood Wolverines keep the ball. Good defense by Ashlin on that play. Uh so that's a goal by what is that? Number two again, Bridget Hughes. Nice cut shot in the top neck, top part of the net, I should say. Luffy again, we we knew she's going to get a ton of shots against her with this high part offense playing pretty good goalie so far. Five saves on today. It might have been five or six. 83 Westwood Wolverines. First game back from the uh vacation week, even though they did have a

024game. Ashlin had a game on Thursday against Shrewberry. They have three games this week. Today, uh, Wednesday, home against Grafton, and then we are away on Thursday, I believe, against Norton. 5:00 game, early game. So, Wednesday's game against Grafton is going to be 6 p.m. We'll talk a little bit about that probably in the second half. Actually, pretty special game that's going to happen over there. Getting tough to see the number over there on who is going up against Maggie McInness on the face off, but that's number 19. It looks like Ellie Harrington. It's another win by the Wolverines. That is Ashley Forester defending over there. Good defense by Ashley. Good pick up in the middle by >> All right, white ball. Good defense. Goalie has it. I think that was number eight Caroline. Another

025one of our freshman that helped out with that defense. So Westwood is uh defending Alana on that play. over to uh Kendall. Love watching Kendall when she kind of just takes it to to another degree over there. Had like four players against her somehow found a little crease over there up the middle. Great job by Kendall, one of our uh sophomores. She is a secondyear varsity player. Very aggressive defensive player. Great instinct on the uh on the field. That looks like uh Early over there. One of our freshman players to Aaron Hickey. Over to number one, Alyssa. One of our get a freshman. Yep. Elena Early, one of our freshman uh freshman attackers over there. Ball outside to Payton Trip. Great recovery by Payton Trip. A great move by Payton. The flag. All right. It's

026probably going to be a two-minute penalty, I'm guessing, on Westwood. Nope, not a two-minute penalty. Just uh shot over there. I think that's Payton Trip going for the shot. It's tough to tell over there. Nice goal by Payton Trip. All right, four goals for Ashlin right now. Payton Trip with her first goal today. >> See where Payton is on the uh her alltime stats. always fun to look at. So Payne for the season has 80 points, 48 assists, 32 goals. So make that 33 goals for Payton. >> I think her sister um two years ago had her 100th goal. I remember seeing that on social media's a little bit far away from that, but trying to get to her 100th point whether by assist or goals. It's a nice win by Maggie McInness over to

027Lily Vidy. some key thing over here winning those faceoffs. Great move by Lily Vidy. >> Wow. I don't know how Payton Trip got that, but incredible play. Had a great view of that one, too. Hopefully the cameras got that same view. >> That's one you might want to kind of rewatch. over to Ashley uh Forester, senior captain. Over to Payton Trip. Payton Trip. Good save. Good shot. Saved by It's at least her second save. It looks like number It's so tough tough to see over here. their goalie number. >> That's Lily really trying to catch up but needs to stop before she crosses the line. Samantha side playing defense. Number eight, that is uh Caroline. Another one of our freshman playing defense. So, number two, Bridget Hughes. Again, not keeping any stats on Westwood, but

028she's been one of their top scorers for today. And that's a goal. All right, 94. Four minutes left. About 4 minutes 23 seconds left in the second half. I'm sorry, the first half, second quarter, nine to four. So, what's going on outside of uh girls lacrosse? First, let's talk about boys lacrosse. They are two and seven. They are playing at Westwood today. So, typically the men and the women will kind of alternate over there. So, they are playing at Westwood, which means they're probably finishing their season, regular season home against Westwood. Baseball is uh they have a 5-3 record. They are at Denim and we'll pause there and uh get back to the game. We got Maggie versus number 11 on Westwood. That's Cassie McMillan. Junior Jr. So interesting with these faceoffs. We got Junior

029versus Junior over here. Mega will kind of alternate midi and then on the offensive side kind of stay in the offense. >> Good defense by I think that was Kendall forcing the play outside. It's the job of defender over there. >> Definitely hear that communication when help is needed. >> Oh, another great save by Alana Duffy. I'm going to count that as number six for today, maybe more. Great job. Was telling someone the other day, you could not pay me money to play goalie in the cross. There are no pads on the lower extremity over there. So, a good pass from Ashley over to Alana. Both captains. Uh so I turn over there by uh who played by number seven Emma Fitzpatrick Jr. >> That one we just got to let go. >> We got

030Maggie back going up against that looks like number 11 Cassidy McMillan. Another junior. The junior junior faceoff over here. A 10-3 game with about three minutes left in the second quarter. It's going in by uh Westwood. >> Yeah, those faceoffs are key over here. Westwood is just such a highowered offense. Very efficient. Great pass. Good defense by Ashlin. That was Samantha side. Over to our goalie, Alana Duffy. Sees one of her teammate. I think that is Ashley. Yep. Ashley Forester. Over to Payton Trip. Sees Maggie McInness open. I got some numbers over here. sees Lily Vidy just outside a little high on the pass. >> It's going to be Westwood Ball trying to get our top score, Lily Vidy. Top score for her four-year career. Opportunity to get some shots on. See Lily Vidy so

031far in her Ashlin career 140 goals. That is not a misprint. 140 goals for Lily Vidy. 38 assist. That's a total of 178 points for Lily Vitty. So she is 22 points away from breaking 200 total points for her Ashlin career, which is absolutely incredible. I was looking down the papers. I kind of missed what just happened over there, but we'll just keep on playing on. So, not only is Westwoods a really good offensive team, but even when their offense has to turn the defense, they're tough to defend as well. >> That's a goal by number two, I think, against number two Bridget Hughes. Definitely one of their top scorers. score of 11 to four. >> Again, not surprising for all of their wins, they've scored 13, 15, 18, 17, and 21. So, one thing

032about this Ash lacrosse team, a lot of fighting them. They don't they never quit. Always playing hard. Some of these keys are right over here on this face off. If we can uh win some of these faceoffs. There you go. Lily Vidy trip over to keeps herself over to Maggie McInness. Maggie over to Alyssa, freshman. Got less than a minute 44 seconds. >> I'll be waiting for the last shot, but I think they just want to get a good shot over here. They have 30 seconds to get a good shot. >> It's a good penalty. >> No, >> I heard a whistle blow. I'm surprised that's Westwood's ball, but he >> I missed the call. Hello. >> Good defense by Julia. >> Good defense by I think that's Alyssa, one of our top minis over

033there. Freshman. >> Both a freshman. We have about 8 seconds over here. Oh, great save by Alana. >> Great job. Great save by Alana Duffy. That's at least number seven again. It could be more Samantha side into that defense over there. We have 11-4 at the end of the first half. So again, before we uh take a quick break, again, these are pretty much going to be the Ashlin stats over here. Four goals for Ashlin, two from uh Ashley Forester, one from Payton Trip, one from Maggie McInness. I have at least seven saves by Alana Duffy. Um so we have an 114 game over here. We're going to take a quick break uh hear from our sponsor, Townhouse Pizza, and we'll be back for second half action. Sorry. Give me the pizza right now. >>

034Brought to you in part by Townhouse. Pizza, subs, roast beef, and more. Be sure to fill up with the Buffalo chicken cow zone that's been called one of the best in the area. This is Let's go. All right, we are back for second half action. Used to be a fivem minute break, but uh quick break over here. So again, want to uh thank our great crew. We got Paul and Jeff doing their thing. And again, big shout out to Garrett and Vivian, two of our students that are working behind the cameras, doing a great job over here. I am monitoring the chat. If anyone wants to uh any shout outs for any of the teams, any your favorite players, just you know, keep it PG. All right, Ashton going left to right. We got Westwood

035going right to left. At least now I can really see the Westwood jersey. So that is Cassidy McMillan going up against Maggie McInness. key thing over here with game like this is trying to win those faceoffs over here. >> And that is a good job by Ashley Forester over to Alana. So I think Westwood is definitely covering our goalie a little bit. Sometimes they don't cover the goalie. I think Westwood is doing their best to uh defend over there. Now they're doubling Alana. >> Alana looking for teammates >> again. Alana Duffy to me one of the top top goalies in TVL. Just very very active behind the posts or in between the posts I should say. That is freshman um Caroline Brennan Campamp >> picking the ball up. Got the call over to Payton Trip.

036114 game going over here. But you know pretty highly competitive games. I think Ashlin or Westwood I should say has won a lot of the faceoffs. Goalie has made a couple of saves. We just haven't had enough shots on goal. Lana Duffy's doing her best against this pretty top powered offense in the TVL large. So say Alana's doing her thing. At least seven saves. There might be more in the first half. So that is Ashley Forester getting the call. Ashley's going for a potential third goal. They defend it, but she'll get the ball again, I think. Yep. She get one more shot over there. >> Nice job. So, actually that was Ashley Forester. So, that was my bad. I think that was number two. Silia Callahan with the assist if I got the numbers right.

037But that's Ashley Forester. Her third goal of the year. Let me go Ashley. One of our again senior captains. Two seniors. Ashley one of them, Lily the other. Three goals by Ashley. So Ashley just scored more goals today than she has her entire freshman year. That's the science stat of the day. There we go. 115. So we I know we scored the first goal in the second quarter. We scored the first goal in the third quarter. Just got to keep this momentum up. Faceoff one by Westwood. That is number I think that's 13 or 19. Number two, Bridget Hughes. A name I've said a lot. Good cut, good defense. Ashley Forester defending well over there. Westwood uh Wolverines keeping it. That's number two. Bridget Hughes over to number 13, Miller Manville. Swinging it back to

038number 11, Cassidy McMillan. Back over to number 19, Ellie Harrington, one of the sophomores on the Wolverines. Over to number 13, Miller Manville. Good defense over there by Ashlin. A good shot. Those Wolverines definitely one of the top offensive teams in the league. You know, Ashton did pretty well. They were defending and I think that was number 13. Might be wrong. Miller Manville just found a crease and uh shot the ball in the top left corner and had a nice goal over there. So, it's a gold piece for both Ashlin and Westwood. Beautiful night over here in April. >> Last Monday of April over here, April 27th. First of three games for the uh Clockers this week. >> Interesting. They go back to back with teams that have green jerseys. Got Grafton coming in on

039Wednesday. Over to number 19. That's number is that 13. So tough to see their jersey numbers. Good defense on the cut. Good defense. I didn't see who our action defender, but helped prevent that shot going up. Ball got away. Back to Bridget, one of the top scorers for uh Westwood today. Good defense by Ashley Forester. >> 12-7 still competitive game. Good defense again by Ashley. Good shot over there. >> All right, so let's go quickly finish up the uh what's going on in Ashland. So we talked about baseball boys uh five and three record. They're at Denim. Um boys tennis, they're playing denim. They're actually I think they're at denim. They have a 24 record. The girls tennis um 0 and6 now. Actually, I think we're going to be uh debuting Wednesday. WACA will be

040uh showcasing the girls tennis. So, I think that's a 4:30 start. We have a new broadcaster June. So, I think she'll be making her debut this year on the girls tennis. Definitely watch that if you can't make it to the that's at the Ashlin Middle School. It's a nice win over there. Good job by Payton Trip. Over to uh number two, Celia Kalenhan. Another one of our freshman who had that assist with Ashley's goal. Lost the ball unfortunately. Good defense by Payton Trip. Back over to their goalie. You know, both goalies for today doing a great job. Just Lana just ton of shots going up against her. So Westwoods was uh balls up. Oh, it's a good had the ball. That is Aaron Hickeyi almost with the steel. Julia Frius looking for the steel. Should

041be Ashlin Ball. Yep. Good job by Julia Frius. That was number 13. Uh Miller Manville. Junior on the Wolverines. Still Ashlin B. Frius. Take it all the way up. Julia, one of our uh young freshman basketball stars of the winter. So, if you listen to a lot of the WACA games uh for the girls team, Julia's name was mentioned quite a bit. Had the honor of calling at least one or two games with Rob Silver. Unfortunately, that was a tough turnover by Payton Trip. Good defense by Lily Vidy kind of stalling that as well as Maggie McGinness. That ball is up and out as Ashlin Ball. All right, great job by Lily and um again Maggie McInness forced the uh Westward player to pass the ball back and didn't get to the goal. He bounced

042over or bounced somewhere and Ashlin Ball. Let's see if we can uh Oh, here we go. That was I think that was Ashley to Lily Vidy. So Lily finally makes it on the board. Another that's an assist at least from Ashley Viddy. So Lily's first goal of the game. See where Lily is. I know we talked about her total stats. So for Lily Vidy, tell I'm going paperless over here with all that paper rattling. Um, that's Lily's 141st goal. So, one her 179th point. Ashley today has three goals, at least one assist. The assist are completely unofficial. So, but Ashley has at least 33 points for the year. 13-6. Halfway through, a little over halfway through the third quarter over here. >> Westwood won the faceoff. Over to number 11 on Westwood. Cassidy McMillan to

043number 14. That's Aaron Ganon. Richard Hughes again. Ball over to Alana. Or to Samantha Siet to Maggie McInness. All right. Alana. Samantha. Maggie. Junior. Jr. Going to another junior Aaron Hickey. >> Good job by Aaron. Great job by Aaron Hickeyi. So Junior Junior Jr. It's my Roger Roger Roger announcement over there. >> That was Lena early. Uh pass Payton trip to Vidy. Good defense by Westwood. Lily takes it out. Back over to Alyssa Marcelia, one of our freshman. Looks like Aaron Hickey behind. Back over to Alyssa. There's Maggie McInness open. Over to looks like Early over there. Yep. All right, Elena early. >> See if Elena can capitalize over here. Nope. So, definitely not. D shot outside the circle. Looks for a cutter. Actually, good shot. Good save by the Westwood goalie. Ball's loose. Thought

044I heard a whistle, but maybe not. Good defense by Julia. >> Slows him down. Westwood has a player roping. Good help defense by Ashland. Good switch over there by that number 11. have. I think that's one of our call-ups for today. Great defense by Ashland. Lana getting pressured over there. Look at Alana go. Lana looking for one of her teammates. Sees Julia open behind the net. Slight turnover. >> Wow, what a save by Alana. Oh, I'm You definitely want to rewatch that save over there by Alana Duffy. Ashlin gets the ball. Great job over there. Great defensive play. Great defensive pressure. started with that incredible save by Alana. She went down. Again, you cannot pay me money to play a goalie like that. There's no protection on the goalie's leg. So, hands down one of

045the top defenders in TVL. That is I think that's going to be Ashlin's ball. Nope. West. Yep. Ashlin's ball. It is. Who's that? Number 12, Kendall Wester. Westerland. Look at that speed by uh Kendall. Just keep on going. So, you have the advantage. Keep on going. And Kendall's a sophomore. Started last year as well. Played a lot of varsity time. Just a very aggressive, quick defender. Turn over by Ashlin. Number 14 on Westwood. That's Aaron Ganon. Still Westwood's ball. >> Good defense over there. Someone popped down, so she's fine. Ball goes over to number 13 on Westwood. I think >> Ashlin doing their job over there keeping the Westwood team from cutting. It's a goal by the Wolverines. So 136. Make that 146 with 7 seconds left in the third quarter. So Ashton scored two

046goals in the first, two in the second, two in the third. We just got to, you know, they only three goals in this third quarter, five goals in the second quarter, six goals in the first quarter. So we got seven seconds left in the third quarter. Obviously, I think both teams just wanted to prevent the shot. See if she can get a quick goal. That's Lily Vidy. She's got four seconds. Can she get a quick shot on two seconds? Good try. Good try. All right, so we're going to end the third quarter with a 146 lead by the Wolverines. So, we're going to take a quick break and hear from uh once again our sponsor, Townhouse Pizza, and we'll be back for fourth quarter action. Give me the pizza right now. >> Brought to you

047in part by Townhouse. Pizza, subs, roast beef, and more. Be sure to fill up with the Buffalo chicken cow zone that's been called one of the best in the area. >> Give me the pizza right now. Brought to you in part by Townhouse. Pizza, Subs, Roast beef, and more. Be sure to fill up with the Buffalo Chicken Cow Zone that's been called one of the best in the area. Am I muted? I don't know if I'm all right, we are back for fourth quarter action. I just want to quickly do a quick shout out for this Wednesday's game, girls lacrosse here in Ashlin High School at 6:00 p.m. Um definitely if you can try and make it here for the game. It this is going to be one of those uh um special games. It's

048going to be to promote the awareness for student athlete mental health and to remove uh the stigma surrounding that. So uh definitely check out Morgan's message. Go ahead and go to that website. Mortgage Morgan's message 501c uh 501c3 strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health with the student athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. So great nonforprofit. A lot of schools are kind of promoting this um great cause as well. So Morgan's message um that's what the uh game on Wednesday against Grafton. So, uh I don't think WACA will be hosting that game. I think we'll be calling the tennis game. Um but if you're around, definitely uh try and support that great cause and obviously support the Ashlin girls lacrosse when they play against Grafton. Start to

049the fourth quarter. We have Maggie McInness, Lily Vidy, Payton Trip. White ball. It's a nice win. It's what we need. So Ashlin, we've been pretty good with the first shot over there. First goal of each quarter. We just got to keep that momentum up. Now, I learned something from hearing uh Kevin McGinness's broadcast uh last week regarding the rules in the fourth quarter with goals. So, if it's I think 10 goals or more in the fourth quarter, the clock will continue to run. Um both teams either want to win or the winning team wants to try and win by more than seven points. It helps with their MIA. Losing team wants to obviously prevent losing by seven goals. So, both teams over here, they're going to continue to fight and play until the end over

050here. You know it's a eight-goal lead as we know with athletics anything can happen. That is Samantha site with the ball over to Payton trip. Payton trip moving to the left hand down the left sidelines over the 20 sees one of her teammates that is freshman Alyssa with the ball. Again, 14-6. Just start in the fourth quarter over here. >> Westwood Ashlin always a very very two competitive teams in sports. Fall, winter, basketball, football, boys, girls lacrosse, girls volleyball, field hockey. Wow, that's a goal by Lily Vidy with an assist from Maggie McInness. So, Lily getting her second goal. >> That is at least Maggie's second point. She now has 97 points, unless she has another assist that I miss. So, again, to start this game, Maggie McInness Jr. number 14 started the game with

05195 total points. That's combined goals and assist. So at least she has 97 points because I at least have one goal, one assist, but she might have more than one assist from those seven goals. So th those numbers are unofficial, but we at least know she has 97 points. It's a great team accomplishment or individual accomplishment for this young captain. Good hustle by West. Actually, good hustle by both teams. is the number 11 Cassie McMillan. A name I've said a lot today. Just was able to get the ball. It's Kendall defending over there. Definitely one of our top defenders. Little pass defended by Payton Trip. That is Aaron Hickeyi actually number 16. She's playing a little midi both ways. Sometimes uh Aaron Hickey is playing offense. Wow, great shot by number 13 Miller Miller Manville

052Jr. It's a 15-sec games. That's an eight-goal lead. So again, obviously Westwood is trying to keep that sevengoal lead. Dash wants to keep that if they do lose just trying to lose by uh less than seven. Again, this Tuesday for all high school sports, MIA rankings are coming out. It's always important to kind of see where the teams are ranking. Typically, the top 32 teams in each division will qualify for the MIA playoffs. And then if you're over 500, you also qualify as well. So my expectation is both Westwood Wolverines and the Ashlin Clockers will both be making the playoffs. I would say expert opinion, but not an expert here. Lily Reid with a nice So Megan McInness with a nice win to Lily. Back over to Payton to Aaron Hickey and also one of

053our star field hockey players, >> one of our juniors as well. Aaron to Payton Trip. >> Good team defense on on Payton Trip. And uh turn over there by Ashlin. That is Ashley Forester chasing that down. Speed on speed. Good job by Ashley. That's number 21 Jillian Walsh. And good job by Forester. Forester has a great game so far. Few goals, assist playing good defense. Ashley is the middle of three Forester kids. Son plays baseball. Brother, I should say son. That's a flag over the head. Who's that on >> either on Ashley or Samantha Scot? Not sure. I missed it, but that's okay. All right. So, let's see. That is number two Bridget Hughes. One of the top scorers for today. Going to go high, then fake then low. It's goal by Bridget Hughes. So

054that's a 17-7 lead right now. Eight minutes left. Think 17-7. My score might be off a little bit. Maybe it's 16-7. So the one team I didn't get to on all of Ashlin spring sports is our girls softball team. So huge shout out to them. They are eight and one. 8 and one. They were not above 500 last year. That is a huge I know we have a new coach, but that is a huge turnaround for this young Ashlin softball team. So, definitely try and come out, support their games. I know Mike Kyra has been calling a lot of their games. Um, I think Mike and Josh Abrams, my 516 brother, just means we're both birthdays on May 16th. They called the game on Saturday. Got some great field interviews with a few of their

055players. I know Jeff and Paul were kind of sharing that with me a little bit. Not going to say I'm a little jealous of that. That's the cool thing about the WACA team. They're always very innovative with the technology and just kind of thinking outside the box, indoor, outdoor, playing around with different tools, technology, the uh wireless headsets. So, but Mike Cars called a bunch of the girls softball games, so definitely check them out. 8 and one. Definitely playoffbound. They got a some really top pitchers, a young pitcher, um, one of the freshman. I'm drawing a blank on her name. Great turnaround for that program, though. Good defense by Ashlin, but uh, got the call. I don't see why. Maybe a pushoff. Thought that was pretty good defense, but got the call. Looks like number

056seven on Westwood, Emma Fitzpatrick. Good shot. They would have cut through the middle, fake down, and went up. So that actually 17-7. So that's a 10-goal lead. Again, Westwood is a top scoring team. Ashlin is not quitting though. They're playing hard. They they uh always have a lot to play with. Very well coached team. coached by uh we got Katie, coach Molly, Foley, we got Michelle and coach Tess. So, a lot of those coaches are also involved with field hockey. So, very involved with our fall and spring athletes. 17-7 going on over here. Maggie McInness with the faceoff. It's a win by Westwood. get those face offs are usually they're critical in this game over here just because uh so tough to defend but also the uh offensive team can just use up a ton

057of clock. So I think that's what Westwood's probably going to do right now. They have a 10goal lead. Their goal really is besides getting a win is keep the the game above seven goals. So right now it means Ashton's going to have to start kind of pressuring maybe taking some uh slight gamles at this point. really nothing to lose because they score, they score, but they want to try and get the ball, get that deficit under seven goals. It's either seven or under seven. >> Wow, great save by Alana. Again, that's eight for her. My stats might be completely wrong. We're going to assume that one is correct. So, we're going to go at least eight. That goes from Alana to P into Aaron Hickey the junior junior junior was Alyssa Marcia freshman keeps the

058ball over to Maggie McInness had the pleasure of coaching Maggie McInness in many sports love to she can break that 100 point mark today just selfishly because I'm on the call and I know Maggie very well know for her parents, even though her sister never got us Yukon basketball tickets. Maybe next year. >> Maggie, big shot. Big goal by Maggie McInness. She definitely heard me. So, that is Maggie's at second goal. So, she has two goals today. At least one assist. So, I don't really know how many assists because I haven't been keeping track, but Maggie at least has 98 points. 98 points. So, I have a feeling I'll hear we'll hear the crowd erupting if she gets that 100th point either by goals or assists. So, great job by Maggie McGinness coming back from

059that tough injury last year, I think last spring. Missed most of soccer, but has worked her her tail off to be back in the sport that she loves. So, great job by Maggie McInness. face off one by Westwood Wolverines. Pain trip defending at the side defending behind the net. We have a 178 game. So Ashley needs at least two more goals to get to that sevengoal limit over there. Definitely have to start pressuring a little bit. There's the pressure. Hard part is if you miss it then Westwood's so efficient with their scores with their goals I should say or their shots shots on net >> there might be the turnover we needed see who's ball Ashlin Bar right good defense by Ashlin defense coming through over here clock is running right now 3 minutes and

06040 seconds. Ashlin. So, both teams are playing for something right now. Ashlin definitely wants to try and score. They want to try and break it. So, it's seven points or less. That looks like Alyssa, our freshman, lost the ball, unfortunately. I think that's Alyssa. White ball. kept with it over to I think that's Aaron Hickey to Ashley Forester. Paint trip is open. Has has some room over there to Lily Vidy. Maggie had some space. That's going to be a shot though for uh Payton Trip. Clock is running right now. Two minutes 40 seconds. Pain trip going for her. >> Wow. Good assist. Who was that? Was that Ashley? Look at Ashley. Ashley Forester. That is her fourth goal. That's an assist by Payton Trip. So Ashley four goals. Maggie McInness two goals. Lily two goals.

061and paying trip with a goal. Alana with at least eight saves and that's a timeout by coach Katie. So give us one more chance to kind of um couple calls out. One again want to thank our sponsor townhouse pizza and roast beef always such a great sponsor not only for girls lacrosse but for many of the WAC almost all of the WACA events. If you are interested in in uh sponsoring, definitely get in touch with the WACA crew. Love to have you on board, whether it's for spring or maybe for next year. And again, a quick call out for our incredible crew, both Paul and Jeff. Two guys that are kind of like our our leaders of our of almost everything with WACA. I know Paul was working a lot up up with me a

062little bit today. Again, quick shout out to our two students behind the cameras, Garrett and Vivian. Garrett is a eighth grader. Viven is a freshman. Both doing a great job over here. I've had the chance to kind of check out the game a little bit looking at the chat. So, if you are interested in uh anything with WAC, whether it's announcing, whether it's the camera work, any backend work, just uh let us know. Love to have you. Always had a great group of uh young athletes doing a lot with WACA. Love to kind of help have you help and uh contribute. So, we are down. Ashlin's down 17-9. Let's see what Katie drew up in the timeout. So, Ashley actually did the um faceoff. Won by Ashlin. That's number 13 on Westwood Miller. I have

063a feeling if Ashlin scores whatever, coach Katie probably will call another timeout to uh stop the game. That's going to be a Kendall might have got her on the head. So, it's going to be Westwood ball. And they did. They caught her for two minutes. So, that's unfortunate. But Kendall, honestly, such a great player, good teammate as well, always has a smile on her face, but very aggressive defender and kind of does her job and and her teammates love her. So, it's just unfortunate play. So Ashley's going to be short one player. >> Wow, great save by Alana. That's at least number nine. >> At least number nine from Alana Duffy. Lana to Samantha. Over to Duffy. I'm sorry. Over to Forester. Ball got away. Wow. All right, that's at least number 10. Got 10

064saves from Alana. >> Alana to Payton Trip to Maggie McInness. The junior junior Lana Payton Maggie we need to go over here down by eight >> short-handed. Happy WAC is covering this. We got some action over here. Ashlin definitely needs a goal. >> Uh I think they called offside so All right, we have >> eight. Yep. Ruff is called off sides. Vi Viddy trying to defend over there. Ball over to Westwood. >> So, I'm guessing right now West was just going to try and uh >> Interesting. I thought they were just trying to keep the ball outside and not prevent Ashlin from stealing, but they're trying to score. >> That's a goal by Westwood. So, it's probably going to end the game right now. It's 18-9. So Westwood has four goals this quarter to Ashland's

065three. Got eight seconds left. Clock does come to a stop. So coming up on WACA, I know at least we're going to have on Wednesday, I haven't checked the whole schedule, we'll have tennis at the Ashlin Middle School. I think that's a 4:30 time. I know the girls lacrosse, they will be back on Wednesday as well against Grafton. Again, if you can uh come support that game for Morgan's message and that will do it for um for today. So, the Westwood Wolverines win 18 to N. We'll just kind of go over some quick stats before we uh call it a day. Alana Duffy, our number 50 junior goalie, one of the top goalies in TVL, at least 10 saves. Again, that is definitely unofficial. I wouldn't be surprised if it's more than 10 saves. Maggie

066McInness, two goals and at least one assist. That makes Maggie's points total points 98. So, I might have missed an assist or two. We shall see. Lily Viddy at least two goals or two goals for Lily. Um Ashley Forester four goals. Pain trip one goal. So, I think that's it. Did not get any of the stats for the West um Westwood Wolverines. >> And that's going to be it. So, again, we want to thank our sponsors today. Uh Townhouse Pizza again, always such a great sponsor. Definitely check them out. You can order online, call them up, visit their uh location. Want to thank our incredible, hardworking crew. We got Paul and Jeff. Again, we got Garrett and Vivian on the cameras doing a great job. Kind of got lucky today because it's a gorgeous day.

067It's not always the uh easiest over here on top of the um the broadcast booth over here, especially in the fall time in the winter and then the early part of the spring. But they did a great job doing their thing. So if you are interested in uh inquiring about any um work with the WACA team, whether it's announcing camera work, definitely uh reach out to the WACA team and love to chat with you. And that is the Westwood team cheering on that to their parents. So again, congratulations to Westwood. Great job by the Ashlin girls. Westwood goes to six and three. Ashlin goes to four and five. Next game for the Ashlin girls lacrosse 6:00 against Grafton. I am Brian Sces. Thank you again for uh watching today's game, Ashlin vers. And with that,

068WACA go clockers. Thank you all. Give me the pizza right now. >> Brought to you in part by Townhouse. Pizza subs, roast beef, and more. Be sure to fill up with the Buffalo chicken cowzone that's been called one of the best in the area. >> Real fun is when they have the the fall sports like football and when you're over here. >> I play soccer. So, >> Oh, so Oh, you do? Oh, okay. >> I play soccer. >> You both play soccer? >> Okay. So, you So, at least you're moving around a little bit, but you're on the field. But I remember Paul did the Thanksgiving game >> and that was in November. >> Oh my gosh. >> I only went to the homecoming, but >> that was the
